Long story short last June I had hip surgery because I dislocated my hip. I've started to ramp up my travels again and I am running into a road block that is making me dislike traveling. The beds are too soft. Lately we've been taking road trips and staying in hotels. We normally stay at Wyndham properties mainly Super 8 and LA Quinta but I'm finding the beds to be too soft. Pain wise 1-10 it's a 3. I need a firmer bed. Does anyone have any suggestions on hotels brands? One requirement is that they needs to be pet friendly. We take our cat with us because he's diabetic and needs shots. It's easier to take him (he's great in cars) rather than ask someone to adjust their own sched to accommodate him/us.

Hi, I was wondering if someone could provide advice as I am in the process of planning a potential honeymoon to Costa Rica.
We are looking for a mix of relaxing beach vacation and rainforest/ wild life and nature viewing.
I am certain we want to go to La Fortuna for 3 nights but am torn where we want the other three nights of our trip to be.
I noticed that Guanacaste was very popular but am concerned because I was planning on flying in and out of San Jose. The price of transportation and the logistics of scheduling all that seemed complicated and expensive to me. Would it be a big mistake to only spend all our time in la fortuna?
Would anyone recommend a travel agency? Or is that viewed as a waste of money? I’ve never used one before but have also not traveled extensively outside of the country except to visit family. Also, are restaurants generally walking distances to hotels in La fortuna or should I make sure to look for hotels that have a lot of amenities or is close to town?

I’m covering mania as media so it will be my first mania alone and first time in LA. Flying out Thursday night from KC. I have motel 6 booked near airport but always looking to save money. I usually go with groups of 4-6 people but since I’m doing media, I’m going alone. Won’t be at hotel except just to sleep but always looking to save money and hang with other good wrestling fans.

I’ve had this parlor palm since Valentine’s day & it’s been doing pretty good. BUT I recently went on a trip (drove from the bay area to LA) for several days & brought this plant along with a couple others bc I was worried they would suffer without being misted daily.
When I got back home I noticed one of the stocks is doing the Thriller lean. Is it bc of the stress of being in the car & all that? There’s also new growth, so could it be because of that too?
The other two plants I brought are doing fine, one is even putting out new growth. The hotel room had even better lighting than the room it’s currently in, so I thought it would thrive ):

Where do I even begin. This story is pretty crazy but basically in October i met a Mexican man who had just moved to America. He lied about his age and told me he was 29 when he was 31. He looks very young though so I never had an issue with it.
He was depressed because he couldn’t have a car but i kept driving a half hour to see him every time we would spend time together and never asked for gas. I would pay for hotels for us and only a couple times did I ask him to pay me back. I offered to help him with the car which I now realize was a big mistake.
He told me he was moving back to Mexico because he couldn’t get a car. This was my first relationship and I have abandonment issues that I opened up to him about so I feel like he leveraged that to his advantage. He at first said he didn’t want it to look like he was taking advantage because I had told him people have taken advantage of my generosity in the past. I am an empathetic person by nature and I really do want to help people even though it’s not my responsibility. Anyways 2 days later he told me he was super depressed and he pictured himself in this BMW so much and asked what my conditions would be with the car. I told him and we agreed. He hasn’t paid the insurance on time at all but he claims he’s going to pay me back. This was in December I got him the car and he still owes me insurance for February and March.
Then it was also the end of the month in January and he had no one else to help him with rent so I helped him. Even though his birthday was that month and he left me to go out with friends and spent money he should’ve saved for rent. I told him how much it hurt me he decided to drink too much when we had plans. He has a spending and alcohol problem clearly.
In the first week of February he started to be really affectionate and loving after I helped him with his rent. Almost love bombing. The following week he went to visit a friend who’s an influencer and has a lot of money in LA who he helped film a YouTube video with to get extra money. My theory is he likes this friend so much because of the benefits and status he gets from him. He said he would be back on Tuesday in the early afternoon so we could do something and then he didn’t come home till 8. He told me I couldn’t understand the loyalty he had to this friend and how I saved his life one day but this friend who he’s never told me about is more important than his mom and has saved his life so many times. I told him I was hurt by his actions because he has a problem with saying he’s going to do something and not following through. He then told me it’s my anxiety and it’s not a big deal.
Then In confronted him again about this and I told him these actions really hurt me and he said he was sorry he couldn't be enough for me and if we want to finish things we should just finish it. Then I apologized and told him I want to marry him (I meant one day not now) so he can have a better life in America. Later, he said he told his friend (the influencer) that we're getting married and at that point I felt obligated because he said he was really depressed and sad.
Long story short we ended up marrying each other and I started to feel resentful because he owes me a lot of money and has only paid me back half of it. I asked him why he wouldn't have his parents give him money and he said he didn't want his Dad to be angry or disappointed with him. He told me to never offer my help again and that he'll solve his problems on his own. I feel kind of manipulated. Typically when I bring up issues with how I feel ignored or mistreated I get accused for "making a storm in a glass of water." He's consumed with his phone which is ironic considering I'm much younger and don't use my phone near as much as him. When I told him I feel ignored when he uses his phone when I'm trying to talk to him he said "Remember I have friends and family to that also need my attention." He also accuses me of blackmail a lot when I don't think I've ever blackmailed him. I think he gaslights me into questioning reality.
Even though it's not a problem for him I feel like he should care about the way I feel. AITA in this situation? Am I right for wanting to get out of this and thinking this is an abusive relationship? Is he a narcissist?
