Clean 2014 TRD OR with 180k miles for $18k good deal?
2023.06.03 16:32 buttgers Clean 2014 TRD OR with 180k miles for $18k good deal?
What started out with a Gen2.5 Taco search as led me to a gen 2.5 Tundra search as well. (man it's hard to find a good Toyota truck.)
I got a chance to see photos of this 2014 TRD OR before I see it in person, and the frame is near perfect. Been Fluid Filmed yearly. Recently had some belts and small maintenance done to it as well. Completely stock truck, and the body has no rust as far as I can tell. Owner has had it for the last few years and is looking to sell for 18K. I'm hoping to talk him down some, but needed to know if 180k miles is high for that price in the first place.
I know the market isn't rational, and me being in New England limits me to slim pickings when my wife doesn't trust me buying sight unseen over the internet.

2023.06.02 06:14 Stunning-Ant-6378 Should I upgrade
Hello everyone I have a 2022 toyota corolla hatchback se in finish line red. It's a CVT. I'm writing this post bc I'm thinking about buying a new car but I can't decide if I want too or not. So I would appreciate it if yall convince me to keep this car or upgrade it. The upgrade has to be quick. It doesn't have to fast.
I like the Color of this car lot. It's fun to drive. But the cvt gets on my nerves sometimes. I really like the look of the hatchback. Ive seen people lower it and add wheels and it looks sooo good. I tried looking for a manual in area but they are way too over priced for being used. I called around for a supra but the wait time is over a year. It's the same for the gr corolla. I wanna see if I can get a camry trd but they might charge over msrp and I'm not going to pay over mrsp. Does anyone have any other options? Gr86? I heard it fun to drive but the whole seal gasket causing engine failure scares me abit. Has anyone driven the corolla hatchback more than 30k miles? How is it long term?

2023.06.01 20:47 CurrentSouth2524 2023 Tundra TRD PRO - 35’s with no lift?
Hello All - finally was able to find a TRD PRO at MSRP. It’s been a work in progress for some time…
I’m looking to put on 35/12.50R18’s. Does anyone know if this would require a lift? I understand that Westcott designs has a solid product for this situation, but I’d very much prefer to not mess with the suspension if I don’t have to.
But just curious if someone has pulled this off. Any rubbing? Was cutting, trimming or removal of material required? Pics would be very much appreciated.
Thanks 🙏

2023.06.01 19:22 OtherwiseAwkward TRD Pro Valances
Hey All - New owner here! Pulled the trigger last week on a black 2023 TRD ORP. It's with Toyota rn getting all my TRD goodies that I included with the sale and I will post a picture when I've got it back!
Wanted to pose a question about Valences. the TRD Pro black valances are the first aftermarket piece I would like to put on and get rid of those silver ones. Considering the
4runnerlifestyle.com set seen below
https://www.4runnerlifestyle.com/products/4runner-black-lower-valance-front-rear-replacement?variant=43589418680565 Is there anyone that has these on a black runner? will the matte finish stand out too much against the gloss black paint? as I know the OEM part does have some sheen to it. Or am I just being paranoid?

2023.06.01 01:22 Kyle05sti A tale of two Tundras
| Hi all. Joined this sub a few weeks ago and have been lurking. Seems like good people here so I figured I'd make a post to share my questionable decision making. I had been looking at picking up a used truck for a while and landed on the 1st gen Tundra/Sequoia platform. I want reliability and don't need anything too tempting to modify as I already have project cars (currently resromodding a 1977 Celica). I ended up finding a 2003 Tundra SR5 V8 4WD with 211k miles that needs some TLC. I don't mind wrenching to give an old truck a new life, so I went for it. The frame was replaced under the recall and it's solid, but the bed is trash and the cab has significant rocker panel rust. It runs and drives great though, has decent maintenance history, and everything works. I've already taken care of a few drivability and deferred maintenance items. Need to address a few more things but it's basically ready to go another 100k+. I started looking for a replacement bed, and came across a 2001 SR5 V6 RWD with 115k and a grenaded transmission. It's really clean for a rust belt truck and my initial plan was to swap the bed and possibly even the cab. The more I looked over the 01, the less I could bring myself to use it as a parts truck. I can't just drop a used transmission in because it's a 2001 RWD V6 and uses a variant of the A340E with a physical throttle linkage cable that isn't shared by the 4WD, or V8, or 03-06 trucks, or any other platform. It's discontinued from Toyota, not available from LKQ, and currently not listed within a reasonable distance on eBay or car-part. After some consideration, I ended up dropping the transmission off at a local expert shop to be rebuilt. I would also entertain a manual swap as I know it was an option for the V6 Tundra, but haven't looked into it too much yet. I'm going to get it up and running one way or another. I only need one truck and need to stay focused on other long term projects. I haven't decided which I'm keeping but will be driving the 03 while I get the 01 up and running. I figure I can then drive both for a month or two and see which I prefer. I do feel like I'd be less tempted to modify the V6...but I'm already aware of and watching for a deal on the TRD Supercharger, so we'll see how that works out. Either way, I look forward to learning from y'all. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, hit me with them! submitted by Kyle05sti to tundra [link] [comments] |
2023.05.31 15:36 wrenchingpine Not a single YouTube review?
I have a 2023 Toyota Tundra Cremax SR5 TRD Sport on order. I have been looking for a YouTube video review and I cannot find a single one that has my exact trim. All of the reviews I find are for a 2022, or a TRD Sport Premium, or an Off Road, ETC.
I found 2 that are titled 2023 TRD Sport, but the both have the 14 inch display, mine has the 8 inch, so I assume it's not the same package. Does anyone know of a single video that exists?

2023.05.30 22:37 Axelson78 Tire recommendation for lift
Anyone have a suggestion and/or experience with a 3.5 inch lift? Specifically what size tire recommendation for said size lift. Also, it’s my understanding that anything over a 3 inch lift will void the warranty on a 2022 Tundra. However when I called the Toyota main information number no one seemed to be able to validate that claim. Any and all input is very much welcomed!

2023.05.30 16:46 MiLKK_ Do you think TRD pro is still better buy than competitors in its class?
With the competition in the mid size truck sphere heating up, do you think the TRD pro still comes as the best option compared to the Ranger Raptor or the ZR2 Bison etc?
Toyota dealers have been pretty cocky lately with their markups and this behavior doesn’t seem to be slowing down. All things considered, Toyota still clears the comp with reliability I’m assuming. With a 10-15k markup I’m expecting it to come to 70-75k? I just don’t see a world I myself would spend that kind of money for a Tacoma. Also availability, I’m sure the Raptor and Bison would be easier to find and maybe even at msrp or a smaller markup.
Is the Pro worth paying a markup and dealing with the dealers when the competition is just too good right now?

2023.05.29 23:30 khoafraelich789 Cheapest New Toyota Is 1 of the World’s Best-Selling Cars
| https://preview.redd.it/f4joqc0lnq1b1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=e8077b9ae2131757b41bf2d9ea2f459943b9c490 Toyota has some of the most affordable cars available — and the cheapest one of all is the 2023 Toyota Corolla compact car. Available in sedan and hatchback versions, the Corolla is an excellent choice for budget-minded car shoppers. On top of that, the Corolla is one of the best-selling cars in the world. 2023 Toyota Corolla is the cheapest new Toyota car With a starting price of $21,550 MSRP for the Sedan and $23,005 MSRP for the Hatchback, the 2023 Toyota Corolla is the cheapest new Toyota car in the United States. Following the Corolla, the next most affordable car in the Toyota lineup is the crossover SUV version of the Corolla, the 2023 Corolla Cross. It starts at $23,060 MSRP. Here are the 10 cheapest new Toyota models: 2023 Toyota Corolla Sedan: $21,550 MSRP 2023 Toyota Corolla Hatchback: $23,005 MSRP 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross: $23,060 MSRP 2023 Toyota C-HR: TBD (2022 C-HR: $24,280 MSRP) 2023 Toyota Camry: $26,220 MSRP 2023 Toyota Prius: $27,450 MSRP 2023 Toyota Tacoma: $27,750 MSRP 2023 Toyota RAV4: $27,975 MSRP 2023 Toyota GR86: $28,400 MSRP 2023 Toyota Prius Prime: TBD (2022 Prius Prime: $28,770 MSRP) While the 2023 Corolla is the cheapest Toyota model, as you can see, there are quite a few affordable vehicles from the Japanese automaker. You’d be hard-pressed to find another automaker that offers so many new cars with an MSRP below $30,000. The Toyota Corolla is second only to the RAV4 as the world’s best-selling car For many years, the Toyota Corolla was the best-selling car in the world. In 2021, though, the Toyota RAV4 supplanted the Corolla as the best-selling model. However, the sales total of the Corolla was still very high, for it took the second spot. Here are the world’s 10 best-selling cars, as detailed by IOL: Toyota RAV4: 1,132,000 units Toyota Corolla: 1,104,000 units Honda CR-V: 903,000 units Nissan Sentra: 693,000 units Toyota Camry: 681,000 units Honda HR-V: 670,000 units Ford F-150: 562,000 units Toyota Hilux: 549,000 units Tesla Model 3: 508,000 units Honda Accord: 481,000 units Toyota dominates the list of best-selling cars. Along with the Corolla and RAV4, the Camry midsize sedan and Hilux midsize pickup truck are in the top 10. The Camry took the fifth spot, while the Hilux placed eighth. Why is the Corolla so popular? In an age when sedans are dwindling in popularity, how does the Toyota Corolla buck this trend to be one of the best-selling cars in the world? Why is the Corolla so popular? For one, not only is the Corolla the cheapest Toyota model, but it’s also one of the most affordable vehicles in its class. Additionally, with its many standard features, the Corolla provides excellent value. Also, the Corolla is very efficient. The fully gas-powered 2023 Corolla has an estimated gas mileage of up to 31 city/40 highway mpg, while the Corolla Hybrid has a fuel economy of up to 53 city/46 highway mpg. Additionally, the Corolla is a reliable vehicle. It has a much-deserved reputation for durability and longevity. When properly maintained, a Corolla can last over 10 years. Also, in some cases, Corolla models have lasted over 300,000 miles. Plus, it has a good resale value. Furthermore, the Corolla is a safe car. It comes standard with many safety and driving assistance technologies. Also, it earned the coveted IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award, the highest safety rating from IIHS. Another contributing factor is the Corolla’s wide availability in most countries around the world. While the sales of some cars are limited to only one country or a small handful of markets, the Corolla is sold nearly everywhere. The 2023 Toyota Corolla is the cheapest new Toyota model — and second only to the RAV4 as the world’s best-selling car. Given all that the Corolla has going for it, there’s no reason to think that the popularity of the Corolla won’t continue. 2023.05.29 16:01 copperboom33 Looking for AWD Daily Driver
I’m looking to replace my 2014 Corolla sometime soon (no huge rush though) mainly because I want something upgraded and more comfortable. I drive about an hour total (40 miles) most days for work and I love the gas mileage of the Corolla but it’s uncomfortable and noisy/unenjoyable to drive, and after 7+ years of it I think I’ve reached my limit. I live in New England so I would really like something AWD. Currently I put snow tires on the Corolla each year and it doesn’t seem worth the cost to do that anymore since I work remote when it snows now, but do still have to drive in bad weather occasionally so I’d like the AWD. I would love something with great gas mileage and have considered electric too but most EVs are out of my price range: would like to stay close to $30,000 or slightly over. No kids so I don’t need a ton of space, but my boyfriend is 6’4” and I have 2 nieces and a nephew I cart around occasionally so they all need to fit. Cars I’m currently considering: * -2020-2021 Lexus UX250h: great mpg, just slightly concerned about cramped interior size and if it would be silly to buy something a few years old when I can afford a new car. * -New AWD Prius: best mpg but it’s another small Toyota which is what I’m already bored of. * -Subarus: new 2024 Crosstrek, Legacy, or Impreza. All very similar and I like the updated 2024 interiors and more substantial size of the cars compared to the Corolla. Mpg isn’t great though and it seems like a bad idea to buy a new car with worse mpg than my current one? * -Mazda CX30 - not crazy about the exterior look of this one for some reason and again not great mpg. * -2021-2022 Audi A3 - this is probably my favorite but concerns about high repair costs and depreciation in value are making me think it’s not the most financially wise decision to make.
Any thoughts on those options, or others I’m missing?? Thanks!

2023.05.29 01:57 itsGreghere Thank you, and goodbye!
Proud former owners of a 2005 4Runner Limited V8, purchased to tow an old Airstream trailer we lived out of on the road for a year starting in 2019 (yes, weird times during the pandemic). We sold it last year with 275,000 miles and bought a new 2022 RAV4 Hybrid SE, wanting to stay in the Toyota family. We really wanted the XSE with a hitch and a couple technology options, but were told by our dealer that the high trims were impossible to get. After turning down lower spec options, 5 months was long enough to wait and we took the SE.
After 6 months, we were bummed with the first new car purchased both of us had ever made. The cloth seats were scratchy and clung to every dog hair, the infotainment felt the same as my 2009 Prius, and worst of all the MPG was a disappointing ~35 (mostly winter, mostly short trips in town).
We randomly stopped in to check out the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and ended up trading the RAV in for one the very next day. After incentives the Ioniq came out to the same $42,500 sale price that our RAV was (after $2,500 dealer markup and options) and they gave us almost MSRP on trade.
Sorry, not sorry. We fell out of love with Toyota and the Hyundai EV is in another league for the same money. All the best to you all! Find me at
Ioniq5 moving forward...

2023.05.26 22:14 Oldiesarethebest Where does this 5 prong connector go?
https://imgur.com/a/DS7SLA8 Hi everyone, I recently received an advanced RMA from NZXT (thank you NZXT, very cool) to replace my AIO that was failing. After I removed my AIO I noticed this weird 5-prong connector that wasn't there in my original AIO. It's coming directly out of the radiator but I have nowhere to plug it in on my motherboard. (MPG B5601 GAMING EDGE WIFI) any help would be greatly appreciated.
I should mention it's a NZXT H1 Mini Pro PC from 2022
