Once released, Mega Tyranitar will become #1 Dark and #1 Rock, both in solo performance (though Mega Diancie will be better), and especially in group damage contribution due to its bulk. Dark or Rock? Save 1 non-shadow of each for the mega, then: Shadow Dark > Shadow Rock > Regular Dark = Hydreigon > Regular Rock.
IntroductionAt the start of the Season of Hidden Gems, we got our seasonal Go Battle League move update. As part of the update, Tyranitar can now learn Brutal Swing as part of its regular, non-legacy moveset, using a Regular Charged TM.Additionally, the season website has (accidentally?) revealed that Mega Tyranitar will make its debut in Mega Raids from July 25 to August 4 (full schedule on Go Hub). A detailed look at the website's source code also shows Mega Sableye release from June 29 to July 6. When I previously wrote about Tyranitar for its Community Day Classic in January, my tone was rather bleak, as regular Tyranitar had already fallen way below the tier lists of both rock and dark attackers. Quoted from the TL;DR back then: Unless you missed December CD, relax - 2023 is not 2018. Regular Tyranitar is not a must-have anymore.But that was when Tyranitar's dark moveset was Bite/Crunch, both being mediocre to bad moves. Now, Tyranitar can instead use Brutal Swing, a borderline overpowered (OP) move designed for Hydreigon to shine on its Community Day a year ago. Does Brutal Swing help both regular and Shadow Tyranitar restore its 2017 glory? How will Mega Tyranitar (and Mega Sableye) perform in raids once they arrive? I'll address these questions with the following parts:

A legacy fast move - why each Tyranitar can't double dutyA minor note that should be obvious for veteran players, but still useful to point out.To function as a rock type, Tyranitar needs Smack Down, a legacy fast move. This means you can't build a single Tyranitar and TM back and forth between dark and rock movesets. An individual Tyranitar is locked in as either a rock type or a dark type, not both. This may force you to build twice as many Tyranitars as you normally would - a dark team and a rock team - if necessary. Do note that you will be able to get Smack Down by evolution during December 2023 Community Day, without needing an Elite Fast TM. And if you really want to, you can TM a Smack Down Tyranitar to Bite. It's a one-way street: Rock -> Dark is a yes, Dark -> Rock is a no (or at least expensive). Part 1: Tyranitar as a Dark Attacker[Part 1 TL;DR] Shadow Tyranitar redefines the Dark/Ghost meta, being at Mega Gengar tier, and L30 Shadow Ttar = L50 other options. It's now a Tier 1 shadow in utility across all types.Regular Tyranitar is virtually the same as Hydreigon, mayyybe 1% worse and typing-dependent. Mega Tyranitar is also at Mega Gengar tier, and will likely be the choice for a Dark/Ghost Mega from now on. Dark and Ghost attackers ranked by their average in-raid performance, using ASE and ASTTW. Charts of ASE with and without dodging are here. Brutal Swing is a HUGE upgrade on Tyranitar: an 18% improvement, almost the same as shadow vs. non-shadow, and enough to cross several tiers.
Shadow Tyranitar (Dark)'s Incredible Utility[Section TL;DR] Due to the high utility of dark/ghost types (many bosses to use them against), Shadow Tyranitar is now one of the most useful raid attackers across all types. This will remain the case even after most future shadows (including shadow legendaries) are released. A solid Tier 1 shadow for raiding.I've always treated dark and ghost types as "one" of the most useful types for raiding, if not the most useful. Their main roles are anti-psychic and anti-ghost, and it happens that there's a crazy number of psychic-type T5 bosses (perhaps the most common type among legendaries). Back when I wrote the Shadow Mewtwo analysis in January, I defined a "Strength and Utility" (S&U) metric, which combines individual powers of raid attackers with the number of raids they can be used against. For example, Shadow Mewtwo as a psychic type doesn't do too well, because psychic attackers are rarely needed. With all expected future Gen 1-5 shadows at that time - which included Shadow Hydreigon, but not Shadow Tyranitar with Brutal Swing - the metric looked like this: Strength and Utility (S&U) metric with Gen 1-5 shadows in January 2023. \"(Shadow) Hydreigon\" on this chart is a close approximation for Shadow Tyranitar with Brutal Swing. Treat the "Hyderigon" on the chart as Shadow Tyranitar. That means... Shadow Tyranitar (dark) is one of the most useful raid attackers - #1 by the S&U metric. Both right now, and in a future where all Gen 1-5 shadows are released. The incredibly powerful (future) shadow legendaries that you're thinking of: Shadow Mewtwo, Groudon, Rayquaza, Terrakion... In terms of utility, they all pale in comparison to Shadow Tyranitar.
Comparisons: Mega & Shadow Tyranitar, and Mega Gengar[Section TL;DR] Mega > Shadow Ttar. Mega Gengar technically "wins" more often than both (and still has the highest DPS/TTW), but it's very unreliable, and when it fails, it fails very badly.Mega Tyranitar vs. Shadow Tyranitar vs. Mega Gengar (L40 best friends) Mega Tyranitar vs. Mega Gengar: (Individual power, without damage boosting)
Shadow Tyranitar vs. Mega Gengar:
Comparisons: Regular Tyranitar vs. Hydreigon and others[Section TL;DR] Hydreigon is technically still better, but only by 1%, and basically typing-dependent. Tyranitar outclasses most other options, arguably except Shadow Weavile.Tyranitar vs. other similar Dark and Ghost attackers (L40 best friends) Everything listed here used to be the "golden standard" for dark and ghost. Now, even non-shadow Tyranitar at least puts up a fight, if not straight up outclasses them. (Recall that Shadow Tyranitar is above all of them by 18%.) Starting with Tyranitar vs. Hydreigon, as it's the most relevant pair.
Tyranitar basically outclasses the rest (Darkrai, Giratina-O, Chandelure, Gholdengo), aside from typing disadvantages, such as Focus Blast Mewtwo. Dark and Ghost-type Mega Comparisons[Section TL;DR] Mega Tyranitar > all dark megas, and > Mega Gengar unless everyone else uses ghost. Mega Sableye disappoints.Comparison of dark- and ghost-type megas, in terms of damage up to a fixed time frame (relative to the no-mega baseline). Big type icons denote attackers that other raiders use. As usual, this chart looks at the question "which mega contributes the most damage to the group", accounting for both its own damage output and its mega boost to other raiders. Note that Primal Kyogre/Groudon in the 6th slot may still be the best way to contribute damage (method explained in my Mega Pinsir analysis). If you don't want to "use" a Primal... Yes, Mega Tyranitar will outclass all Dark-type Megas on all fronts - in both power (Houndoom) and group boosting (Gyarados). Comparing to Mega Gengar:
Part 2: Mega Tyranitar as a Rock Attacker[Part 2 TL;DR] Mega Tyranitar's individual power is barely above Mega Aerodactyl (current best rock type), and slightly below Mega Diancie. However, its superior bulk makes it the best mega for contributing damage in group raids.Rock attackers ranked by their average in-raid performance, using ASE and ASTTW. Charts of ASE with and without dodging are here. In individual power, Mega Tyranitar is the best rock attacker, being better than Mega Aerodactyl... But just barely.

In particular, Shadow Rhyperior and Shadow Rampardos. My (f26) best friend (f26) "Taylor" and I have been best friends for about 3 years; we met at work. We became close very quickly. Taylor has a husband (boyfriend when we met) "Jesse". Almost a year into our friendship Jesse proposed to Taylor and they decided they wanted to try to have a baby before the wedding. I was very supportive of their decision and was there for them during her entire pregnancy. I was so excited to be an "auntie", which they graciously granted me the title. My love language is gift giving and I do it purely out of love, not expecting gifts in return. Since the beginning of her pregnancy until this last time seeing her, I had gotten Taylor and her baby lots of items (diapers, clothes, toys, handmade blankets) out of the love I had for them; nothing crazy expensive or inappropriate. Right after the baby was born (about a week), Taylor, Jesse and baby moved across the country for Jesse's continuing education/job. Taylor and I vowed to make our friendship work long distance. Three months later was their wedding. I was hurt because I was not asked to be a bridesmaid, though there were more groomsmen than bridesmaids. Instead, very last minute I was asked to carry the baby down the aisle and I was so excited for my "special job". Things did not go as planned that wedding weekend. The other bridesmaids were very rude to me, not wanting to include me in wedding party activities, and literally taking the baby out of my arms, though I was willing to share them any time. I was supposed to walk the baby down the aisle with the rings but when we lined up, a bridesmaid took the rings out of my hands agressivly and gave them to the best man. I had taken care of the baby all day while the wedding party was getting ready and also had gotten the baby ready (dressed, changed, fed). After I got the baby ready, I took him for wedding party pictures, in which I was wasn't allowed to participate in. There actually aren't any pictures of Taylor and I from her wedding. I watched the baby til the babysitter came and got him at the reception, this was the plan so we could all enjoy the reception like adults. A little later Taylor then asked me if I would stop drinking and watch the baby overnight for them because the night babysitter backed out. She didn't ask family (her sober mom) or her bridesmaids (one pregnant/sober). At first I was honored to be asked, but it really was a change of plan. Being the sober one, I ended up taking on responsibilities that shouldn't have been on me. This included getting a very intoxicated guest out of the reception venue nicely because the bar staff was threatening to call the police on the girl causing a scene. I didn't want Taylor to have this memory of her wedding so I got the girl a ride home even though she screamed at me and threw wine on me, all without Taylor knowing. I also had to give first aid to a guest that slipped and fell. I ended up driving the very drunk bride and groom back to the hotel and picked up the baby. The bridesmaids were nowhere to be found to help during any of this. I never explained my frustration to Taylor, because that day wasn't about me and I moved on (my own fault for not ever telling her). Fast forward three months after the wedding and I fly across the country to visit them. For the most part we had a great time and did lots of activities, always busy and fun. The only "red flag" was when Taylor and Jesse propositioned me to join them in the bedroom, to which I politely set a boundary and declined. According to Taylor, Jesse was "very bummed" that I said no. Everything was fine and Taylor and I continued our long distance friendship.
****Fast forward another 6 months from then and I am going out again to see them for the baby's first birthday. I arrive and the whole vibe is just off but I'm determined to have a good time. Taylor doesn't seem to want to do much and takes the baby to daycare a lot while I was there even though she didn't have to work (I didn't care if he was with us). As a birthday present to her and the baby, I wanted to take them on a day trip to Disney (not far from them at all). We had dicussed this plan for a long time and Taylor at least claimed to be excited. I paid for the tickets with fast passes and parking, again just wanting to spend time with them, not expecting anything in return. We had everything ready to go for the morning we left because we wanted to get there early. We ended up there late, which is not a big deal, it takes longer with a baby. We get to the park and it is already decently busy. After we eat a sit down breakfast at Taylor's insistence, we get in line for a ride. We ended up riding 2 baby friendly rides and then she and I rode one "adult" ride with rider swap for the baby. After the third ride (we have maybe been there at most 3 hours) and she states out of nowhere that she thinks the baby is done and they should go home, after i had already booked the next ride. I was floored because everything was fine I myself had just fed and changed the baby who was content. Taylor said I could stay if I wanted and Jesse would pick me up later. So I was left alone at Disney ALL day. I was very disappointed, but again said nothing in the moment. After running all over the park all day, Taylor still wanted to do "girl's night out" that evening so we went out. At the restaurant I was on SC taking pics of the balive music, snapping my bf, when she took my hand and said "babe you're here to see me, you need to put your phone away". I felt like a little kid in trouble. So I apologize and put my phone up. We go to another bar across the street for the rest of the night where I order a drink infused with absinthe. I had never had it before and wanted to try it but I didn't want Taylor "mothering" or "griping" at me so I didn't tell her and got her a regular drink. Also i was already mad and didnt think it was any of her business what i was drinking as long as it's legal and we have a ride. Later that night we were about to get an Uber back and Taylor's phone is almost dead at 3AM. So I messaged Jesse and told him that we would be back soon and that I had absinthe but that i didn't tell Taylor. There was nothing else in the message and I have never sent him any sort of flirty or inappropriate message before, and never would. Taylor ends up being very controlling the rest of the trip and I couldn't wait to get home in a couple of days. Once home a couple of days Taylor calls me and starts going off on me about messaging Jesse the night were were out. I told her I was sorry for lying to her about the absinthe and sorry if I made her feel uncomfortable messaging him, not my intent at all. I also told her it was in no way meant to be flirty or even sneaky and really not even to do with him. I was intoxicated and wanted to tell someone I drank absinthe and I knew I wouldnt be in trouble with him and was already telling him we were safe and on the way home. She is still yelling so I hang up. I then procede to text her with a calm, well thought out text and tell her I had a bad time out there and how disappointed I was with the Disney thing, but was nice about it and even apologized again for my phone and messgaing Jesse. I didn't take any low blows or call names or anything like that. I hear nothing at all for 2 weeks (longest we've ever gone without talking) and spend 3 therapy sessions trying to work through this. My therapist said it sounds like an unhealthy relationship and it may be time to end it. My therapist also said I wasn't inappropriate and was confused herself. I wrote Taylor a nice, long, no blame, email telling her that I think we have changed and that I was thankful for her friendship but that we probably shouldn't be friends anymore. I again apologized for any hurt I had caused her unknowingly and told her I hope she has a happy/healthy life and id always care about the baby. I get an email back fairly quickly that essentially turned everything around onto me. Saying things like "you don't know how to communicate your needs ", how upset still she was about me being on my phone because she wanted quality time with me (but left me at disney??), "youve been having a rough year and youre taking it out on me" (blaming it on a trauma from a year ago), "you over extend yourself with the gifts", and how she couldn't trust me with Jesse (and how lucky she is that hes so "honest"). She never once apologized for leaving Disney, being weirdly controlling, or ANY of the other ways she hurt me. I have not responded to this email and don't plan to do so because it would just turn nasty and i dont want that, i just want to be done with the friendship. AITA for ending the friendship?

After I got the baby ready, I took him for wedding party pictures, in which I was wasn't allowed to participate in. There actually aren't any pictures of Taylor and I from her wedding. I watched the baby til the babysitter came and got him at the reception, this was the plan so we could all enjoy the reception like adults. A little later Taylor then asked me if I would stop drinking and watch the baby overnight for them because the night babysitter backed out. She didn't ask family (her sober mom) or her bridesmaids (one pregnant/sober). At first I was honored to be asked, but it really was a change of plan. Being the sober one, I ended up taking on responsibilities that shouldn't have been on me. This included getting a very intoxicated guest out of the reception venue nicely because the bar staff was threatening to call the police on the girl causing a scene. I didn't want Taylor to have this memory of her wedding so I got the girl a ride home even though she screamed at me and threw wine on me, all without Taylor knowing. I also had to give first aid to a guest that slipped and fell. I ended up driving the very drunk bride and groom back to the hotel and picked up the baby. The bridesmaids were nowhere to be found to help during any of this. I never explained my frustration to Taylor, because that day wasn't about me and I moved on (my own fault for not ever telling her). Fast forward three months after the wedding and I fly across the country to visit them. For the most part we had a great time and did lots of activities, always busy and fun. The only "red flag" was when Taylor and Jesse propositioned me to join them in the bedroom, to which I politely set a boundary and declined. According to Taylor, Jesse was "very bummed" that I said no. Everything was fine and Taylor and I continued our long distance friendship.
****Fast forward another 6 months from then and I am going out again to see them for the baby's first birthday. I arrive and the whole vibe is just off but I'm determined to have a good time. Taylor doesn't seem to want to do much and takes the baby to daycare a lot while I was there even though she didn't have to work (I didn't care if he was with us). As a birthday present to her and the baby, I wanted to take them on a day trip to Disney (not far from them at all). We had dicussed this plan for a long time and Taylor at least claimed to be excited. I paid for the tickets with fast passes and parking, again just wanting to spend time with them, not expecting anything in return. We had everything ready to go for the morning we left because we wanted to get there early. We ended up there late, which is not a big deal, it takes longer with a baby. We get to the park and it is already decently busy. After we eat a sit down breakfast at Taylor's insistence, we get in line for a ride. We ended up riding 2 baby friendly rides and then she and I rode one "adult" ride with rider swap for the baby. After the third ride (we have maybe been there at most 3 hours) and she states out of nowhere that she thinks the baby is done and they should go home, after i had already booked the next ride. I was floored because everything was fine I myself had just fed and changed the baby who was content. Taylor said I could stay if I wanted and Jesse would pick me up later. So I was left alone at Disney ALL day. I was very disappointed, but again said nothing in the moment. After running all over the park all day, Taylor still wanted to do "girl's night out" that evening so we went out. At the restaurant I was on SC taking pics of the balive music, snapping my bf, when she took my hand and said "babe you're here to see me, you need to put your phone away". I felt like a little kid in trouble. So I apologize and put my phone up. We go to another bar across the street for the rest of the night where I order a drink infused with absinthe. I had never had it before and wanted to try it but I didn't want Taylor "mothering" or "griping" at me so I didn't tell her and got her a regular drink. Also i was already mad and didnt think it was any of her business what i was drinking as long as it's legal and we have a ride. Later that night we were about to get an Uber back and Taylor's phone is almost dead at 3AM. So I messaged Jesse and told him that we would be back soon and that I had absinthe but that i didn't tell Taylor. There was nothing else in the message and I have never sent him any sort of flirty or inappropriate message before, and never would. Taylor ends up being very controlling the rest of the trip and I couldn't wait to get home in a couple of days. Once home a couple of days Taylor calls me and starts going off on me about messaging Jesse the night were were out. I told her I was sorry for lying to her about the absinthe and sorry if I made her feel uncomfortable messaging him, not my intent at all. I also told her it was in no way meant to be flirty or even sneaky and really not even to do with him. I was intoxicated and wanted to tell someone I drank absinthe and I knew I wouldnt be in trouble with him and was already telling him we were safe and on the way home. She is still yelling so I hang up. I then procede to text her with a calm, well thought out text and tell her I had a bad time out there and how disappointed I was with the Disney thing, but was nice about it and even apologized again for my phone and messgaing Jesse. I didn't take any low blows or call names or anything like that. I hear nothing at all for 2 weeks (longest we've ever gone without talking) and spend 3 therapy sessions trying to work through this. My therapist said it sounds like an unhealthy relationship and it may be time to end it. My therapist also said I wasn't inappropriate and was confused herself. I wrote Taylor a nice, long, no blame, email telling her that I think we have changed and that I was thankful for her friendship but that we probably shouldn't be friends anymore. I again apologized for any hurt I had caused her unknowingly and told her I hope she has a happy/healthy life and id always care about the baby. I get an email back fairly quickly that essentially turned everything around onto me. Saying things like "you don't know how to communicate your needs ", how upset still she was about me being on my phone because she wanted quality time with me (but left me at disney??), "youve been having a rough year and youre taking it out on me" (blaming it on a trauma from a year ago), "you over extend yourself with the gifts", and how she couldn't trust me with Jesse (and how lucky she is that hes so "honest"). She never once apologized for leaving Disney, being weirdly controlling, or ANY of the other ways she hurt me. I have not responded to this email and don't plan to do so because it would just turn nasty and i dont want that, i just want to be done with the friendship. AITA for ending the friendship?

(Warning, super long post incoming)
Ok, humour me, this is a rant I'm releasing on the story of FGO, now that I've finally managed to finish all the story up until LB 5.2(I haven't done Heiyan-kyo yet, gonna do that one later, after LB6).
So uh yeah, I managed to complete it all, all up until Olympus, and here are my thoughts on everything.(My thoughts on Arc 2 are especially controversial I think).
Definitely nice, it improved quite a lot, went from just a boring plot thread meant to get us from fight to fight, to an honestly unteresting story, with great character writing and genuine themes.
In terms of Arc 1, I'd obviously say the last three singularities were the best, and of them I honestly preferred Babylonia the most, followed by Camelot, followed by Temple of Time.
I think Arc 1 had some nice stuff in it, it was a cool introduction, and the first four singularities were a frankly great way to lower my standards right before hitting me with some genuinely good content in the form of Camelot and Babylonia.
For me, Babylonia was the best singularity as it was honestly the best combination of both story and presentation. It had both story chapters, awesome music, great presentation, the inclusion of field effects, and just some really fun gameplay. That's nothing to say of the story itself either of course, which really hyped me up, made me appreciate Gilgamesh, made me laugh, and also genuinely made me gape in awe at a few scenes, so yeah, it was certainly one of the best ones.
Now, Arc 1.5 was also pretty special, my personal favourite singularity here was Shimousa with Shinjiku at a close second. I mean, I really like them both, and both had some really cool stuff in them, but Shimousa still took the cake because of some stuff-
For one, Shimousa had a really kickass soundtrack, it introduced Blood Wind, Unalloyed Blade Works etc. It also had a really cool asthetic, and an awesome concept too, it had a surprising amount of cinematography in it's finale, and let's not forget some incredible scenes like the Tsumukari Muramasa and A DUEL BETWEEN MIYAMOTO MUSASHI AND SASAKI KOJIRO(seriously, unbelievably hype.)
And finally, when we get to Arc 2, the lostbelt continuum, I get a lot of my hot takes ready, and detailed explanations to go with them.
For one, I gotta preface by saying that I was kinda dissapointed by Olympus, like, it had great presentation, but story wise, it was actually super dry right up until the finale. Like it was basically just us slowly fighting all the gods, and while the fights were really hard(F*ck you Demeter), it was honestly kinda dissapointing how little good story content there was right up until the finale. And don't get me wrong, that final stretch is great, it's really awesome and had tons of really cool moments, but in the end, one good final section just isn't enough to completely make up for a kinda boring start and mid way point. Also that final showdown with Zeus was... really bad, like god awful.
Firstly Zeus's design was not intimidating, the music was underwhelming, and his voice was ridiculous, like really though, I spent all that time thinking that Zeus had a heavy and intimidating voice, his actual voice was just dumb, like it genuinly really threw me for a loop, but uh, I digress.
With all that said, my two favourite lostbelts were 100% Yugakurukshetra and Atlantis, LB 4 and 5.
But uh, I was surprised to find LB 4 to be... well really underrated, like huh, I LOVED LB 4, I genuinly thought it found a fantastic balance between presentation and story, with both it's presentation and story being amazing, and I'ma be honest, NOTHING, has hyped me up more than that final fight between Karna and Arjuna. And Nothing has topped the sheer gameplay satisfacton I got after soloing Godjuna with Super Karna.
But also, uh, I really don't see a lot of LB 4 love online, most people just kinda ignore it, and most of the time, people prefer everything over it, even Olympus, and some really average stuff. Like, it genuinly surprised me.
The best guess I can give as to why LB 4 is so under-appreciated as compared to everything else, is just because no one really knows much about the Mahabharata I guess, I mean, I can understand that, since the Mahabharata is really friggin long, and also an entirely Hindu religious text, so I can see why people wouldn't quite understand the significance of KARNA AND ARJUNA HAVING A REMATCH(and here I thought that Musashi v/s Kojiro would be difficult to top in hype).
Also, uh, maybe the LB is difficult to understand and appreciate if you don't have experience with the Mahabharata? It never felt that way to me, but I already know plenty about the Mahabharata, so I don't exactly think I can be a fair judge of that metric.
But all that aside, LB 4 was fantastic, it had incredibly hype moments sure, but it also had good writing, Arjuna's breakdown makes a lot of sense, and our entire conflict with him had some really good themes and questions about what it means to be a god, what makes a god, and divinity in general.
Furthur in the good writing department, Lakshmi Bai was a really cool representation of survivors guilt, and was just in general a really cool character, especially considering that she was a real person and a real freedom fighter.
And of course, poor Ganesha/Jinako who had to put up with the most pain and bullcrap out of everyone, and really put up with some genuine torture for everyone's sake.
I also found the whole gifted divinities thing to be a really interesting concept, alongside all the ensuing chaos with the time travel stuff to be suitably awesome, and what really can be said about that epic finale, other than that it gave goosebumps in a way nothing from FGO ever has.(Seriously, I'm really curious to see if FGO can pull out a fight that tops the sheer magnitude of a rematch between Karna and Arjuna).
Of course, that only leaves me with Atlantis to discuss, which yeah, was really nice, I really found Atlantis to have one of the most distinct atmospheres in FGO, like, it FELT different, it seemed a lot more chill somehow, a lot more focused on characters and comedy, but also some really touching and heartwarming stuff.
Now, I have my personal gripes with the story here as well, for one, a lot of it just felt like running around island to island, collecting power-ups and equipment, the 'story' in this case was very barebones, but that was made up for by the fact that Atlantis really seems to put a huge focus on it's characters, seriously, everyone fits really well.
All the characters in this one are awesome, and I really mean it, Achilles proves why he is one of the greatest heros of all time by holding off an entire army AND Chiron, despite being shot in the heel and losing both his Armor and Shield, still does spectacularly. Orion really pulled of something really sweet and honsestly heartwarming with his final game plan, meanwhile Jason was the true MVP of this lostbelt.
Seriously though, Jason was fantastic, this lostbelt did something I couldn't have expected ever, it made me genuinely like Jason. Like legit though, Jason is goddamn hilarious, he is so crazily aware of, and traumatized by his source material that I often found myself laughing at some of his comments, pieces of advice, and confessions of trauma.
Personally i didn't actually care much about Charolette, and the romance between her and our MC, I just wasn't that invested, it didn't exactly have a fantastic build up, a cool end ig, but I just didn't care too much, it was decent, just average.
I personally think it would have been much better if it focused slightly more on Orion and Artemis's romance, but hey, the LB was still pretty good.
And that about concludes my thoughts. I have a lot more on my mind of course, and a lot more I can talk about, but for now I think I'll just leave it that.

I know a lot of times there are confessions and posts in this sub that seem completely outlandish and perhaps they are works of fiction, but this is 1000% true - I swear it from the bottom of my soul. I just had the absolute longest conversation I’ve ever had in my life with someone I only met once, and it is a complete mindfuck. Not only did we meet on a very unconventional dating app, we met under an extreme circumstance, and since then we have been inseparable on the phone and video chat. I know many people have experienced this as well, but have you ever literally been texting someone since 7 AM until a phone call at 2 PM that lasted until midnight the same day? We shared the most intimate details from our personal romantic, lives to deep-seeded family related traumas, and even some zodiac/ mystical findings that explain why we have so much in common and Click so well? We’ve only had one date, he is divorced, and I am on the precipice of it. I am not exaggerating when I say our connection is surreal and I just wonder if anybody has experienced something like this? If so, please share. Thank in advance for reading and believing that sometimes we meet people when we put ourselves out there and the universe answers our needs?!… A Reason a season or a lifetime? I’m not sure -but I hope for a lifetime, I know I will put in the work and I just hope he does too…

Oh man. Here comes a long one. I’m a M24 “dating” a F38, I put it in quotes because we are not officially boyfriend/girlfriend.
Where do I start-We’ve been seeing each other for about 4 months now. Not sure the comparison to other peoples’ norms but this is the longest I’ve exclusively seen someone without being officially together-usually 2-ish months of talking stage. We both are coming out of 4-year relationships and we‘ve agreed multiple times that this is the healthiest relationship either of us have had-honest, communicative, etc.
However, for possibly a lot of reasons or just one, she doesn’t want to be official. About 3 weeks into us seeing each other she explained her last relationship really messed her up-for legitimate reasons from what I’ve heard-and wasn’t ready for another relationship yet. I told her I understood and that it was okay, we could still see each other and be casual if that’s what she wanted-but we both caught feelings for each other the more we hung out. She admitted first.
So after about 2.5 months i told her how i felt very strongly for her and wanted to be with her etc etc-and asked her if she was ready-but she said no, but her reasoning was specifically “i know I can’t treat you and be there for you how i want to be right now”. For what it’s worth she’s been nothing but honest about even negative things up till now, so I don’t know why she would lie if it wasn’t really that. Regardless, i told her that she was worth waiting for (i know, just shhhh) and told her that since she knows i want to date her now that when she is ready, she has to be the one to ask me.
We’re at about 4 months, still exclusively seeing each other multiple times most weeks but not officially together. We act like a couple in basically every way, holding hands in public, going on dates, sleeping over at each others houses,etc. Am I being played? Is she genuinely just trying to get better FOR me? I have no idea. When I asked about our age difference, and 1-10 how much it bothered her, she said that it was a 5. She said she was not ever embarrassed by me though meeting friends/family. I’m admittedly a very nice guy and have been played before, but it just doesn’t seem like this is that .but I’m not sure if I’m just being strung along even though she knows she would never be serious about me and just likes the attention/way I treat her because I’ll give it to her without us having the title.
Please help lol. I truly do think I love this woman and I’m not even sure she likes me enough to be with me officially.
Would appreciate any thoughts on the situation, especially from older women perspective about hesitations for younger men AGR. I’m pretty mature, have my own business and work 5 days a week, make decent money, if any of that helps eliminate the simple/surface level reasons.

She has been having skull pain on two different sides of her head, and she had no improvement since then. Whenever I try to talk with her, she will get irritable, and she has not been going out aside from picking up items, and she hardly eats. She cannot look at a screen very much either. Any advice? The longest time she ever felt pain nonstop, and this is from sickness, was a little over three weeks, but day after tomorrow, it will be seven weeks if the headache does not go away by then.

This is probably going to be an mini essay because there’s so much to unpack that I could honestly make an part 2. This isn’t to just to share my story to make myself feel better, but also, I want this post even after I leave to give strength to other PK’s to push past the stigma of not being able to leave because of generational ties. I’ll try not to rant, but I’m sure you guys are okay with that, so without further a due here it goes:
I was born and was diagnosed with heart disease at 2 days old. Eventually they inserted an pacemaker to help my left ventricle pump properly. I’ve had about 12 surgeries since then and I’m probably coming up on 13 surgeries in an few years. I also started college at 15 and now I’m graduating with my Bachelor’s degree at 19 years old in an month. So it’s amazing how much I’ve managed to accomplish in an short time. I’ll probably go into 911 Dispatching since it has good benefits plus I always wanted to do police work but my health issues stopped me from that.
Being Pentecostal, I got labeled an “miracle child” by my home church and I hated that spotlight so much. This faith goes back to my great grandmother back in the early 70’s so my roots are deep in this. I did everything you could think of: I sang in the choir, I sang an solo at 6 years old in front of 300 people, I helped stack chairs and clean the church, I ushered, and I even did bible quizzing for 6 years (I could make an post about that wormhole). My dad is also an preacher and now my pastor for 7 years since we moved to start our own church after he felt called to do so. Which spoiler alert, the church hasn’t grown at all plus we got kicked out of our building so we don’t even have an church.
Now that I’ve given my life story, this is where it gets fun and I delve into all the trauma I’ve had in order. Religion gave me trauma because there were days I would wake up, my parents wouldn’t be home and I thought the rapture happened. Then the double standard would show when I messed up, one time I got grounded of everything at 15 for looking at instagram profiles of girls from my school on my ipod, but yet other pk’s could sleep around being promiscuous and nothing happened to them.
I got depressed after we left my old church. Literally no one would come (no still does) and every Sunday that went by, I got more and more depressed looking at all the empty chairs. But if I complained, my dad was say stuff like “sometimes God’s will is hard” or talk about how many opportunities I had. Around the same time, I was starting high school and my first semester wasn’t bad at all, I had tons of confidence after buying some new clothes, my first crush at the time even showed some signs that she liked me. So despite my crappy situation, I felt like I was on cloud 9.
Then in the start of 2018, everything just spiraled downward and I experienced what I look back on as the darkest time in my life, I honestly don’t even know how I made it out. My grades started to drop to where I had D’s and F’s in essentially all my classes, no one was coming to church, and life just sucked. My parents though I was acting out and that wasn’t the case. After getting home one day, I was ready to end it and somedays I would ask God to take me off the face of the Earth. I grabbed an sharp pocket knife, prepared myself for the immense pain, but my parents opened my door and stopped me in time.
They then gave me an long lecture about how I would go to hell and whatnot so that was the end of that. But even after attempting suicide, I would have suicidal and depressed thoughts for the end of the year and even into spring 2019 where I was so mentally exhausted that I could do nothing but sob in the car ride home when my mom picked me up. That summer, I found an charter school that helped me fast track graduation and started college classes early which was great because my mom didn’t need to pay for it because I was an high school student. The downside is I’ve never been the same since, I’m also very quiet now to where I don’t like being around people. Meatheads online like Andrew Tate who say depression isn’t real are just one bad day away from being me.
My dad’s had mental illness for most my life and it runs on both sides of the family (one side is genetic and the other side got it after going to Vietnam). There’s been times he’s gotten physically violent with people during manic episodes such as assaulting an old lady in the hospital, punching my grandpa in the back of the head, threatening my older brother with an walking stick, and probably would’ve ripped my mom’s scalp out if my brother didn’t stop him. Then an couple years ago he tried to come after me and my mom when we were trying to hide from him during his manic episode. Especially with how much purity culture there is where some couples can’t even hug each while dating, I’m not going to be stuck in an marriage like that for 60 years.
Now that I’m closer to leaving, I feel a similar way about not pursuing non Pentecostal girls because I don’t feel like I can let anyone in, I got rejected so many times by Pentecostal girls who were also stuck up and that’s messed up my confidence. I’ve never even had my first kiss or first time because of the purity culture. But even without that and being so young at 19, I’m so screwed up and have so much trauma that I feel like no girl would ever want to love me or date me in the long run.
How do I get past all this trauma and navigate the world of dating once I leave Pentecost? Every time I’ve tried to pursue even an semi romantic relationship, they crumble because I suck at building relationships thanks to my religious upbringing and life long trauma.

From Sony to Fox. From Spider-Man to X-Men, and more, Now, following up said revisions, I figured I'd take a crack at examining the MCU itself, one phase at a time. I think it's safe to say Marvel's juggernaut of a film franchise is one of the most impactful film projects of all time. But there are, in many ways, improvements that could be made. More faithful takes on the source material, perhaps a character arc or two that could be fleshed out, or a potential story left untapped. Before you begin, go ahead and catch up on previous posts. With that out of the way, let's proceed! **** MCU- PHASE 1 Iron Man - 2008 As Jon Favreau's Iron Man is still one of my favorite of the whole MCU, and a masterful debut for Tony Stark, there isn't much I'd change about this one. Minus just a couple of things, what with the pre-existing films that came before:
In my opinion, a woefully underrated entry in the MCU that treats the character of Bruce Banner with far more dignity than any other outside of The Avengers. However, there are definitely some things I'd tweak. Including some plot threads touched on in the 2003 Hulk film (essentially, picture the two films mixed into one). For starters, the opening titles are preceded by this unfortunately deleted scene. Now on the Bruce Banner side of things:
Foreshadowing a struggle for control, and the eventual merging of their personalities. Iron Man 2 - 2010 The main trajectory of this film and dissection of Tony Stark's impulsive, self-destructive nature remains much as we saw in the original film. But with a good deal more focus. For starters, the tone, one much more serious and straightforward:
Thor - 2011 Once again I find myself thinking this one's incredibly underrated.
Loki's point of betrayal against Thor is made just a little clearer:
Captain America: The First Avenger - 2011 The origin of the first Avenger proceeds as we saw it, overall. But given the complex and often dark nature of Steve Rogers's world, perhaps some tonal and character changes are in order. For starters, let's take a look at the portrayal of World War II:
The Avengers - 2012 Overall, a very well-crafted movie with a solid story, great chemistry between the leads and a thrilling set-up for what's to come. Though, with the benefit of hindsight, there are additions and alterations I'd make. For starters, let's go ahead and include good ol' Hank Pym as a leading coordinator of the Avengers Initiative:
