I used to adore dead by daylight. It was a turn off your brain kind of game and just pure nonsensical fun.It’s no doubt one of my favorite games to play in groups of friends. It’s one of the few games I kept tabs on for years and years while still consistently playing. I also just loved the community. Meeting a random killer and having them let me go for the pure fact that they had a fun game or thought I did good was awesome. It made me do the same thing for other players. One day dbd just wasn’t fun anymore. I think the last time I was super into playing was when pyramid head first came out. Since then I feel like stuff has fell apart. I’ll check in every now and then like when pinhead came out but I haven’t picked up the game since dredge was fresh. It feels like the devs just gave up on trying to better the game and the community started to turn on it. Never really heard nice things anymore or saw people having fun just being frustrated. And look that’s just me but I do wish I still had the love and drive for this game like I used too.

this is my first time posting here. I need some advice about a recent incident.
I recently went trekking in Tsum/Manaslu with dui jana sati and we learned during our trek that the agent was scamming our wonderful guide out of some of his salary (~9000npr). When we returned to Pokhara, we confronted the guide, caught him in his lies and cheating, and he paid the guide what he stole. The agent was upset and shaking, and kept making excuses like "I don't have enough" and "my family needs to eat" and so on... he said he would pay the guide tomorrow the remainder of his salary (~17,000 npr). he had almost exactly 9k rupee in his pocket.... We paid the agent a large service charge per person, and also gave him extra for processing our permits/arranging guide/driving us to bus stop. He also charged too much for transportation but ke garne.
But! today I learned the agent did not give our guide the remainder of his promised salary, and the agent is blaming the guide for "causing problem" after losing face. I talked to a couple other Nepali guides, and they all said to talk to the agent again to politely request the guide salary. Our guide is a very sweet man and doesn't want to cause problems, and he doesn't want to talk to the agent again. I don't blame him.
My question for this community: What should I do? I don't want any money returned to me, although the agent took A LOT of tax for his "services". I also don't want to make this situation worse for our guide. He is gentle and sweet, and I consider him my dai. But this lying and cheating (and basically stealing) makes me very sad. The agent is stealing from the guide. The agent worked for half a day, and the guide worked for over 10 days. But guide gets half what the agent makes? Not fair, and i think illegal? I want to make this right in a respectful way (Nepali style), but I'm afraid the agent will not pay, or will say "Bhole" or blah blah blah. Should I go to the police? Will police do anything? I feel like I cannot walk away from this and it's causing me some tension.
For clarity: Ma bideshi ho, tara paryatak hoina. Nepal ma basne derai bayo and Nepali basa ali Kati bolchu. I have never before went trekking through an agent, but since the law changed in Nepal I decided to give it a chance. RIP my savings...

2023.05.30 09:25 B12374 Assumed this wouldn’t be downvoted here: I don’t really associate myself with any political side. However, I keep asking myself why the hell we keep talking about a small minority of people who change their gender.
I feel like most people wouldn’t really care if it wasn’t constantly on the news and social media…? Like sure, I could see the perspective “all gender roles are social constructs and thus we shouldn’t cling the dominant male ego”, especially because (assuming that we don’t fall in the near future) we have a sustainable living environment and thus don’t have to adhere to the purely biological/animal side of the male human being. However, with this, it seems blatantly obvious that the lgtbt community, despite claiming to be oppressed (and don’t get me wrong, there’s homophobic people anywhere you go) have the upper hand in terms of contemporary politics. As far as I’m concerned, I know of a few transgender people, I don’t really know any personally. However, despite growing at a considerable rate, they still make up to a very small minority. I’m not vouching for utilitarianism, I’m just saying that a minority that small should not be talked about as much as they are. It’s not a life or death matter. I also don’t like the demonizing of people who are worrisome about drag queens teaching children about sexuality. This is a radical change from the traditional values that have brought many of them peace and comfort. Implying that you have the moral high ground because you value an “anything goes as long as it adheres to our groups values” mentality is absurd and childish.
I’m rereading this before posting and thinking “I feel like I’m coming off as homophobic/transphobic”. Then after rationalizing it I realized that this is exactly how the propaganda works (on the left or the right). It makes people afraid to speak from common sense.

Quick situation explanation: I was visiting a friend about 100km away from where i live and i was scrolling tinder and stumbled upon a colleague. When i liked her profile i got an error and she didnt show up on my recently liked list.
But I recognized her picture from work. Bear in mind the company i work for has about 30k employees. My department has around 7k and my sub department had about 250 divided over 14 teams of 15-18 ppl per team. It just so to happen that we both are in 1 of those teams. Now in-between those teams there isn’t much collaboration cause every team has his own specialty except the once in a while connecting trough or asking about something someone has done for a specific customer. I spoke to her once these last 5 months i work here.
Question: is it unprofessional to to shoot my shot via microsoft teams? And if i shoot my shot via teams how should i handle this?

I'm tired of reading all the angry and shortsighted rants about how the steps being taken to try and get the game's credit inflation under control are useless, pointless, and/or incorrect. How it punishes new and returning players, while having little effect on the wealthy veterans.
First off, the dev's have repeatedly stated that they are approaching the issue from a multi step, long term viewpoint, which is the right way to do it. Economies have delicate balances, even when they are out of balance. Sudden, drastic changes will only sow greater chaos and instability. Getting massive amounts of credits out of circulation takes time, and the team is being very cautious with each step they are taking to gauge how the game's economy is being affected. The amount of attention the game is getting from the dev team on its fundamental core systems is the most attention they've given the game in general in many years. They've realized the long term consequences of their previous decisions that flooded the game with credits, and that correcting those consequences will require long term solutions.
In the immediate short term, the positive effects will be difficult to perceive, while the more 'negative' effects of new added methods and costs of taking credits out of circulation are more immediately apparent. For the short term, are hardships going to be felt by the less wealthy members of the community? Yes, but that's no different than the difficulties they already face with so many desirable items out of their financial reach. It's an unfortunate necessity; there is no way to address the inflation problem successfully that isnt going to be felt. The dev's are making the best choices they can make that will eventually achieve the desired goal with as little hardship on the community as possible. Unfortunately, those with the least will always be hit hardest by hardship; its unavoidable.
Keep in mind, each step introduced that targets inflation is just that, a step. No one thing is going to turn the tide. No single fix will solve the problem. Are the increased financial strains for new, returning, and less wealthy players going to suck? Yes. But it's not going to turn players away to the same extent that a bloated economy will. Those absurdly high prices are daunting and discouraging much more than the added costs of repairs or travel. Those extra costs stand out more because we haven't seen them as any significant cost practically since launch.
Keep in mind that many of the added costs will likely be temporary in the end. When the economy is in a healthier place, they'll likely be lowered (though they should not be eliminated entirely, or everything will get out of hand again). And the measures that have been introduced are already working. Prices of many of the most commonly merched items are dropping. Yes, part of that is a glut of supply. But those prices have been dropping like rocks over the past several months, far more significantly and rapidly than simple supply and demand would suggest. As merchant players shift to more lucrative items, the effect will spread to them. The wealthy may set the prices, but it's the less wealthy that set the demand. If the supply and demand remain, but players have less disposable income, the prices will come down because if things are unaffordable, they wont sell. Commonly merched CM items like cartel crates are sold by the wealthy who already have what they want, or can afford to acquire whatever they want through more direct means. The buyers are much more likely to be those who dont. This means less cash flow to the wealthy, and those extra costs n things will take their toll over time. It's a long, slow process, yes, but its sustainable, and effective in the long run.
I'm not arguing that many of the steps implemented so far are odious and will be most felt by new and returning players, but that's the price for the continued longevity of the game, which the devs are undeniably committed to, now. Even with LotS being a bit short and underwhelming, it is very clear swtor is here to stay and the team (and their corporate masters) are committed to doing what needs to be done to make that stay as long as possible.

I realized a lot of my problem was that I found it very hard to define myself. So I recently revamped my resume and would like you to roast it please.
A little about my background:
I worked for 15 years at the same company in International Logistics. We parted ways amicably when I required extensive medical treatment. While I was away they reorganized and move my department to another state. I wasn't able to move at that time so I decided to change careers to my dream job...clinical psychologist. I returned to school, earned a BA with honors, worked in research labs, and applied to PhD programs. Three application cycles later I still hadn't been offered admission. I should note that acceptance rates nationally are around 10% to 12% for these programs.
I am out of time and money at this point. I decided to return to the business world with zeal an ambition. I'm having a heck of a time finding a position. I am now focusing on a data analyst position and enrolled in a the Google Data Analyst Professional Certificate program. The End.
