I’ve never had a home lab or really anything related to it other than Plex running on my PC. Since I’m getting the server for free I’m getting some additional stuff to support it after some research:
Managed POE switch
Server rack
Patch panel
4x4Tb SAS HDD
2x1Tb SATA SSD
The server is gonna come with rails so I don’t have to worry about that. I guess what I’m getting at is besides running Plex or jellyfin what’s some stuff I can get into to learn more about servers and networking? I looked into proxmox and will run that after I flash the H710P since it seems like you can’t pass through the drives to your virtual machines if you don’t? I want to run pfsense to learn more about firewalls and networking and set up VLAN. My switch supports them.
Even more generally what’s just some good advice for someone who has never had a home lab but is about to get one? What are some good uses for a total beginner? I’ve done so much reading it’s like info overload and I don’t even know where to start.

I'm doing a cross country roadtrip in July and one of my favorite things to do along a drive is stop at healthy food stores!
I live in the Bay Area where grocery stores like Rainbow Grocery (SF), Good Earth (Marin), and Berkeley Bowl (Berkeley) are as much a treat for me to go to as a restaurant because of the good vibes, healthy foods, unique snacks, and delicious prepared foods that they have.
I'd love to hear your recommendations for the best places to stop in each of the states I'm passing through! I wasn't able to get the right keywords down to even highlight my favorite groceries in the Bay Area (my yelp searches were just turning up big grocery chains or vitamin supplement stores), so I'm crowdsourcing!

this week alone one woman wanted to buy a used puzzle i had listed. I asked for £3.50. She wanted it discounted and demanded to know if its in perfect condition. I said its in good condition but it is used so will have wear and tear like all used items. she was abusive so blocked.
Then I received a message to say a coat i had sent was so dirty she couldnt take it in the house. Which is rubbish because i had it cleaned and even used a lint to make sure there was no stray hairs or dust. It was a coat i had worn once. She then accused me of lying and said id worn it many times to which i questioned how it was dusty when it was over used. So i said send it back for a refund. but she has yet to post it back. Hello. I was hoping for a bit of advice on how to do mass battles. The Core Rulebook is very good, but I was a bit lost regarding the cohorts, and also in regard to positioning of the armies.
In regard to the cohorts, how many cohorts can there be? I recognise that the idea is to have enough for all the PC's to be one, but couldn't they choose to have loads of cohorts, and then a massive turn? It says casualties are counted to the army overall rather then individual cohorts, but can the troops under a cohort's control be defeated separately from the rest of the army? And does the strength and discipline of the army get divided into the different sections of the army under the cohort? I'm very confused, so if someone would be gracious enough to explain the system, I would be very grateful, thank you.
Regarding positioning of armies, or perhaps regiments, I was thinking range bands but scaled up, unless there's a system already outlined that I've missed. Any help with that would be appreciated too, thank you.

Hello,
I need some advice from the village for my current situation.
I am a 5 ft 11" male and I weigh 86kg. This time last year I weighed 98+kg. In December 22 I got this down to 81kg.
But I am now back to 86kg.
My training / exercise routine is pretty good:

• I'd say 5 times a week I am up at 5 am doing 100 press-ups, 100 squats, 100 jumping jacks and then going for a brisk 20-30 min walk (if I don't do this routine I am going for a 1h walk instead)
• I swim 2-3 times a week for 1h.
• I regularly walk and exceed over 11,000 steps a day (my walks are mainly brisk)

The weight (and noticeably fat on my stomach) though is starting to form again which is frustrating.
My weakness I think is my nutrition and I am conscious I have started snacking again. Please can someone offer me some advice /support to see this through and get me back to 81kg and my target weight, 78kg?

I like my therapist and don't plan to walk away because we really fit well, so I am not leaving. I'm writing this to understand if I am reading into things and should adjust my understanding, or if it is really confusing what she is saying.

4 years ago I got out of a sexually ( and otherwise) absive relationship. Needless to say rape was a part of that sadly. I have since struggled to engage with anyone in a that way or accept physical compliments because they make me feel like a piece of meat, and I would rather not be in that position. I have a lot of boundaries regarding physical things, including being touched, physical compliments etc.
Only recently did my brain allow me to start processing this (disassociation did its job to help me function at work). So we are now working through in therapy regarding sexuality, gender, etc. I understand we have to explaore it, but even before the abuse I was never into physical stuff, I have never felt physical attraction towards anyone. Maybe once for like 5 minutes only after the person had shown me respect and made me feel absolutely safe and like I know that they will respect my "no", that was after 6 months of dating and was after the abuse. I prefer to be liked for being smart, claver, having a ton of interests and just a good person.

However, the way my therapist speaks of this is "I don't like to put labels, there are asexual tendencies in you, BUT we all are suxual and biological being and being asexual is just a very repressed sexuality" and I don't know how to understand this. Because I don't believe that asexuality is repressed anything. Same as being gay isn't "a hate towards women". I don't look when people in movies are kissing because I feel like I am invading their privacy, I can't watch Amrican TV shows because of the obscene amounts of nudity.
I understand that sexuality is important and trauma is influencing it, but I was never into this stuff even bore the sexual abuse.
The first part about how I have "tendencies towards asexuality" makes me feel validated but in the same breath I get so invalidated? It's hard for me to open up to someone if they can just tell me that I am "repressing" things when I have always been this way. Her words make me feel like I am not allowed to be asexual or demisexual, like I am supposed to be sexual, which makes me think I should be putting myself in situations to "overcome asexuality" and as such put myself in harm's way against my will.
I would like to ask her to explain, but how would I go about asking this in a professional manner to receive the best answer? I dont'even know what answer I would want at this point.

I'm looking to play Diablo 4 with my brothers, some older games too (Rainbow Six Siege, CoD, Counter-strike GO and probably some others that I can't think of right now). I'm also going to be using the multiple monitors (I have two, going to spring for a third in a little bit) for my online DND games.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)
Ideally, I'd like to have great game settings; High or Ultra. Something that's decent now and would probably remain to be pretty good over the next few years.

I’m 28 years old , I have never had my Learners permit, I’ve only ever taken the written test once when I was a teen and failed and never went back? I have also never driven which I guess is good because that would be illegal Hah 😅, so do I need to Take my Written test before trying to get my Drivers License, I’ve had 3 older coworkers (all in their 40’s/50’s) tell me that after 25 you don’t need to take your written exam just get insurance and then you can take the behind the wheel test?? “That’s how they did it” are they just messin me??
