To start off its my gf’s father but im not personally attacking him. No bias involved. I have a lot of humint training and its how i got to this point. He had his daughter brainwashed by a constant flow of manipulation. I read through him rather quickly but kept it to myself. She wouldn’t have believed me anyway. He was an inmate in USP Atlanta in the early 80’s when it was a high security federal prison. His daughter and exwife had no clue of this. I kept my distance and just didnt allow any of his games to get to me. My gf and i moved in together and he wanted to move in also. No way. Thats when he went on the attack. Without her know he turned the neighborhood against us, lied to the police about me and even went as far as going to her therapist and tried getting her hospitalized. People eat up his act and he has it down perfectly. But now his daughter knows whos behind the mask. Im trying to figure out what put him in club fed. It happened as a minor and carried him till he was 21. So to go to a usp for a crime as a juvenile it had to be bad.
What i have so far is he told someone he lit a gas station on fire years ago. But thats not club fed worthy. Looking around his hometown history i found a post about a string of fires happened on the same road as the gas station and included an apartment building. I spoke to a friend at the bureau of prisons and in the system hes there but no info beyond high security inmate at usp Atlanta. We figured out that’s because he was a minor. Those fires he would have been 15. Old enough to charge. He lied about what school he went to also. Because i went back in archives and checked year books to see when he disappeared. He took his daughter to the school once to go fishing. The school was in Berlin nj. The school he said he went to was in pennsauken. There is a school in Berlin for kids with behavior issues and there is a lake on the campus. I showed her and that was it. Her mom is in denial or knows and is covering. Because she claims the federal bureau of prisons is wrong, its my fault. I must have put it there.

I don’t know if the NSFW tag is appropriate but I’d like to preface this with a warning for animal abuse/neglect, as well as me being a terrible writer so the fluidity of this story is probably gonna be unreadable. I was given a bearded dragon as a gift 5-6 years ago, I’ll call him Spike for privacy reasons. I didn’t do very much research before I asked my parents for a reptile because I was a lot younger and I didn’t understand the concept of responsibility very well. The lack of research led to Spike being bought from a Petsmart, which is infamous in the smaller pet communities to sell inbred or diseased animals, so he never ended up getting to full size. I was bought an enclosure kit from the same store with an incorrect lighting setup and sand substrate. I set up his tank and fed him any veggies I could find in our fridge that beardies could eat and worms that came in the kit. My older brother, who has severe mental health issues, would play with him violently, although never outright hurting him. He put Spike in a sink full of water to watch him swim, dropped him from random places, put him on remote control cars and drove him into walls, etc. I don’t blame my brother for the things he’s done because I honestly believe he’ll never have the mental capacity to understand that not every animal is as easy to play with as a dog, if you’re able to play with it at all, but I blame myself for allowing him to do the things he did. I might’ve been an impressionable 6th grader but I still think I should’ve known better. There are now kinks in Spike’s tail and he’s missing a claw because of it. The following year, I began having severe panic attacks and depression that had surfaced for the first time. Of course, if I had known I was going to have mental issues I wouldn’t have taken on the responsibility of a pet . Over the years it’s been increasingly more difficult to take care of Spike (cleaning his tank, feeding him consistently, etc.) and my parents berate me for being a “bad mother”, which only made it harder for me. Spike is now showing signs of a respiratory infection as well as MBD and I can’t take him to the vet for a couple of reasons, the most important of which are not being able to afford it, and being so unbelievably guilty for neglecting him. I’m afraid even if I did take him and they didn’t try to rehome him, he would be too far gone. All I can do is sit here weeping, watching him breathe and hate myself for letting the situation get this bad. All of the information I mentioned isn’t intended to excuse me from the way i’ve treated Spike or pass the blame onto someone else, it’s just an explanation I guess. I don’t want you to pity me, I don’t want you to blame my failure on someone else, I just want you to despise me as much as I despise myself. I still love Spike with all my heart and give him as much affection as I can, I just had to get this off my chest. I might update this when Spike has passed away, which I assume will be soon.

This just came up in conversation - and happened 15-ish yrs ago. The phrase "my water isn't wet enough" has become a running joke. It is also the moment I hit burnout - and I heard that tiny *snap* in my head.
Long story short, I had relocated back to my hometown to care for my parents, with husband & teenage ASD daughter in tow, me a few months out of 48 weeks of chemo. With my background, and my parent's very old school, depression-era non-compliance - it was fun.
Anyways, after a long trying night, with hubby & me alternating, mom required my attention for the 4th time in 2 hrs. The reason? She needed water. But Mom, I say, your water glass is right there. I just got you water.
Her response?
"That water is no good. It's not wet enough."
And that is when I heard the tiny *snap*
I hired a night nurse at 9 am to start that night at 9 pm. And never catered to another whim.

Hello everyone! I’m currently looking for a rp partner who is semi-lit and i usually write 5-15 lines.I mainly do fandom role plays with cannon characters. I mainly do mxm because I’m most comfortable with that writing style. I’m open to any ships just not anything consisting of pedophila and incest. I don’t have any triggers and I’d like fast-ish replies. I’m completely fine with smut and angst as i love building plots. I have multiple plots to use as well! Kid is 15 lbs (4.5mos) now and wants to explore…I try to hold him in my shoulder and end up with back ache and stiff neck…how do you all deal with it? Also both me and husband stare at screen both for work and for fun (gaming). How do you all deal with limiting screen time for kid and still enjoy personal screen time?

If memory serves correctly, I saw it at a library in the US 10-15 years back. I believe the cover is a closeup of an Asian boy's face. We can't see his neck or any part of his body, just his face from the top of his head to the bottom of his chin. I think he has a buzz cut (or maybe his hair is tied back, but it's probably the former).
The boy's name is Du if I remember correctly. The story is about Du reuniting with his family in America. I think he lived in Asia (Korea maybe?) and the first chapter was probably one of his parents picking him up from the airport.

I went from wired to wireless 3 months ago. major problems with these are the following.
RGB lights on make speakers to emit tiniest constant NOISE. Literally took 3 days to even notice it... but then couldn't stop hearing it constantly, so light off, problem solved. (DOESN'T have lights off button or option or anything, except G HUB (or maybe other softwares (currently looking for alternatives to G HUB)).
Do not buy logitech RGB headsets if you use LGS!!! Logitech Gaming Software app.
If you familiar with G HUB software then you can skip this one.
So about this G HUB software. one of the very WORST thing to exists. no not really, but it is.
LGS was and is still so much better than even Corsair iQue (which is somewhat fine).
G HUB. well for G733 is decent... for anything else literally mouses or keyboards or any other applications literal downgrade from LGS almost in entirely! (like seriously!)
Today was one of those days i flip the table because G HUB. So i went back to my wired headphones months ago. but i tried and tried to make G HUB work for my keyboard (cause i cannot live without macros) So iam off to delete G HUB for good this time.

Hello, all got a troubleshooting question for anyone willing to help.

I just got diablo 4 and I'm trying to get the peripheral lighting to work with my keyboard. When I launched diablo 3 for a while it would override the OMEN programing and do its own lighting scheme which was awesome. Apparently, diablo 4 should be doing the same but it's not. Any advice on how to get this to work again?

Getting closer to the painting stage of an A-10 and I would prefer to lacquer paint with a camo effect of two different greens so wondering if the following method for panel lining would work.

1 Line with Black Tamiya Panel Liner.

2 Airbrush on a clear lacquer primer.

3 Airbrush a light layer of the lacquer paints to create camo effect.

Hi Guys, Its me again. I hope that making a second post about paints asking for help in 2 days isnt considered spam. So, I think I got off on the wrong foot yesterday and wasnt open enough to advice.
So, to start again, I have been doing scale modeling for a while now and would like to try 40k minis now, since I was able to find a Hobbyshop close to me, where people regularly play Warhammer 40k and Ive been reading 40k Books for years now.
I would like to start out with the Veteran Guardsmen Kill Team, and need to buy paints for that, since my model paint collection is woefully inadequate for 40k. If possible I would like to buy something like one of these the Army Painter or Vallejo Colour sets, as I dont know if I will be sticking to the death korps and would like a rather complete colour Palette instead of having to go paint shopping again, should I decide to try out another faction with a completely different colour scheme.
What do you think about the Army PainteVallejo colour sets? Are they good for painting 40k stuff? Do I maybe have to buy extra metallics sets?
Also, feel free to call me out on it, should this be an completely stupid idea for buying colour for 40k, Ive only got scale model experience on tanks and aircraft, and with those buying a more or less complete military colour Palette and then just mixing should I need something I didnt have worked reasonably well, imo.

I’ve (25F) thought about joining a gym but it’s really pricey and I thought the membership fee monthly I could just use for my other needs and buy a few dumbbells to use at home. I’m really really shy and introverted too that’s why I’m hesitant joining a gym.
I used to just follow random youtube workouts with my light dumbbells but now im really thinking i will be super steict and consistent and buy heavier ones now.
My priority is to tone my arms (they got saggy after i lost a lot of weight 2 yrs ago) and I want to lose the extea belly fat too. Overall I just want to be stronger too. And sexier.
What workout plan do you suggest? Or if you can recommend a good youtuber which has workout plans I can religiously follow, that would be great.

one of my cousins had recently moved to a new neighborhood and she had a housewarming party.... we all cousins met after a long time(our family is huge so i have a lot of cousins)... 8 of us decided to stayover and we smoked some weed and had a lot of fun and then when we were all out of dopamine we just sat there talking for like an hour or 2... one of the maids went inside a room and we all saw her go in as we were all sitting in the main hall... after a few minutes the door slowly creaked open( they hadnt installed the doors for some reason so they were using some creaky old wooden doors for the time being)... not all of us noticed it until it slammed shut... that got all of our attention... and then it slowly started to open, creaking noisily and it slammed shut again and now we started to hear the maid's bangles slamming against each other at crazy speed(in india most of the middle aged and old woman tend to wear a lot of bangles on their hands)... that was creepy so we started calling out the maid's name and thats when it got crazy...
one of my cousins decided to go check what was happening so he stepped into the room and to his surprise he didnt find anyone at all inside the room... there was no one and he freaked out and ran back... we all went in turned on the lights searched everywhere even tho we already knew there is no one in there.... we were all creeped out and we went back out and started to make sense of it( we never could).... we had the most dedicated discussion of our lives at that point and it went on for an hour or two.... my cousin also said thats she experienced some other unexplainable shit too in the past few days and she didnt expect it to happen with so many people in the house... so eventually we all gave up on it and some of the cousins decided to sleep...
4 of us decided to go for a night walk... we went out... this neighborhood was very weird... people were creepy and the whole area was built on a hill or something as it was soooo steep it was literally like climbing up and down a hill and we first saw an old woman walking up the hill.... it was 3am and she was hunched like crazy.... she moved in a creepy way past us and we were like damn okay.... then we turned a corner and that street was the creepiest... people(or shadows?) were looking at us from the windows... first i thought it might be the after effects of weed or something but then all of us saw the people so we were like lets take a turn around the corner and started walking faster and then some woman comes out and throws a glass of water on us from a balcony... we were so confused why this neighborhood was so weird... we turned the corner and headed back and went past a black street dog and when one of us were opening the gate slowly(so that we dont disturb the whole neighborhood) we saw a dog(its legs) moving in the shadows... then we turn to our right and thats when we saw atleast 10 identical black street dogs just staring at us... that tripped us out and we went in and one of us said that as we walked down that creepy street more and more dogs started walking behind us... they kept increasing in number according to him... but that shit tripped me out... maybe those dogs could sense something weird in the neighborhood? cuz like people say dogs can sense other worldly shit.... maybe they were protecting us? i dont know but it was very creepy...
we went back to the other cousins who had decided to put out mattresses on the floor in the main hall itself and had slept so we too put it out there and decided to sleep... the next morning everything felt better and we all told my cousin to move again cuz this neighborhood was fucked up... when we went home the streets still were creepy the kids playing were creepy(not at all normal)... it was a wild sleepover all together.
and the maid had gone home that night... she never was there... so yeah thats fucked up.

I am up in the middle of the night processing. I watch all the documentaries and docuseries that come out, as an ex-fundie lite. Over time, these things have been less triggering to me than they used to be. The Hillsong & Liberty stuff had there moments, but I started “officially” deconstructing in 2019 (after like 15 years of a slow unravel) and I’ve been through some great therapy. It still stings though and every time one of these “things” comes along, I still have to acknowledge it and make space for how it lands on me.
I was really triggered by the reminder of the goals and aims of corporal punishment. Just seeing the umbrellas again was triggering. That feelings of powerlessness took my breath away. The fact that IBLP ideas about authority and punishment had infiltrated the military and police and education systems across our country filled me with rage and deep sense of despair. I didn't realize there was a direct connection.
The goal of corporal punishment is to break your will. To cause you to disconnect from your needs and desires, to minimize them, deny them, gaslight yourself into not wanting them because your needs and desires are bad. To essentially become a robot. If your will can’t be broken, you are “carnally minded” and evil. The things you want and desire are actually evil. Your needs are not important at all. You are just a vessel of God, a tool, an instrument. That is your purpose. You better find a way to purge those evil desires or everyone will know, especially God, that you are bad and you are going to suffer because of it. You will be a Jezebel. Rebellion is witchcraft.
I was a Jezebel and I knew it. I created a very rich inner world that I lived in much of my childhood. My parents tried to break my will. And they did to a certain extent. When you’re asked to place yourself over your dad’s knee or hit with a wooden spoon or a hair brush enough times, you learn it’s just better to comply. Externally. But inside your mind, you can do whatever you want.
Hello dissociation, my old friend. Still learning how to stay present, to feel safe enough to stay present.
The problem is that when your needs and desires are beaten out of you and you hear constant messaging about your wickedness (and the wickedness of others), your sense of self is shattered. It takes a long time to heal - to deconstruct and reconstruct your identity - and that journey is different for each person. All these years later I still have moments where I have to take a moment to actually construct a part of my identity, to accept a need that I have or explore a desire through the eyes of my authentic Self. I have to recognize when my behaviors are because I am self-punishing. It's hard to get rid of that feeling that punishment, pain, is the only way you'll get better. Those Inner Critics take awhile to disarm.
I forgot how powerful corporal punishment and the enforcement of authority and hierarchy were in shattering my sense of self, by villainizing my legitimate needs and desires and rendering my powerless over my environment. That feeling of being isolated from my own Self. I remember feeling betrayed when my parents hit me. Like, I could never accept that it came from love. It always felt like they loved me in SPITE of me. Not love me BECAUSE I’m me. It’s still the case today.
Having my son is what ultimately initiated my actual deconstruction. It’d been slowly happening over the course of a decade but when I looked into his eyes, I realized there is NO FUCKING WAY I’m teaching my son that he’s evil and wicked and deserves to be in hell. There was no way that I could hit him. I didn’t want to love him IN SPITE of him. I love him for all that he is, no matter what.
I realized that, because of the way that I was “loved,” that I had “loved” others that way too… in SPITE of them being flawed. I realized that Christianity had taught me to love people that way and that I didn't want to love people that way. I wanted to love them BECAUSE they are who they are, it's special and wonderful. That all human beings deserve love.
I hate everything about the IBLP and conservative Christianity because they truly believe that everyone, including their children, are full of wickedness and need authority and punishment to be better. To have their will broken, to be purged of their true identity so that they will comply with their superior. They want you to be powerless and then accept that your powerlessness is good for you. FUUCCCK. Triggering.
This is why we have the prison system we do in America. This is why we have unchecked police. It’s why we throw people with addictions in prison instead of getting them treatment. Their entirely warped beliefs about the wickedness of humans have shaped this country deeply. BURN IT ALL DOWN. Fuck them all.
