i have good grades in my A Levels, with predicted grades of B, B and a distinction in English Language, Computer Science and Food Science. My GCSEs as well i got straights Bs and B+’s
im just wondering how much of a bearing my A Level studies would have over my application to a uni like Luleå IT, and if it is at all feesible. i dont know if its relevant but i am transgender as well, and will be starting hormone therapy next year
importantly i speak enough Swedish to get by, as i am in large part swedish, i just only have british citizenship. im still learning it as well as a third languge
like basically, is it a realistic goal? is studying in sweden as a straight B student attainable for a trans girl in remote mid western england?

I'm looking for a spare wheelchair for a large 65-pound dog that I could rent or borrow. I can't find any wheelchairs at the local stores and I'd like one as soon as possible. My dog has bone cancer(osteosarcoma) and has lost function of his right hind leg. Even tho he can't walk anymore I still take him to the park so he can lie down on the grass and get some fresh air. Whenever other dogs walk near us he starts whining and I can tell he really wants to walk again. His condition is getting worse by the day so I'd really appreciate if anyone could help me.

I have been stepparent to my stepson once he was 4. He is now turning 16. He has had some concerning behavior over the years so this situation isn’t surprising, but certainly still hurts.
We are about a month away from hi 16th birthday, and I am the parent that always plans the parties. I asked him if he would like to have a party at our local (very awesome) local pool. He said yes. I asked him about details like colors for decorations, cake flavor , etc. He told me what he would like and so I arranged it and made him invitations to give to his friends. All seemed normal.
The next day or two, I asked if he had received any RSVPs from his friends. He said none of his friends could come. I was concerned and offered to change the date and time so his friends could make the party. He then said that he didn’t actually invite any of his friends. He isn’t very social and has never been invited to a sleepover or had friends to our house, so now I’m concerned that there is a bigger issue with friendships. My husband speaks to him and asks him about the situation and he just shuts down and won’t talk to us. So, we look at his phone to find out if something worse is going on. He’s been in trouble with his phone on a very regular basis so he is aware that we check it.
Turns out, he did invite his friends. They rsvp’d as yes. So he lied about that, which is baffling. Then he is telling his sister that he hates me and bio son (not sure why he was lumped in). He says that he never wanted a party in the first place and that he only agreed to it to “shut me up.” He called me fat and said that my husband needs to control me better and not let me plan things for the family. He also said that he doesn’t want myself and my bio son to go on family vacation ever again because we annoy him.
I have been in this kid’s life for 12 years and stood in there for him the whole time. I’m very hurt and flummoxed. I know that this is only my perspective, but that’s the only one I can speak from. I, 26F, am not a licensed bookkeeper or accountant, and really just learning as I go. my older brother (24) always threatens to hit me. it can be for the smallest things too. most of the time he does actually punch me in the face really hard. about an hour ago, he got super angry at me because I “let” our sister leave the house in a car that she’s not supposed to take. I appealed the judgment ordering possession in a supersedes motion in the local court house. I represented myself pro se with the help of staff at the court house. I reached a point where they were unable to help me any longer as they never had anyone to this far in the process. Meanwhile, I'm still not back at work full time, but am paying the prothonatarys office the monthly rental amount of $1600, which is literally all I had. Fast forward until today...I contacted the ERAP reps who informed me that my landlord was compensated 17k for those 3 months I was behind as well as for the months of March-August? So, I've been paying her and she's already received payment, meanwhile I'm worried sick that I'll be evicted and have nothing to eat?? I have THREE KIDS! I work hard! Now, here's the thing... If i do not pay the prothonatarys office the monthly rental amount of $1600, my appeal will be dismissed without a judge seeing my case. BUT, all of my money is going to pay the prothonatarys office which means I have zero money to save to move. And, believe me, I'm on a month to month lease so she's going to have me out one way or the other. I have never had any past landlord issues. I recently sold my jetskis so I can get something better for my family. I told myself I’d wait until the end of the season so I can get myself a good deal but I’ve had my eye out for a good deal. I have always admired the pilot house boats as I live in New York and it’ll extend the season for me. I drive a ridgeline and live less than 10 mins from a ramp on side streets but I don’t want anything much over 5000 pounds so that rules out a lot of things for me. I dusted off my guitars after being dormant a while, and am looking to get some new gear. I have a Marshall VS102R amp, and I was looking into buying either some effects pedals or a new BOSS Katana MkII amp, but then I discovered this new whole world of modeling and profiling, which is wild.
I love the idea of the consistency and variety of options for tone. I also love the prospect of being able to plug straight into a house PA system.
I've been researching from YouTube and reddit and such for the past two days or so, and I'd prefer to keep the budget under $500 ideally, so I decided to rule-out the HX Stomp and some other 600+ options.
It looks like the best options in this lower consumer mid-range are the Line6 Pod Go, or the newer HeadRush MX5 or Valeton GP-200 options.
They honestly all seem good and comparable, with pro's and con's of each, etc. So one thing I'm wondering is about community support and developer support. Now that these have been out for a bit, are there any that are starting to "rise to the top" so to speak? Are there some that will have more widespread options for being able to look online for a particular custom tone, or downloads for certain profiles, etc.? Are there any to avoid, even?
I haven't played my guitar consistently for like two decades, so I'm out of the loop on manufacturers, community support and popularity, etc. I'd love commentary, suggestions, conversation on pro's and con's, etc.! One YouTube commenter said that the HeadRush has some bugs and developer support is lagging, etc. But that makes me bummed, because it seems like a cool option based on the reviews, enthusiasm, touch-screen interface, etc. And I saw a different comment that said the Valeton wasn't properly spitting out stereo on certain effects or something, etc.

Alright will let me start off by saying this is my first time using reddit, so be gentle.
Bit of a back story:
My union has been on strike for some time now and it doesn't look like it going to end any time soon. Im the bread winner in this multi-generational family (Mother, my Niece and, myself) I work in a gig based field which there is 0 going on so I need to supplement my income.
I bought a few Ender3 v2 3D printers last year and decided its time to learn how to use them and try to make some money.
I spent the last 2 months coming up with a concept(s) to sell things work related. I have a set(s) of items that are all compatible with each other. There are 3 sets in total and they are not compatible with each other, I intend to slowly post new items of the set spread out. then change sets and repeat. I posted a few Pices to the first set online and instantly had 8 orders and a ton of request for other things. the problem is these printers are extremely slow and not very reliable.
After some thought I opened a LLC. for a few reasons,

1. If I'm going to do this full time for a few months I want to do it right and by the book.
2. To learn how an actual small business is ran.
3. Write offs
4. Establish now so I can use it in 2 years time to help buy a house for us.

You know when you just want to shout to the world how this person is, make them know what they do and so on? Well, me during my teen years wanted so bad to tell our mutual friend how she really was. We were friends for around 3 years i think, if not more, this friend would only come a few times to be with us so she didnt know what she really was, actually they knew each other since childhood but i was the one now spending more time with her since we were bff at the time. I just wanted to tell this friend so bad that i knew the next time she was coming to meet us, it had to be the time.
We were hanging out the three of us plus the persons bf, both of them went to the playground while me and the absent friend stayed in the bench at the park, i was wanting to tell her so damn bad but my tongue wouldnt allow it, i just couldnt bring myself to tell her, specially knowing that this person was just a few meters away, i felt like shit.
Well, years have passed, me and the absent friend continued to be friends while the other just ran its course. Tho the friend kept bringing her up everytime, and everytime it triggered the shit out of me because i didnt even rememebered her anymore. So the convo i wanted to have in our teens, i decided to have it by text now that im an adult and i dont have anything to lose. I thought that being open and telling her how fucked up i was because of her she would stop. Well, it actually had the opposite of it.
Next day she came to my house to have lunch, and while we were eating she was all curious making me questions about everything and her, i started to shiver getting into panic attack mode, i just wanted her to stop but she wouldnt, she just kept asking questions and i know she wasnt doing it by being malicious, she was just being honest and curious but fuck, it just made me realize that i should have kept my mouth shut.
And no, she didnt stopped talking about her on our next hangouts so i had to stop hanging out with her, this wasnt the only reason but it was one of the reasons.

In 2021 i bought an old house that the back of it connects to an alley where a lot of people park their cars. I removed a section of my fence that blocked my yard from the alley to make room for things like a dumpster and equipment while i was doing work on the house, also the fence was already half collapsed. I removed the posts of the fence by just taking a sawzall to it so there are still a couple jagged nubs of them along the fence line. Fast forward to this year, fence is still down, nubs are still there, and since theres no fence people have taken that as a sign that its okay to park in my yard for some reason. I consistently ask people to not park and have put up a sign thats private property no parking. Well i guess a neighbor fucked his wheel up on one of my fence nubs and his trying to make me pay for it. Am i liable for someone damaging their vehicle on my property when they shouldnt be there to begin with?

As the title says, I've been offered a job at a smaller residential contracting company. Basically, they do full house renovations and have ~10 employees doing anywhere from $2-3m per year. They are growing quickly and have offered me a WAY better salary than my current job with 100% optional remote work.
I'm wondering if it's likely that I will be able to finish my PERT with a company like this. My technical is complete but I still need level 2 enabling competencies. There are no CPA's or accountants at the company but I know other CPA's who I could use as mentors.
Are there certain types of companies that could get denied eligibility bye CPA? I'm seeing so many horror stories about people trying to get approval in non-public corporations...
I've passed the CFE and have been with a large corp in industry for the last 3 years but am so unhappy with the work-life balance. The job I've been offered is with a few people I've known for years and seems like something I'd be so motivated to help grow and actually be happy for once at work... But I've come this far with PERT I want to make sure I don't jeopardize getting my designation.

I have an FWB who has been my only sexual partner in the past year. We don't have an agreement to be monogamous but he has always said he was not seeing anyone else. Monday last week I noticed my pubic mound was itching, but when I looked I didn't see any rash, bumps, nits, or bugs so I thought maybe I had mild contact dermatitis from somehow getting a chemical exfoliant I use on my face in my pubes (like maybe I didn't wash my hands and then scratched or something). The itching was only on the pubic mound, not on my labia or vulva. It continued on and off through the week, no change in appearance. Then this Monday I looked and there were obviously both nits and lice in my pubes.
My FWB was over so I sat him down and asked him if he had been with anyone else recently. He denied it so I told him I had definitely not been with anyone else but also definitely had crabs and asked again if he had been with anyone. He insisted he hadn't had sex with anyone, or been over their house or slept in anyone's bed or had them in his. He checked himself and he also had crabs (somehow he didn't notice anything before he checked). I also have not shared towels/clothes or had any other close nonsexual contact with anyone. He does spend a couple hours at the gym every day and uses the gym's towels after showering there. He knows the gym's owner and called him on speaker in front of me to let him know what happened, and the owner immediately launched into a story about how he once got crabs from a stationary bicycle seat. My FWB is now using that as proof that he must have picked up the crabs from the gym.
We both went out and got OTC lice treatment and used it this Monday (and I washed all my clothes/linens in hot water and used a spray on my mattress and couch), but I went to an urgent care for STD testing today because I'm not sure I believe you can get crabs from the gym when everywhere on the internet says you can't get it from toilet seats/bus seats/etc. I told the Dr the whole story and she also said it seemed like a very long shot. Luckily she also said I had no signs of still having crabs or any other STDs, although I have to wait a week for the test results. Has anyone here had experience with getting crabs from a nonsexual, public source?

For one, firewalls aren't as effective when I've left a backdoor in the system for free access. Seriously, it's not that difficult to get into something once you've already been inside before. Not to mention... you seriously thought documenting stuff in some basic code would do the trick? That I wouldn't be able to convert it to plain text? At least do something a little sophisticated next time; might I recommend studying some old telegrams from wartime and seeing how they did things? Seriously, your tech department should be paying me for tutelage, your cryptography is weak. The only thing I can give you credit for, is that I haven’t found any information on the unnamed agency referenced in your files. I assume their documents are cataloged in their own, entirely separate database, which isn’t surprising. Still, the only reason another agency would be involved with you at all, would be to order you around behind the scenes like the bunch of lackeys you are.

I'm not entirely sure how the word "peaceful" could be applied to the remains of a woman who had her unborn child violently ripped out. Nor am I sure how there could be any ambiguity as to whether she was murdered or not. Now you go ahead and wonder why it is that they're using such passive and evasive language. They aren't even trying to hide it, are they? Surely you all caught it as well. Suddenly, the husbands who have gone without comment for so long, all come together to give a statement. A statement with the takeaway message of trusting the police department.
Want to know an interesting little tidbit of information? The author of all those newspaper clippings is the same person. Guess who it was. Does the name "Phil Pratt" ring a bell? Morefolk's beloved journalist, who happens to be married to Jamie Pratt. As is common knowledge, Jamie Pratt's maiden name is Jamie Mackey... these articles were written by the Sheriff's son-in-law.
I couldn't make this shit up.
Still, I know what you're thinking. It doesn't matter who wrote those articles and what biases they have! That doesn't mean the contents of the texts themselves aren't perfectly rational. Of course the husbands took a while to comment, they've been through so much trauma! Obviously, they all came forward together because they've got something in common to commiserate over, they're serving as each other's support systems, right?
Sure, it all sounds plausible at first, but the more you think about it, the more what I'm saying adds up. Remember, the husbands weren't allowed to stay at their homes, because their houses had become a crime scene. Plenty of neighbors and family members offered them places to stay, but you know where they ended up? That's right, they ended up staying in the police station. Yeah, I know the reason given was that the police wanted to ensure the husbands were receiving attention to their mental health, but then why not have them stay at the hospital? Then there's the explanation that the police wanted them close by so they could aid the investigation. Still, is that something that would require them to eat, sleep, and drink at the station for almost all hours of the day? That doesn't add up, does it?
I'll tell you the real reason that accounts for these abnormalities. The police were keeping the husbands there to monitor them. To ensure they weren't freely spreading their stories. To prevent them from commenting on the situation until they could be fed a comment generated by the pigs themselves.
You should also consider the fact that, despite these husbands having been in close proximity to their wives at the time of the killings, they were never once considered suspects in the case. What could possibly account for that, other than the fact that the cops knew that someone else, or something else, was responsible from the very beginning?
Some of you won't ever believe me, and I acknowledge that. That doesn't take away from the fact that this whole debacle has been handled so unconventionally. We've been told that the police would keep us updated on their investigations, but what have they really given us? We've received no identifiable suspect, no autopsy reports of the deceased victims, and the newspaper is more focused on selling this bullshit "Unify and support the police!" narrative than focusing on the particulars of the deaths themselves.
Go ahead and tell me we're being kept in the dark for the sake of investigative confidentiality. Tell me I'm seeking to divide us and push some communist anti-police agenda in the midst of a community tragedy. Claim that I'm making mountains out of molehills. Here's all I have to say. Either you're with me, the people, and the truth, or you're going to be a mindless sheep, licking the boots of those keeping the real facts at bay. The time is coming to make a damn choice.
Don't worry, I've got so much more to share. I'm not done exposing the hidden truths I found in the police files I cracked. I am simply waiting for the most opportune time to release more of what I have. Be patient my friends, it will be worth it. Trust me, after you see what's coming next, you will be as angry as I am. This monster terrorizing our town isn't going to stop at pregnant women and their unborn children.

Hi! Going out on a limb here, but what have I got to lose?? I've been renting my home for 4 years and have never paid my rent late. In the fall, I had a series of strokes and was out of work for a long time while in the hospital and rehab recovering. Could not pay Dec, Jan, Feb rent. Landlord recommended me applying for a program called ERAP, which I did at her request. I am assuming that she thought that the application process would be short and she'd be reimbursed in a relatively timely manner. That didn't happen. By Feb, she opted to take me to magistrate. I appealed the judgment ordering possession in a supersedes motion in the local court house. I represented myself pro se with the help of staff at the court house. I reached a point where they were unable to help me any longer as they never had anyone to this far in the process. Meanwhile, I'm still not back at work full time, but am paying the prothonatarys office the monthly rental amount of $1600, which is literally all I had. Fast forward until today...I contacted the ERAP reps who informed me that my landlord was compensated 17k for those 3 months I was behind as well as for the months of March-August? So, I've been paying her and she's already received payment, meanwhile I'm worried sick that I'll be evicted and have nothing to eat?? I have THREE KIDS! I work hard! Now, here's the thing... If i do not pay the prothonatarys office the monthly rental amount of $1600, my appeal will be dismissed without a judge seeing my case. BUT, all of my money is going to pay the prothonatarys office which means I have zero money to save to move. And, believe me, I'm on a month to month lease so she's going to have me out one way or the other. I have never had any past landlord issues. I do not want prospective landlords to think I'm a renter that doesn't take the responsibility of paying on time seriously. Does anyone have any advice? I've tried the Pa Bar. I've tried Mid Penn legal. All the attorneys that I call will either 1. Only represent the landlords in these cases or 2. Want $500 just to speak to me.
