2023.06.05 17:56 Synaps4 Should I store my 325xi for 5 years?
Long story short I won't be able to drive it for half a decade. It should be suitable to use again after that time...but is it worth all the effort and cost to store it (wheels off, gas tank full (plus stabilizer), oil full, wipers out). Getting it running again will mean a new battery, replacing all the gas and oil that was sitting in it for 5 years, and probably more.
...or I could just look for one to buy when I got back. What do you think?

2023.06.05 17:01 wolfgundog Moving from Apple Watch - recommendations?
I have had an Apple Watch for awhile and am thinking about jumping ship. After about a year with the series 7, battery health is already at 86% and at most I get 1.5 days between charges.
Battery is definitely the biggest motivator here. I run semi-regularly (nothing more than 5 miles at a time), strength train a few times a week, and that’s about it.
I have been looking at the Venu 2 Plus because I would like to still have the option to take calls from the watch, as I am often carrying our baby around.
Is the Venu 2 Plus worth getting? Should I hold out for a 3?
Any suggestions/insight would be appreciated!

2023.06.05 16:21 yournailsupplier POWER REQUIREMENTS FOR UV NAIL LAMPS
| The same rules apply whether you're buying for yourself or a salon. Consider the nail lamp as an example. Wherever it is applied, it must be strong how much is the nail tech course enough to cure gel polish. Under-cured polish peels and bubbles, or it seems murky and lifeless. Polish that has been overcured is prone to cracking. So, what wattage does a UV nail light work best at? WHAT POWER DO YOU NEED? Professional UV nail lamps should have a wattage of 36 watts. (Each UV bulb inside is no more than 9 W). LED nail lamps, however, are exempt from this requirement. The wavelengths that they transmit matter more. Consult the maker of the nail paint you use if you're unsure of the wattage of nail lamp to buy. The brand specifies whether nails art LED UV light or conventional UV is required to cure the product. If you use LED light, they ought to specify which wavelengths work best for curing polish. We'd like to concentrate on the best LED nail lamps here because UV nail lamps are getting harder and harder to locate. THE ADVANTAGES OF LED NAIL LIGHTS If you do a pricing comparison, you might discover that a UV light costs less to buy initially than an LED bulb. Nevertheless, a UV lamp will cost more in the long run because The bulbs are expensive and need to be changed every few months. Additionally, they consume more energy than LEDs. Compared to UV lights, LEDs are up to 50 times more energy-efficient and durable. Additionally, LED nail lamps cure polish in 30 to 60 seconds compared to up to 3 minutes for UV nail lamps. Let's use one of the top LED lamps for gel nails to demonstrate the advantages: yournailsupplier UV/LED NAIL LAMP by LAVIS Here is a nail lamp that will give you consistently professional results. Most gel polish kinds, if not all of them, can be cured in a matter of seconds. Additionally, it is rechargeable and portable. 42 LEDs with a mirror finish and two different wavelengths—365nm and 405nm—are installed inside. This is significant since the wavelengths dictate how quickly the polish will dry. The polish is designed to chemically react with the appropriate color of light. These wavelengths just so happen to be the ones that manufacturers of gel polish most frequently need. Additionally, each LED uses little under 2 watts. Individually, they are mynailsart low power, which prevents overheating and skin burning. However, when they all cooperate in addition to the reflective inside, they offer complete coverage, allowing the nails to dry entirely. There are four timing settings and a motion sensor to turn on the light, which are both significant features. By using the sensor, you can operate without touching any buttons or risk smudging the polish before it has dried. For all varieties of gel polish, builder gel, and other applications, the settings include 10, 30, 60, and 90 seconds. Keep in mind that each gel polish you buy will come with instructions on how long to cure it. Applying polish in tiny layers is a good idea. It is simple to add more, and it avoids inappropriate curing. You'll recall that in the beginning of the post, we said 36 watts. Are 96W nail lamps safe, then? If you follow the directions, it is just like any other manicure equipment! The next LED nail lamp is something else you might like. It has some excellent features but isn't as strong. 18-LIGHT HARMONY GELISH NAIL LAMPS, UNPLUGGED This portable light has 36 watts of electricity and is intended for use at home and for nail technicians on the go. Five fingers or toes can be cured at once. When it's powered by the battery, it includes an intriguing function called Intelligent Power Assist that prevents fluctuating power levels. Additionally, the display ensures that you are aware of the remaining energy. Highlights like the eye shield and the Comfort nail tech school cost near me Cure setting for sensitive skin are also mentioned by the brand. Last but not least, the casing is scratch and acetone resistant, and the integrated handle makes it convenient to carry. submitted by yournailsupplier to u/yournailsupplier [link] [comments] |

| This is my IBM ThinkPad R40 from April/May 2003. This thing is older than me (July 2003). Specs: CPU: Intel Pentium M 1,7GHz GPU: ATI Radeon 7500 32mb RAM: 1256mb (1.000+256) ROM: 80GB IDE HDD from Samsung (new) Display: 15“ 4:3 SXGA+ TFT (1400x1050px) Bought it on an eBay auction for 6€ plus shipping. Bought a new Battery (30€) and a new Hard Drive (8€). Also repasted the CPU and cleaned the system. Hardware works fine. Have installed Windows XP on it and am yet to find all drivers. I was searching the web for them and found the drivers. Particularly the Wireless Network driver. But I will fix that. Still looks great for almost 20 years. Compred to my MBA M1 and T470 it is huge whilst weighing something around 3kgs. Do you have recommendations / ideas of what fun things to do with it? I currently use DriverMax (the free version) to identify the drivers I havent found myself yet. Do you know better software? Also thought of upgrading to Windows Vista and 7 to wake some childhood memories. Hardware should be ok for that. Have a nice one! submitted by Total_Apartment423 to thinkpad [link] [comments] |

2023.06.05 15:45 Yautia5 Battery performance with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse
Hi. Given daily all day use with both Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, plus frequent Wi-Fi use, which eink device would you say has the best battery performance?
I know the recent Boox Tab series have amazing performance overall, but my concern is mainly battery life, I can wait an extra second or two of slower performance if the device battery will last significantly longer, since most of what we do with eink devices is reading anyway.

2023.06.05 14:45 Mr_Panda_38 Signal keeps dropping every 30 seconds or so and the reconnecting
Recently bought pixel 7. This is my first pixel. I'm facing other issues but most annoying the signal dropping and reconnecting. I was using OnePlus 6 (5yrs) earlier.
Other things I miss:
- No double tap on home screen to switch off.
- 3 finger swipe for screenshot. (Double tap on back is not convenient enough).
- Gesture controls like double shook the mobile for flashlight, draw greater than (next song) or lower than (previous song) or 2 finger swipe (pause) are not there.
- Fingerprint sensor works only 30 percent of times. In my previous mobile it was on the back, maybe I'm new to this inscreen fingerprint sensor but still 30 percent is wayyy low than other mobiles.
- Physical switch to go silent.
- Extra steps to switch between wifi and sim for internet. (Maybe thats just Android update).
- No option to switch internet between sims. I have to go to settings and OFF the sim and ON again to switch between internet sims.
I miss OnePlus so much now. I regret buying Pixel 7 instead I should've gone for iphone or OnePlus.
When I was doing research I found many issues with battery, my observation is just OKAY, I have to charge my mobile atleast once in a day and I'm okay with that.

2023.06.05 13:56 Redditor10091 i5-13420H vs i5-1335U: similar performance, very different power consumption?
Hi, I am in the market for a laptop, preferably thin, and around £400. I am mostly just doing productivity tasks, but will occasionally do heavy data analysis, so like to have the compute available for when needed (plus it should keep the laptop fast for longer). I have found one from Lenovo (Ideapad Slim 5i 14) with i5-13420H, 16GB DDR5-5200 and 512GB SSD for £400. 56Wh battery. This is a really good deal, but I am concerned the H processor will overheat as it might not be designed for a slim laptop, and its TDP is 45W.
The i5-1335U, which has a similar RRP but is currently £100 more from Lenovo, seems to offer very similar performance at one third of the TDP (15W), according to
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/5434vs5294/Intel-i5-13420H-vs-Intel-i5-1335U. Have I misunderstood something, or will the i5-1335U offer vastly improved battery life in exchange for a tiny bit less compute under heavy load? If so, that sounds much better - so should I pass up the deal on the i5-13420H and wait for i5/Ryzen 5/Ryzen 7 U series (maybe i5-1335U or i5-1230U)? Also the iGPU on this i5-13420H seems very weak considering the CPU strength, compared to i5-1335U or Ryzen series. Is that the case? Thanks

2023.06.05 13:27 smnhdy What am I missing?
Hey folks, I am starting off on my path to solar… and need advice.
I have computer equipment in my garage running 24x7. On average, it’s pulling 140w at any one time.
I’m looking to move that workload to a small solar array, with inverter, battery etc.
I’ve seen this kit on Amazon… but it looks considerably cheaper than most others… €65 for a 200w panel plus controller… I know I’ll need to add an inverter, and batteries…
But can someone either check out the link, or point me in another direction?

2023.06.05 12:07 Jay_____Kay G502 X Plus and PowerPlay compatibility, specifically concerning Lightspeed speed
So I bought and just got delivered an brand new G502 X Plus, very nice so far. Connecting via the included wifi dongle is no problem and works instantly. I also own PowerPlay, connecting the new mouse via PowerPlay's integrated Lightspeed alternatively is also easy.
BUT. The Lightspeed protocol integrated with the G502 X Plus is supposedly " 68% FASTER THAN PREVIOUS GEN" [
https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-mice/g502-x-plus-wireless-lightforce.910-006160.html]
So am I to assume, that while I CAN connect the G502 X Plus via PowerPlay, I in fact shouldn't, because it will be slower? Unfortunately I can't seem to find any info on that at all, especially not on
logitech.com.
The only thing i noticed is that while the product page states powerplay compatibility, it only says "Keep your G502 X PLUS charged, at rest and at play, with our unique wireless charging solution. POWERPLAY makes dead batteries a thing of the past. Never worry about charging your mouse again." So no mentioning the connectivity / Lightspeed here as well.
Any help / info would be greatly appreciated!

2023.06.05 11:59 Dweeberbob Logitech MX Master 2S battery degradation
So I have been using my MX Master 2S for close to two plus years. And I've realised the battery life has degraded drastically this past month. Last time with one full charge, the mouse can last 2+ month. However recently, with full charge, it can last barely 12 days. In both of these examples I didn't turn it off at all so basically turned on 24hrs and on standby when unused.
Is this battery life degradation expected? Has anyone here that owned this mouse experienced this too?
