2023.06.01 04:33 OrionAldebaran CIG first increased ship prices of existing, already in-game-ships secretely, got a backlash on Spectrum and now delayed it until June 27. How bad were this year’s ILW sales?
2023.06.01 04:33 AleeSarion I suspect my husband is a narcissist and I'm too naive to handle him. Do I stay for our son or leave to save myself the hardships?
I recently had a eureka moment when I put together the incidents that have occured over our years together. I'll keep it short and not list them but in general he puts himself first with everything and seems to lack the ability to care genuinely for me and our son (6 yrs). We have been together since I was 19 and have been married for 7 yrs, together for 11yrs. The number one issue is that he has not had a steady job for about 8 of those 11yrs, only getting a job or money when he either gets wind that I'm about to leave him or I basically explode and tell him off. I don't like doing that. I want to state my problem clearly and have him address it but he doesn't even acknowledge it unless I act like a complete maniac and I am just not that person. He also doesn't feel any guilt over me being the main (and, most times, only) bread winner which has resulted in us being barely able to afford food and shelter and unable to afford a car nor at the fact that I have had to keep this job that I hate just so that I can feed our family for all these years. It has kept me from attending university (he had the chance at the beginning of our relationship but just stopped attending university, no matter how much I tried to encourage him, just because....). I had not noticed the red flags when I was younger but I can no longer be the naive, accepting wife. My problem is that he seems to not notice when he's being an asshole (or he's very manipulative...I haven't figured that part out yet) so he does it more often than I am able to handle. I'm tired of teaching him to be a basic, descent human being (the few times he's willing to acknowledge his actions as something a normal person wouldn't do) and would like to be with someone who loves me and treats me like they love me: nurses me when I'm sick, comforts me when I'm sad, shows appreciation for me on special occasions, takes me on dates, shares the responsibilities of raising our child and burdens of running a household, remembers what I like (especially in bed), etc. He does none of these things... But he's the father of my child. He has also started a steady job and plans to start back attending university so it seems like he has decided to grow up. The problem with this is that he always does just the bare minimum to keep me from leaving him (I had planned to do so when I turned 30 if he continued in his ways).
"TL;DR" He would not willingly meet my needs as a woman nor his life partner nor a co-parent. However, I know that if I threaten to leave him and quarrel often, I can get him to do just about anything but I hate having to be that person. Do I consider it as a necessity to keep my marriage together for the sake of my son or just leave so that I can have a peaceful, loving household with my son but an absent father? Or is there a magical solution where I can have both: peaceful naivety and a loving husband?

2023.06.01 04:33 sadie11 [Misc] Did your skin change for the worse after starting and stopping Differen?
I used Differen a few years ago and while I liked some of the results, it made my skin very sensitive, reactive, and dry. So I eventually stopped using it. Prior to using Differen my skin was kind of sensitive and prone to redness, but it wasn't really dry. But now, even though I haven't used Differen or any retinol/retinoid in a few years my skin is still prone to dryness. I don't believe my skin barrier is compromised because until a couple of weeks ago my routine consisted of a bland and basic cleanser and moisturizer. I just recently introduced azalic acid into my routine twice a week, but even before I started using it my skin was prone to dryness.
I'm just curious if anyone has noticed changes in their skin after starting and then stopping Differen or any other retinol or retinoid.

2023.06.01 04:30 ThrowRA-Chicgurl Terrible pain after acupuncture/cupping for whiplash
6 months ago I (23F) was rear ended at a red light as the passenger. I’ve had severe back/neck/shoulder pain for months and hear constant clicking and cracking. After months of going to the chiropractor and not seeing results I decided to try acupuncture instead. I had my first appointment yesterday and after discussing my history with the doctor she decided to do cupping as well. This was my first time with cupping (not acupuncture though, for diff reasons) so I had no idea what to expect. She put the needles in and it was more painful then I remember acupuncture being. When she did the cupping some spots felt good and some spots I was in agony. At the end of the appointment, getting up I couldn’t even turn my head, I was in a tremendous amount of pain I couldn’t even touch where the pain was bc it hurt so bad. It’s been a day and the pain has subsided a tiny bit but I still have bad pain where she said I was “tight” in my upper neck and feel the urge to crack more then ever. My whole upper back is also dark purple from the cupping. Is this normal? Should I keep going?

So I grew up in a not so strict Catholic family (went to church but never talked about it at home) At about 10 I called bullshit and became atheist. Now I’m 21 and in the past few months I took a interest in Tibetan Buddhism, philosophy, multi universe theory, DMT, quantum mechanics, quantum super computers and now Carl Jung’s “The Red Book” I fully believe in god now. Does this make sense to any els ?

2023.06.01 04:28 Traveling_Wanderer30 Return of the Jedi/Saved By The Bell Mashup
I’m 43 and I watched the tv show Saved By The Bell when I was a kid. Sorry if you’ve never heard of it. Google it. You’ll see. It was a show from the early 90s.
Anyway, I was thinking of this wild idea. I thought of it because I will be honest. I want to see Kelly in the Leia bikini from Return of the Jedi.
What if they did a “Saved By The Bell” where Zack and the gang try to free Slater from the carbonite like they did Han?
So Jabba has Slater hanging on his wall in a slab of carbonate. And Zack, Screech, Kelly, Lisa, Jessie, and Mr. Bending decide to rescue Slater.
Suppose Zack talks smart nerds into stealing “guard” outfits from Jabba’s men. Screech and his robot Kevin go in first as C-3PO and R2D2. Screech would make a great C-3PO!
Then Jessie, Lisa, and Kelly sneak Mr. Belding in as a prisoner and Kelly thaws Slater out of the carbonite. Lisa complains how her “guard” outfit clashes with Jabba’s palace’s color scheme.
Kelly gets captured and put in Leia’s bikini. Anyway, Zack shows up later like Luke did.
After Zack fights the Rancor and wins, they take Slater and Mr. Belding out of their cell and sentence Zack, Slater, and Mr. Belding to death. And Slater says: “Nice rescue attempt, Preppy” As Slater starts to regain his eyesight, he comments on how hot Kelly looks in that gold bikini and Jessie whispers how Slater is a “sexist pig.”
Right before Zack jumps off the plank into the Sarlaac pit, he says: “time out” then looks at the camera and says, “this isn’t good. Jabba will kill me if I don’t think of something fast. Time in!” And Kevin the robot sneaks Zack his light saber.
What do you think?

2023.06.01 04:28 BulkyVeterinarian342 My 17yo ran away. What now?
The other day my wife and I found a vape pen in my son’s room while he was at work. She texted him questioning him about it and told him we can discuss when he gets home. Well when he got home he parked his truck and jumped into another car that pulled up behind him. I’m assuming it’s one of his friends. We texted and called all night and never got a response. The next afternoon she was able to get him on the phone for about 2 minutes. He told her he wasn’t coming home and not going to tell us where he is. He’s been gone 3 days now. No text, no calls, not going to work, absolutely nothing. We already reported him as a runaway. I’m just unsure of what to do now. He left with nothing but the clothes he had on which worries me even more. He didn’t take extra clothes, his computer, identification documents, only his phone and what he wore to work. Do I stop texting and try to give him some time? Do I keep texting and calling? I feel hopeless and lost… I am lost.

2023.06.01 04:27 GetTherapyBham We have a QEEG brain mapping clinic opening at my office. A lot if the overlap between Jungian ideas and the Beebe model is pretty cool
QEEG Brain Mapping and Neurostim
How does QEEG read personality?
qEEG brain mapping is a powerful tool used by healthcare professionals to analyze various types of brain waves, including delta, alpha, theta, beta, and high beta waves. These waves, with their unique frequencies, provide valuable insights into a person’s neurological functioning and potential cognitive or mental health issues. In order to rank highly on Google SEO, we will delve deeper into what these waves feel like and how they impact thinking.
Delta Waves:
Delta waves are the slowest brain waves, with a frequency of 0.5-4 Hz. They are typically associated with deep sleep and can also be present in coma patients. The sensation of delta waves is often described as a profound state of relaxation, where the mind is in a state of rest and rejuvenation.
Alpha Waves:
Alpha waves have a frequency of 8-12 Hz and are usually observed when a person is awake but relaxed. They are commonly experienced when closing the eyes or practicing meditation. Decreased alpha waves may be linked to anxiety or depression, while increased alpha waves may indicate improved relaxation and stress reduction. The sensation of alpha waves is often described as a state of calmness and peacefulness.
Theta Waves:
Theta waves have a frequency of 4-8 Hz and are typically observed during light sleep or drowsiness. They may also be present during meditation or creative activities. In qEEG brain mapping, an increase in theta waves may be associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), while a decrease in theta waves may be associated with cognitive decline in older adults. The sensation of theta waves is often described as a dreamy, introspective state.
Beta Waves:
Beta waves have a frequency of 12-30 Hz and are usually present when a person is awake and engaged in cognitive or physical activities. They are associated with alertness, focus, and concentration. Abnormalities in beta waves can be linked to conditions such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia. The sensation of beta waves is often described as a state of heightened awareness and mental activity.
High Beta Waves:
High beta waves have a frequency of 30-40 Hz and are often associated with intense cognitive or physical activities, such as problem-solving or exercise. An increase in high beta waves in qEEG brain mapping may be associated with conditions such as ADHD or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The sensation of high beta waves is often described as a state of heightened mental alertness and intense focus.
The MBTI and qEEG Brain Mapping
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a widely used personality assessment that categorizes individuals into 16 distinct personality types based on four dichotomies: extraversion vs. introversion, sensing vs. intuition, thinking vs. feeling, and judging vs. perceiving. Quantitative EEG (qEEG) brain mapping is a diagnostic tool used to measure and map brainwave activity across different regions of the brain. Researchers have explored potential connections between these two domains to establish a relationship between them.
Several researchers have proposed that the various brainwave frequencies observed in a qEEG brain map may correspond to the functions identified in the MBTI. However, the precise relationship between qEEG brain waves and MBTI functions remains a subject of research and debate.
One proposed connection suggests that the alpha brainwave frequency, associated with relaxed wakefulness and meditation, is linked to the MBTI function of intuition. Alpha waves reflect a state of relaxed focus that fosters insight and creativity, which may facilitate the intuition function involving generating insights and making connections based on patterns and associations.
Another proposed connection suggests that the beta frequency, associated with focused attention and alertness, may correspond to the MBTI function of sensing. Beta waves reflect a state of focused attention that enables precise and detailed perception, potentially facilitating the sensing function of gathering data through the senses and paying attention to concrete details and facts.
Furthermore, the theta frequency, associated with daydreaming and creative states, is purported to correspond to the MBTI function of feeling. Theta waves reflect a state of relaxed and open awareness, fostering creative and imaginative thinking that may facilitate the feeling function of evaluating and assessing information based on personal values and emotional responses.
Likewise, the delta frequency, associated with deep sleep and unconscious processing, may correspond to the MBTI function of thinking. Delta waves reflect a state of unconscious processing that supports problem-solving and decision-making, potentially facilitating the thinking function of analyzing and evaluating information based on logic and reason.
However, it is important to note that while some correlations between qEEG brain waves and MBTI functions have been proposed, conclusive evidence for these connections is lacking. The brain is a complex and dynamic system, and it is unlikely that a single brainwave frequency can fully account for a specific cognitive or personality function. Additionally, the MBTI relies on self-report assessments, introducing biases and limitations.
Nonetheless, exploring the potential connections between the different brainwaves observed in a qEEG brain map and the functions identified in the MBTI can yield valuable insights into the relationship between brain activity and personality.
Interpretation of QEEG Brain Maps:
QEEG brain maps are generated by analyzing the electrical activity of the brain recorded through specialized caps with multiple electrodes placed on the scalp. These maps typically display different brain speeds, including delta, theta, alpha, beta, and high beta, which correspond to different states based on circadian rhythms. Interpretation of these brain speeds involves analyzing the colors displayed on the map, which indicate whether the brain is using these speeds at higher or lower levels than optimal.
Colors on the QEEG brain map:
The colors on the QEEG brain map play a crucial role in interpreting the brain’s activity. Yellow, orange, and red colors indicate that the brain is using one to three levels too high of a particular speed, while blue colors suggest that the brain is using one to three levels too low of that speed. This color-coded information helps in identifying any imbalances or irregularities in brain activity, providing valuable insights into the functioning of the brain.
Overall power and relative power:
The top row of heads on the QEEG brain map represents the overall power of each brain speed, indicating how charged up the brain is overall. This information helps in understanding the overall activity levels of different brain speeds. Additionally, the relative power displayed on the map shows which brain speed is being used the most and the least in comparison to others. This data provides important clues about the brain’s dominant and less dominant activity levels, aiding in the interpretation of QEEG brain maps.
Parameters at the bottom of the map:
The QEEG brain maps also include parameters at the bottom of the map that provide insights into the communication between different brain areas. These parameters, including amplitude, asymmetry, coherence, and phase lag, represent the networks in the brain and how different areas communicate with each other. For instance, frontal areas responsible for attention and executive function are labeled with “F,” central areas with “C,” temporal areas with “T,” and occipital areas with “O.” The analysis of these parameters and the lines connecting different areas on the map help in understanding the efficiency of communication between brain regions.
Z-Score
The Z-score coherence is a measure of functional connectivity between two regions of the brain. It provides an estimate of the strength of the coherence between the signals recorded from different electrode sites, compared to a database. The coherence is a measure of the degree to which two signals are synchronized or correlated, indicating the degree of functional connectivity between different brain regions. The Z-score is a statistical measure of how far the coherence value is from the average coherence value in the normative database.
The Z-score amplitude is a measure of the power or strength of the electrical activity in a particular frequency band within a specific region of the brain. The amplitude is the measurement of the size or magnitude of a particular EEG wave. The Z-score amplitude is the statistical comparison of the amplitude value of a particular frequency band within a specific region of the brain compared to a normative database.
Both Z-score coherence and amplitude are useful in the assessment of brain function and dysfunction. They can provide valuable information about the patterns of brain activity associated with various neurological and psychiatric conditions, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, and traumatic brain injury. Z-score coherence and amplitude can also be used to guide neurostimulation treatments to target specific brain regions and frequencies for optimal outcomes.
Amplitude Asymmetry
Amplitude asymmetry refers to the difference in the electrical activity between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. It is typically measured as the difference in amplitude between homologous electrode sites located on each hemisphere. An abnormal amplitude asymmetry may suggest a disruption in the normal functioning of the brain, and has been associated with various neurological and psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia.
Phase Lag
Phase lag is a measure of the delay in the propagation of neural signals between different regions of the brain. It is a measure of the temporal relationship between two or more EEG signals recorded from different electrode sites. Phase lag is typically calculated by measuring the time delay between two signals at a given frequency. An abnormal phase lag may suggest a disruption in the normal communication between different brain regions, and has been associated with various neurological and psychiatric conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, and traumatic brain injury.
Implications of QEEG Brain Map Interpretation:
Interpretation of QEEG brain maps can have significant implications for understanding brain function and identifying any abnormalities or imbalances in your brain. By analyzing the brain’s activity levels, dominant and less dominant patterns, and communication between different brain areas, QEEG brain maps can provide valuable insights into the functioning of the human brain. This information can be used in various clinical and research settings, such as identifying neurological disorders, monitoring treatment progress, and optimizing cognitive performance.

2023.06.01 04:27 bishopspentrick What is this sound? In Florida
| (the link is a sound file on Dropbox) I've been hearing it every summer for 3 years now, starting in May and ending in October. I've tried analyzing the sound in my BirdNET app and I still can't get it 🤔 I saw a gray bird fly away from the direction I had been hearing it once last year, so maybe it's gray? BirdNET has told me red eyed vireo, black whiskered vireo, starling, and hooded warbler but I don't think any of those are it. I also heard it last summer when I went to north Georgia. I've been looking through bird sound recordings and the brown thrasher and seaside sparrow sound kind of similar but I still don't think that's it. What could it be? submitted by bishopspentrick to whatsthisbird [link] [comments] |
2023.06.01 04:26 Grammarhead-Shark Marquesas (Just did a rewatch)
A little history with me and Marquesas first. I was living in Utah at the time of this series airing and it was Neleh Fever all the way. It was a level I don’t think Todd, Tyson, or Dawn ever got. So in hindsight my memory gave her a much bigger presence then was actually the case! And it has been over a decade since I sat down to properly re-watch it.
Firstly… WOW, the island/s are beautiful. I understand never going back there due to the no-nos and the local government not being as co-operative as other places (trust the French to love their red tape!) plus the fact it was a last minute substitute for Jordan (and things where not as smooth as they could’ve been), but dang, part of me kinda wish they did just for the sheer visual beauty of it!
Pity they didn’t stay at Maraamu camp due it seemingly having a much better supply of food (and the lion’s share of camp stuff due to the Raid), but Rotu camp did seem to have much better access to that waterfall at least.
Hot dang… Vecepia was such a great player. She did some 4D level shit with her gaming. Such mad respect. A New School style of play in an Old School Era. And the fact The Powers that Be have basically forgotten/ignored her since is bloody ridiculous and very annoying. Especially with so few female winners and she wasn’t even sounded out just does not sit well with me. Future greats like Rob C & Sandra owe a bit to what Vee paved the way for them (in their style of play).
Kathy was the star of the season based on her edit (and well… watching it in real time circa 2002) but I could also tell Kathy just is one of those people that is annoying and frustrating to live with no matter how good an edit she got on the tele.
She really should be rated much higher on winner’s lists then she really is (saying that in a quick search, this SubReddit does seem to respect her pretty well!)
I also dispute people saying she was an Under the Radar winner. The entire tribe new she playing from the middle and making alliances with everybody and they let her get away with it as well. Her game was very much telegraphed to everybody (and brought up several times throughout the course of the series).
And yes was helped in getting Tammy’s bitter vote, but she steamrolled Neleh at FTC and gave those swing votes in General & John (especially John) exactly what they wanted to hear.
I know Vee & Neleh’s edit has been criticized in the past and yes, while it could’ve been better, it none the less was perfectly solid. Vee always at least a few scenes an episode (other than a couple around the merge) and was the voice of explaining how things where falling around camp life for the season. The only truly purple edit that season was Zoe – an enigma wrapped in a riddle if there ever was a person.
If there is one player I wish they brought back and never did was Gina – talk about the ultimate swap screw! Completely charming and genuine and for a pre-merge boot, so much screen time (though it did help Maraamu was always going to tribal)!
I gotta say before I forget, re-watching some of those reward and immunity challenges was a head-trip! Especially now deep into the era of them being Flanderized into the same bit-of-physical, a bit-of-coordination and finish on a puzzle.
TWO immunity challenges had a player's fate was not in their own hands but in other contestants (thus the General had no chance of ever winning). Heck even the vote where Gina left there was talk of Rotu throwing it to get out Boston rob, but it turned out to be pretty difficult to achieve with what it was.
I do wish we got some outside-the-box challenges again these days (though that is an entire different post! LOL)
One thing I couldn’t stand in the season though was Rosie hosting the Finale. Now I actually was watching The Rosie O’Donnell Show when the season was airing (and her interviewing each tribe member on eviction) and in 2002 it did feel like a natural progression for her to host the Finale. But watching it 21 years later, it feels so jarring (and Jeff just walking away after the votes being read was weird). She barely let anybody get a word in I swear (did we even here from Patricia? And the only thing Rob said I swear was a comment about being thankful for Sarah’s boobs!)
Did we every find out why Maraamu voted out Peter first? Gina mentioned something in the voting confessionals, but nothing was brought up later.
I’ll end this by saying Neleh’s sneaky move by telling Kathy her boobs where falling out of her blouse will always been one of my favourite dirty moves of all time! She may of not owned up to it, but she did have game when she wanted to!

2023.06.01 04:26 TheLordsBreed PSA: Divine Knight and Red Mushroom. Revive Issues SOLVED.
Hello all. Like a lot of you I am working on my Voidwalker and Red Mushrooms were giving me a problem. The Divine Knight's revive was not working. It was explained to me by a guild/clan member that Baba Yaga being on the map counts as a monster you need to kill. So the revive won't work until it spawns and you kill it.
I did this and can confirm that is the issue. If you want to kill the Red Mushrooms with a reviver, go in there a few minutes before the hour and kill the mini boss when it spawns. Your revives will start working then.

2023.06.01 04:26 throwaway0978462 Abused by politicians child
Hello hope you are all having a good day.
When i was a teenager, i met someone on the internet who lived in a city near mine. We clicked really well and always would like say the same thing at the same time, they were my first love. After a while of dating/doing the deed, all my friends and family began to point out red flags that i had ignored. they claimed to be my age, yet wasnt enrolled in school, lived alone in multiple properies, had tattoos, would catch ubers upwards of $300+ each way to see me. Sent me videos from an american nightclub with alcohol and would get private flights alone. Everyone who met them also agreed they looked over 20, whereas i had only just hit the age of consent. They would also get out of mental hospitals within a week for things that would typically be a long stay.
They would always tell me their father was a politician but wouldnt tell me which one (they had different last names) because they had sent me videos of their father buying drugs with them or doing other crimes. Eventually all the red flags and feeling like they wanted to be a part of my life but not include me in theirs resulted in the relationship breaking down. Things like them never letting me come to their houses and only ever wanting to come to mine. After a while of no contact, the in love feeling wore off an i realised from the very start i was being emotionally manipulated and treated as a plaything. stuff im too embarrased to tell anyone like believing it was alright for them to cheat because they needed attention and i couldnt give them that when my phone got taken away in class for texting them all day.
I ended up getting anonymous calls threatening me, or screenshots of accounts impersonating me sending that person death threats and a bunch of other stuff. Its pretty unfortunate but that one person left me with such a burden i havent really tried dating anyone again out of fear of being manipulated again. its irrational but damn, its been years and i still think about it all the time.

2023.06.01 04:26 GetTherapyBham We have a QEEG brain mapping clinic opening at my office.

2023.06.01 04:26 kamivalse I left my boyfriend because I was disrespected. I love him still, but I didn't want to abandon myself again. A dumper's perspective.
I'm the dumper for this one. I recently left him two weeks ago now. Our relationship has gone through very very difficult situations. Most of them I honestly cannot even comprehend why I stayed for it, because the red flags and sirens were blaring and I ignored all of it.
I see a lot of dumpees here, but I just wanted to write something out as a dumper. I have been both throughout my time, but I believe being the dumper for this one was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
Context:
The biggest and recent main issue - On March this year, my partner of 1.5 years met a girl who was a customer at his work and they exchanged socials. I didn't know of this girl until she sent a message request to me on Instagram asking if I was this person's girlfriend. I said yes that I am in a relationship with this guy. She then proceeded to tell me that they have been messaging for about 2 weeks, video calling once or twice, calling her affectionate nicknames like "luv" and he has been asking her if she was a virgin, how many people she slept with, told her that they should go clubbing sometime, talking to her about his past relationships and how he cheated on them, and that he never mentioned that he was in a relationship with me (which is why she messaged and asked). She said that he (my ex) was talking about uncomfortable topics about horny moods and stuff like that as well and even sent me screenshots of their conversation. She essentially ratted him out to me.I confronted him about this, enraged. He said that it's not a big deal, that he never cheated and that he still came back home to me and still loves me, etc. He said that it wasnt anything and that he only asked to go out clubbing with her out of politeness. He also wanted to make friends as he didnt have many. He argues that he talks and asks these same questions to everyone he knows / friends with / people hes getting to know, and that mentioning he has a girlfriend is "private information" because he is a "private guy". He said he was angry that the girl had to message me that especially when it happened to be on my birthday that she messaged me this. He said he was sorry and thought it wasn't an issue.
I told him I am very hurt, why would he do this to me and my trust is broken. I believe this is overstepping boundaries and that I am being disrespected right now. Because even if you don't have many friends, why the hell would you want to talk about inappropriate things with a girl who is seemingly interested in you? Why the hell would he think mentioning you have a girlfriend is PRIVATE information but then you tell the girl your entire relationship past and that you've cheated on them? That is what my body is telling me despite all of his reasons. After I've settled I had to write this out to check if I was over the top and overthinking because of what happened. He still says it wasnt that big of a deal because he doesnt like to share this kind of information with other people. Says that he loves me, etc. I was terrified and caved in to what he had said. I thought, "maybe this isn't a big deal, maybe I'll trust him again", when my entire being was saying no and that the damage to my trust has been done. I ignored it and kept going on with the relationship thinking I'd be ok enough to get past it.
Underlying Issues prior - There were already many underlying issues with our relationship. A laundry list of it that I tried fixing with him but it just never ended up happening. I expressed my needs, and they still weren't met, I was anxious all the time with him, everytime I wanted to sit down and fix the issues he would just decide and leave and always take a 2-5 day break in pure silence without even checking in with me at all. I would have emotional outburts and he'd see it as "too much", his uncertainty of the future with me, all of it. He has even broken up with me in public and I freaked out so much I begged for him. It was all clouded with the hyper affection, love bombing, and buttery words that I fell and temporarily forgot about it. The cycle kept going and going till my mind and body couldn't handle it anymore. I eventually fully decided to leave him despite the fact we still very much loved each other. I just knew he was too immature to properly take care of me, and I was too emotional.
Fast forward to two weeks ago, another girl has messaged me while he was away on vacation that he had been dancing very closely to this girl's friend, hands on waist and all, not also knowing he had a girlfriend and once again, told me it's not a big deal when I brought it up upset. I couldn't keep it all in anymore. We were already in the middle of an argument and he took a three day break from me because I was upset about something unrelated, which was feeling down that I couldn't spend time with my own mum for Mother's Day as she lived across the country from me. During that time when he wasn't talking to me, I decided to break up. I wrote it out and made it as firm and clear as possible. I came by his house, he ignored my call to come meet me at the front. His mum answered the door and let me in, and I told him to sit next to me as I read it aloud. It was a very long discussion with him, and the most emotional. We were both extremely upset and sad, but I knew this was the right decision.
The breakup was calm, firm and ended in good terms despite how upsetting everything was. This was a huge lesson and a roller coaster for me. I have thoughts still thinking that I want to run back to him, the urge to see him, message him, but at the end of the day I'm glad I made the decision to leave. At that point I realised I abandoned myself for too long, and that I've tried everything to make it work. I'm at that stage still where I hope someday he comes back, wondering if he still loves me, if he wants me, if he would change. But I'm also trying to get to that mindset where if it doesn't happen, I should be ok, and that I will improve, be better and pick myself back up again. Still definitely in the healing process, but I'm trying.

2023.06.01 04:26 Slurich A question about using my email after transferring my site domain away from Wix
I bought a site domain from Wix half a year ago, and when I was done, made use of the option to purchase a business email domain. My memory of how it went down is hazy, but I remember being taken to Google and purchasing a .com domain and everything; it was similar to how I bought additional domains directly through Google itself later on. That first email domain is a proper Google Workspace account, so I didn't think it'd be tied to Wix. However, recently I decided to transfer my site domain to a different host and when I choose that option I see a list of admonitions, one of which is " Any connected email accounts will stop working". I'm not sure if the Google Workspace account that I have that I purchased through Wix will be disabled after I transfer or not. I contacted support, but as usual got people who didn't seem to actually be paying attention and who would answer questions I never asked. It was like talking to an A.I. chatbot that looks for keywords and then spits out what it thinks you're looking for.
So, since most of you probably aren't robots, I wanted to ask if anyone here knows if transferring my domain away from Wix will actually disable my email or not. I can not afford any downtime let alone a week of it, so I need to make sure before I do anything.

2023.06.01 04:26 NEK0SAM Do I (26m) have to lie about myself to find someone to date?
It’s been a few years since I asked anyone on a date and was chatting to someone on tinder. Our conversation was going pretty well (sending paragraphs to one another), but eventually it got around to talking about weaknesses of ourselves, or things we’d like to improve. They rejected me after I suggested meeting to talk about stuff easier, which is fine. Win some lose some, doesn’t help the confidence much but that’s alright.
Mine in question is that I don’t like doing things alone very much. Not that I’m not independent, I’d just a rather do things with people rather than alone. It helps make memories, stories and decent connections. I do have a slight issue with anxiety but very very small about doing things alone due to only moving out form my over-bearing parents recently, I moved BECAUSE they wouldn’t let me do things for myself, so now I can.
I’m very open about this fact as well, and don’t like lying just to make myself look better. I’m honest to a fault about any of my issues.
I was also honest about my employment, as I left work for education after realising what I want to do with my life. However I’m struggling to find a part time job but applying to stuff daily, just where I am located most are already taken by other students.
I have a car, I’ve moved out into private renting (moving in with some friends in July) and have a good amount of savings+stability due to working for almost 10 years before education.
I feel like I have to not only lie about my insecurities (which I don’t let bother me much) but also lie about the fact I don’t currently have a job, OR the fact I’m a mature student.
Do I really have to lie about this stuff?
Are they that big of red flags? If someone was honest about themselves and didn’t hide it I’d see that as more positive honestly.

2023.06.01 04:25 Director_Foreign Ok so I’m a Kanye fan and recently due to the eras tour I’ve been butting heads with my friend who’s a huge Taylor swift fan . So I am gonna let you guys fight it out …. I mean discuss *wink* .
My points are obviously he made “my beautiful dark twisted fantasy” and “graduation” which are one of the most critically acclaimed albums out there , songs like “I wonder” , “Ghost town” , “Jesus walks “ and “runaway” have literally changed peoples life . He has 21 Grammys Taylor has 9 ( I know Kanye started his career earlier than Taylor but , his debut album came out in 2004 and taylor’s came out in 2006 so 🤷) . His songs actually have meaning and most of taylor’s songs are targeted towards young women and are love songs . Her arguments are that Taylor is the most talented artis out there as she can write, sing , dance and do everything . She has lot more songs thanks just love songs , like never grow up , best day , archer , long live , innocent and she named many more which I don’t remember . She creates this like storyline through her songs which entertains her fans even more . Recently she had the most number of fans ever recorded in a concert . We both make many more points but I’m not gonna bore you with everything . SO I SUMMON ALL THE YE FANS AND SWIFTIES TO TEAR THE COMMENT SECTION APART . PS -this debate is PURELY based on who has better music ,and arguments about kanye’s controversies and how nice Taylor swift is won’t work . This is a purely based on who is a better artist . PS- all the people commenting “doesn’t matter” and “who cares” . Come on , be fun , have an actual opinion or don’t comment .
