Found out in Ghosts of the Deep that if you can finisher an ad right at the Deepsight reveal spot you are much safer during the animation + you can move right after the finisher is done.

A friend and i just ran "Ghost of the deep" and encountered a random Luminous Eye in the parkour section befor the second encounter. It only spawned if we climbed up the wall. I couldn't find anything about it online. Not sure if it is intended to spawn there or just a bug. Sry if this is had been posted already.

in the salvage mission I was messing around and tried to take a wrench that was leftover to the end of the activity, when you go into the underwater section after the first encounter, you can pick the wrench back up while you’re falling into the water and it will put you in third-person underwater. Also upon dropping the wrench underwater, it then takes your weapons out.

I made it to the second phase and it seemed like it was going to be 20 damage phases.
I was using Well, arblest and Hothead. Should I try Acruis instead? I just worry about damaging the shield enough for damage since he knocks you around out of your well. I was also using sunbracers on him as well and still wasn’t doing much. I mean it was like 5% worth of damage.
Edit: Thanks for all your advice but after 2 hours of just trying while I had the CP I give up. I die from the worse things and it’s just not arguing with me. I’ve tried switching from Arby to both Lament/Acruis and I guess I’m not clearing the knight fast enough for a damage phase. Thanks for all the advice.

2023.06.01 22:55 Echo4708 About next season and the reprised raid

Whilst Wrath of the Machine is the obvious answer, we need to consider why Wrath may not return and what may happen if it does return.
After thinking about this there are alot of points that surprisingly contradict eachother, so I'll just state them.
The reason I'm saying this is because it feels like Crota's End is actually more likely to return. Alot of the Hive assets are already in the game like the lamps from the maze, the totems, plates, Hive architecture and more.
Basically, bringing Wrath back might not be the most obvious answer unless I'm reading into everything WAY too much, which I probably am.
EDIT: about the story of SIVA, I'm only talking in that case IF we get a SIVA focused season. The raid itself will be non-canon, as KF and VoG returning are non-canon.
I only mention the assets and the story in the sense of it feels like a weird decision to bring in quite a fair amount of assets exclusively for the raid and not resue them for other content such as a season.

I don’t have a video since my Xbox storage is full but I was playing around with the new titan chestplate that lets you throw your shield, and I realized that if you throw you grenade while in sentinel shield, it doesn’t let you throw your shield, but your grenade instead! Don’t know if that’s helpful or bad, but thought I’d mention it. Also sorry if it was already mentioned.

2023.05.31 19:28 EyeInTheSky127 Possible secret in mayday mayday mission.

I noticed that, at the very beginning of the mission, you can go backwards and open the door behind you in the water. You can parkour your way back up and there are oxygen bubbles along the way.
I’ve gotten up the path and to the point where you start scaling around the circular tunnel that goes up, but I can’t get all the way to the top. I believe the hive statue holding the axe and sword are at the top. Has anyone else tried this?

2023.05.31 11:07 Pitbu11s with season of the deep fixing the previously unkillable tormentor, would there be any way to now cheese the first root of nightmares secret chest without running encounters?

I guess for anybody who might've missed it with a lot of the more interesting patch notes, from the 7.1.0 patch notes is
"Fixed an issue where players progressing backwards in Root of Nightmares to the hidden chest location in the Scission encounter space would see Cavum of Nezarec in a T-Pose and be unable to defeat it."
Now I am not smart with this stuff, I rely pretty heavily on smarter and much more patient people who figure this out but I'm pretty sure this means we can AT LEAST backtrack from scission checkpoint now to grab the secret chest, but me not expecting a lot of people to be holding scission checkpoints in the first place I'm wondering if there would potentially be a way to get there without even having a checkpoint, just from the start of the raid, or maybe even from the much more commonly held Nezarec checkpoint like the 2nd RoN secret chest
not sure if there were already attempts to do this before the fix only to be met with the Tormentor, or if it's been impossible (or at least unknown) even without the Tormentor from the start

Found both the plant and the flora:
1) When you drop down the shaft with the fan after the first encounter, you need to drop close to the edge and turn around to get into a doorway roughly halfway up the shaft. It’s inside the room.
2) When you’re back in the coral after that section it’s after the second drop. Turn around after you drop and you’ll see a small piece of coral with an obvious glow to the left.

2023.05.30 08:08 Supremecool185 How much health does Simmumah Ur-Nokru REALLY have?

Tl;DR: about 8 million
I've seen a lot of comments about how tanky this boss is, citing health values in the 10 millions but a lot of these posts arent quite accurate. I decided to look into this myself and the results have been.... maddening.
The first most obvious thing to note is that yes, the shield you have to break at the start of each damage phase DOES contribute to the end screen damage numbers. You would think this completely explains the wild ranges of health people have been reporting, ive seen end screens showing as little as 7 million damage, and as much as 13 million. So to find how much of that damage is health and how much is shield I started collecting some data from as many dungeon clears i could find where they show the end screen, including many of my own. If we say "x" is the amount of health the shield has each damage phase, "y" is the amount of actual health the boss has, and "n" is the number of damage phases you did then n*x+y would equal the total damage displayed on the end screen. If you plot a lot of this data on a graph then you should be able to tell what the true values of x and y are by seeing where a lot of the lines intersect. Unfortunately it wouldnt be so simple...
This graph is color coded by the number of phases, the shallow black lines are 1 phases, and the steep black lines are 8 phases. The first thing I noticed is that there isnt any clear point all the lines intersect like you would expect them to. You can also notice that 1 and 2 phases have SIGNIFIGANTLY less total damage delt than most other numbers of phases. If you were to remove the 1 and 2 phases then ther is what looks like a pretty clear intersection around 8 million health, which is what I stated in the TL;DR but im not entirely confident in that.
Taking a new direction I collected some new data. Using a few different weapons I broke the bosses shield then wiped to see the damage numbers. If I could lock in how much health the shield has then the boss health would be easy to find. Ill make all my data avaliable to view here:
This is where it starts to get maddening. Using the estimate of the shields health and subtracting that from my numbers for total damage we should start seeing health values reasonable close together. Unfortunately we do not at all. The bosses health still varies with a range of nearly 3 million. You can see the 2 graphs included in the spreadsheet, the first one shows what you would expect: a linear relationship between phases and total damage. The second graph makes no sense to me, it should be a nearly flat line since removing the damage added by the shield would only leave the constant health. However once again 1 and 2 phases are really off, showing wildly different health values while the rest are reasonably flat.
This is where I dont know how to continue so im opening this to the public. Im putting this out there today just in case we get a hotfix tomorrow at the weekly reset claiming that the health was bugged the whole time. Heres what you can do to help if you want the real answer to this:
If you run the dungeon, screenshot the end screen damage and comment with the number of phases you did
Do a run of the boss where you only break the shield one time and then wipe, share those damage numbers too
If you actually know anything about analyzing data (I dont) then feel free to take a crack at the numbers I have, I'll be updating it as i see comments here

I've seen tips for arbalest and acrius but neither of us have the catalysts for that. We are using void hunter and strand hunter (I might switch to arc).

2023.05.30 01:31 Dazzling-Fortune9986 Ghosts of the Deep NEW Speed Strat - Skip to the Boss
This new strat is likely to become the norm in speed runs soon. It shaves off around 6 minutes easily and can save much more. There are a lot of new things in this video so let me explain.
First, the tank breach is something I came across around a year ago and didn't think much of it but now it's InSaNe for this. To do the tank breach you need to position the tank to where its as close to the ground as possible then ride your sparrow under it and get out. This puts you under the map and makes the whole skip possible.
Second, later on in the video there is a glitch of me skipping a decent portion of the water. To do this you need to use ballistic slam and aim at the right angle to zoom through the water skipping the later half of the water.
Finally, to actually do this in a run one person will leave immediately via the tank breach. That person will stop right before the checkpoint inside the wreckage. A second person will go out of bounds when there is about one symbol left to dunk and they will be ready to hit the ocean floor checkpoint. Now the person in the first encounter will hit the first two checkpoints and that will allow the First person to start the Boss Encounter.
