2023.05.30 14:14 dagalufh WPF / Datagrid / StaticResource?
Hello,
I am dynamically building the DataGrids i'm using within WPF, however, I saw an example of someone using a HeaderTemplate to build a filtering into the column headers.
But I am stuck on how to utilize it. The example below:
Win7aa
Win7
However, I'm creating my columns by creating the template programatically and not in the xaml code; $Temporary_Column = New-Object System.Windows.Controls.DataGridTemplateColumn
$Temporary_Column.MinWidth = $ColumnMinWidth
$Temporary_Column.Width=$ColumnWidth
$Temporary_Column.Header=$ColumnHeader
And adding bindings by using SetValue:
$Temporary_Combobox = New-Object System.Windows.FrameworkElementFactory([System.Windows.Controls.ComboBox])
$Temporary_Combobox.SetValue([System.Windows.Controls.ComboBox]::ItemsSourceProperty, [System.Windows.Data.Binding]$ItemsSourceBindingName)
However, I can't seem to figure out how to add a binding towards the staticresource in the datagrid.resource section.
Or perhaps, I can build an HeaderTemplateObject and populate with the properties manually and built it from scratch. But anyways, my question is;
How can I set the HeaderTemplate so that is references a datagrid.resource defined when creating the datagrid?
I have tried using $Temporary_Column.HeaderTemplate = "HeaderTemplate" but to no effect so a bit stuck.
A bit messy question today, sorry about that.

2023.05.30 14:14 T3m3rair3 [Event] Court in King’s Landing for the Year 161 After the Conquest
King’s Landing, Westeros, 161st Year After the Conquest
One aspect of lordship is the holding of court, where the lord hears from the people they rule over and the issues they have. These can range from natural troubles, like drought or blight, to manmade troubles, like bandits or broken men, or more commonly disputes with neighbours or other parties, from lowly cases of someone’s rabbit escaping and impregnating someone else's rabbit, to rent payments. Not the most exciting aspect of the role, but a vital one.
In King’s Landing, court was held at the Red Keep. Naturally. To get there, one would likely have to join a queue in the Traitor’s Square before the gatehouse of the castle, unless you got there early enough, before slowly shuffling forward through the gatehouse, beneath the murder holes and portcullises, into the Outer Yard. Fortunately for those waiting, there was often something or other to watch going on. The stables were on the far side of the Yard, so those with an appreciation for horse flesh could enjoy the comings and goings. Perhaps if they were lucky then they would get to see young men of the Court practising at arms, both afoot or ahorse. The broad, studded gates of the Great Hall would be open, with the queue entering on the right hand side, so that people might leave easily enough on the other side.
The decor of the Great Hall was simple but tasteful. Large Targaryen banners of red and black hung between the windows. Whilst the queue stuck to the large central aisle, spectators could stand in the smaller aisles on either side, with a line of columns separating them from each other, with men at arms in Targaryen colours to fill the gaps between. White cloaked Kingsguard stood at the foot of the dias, regardless of whether the King was present or not: there were more if he was, fewer if he wasn’t. Of course, it also depended on whether the rest of the Targaryens were in residence or not.
Atop the Iron Throne, the King brooded. He still cut a striking figure, his dark attire contrasting sharply to his pale hair and skin, the former so pale a silver as to be almost white. It had lustre, though, as did the simple band of gold that rested there easily as a symbol of his authority. As … preoccupied as he seemed to be, Aegon Targaryen, third of that name to sit upon the Iron Throne, remained as courteous as ever with people who came to court, though it never be said that he used three words where one would suffice.
Otherwise, only the Princess Daena Targaryen might be found at Court, in one of the wings, surrounded by her coterie of ladies in Waiting, all of noble stock, though the squires were also starting to gaggle around her and her ladies. Inevitable, where ladies of status were concerned, but how welcome it was is another matter entirely…

I haven't changed anything in my daily life that would cause this. Iv been taking Zyrtec every morning and before bed but it hasn't been helping much I the bumps generally arnt visible and don't itch, but once I scratch one the itchiness starts to spread all over my body.
Any idea on what this may be? My mom thinks it's hives.

2023.05.30 14:12 alejandro_23455 Quality of life improvement request for Developers
Need wood?
Beginner - Send 5 vils to build a lumber jack then forget about it (1 mouse click)
Advanced - Send 1 vil to build lumber jack, send 4 to cut trees (2 mouse clicks)
Need Stone, Gold?
Beginner - Send 5 vils to build a mining camp then forget about it (1 mouse click)
Advanced - Send 1 vil to build mining camp, send 4 to mine stone or gold (2 mouse clicks)
Need Food? Oh boy get ready
Beginner - Send 5 vils to build a mill. Then have build farms all around it (6 mouse clicks. 1 to build the mill 5 clicks while holding shift to build the farms)
Advanced - Send 5 vils to build a mill. Build farms around it, then re-click the mill (7 mouse clicks with shift holding)
If this is a game where winning is largely based on good eco, then why does this basic mechanic for food require so many clicks?
By far the most annoying game mechanic in the game when it comes to economy.
Request for Devs: Please consider a feature where you can build a mill with 5 vils and they will auto build 5 farms on their own thereby bringing the food gathering mechanic on par with the other resources. This will result in:
- Faster learning curve for new players
- Beginner players will have an easier time building and maintaining food production
High elo players game play does not change at all and they can still do manual farm building with more clicks to enhance efficiency.

2023.05.30 14:11 Chinchilla702 How to transition from cosleeping to the crib with a nurse to sleep baby
Hey everyone! My 3.5 month old daughter has always been a contact only sleeper. When she was a newborn I had family over and she was always held while she was asleep. Around 1 month old due to exhaustion we ended up cosleeping because she was having problems projectile vomiting at night and would refuse to settle in the crib. We solved the vomiting but by 2 months we weren't even trying not to cosleep anymore. It was working for us for a bit, but I started to get frustrated that I always had a baby on me and often had to neglect my own needs to get her sleep. We started looking for solutions, warm up the crib beforehand, transfer when asleep, put down drowsy but awake ect. But she still rejects the crib and now fusses even if she's cosleeping.
The only way we have been able to avoid her crying before sleep has been to nurse or rock her to sleep. Once again this worked for a little bit but now it takes even longer to rock her (husband's back is killing him) or she is nursing 6+ times a night and I'm suffering. We use a bedtime routine and white noise and I have her wake windows around 1.5/1.75/2/2.5 but it varies depending on how long it takes her to go sleep. I've tried shortelongejust going off sleepy cues but I've never had her not resist the sleep. I feel like it's only getting worse because I can take her into my bed and nurse her but it can still end up being 15+ min of her fussing before she'll sleep.
I talked to my husband and he's firmly against any type of cio so we've tried the give baby a chance method and have gotten 3 successful naps in the past 2 weeks, but no change at night at all. I know she's still young but I'm hoping you guys can share your success stories of how you got baby to accept falling asleep independently in the crib. Thanks!

2023.05.30 14:10 Cascouverite On a more positive note: why I moved to Germany, and like it here
I've been in Germany nearly 10 years now. I moved here from Canada. This sub and a lot of ex-pat groups can be quite negative so I thought I'd post why I actually like it here.
Germany can be obtuse and stubborn and ugly, but the city I'm from (Vancouver) has it's own long long list of problems that make it just as unattractive at times. Not just Vancouver, most Canadian cities TBH. I've seen things that would be unthinkable here, but are everyday life in Canada. I've seen corpses sit for days on the streets from ODs before someone noticed they weren't just a zombie they were dead and called the cops. Multiple friends and neighbours of mine have died because of fentanyl. I have a bunch of friends whose moms would sell party-drugs and do sex-work cause there was no other way to afford a place to live. All the drugs I did as a teen were sold to me by my friends moms. Vancouver is also completely infested with white-collar crime. Triads, Yakuza, Angels, Italian Mafia, Polish mafia, Indian gangs etc. and the police are completely powerless to do anything about it (and often in bed with them). Absolutely everything is a money-laundering scheme. It's not all as depressing and negative as it sounds, but when you grow up around it and you're working class you wind up working for them even if your work is 100% legit it's just completely inescapable. They're in bed with real-estate developers, they own all the clubs and casinos and dozens of restaurants... A friend of mine is a Japanese cook, there's a whole street full of restaurants that are just Yakuza money-laundering fronts where you can eat pufferfish and drink turtle's blood if you know how to ask. There's no real pharma-care, only like 10 days vacation a year, no paid sick-leave. The food is miles better and there's endless nature to enjoy but Canada is heavily romanticised.
Looking at my home country, a dream place to emigrate for many, I don't see a future for myself, or most of my friends who still live there. The rents are just as bad, education is too expensive for most of them to do full-time, death and addiction plague most cities and social services are just as fucked there as they are here.
That said, I've been incredibly lucky here. Turns out I'm good with languages, I speak C1 German with virtually no accent and have been able to pretty much since year 2 of being here. I met a German woman and we're getting married. The Ausländerbehörde are still assholes but they respect me for what I've achieved and if they ever give me lip I have a German with me which has gotten me places I wouldn't have otherwise. Her family wound up sponsoring me, so I've never had to deal with virtually any financial beaurocracy cause they said they'd cover me if things go south. We're inheriting a house in a very nice part of the country. I've met friends through my fiance and managed to make a few of my own, I even got invited to join one of those impossible-to-crack childhood friend groups. My experience in many ways has not been average. I was given a golden ticket and I know and appreciate that.
Even so, the lives of average people here are better than the lives of average people in Canada. Even if I hadn't gotten so much help I would have been able to learn a trade or study. I have 30 days of paid vacation every year and have the proximity to other countries so I can actually use them to travel. You can do even a week in Italy, or Ireland, the Netherlands etc. for the price of a weekend in a neighbouring town in Canada. I did a week in Tuscany for the price of a ski-trip on Whistler or Seymour, which I could see from my apartment. I know other immigrants to Germany who've been able to buy an apartment in smaller towns and go on vacation a couple times a year having started with nothing and done a normal Ausbildung.
I miss Canada sometimes for sure. The nature, my friends, the accessible and open, social culture even in a city like Vancouver which is famously anti-social and inaccessible. And I miss good international food. I hate some aspects of German culture, but lots of them are common throughout the western world. I dunno, I kind of like it here

2023.05.30 14:08 Marcel4698 If you have the chance to go see Red Velvet live in concert, DO IT IMMEDIATELY
I had the privilege of seeing Red Velvet in Berlin on Saturday. And Oh. My. God.
Excluding festivals, I've been to 17 Kpop concerts since April 2022. Ateez, Sunmi, Loona, Dreamcatcher, Blackpink, NCT Dream, you name it. So trust me when I say that Red Velvet delivered the single best Kpop concert experience I've ever had. This was one of my top 3 favourite concerts ever, regardless of genre.
First of all, the way these girls performed. Yes, Joy was sadly absent but the rest of them gave it their all to make up for it. Energy at the top for the full 2.5 hours, lots of fan interactions, amazing vocals.
And the
setlist leaves almost nothing to be desired. Obviously promoting a lot of the newer music but not forgetting about the old stuff either. Every song was placed perfectly and the whole setlist had a really nice flow to it. My personal favourites were Bamboleo, Ice Cream Cake, On a Ride, Pose, Beg For Me, I Just and Zimzalabim.
But can we talk about Zimzalabim for a moment? Like, what the actual fuck? The entire venue EXPLODED. Absolute mayhem! This was the single best song I've heard in a live setting ever. No, I am not joking. Listen, Dreamcatcher's Silent Night was amazing but Zimzalabim was DIFFERENT. I have not headbanged this hard at any of the metal concerts I've been to. Exhausting, but in the best way possible.
This was perfect, the concert was perfect, Red Velvet were perfect, stan Red Velvet for better health.
Red Velvet have a concert in Amsterdam tonight and one in London on June 6th, as well as festival appearances at Primavera Sound in Barcelona on June 1st and Madrid on June 8th. If you are in any way able to attend any of these shows (or any other future ones), do not even think about it. Just buy a ticket and GO!

2023.05.30 14:08 bigbadwolfeinc Just had a game where everybody ks'd me at every chance.
At the end of the game I had 2-5-19 stat line, and every last hit for heroes the team bursted them. I finished the game with the lowest death for the team, second highest gold. But even the supports kept ks'ing.
One time, the faceless void in my team used his ulti just to ks 1 guy. Another time, he used ulti just to clear out the camp I was farming.
All I said was we needed better timing when we clash.
It's frustrating at the same time funny. However, I do want to raise the increasing instance of this. Is this the effect of the new bounty system? I was lucky enough to be able to win this game, and that despite the trolling of my teammates they were competent enough to win it.
But in other games it ruins the timing of everyone in the team. I mean, they literally stop attacking in the middle of the clash just to wait for the last hit. A lot of instances, we lose the clash because of that. When I call them out, some listen, but some don't.
Again, sometimes it's frustrating when you're losing, but when you're winning it's funny. I hope that it's always funny.
Is it just me and a bad week, or is anyone finding the same thing for their games?

You can also opt for neutral colors like yellow or green.
Next, think about the type of flowers you want to include in your arrangement. Consider using seasonal blooms or flowers that have special meaning to the parents. For example, if they met at a sunflower field, including sunflowers in your arrangement could be a thoughtful touch.
Another thing to consider is whether you want to include any additional gifts with your flowers. A stuffed animal or balloon can make a sweet addition and help create an even more memorable gift.
Don't forget about presentation! Choose an appropriate vase or container that complements the overall look and feel of your chosen flowers. And remember - simplicity is often key when it comes to showcasing beautiful blooms.

Dolomite, often referred to as the "hidden gem" of the mineral world, is a captivating mineral with a rich history and remarkable properties. This blog takes you on an enthralling journey through the world of dolomite, exploring its diverse applications, geological formation, and the leading role played by dolomite manufacturers in harnessing its potential.
Understanding Dolomite:
Dolomite, scientifically known as
calcium magnesium carbonate (CaMg(CO3)2), is a mineral that forms through a complex process involving the alteration of limestone or marble by magnesium-rich groundwater. It is characterized by its distinctive crystal structure and a range of captivating colors, including white, gray, pink, and green.
Geological Formation and Occurrence:
Dolomite primarily forms in sedimentary environments, where magnesium-rich fluids interact with calcium carbonate minerals. It can be found in abundance in limestone deposits, as well as in hydrothermal veins and as a product of microbial activity in some marine environments. Notable dolomite deposits can be found in various regions worldwide, including the United States, Italy, Spain, China, and India.
Properties and Industrial Applications:
Dolomite boasts a diverse range of properties that make it highly valuable across multiple industries. Some of its notable characteristics include:
Magnesium Source: Dolomite is an important source of magnesium, a vital nutrient for plants, animals, and humans. It is widely used in agriculture to enhance soil fertility and promote healthy plant growth.
Refractory Material: Due to its high melting point and resistance to heat and fire, dolomite is used as a refractory material in the production of refractory bricks, furnace linings, and crucibles.
Construction Aggregate: Dolomite serves as a versatile construction material, used as an aggregate in concrete and asphalt mixtures. Its durable nature and excellent strength contribute to the overall quality and performance of construction projects.
Magnesium Production: The extraction of magnesium metal from dolomite ore is a significant industrial process. Magnesium, with its lightweight and high-strength properties, finds applications in aerospace, automotive, and electronics industries.
Soil Amendment: Dolomite is used as a soil amendment to neutralize acidic soils and provide essential nutrients, including calcium and magnesium, for optimal plant growth.

2023.05.30 14:03 king_code2023 Need help changing an LED disc bulb
I have a ceiling fan with an LED disc light that I'm trying to replace. I want a brighter white light rather than the soft light. I bought a replacement light and as far as I can tell it is 100% compatible. I just have concerns about the wires.
The LED Discs (Old & New):
https://imgur.com/a/hi2Vk0s The Fixture:
https://imgur.com/a/4YC9JCg Based on the pictures above, I hope my problem can be made clear. In the first picture, the larger disc is the existing LED light, and the smaller one is the new light. The size difference is because the old one is still attached to a metal back plate, I can swap that out no problem. The real problem is the connectors. The old light has its wires attached to this nice, user-friendly connector to plug it in and out of the socket (see second picture). The new light, however, just has the wires.
Now since the wires all look the same, I have had the thought that I could just cut the connector off of the fixture and then connect the wires directly with caps. Seems simple enough. However, I don't want to risk breaking things and I'm not sure that's the right move to make.
I'm hoping for some general guidance here. I keep looking for a replacement disc with the connector, but none of the ads for replacements say anything about how the wires connect. Anyway, I feel like there is a way to make this work, and I figure someone here can point me in the right direction. Thanks so much.

2023.05.30 14:00 23lemons23 When is backpain an emergency?
When is back pain considered an emergency? Is it ever?
I've slept 2 hours in the last 4 days and am truly afraid to go to bed now. For whatever reason sleeping aggravates whatever is going on to the max.
I need a disectomy and laminectomy.
On the 18th I got several epidural injections and was mostly pain free after a couple days. Then I lifted a metal shelf and felt something give out in my lower back and couldn't walk.
Now when I wake up as soon as I move all I can do is scream in misery. It's the worst pain imaginable. Today my mom had to help me get dressed. Then I had to use a wooden baby gate as a walker to slowly move. Each movement and every inch I straighten my back its like a large butcher knife is stabbing deeper and deeper in my right butt cheek/tailbone area. It brings tears to my eyes. In that moments I can only wish death will take me far away from this hell. Today I even dropped a coffee cup as I grabbed onto the counter top, followed by stepping on glass barefoot. Couldnt deal with untill 2 hours later when I could start to move when the medicine kicked in (Diclofenac, hydrocodone, morphine)
My right foot is consistently numb. When I sit it hurts really bad now and causes the familiar throbbing deep pain in the glute down the leg that I used to have on the left side, except now it feels like my right leg is on fire.
Don't know if its related but my hands have been going numb really easily now. I also am having problems going to the bathroom both 1&2.
On the first I have a consultation for surgery and have been having to talk myself out of going to the ER for the last week.

2023.05.30 14:00 Topusshop Moon Design Nails With Rhinestones Short Nails Acrylic
| Moon Design Nails with Rhinestones: A Stunning Choice for Short Nails with Acrylic Moon Design Nails Moon Design Nails Moon Design Nails Moon Design Nails Moon Design Nails Moon Design Nails When it comes to nail art, there's an endless array of possibilities to express your personal style and enhance the beauty of your hands. Moon design nails with rhinestones are a trendy and glamorous choice, particularly for those with short nails looking to make a statement. Combining the elegance of moon-shaped designs with the sparkle of rhinestones, this acrylic nail art is bound to turn heads and leave a lasting impression. Moon design nails, also known as half-moon nails, feature a crescent shape at the base of the nail, leaving the rest of the nail bed exposed. This unique design has gained popularity due to its versatility and ability to complement different nail lengths. While moon design nails are often associated with longer nails, they can be equally striking on short nails, thanks to the right choice of colors and embellishments. To create moon design nails on short nails with acrylic, you'll need to visit a professional nail technician who specializes in nail art. They will apply acrylic extensions or sculpt the acrylic directly onto your natural nails to create the desired length and shape. Short nails are ideal for this design because they provide a compact canvas where the moon-shaped design and rhinestones can shine brightly. The moon design can be customized to match your preferences and personal style. You can opt for a classic white moon against a natural nail base for an elegant and minimalistic look. Alternatively, you can experiment with vibrant colors, such as deep reds, rich blues, or bold metallic shades, to add a pop of excitement to your nails. The choice of color largely depends on your individual taste and the occasion you're attending. Rhinestones play a vital role in elevating the allure of moon design nails. These tiny, sparkling gems can be strategically placed along the border of the moon shape or scattered across the nail bed to create a dazzling effect. Rhinestones come in various shapes, sizes, and colors, allowing you to customize the design further. You can choose to go for a subtle and refined look with small, clear rhinestones, or make a bold statement with larger, colored stones that complement your chosen nail polish. When it comes to maintenance, moon design nails with rhinestones on short nails require some attention to preserve their longevity and beauty. Regularly moisturizing your cuticles and nails will keep them healthy and prevent dryness. It's also essential to avoid using your nails as tools to prevent any accidental damage. With proper care, your moon design nails will continue to impress and add a touch of elegance to your overall appearance. Whether you're attending a special event or simply want to elevate your everyday look, moon design nails with rhinestones on short nails are a fantastic choice. They combine the sophistication of the crescent moon shape with the captivating sparkle of rhinestones, resulting in a stunning and eye-catching manicure. Visit a skilled nail technician to bring your nail art vision to life and let your short nails shine with acrylic moon designs and radiant rhinestones. #usa #beauty #nail u/usa submitted by Topusshop to u/Topusshop [link] [comments] |

2023.05.30 14:00 dreftzg [Daily News] Seiko Expands King Seiko Collection With Two Non Limited Watches, Bremont’s New Watch Pays Homage To The Most Insane Race Ever And New Depancel Has A New Old Stock Movement From The 60s
It's Tuesday and King Seiko is back for good. It's just not the King Seiko everybody really wanted.
What's new
1/ Seiko Expands King Seiko Collection With Two Non Limited Watches Inspired By The Legendary KSK The rivalry between King Seiko and Grand Seiko has been strong for years. And for years they battled it out, but Grand won and the King was kind of forgotten. Until fans started asking for it to come back, and Seiko decided to oblige their wishes in 2020 when they started releasing limited numbers of King Seiko recreations. Theses seemed to have been hits for the company, as Seiko now expands the KSK-inspired collection with two slimmer, high-end and non-limited models, the SJE089 and SJE091.
In the 60s, King Seiko watches were deeply respected and they entered numerous chronometry tests, with good results. The most notable of all watches produced by KS was the reference 44-9990, with its hand-wound calibre 44A. Also known as the KSK (KS meaning King Seiko and the K at the end being the acronym for Kisei-Tsuki, stop-seconds in Japanese), it will serve as an inspiration for the comeback of the name.
After a number of limited models, Seiko is now ready to introduce two non-limited models, even though you’ll need a trained eye and a close encounter to differentiate them from a more accessible version from the SPBxxx range. Visually, they are indeed closer to the SPBxxx models and don’t try too hard to recreate the original KSK models, and at the same time, they share their specifications, movement and refinement with the two limited editions previously released.
For the two new models, Seiko has reworked the case to look more like the original 1965 watch and have increased the size a bit from the limited editions - up to 38.6mm from 38.1mm, while slimming it down from 11.4mm to 10.7mm. The finishing on the case is a combination of mirror polished surfaces and hairlines on top areas. The back, screwed and in solid steel, is decorated with the King Seiko emblem, but gone is the nice golden medallion of the two limited editions. Water-resistance is still rated at 50m. You can get the watches with a seven link steel bracelet.
The watch comes with two dial options, a silver and a black. The hands and markers have strong polished bevels on the sides and the dials have been reworked with a more understated and delicate sunray finishing technique that’s closer to the original watch. A small difference can be seen between the two dials; the silver edition has entirely polished hands and markers, while the black edition features a fine hairline finish on top of the hands and markers to heighten the level of contrast with the dial’s dark surface.
Inside is the calibre 6L35, a slimline in-house movement often reserved for the brand’s Presage limited edition. This calibre 6L35 was presented in 2018 as a thinner alternative (3.7mm in height), but also a movement with finer regulation than the other calibre of the brand. Beating at 4Hz with 45 hours of power reserve, it is given for -10/+15 seconds/day.
Launched as part of the permanent collection, the King Seiko SJE089 will be available in July 2023. They will be priced at EUR 3,400.
And these last two sentences are the main issue with the King Seiko. Historically, King Seiko stood for absolute accuracy. To put a -10/+15 seconds/day movement inside, at a price that almost reaches Tudor or a very slightly used (or maybe an even brand new) Grand Seiko, is not a good look and is, honestly, quite disappointing. Especially with their effort to position it as a more high end offering. The calibre 6L35 is not bad. It could just be a bit fine tuned and they would have a great watch.
2/ Bremont’s New Limited Edition Watch Pays Homage To The Most Insane Race To Ever Exist Before you continue reading this, go to YouTube and type in the Isle of Man TT. Say that you don’t feel going over to YT, just imagine this - you’re strapped to a motorcycle, practically lying down on the road, speeding through a village on the Isle of Man with your helmet inches from a cottage stone wall. That’s the Isle of Man TT, the fastest and most impressive race in the world. There practically hasn’t been a race in which someone doesn’t die - more than 250 riders have died since 1911, six just last year.
The Official Timing Partner of this insane even is Bremont, who just introduced a new watch dedicated to the race. And it’s not just a new colorway on an already existing watch, Bremont actually created a dedicated watch, which makes sense since they are one of the few large mainstream watchmakers from the UK, making it a logical partner for the Isle of Man. This bond is further enhanced with Bremont’s partnership with Peter Hickman, the fastest man ever to have completed the course at an average speed of 135mph (in 2018). The watch is the Isle of Man TT Limited Edition, a racing-oriented chronograph.
The watch uses Bremont’s layered Trip-Tick construction with its modular architecture. The top of the watch consists of a steel module that integrates the lugs. It frames a central container in stripped steel coated with black PVD. The back is closed by a solid steel element, secured to the case by five screws and decorated with the Isle of Man TT circuit. It’s a powerful and sizeable watch, measuring 43mm in diameter, over 15mm in height and 49mm in length.
Upon deeper consideration of the dial you will see it has all the features of a classic dial. But on first glance, it looks radical as it’s made to look like a speedometer on a bike. The hands rotate at 360°, but the main hour track mimics a gauge, with a sector that runs from 08 to 04, and frames two black-rimmed sub-counters, just like the subsidiary gauges on a sports bike. All elements are gloss-black printed over a matte white base, giving a fresh look to this watch. Red accents on the central hand and chronograph hands bring the desired racing vibe, and the date at 6 o’clock doesn’t even feel out of place in this speedy context.
Powering the watch is an automatic, chronometer-certified movement – calibre BE-50AV, based on the ETA 7750 architecture. It has a comfortable 56h power reserve. The watch is worn on a textured rubber strap, closed by a pin buckle.
Limited to 67 pieces and now available, the Bremont Isle of Man TT is priced at EUR 5,975.
3/ The Depancel Jürgen Clauss Chronograph Is A Love Leter To 1960s French Sports Cars With A New Old Stock Movement From The Same Era Alpine, if you are perhaps unfamiliar, is a cult French carmaker most famous for its tiny sports cars from the 50s, 60s and 70s. More recently, under Renault ownership, they have started making sports cars again and while they are supposedly fantastic cars, the old Alpinas, especially the A110, have a cult following. In order to document this cult following, Jürgen Clauss has formed alpineLAB and has since become one of the foremost experts on this particular French sports car brands. You know who else is into french sports cars? Depancel, who have a range of sports cars themed watches. Depancel teamed up with Clauss to create the Depancel Jürgen Clauss Chronograph. What would otherwise be a boring collaboration for a number of highly specialized collectors actually turned into a very interesting watch.
The Alpine A110 from the 60s is most famous for a very bright blue color and it’s that same blue that dominates on this limited edition watch, with a blazing blue sunburst dial, with black chronograph subdials and baby blue accents on the bezel and seconds hand. The bezel insert is quite intriguing, with the first quarter reserved for a pulsometer and the rest a traditional tachymetre. That makes sense for a racing watch for vintage cars, as when timing speed you won’t be likely to exceed 240 km/h too often.
The 43mm diameter may be a big too big for some, but this is a traditional racing chronograph so you can expect it to wear comfortably with the curved lugs. You have two strap options in either a diamond-stamped leather strap with a small French flag stitch, or the full-steel bracelet which will come with the leather as well.
All of this would be normal in any other tribute racing chronograph. Where, however, the Depancel Jürgen Clauss Chronograph differs substantially is on the inside. Depancel have sourced 150 new-old-stock Valjoux 7753 movements of a similar era to the original Alpine A110s, and refurbished them for use as bicompax chronograph calibres. These cam-actuated automatic chronographs were incredibly popular in their era, and many Swiss chronographs still use the same architecture or bases for their movements today. They have a power reserve of 48 hours and beat at 4Hz, plus you can gaze at it through the sapphire caseback with Depancel’s customised rotor.
That’s very cool. The Depancel Jürgen Clauss Chronograph is limited to 150 pieces and can be had for €1,795 on leather or €1,895 for the steel.
4/ Vulcain Teams Up With CronotempVs Private Club To Celebrate Grandson Of Company Founder Who Played For Real Madrid FC Vulcain is on a roll. Hardly a week passes without them releasing a new watch, a new limited edition or a new collaboration. This seems to be all three, as Vulcain has teamed up with Spain-based private watch collecting club to create the Cricket André “DIDIXEIN” Ditisheim, a limited edition of 47 pieces of a different Cricket to honor André Didisheim, descendant of the founder of Vulcain and Real Madrid football player.
André Didisheim, grandson of Maurice Ditisheim, was as an excellent sportsman and footballer. In 1907, he went to Madrid to learn Spanish because at the time South America was one of the most important markets for Swiss watch manufacture. Didisheim displayed his talent as an attacking midfielder and signed with Madrid FC (now known as Real Madrid FC). While there, his name Didisheim was changed to “Didixein”.
Paying tribute to André Didisheim, the Vulcain x CronotempVs Collectors limited edition Cricket watch has a 39mm diameter case with engraved steel polished case-back. The crown placed at 3:00 can be used to manually wind the watch movement in one direction to set the alarm and in the opposite direction to set the time. The pusher placed at 2:00 sets the alarm with the arrow-shaped hand. Inside is the hand-wound double-barrel Vulcain V-10, an evolution of the original Cricket caliber from 1947, keeps the watch running and the alarm ringing
The vintage themed dial with the touches of gray colour, the dial features Arabic numerals coated with Superluminova. This timepiece is limited to 47 units.
The price of this latest Cricket is €4,300 excluding VAT.
5/ Stepan Sarpaneva Takes Huge Inspirations From The Moon For His New Beautiful Watch Independent Finnish watchmaker Stepan Sarpaneva is obsessed with the Moon. You will see this on all of the watches he has made which have the moon face on it. They are, of course, so much more than just watches with a moon face, but rather small works of watchmaking art. His latest Lunations watch interprets the darker side of the Moon with its black ruthenium-coated plates and bridges.
The Sarpaneva Lunations, recently revisited in the more colourful Harvest Moon edition, now returns with a darker personality. The distinctive shape of Sarpaneva’s case, with its scalloped 6-sided bezel, short lugs and crown at 4 o’clock, is crafted from high-grade Outokumpu supra 316L/4435 steel and has a diameter of 42mm and a thickness of 9.8mm. User-friendliness has also been factored into the equation, and the two-part crown, decorated with Sarpaneva’s moon face and 12 short protruding rays, is used to set and wind the time and adjust the moon’s phases.
An openworked matte black ruthenium-coated plate reveals parts of the inverted movement, including the exposed balance wheel, and features Sarpaneva’s signature moon face at 6 o’clock. The large moon face in relief is laser engraved, filled with a cross-section of optical fibre and finished by hand. The two moons on the reverse side of the case are illuminated with RC Tritec Lumicast to appear white in daylight and emit a blue, orange or purple glow in the dark. As they enact the lunar cycles, the luminous moons cast an eerie glow on the dial’s moon’s face to indicate the precise phase of the Moon.
In a departure from other Sarpaneva Lunations models, the applied and skeletonised chapter ring bearing the indices has been removed, allowing an even better view of the movement. The hour and minute hands can be ordered in pitch black, red gold, flame blue or rhodium coated.
A limited edition of 10 pieces, the Sarpaneva Lunations Black Ruthenium retails for EUR 39,500, excluding taxes. Delivery time is estimated between 4 – 12 months.

Second Hour’s Mandala Burst offers a fresh take on the everyday watch Heralding from Australia, Second Hour has been making a little space for itself on the independent watch market by offering fresh takes on the traditional genre of watches. From divers to field watches and of course, everyday timepieces. The brand’s latest release comprises two new colours and an updated design of their core collection called the Mandala.
