I have been in LA since May 6th, but every day I'm here I'm more and more confused about where I want to live. Based on the info below, where do you think I should check out?
About me: I'm a 29, queer, poc, single woman, hoping to make a career in art/writing. I moved to find more creatives & community, to find my future wife, and to enjoy the warm weather. I do really enjoy swimming, so ideally would love access to a pool or beach. And I really need walkability to get me out of the house, and access to good parks (esp 420 friendly ones). I love thrifting and markets, I am a night owl so really love it when there are places open late near me. And I do have a car, but I really enjoy being able to hop on a bus or walk somewhere instead of having to drive 100%. I would love to have a ~500-600 sq ft studio that feels modern. My budget is under $2800/month
Places I've looked into, and the hesitations that make me confused:
West Hollywood: Very pricey and people say it's catered to predominantly white male gays. Love the nightlife and general greenery
Los Feliz: Pricey, not many apartments, and people say it gets boring living there. Very cute and I like the vermont/hillhurst strips
Silver Lake: Pricey, not many apartments, not very walkable, and people say it's kinda fake/hipster. I love the thrifting opportunities and central location
Echo Park: Pricey, not many apartments. I like the park and location, but not sure if I can find an apartment there.
North Hollywood: Feels small and a bit removed; the walkability of it is kind of limited to a few streets. I do like that it's a bit of a chiller vibe and has a good amount affordable apartments.
DTLA: Everyone seems to have a horror story of living in DTLA. I was about to sign on an apartment in South Park, but was worried that the mess and griminess of the city would get to me. Love the walkability, but not sure if it's safe at night.
Santa Monica: Pricey, lots of tech people. Santa Monica feels like SF where artists are getting priced out, so I'm worried about not finding my people. Otherwise, good walkability and beach access
Long Beach: Far from most other places, I'm a bit worried about there not being as much to do. Seems like there's a good queer community here, good access to the beach and generally walkable in some areas.
Feel free to share new places I should check out! Honestly, I am having a hard time feeling like I love LA. I've lived in SF and Seattle before, and LA just feels very harsh and disparate in many areas by comparison. I feel like in SF/Seattle, you could kind of live most places and be able to access everything else quickly. Not so much here, so I've really been stressing about where I should go. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

On my Zaku 2 I dressed it up in camoflagues, tank crew stowage and grab handles, and I would like to do the same for the Zock buut.... its an Aquatic suit. Does anyone know how to do Aquatic Painting and Greebling? This Zock I want to dress up as if it lurks in the depths of the Amazon, sitting and spying on Feddie activity above for week+. Its a siege vehicle lying in wait for the time to strike. The thing is larger than the regular zock since I upsized some things, so it probably will have a crew larger than 1. I can't seem to decide where I want the greebling, and what they should look like. Examples: Ladder Handles, Walkways with guard rails, Periscope. Further examples would be: Radar, Sensors and jamming equipment though this might not have to be shown and could be stored inside? I've modelled in torpedo / missile tubes into the hands to try and make it less of a particle-beam one trick. My problems stem from its odd shape, and that its mirrored front to back so IDK where to put this stuff. My nature greebling is to paint it like a warship, add rust streaks, add mussels/ barnacles around the legs / most submerged areas, add seaweed stalks around joints and then general weathering like paint chipping, algae. Hey guys! I’m about to buy Oakley Radar Prizm for running but I’m looking for some advice. I live in Bergen Norway, there are a lot of cloudy days (approximately 70%) but also in sufficiently sunny weather I want to feel comfortable. Does Oakley have some lens average for this type of weather. I will buy some clear lenses for to cloudy weather. But the question of lenses for my average weather is still open.
Will be grateful for any advice and experience of using, maybe find someone from my city or with similar weather conditions,

Arlene degenerates into a remnant low
Satellite imagery analysis indicates that Arlene's convective structure has deteriorated enough that it can no longer be considered a tropical cyclone. Animated infrared imagery depicts a few sporadic bursts of deep convection firing up to the northeast of Arlene's completely exposed low-level circulation, but otherwise, the system is devoid of any meaningful convection as it drifts southeastward toward the Straits of Florida. Thus, the National Hurricane Center has determined that Arlene is now a remnant low and has discontinued issuing advisories.Forecast discussion
Heavy rainfall is still possible across portions of Florida and Cuba
Arlene's remnants are moving southeastward, embedded within the anticyclonic low-level flow around a surface trough situated along the western coast of Florida. This afternoon, the low will turn eastward around the base of this trough and enter the Straits of Florida. Strong southwesterly shear, combined with dry mid-level air, will prevent Arlene from re-organizing; however, heavy rainfall and isolated flooding is still possible for southern Florida and western and central Cuba over the next couple of days.On Tuesday, Arlene's remnants will emerge from the Straits of Florida and turn northeastward toward the northern Bahamas. Redevelopment will remain highly unlikely as the system drifts into the open waters of the Atlantic later in the week.
