So I'm (25F) sick, likely MS (I had a head MRI in September, several lesions on my brain). My GP referred me to a neurologist and the appointment is today, after an 8 month wait. I probably should have searched the doctor's name sooner, but I got the appointment confirmation on Friday which says:
I called my GP clinic on Friday and she wasn't available, but she just called me about 20 minutes ago and she's absolutely insistent that he's a neurologist. The hospitals website says this doctor is a nephrologist. In the list of neurologists, there's someone with his surname but a different first name. I searched the address on my appointment confirmation, and on street view there's a sign with "nephrology, urology and gastroenterology" written on it.
I just called the hospital and there's nothing they can do if it's the wrong doctor. I need another referral. The wait to see a neurologist is 6-12 months. The next closest hospital/neurologist is 200km away so it's not feasible going elsewhere. There is a private hospital in my area too, but they're the same consulting doctors as this public hospital. They don't consider this urgent despite having already lost a lot of fine motor function, and have numbness, spasms, twitching eyes, and bladder issues - this has been going on for 10 years, more or less. I feel like this is serious, but nobody else does.
My GP is so useless. She always messes up scripts and doesn't give a crap about you. She even reported my s**cidal ideation as "mild low mood and anxious thoughts" when doing my referral to a psychologist. It took me over a year to find her because nobody is taking new patients in my area and I've been looking for a new one since, but I can't manage to get in anywhere else. I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm going to d!e waiting.

My childhood was amazing. I grew up in a joint family of 16 members and life was never boring. It was the typical patriarchal household where the male goes to work and the women cooks, clean and tend to their children.
Growing up, I’ve always been closer to my dad. Every morning he would leave for his job around 7 am and come back home during dinner around 8 pm. My morning started with my dad dressing me up and bidding me goodbye and my day ended with him bringing chocolates or any edibles for me and my younger brother.
I clearly remember he would bring chocolates like dairy milk, kit-kat, milkybar and healthy snacks like salted cashews. We would diligently wait for him every single evening in the hope of getting the chocolate rewards or guess what he would bring tonight.
After having dinner, he would always got for a walk to relieve the stress and like the daddy’s girl I was, I would cling to him, climb up to his shoulder and start talking anything and everything. Sitting in his shoulders somewhat made me feel closer to the moon and we would together count the stars.
He had a very demanding job as a Professor and would travel 120 kilometres every single day, just to come back to his family and kids. He had the choice to live near his college and come back home on weekends, but he chose to travel every single day with public transportation because we didn’t own a car. One of my uncles also had similar job as my dad but he lived near his college and would come back home only on weekends. His kids grew up mostly without his presence and became closer to my dad.
I’m forever thankful for all of my dad’s sacrifices and hardwork to give us the childhood we deserved. He was present with us in every single step, be it annual day performance or our results day. It breaks my heart to see my mom berating him for not doing enough for the family, while he have dedicated his entire life to us and never put himself first. He never got any financial help from my mom as she became a SAHM after marriage, yet he provided us a comfortable lifestyle. Whatever we demanded, we got it. It was summer and we needed AC, we got it. I was starting college and needed a laptop, I got a Macbook. All my friends had iPhone, I got an iPhone. There are days when my gut wrenches realising my father is still financially responsible for me and my brother, as I’m still studying. As much as I want to earn, there are no better prospects in my country which won’t hamper my studies if I join them. I’m penning my thoughts in the hope that in future, I will come back to this post and be proud for achieving the dreams of my dad and showing him the world. Until then, I need to push myself for a better career and start working hard.

Hi there! I'm a DM whose been running games for my friends for 4 years now. I love to world build, create engaging stories, and give my players epic moments! I aim to always make immersive experiences for my players, so they can explore all they can see.
Now a little about me. I'm a 27 year old guy from the U.S. who loves D&D. My friends call me an artist, resident nerd, and a guy who likes to cook too much. The city's artistic expression has brought countless stories told in lands known and unknown claiming every street is lined in color, and every blade more beautiful then the last.

Character Systems We Use
Milestone Leveling : The campaign is about the parties story. Achievements, story progression, and major events reward the party with levels, and even feats. I want you to be rewarded for playing your character.
Multi-Classing : Multi-Classing is allowed within what makes sense for the character. A choice should be story driven and thematic.
Level 8 Start & Magic Items : Start at the same level as the entire party, and dive right into adventure with a magical boost.
Level 1 Origin & Background Feats : Every character gets 2 bonus feats at level 1 from a set of selected story driven feats & between Tough, Magic Initiate, or Skilled.
Bonus Feats : Every time you gain an ASI you always gain a +1 to a stat and either a half or full feat.
Piety Paths : Follow your characters virtues and beliefs and earn powerful boons for following your character's goals.
Supernatural Gifts : Earn supernatural gifts to further your character's heroic journey, or even start as an oracle or iconoclast character.
Spell & Martial Mastery : Master weapons and signature spells to make them more powerful with unique versions and skills for your character.
Expanded Weapons : Get access to advanced weapon options to further develop your character.
Crafting : You can find and acquire materials to craft your own items from elemental gems to infernal weapons.
Homebrew : We use well tested homebrew to make characters feel unique and special to help flavor characters to what you want them to be. You can find this in home brew feats, spells, subclasses, and magic items.
Rule of Cool : I always support players being creative and curious. Should an action allow for something truly heroic I always give my players a shot!

Live Calendar : A calendar of holidays and events to track your parties journey through Anglorak.
Interactive World Map : A world map full of details of landmarks, cities, and regions to help you learn and plot your path across Anglorak and beyond.
Foundry / Discord / D&D Beyond : We play our games in Foundry, and players get access to nearly all the books on D&D Beyond to develop your character, and a personal discord for the campaign.
Scheduling
Sessions are on Saturday nights starting at 8:00 PM EST.
We play 3-4 Hours weekly, going longer if time allows.
Expectations
- Be Respectful, Patient, and Supportive.
- LGBT+ friendly group & we want everyone to feel happy and comfortable.
- Attendance is important. If you miss 2 sessions without notice you'll be dropped.
- No Metagaming : I'd like players to be able to stay in character, and think in character.
- Characters must be team players : An adventurer needs a reason to travel together, look for companions, and trust each other. D&D is a collaborative story telling experience we should enjoy together.
- Communicate : Whether it is in character with other players or the world, issues or questions out of character, or advice from the DM, communicate your thoughts. We all want to have fun, and make sure nobody feels left out or confused.

I really really wanted a single because I just really value my privacy. My college actually does have a lot of singles, but we can't choose. It's all random, but there is a survey that we have to fill out and based on those results the algorithm matches us to a room. How should I approach the questions that ask what time do you sleep and wake up? Here they are below:

Hi everyone. First time in Japan for my husband and I's belated honeymoon (!). Will be brief below; just wanted to know if this was a reasonable pace for 21 days. Would love to hear any specific recommendations for some chill to intermediate hiking trails out of any of the below mentioned areas. Thanks everyone!
August 24: YYZ HND
August 25: Land in HND late afternoon. Keikyu line from HND to hotel in Asakusa. Rest.
August 26: Asakusa and Ueno area (usual sights; mainly walking if possible).
August 27: Akihibara and Shinjuku (Shopping/browsing, museums then Golden Gai at night)
August 28: Tsujiki outer market (AM) then Ginza for the afternoon. Prepare for Mt Fuji trek.
August 29-30: Mt Fuji Summit.
August 31: Rest day OR Harajuku/Shibuya (alternatively, can move to end of trip).
Sept 1: Forward luggage to Osaka. Shinkansen to Kyoto; check into Ryokan and spend rest of the day exploring Gion, Kiyomizu-dera, Nishiki market.
Sept 2: Fushimi Inari (as early as we can, but planning on doing the hike up), then back to Kyoto for more castles/temples.
Sept 3: Arashiyama bamboo forest + Kinkaku-ji (originally planned to do it in this order, but if we do Kinkaku-ji first then maybe we can do Arashiyama for sunset - can anyone comment on crowds during sunset?). Transit to Osaka.
