2023.06.01 03:23 jenhairvietnam bleach knots on a wig

The simple way for newbies to bleach knots is to buy the bleaching kit for the face and body it's literally two ingredients, a measuring cup, and a spatula and you just measure it out, mix it up, apply it to the underside of the lace, leave it on for about 15 minutes (actually after you put the bleach on the lace watch it) you can see the color changing when the color gets light enough usually maybe 8 to 15 minutes then it's done. Rinse out with cold water then shampoo it. If it doesn't come out light enough, you have the option of drying the hair and trying again or taking a "Sun-in" type hair lightening spray and spraying the knots and then hitting it with a blow dryer.
Furthermore, I would like to share that when I do bleach my wigs I have the wig extend a little bit into the roots Maybe a couple of millimeters. It looks much more natural if you do this because if you notice if you look at anybody's hair on their scalp the hair closest to the root is invisible so it's like their hair is not sprouting straight from the scalp. Go look at an actual scalp to see what I mean. Also, I feel recreating the "invisible" part of the hair draws the eye up and away from the lace grid.

2023.06.01 03:23 georgex7 Evil Forces are Stripping Technology from Our Spaces

Hey everyone -- I have written on this subreddit about quitting the internet, and recently there have been some encouraging developments with regards to limiting technology in certain spaces. Rather than take the traditional style of writing, I wrote the following piece sarcastically because it highlights the positive direction we are heading in as a culture while simultaneously highlighting the frustration I still feel with it. You can also read this here for different formatting as well as photos. --- Last week I found myself at a crossroads—taken and deposited there by a friend—and now I am left to think. Yohanna was the beginning of a problem because she brought me to a small street that cramped buildings squeeze together. In what could only have been a mistake of urban planning, there was no highway running through it—to the contrary it was shut down for antiquated sauntering over inefficient cobblestone that left a bitter taste in my mouth. On this little planet there were no skyscrapers and the air was arid from the dearth of infinity pools. All of the buildings were covered in chipped paint. We persevered and went on. A steep staircase led us to a room full of silvers who drank wine by the bottle, and to my dismay I noticed a few young couples driven by the desire to do something different, to feel the dying pulse of past generations. Things got worse. The club was decorated in the style of the 1920s, a time long before people were creative enough to think up the fruits that have paved society’s evolution to the present day. I did not see any flat screen televisions, there was no pedestal surrounded by mirrors to pose in front of, and the female attire neither adequately exposed the bust nor the curve. We persevered and went on. A little while later—after ordering a drink in an attempt to mainline some pleasure—a group of people made their way on-stage. They carried metal objects in their hands (one was even holding wooden sticks), and when they stood in front of the traditional red drapes I recognized from pictures, the crowd used their itchy hands to applaud instead of photograph, undoubtedly confusing the point of the matter. The group commenced and—against my wishes, only for the sake of journalistic integrity—I am forced to admit that for the time that they played time itself disappeared, swallowed by the whole audience’s undivided attention. But when I felt myself falling into too deep a state of immersion, I snapped back with a gleeful thought: the music was of an outdated sort known as jazz that not even Jesus himself could promulgate—there is no way to really dance to the stuff. § In retrospect the event was traumatic—to the point of requiring the requisite therapeutic intervention—because it reminded me of what we had a firm grip on only one or two decades ago. Then, the constraints of technology did not enable the populace to film entire concerts themselves, and the paupers did not have the ability to freeze the ephemeral moments we effortlessly make permanent. I have heard some state that the acme of culture and technology came right before the turn of the millennium, but on them I shine the simple irrefutable light at the end of man’s search for meaning: What is the point of living moments that our children cannot find in the fossils we create? There is none. We did not cross over the precipice into modernity because it was easy, but because it was hard. I have video footage of when I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I met the girl at the bar because I liked her story. I broadcasted to the world that I too saw the Mona Lisa. There is a different energy that blossoms in spaces where the only escape is into the activity, and we must prevent the wheels of culture from rolling back to a time where it is easily accessible. Such environments cannot be created alone because they require a widespread dedication to preserving an experience, so we must stand together to prevent them from occurring. Just as we use phone checks to crack the depth of conversation, we must block the passages to immersive fields that can only be entered with the entire group’s consent. Thankfully, to reach these rarefied realms requires both time as well as focus, so it is essential to use interruptions to break them with the force of detonating buildings. But as of late, I am growing worried. Historically, we have seen successful regulations reduce the prevalence of vital activities like cigarette smoking, and similar intervention is beginning again. Last week, the Surgeon General warned that social media poses a “profound risk” to the youth; earlier this month the American Psychological Association issued its first-ever health advisory on social media use; and next month Florida public schools are likely to block access to social media through their networks. On the cultural front, trendsetters are resurrecting film cameras alongside the vinyl record sales that keep on climbing—up another 20% in 2022 to the sickening tune of $1.2 billion. As I wrote in Keep Modernity, Exit the Metaverse—celebrities such as Aaron Paul and Aziz Ansari are endorsing base alternatives to smartphones that are without the frills that define our civilization; and—in what surely must be the work of propagandists—all sorts of research is indicating that humanity is unhappy with the current state of affairs: one poll claims that 70% of concertgoers do not think screens belong at concerts; another lies that 66% of people are turned off by texting on a date; a couple of charlatans state that phones make dinner more insipid. I am terrified. This sort of latent demand for change—this irreverent disappointment with the direction of our culture—is becoming more widespread. If one listens closely to the silence of our generation and studies the arc of history, a possibility emerges that we might only be living through a fantastic blip more akin to a short-term reaction to our wonderful developments than a calculated long-term adjustment. Musicians such as Tool and Placebo are designating specific areas for phones at their shows, and a nightclub called Berghain has instituted a backwards no-picture policy. The changes are coming fast and we must act get back on track. If we do not, college students might begin branding parties as phone-free, and museums might disallow them for one day each week. Restaurants may provide spaces to deposit devices, and bars could even go as far as recreating anachronistic booths. Before our very eyes they will redesign our establishments and create social stigmas that prevent our access to technology. We find ourselves at the beginning of a wave poised to fight splendor and replace it with soot. To prosper in modernity we must put a stop to the madness—before it is too late.

2023.06.01 03:21 Dad2BInsideU 28 [M4F] #Midwest- Dad looking for his little girl

A little bit about me in case you were wondering, I'm a bit of a nerd, a handy man, and a craftsman. I enjoy things from games, books, and movies; to gardening, sewing, and working in the forge. I bowl and swim and hike, but also just enjoy moonlit strolls and candle light baths. I suppose I'm a bit of a romantic.
When Im not working, I'm usually tending to the house, got that homesteader mentality. Really like the self sufficiency and being an independent concept. I've a soft spot for cottage and fairy tale style cabin concepts, take me to the ren fair and watch me giggle like a school girl.
What I'm looking for is a girl who is honest and open, but caring. I know that seems to be hard to find in both guys and girls, but I promise we are out there. I'm a family oriented type, so I hope you are ok with the idea of having kids. Hardworking, big dreams, and a heart so big you have trouble keeping it inside.
If you think that might be you come say hello.

2023.06.01 03:21 Leopard89 A sign or am I just seeing things?

So just as a simple straight to the point summary, I was looking at the clouds for a moment outside of a window, and after a few seconds I noticed that I saw them flashing. Not from lighting or anything, as we aren't going to get a rain or storm in a long time here. I looked at a nearby tree and it wasn't flashing, and so I thought it was my pupils pulsing from the sun reflecting off the clouds. I took a video of my pupils while seeing the phenomena and they were still, no movement. I decided to give it a rest and come back a few minutes later, and I was still seeing flashes, but the cloud had emerged and shifted from behind the treeline and looked like a dragon flying, tail curled down, no legs. Not sure what this means or if my eyes were just freaking out, so I wanted some insight, thanks in advance. If its relevant, it was between 6 and 7 pm, on a Wednesday.

2023.06.01 03:20 KaySen762 Theory (contains light spoilers for episode 7)

Thought I would expand my theory and put it in a post. I believe the town underwent some nuclear testing in the 40s, and like the atom, was split into parts. The residents there went into a quantum state of neither being alive or dead and eventually ended up as the monsters we see now. Their clothes are from the 40s and they seemed to be dressed in uniforms that match the remaining buildings. A waitress from the diner, a gas station attendant, a wealthy man wearing a bow tie who most likely owned colony house. After the event they moved underground to avoid radiation perhaps, that is why they seem to have some personal belongings under there.
Nothing has changed since Victor was a child. Perhaps time moved forward for a period, but nothing has changed in 30+ years. Here is a shot from Victor as a child and here is a shot recently. You can see the bush and grass out front of the post office is exactly the same. The blue metal mailbox should have rusted completely within that time. The buildings look the same as well.
There are quite a few missing buildings such as the motel. There was an aerial photo of the town posted (which I can’t find now) where there were bits of driveways but no houses there. So chances are the town was split in half. But another interesting thing is that there is some long grass where the motel would have been. So it wasn’t always frozen like this, and time did move forward for a short period. I think one of the original people (now turned into monsters) got pregnant after the event, so time moved forward till the child was born (possibly that boy in white). Since time seems to be moving forward again now since the leaves are falling, which hasn’t happened in Victor’s time there (this is a bit of a spoiler that will be revealed next episode), it is because Fatima is pregnant.
I think there was a scientist who was in the town during the event and that is who was performing experiments on Martin with the bloodworms. I don’t think he was looking for a way to kill the monsters (I suspect he is a monster as well) but rather just kept doing experiments like he did when he was alive. Martin should have been dead a long time ago it seems. They create immortality in humans but death in the monsters. It puts humans in a quantum state of being neither alive or dead and monsters out of a quantum state making them dead. It could possibly make them alive as well, but that probably requires that they would be alive in the present day if nothing had happened.
The symbols the monsters have in their tunnels and the one jade keeps seeing I think are road overlays. The monsters at first tried to find a way out because for a time I think they were human while one was pregnant. That idea came from this post. The talismans symbols don’t do anything at all, just represent what happened to them being in two states, but the type of rock they are on is what gives them power. Also the voice they heard on the radio I believe came from people who are trapped in the other half of the town elsewhere and are entangled with this part of the town.

2023.06.01 03:20 Dazshard93 Help setting up a steady state thermal analysis on a heat sink for an LED

As the title says, I am trying to run a simulation on a heat sink for work. I am only interested in the final temperature (equilibrium temperature) of the heat sink, given the LED as a head source. I know the LED requires 6.1 W and this is turned into both heat and light. I am designing for the worst outcome which is 100% heat generation from power. Basically, I just want to know any tips about how to set this up or something I could be missing. We have a heat probe and heat sink being tested physically and the data isn’t matching up well (physical test is much higher).

2023.06.01 03:20 boredhoneycomb Turning down an offer - should I? What would you do?

I have two exciting offers to consider - an interesting opportunity as an STO 15 vs a non-gov field biologist position in the industry. I would genuinely love to do either role and both offer such different experiences that I would be thrilled to pursue. Weighing these two very different roles has been difficult, and I wish I could do both!
Ultimately, I think I'm going to go to with the biologist role. It will really round-out my skillset, build up my background, and (hopefully!!!) my experiences as one would translate well to a potential future career in the BCPS or other government role.
Am I a complete fool for letting this BCPS opportunity slip away? And - because I am curious about what folks at BCPS think about this situation - what would you do if you were in a similar situation at the start of your career? Or, what do you wish you would have done?
(I'm being detail-light here, but because it may be important for some people to provide insight - the biologist role has much worse benefits than the BCPS role would as I enter this position - room for growth leading to a decent slate of benefits, but I don't believe a pension or anything like that. It's not the most important thing for me at this time, but I know it's something that really matters to a lot of folks!)

2023.06.01 03:19 Character-Macaron-57 Building web front end for SAS/R/Python programs, the easy way

ABSTRACT
BatchSubmit is a web based application that provides a simple and effective way to build web fronts for SAS, R,and Python programs developed in the conventional environment. The system employs CGI (Perl) technology to deliver web-based functionality in a consistent manner. The directory structure of the underlying operating system (Windows or UNIX) is built into the application. It also employs clickable icons for parameter files that store parameter values, which can be modified and saved. This paper is targeted at SAS/Python programmers who are interested in expanding the usage of their SAS/Python programs to non-SAS users, as well as managing SAS/Python scripts in an efficient and intuitive way.

INTRODUCTION

SAS/Pyhton has long been a programmer’s tool. SAS/Python programs developed by programmers are usually used by their developers or others who have at least some basic knowledge of the SAS environment. In real world situations, such as within a drug development team at a pharmaceutical or biotech company, not all members have the necessary SAS knowledge. They must rely on SAS programmers to execute the programs for them. This often creates an extra layer of task handoff, which can result in miscommunication. It also reduces efficiency and causes delays.
CASPER allows users to execute SAS/Python programs directly from the web, with no SAS knowledge required. Since it employs the directory structure of the underlying operating system (Windows or UNIX), it inherits the look and feel of the Windows File Browser, which users are already familiar with. Very little, if any, training is needed before users can start to use the application.
What is unique about this application is that it separates the development of the web front from the development of SAS/Python programs. It utilizes existing SAS/Python programs as they are with little or with minimal modification and adds a front-end to make it web accessible in a standardized manner. Between the SAS/Python program and end user, is a parameter file, which is accessible from the web browser, that stores the values for the parameters. Users can modify these values and save for later use, or save with a different name to create a new parameter file.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION

Web Server:

Perl was chosen to develop the CGI (Common Gateway Interface) programs, because of its wide availability on Unix and Windows at no cost. In addition, since it is the scripting language that many programmers use to automate the execution of their SAS programs, there are plenty of technical resources available for maintenance and customization requirements.
Five Perl modules have been designed to work together within BatchSubmit:
Main: This is the directory navigator, working similar to the Windows File Browser. It allows user to navigate through directories to get to the work area where program files (actually the parameter files) reside.
Ctrl: The role of this module is to open the parameter file in Par format, which encapsulates the parameter values required to run a program (for example, a SAS macro call, to be more specific). When the user clicks on the parameter file icon, the Ctrl module parses the parameter names and values and display on the web browser as a form on the fly. Users can modify the parameter values, save the values to the original file or to a new file, or click the “exec” button to execute the program with the parameters currently supplied from the web.
Exec: This module performs two different tasks, depending on the user action. When the user clicks the “save as” button on the form, it saves the parameter values into the specified file, which can be used later; or when the user clicks the “exec” button on the form, it saves the parameters in a temp file, and creates a task file which is a command to run the specified SAS program.
This module is not responsible for the execution of the SAS program. That job is performed by a daemon on the application server where SAS/Python is installed.
View: This module enables the user to view the contents of log files, output files, etc.
Task: This module lets the user monitor the status of submitted tasks.

Application Server:

SAS/Python is installed on the application server along with connectivity components that are also installed to allow SAS to access databases through views, and send emails.
A daemon, Cspr, runs on the server nonstop, checking for the existence of the task file created by the Exec module on the web server side. If the task file does not exist, which means no task has been submitted, it goes back to sleep for a short period of time (usually from a fraction of a second to a few seconds, to reduce CPU load), then wakes up and checks again. When it detects the existence of the task file, it will read its contents, then execute the command to run the SAS/Python program. The SAS/Python program, includes the temporary parm file created by Exec. The SAS/Python program performs its designated duty and creates a log file and output files. When the SAS/Python program is completed, it deletes the task file and temp parm file and the process starts over again.

2023.06.01 03:19 takeaabreath Anyone struggle to stay consistent with exercising during hell week?

For the last couple years, I’ve found myself more focused on my health and staying physically active. On a normal day, I’m very dedicated to it.
During PMDD- all that motivation literally flies out the window.
Do I still push myself to workout even on the harder days? Yes. Does it happen every single day? No.
The inconsistency is killing me. Please tell me I’m not the only one who takes an unintentional break from exercise in the days before your period?
I always feel major guilt for this because I try so hard to be as active as I can every day. It kills my confidence during this time, too.

I finally did it! I met this sexy thing a few night ago. 3h for 400. Pretty fair I think. Anyways she was sucking me off for a 10 min or so and said fuck me, rolled over and opened her legs. I was like, yeah baby! No condoms or anything around so it’s good to go. I was pumping away for a few min and asked her if she wanted me to cum inside her? She gave me the green light and my #1 bucket list is crossed off. Yes! It was so amazing. We fucked again about 30 min later and I absolutely drilled her in prone doggy and shot another load in her tight pussy. I hope we will continue this, and I’d become a regular cause she is a great fuck and a whole lot of fun.
