Howdy folks. I'm trying to do Manon's training stuff and I feel like a failure at getting stuck on Beginner 8.
I can't seem to figure out the timing for her back + HP > QCF + P command grab. The animation seems to go too late, as she spins and then reaches out *after* the opponent has crumpled too low for her to reach. Any tips on how to do this one?
Thank you kindly!

2023.06.05 18:21 HereistheWeatherman "Nihongo con Teppei"-style podcast with casual grammar
This might be a stretch, but does there exist a "Nihongo con Teppei"-style podcast with casual grammar? What I mean by that is a podcast that is possible to listen to for a beginner, that doesn't feel like a dry educational podcast. If there even exist any podcast with mostly casual grammar I would be interested in it.

2023.06.05 18:21 Stunning-Goal-648 Advice for trying fishing out
Just spotted the post in
Ireland and I've been thinking of giving fishing a shot again. Did a bit of trout fishing as a kid and some mackerel, running a line off a boat. Fancied trying some fishing again and wondered what is a good option for a beginner who isn't sure how much fishing they'll actually do! Have access to river, lake and sea. Cheers!

2023.06.05 18:21 Accurate-Silver-9177 Can someone remember a film about cannibals in a snowy hut? I watched the movie back in 2012 and I've been searching for it for ages.
The plot is as follows: four male friends are going on a trip, but their car breaks down after crashing into a large oak tree, and one of them goes out to get help. Anyway, the rest were attacked by a man wearing a mask, so they fled and found a wooden house in the middle of the snow. The owner of the house welcomed them and prepared dinner for them, but they felt that there was a strange taste in the meat, but they did not argue about it. They discover that the man who owns the house has kidnapped their friend who went at the beginning of the movie to get help and was cutting his meat and cooking it. They were hit on the head and hung from above, and the man who owned the house had an accomplice who turned out to be the masked man from the beginning of the movie. One of them tasted a piece of meat from one of the heroes after he snatched it with a knife. And he enjoyed it. Days passed, and a montage appeared of cannibals eating the flesh of heroes and washing their hands with hand sanitizer. After that, one of the heroes woke up missing part of his back meat, and he and his companion managed to escape, but his companion was exhausted from torture and lack of food. While they were walking away, his friend vomited blood, and one of the cannibals had hit him with an arrow and killed him, after which the last survivor understood everything that happened, so he got clothes and a weapon, and discovered that the cannibals after they ate a lot of his friend's meat, which at the beginning of the movie they made him a target for shooting, and after They killed him and began to eat him in large pieces. The only survivor found many traces of victims before them. He killed all the cannibals with a gunshot. But he is wounded and, at the end of the film, wakes up in a dark hut, surrounded by dumped victims and now at the mercy of other cannibals.

2023.06.05 18:20 ResponsibleBenefit57 Lake Eildon
Hi all,
I'm planning on going out to Lake Eildon, was looking for some advice on bank fishing there, or do you need a boat/kayak to get out to the fish?
Looking at targetting trout and red fin, any advice on lures/bait would be much appreciated. I also have an old fly rod I'm keen to dust off and give a flick.
Just moved here from the NT so any advice is greatly appreciated as this cold water trout stuff is all very new for me.
Cheers!

2023.06.05 18:20 BigLanguageGuy I'm creating a macronized Vulgate and recording audio in a classical pronunciation. Judge my first recording.
I think that the Vulgate can be a great resource for high beginners and low intermediates like myself, but I have been frustrated with the lack macronized versions and classical audio recordings. So, I decided to do it myself.
I ran the first chapter through the macronizer, and then I carefully proofread and looked for errors, noticing that the word "māne" was being spelled "manē," which I corrected.
Here is the link to the text document:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KSTqsQFWdMlrBT0Iphetu-Oj600WNA_yk2CVv-qrTak/edit?usp=sharing Then, I recorded it with my best pronunciation and uploaded it to YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzRIJqPq-xY I plan to do a chapter a day. We'll see how far I get. Feedback on my pronunciation is appreciated.

2023.06.05 18:19 primal___scream Need help with escalation
I'll apologize in advance for the length of this story, but I'm super concerned and need some help, but I don't know what else to do.
In Aug of 2022 I purchased (via a payment plan) a new S22 Ultra, in Nov 2022, someone at Sam's knocked it out of my hand in the parking lot onto the concrete and even though it was in a case, and had a screen protector, the actual screen shattered.
I have the insurance so I did a replacement through the insurance. It was a refurbished phone as they all are, I think we all know the danger of refurbished phones. It worked for about 3 months, and then it just kept losing signal, it only worked reliably for data on Wifi, but making and receiving calls was incredibly painful so I started trying to get some help in February by calling T-Mobile to try and get them to replace it with a new one, since it was still only 6 months old. I visited the store, and called customer service repeatedly.
Eventually someone told me to contact Samsung. So I did. Samsung told me that the phone the insurance company sent me was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do, so back to T-Mobile I go.
So I continued to call and visit T-Mobile repeatedly trying to get help because I in essence had a very expensive brick that sort of worked off and on as long as I was on Wifi, and I was continuing to pay for a non working phone. I eventually got it elevated to the executive response team, specifically a woman named Beatrice.
After lengthy discussions with Beatrice, she sent me an S23 regular which was technically a downgrade, and removed the contract for my S22 Ultra from my account, provided that I send the S22 ultra back in their return kit, which I did, three days after receiving the return kit. She told me, that after a week, I could upgrade the S23 she sent me if I wanted to. I still have the box and the phone and would HAPPILY return it if that would fix the problem, but no one will take it back.
I received an email from Sprint on May 2, saying that my device had been received and it provided a confirmation number, date and time, and also, my UPS tracking number showed delivered and received by a PWarren at the dock.
A few weeks later an $800 charge appeared on my bill. I called Beatrice back, she said that was a mistake and removed it from my bill.
FF to two weeks ago when I go online to check my bill so I can set up the bill pay, the $800 charge showed back up on my bill.
I called t-mobile again, and they said it was on my account because the "back office" couldn't find my phone, I told them I had the email from sprint saying they have it, so the opened a ticket. On May 20, I got an email from sprint saying they couldn't find the phone. This was after the one I'd already received from May 2 saying they had received it. So I called t-mobile back once more and got the "the back office couldn't verify they received it." So I gave them all the information and they said they'd call me in 3-5 days. Which passed with no call.
I called again this morning and gave them the tracking number and everything else, and they said again they'll open a ticket and will call me back. I have zero faith this will happen. I have also filed a claim with UPS.
While investigating, I googled the the city, state where the shipping label was for but google says that place is closed and the phone number doesn't work, so where the hell did they ship it to and who received it? And if sprint didn't get it why did I get an email saying they did?
I absolutely cannot pay an extra $800 on top of my already $400 phone bill. I really need someone to help me, but I don't know where else to go. Beatrice is not returning my phone calls, and every time I call customer service they just open another ticket and say they'll call back but they never do.
What recourse do I have if they shut off our service, which my husband and I use for work? They assure me there is no way they'd shut off the service while there is a ticket open, but again, I don't believe them any longer. Who else can I call or contact? I'm willing to put in the work to get it solved, but I just keep hitting brick walls.

2023.06.05 18:19 ogunheavyindustries TEX Shinobi DIY Switch Selection
Hey everyone. I'm planning to purchase a TEX Shinobi hotswap kit to use as a work keyboard and I was looking for some advice with regards to switches. This is my first hotswap build but not my first MK. My current daily driver at home is a Leopold FC980C which I love, and in the past I've owned a Logitech G Pro and a Ducky One Two. I like tactile switches for the most part, and I enjoy the scissor switches on my Lenovo ThinkPad T480s.
For the majority of the keyboard, I was looking for a silent and tactile switch with a decent weight and a noticeable bump as I'm a heavy typer. I was planning to use Boba U4 62g switches for the majority of the keyboard, with 68g for the spacebar, backspace, shift, ctrl and other modifier keys.
I'm not sure what switches to use for the mouse keys, as they're low profile. What kind of switches would you all recommend for the mouse buttons? I'm open to something clicky here. Maybe the kalih choc white, or brown if tactile would be better for a mouse switch? I also thought it might be interesting to use clicky switches on the less frequently used keys like the media keys, FN keys and page navigation keys so I'm open to suggestions for those too.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. does anyone know what size trackpoint the Shinobi uses so I can get a replacement soft rim from Saoto?

2023.06.05 18:18 driedupkelp Compact electronic drum pad setup for worship
Hi does anyone have any recommendations for percussion drum pad for worship? Also, if you have experience with these small drum pads, just tips/tricks/anything to look out for, etc.
My use case:
- We are in a small chapel that seats about 80 ppl max. Front stage is very small - won't be able to fit full drum kit.
- Generally 2 people leading (typically just an acoustic guitar with piano). Occasionally we get a 3rd musician (the drummer who uses a cajon).
- The drum pad, I'm thinking of getting electronic pad (i.e. snare) + kick (i.e. bass kick) (similar setup to what this duo has)
- Mainly for live playing, not looping.
- Budget: ~$500-600 CAD
The thinking behind the electronic pad+kick setup over, say, the cajon is that if we don't have a drummer that week, the guitarist can easily add bass kick. You also get better sound control / versatility with electronic kit. And obviously the real estate for this setup is very compact, which is a huge plus for us.
Right now, I'm looking at the
Roland SPD One Kick +
Roland SPD One Percussion.
Any other gear recommendations/brands based on my use case?

2023.06.05 18:17 Automatic-Two179 Wish won't bite. Please help with an advice.
Hi,
So there is a river in a short walking distance from my home and I found a really good place to fish from, the reason why I think it is a good place is that there are lot of fishes swimming on top of the water, I can literally see their fins, I think the water is really shallow there, that might be the reason and there is a lot of vegetation.
The problem is that the fishes just don't bite at all.
I am only fishing from a shore, no boat, and tried different type of lures, for example:
The top water frog and senko worm.
The live worms like nightcrawlers.
And all few different type of lures.
I even tried casting onto right on top of the fish I see swimming on top of the water, but no results.
Also to be mentioned, I started fishing a couple months ago and all my knowledge about it comes from random youtube videos.
Any advice would be appreciated on what I am doing wrong and how to improve, thank you.
