Ne beneficia il sonno che tende ad essere più pesante ma, di contro, di giorno ci si sente un po’ distaccati dalla realtà e dall’abbiocco facile. La Fexofenadina molto meno abbioccante ma decisamente meno efficace della Levocetirizina che mi fa sparire qualsiasi pizzicore ma mi stende. Quest’anno, per via delle piogge l’allergia è iniziata in sordina a marzo con una leggera asma ma ora ho iniziato con starnuti e quant’altro. La Levocetirizina per me è l’unica efficace al 100%. Voi che pigliate? Il principio attivo mi interessa, così evitiamo di fare pubblicità alle farmaceutiche che non ne hanno bisogno…

Skeeter had made an error. Not a big one, but one that did have significant downstream effects. He'd assumed that he could visit enough of each planet to give a sort of general feel to each one's character in three or four days, but it was looking more and more like he'd have to extend the stay at Corvian Home for at least a weak. He could scarecely remember being so excited by making a mistake. In most respects, Corvian Home was wildly different from Terra. From its many small islands to its ever turbulent storms, to its mediworld gravity, it was unlike any place found on Terra. It still baffled him that the xenos thought Terran gravity was heavy. The way in which it was similar had to do with the wide verity of culture, which made getting a general sense of the place a tad more difficult than planets with a more unified culture.
So, he had to ask Captain Vexkeed to extend the stay, which wasn't cheap. Additionally, it required the refund of any unsatisfied passengers who were on more time-sensitive journeys. However, it turned out that the majority of the passengers had apparently viewed the voyage as a "Sneaky Cruise," which made Skeeter laugh until he couldn't breathe when Captain Vexkeed told him. Likewise, when he told Suzie and Ivan, they found themselves completely overcome by mirth. Kip on the other hand couldn't see the humor in it. This, of course sent all three adults into the throes of hysterical laughter, which only further perplexed the boy.
The inscrutable, to Kip, Terran sense of humor aside, it turned out that apart from paying a fee to extend the journey and maybe five or six refunds, there was very little adjustment in terms of the We Bring Friends from Afar to Joyous Meeting making drastic changes to her manifest. Which was amenable to Skeeter's bank account, and his conscience. In any case, it let him fill out the itinerary with a wide variety of events from the local sporting events, to seeing interesting geological formations or particularly treasured vistas, to attending musical theater, to restaurant hopping in one of the larger cities with a conveniently cosmopolitan makeup. Even better, all of the things toxic to Humans, Doggos, and Lutrae were also toxic to the Corvians, so the risk of accidental poisoning was almost nonexistent.
"We actually discussed this in class last week," Kip was saying as the shuttle shook in the storm winds, "once a group went to a new island, the storms cut them off from the original group, except for the very few traders brave enough to fly in… well, this."
"That so?" Skeeter prompted genially.
"Yeah, for the most part I guess people would just float along with whatever everyone else thought, but I guess that's true for most places. Except, since they were separate and all, they didn't all go along the same currents, and so even islands that are pretty close can be crazy different."
"That, and it is ruining the landing shots," Ivan grumbled as he kept the camera trained on the trio.
"Well, back home rain's a good thing!" Suzie exclaimed exuberantly.
"Rain makes rye," Skeeter rejoined.
"Rye makes whiskey," Suzie laughed.
"You mean industrial disinfectant or emergency stomach purging doses," Kip said flatly.
"How'd you find out about that?" Skeeter asked.
"Greg George mentioned it in his book. He dumped so many doses in a glass that any sane person would think he was trying to poison someone with the fumes."
"Oh, I loved My Side," Suzie said, "It had always bugged me that the Lost Boys never got a fair say."
"Wait, isn't he a hero? He talks like you guys almost worshiped him…"
"It's complicated," Skeeter said, "I served on a ship with one of the Lost Boys once, Stephen the Line. It was hard to not be in awe of him. Hard to remember that behind the deeds was a man just trying to serve like me."
"Oh…"
"Were you discussing more about Corvian Home in the classes?" Ivan asked before the silence could turn cold.
"Oh, sure, lots. Like on this one island there's a big festival where they celebrate the harvest of these huge nuts, and then there's this island where they have 'Imitation plays,' where Corvians try to mimic exactly how the plays sound from other races. Tutor Brixvee showed us a video of one they coppied from the Star Sailors, and it was pretty cool."
"Do you figure she had lessons on Corvian Home since she knew we were headed here?"
"Of course," Kip said with a bitter scowl, "she's full of dirty tricks like that." His hosts couldn't contain their mirth, not that they tried all that hard.
Later that day, the intrepid travelers were in the throes of a local festival. They had surmised that it was probably related to local folklore, as various icons and masks were featured heavily, but the press was so active and exuberant, that not even the Terran implants could keep up, slaved as they were to the Terran compads with better translation matrixes than even the local networks. Therefore, three out of the four friends found themselves swept up in a feathered fury of dance and rough song, to their ears anyway, while the only clue to Ivan's immense pleasure at the experience was his swiftly wagging tail. Which the locals had no idea was the unconcealable tell that his exterior coolness was in fact, a complete sham.
The festivities seemed to show no sign of abating as night fell over the city sheltered in a rough and rocky crown from the storms of the sea, so in order to get a good night's sleep they were obliged to catch a local shuttle ride between islands to find a slightly less festive town to bed down in, and Suzie took the opportunity.
"So I hear Y'all's planet name isn't what anybody calls it," she said impishly to the shuttle pilot.
"INDEED, ahem, indeed. We know that you mammal-peoples, and the reptile-peoples, and the water-peoples, cannot do it."
"Come on, give us an example," Suzie said in that challenging, teasing way that made Skeeter both cringe and love her.
The pilot laughed, or at least Skeeter thought he, or maybe she? At least Skeeter thought that the pilot laughed, whichever sex they were. He had a hard time with regular Terran corvids, let alone these giant bird people that reminded him of the former. Then said piolet of undetermined sex made a weird clicking noise in the depths of the throat and said, "That is the name."
"I can see why y'all think folk can't do that. Hey Skeeter, why don't ya give it a shot?"
"No," he said flatly.
"Aw come on, it's their planet's name, you should at least try," she said with that wry smile she had that made promises. Promises that he had a very difficult time resisting for… reasons.
He then made a right proper fool of himself trying to replicate the sound by clicking his tongue in various ways before giving up and just saying, "I'm stickin' with Corvian Home."
After making a right proper fool of himself, the other passengers obliged to laugh at him, and Suzie turned on Kip saying, "Your turn."
Kip shot her a sullen look.
"Aw, c'mon, you gonna let these folk just laugh at Skeeter all by his lonesome?" she chided.
Kip downright pouted at her.
"Coooome oooooon," she taunted.
Realizing that she wouldn't quit unless he gave in, Kip also made a mockery of himself trying to replicate the throat clicking sound to the delight of all and sundry. "Shut up," he mumbled as he laid his ears back.
"Ivan?" she asked of her final victim.
He clicked his tongue once, and when Suzie gave him a pout he said, "That is as much as I am trying."
"Now you try," Kip shot at her.
"I know my limits, unlike you boys," she laughed to Kip's indignant sputtering.
Meanwhile, Jerry was having a less festive time. Instead of happening to land on an island that happened to be hosting a festival for one reason or another, he had purposely chosen the center of finance for his outing. He'd had a relatively uneventful series of meetings with financiers, entrepreneurs, and shipping guild heads, and various other parties interested in securing access to new markets for their various trades. It was all very productive, and very boring, and not for the first time he felt a stab of regret for the last time that he had interacted with Skeeter.
Even still, it was a satisfying day. There was a lot of troubling mentions of debts though. Jerry was no stranger to the lending industries of various planets of the CIP, and even had some Republican contacts in that realm, those who could stand his needling of the Republic's systems, but nobody he knew ever said anything about "debt masters" or "clan debt." Troubling indeed, but he chalked it up to clunky translation. Even CIP systems could have trouble with new languages, and he just knew that Republican datapads were inferior. They had to be, of course.
Still though, there was something about the references that bothered him. Something furtive behind the eyes of the avian people who spoke of either concept. Then, there was the fact that only those who were obviously startup businesspeople would speak about them, never the financers. Very troubling indeed. He resolved himself to investigate the matter if he could make the time the next day.
The following morning, the intrepid travelers went on the only "heavyworlder safe" zipline tours available on the planet, which just so happened to be in the heavily forested canyons and followed paths through the foliage designed to simulate danger. Skeeter and Kip found it thrilling, but Suzie found it merely pleasant while Ivan was actually bored by the thrilling experience. The man was pleased with getting a shot of kip chanting breathlessly, "Let's go again, let's go again, let's go again, let's go again!" Wile Suzie was more pleased to have sneakily captured a shot of Ivan's unamused expression as he sped along on the pullies.
"Sure, why not?" Suzie had said to Kip.
To which Ivan said, "Because is boring."
"What?!" Kip nearly shouted.
"You take ride in boarding torpedo, and you will be understanding then."
"The real answer to why not is I already booked a nature walk. There's this island where there's like this bowl formation full of flowers. It looks amazin'" Skeeter explained to Kip's dismay.
Meanwhile, Jerry was exhausted. He'd reshuffled the meetings so that he had mere moments between them to prepare, but he was good at his job, so long as his counterpart wasn't a Republican, and could get the proper contact details to the correct people for whatever the other party hoped to accomplish, so long as it was legal, and it all was. It was therefore by mighty effort alone that he had a scant two hours in which to seek out the information he sought before he would have to retire to sleep, or else be completely useless the next day.
He took snagged a gravcar and told the cabbie, "Take me to where you and the lads go for a spot of drink, or whatever the legal intoxicant is around here."
The cabbie gave him a one eyed beady stare and said, "Are you sure, mammal-people? The places we go are not the high class places, by the storms."
"I'm sure, I'm sure. I might not look it these days, but I came up from w working family. My dah still makes fun that I lost my calluses."
The cabbie blinked twice and raised his crest. Jerry had no idea whether that was a good sign or not, but the blue plumed cabbie lowered his crest and blinked again saying, "Sure, mammal-people. I will take you there, but do not cause the fights or my clan will have share of the debt."
Jerry thought about pressing the issue, but something about how the cabbie's feathers had puffed out and still weren't lying flat convinced him that social lubricant was the needed thing. "What is the preferred intoxicant?" he asked.
"We smoke an herb. It usually does not work for mammal-peoples, so you might not have the fun you look for."
"I see, we also have some intoxicants taken this way, do you draw the smoke through water first?"
"Yes, do you mammal-peoples do this too?"
"It's called hookah, and has a long tradition in several of our cultures. Or bongs, which have a somewhat younger tradition, as history is measured."
"Maybe then you will get the happy haze and no fights will be started, mammal-people."
"Maybe, maybe. I'm just after a good banter, and the banker types are too stuffy."
"You are right, you are right, debt masters do not laugh when you joke, they charge you more interest!" the cabbie laughed, and Jerry fell silent.
At the, well, Jerry would call it a hookah lounge, Jerry found that the lads about avoided him and shot him suspicious glances, and also found that apart from a relaxed feeling in his limbs, the smoke had no effect on him. It was a pleasant feeling, and he could maintain it by taking a draw from the hookah every two minutes or so. It seemed that was a prodigious rate of smoking though, for eventually the suspicious glances turned to those of curiosity or even grudging respect. Jerry surmised that despite his rather drab coloring, they knew an expensive suit when they saw one.
Eventually, a clearly intoxicated Corvain stumbled over to his table and sank down on one of the cushions, "Why do you smoke so well, mammal-thing-people?" he slurred.
"I am used to a much stronger herb, and this makes me simply feel good. Does it not feel good for you?"
"'Course it do. Can't smoke as much."
"Wondering anything else?"
"You a Sneaky?"
Jerry thought about correcting the error, but another glance at the state of his conversation partner dispelled the notion, so he said, "Yes, but I am not very stealthy."
"It's just what people call you… dunno why…"
"I'm not botherd, I know the reason and it's funny."
"Funny?"
"Yes, do you know it?"
"Ish a meme."
"The first one of us that the Star Sailors met was mistaken for a pet, and they named him Sneaky."
That, as planned, brought forth uproarious laughter from the intoxicated Corvian who confided, "That's the kinda thing people-things get bristly about."
"I know, people-things get brislty about all sorts of things. Like the bankers, they won't tell me what debt masters are."
"They own clan debts."
"Clan debts?"
"You know, the debts you clan has, from like way back."
"Do you mean to say you were born in debt?"
"Sssssure, isn't everybody? Well, not rich people-things I guess, but ever-peoples I knowed."
"And these debt masters, they merely collect the interest?"
"Mostly."
"Mostly?"
"If you're not… if the job doesn't pay… erm… they so like tell you to do stuff."
"Involuntary servitude," Jerry said coldly.
"Yeah, that. The hatchlings get that rough."
"Explain please," Jerry said with cold intensity.
It seemed that the intensity of Jerry's gaze or maybe the soft quality of a hammer that his voice emulated, gave the Corvian some degree of sobriety as he stammered, "Yes-yes. The erm, the uh or-or-orphanages. The hatchlings there have no parents to provide for them, so the debt masters have them do something useful."
Jerry was very close to becoming a very dangerous man as he asked, "Are the debts of these children for sale?"
"Y-y-y-y-y-yes?"
"Where does one go to buy debts?"

mi historia empieza en 1ro de secundaria, donde era comiezo de clases, y vi a los nuevos alumnos nuevos, de ahi vi a una chica que llamaremos Y, fue amor de primera vista lo que senti por ella, cuando fue momento de receso fui con ella y me presente, realmente era muy bonita ante mis ojos, entonces empezamos a hablar sobre nosotros, nuestros gustos y cosas así, despues de unos meses trate de darle señales de que me gustaba, pero no me hacia caso. tambien de los nuevos alumnos conoci a mi mejor amigo a quien llamaremos R, nos hicimos buenos amigos, y hasta la actualidad seguimos hablando, recuerdo que era un receso normal y estaba con R, le dije que me gustaba Y, lo cual me respondio que yo le gustaba, me quede boca abierto, por mi cabeza pasaron muchas cosas, entonces ese mismo dia en la salida, me le propuse por primera vez, a lo cual me respondio, "si me gustas pero aun no estoy lista", esas palabras se me grabaron, paso otro año para enterarme que Y estaba saliendo con otro chico, me mantuve calmado, y confundido al mismo tiempo, pero eso no duro mucho, rompieron, en la escuela teniamos talleres, y yo estaba con ella y tambien estaba mi mejor amigo, cuando la maestra nos pedia hacer trabajos juntos pedia con ella y haciamos el trabajo, mientras lo haciamos trataba de tomar su mano, pero ella quitaba su mano, por un momento deje de hacerlo, y le mande mas noche un mensaje diciendole que lo sentia, que si la incomode y que talvez estuvo mal lo que hice, a lo que ella me respondio que no le molestaba, pero no le gustaba que fuera publico, mi cabeza daba vueltas, aun estaba loco por ella, y dias despues fue un 14 de febrero, le compre un globo que no fue para nada barato, se lo di, y me aleje, cuando se fue de donde estaba, vi el globo, debajo de la mesa, me quede con la cara de confusion, no supe como reaccionar, me le propuse semanas despues por segunda vez, me rechazo, lo comprendi, el año siguiente tuve dos relaciones, una que duro poco y otra que duro un poco mas de 7 meses, entonces es cuando pasa lo de la pandemia, ya sabemos que todo fue un caos, pero en ese año, hablaba con Y por mensaje, tambien hablaba con mi mejor amigo muy seguido. Dentro de mi decia que seguia demasiado enamorado de Y, entonces le mande varios mensajes, a lo cual ella se quedo asombrada, entonces ella fue la que me propuso que salieramos, pero por la pandemia haciamos muchas videollamadas, y veiamos peliculas virtualmente, no recuerdo mucho que paso, pero me termino terminando el año, el siguiente año tuve otra pareja y salio un poco mal, pero no lo demostre por algunas cosas personales, Y seguia muy presente en mi vida, y mi amigo ya casi no me hablaba, a inicio de año trate de centrarme mas en el, y pasando el tiempo, volvi a hablar con Y, quien me volvio a decir que le gustaba, esta vez yo la rechace, queria pasar tiempo con mi amigo que tenia tiempos dificiles, y a finales de ese año nos dijeron que podiamos ir fisicamente a la escuela, mi amigo seguia en linea, pero Y iba a las clases, hoy en 2023 pasaron muchas cosas, mi corazon aun seguia amandola a ella, pero empeze a hablar con otra chica con la cual estaba viendo si tenia la oportunidad de salir con ella lo cual no salió bien, luego me le volvi a confesar a Y, a lo cual me rechazo ya que ella ya tenia pareja, decidi no decir nada y seguir normal, pero dias despues me envio una carta diciendome que si queria estar conmigo, mi tonto corazon no lo penso ni dos veces y acepte, despues de unos dias de salir le dije, "oye pero no somos novios aun" a lo que ella respondio que era cierto, entonces se me ocurrio una idea, la cual mi mama me ayudo, compre una caja personalisada con dulces y fotos de nosotros, y ademas una gabardina mia y una rosa, fue un 14 de febrero, donde le dije que si queria ser mi novia, la quise besar pero ella se quito, no dije nada en el momento, ella acepto y dentro de mi cabeza sentia que tenia a la chica perfecta, que era la que me gustaba en 1ro de secundaria y lo que estoy contando paso en 5to semestre de preparatoria, le mande un mensaje diciendole que porque no me quiere dar un beso a lo que me respondio que aun no se siente preparada pero que si lo iba a hacer y que lo haria en un momento especial, que solo tenia que esperar, desde ahi ya empezaba a notar ciertos comportamiento raro en sus redes sociales, veia que salia con un chico, el cual le daba flores y la agarraba de la mano, no le pregunte tal cual, pero le dije que me sentia raro, ya que casi no me hablaba, y la sentia mas distante, me dijo que no me preocupara, que apenas si tenia amigos y que los podia contar con los dedos de la mano,tambien me decia que no me iba a dejar y que me apoyaria con mis problemas que le he contado, confie en ella y pense que era un simple amigo, a lo cual dias despues, me mando un mensaje diciendome, " Hola, Oye quería que habláramos un poco, Por donde debería empezar, Creo que no me he sentido como esperaba sentirme en la relación, Y surgieron sentimientos en mi hacia otra persona, Y no me encuentro estable para continuar con este noviazgo, Perdóname pero debemos terminar, Pero quiero aclarar que si me prefería mantener nuestro lazo de amistad bajo estos términos". Mi sonrisa se torno a una mirada fria y seria hacia mi telefono, me senti tonto, enojado, triste, confundido, no sabia como reaccionar que lo primero que hice fue bloquearla de todas las redes sociales, incluso a su hermana menor que no le caia muy bien que digamos, mi relacion no la hice publica, solo pocas personas sabian, asi que eso me calmo un poco, le conte lo que paso a unas personas, me dieron su apoyo y empezamos a salir para distraernos un poco, recorde que le habia regalado algo asi que se lo pedi devuelta mi gabardina, se lo dije en persona, todas las cosas que le he dicho se lo digo en persona, pero esa vez se lo dije de una manera fria y seria, me dijo que si, mi hermano me pregunto que porque lo hice, le dije, que ella nunca me habia regalado nada, que era injusto que yo hubiera hecho todas las cosas de corazon, y que ella no me regalara nada, y que se quedara lo que le regale seria injusto, ya que no queria que tuviera todo el amor que venia en esa gabardina, no me molestaba que no me diera nada, pero nunca penso en mi, y voy a decir porque, cuando estaba mas calmado busque el porque queria terminar conmigo, recuerdan ese chico que salia con ella, pues si, el era con quien me ha estado poniendo el cuerno, lo hacia mucho antes de que me le declarara, entre en su perfil y vi fotos de ella besandose con el y eran fotos de cuando ya eramos novios, me senti mas frustado, llore, llore varias noches, en la escuela le demuestro mi indeferencia, ya no le hablo, ni le dirijo la mirada, lo unico que me queda es mi mejor amigo, y creo que la siguiente semana ire al cine con el. espero y disfrutemos la pelicula.

• ¿Qué es una unión de hecho?

La familia es un conjunto de personas vinculadas por una unión pública, notaria, única y estable, e integran una unidad social y económica principal o primaria. Entonces, una unión de hecho es eso, un tipo de familia.

• ¿En qué se diferencia con el matrimonio?

La única diferencia es su antecedente "formal". La unión de hecho se da por una práctica informal de la familia, y el matrimonio por una práctica formal.

• ¿Cómo sé si estoy en una unión de hecho?

Por supuesto, no estoy casado (a). Y convivo con una persona que es mi pareja. Pero también, deben existir las siguientes circunstancias:
1) Publicidad y notoriedad.
Mi relación es conocida por todas las personas cercanas a mí, o ante otras no tan cercas o extrañas. Toda persona que me conoce sabe que tengo pareja, o me presento ante otras como una persona con pareja. Lo sabe mi mamá, mi papá, mis amigos (as), compañeros (as) del trabajo, etc. Hasta la subo a Facebook e Instagram.
No es clandestina u oculta.
2) Unicidad o singularidad.
Es única mi relación de pareja, o sea, está basada en la monogamia y por tanto conlleva que esta sea única o singular.
Entonces, si una de estas personas es infiel ¿no habría unión de hecho? Sí habría unión de hecho, porque esta está basada en monogamia y es única. La infidelidad por sí misma no tiene como consecuencia desaparecer la monogamia que se definió al iniciar la relación.
3) Estable.
La estabilidad es solidez y permanencia. El parámetro para definir si esta relación es estable es un plazo de 2 años en convivencia, sólida y continúa.
4) Cohabitación.
La pareja debe cohabitar. De la cohabitación se discute. La cohabitación continua puede interrumpirse por una dinámica familiar ¿a qué tipo de dinámica? En las cuales el vínculo es sólido y permanente pero uno de los convivientes no cohabita en períodos de tiempo mas esta relación de pareja se mantiene (Ej. El hombre que es trailero y pasa tan sólo 2 días en casa).
5) Libertad de estado.
Las personas en convivencia en unión de hecho deben tener libertad de estado: Pueden casarse. ¿En qué casos no hay libertad de estado? Cuando una de estas personas está casada y no se ha divorciado (Ej. Juan se casó con Marta pero se separaron hace 2 años, tiempo en el cual Juan comenzó a vivir con Lucía como su pareja). Si no existe libertad de estado, no hay unión de hecho.
6) Fin de la relación.
La finalidad de esta relación es el formar familia. Y no entiendan formar familia como tener hijos (as). No. Puede existir familias sin hijos (as). La evolución del concepto de familia hoy día entiende que esta es con conjunto de personas vinculadas por una unión pública, notaria, única y estable, e integran una unidad social y económica, con el fin de compartir una vida en común, auxiliarse y socorrerse mutuamente.
¿Por qué es importante el fin? Porque no existe unión de hecho en caso de amoríos, relaciones esporádicas o superficiales (Ej. Los suggars daddy y las suggars baby, donde no existe un fin de formar familia, ni una vida en común, auxilio o socorro, sino sólo sexo).

• ¿Puede ser entre hombre y mujer, hombre y hombre, o mujer y mujer?

Parece increíble decirlo. Pero sí. Hace unos pocos años aún no se podía, sino que debía ser entre hombre y mujer.

• ¿Qué efectos tiene?

Según el Código de Familia: "surtirá todos los efectos patrimoniales propios del matrimonio formalizado legalmente."
¿O sea? 1) Gananciales. Desde el inicio de la convivencia y hasta su fin, se van a producir bienes gananciales en el patrimonio de cada una de estas personas. 2) Pensión alimentaria. Uno (a) de los (as) convivientes, de necesitar y depender económicamente, tendrá derecho a recibir alimentos y el (la) otro (a) tendrá la obligación de satisfacerlos. 3) Fidelidad y socorro. Para estas personas, la fidelidad y socorro será una obligación, y sino lo hacen tendrá consecuencias civiles y/o penales. 4) Obligación de sufragar gastos de la familia. Las dos personas estarán obligadas a los gastos de la familia. 5) Educación y crianza de hijos (as). Si tienen hijos (as) van a tener esta obligación mutua. 6) Herencia. Tendrán derecho a heredarse entre sí.
Pero esta unión de hecho debe declarase judicialmente, y tiene dos años para solicitar su declaratoria en caso de ruptura o muerte.

• Consejo

El casarse o seguir en unión de hecho va a depender de cada persona y su relación.
Mi abuela nunca se casó con mi abuelo porque decía que era caro casarse y separarse también. Claro, tienen como 55 años juntos. Ya no se van a separar sino hasta su muerte.
Pero si que existe una diferencia entre casarse y vivir en unión de hecho. La problemática de la unión de hecho es que no opera automáticamente, sino que debe reconocerse judicialmente. ¿Y por qué es un problema? Porque estas personas no están protegidas como los (as) esposos (as) sino hasta que se reconoce la unión. Puede afectar momentáneamente. ¿En qué? En el seguro social, en la pensión, en declarar en contra del otro (a) en procesos penales, en la herencia, en las decisiones médicas, etc. El matrimonio, en ese sentido, soluciona inmediatamente estas cuestiones, mientras que la unión de hecho no, sino que solución puede llegar a ser lenta, compleja y costosa.
Con todo, en caso de matrimonio se puede hacer antes o durante, de una forma más sencilla y rápida, capitulaciones matrimoniales: Para que no existan bienes gananciales y cada uno (a), en caso de divorcio, se quede con los bienes que adquirió durante este vínculo matrimonial.

Creo tener cierta sospecha ante la situación intelectual de mi mamá. Desde muy temprana edad no le había generado algo de importancia; hasta el momento de ahora. En dónde ya poseo conocimiento acerca de este espectro de la discapacidad. Y bien aquí va mi declaración, desde hace tiempo que no solo yo sino los demás de mi familia hemos notado una cierta deficiencia en la función intelectual de mi respectiva madre. Desde comportamientos no acordes a su edad o desentonantes a la situación, situaciones en cierto desfavorecimiento para la salud de ella y ciertas percepción erróneas de la vida real. Al principio mi abuela me comentó sobre sospechas de algún tipo de déficit de atención o autismo; lo cual hubiera tenido cierta base lógica. Yo todavía no conocía del tema de la neurodivergencia, por lo que esa fue la primera observación hacia ella privadamente. Con el pasar del tiempo vimos que esas dificultades se deben a que no puede procesar de cierta forma bien la información. Le cuesta aprender o razonar en ciertas cosas que bajo el punto de vista de alguien promedio (no hablo de mi); debería ser algo básico. No denota ningún rasgo mayor como una discapacidad intelectual leve ni nada de ello. Puede vivir de cierta forma independiente, solamente que con la dificultad social y lógica para ello. Yo pensaba que ella solo era diferente en cierto sentido pero no en un sentido intelectual. Y ojo no estoy metiendo ningúna cuestion escolar, eso es lo de menos. Y aquí va la raíz del problema. Que apesar de las sutilezas como el diálogo serio ella no entiende que necesita cierta o más ayuda que los demás. Lo que bajo toda mi vida independiente conmigo género cierto conflicto ante los comportamientos de ambos. Y para quedarme yo con cierto rango de remordimiento, sospecho yo también tener cierto déficit. No en un grado de d.limitrofe pero si lo suficientemente bajo para no sentir sastifaccion con lo que hago. Había prometido en cierta forma no acercarme a comportamientos discriminatorios. Pero como su hijo que lleva su carga genética, me siento muy limitado comparando la trayectoria que tuvieron los demás miembros de la familia. Ya que se presentaron 3 casos de altas capacidades. En parte es un conflicto personal y una ansiedad que aveces se convierte en desapego por lo que será la vida de ambos. Yo entrando en una situación de cierta miseria (y llegando a presentar comportamientos discriminatorios, en forma de frustración) y ella teniendo aún dificultades porque ella misma no se quiere ayudar. Nunca fuimos a una terapia que no fuera relación al psicólogo escolar (y solo iba yo), aveces siento que mi vida pudo haberse desarrollado desde un primer momento en la infancia de forma más plena si mi papá hubiera tenido la consideración de apoyarla en cierto sentido y no sesgarse ante las actitudes que ella tenía en la relación familiar. Ya eh pasado por un transtorno de la ansiedad y baja autoestima (y no lo hablo tan a la ligera). Debido a su falta de comprensión al criar un hijo, quisiera llevarla a una evaluación cognitiva solamente que a los 2 nos pesaría bajos los demás puntos que puse.
Y por si un lado me ponen frases espirituales del porque de la situación de los 2, déjenme decirles que esto no va a funcionar. Eh reflexionado varias veces que una cuestión filosófica no tiene que ser verdad siempre para mí existencia. Yo lo sigo viendo de una forma más básica.
Además por otra parte, aquí nunca la llegué a insultar o denigrar solo quiero ciertos consejos en como llevar está situación. Ya que estoy a nada de pasar a la adultez. Y ya veo sopesar en el futuro de ambos. Y en mi caso combinada con una depresión no clínica, osea un sentimiento de bajo rendir constante.
Yo aprendi a no querer ser un genio, pero quiero solo saber si tengo aptitudes suficientes para lograr mis metas.

Ciao a tutti, ho 25 anni e da qualche mese ho iniziato a lavorare (primo lavoro) come consulente informatico dopo essermi laureato in Informatica (Laurea Magistrale).
Ho ancora voglia di studiare, in particolare mi interesserebbe un ambito che complementi la mia attuale formazione e che permetta di ambire a ruoli più di "ricerca e sviluppo/math oriented". Stavo quindi pensando di iscrivermi part time ad una laurea magistrale in statistica o qualcosa di simile (ad esempio matematica applicata) a cui poter accedere data con la mia laurea (o con al massimo qualche esame più obbligatorio per soddisfare eventuali prerequisiti).
D'altra parte potrei invece focalizzarmi maggiormente nello studio per certificazioni utili nel mio campo (cloud) e che queste mi possano dare un maggiore ritorno economico nell'immediato. Sto studiando già per una di queste certificazioni ma sebbene gli argomenti mi interessino mi manca la profondità con cui gli argomenti vengono trattati all'università.
Un altra alternativa sarebbe quella di fare un PhD "industriale" ossia all'interno di una grande azienda, in quanto fare carriera accademica in università non mi interessa. Mi sembra però che in Italia siano pochissime le aziende che offrono questa possibilità.
Escludo i master perché quelli che mi interessano costano troppo per le mie tasche e la maggior parte sono full time.
Secondo voi dal punto di vista economico e lavorativo potrebbe avere senso investire 4+ anni in un'altra laurea? Oppure sarebbe meglio puntare ad una delle altre due alternative? Sono abbastanza indeciso e confuso😅

Antes de empezar disculpen mi falta de tildes, mi teclado/navegador no tiene la opcion de agregar.
Ultimamente se han realizado avances considerables en la medicina y cada vez hay mas comprension sobre la rama genetica de la biologia, pero de llegar el dia en que se logre 'mejorar' humanos (Ej: Eliminar enfermedades heredadas, mejorar vista, etc.) de forma segura y artificial antes de que nazcan, cual consideran que seria la decision correcta para un pais o la especie entera:
- Hacer obligatorio que todos los humanos por nacer se mejoren.
- Dejar la decision a los padres de que elegir por sus hijos.
Es un tema que ultimamente he estado pensando y me gustaria leer que opinan.

My understanding of the tantrum you were throwing when I exited your life without saying anything was that my friend had paid you to do it so that my life would be sabotaged. I had some clue that you had been working with him since slightly after we met. I imagine he saw me talking to you on my FB messenger and went to you directly. He offered you compensation to watch me and keep me distracted while he sabotaged things in the background. We had only been speaking for a few months after you completely flipped on me. I thought that was way too soon for someone to develop an attachment like that with me. Especially someone who constantly claims to not have any feelings and be the epitome of detachment. I assumed there was a motive or I really am that mommy, that you felt the need to cry for me that way. Please don't be offended at the verbiage that I used just now, but I had a dream I was holding you like a baby and ever since then I can't unsee it.
You will forever be baby to me. And you love to be taken care of like one too, that was why I found so much satisfaction in our interactions. I love nurturing things and people because it makes me feel like I'm evolving when I do. Nothing I did for you ever felt in vain or wasted in spite of the suspicions I had because I knew that in spite of the circumstances, we had made a genuine connection. We did learn from and inspire one another to grow. We had great times. It's a pity that my friend tries to ruin all of my relationships out of jealousy. Who knows what we could have been without his interferences? I guess we will never know!
At this point so much damage has been done, that connecting in a way that feels natural takes more effort than either one of us has to give. But the fact that we can have love and friendship in our hearts for one another in spite of the traumatic experiences we endured and our differences, is a testimony to the strength of our individual love and the love in our hearts for the other. We have always been so powerful in that way. I know that my voice sounds stern and scary when you hear me and I'm sorry for that. I am putting up barriers because I need them right now. I do not mean you any harm, but I need time to think.
It's interesting hearing you tell me how you saw things. I honestly have no idea if I really mean that much to people or if they just need something. I have no idea how to react when people who tell me they hope I die and that I'm a walking disaster show up and act like they can't live without me. The invasions to my privacy. Remember when you left those books by the park where I work? Remember when you sent me messages about what was inside my room when we hadn't talked in months and I never gave you the address to my house? How was I supposed to react? What was I supposed to think? I did the best I could with what I had and yet at the end of the day, I was the one who abandoned you because I didn't let you come back immediately after you abandoned me first. You ditched me as soon as your ex wanted you back and then when you fought with her you wanted me back. I'm not going to be your back up for whenever you and your wife are fighting. That's not friendship. This is why it's not a good idea to bring up the past to me. I just want you to really think and reflect about all the things that I know and think twice before you try to guilt trip me for not being around enough when I couldn't even get far enough away from you people who act like a bunch of users and then turn around and act like it's my fault that I let you do it.
It's a lot.

I made it back to Austin on May 1st, 2023, and am having a difficult time finding weird people like me😀. This may come to nothing, but I thought I'd give a shot at creating a safe space for single witches of every path to drop in and say hello to one another. To often, we become comfortable in our tight little circles and miss the amazing gift that others can be if we just knew who they were. If you come here propagating organized religion and disrespecting our beliefs, of course I will block you (if that's possible here), but more than this, my magick REALLY WILL find you and upend your existence. I am no beginner, and I follow the Left Hand Path though I do not identify as a 'satanist' or some kind of 'devil worshiper'. To me, that is merely the angry polar opposite of the Christian mythos, and the TRUTH of the Old Ways both predates and transcends the quiltwork patchjob of ancient pagan philosophies/mythologies that modern Christianity is. So save it. It is both unwelcome and unwanted, and will not be tolerated here. That said, the TRUE Left Hand Path adheres to the earliest understandings of god/goddess, which is both creative AND destructive: Creative when it is fitting, destructive when it is called for. And you sow the seeds of your own crop, which YOU WILL eventually feast on (whether you like it or not). Inside every true Witch, there are two people: A King/Queen, and a damned fool! The one you talk to is the one you get. So he respectful here. Be REAL. And if you are phishing and trying too hustle others so you can steal from them by your emotional terrorism, I will warm you only ones: For times since I have been in Austin someone had attempted to play me online. For times I smelled it coming a thousand yards out, called them on it, and TOLD them the things that at midnight I would unleash in their lives. One made not reply that evening, none at all; three mocked. Within 72 hours every single one of them were blowing up my phone, apologizing, and begging me to make it stop. Two of them offered ME money if I would just recall what I had done. Their money can rot with them. Amy of my brothers and sisters that shows up here--- leave them alone! They are my Family, and I get REAL FIUCKNG SERIOUS when people abuse my Family. You have been warned.

NOW: For my Family who are led to this place, I bid ye welcome. Merry Meet! I look forward to getting to know you. My Path here in Austin is being blessed beyond my most hopeful expectations. But I am absolutely alone here, and it stands to reason I am not the only one. So, here we are. I am anxious to make dinner friends. But, despite what most would conclude about someone following the darker path, I believe in complete transparency in ANY relationship, including friendship. So before you choose to say hello, there are a couple things you have a right to know up front: I was raised by and with outlaws. 

Real one percenters. I just thought that was what I was supposed to be. In a nightmare of a night in 1989, in the throws of a nervous breakdown after putting my firstborn 5 year old child in a hole in the ground (ending his year and a half long agonizing experience with lymphoma cancer), and three quarters of Him Beam in for the day, a 44 year old man attempted to kill me and leave with both families bags of goodies. I won. And for it, because of my family and the guys I was known to ride with, the state of Texas took me down hard, going I would roll over on all of them. When I wouldn't, they railroaded me with a 35 year sentence of which they made me do 30 flat. Everytime I called up for parole, the Federal Marshals and within a week they Texas Rangers would come and "interview" me, threatening me AGAIN with parole of I didn't talk. When I let loose with whatever creative things I had came up with for that time fire them to do with their parole papers, they would indeed see to it that I was once more denied parole. I did not waste my time down there. Well, I suppose I wasted the first 11 years being angry, and young & stupid 🙄 (I was only 24 when all of this occurred). But in 2002 the Old Ways saved my life. I had practiced for years, but having grown up in an unspeakably abusive home, I carried so much repressed anger and hurt (that I had no clue how to deal with) that I wasn't worth knocking in the head. Returning to the Path of my ancestors, for the first time in my life, I found true peace. I struggled for a while to keep a promise I made to my mom that at least once in my life I would give her religion (Christianity) am honest try--- and I did. With all of my heart. But honestly, there is only emptiness there for me. And I eventually returned to the ways of the Old World where I had found Me, really found Me. I am 57, in great shape, got my education while I was down there; took every self help class and did every positive course I could get into while there as well, and have been free at last for next two and a half years now. Years which I have wasted trying to mend familial fences and help loved ones that don't really want any help (mostly meth addicts). In April, I gave up and returned to Austin, my favorite places in Texas since I first moved here in 1981. I am from Livingston, Texas originally. But when I was 16 my metal bands picked up a producer in Houston and we made a splash in the pond. We moved to Austin (the band), and the months later had a manager from LA, who moved us there, and the rest is history. But I was unable to outrun the psychological damage done, primarily, by my mom as I was growing up, I couldn't hide from Me. And I was SO frigging broken. I was never an alcoholic or a drug addict. I did my share of everything back then, but I had seen it all swallow people I had known and loved, and I had NO intentions of being another statistic for that shit. Within a few years, two of the guys in my hand were full blown addicts, so my brother and rhythm guitarist, Mike, and I (who had to handle the lion's share of the workload alone) the in the towel and came back to Texas. That was about the time we found out my son was sick, and it all went downhill from there. When the mental torment would get too much, I would lose myself in a whiskey bottle to keep from putting a . 44 slug through my skull before daylight. It was on one of these days that a bro called me and asked me to make a drop. It was an emergency for him and it was already set up. But that evening he'd been told his little 19 year old college student, straight laced, awesome little sister had been killed here in Austin in a traffic accident on the loop, and her needed to go be with his family. Though I had pulled up on ANYTHING illegal when my daughter had been born a year and a half earlier, I said yes to him under the circumstances just that once. And the guy we had done business with for a decade decided, I guess, since it was this cute kid that showed up he would make a come up. He'd BEEN told about me numerous times. I was dangerous when I was young. But his arrogance won the conversation in his head and he tried to end me. And what pathetic excuse for a life that I had at that point was destroyed, and his own ended. If I could undo it, I would. If I could trade places with him, I would. But we can't unring a bell. There are consequences for the things we do. Sometimes they are severe. They were for me. But I made it through, somehow. And here I am. Hoping to make some friends. Have an amazing rest of your day. So Mote It Be! 🌹

1. Sara’s at the diner where Ethan calls Sara a monster; he confronts his fear
   
2. Victor and Jade venture outside of town; Victor mentions the trees are changing again (this could indicate the parameters of the trap are moving). We, along with Jade, learn Victor made the car graveyard, he’s been moving the cars ever since he was a kid being the sole survivor of his “cycle”
   
3. Victor finds his mother’s car and has Jade play Twinkle, Twinkle–the lullaby, hence the title (another reference to sleeping) on his violin. Victor’s mom used to play it when he was scared, telling him as a kid to think of the lullaby when the monsters scream so he wouldn’t be afraid anymore. We finally see the depths of Victor’s trauma.
   
4. Elgin and Sara have a heart to heart in the church, both teenagers are unique and are connected to the place, especially since both teens experience seizures and may have a connection to each other. We learn Nathan’s ornament is a reminder when things were normal which is why she’s desperate to retrieve it considering her strained relationship with the town. Sara confesses to Elgin about killing Nathan.
   
5. Ethan and Jim return, informing Tabitha he faced his fear. They hug and Tabitha sees the puzzle blocks Ethan built reminding her of her fear regarding the sick kids
   
6. Sara visits the diner to get her stuff back as Tian-Chen confronts her about “taking from her” and storms off to cry
   
7. Kenny flips out seeing Sara leave the diner, dumps her stuff and breaks the ornament, threatening her in front of an audience.
   
8. Marielle gives Kristi the Dudley Moore cut making her hideous ;p . Tillie shows up again as we finally learn she’s been wanting to give Kristi, the town’s doctor, her liquid morphine because she's dying, which explains Tillie’s strange behavior. She accepts her fate and her role may be helpful since she will be dead regardless.
   
9. Victor finally sheds some truth; the man in the Polaroid is named Christopher, Victor explains Christopher was genuinely liked, made people laugh, but he changed; the topic makes Victor extremely uncomfortable clearly showing his trauma and starts to lose it the more Jade pushes him
   
10. FINALLY, we learn everyone died once Christopher started seeing the symbol and things changed. “He changed and he didn’t make people laugh anymore. He stopped smiling.” Further implying the ventriloquist belonged to Christopher, especially since Jade saw it earlier in a vision and how Victor lost it once he saw the dummy in the cave. “One night, my mother told me to hide somewhere new, somewhere different, somewhere Christopher didn’t know, and when I woke up the next morning, everyone…” *Call back to the flashback of kid Victor emerging from the bunker, mutilated bodies everywhere as a smiling BIW rides the carousel and dogs are running around. May imply that cycle was a success.
    
11. Victor: “There are bad things here. They make people do bad things.” More confirmation people are being manipulated (Sara) and strengthens the validity of Jade being the NEXT Christopher. *Proves the symbol Jade sees is a BAD symbol.** Call back to his convo with Ethan about the quest* plus Jade only sees visions of death. His latest vision of Christopher showing Jade the symbols with blood provides more proof.
    
12. Facing her fear, Tabitha arrives at the cave entrance and builds the puzzle block tower (may actually belong to sick kids) inviting them to “come out” —Anghkooey!!! who tf knows what this means lol. It’s quite possible these kids are speaking a different language if they’re from a different world entirely OR they’re a part of the design to influence her since her trauma was losing her baby, so maybe Anghkooey is a trigger word
    
13. Ghost kids were sick; we know many people arrived sick (Boyd, Kenny’s dad, Tillie), possible clue as to why they’re chosen too–they’re already emotionally weak.
    
14. Jade runs into Tabitha, her nose is bleeding. Maybe the kids trying to connect with her was that strenuous.
    
15. About Sara, Jim tells Boyd “I saw a broken kid and I’m looking around, I’m seeing a lot of people pushed to their edge”— call back to Kahtri’s “broken people” comment. Jim: “You ever wonder if that’s the point?” Yes, Jim, yes!!! ;p
    
16. Jim confesses to Boyd they heard a voice on the radio, rehashes details, pushes his theory that it's an experiment. Boyd refuses to confide in him–he’s still not ready. Jim questioning how everything works and to uncover the truth may be his role in the grand scheme of things.
    
17. Boyd enters diner as jukebox plays Sandman song—a nod to the cosmic being who controls dreams–another detail mentioning dreaming, sleeping. Worms activate in Boyd’s arm again. Does music imply “They” are making moves? Afterthought: I need to go back in S1 to see if anything major happened whenever the jukebox played.
    
18. Marielle steals the morphine, we learn she’s an addict.
    
19. Randall sits on top of the bus installing one of the bus seats, hinting he’ll go on a shooting spree. He carves something.
    

S2 E5 Lullaby

1. Title hints at more dreaming, sleeping; reminds us of the music box connected to Boyd
   
2. Monsters harass Randall in the bus; they leave knowing they can’t entice him to open the door
   
3. Jade gets drunk and sees the man in the Polaroid for the first time; he opens up book of symbols, blood oozes out of symbols (this symbolizes death) and Jade spirals.
   
4. Tabitha and Jim go to church to confront Sara; Boyd does his best to defend Sara by naming all the unlikely events that happened (constructing the tower, bus load of people arriving having little resources for them and a house fell for “no god damn reason”) for her to stay out of the Box
   
5. Tabitha threatens Sara she’ll kill her. Tabitha and Jim seem to lose Boyd’s respect and trust
   
6. Ethan hides in his room learning Sara is back; Jim mentions the Cromenockle, “when she’s afraid to go inside the cave.” Ethan finally comes out asking to see Sara
   
7. Inside peek into Kristi and Marielle’s relationship; shows Kristi her old shirt, Kristi admits she’s changed bc of the place
   
8. Sara attempts to visit her old place she shared with her brother Nathan, wants to keep his jacket and wants to find ornament (their reminder of normal), but is kicked out abruptly by new the “tenants”
   
9. Jade constructs symbol using empty glass bottles (Easter egg—see! more bottles!), Victor shows up at the bar; they strike up an agreement
   
10. Tabitha is upset about Ethan wanting to see Sara. Jim: “After Thomas… Because ALL the doctors said that we should let him lead sometimes, they also said that we have to let him work through things in his own way and to be there to support him when he asks.” This may imply Ethan was suffering severely after losing his baby brother. Further indicating his trauma and major change.*
    
11. Ethan tells his mom, “when you’re on a quest, we have to face the scary things. That’s how you take their power away.” *Call back to Randall on the bus. Possible clue to defeating “Them.” Inspiring Tabitha to manage her own fear with the sick kids.
    
12. Donna and Boyd talk; she reminds Boyd “he was supposed to come back with answers, not psycho Sara;” Boyd argues that Sara knows things. Donna: “Voices or no voices, do you see a yellow brick fuckin road leading us home?” Potential clue suggesting there are in fact 2 opposing forces, just like the wizard and witch of Oz. The wizard could represent “Them” since he hid behind a disguise in OZ just like the BIW.
    
13. Donna calls out Boyd about Abby, that he’s projecting onto Sara since he wasn’t there for his wife
    
14. Boyd saving Sara creates a huge rift amongst the town, starts to lose credibility and trust with practically everyone
    

Here’s a collection of clues from S2 ep1-6 to help support a new theory.
((Heads up! I had to split posts several times since the first was way too long for me do so. I’m sorry!!))
But first! Let’s cover some groundwork from S1, which led to my analyses of S2.
Based on the cave drawings, we learn the place could be an entirely different world. By nature, cave drawings are meant to communicate the history and origins of a civilization, and by trope, they’re further meant to explain the source of the major conflict the characters are facing in the present.
Here’s looking at GOT’s White Walker origin story and Raised By Wolves’s Sol and Serpent as both shows used the same device. In From, we see its Natives travel by river to a place where they encountered an ancient evil—the symbol Jade sees is drawn, as well as a giant red entity. It’s safe to assume they are one in the same.
The symbol may be the creature’s mechanism to invoke change as we see white stick figure drawings transform into red stick figures, which highly allude to the monsters who torment the town. A monster did confirm they were made that way.
The lighthouse Boyd and Sara see implies the strange land is by water which supports the cave drawing. In general, the lighthouse’s purpose is to aid in navigation to either stay away, danger beware and to come this way—all pertaining to the paradox of the town. Lastly, the painting of an Adam and Eve-esque couple with a creature terrifyingly towering over them strongly supports the different world concept—that’s where they’re From.
So here’s my theory—
There are TWO forces at work on the town.
An advanced civilization operates the town as a fear farm (think Maze Runner) in order to defeat the ancient evil who thrives off fear (think Pennywise creature) which plagues the real world “outside” of the town.
The monsters, being a product of their creator, have a simple duty to satiate their creator’s need to feed on fear, whereas the civilization takes advantage of this—Like a cage with a snare trap function, the town is designed to psychologically house people (think Wandavision) to keep them alive and comfortable “for the most part” (electricity, running water, food) in order to continue harvesting their fear by trapping people in with monsters and manipulating them like Boyd, ultimately producing a hero serum—the “worm” blood, which killed the Smiley monster.
“They” need to continue this cycle to keep eradicating monsters in the real world and to keep the ancient evil at bay from attacking their own society.
Now since From is also a sci fi show, we can make things extra by adding a time element. The world may not even be alien. It could take place so, so far into the future, Earth is no longer what it is. In order to retrieve “stock,” “They” must resort to the past by plucking people from different timelines to accommodate the ancient evil’s cyclical appetite by starting fresh with a new batch of people. The glass bottles hanging from the tree also support this due to the collection of random years.
We can go even crazier and say the ancient evil is a consequence of a causal loop where the future event created the past event which in turn creates the future event—I know, mindfuck —which is why this society uses and sacrifices people from humanity’s past in order to justify the agenda as it’s for the common good of humanity—or what’s left of it.
This is why the title is intentionally ambiguous, besides matching the ambiguity of the show, but because from does reference so many things regarding the plot.
Also, the beginning credits song hints at the people’s fate being sealed and in general, there is no future to see because humanity's future is way too bleak: “Whatever will be, will be. The future’s not ours to see. Que sera sera.” What a paradox since this song sounds so carefree.
Now let’s look back at a few S1 tea. We know the MCs all experienced major life changes, both good and bad, before getting trapped: Kenny and Tian-Chen managing the dad’s dementia, Kristi was about to enter medical school, Boyd has Parkinson’s, the Matthews lost their baby, Jade just sold his software company, etc. For the most part, they’re all holding onto heavy emotions.
As if the trap “They” created only catches certain people based on their emotional standing in order to produce more favorable fear outputs. So in a sense, the people are chosen.
In episode Book 74, when Father Kahtri found Sara, she said:
“Because... they told me things, things they couldn't know (“They” chose her, of course they know about her.) They told me those two cars were coming and to stand out near the edge of town and I would see. (“They” planned to do this).
They said it happened before, that two cars came on the same day and EVERYONE died. Heavily alludes it’s a cycle.
They said it was because of the people in the cars, (Jim the mechanical engineer and Jade the software developer were chosen) but if... if I did what they said, that we'd be safe, we'd get to go home.”
For as long as Victor has been there, he’s NEVER seen two cars arrive at the same time, let alone have an accident—an important detail—perhaps the element needed to spark the next chain of events, which also prompted “Them” to manipulate Sara to carry out murder plots—the youngest and most vulnerable of them all. It’s like a formula must be followed.
In an exchange between Jim and Tabitha about the same bracelet she found from her past (psychological trigger either to drive behavior or cause more emotional stress), Tabitha said, “I was so afraid I ruined it, but then, when I gave it to you, you said, "Accidents--"
Jim: "Accidents are the best part." Yes. Why? Ah, because it makes it one of a kind. Call back to their accident with Jade. Adding Jim and Jade together at the same time adds a unique element to the cycle.
With all that being said, there’s too much sleeping and dreaming clues to ignore, which is why I’m hoping it’s more metaphoric like what transpired in Wandavision and not a Matrix or 1899 simulation since that would take away so many supernatural elements—like I want those sick kids to be actual ghosts haunting Tabitha on a land actually inhabited by things we always thought were myth. But then again, I can see “Them” copy the real world of monsters into this simulation in order to get the best results. Contradictory, there are also many Is this real? This is real. references which does imply everything the characters are experiencing is in fact directly happening to them. Agh! The paradox kills me!
Whew! Now that that’s covered, let’s unpack what we’ve seen in S2 so far that supports my reasoning rant above. Here’s the most important details in order, along with brief scene captions for clarity.

Hello, you beautiful human beings. I, like many of you, am chronically online.
You may remember me from last year when I pieced together, in excruciating detail, the timelines of season four. (If you don't, yes, I do exist. 🥲)
Well, folks, I'm BACK! And while I won't be writing my usual snarky commentary, I did want to provide you with crucial info about when most of season six was filmed. Using paparazzi shots, Instagram posts, news headlines, and fan videos, I pieced together many of the scenes from this season to see when exactly this season was filmed.
DISCLAIMERS:
1.) Yes, I know it's a reality show, which doesn't always present "reality." I'm doing this for fun.
2.) I didn't grab the filming date from every scene; that would've taken too long... and I have to go outside at some point. I know that the cast may not post any pics the same day they were taken, so I did my best to cross-reference each post with other cast members and paparazzi shots to ensure maximum accuracy. Again, this is all for fun, and I may not even be 100% correct, but I did my best.

Nicole and Chrishell have a blowout in front of clients, co-stars, and the cameraman. This remarkable scene, which made it to the headlines, was filmed on August 31st, 2022.

Kote only begins to lose the fight against two soldiers after his grip fails. He then fails at break lion, which involves gripping and twisting.

In a smooth motion, Kvothe stepped forward and struck the man hard in the jaw. The soldier staggered and fell to one knee. The purse arced through the air and hit the floorboards with a solid metallic thud.
Before the soldier could do more than shake his head, Kvothe stepped forward and calmly kicked him in the shoulder. Not a sharp kick of the sort that breaks bones, but a hard kick that sent him sprawling backward. The man landed hard on the floor, rolling to a stop in a messy tangle of arms and legs.
The other soldier stepped past his friend, grinning wide under his beard. He was taller than Kvothe, and his fists were broad knots of scar and knuckle. “Right cully,” he said, dark satisfaction in his voice. “You’re gettin’ a kickin’ now.”

The big man was forced to bend over, grimacing in pain. Then he jerked his arm roughly out of the innkeeper’s grip. Kvothe had half a moment to look startled before the soldier’s elbow caught him in the temple.

Blood running down the side of his face, Kvothe struggled to free his wrist. Dazed, he made a quick motion with both hands, then repeated it, trying to pull away. His eyes half-focused and dull with confusion, he looked down at his wrist and made the motion again, but his hands merely scrabbled uselessly at the soldier’s scarred fist.

An old post from smurphilicious casually mentioned Kote having a ruined hand, but they didn't get into the details of why they thought that... and I think I've seen others theorize this. I had also wondered if the often mentioned damaged hands were a 'clue', and digging into this issue really made me appreciate how important hands are in the KKC. I count 183 occurrences of the phrase 'my hands' in the KKC, not counting similar phrases like 'my hand' or 'his hands' or 'my right hand' etc. I tried to count 'hand' and 'hands'... over 500 times in the first book for sure, I lost count. You really have to stop and think about how often Kvothe's hands are brought into focus in the story. They are described more meticulously than his face. Denna, his parents, Kilvin all discuss his hands specifically. Hands, like dreams and the moon and music, are a major theme in KKC.
This also likely plays into lefthand = clever and righthand = strong, and the Amyr being the 'strong right hand' of the church. Kvothe losing a piece of the hand he swears to Denna on, his left hand, would mean he loses 'cleverness' (absence of magic and music) but not his 'strength' (adem fighting, taking 'one perfect step', killing scrael, etc).

hi! long time lurker here in need of some friendly routine advice. I was on tretinoin 0.025% for acne from October 2022 until May 2023. My skin never looked better up until March when I suspected my moisture barrier was compromised due to a lack of hydrating products in my routine. My skin looked dull, was itchy, everything I put on it stung, and I was experiencing new breakouts after 2 months without any! Not to mention the main thing that clued me in was that I was a horrifying shade of red that looked like a sunburn.
At the time my routine was consistent and very simple: AM: Water on face, Naturium Niacinamide + Zinc (Every third day I’d swap it out for Mad Hippie Vitamin C), Trader Joe’s Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer, Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen
PM: Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash, Naturium Niacinamide +Zinc, Tretinoin 0.025% (Every other night), Trader Joe’s Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer
After multiple attempts to fix my dehydration problem without stopping use of tret I finally took it out of my routine and focused on getting my skin healed. Fast forward to today, after multiple trial and error with different products, my overall skin appearance feels and looks hydrated (FINALLY!!!!) but the catch is, i’m getting the same breakouts I was before I started using tret!
My routine as of now is:
AM: La roche Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser, Naturium Niacinamide + Zinc, La Roche Posay Double Repair Moisturizer, Neutrogena Baby Sunscreen
PM: La Roche Posay Hydrating Cleanser, La Roche Posay Double Repair Moisturizer, La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5
I have very sensitive, dry, acne prone skin with lots of texture and hyperpigmentation. I have breakouts mainly on my chin, jawline, around my mouth and sides of my face. I get flat closed comedones in all the same areas as well that sometimes flare up into angry pimples but more often just lay dormant on my face. (Tretinoin was the only thing that made them go away). I want to reintroduce Tretinoin now that I am more informed. (I was prescribed by a doctor who didn’t tell me much except to ease into it). I also bought Paula’s choice Azelaic Acid 10% Booster thinking that could help with pigmentation + subside future breakouts but I don’t know how to put that into my routine.
Should I start with the Tretinoin or give the Azelaic Acid a chance first? Will Azelaic Acid help with breakouts on its own or should I be using them together? Will Azelaic Acid give me the same benefits that the Vitamin C did or should I go back to Vitamin C? Any help is appreciated! I want to keep my skincare as simplified as possible!
