background: im a 20 year old FtM, 5’1”, and ive been stuck at 150 pounds basically since I was 13. ive struggled with eating disorders and a poor relationship to food for various reasons (parents poor food choices, autism texture issues, never feeling safe while eating, body image issues, etc) so the idea of weight loss now sounds like… well it sounds fundamentally impossible. like a truly Sisyphean task of ridiculous proportions.
but i really want to change my body shape now, and ive gotten better and changed since, got a new job where im pretty physically active, i can buy whatever food i want, im not stuck inside… but i have no idea how to make food thats good, and nobody bothered to teach me. I’ve tried looking at YouTube cooking channels, but they always have my “ick” foods in like, EVERY recipe. plus, because of my various issues, trying new foods is always really daunting, and i don’t want to waste money and food trying hundreds of things i will just throw out. (id feel so guilty. i mean like people are starving and here i am throwing out food i just made because ew icky?)

Hello all you SD friends. The title sums it up. I’m sure this is just another swing in the pendulum, but I thought I’d share anyway.
I’m still pretty green to this lifestyle. A few ticks past 4 months. I quit drinking for a million and a half reasons, but at the crux of it, the goal was to reconnect with myself. To create conditions that will nurture the growth of love, acceptance, respect, and security within myself, for myself and my reality.
The absence of alcohol awarded me the courage to clean out all my skeletons. I put my life as I knew it on the line for the sake of the truth, and I am very lucky to be on the other side of it with everything in-tact.
Yet I’m here today, and I am certain that, someday, a drink will enter my body. I don’t know if this will be next week or 20 years from now. I don’t know if it will be one drink or one thousand. And I’m simply sitting with the thought right now.
I have suffered from terrible tinnitus since I was 26, unrelated to hearing loss. A few drinks would allow me to not care so much about the pervasive ringing. At this point, I am back to square one with coping mechanisms for it. If there is any reason a drink would find it’s way past my lips, I would bet my soul it would be about tinnitus. If any of you guys have it, you understand how fucked up it can be.
I feel my grip is loosening. I am beginning to question more and more.
I go to an AA meeting roughly once a week. I am not committed, and am not working the steps. I tried, and I found the program isn’t a great fit for me and my goals. But I like to go for the people. I go to be around people who get it. I go when I feel like I need it, and I share when I want to share. However, I do not have the sense of being entirely welcome there because of this. I can tell when someone looks at me like I’m chopped liver with a side of bullshit.
One of my friends goes to these meetings, too. I find myself attending, trying to be more involved, and other things just to please them and others. It is diverting my attention away from my true “why”.
No one asked me to stop drinking. I was a closet drinker, and my choice to stop came as a surprise to those close to me. I have to remember that, despite others not being concerned about my drinking, I was terrified and at such a dark low. I am doing all of this for me. For that terrified, miserable young man.
I am at a plateau. I feel damned if I stay sober, and damned if I don’t. Either way, I’m still depressed, I’m still second-guessing, losing sight, but I’m still not drinking today. I’m simply sitting here with all of this. If I just sit with it, it can’t hurt me.

 | Wow, first off all I want to say that this was my very first time trying psychedelics and I am shook. But In such a positive way- anyways let me explain. My and my very good friend decided to take 7 HBWR seeds but ended up each taking 10 cause- we wanted to know I guess. submitted by Schaschlool_13 to LSA [link] [comments] 15:15 o’clock: we each take the 10 seeds and just chew, keep them in our mouth for 20 minutes and then we swallow. After that we noticed that we still wanted to grab some energy-drinks and ran outside hoping to go to the store to grab them. We arrive there just fine, grab our stuff and a water but quickly notice how the vasoconstriction is setting in, making it harder to walk and operate. Then, the nausea hits. My friend notices it first and soon after it hits me like a god damn truck. Around 15:40-16:00 o’clock: The nausea really gets to me, I start to uncontrollably throw up while my body starts to feel super weak, my friend didn’t have to throw up at all. My stomach feels like it’s turning around, my fingers get cold even if I’m sweating and I’m mildly fainting right in public. A few people come by asking if I’m okay, as I had to lay down in the grass in the middle of the city because I was hardly able to walk without throwing up. Somehow I didn’t mind. Then I notice it- my perception of depth is totally starting to get messed up and colors get super bringt and saturated, everything has a strong pink hue to it. Every time I get up I feel as light as a feather and the nausea gets worse every time I move around as well. We hardly are able to cross the road as I’m nearly fainting and the sedative nature of the seeds nearly puts me to sleep. We have to stop and sit at a bench with a little table near to the flat and I lay my head down to not faint, I was close to fainting as my circulation is at its lowest point of the trip at this time. I still have to throw up regularly even if there’s nothing in my stomach anymore. Then suddenly, from nowhere- I’m okay again. Just like that, the nausea is gone, completely gone. 16:30: Here begins the real trip. As soon as we enter the stairwell I look at the walls and what do I see? A static creeping up and down the walls, the walls have cool and fascinating patterns that slightly shift around forming new patterns again and again. I try to reach my hands to my face and then truly realize how much my perception of not only space but also time has lost meaning. At this point my pupils are the size of plates and I’m so fucking fascinated that I get extremely euphoric. 16:59: The strongest feeling of euphoria I’ve ever felts hits me right in the guts. I was so happy i jumped up and down, I cheered and my smile hurt from smiling so much. I’ve been struggling with depression for over 3 years now and then I realize something. I need to fight to be happy, I want to be happy and I need to fight my depression to get the only thing that matters in life - happiness. I get so determined to finally get help, something I’ve always tried to avoid. The urge to fight, to stand up and beat depressions ass is so unbearably strong I cannot resist it. Then I realize more! Me throwing up so hard that I cried felt like getting rid of that inner unhappiness, like that black blob of depression is leaving me and finally letting me feel inner peace. I was so happy! After that me and my friend Philosophize around and realize so much that it feels like we’re finally… waking up. How much happiness matters and how important self love is, but also how all we do and our beings itself is all just energy. We are all the same but all so different nonetheless. A fascinating experience I’ve needed so much in my life. When I look down onto my keyboard the letters are morphing, getting smaller and then bigger again. In a hurry I rush to the mirror and see myself, but I, myself, am looking at my mirror imagine from a third person view. It’s like I’m looking at myself from someone else’s eyes. I realize my being and my self, truly incredible as the disassociation is very strong. I also suddenly have the urge to love and hug every single being on this earth, I’m filled with an overwhelming amount of love and true satisfaction. So…. That’s it my friends, I hope you enjoyed! I sometime run a process improvement exercise where large groups work together to solve a problem. When they solve it, they do it again and again to improve their pace. Ultimately teams go from achieving the goal in 1 hour, to achieving the goal in 5 seconds. It takes about 3 hours for a team of 20. Everyone has to work together perfectly to achieve this goal at pace.
The learning comes as the team realises that changes to the approach usually push out the time before it comes down again. Teams get worse before they get better. It’s at these points of change that some teams revert back to what they now, and never improve.
Have we become a team that is incapable of playing to a structure? Have we never had a coach long enough to take us through this process? Are we at a tipping point where we either revert back to what we’ve always done, or push on to finally playing with structure?

I have a spreadsheet that contains case information for insurance plan members. I would like the spreadsheet to show one row for each case number + plan number combination (some cases are for members with more than one plan so the case appears on the report more than once due to multiple plan numbers - that's fine) that shows the member's earliest effective date and latest termination date on that plan. However, there is currently one row for each case number + plan number + year combination. For example, this data is currently in three separate rows on the report:
Case #: 123 Plan #: 445566 Effective date: 1/1/20 Term date: 12/31/20
Case#: 123 Plan #: 445566 Effective date: 1/1/21 Term Date: 12/31/21
Case#: 123 Plan #: 445566 Effective date: 1/1/22 Term Date: 12/31/22
What I want the spreadsheet to show for that example is just one row, with the effective date being 1/1/20 and term date being 12/31/22.
There are many other columns on the report and some of that data is causing cases to be on the report more than once. I'll deal with that later. However, when there are multiple duplicate rows with the only difference being the effective and term dates, I would like to condense it to one row with the earliest effective date from all rows in the effective date column and the latest termination date from all rows in the term date column. Is it possible to a) identify rows where all the data is the same except the effective/term date columns and b) condense it as I indicated?
This report has over 40,000 rows and about 30 columns, so I can't really do any is this manually.

Hey y’all, I’m building a 12.3” right now that will end up with a Polonium K on it. I haven’t decided if I should direct thread it or attach it via Rearden, but I have plenty of time to make that choice
Here are the requirements for the handguard I’m looking for: - M-lok - DDC/Tanodized color - 10”-12”
I just ordered an Aero Kodiak Brown 10.3” Handguard on Optics Planet but am happy to cancel/return if I find something else. The upper and lower receivers are both an aero Kodiak brown and it looks slick, but I’d prefer a Geiselle handguard if possible.
I currently own a 13.5” Geissele MK8 so I considered chopping it but I’m afraid the front of the handguard would be super white and look out of place after being cut up

I believe my previous posts will link below regarding my (30f) relationship with my maternal grandmother. I finally decided to go semi NC with my grandmother and I wrote her a letter that I worked on for two weeks with my therapist explaining how she has impacted me over the years. I didn't use blaming language, I tried to not be intentional hurtful, and I used "I feel statements." I did say her daughtemy mom was controlling and critical of me (but I left out the part where she abused my entire life.) I never said she wanted a relationship with me so I could help her (mentioning that for when you read below.)
My dad since remarried an incredible woman. This infuriated my grandmother so she asked for my dad to bring her some items of my mother's . He brought them to her and the letter I wrote her. This was last month.
My dad reaches out today and said my grandmother called and texted him about me. She said she believes I blocked. her (I did. Her name on my phone gives me physical anxiety) she then sends my dad texts that she sent me. I am pasting these below . The advice I need is-Do you think these texts show that she isn't /can't be remorseful? Or should I try again to have a gray rock relationship with her?
Text 1: "I decided to tell u about [My grandfather's] health. I haven't told u before. I didn't want u think I was trying to get u to visit us. He has a rare autoimmune disease it is myasthenia gravis ( it affects the muscles) breathing, eyes swelling, strength, walking etc. He has infusions every other week. He has a liver disease, diabetes, tumor on his kidney. None of these were caused by lifestyle. He has bone on bone on his knee, that can't be fixed by surgery. Due to the MG. He was in the hospital in th March. He only goes out to go to the dr. We are going to 3rd. Dr this week to see if he can give him anything to help his knee. I'm telling you this now, because I don't want u to say. I didn't know he is sick. The reason they can't fix the knee, it's tooo dangerous to put him to sleep. Due to the M.G.
