‘It is only a fool’s dare to venture into the Kaskal trench. That is what the people of my hometown used to say to deter travelers from meeting their demise inside the unforgiving trench. But to me, whenever I look down the slope of this ungodly crater I understood what they saw that was worth risking their lives for. It was the allure of curiosity. To see the limits of which our world’s imagination could run. But only fools dare to venture into the Kaksal and I was the biggest fool of them all.
It had been what I would assume is a week since I crossed the so-called event horizon of Kaskal, a point of no return. But with that, I also opened my eyes to the true harshness of what lay below us all the time. A world much like an endless forest, but the heavy mist has made me lose sight of my exit and lose faith in return. I have been surviving on what I assume are cocoons containing a gum-like substance. The more I move forwards in any direction the more it feels like I am heading deeper into the trench. I sometimes catch a glimpse of something stalking me in my peripheral vision, but I have yet to find out what it is.”
Mort put down his pen as he took a heavy breath out. As he looked at his watch to check the time, he noticed that it had stopped ticking. Frustratingly he knocked on it in the hope of getting it fixed, but it was to no avail. So he picked up his backpack and prayed that the gods would lead him on the right path.
Soon, he arrived on a rocky plain filled with coral-like creatures, they took turns spewing heavy steam in an almost clockwork manner. Mort guessed that they must be the source of all the steam that was blocking out the sun. He questioned how many more places like this much be for them to produce this much steam. Then he noticed a peculiar creature, it was a blimp-like collection of sludge that attacked itself on top of the coral. As the coral blew steam, it lifted itself into the air and absorbed the intense heat.
“That must be how they feed.” He muttered to himself. “And if they feed then they must in return fertilize the coral. Hence, they live in a symbiotic relationship.”
He patted himself proudly for the logical conclusion and continued forward.
It was not much later when he exited the rocky field and now that he had a better look at it, it seemed like the coral encircled a part of the Kaskal trench rather than being present in scattered colonies. Now he came upon a forest full of willow trees that secreted nectar that smelt like rotting corpses. As he was admiring the corpse trees, he heard a sudden rustle behind him. Suddenly a leopard seal leaped down from one of the trees, but this leopard seal had muscular limbs instead of flippers. It slowly approached him as it clicked with its mouth, but Mort didn’t wanna play the odds of guessing if this creature was a herbivore or a carnivore, so he took off in a sprint.
It was only a few hours later when the creature stopped pursuing him. Exhausted and starving, laid down under a tree in a pile of wilted leaves. He grunted, gasped, and broke into tears as he realized that he was never gonna see his hometown again. But the trench didn’t have pity on the restless and suddenly in front of him the most bizarre creature appeared. A bipedal stickman-like creature with no arms. It didn’t have any features and was as dark as the abyss. It awkwardly stumbled around at tree roots like a blind man who lost his walking stick but was incidentally walking in his direction.
Mort shrank his figure to hide himself in the leaves, but the creature slowly inched towards him until it was only an arm's length away. Mort’s breath raced as he saw his imminent death. Then suddenly, dropped and went into a fetal-like position as it huddled itself.
He suddenly realized how weak the creature was and from the way it walked, it was probably blind. It was a miracle something like this could even manage to survive in such a harsh environment.

I am the 4th owner of this car. I know the exhaust was modified and the car was lowered but didn’t know the electricity was also modified.
My mechanic don’t believe the console is even related to the other issues. He doesn’t know what is the cause and don’t find this a reason to sell the car. I am a little skeptical of my mechanic. Since my gf’s mechanic had a 3 week waiting list, I had go to mine. He is not sure what is the main issue and is replacing part by parts. He said to replace the amplifier, the compressor, and the console in the middle which cost $10,000- $15,000. However, I am afraid it is actually not the real problem and the parts he replaced would once again breakdown. He is now awaiting for the parts to come in and we don’t even know when that would be.
I don’t believe something is wrong with the middle compartment since it sometimes work. I think it is the electricity not travelling through. However, my mechanic just wants to replace it.

- The first week of driving the car I noticed the break always squeak when I first turn on the car but as a drive it goes away. I was told not it is not fixable and lube won’t do.
- Half a year later the car sometimes doesn’t respond to the key remote and I would have to manually unlock or lock the car
- A year later, the AC stopped working. Even if I turn off the AC, the car still keeps blowing out very hot air. In the summer, it is very unpleasant to even be in the car. The faster you go the more hot air blows out.
- The heater seat also stopped working
- Few weeks ago, the middle compartment where the GPS (screen) also stopped working. I can no longer play music in the car and all outlets don’t work. USB outlet also doesn’t work. However, it does all of a sudden work few times a weeks.
- Last week, the arm rest on the passenger side started to boil heat and barely is touchable.

I'm terrified of playgrounds.
Not the mild discomfort most people experience when they're too old for the swings, but a bone-chilling, skin-crawling terror that roots me to the spot whenever I see one. This fear isn't irrational, nor did it appear out of nowhere. It's the product of a series of harrowing experiences during my childhood.
It's a strange fear, I know. Playgrounds, with their slides and swings, are usually synonymous with joy, laughter, and childhood innocence. But for me, they evoke memories of a time when a sinister threat was hiding in plain sight. They remind me of the day my best friend, Philip, vanished without a trace.
We grew up in a small, rural town - a quaint place isolated from the bustle and dangers of the city. It was a time before the internet when everything seemed simpler, and our playground was our haven, our escape from the grown-up world.
But, our idyllic childhood was marred by the rumors of a white van, said to snatch children away as dusk fell. Parents, in their fear, enforced an unyielding curfew. We were to be home before 8:00 p.m. - no exceptions.

- Question, is that good or bad that there is more positive pressure than it can exhaust?
- Is the diy 210W LED lamp going to be sufficient for my 0.5m² growery? And what type of colours should i prioritize, since they're split into 3 different controllers. With 5m each controller.
- Also, i looked up my local tap water information, and the pH level is 7.2, since it has some clorine in it, but only like 1ppm. Should i use the tap water or should i get lower pH level for watering.
- Nutrients. Please for the love of god, is 6-4-5 NPK enough for the whole grow? Or should i increase the Phosphor amount in the flowering stage.
- How many plant's should i grow in there at once, i did some math and i can fit four 30cm 15L pots in there, but would it even be worth it?
- Can anyone give me a guesstimate of what the yield could be in these situations with daily maintenance and training?

- We currently have a gas boilefurnace to provide heat.
- We currently have no cooling
- In the winter months we have a peak heat loss/demand of ~7kW / 24k BTU/hr
- We have (water based) under floor / radiant heating, hence the requirement for air-to-water
- The summer months we would like cooling, not a huge cooling demand as the peak outdoor temp is 32C/90F, but more like 23C/74F average (hence the requirement for air-to-air indoor units)
- Hot water (for showers etc) needs to be produced via the HP in the winter. The summer months this is achieved via a solar immersion diverter, but would be good to use the HP here as well.
- Europe based
And advice would be appreciated... even if it's to say... "not technically possible".

2023.05.29 10:56 IvanIvanavich Are temp spikes like these normal for an air cooler?
So I finished my build today and I noticed something on the benchmarks, the CPU (I7-13700KF) was quickly spiking up to well over 90 degrees but just as quickly fell back down to normal operating temps as soon as I heard the fans really get going. So I got back to building, took off the air cooler (AK620) cleaned it off, cleaned the CPU lid off, reseated the CPU and the thermalright mounting bracket, reapplied the thermal paste and tried again. This time it was similar except the average idle temps were a little lower.
This is my first time building using an air cooler for the CPU and I don’t have enough experience with them to know what exactly I should expect. I would figure this could be normal as a pump could probably change its speed much faster than a fan could and thus respond to heat changes much faster. But that is really only an educated guess.
TLDR Never built using an air cooler for CPU, temp spikes to 80-90C under initial load then quickly falls back down to normal operating temps, is this to be expected?
