Chat GPT Death Battle tournament. Round 1!
2023.06.09 02:40 HOCKHOCKHOCKHOCKHOCK Chat GPT Death Battle tournament. Round 1!
| Current Bracket A while ago I had commenters vote on which characters they wanted to see in the tournament and I was able to actually get 16 The rules are simple. The tournament bracket was decided by age of the comment. First and Second comment where the first match, third and 4th were the second and so on. For each match I give a brand new ChatGPT thread the following prompt "Script a fight between [Character A] and [Character B]. The fight should start with the characters using their weaker abilities and pulling out stronger attacks as the fight goes on. You must decide who wins the fight based on logic and the fight must end in the death of the loser." I will not reset a script unless Rule 1 or 2 are broken. (Sometimes ChatGPT will literally replace the winner with "your winner pick") Character submissions were as followed (btw I don't recognize almost half of these characters lmao) Tartaglia "Childe" Ajax - Genshin Impact - BandanaDeeMain Godzilla - Godzilla franchise - Mayo_enjoyer Kratos - God of War - NovaIBoo Jack Spicer - Xiaolin Showdown - Visux The Guardian - Destiny 2 - yeet7501 Son Goku - Dragon Ball - The3ggmanisBack Xeno Vegeta - Dragon ball Xenoverse - Sensless_fella Chuck Norris - Memes Totally 100% real life facts - TheBigLover Seiya - Saint Seiya - ptlg225 Ash Williams - Evil Dead - Toxic_Gorilla Erika Furudo - Umineko - Babilonw Naruto - Naruto - Then-Wrap-3535 Cole MacGrath - Evening_Sale345 Alucard - Hellsing - Salt_Mastodon_8264 (If you meant Castlevania I'm sorry) Reverse Flash - DC comics - BMan876 Dragonborn - Skyrim - Confident-Jump-3129 LAST DISCLAIMER: ChatGPT generated every fight on their own with the rules provided. I gave them no info on either character. Incorrect representation of personalities or abilities, as well as objectively false outcomes that may come from these fights are due to limitations by the AI itself. FIGHT 1: Tartaglia (Genshin Impact) vs Godzilla (Godzilla Franchise) INT. CITY SKYLINE - DAY The towering figure of Godzilla stands amidst a devastated city, smoke rising from the wreckage. Suddenly, the water below ripples, and Tartaglia, known as Childe, emerges from beneath, his Hydro abilities ready for battle. Tartaglia: (smirking) Looks like I found myself a worthy opponent. Godzilla roars, shaking the surrounding buildings, and charges towards Tartaglia, determined to protect its territory. Tartaglia swiftly dodges Godzilla's initial strike and retaliates with his Hydro skills, unleashing a torrent of water daggers. They pierce Godzilla's thick skin, drawing blood. Godzilla roars in pain and counters with a powerful swing of its tail, aiming to knock Tartaglia off his feet. Tartaglia, using his quick reflexes, narrowly avoids the blow. Tartaglia: Impressive, but let's see how you handle this! Tartaglia unleashes his elemental skill, switching to his melee stance and summoning his Hydro blades. He charges at Godzilla, slashing at its legs with incredible speed and precision. The blades cut deep, causing Godzilla to stumble. Enraged, Godzilla releases a blast of atomic breath toward Tartaglia. The Hydro warrior quickly dives into the water, using it as a shield, as the devastating energy beam obliterates the surrounding area. Emerging from the water, Tartaglia combines his ranged and melee abilities, launching a barrage of water projectiles and slashing at Godzilla's vulnerable underbelly. The giant monster roars in pain and attempts to grab Tartaglia with its massive claws. Tartaglia uses his agility to dodge the attack, leaping onto Godzilla's back. With a surge of Hydro power, he stabs his blades deep into Godzilla's spine, eliciting a pained roar. However, Godzilla, fueled by its nuclear energy, begins to glow with an intense light, healing its wounds and growing stronger. It shakes Tartaglia off, causing him to crash into a nearby building. Tartaglia struggles to his feet, his Hydro powers waning, and notices Godzilla charging up for a massive attack. Tartaglia: This ends now! Summoning every ounce of his strength, Tartaglia enters his ultimate form, Hydro Abyssal Strike. His blades transform into a massive Hydro cannon. Tartaglia fires a powerful torrent of Hydro energy towards Godzilla. The blast pierces through Godzilla's defense, creating an explosion of water and causing the mighty beast to collapse. Godzilla lies motionless, defeated, as Tartaglia surveys the aftermath of the battle. The once vibrant city is now in ruins. Tartaglia: (catching his breath) Another victory for the Fatui. Tartaglia, battered but triumphant, walks away from the scene, leaving behind the fallen titan. WINNER: Tartaglia (Genshin Impact) FIGHT 2: Kratos (God of War) vs Jack Spicer (Xiaolin Showdown) [The scene opens with Kratos, the formidable God of War, standing in an ancient, desolate battlefield. Across from him stands Jack Spicer, the mischievous and eccentric villain from Xiaolin Showdown. The tension in the air is palpable as both warriors prepare for a battle of epic proportions.] Kratos: (gruffly) You dare stand against a god, Spicer? Prepare to face the wrath of Olympus! Jack Spicer: (smirking) Oh, I'm not afraid of some washed-up deity. I've got my own tricks up my sleeve! [As the fight begins, Kratos lunges forward, swinging his chained Blades of Chaos with incredible force. Jack Spicer, quick on his feet, dodges the attacks skillfully, his nimble moves allowing him to evade the deadly blades.] Jack Spicer: Hah! Is that the best you can do, Kratos? Try and catch me if you can! [Kratos, unfazed by Jack's taunts, channels his rage and unleashes a powerful Spartan Rage. His muscles bulge, and he becomes an unstoppable force. With a mighty roar, he charges at Jack, launching a devastating barrage of strikes.] [But Jack, ever the cunning trickster, pulls out a Shen Gong Wu, the Mantis Flip Coin. With a swift flip, he uses the coin's power to leap high into the air, evading Kratos' ferocious assault.] Jack Spicer: Nice try, musclehead! But it'll take more than brute force to defeat me! [Jack lands gracefully, summoning his signature tool, the Monkey Staff. As he swings it around, he channels its energy to unleash a flurry of projectiles towards Kratos. The godly warrior skillfully deflects them with his blades, each deflection creating a thunderous impact.] Kratos: (smirking) You underestimate the power of a true warrior, Spicer. [Enraged, Kratos channels his immense strength and summons the power of the Spartan Shield. As he slams it into the ground, a shockwave ripples outward, knocking Jack off his feet and causing the ground to tremble.] [Unfazed by the display of power, Jack quickly recovers and reveals another Shen Gong Wu, the Silk Spitter. With a mischievous grin, he shoots sticky silk webs towards Kratos, hoping to immobilize the mighty god.] [But Kratos, tapping into his godly abilities, summons the Winds of Hades. A powerful gust of wind emanates from him, tearing through the webs and sending them flying back towards Jack.] [Realizing the fight is escalating to dangerous levels, Jack desperately reaches into his bag of tricks, pulling out the Shen Gong Wu that gives him the most power—the Moby Morpher. With a flash of light, he transforms into a formidable cyborg warrior.] Jack Spicer: (grinning manically) Now I'm unstoppable, Kratos! Prepare for the end! [As Jack charges at Kratos with newfound strength, the God of War, undeterred, draws upon his most potent weapon—the Leviathan Axe. With a mighty swing, he cleaves through Jack's cyborg armor, shattering it into pieces.] [As Jack falls to the ground, defeated and severely wounded, Kratos stands over him, his gaze cold and unforgiving.] Kratos: You dared challenge a god, and now you face the consequences. Your reign of chaos ends here. [With one final strike, Kratos delivers a fatal blow, ending Jack Spicer's life.] [The battlefield falls silent as Kratos, bloodied but victorious, surveys the aftermath of the battle. His godly power once again triumphant.] WINNER: Kratos (God of War) FIGHT 3: The Guardian (Destiny 2) vs Son Goku (Dragon Ball) INT. DESTINY 2 ARENA - DAY The Guardian, a legendary warrior clad in futuristic armor, stands confidently in the center of the arena. On the other side, Son Goku, an indomitable martial artist with spiky black hair, assumes his fighting stance. The crowd roars in anticipation as the battle between two powerful worlds is about to commence. The Guardian and Goku exchange nods, acknowledging each other's strength and determination. They begin circling each other, assessing their opponent's abilities. Goku charges forward, launching a barrage of punches at the Guardian, who swiftly dodges and counters with a precision knife strike. Goku manages to block the attack with his arm, showcasing his incredible durability. Guardian: Impressive! But let's see how you handle this! The Guardian conjures a Void energy grenade, hurling it towards Goku. The explosive impact sends Goku flying back, crashing into the arena wall. He quickly recovers and counters with a Kamehameha wave, propelling himself forward. The Guardian skillfully evades Goku's attack and retaliates with a Solar hammer strike, engulfing Goku in a wave of intense flames. Goku uses his Super Saiyan form, barely surviving the flames, and counterattacks with a series of powerful punches and kicks. The battle escalates as the combatants exchange devastating blows, shaking the arena with each collision. The Guardian harnesses the power of the Arc, unleashing a torrent of lightning bolts towards Goku. Goku channels his Ki energy into a Spirit Bomb, colliding with the lightning and dispersing it. Fatigued but undeterred, Goku transcends his limits, transforming into Super Saiyan Blue. His energy surges, and his speed and strength increase exponentially. Goku charges at the Guardian, launching a series of high-speed punches and kicks that rattle the Guardian's defenses. Guardian: Is that all you've got? The Guardian focuses their Light energy, activating their ultimate form—The Sentinel. A massive Void shield surrounds the Guardian, making them impervious to Goku's attacks. Goku recognizes the danger and strategizes. He quickly teleports behind the Guardian, delivering a powerful punch to shatter the shield. Before the Guardian can react, Goku unleashes a fully powered Kamehameha wave at point-blank range. The energy wave engulfs the Guardian, overwhelming their defenses. Unable to withstand the tremendous power, the Guardian is defeated and falls to the ground, lifeless. Goku, panting and exhausted, looks at his fallen opponent with a mix of respect and sadness. Goku: You fought valiantly. Rest now, warrior. The crowd falls silent, witnessing the culmination of an epic battle. Goku's victory is apparent, but the cost is great. WINNER: Son Goku (Dragon Ball) FIGHT 4: Xeno Vegeta (Dragon Ball Xenoverse) vs Chuck Norris (Memes) [Scene: A desolate wasteland, where Xeno Vegeta and Chuck Norris stand facing each other, radiating power.] Narrator: In the ultimate clash of universes, two legends prepare to engage in an epic battle. On one side, we have Xeno Vegeta, a Saiyan warrior hailing from the Dragon Ball Xenoverse, possessing immense power and skill. On the other side, Chuck Norris, a meme-born legend, known for his indomitable strength and martial arts prowess. As the fighters prepare, the air crackles with anticipation. Xeno Vegeta: So, Chuck Norris, I've heard tales of your legendary skills. Let's see if you can handle a true Saiyan warrior! Chuck Norris: Hmph! I've faced countless opponents, and none have stood a chance. Prepare to be defeated, Xeno Vegeta! [Round 1: Opening Attacks] Xeno Vegeta: (charging energy in his hand) Galick Gun! [Vegeta unleashes a powerful energy blast, aimed straight at Chuck Norris. However, Norris quickly sidesteps and counters with his own attack.] Chuck Norris: (swiftly) Roundhouse Kick! [Norris's kick connects with Vegeta's Galick Gun, dissipating the energy blast. Both fighters step back, realizing the power of their opponent.] [Round 2: Escalating Power] Xeno Vegeta: Impressive, Norris. But I'm just getting started! Super Saiyan! [Vegeta's hair turns golden as he taps into his Super Saiyan power, increasing his speed and strength.] Chuck Norris: Not bad, Vegeta. But I've got my own tricks. Ultra Instinct! [Norris's eyes glimmer with a silver hue as he enters a state of perfect self-movement, predicting and dodging attacks effortlessly.] [The battle intensifies as Vegeta and Norris exchange a flurry of punches, kicks, and energy blasts. Each fighter showcases their unique abilities, pushing themselves to the limit.] [Round 3: Unleashing Devastating Techniques] Xeno Vegeta: (breathing heavily) You're strong, Norris, but can you handle this? Final Shine Attack! [Vegeta forms a massive energy ball above his head, charging it with incredible power, and launches it towards Norris.] Chuck Norris: (calmly) It's time to end this. Norris Roundhouse! [Norris spins in a blur, generating a cyclone of immense force that clashes with Vegeta's Final Shine Attack.] [The resulting explosion shakes the battlefield, leaving a cloud of smoke obscuring the fighters.] [Final Round: The Decisive Strike] [Narrator: With the smoke clearing, the fate of the battle hangs in the balance.] Xeno Vegeta: (emerging from the smoke, visibly injured) Norris... you're tougher than I thought. Chuck Norris: (standing tall, a few scratches on his body) Likewise, Vegeta. But this ends now! [Norris channels his legendary strength, gathering it into a single, devastating attack.] Chuck Norris: Ultimate Memetic Fist! [With a thunderous punch, Norris releases an unimaginable force, obliterating Vegeta and the surrounding area in a colossal explosion.] Narrator: And so, Chuck Norris emerges victorious, harnessing the limitless power of the meme universe. Xeno Vegeta, valiant though he was, falls defeated in the face of Norris's unmatched strength. [Chuck Norris stands amidst the wreckage, the battlefield trembling beneath his feet, as he looks on with an expression of victory and satisfaction.] Narrator: In this clash of legends, Norris reigns supreme. A true champion of the meme universe. [Scene fades out as the legend of Chuck Norris grows even stronger.] Note: The outcome of the battle is based on the premise that Chuck Norris, being a meme legend, possesses invincible strength and power within the meme universe. The result may not adhere to the canonical power levels established in the Dragon Ball series. WINNER: Chuck Norris (memes) before we get into the next fight i didn't actually add the note there, chatgpt did. i added this note tho... FIGHT 5: Seiya (Saint Seiya) vs Ash Williams (Evil Dead) Scene: A desolate battleground, with ruins and debris scattered around. Seiya, the Bronze Saint, stands tall, donning his iconic Pegasus Cloth. On the other side, Ash Williams, the chainsaw-wielding hero, appears, ready to face off against Seiya. The tension fills the air as the battle begins. Seiya: (Confidently) "Prepare yourself, Ash! I'll show you the power of the Cosmos!" Ash: (Smirking) "Well, well, a shiny tin can. Let's dance!" Seiya initiates the fight with a series of swift punches and kicks, showcasing his extraordinary speed and combat skills. Ash, though not possessing supernatural abilities, relies on his quick reflexes and agility to dodge Seiya's attacks, managing to retaliate with his trusty shotgun. The Bronze Saint's Pegasus Ryuseiken clashes with Ash's shotgun blasts, creating sparks and smoke. Seiya: (Focused) "Impressive, but let's see how you handle this!" Seiya taps into his Cosmo energy, radiating an intense aura around him. His attacks become faster and more powerful as he uses the Pegasus Comet Fist, creating explosive impacts upon contact. Ash, realizing the increasing danger, summons the Necronomicon, reciting an incantation. The ground trembles as small demonic creatures rise from the earth to distract Seiya momentarily. Seiya: (Determined) "I won't be swayed by your tricks, Ash! I'll surpass my limits!" Seiya channels his Cosmo energy to its peak, ascending to his Seventh Sense. His Pegasus Meteor Fist launches a barrage of devastating punches, each carrying the force of a meteor. Ash, battered and bloodied, activates his chainsaw and prosthetic hand, gaining an extra edge. He swiftly maneuvers, using his resourcefulness to block and counter Seiya's attacks. Seiya: (Exhausted but resolute) "This ends now, Ash! Pegasus Rolling Crush!" Seiya performs his signature move, the Pegasus Rolling Crush. His fists spin with tremendous speed, creating a whirlwind of destructive force. Ash fights back valiantly, but the immense power overwhelms him. Unable to defend himself, he succumbs to the relentless assault, his body battered and broken. Ash: (Weakly) "Damn... you... Saint... too strong..." Seiya: (Breathing heavily) "It's over, Ash. Rest in peace." Seiya delivers a final, powerful blow, causing Ash to collapse, lifeless, onto the battlefield. The clash of worlds ends, leaving Seiya victorious. WINNER: Seiya (Saint Seiya) FIGHT 6: Erika Furudo (Umineko) vs Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto) Setting: A vast open field, surrounded by dense forests. The sky is clear, and an aura of anticipation hangs in the air as two legendary warriors prepare to face each other. Erika Furudo, a cunning detective from the Umineko series, stands confidently, her piercing gaze fixed upon Naruto Uzumaki, the spirited ninja from the Naruto series. Erika: (smirking) "Naruto Uzumaki, you're about to face the might of my analytical prowess. Let's begin, shall we?" Naruto: (grinning) "Heh, bring it on! Believe it! Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto creates several clones of himself, surrounding Erika from all sides. Erika analyzes the situation quickly and swiftly starts her counterattack. Erika: "Red Truth: These clones are mere illusions, unable to cause any real harm!" With her power of deduction, Erika sees through Naruto's clones and dispels them effortlessly. Naruto: (impressed) "Not bad, but I'm just getting started! Rasengan!" Naruto forms a spinning ball of chakra in his hand and charges towards Erika, aiming to deliver a powerful blow. Erika evades Naruto's Rasengan by using her quick reflexes and agility. She counters with her own set of abilities. Erika: "Blue Truth: Your Rasengan is a formidable attack, but it relies on close combat. Let's see how you handle this!" Erika conjures a series of magic circles around Naruto, trapping him momentarily. Naruto: (gritting his teeth) "Shadow Shuriken Jutsu!" Naruto throws a barrage of shuriken, targeting Erika from different angles. Erika skillfully dodges Naruto's shuriken, but realizes the need to take more decisive action. Erika: "Golden Truth: The outcome of this battle will be decided by my intellect and strategy!" Erika unleashes her most potent weapon, the Book of Truth. Its pages turn, and she recites an incantation. Erika's Book of Truth casts a powerful spell, engulfing Naruto in a vortex of energy. Naruto struggles, but his determination refuses to waver. Naruto: (grinning) "I won't go down that easily! Nine-Tails Chakra Mode!" Naruto taps into the immense power of the Nine-Tailed Fox within him, enveloping himself in a glowing chakra aura. Naruto charges forward, aiming to break free from Erika's spell. However, Erika's analytical prowess proves to be her greatest strength. Erika: (confidently) "Red Truth: No matter how strong you become, your fate is sealed." With her superior knowledge and understanding of Naruto's abilities, Erika casts a final, unbreakable spell, sealing Naruto's fate and extinguishing his life force. Naruto: (weakened, gasping) "I... I can't... believe..." With Naruto's defeat, his life force dissipates, leaving Erika standing victorious amidst the aftermath. WINNER: Eriku Furudo (Umineko) FIGHT 7: Cole MacGrath (Infamous) vs Alucard (Hellsing) INT. ABANDONED CITY - NIGHT The scene is set in a desolate, crumbling city, with flickering streetlights and a dark, eerie atmosphere. Lightning crackles in the distance as Cole MacGrath, a young man with electrical superpowers, and Alucard, a powerful vampire with shape-shifting abilities, face each other. COLE MACGRATH (focused) You've caused enough chaos. It ends here, Alucard! ALUCARD (smiling) Oh, how delightful! A worthy opponent. Cole charges up his electrical energy, crackling with power. Alucard transforms into a swarm of bats, swirling around Cole before reassembling himself. COLE MACGRATH (releasing a burst of electricity) Static Thrusters! Cole propels himself towards Alucard, surrounded by a glowing electric aura. Alucard dodges nimbly, but a stray bolt catches him, causing him to stagger. ALUCARD (chuckling) Impressive, but let's see how you handle this! Alucard extends his hand, and shadows coalesce around him, forming a long, monstrous shadow blade. He lunges at Cole, who responds by summoning a massive electrical hammer, charged with electric sparks. COLE MACGRATH (swinging the hammer) Thunderclap! The ground shakes as Cole slams the hammer down, causing a powerful shockwave of electricity to surge through the area. Alucard is thrown back, momentarily stunned. ALUCARD (amused) You have some fight in you, but I am not so easily defeated. Alucard smirks and vanishes into the shadows, reappearing behind Cole with his razor-sharp claws extended. Cole reacts swiftly, creating an electric shield just in time to block Alucard's attack. COLE MACGRATH (gritting his teeth) You're quick, but I can keep up! Cole channels electricity into his fists, charging them with immense power. He delivers a series of lightning-fast punches, each strike sending bolts of energy towards Alucard. ALUCARD (laughing) Such vibrant energy! But it's time to unveil my true power. Alucard's body begins to change, growing larger and more monstrous. His eyes glow with an eerie red light as he releases an aura of dark energy, causing the surrounding area to tremble. COLE MACGRATH (sternly) What the hell are you? ALUCARD (fierce) I am Alucard, the No-Life King! Prepare to witness true darkness! Alucard's transformation is complete, and he charges at Cole with incredible speed and strength, striking him with devastating blows. Cole's electrical attacks barely leave a scratch on Alucard's regenerating body. COLE MACGRATH (winded) Damn it! This is tougher than I thought. Determined, Cole summons his most powerful ability. He levitates off the ground, his body enveloped in an electric tornado, crackling with immense energy. COLE MACGRATH (yelling) Ionic Storm! Cole unleashes a devastating storm of lightning bolts, targeting Alucard from all directions. The energy rips through the environment, tearing apart buildings and reducing the surroundings to rubble. ALUCARD (grinning) Impressive, but not enough to stop me! Alucard's body absorbs the electrical energy, enhancing his powers further. He retaliates with a barrage of dark projectiles and releases an energy blast that tears through Cole's defenses, striking him directly. COLE MACGRATH (weakly) No... it can't end like this. Cole falls to his knees, weakened and exhausted. Alucard approaches him, a wicked smile on his face. ALUCARD (victorious) Your resistance was admirable, but your power is nothing compared to mine. With a swift motion, Alucard plunges his claws into Cole's chest, draining his life force and ending his existence. ALUCARD (satisfied) Rest in darkness, Cole MacGrath. WINNER: Alucard (Hellsing) FIGHT 8: Reverse Flash (DC comics) vs Dragonborn (Skyrim) INT. TIME VORTEX - DAY Reverse Flash (Eobard Thawne), the malevolent speedster from the DC universe, and Dragonborn, the legendary hero from Skyrim, find themselves locked in a deadly battle within a swirling time vortex. They both prepare for a fight, their powers at the ready. REVERSE FLASH (Grinning) Ah, the Dragonborn! A mere mortal against my mastery of speed. Let's see how you fare against the fastest man alive! DRAGONBORN (Gripping his weapon) You may be quick, but I wield the power of the Thu'um. Prepare to face the fury of the Dragonborn! The fight begins. Reverse Flash unleashes a barrage of super-speed punches, each one a blur. Dragonborn, with his enhanced reflexes, manages to dodge most of the strikes, countering with swift sword slashes and fire spells. Reverse Flash, impressed by Dragonborn's agility, taps into the Negative Speed Force, temporarily enhancing his speed. He moves faster than ever, landing rapid blows and disorienting Dragonborn. However, the Dragonborn relies on his powerful shouts to create shockwaves that keep Reverse Flash at bay. As the fight progresses, Reverse Flash pushes Dragonborn to the edge, testing his limits. Dragonborn, feeling the weight of the situation, channels his inner strength and uses the powerful "Dragonrend" shout, which weakens and grounds even the mightiest of dragons. The shout catches Reverse Flash off guard, momentarily slowing him down. Dragonborn seizes the opportunity, unleashing a devastating flurry of sword strikes empowered by his Thu'um, landing blow after blow on Reverse Flash. Reverse Flash, realizing the severity of the situation, taps into the full potential of his speed force, gaining immense speed and healing abilities. He dodges Dragonborn's attacks with ease, his movements barely perceivable. The fight reaches its climax as Reverse Flash vibrates his hand at super-speed, phasing it through Dragonborn's defenses, and impales him with a vibrating hand through the chest. DRAGONBORN (Choking, blood spilling) It seems... your speed... is too much... for me... Reverse Flash withdraws his hand, leaving Dragonborn to crumble to the ground, lifeless. REVERSE FLASH (Victorious) Your shouts were impressive, Dragonborn, but against the might of the speed force, you stood no chance. Your time is over. Reverse Flash, victorious and triumphant, steps away from the fallen Dragonborn, leaving behind a battle-worn hero whose deeds will forever be remembered. WINNER: Reverse Flash (DC comics) Round 1 is over! Round 2 will be done when my lazy ass updates the tournament bracket picture lol. I am keeping each ChatGPT thread so if you have any questions you would like to ask the AI about the fight comment below and I'll try to get them answered. The one question I asked each time was for the AI to state their logic for who won the fight, if you want to see the logic the AI gave just comment which fight you want the logic for and I'll respond as fast as I can. Feel free to discuss which matches you think the AI got wrong or anything else really! Also I've been doing these on my own for about a few weeks now. Reverse Flash vs Dragonborn is honestly the first time I can remember seeing the AI mention blood. Even the multiple matches using Kratos, Omni man or Homelander it never mentions blood directly. Their power is so great they managed to break the AI talking about them. submitted by HOCKHOCKHOCKHOCKHOCK to deathbattle [link] [comments] |

2023.06.09 01:25 AuthorInHell Sweet Cheeks
This is definitely a fanfiction, something to write when I need to get my brain off of my book! Enjoy it! Or don't, I'm not your mom.
I think I heard somewhere once that the worst days of your life start off the most mundane. Or maybe I just made that up to stop myself from overthinking every little moment that lead up to this one.
The morning started like any other (as I alluded to), birds were singing, annoyingly loud, and the sun was shining in a way that most people would describe as beautiful, but I'd describe it as sharp. Every beam of UV ray that fell from the sky jabbed into my eyes and back into my pounding skull.
"Doing alright there, Winnie?" A sweet voice asked. I looked up into Doris's eyes, full of a mixture of sympathy and amusement. I let out some kind of whine/groan and dropped my head back into my hands, where it belonged, shielding me from the offensively cheery woman standing in front of the offensively cheery light.
A loud clunk sounded and I peaked with one eye to see an empty bottle of tequila had appeared on the table in front of me. "I see you had quite the fun night," she laughed.
"Doris," I started, then stopped, wincing at the sound of my gravelly voice. I cleared my throat and started again. "Doris, woman of great kindness and wisdom, lady who hath helped raise me in this cruel and twisted world, I beg of you, get that goddamn bottle away from me, because if I catch one wiff of that stuff I'm gonna hurl."
"I'd be surprised if you have anything left in you to do so, considering the noises coming from the bathroom at 3am." The bottle was gone, tossed in the trash. I officially changed my stance on where my head belonged, picturing myself nestled in the white plastic alongside the empty carton of milk and the source of my shame.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up. Polly and I were just so caught up in celebrating her graduation, I didn't even realize how much we had been drinking until-"
"Until it all came back up," Polly finished, stumbling into the kitchen. "Yeah, same."
Doris just shook her head at us, but there was a small smile on her lips. I grabbed her hand and looked up at her pleadingly.
"Forgive me, mommy Doris?"
"There's nothing to forgive, you two were just having some fun. But you are far too old to be giving me puppy dog eyes when you think you've done something wrong, Winnie!"
"Am I also far too old for you to keep calling me Winnie? I feel like I should be sitting here in nothing but a red t-shirt, sipping honey out of a bottle." I grumbled.
"Actually, I think you did that exact thing last night," Polly teased. "Except replace honey with tequila."
Doris laughed as I glared at her. "How in gods name are you not more hungover? You drank more than I did."
"Because she's 21, and you're 25. Old, Winnie dear, too old." Doris said as she walked out of the kitchen. My jaw dropped in mock outrage as I watched her go, glancing at Polly, who was trying to cover her chortles with a cup of coffee. It didn't go well.
"Okay, well this OLD LADY is going to go shower and get ready for work," I huffed.
"Don't forget to oil your knees, grandma."
I stole the coffee out of Polly's hands for that comment alone, and her protests followed me up to the shower.
**************
Okay, so maybe it didn't start out JUST like every other day. I don't wake up hungover all that often. More often than I should, yes, but hardly every day. Keeping up with a 21 year old is incredibly difficult.
Work, on the other hand, was exactly the same. Lights on at nine, jukebox playing some country song that was too sad to be playing this early in the morning, Richard shuffling in to get his Irish coffee before church so he didn't get the shakes in the middle of his sermon. Small country town, small country life, small country bar.
Small country girl.
Maybe not for much longer, though. I swore to myself years ago that I wouldn't be stuck in this town like everyone else, but then Jim died. Polly was only 14, and Doris was an old fashion housewife, staying home to raise her daughter. I, on the other hand, was 18, and when they had brought me into their home, Jim took one look at my temper and said he knew what to do with me. Taught me all he knew about hunting, guns, and even archery. He said he liked how the bow felt in his arms, and I did too.
Polly wasn't interested in any of it. She loved animals too much. I mean, I love animals too, don't get me wrong. Show me a puppy and I'm babbling nonsense with the rest of you. But there was always something peaceful about being in the woods, surrounded by nature.
Anyway, to get back on track, I became the man of the house. I got a job at the bar to start bringing in money, I fixed things that were broken around the house, sold deer meat and bear hides for extra money. Whatever I could to help them stay on their feet.
Now, though, now Polly had graduated. She already had a job lined up at the veterinarian office in town, where her fiancé also worked. She'd be able to take care of herself, and Doris, without my help. I could leave.
The thought sent a wave of both excitement and extreme bitterness through my chest.
I sighed to myself as I dumped ice in the well. Bad thing about working a bar on a Sunday, no one is coming in until after church hours. Which means I get to be alone with my thoughts until then.
"That's gonna be future me's issue," I said to the air, and busied myself with cutting fruit.
**************
Now, the GOOD thing about working the bar on a Sunday, or really any day, is that you know everyone who is going to walk through that door, and you know exactly what they're going to order.
Small towns like this, everyone old enough to drink is a regular. (Sometimes even people who aren't old enough to drink, but the sheriff doesn't need to know that.)
Preacher Richard is at the high top by the jukebox, drinking his Irish coffee that he tells everyone is just normal coffee, but no one believes him. I mean, I have a special pot I use just for him so no one sees me putting the shots in, but they can all still see me grab a different pot when I refill his cup. Plus, whiskey smells.
His wife is next to him, sipping ice water with EXTRA lemon, the surly old bitch. Tony the tire guy is playing pool with some of the guys from his shop, drinking round after round of Budweiser and whiskey shots. (Whiskey is very popular amongst us country folk.)
You have Mariah, the token rich girl, who married the quarterback. Or left fielder? Goalie? I don't know, but I know he drinks miller by the case while she sips on a vodka soda, pretending she's not too good for all of us.
Point is, I know everyone. Makes for a predictable day. What did I tell you?
Thirteen hour shifts are long, though, so when they're also mundane, you kind of start to feel like you're going crazy.
Until two extremely tall, extremely fit, extremely...(how do I say this politely?) fucking hot, strangers walk through the door.
I swear on Preacher Richards bald head, I'm not being dramatic when I say the bar went silent. Mariah's mouth was actually hanging open. So was Preacher Richards wife's. I had to stifle a laugh at that one.
They strolled up to the bar, so casually that you could tell they were trying SUPER hard to be casual.
"Well, I haven't said this in so long, I hope it comes out okay," I say, breaking the silence. "But what can I get for you gentlemen?"
Tony the tire guy laughs, and takes a shot, and the spell is broken. Mostly. You really can't completely break it, these guys were like six foot something and so beautiful I could weep. Also, there was the fact that they were glancing around like they expect Preacher Richard to stand up and pop them one.
"So...? Beer? Whiskey? Nuts?" I offered, waving a bowl of peanuts in front of them.
The man with the shorter...well, everything, let out a soft chuckle at that.
"I'll take a whiskey, double, on the rocks."
"You're gonna want to be a bit more specific, darlin, because if not, you stand the chance of me pouring you the whiskey that Tony the tire guy drinks, and I'm pretty sure we buy it FROM him. Like, he makes it in his basement."
The guy physically recoils. "You got makers?"
"Sure do, sweet cheeks." I turned to busy myself looking for the dusty bottle so he couldn't see the look on my face as I mentally chastised myself. Sweet cheeks? SWEET CHEEKS? I'm not some old lady working the counter at a diner in the 50's. I'm also not IN my 50's.
"Uh, ma'am. There's a bottle on the shelf right there." The man said, gesturing when I turned back to him.
"Well if you knew that, why'd you ask?" I tried to tease, hoping to pass that mortifying moment unscathed. I dropped a few ice cubes into a rocks glass, dumped a whole lot more than a double of makers in with it, and handed it to him. He looked mildly alarmed at the amount, but didn't comment. Smart man.
"And for your friend?"
"Uh, just a beer for me, thanks."
I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Right, right, specifics. Uh, miller is fine."
Pop goes the bottle. "Tab?"
"What?" The long one questioned.
"Do you want to start a tab? Cause I'm gonna need to hold a card."
"You hold cards here?" The whiskey drinker asked in disbelief.
"Well, normally, no. But to be frank with you, I don't know you two, and by the reaction of the half of the town currently sitting in my bar, neither does anyone else. I'd rather not have to pay the tab of some beautiful strangers when I'm probably already gonna have to cover Phil's tab, because I haven't seen him in like an hour, and he bought a round for everyone straight outta church."
Great, first actual vomit, then word vomit.
Both men were staring at me as if I was deranged, which I was starting to believe I might be, but Whiskey Man pulled out a card and handed it to me.
"Thank you..." I glanced down at the card, "Leonard??"
"He goes by Lenny." Long boy said. Lenny glared at him but shot me a sheepish grin.
At least I wasn't the only weird one. I went to type in their order and placed the card in the register.
"Question for you," Lenny said.
"Yeah?"
"Do beautiful strangers get discounts?"
My mind flashed back to my unintentional compliment and I felt my face start to flush, but I just shot back "Not when they go by Lenny."
Long boy laughed and Lenny looked offended. "Lenny is a good name!"
I winced and looked at his friend. "How long have you been telling him that lie?"
"Long enough for him to believe it." He said, taking a swig from his beer.
Just then, a loud, slurring voice sang out (incredibly off key), "Wiiiiinnnnieeeee." And Phil magically appeared from the bathroom.
"Winnie? Really? And you're making fun of my name?"
I shot him a glare and turned my back. "Well, Phil, I'm glad to see you're still here, cause you owe me about $70. Plus tip."
"Oh, Winnie, don't be like that. Another round!"
"Nope, no more rounds, Phil. In fact, I think it's time for you to head home." I made eye contact with Tony, and he put his pool stick down to walk over. "Will you grab his wallet for me?"
Tony stuck his hand down Phil's pocket, which used to make me laugh, but this happened so often that I just found it tiring.
"Here, Win. Keep the change," Tony tossed me a hundred.
Phil worked for him part time, when he was sober enough to get his head out of the toilet, but he had sold his dads farm off to some rich overlords, so he was rolling in dough.
As Tony lead Phil out, I noticed that the two newcomers had set themselves up at a table. I also noticed the deputy, who was off duty with a beer in hand but still had his badge on full view (probably because it was bigger than his dick. Seriously. I would know.), walk up to them with a swagger that only a small town cop could have. I wanted to spy, but Phil being escorted out is always the catalyst that ends the night. Preacher Richards wife pays for the "coffee", and no tip, though the man himself slips me a $50 for keeping his not-so-secret secret, Mariah pays for her husbands miller pack with a smile, etc.
I glance at the clock and sure enough, it's 9:30. I will never understand how these people spend all day at a bar. Regardless of the fact that, I, too, have spent my whole day here. It's different, ok? Anyway, by the time it was over, the deputy had warned the boys or puffed out his skinny chest or whatever it is he does, handed me a ten with a wink (ew) and left. I began cleaning up the trash, keeping an eye on the two.
"Was it something we said?" Lenny asked, sipping his whiskey.
"Well, they heard your name was Lenny, and they knew that this was no longer the cool spot in town," I wiped off rings on the bar, a little too aggressively, trying to stay calm.
"Really, Winnie?"
"It's Winsley, actually. Look, guys. Not to ruin the small town charm, but I close in 30 minutes. The gas station down the street is open til 11, if you wanna grab some beer for your hotel."
"Oh, yeah, that's our bad. Let's head out, Lenny."
"Oh, sure thing, Barry!"
A grimace crossed over Long Boys (Barry's?) face as I let out a surprised laugh.
"Lenny and Barry, really?"
I swiped their card and handed them the receipt.
"Yeah, our uh, our parents were stoners." Barry said.
"Oh, brothers. Couldn't tell if it was that or gay lovers."
"Yeah, I really wish we didn't get that as much as we do." Lenny said, signing the paper. "Anyway. You have a good night, sweet cheeks."
Goddamn, I thought I had overserved my way past that moment. I watched them leave with a tingle of disappointment. Excitement quota for the year in Lander has been met and just waltzed out of my bar.
I glanced down at the receipt. $100 tip. Well, hot damn. (Seriously, why do I keep talking like this??)
Authors note:
I should say that this is set somewhere in season 2. I'm going to follow the main storyline as closely as possible, but the hunts and such may be a bit out of order.
LMK what you think!

2023.06.09 01:00 hansington1 [MODPOST] Shifting Sands and Rising Suns: A New Chapter Unfolds in Asia, Middle East, and Africa
Mexico News Daily
Home Business Politics
Culture Events Lifestyle Travel Food Real Estate Community
============================================================================================== Mexico City, Mexico - In a world where change is the only constant, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa are scripting their own narratives of transformation. From whispers of reunification to the birth of new political entities, these regions are at the heart of a geopolitical metamorphosis.
Big Trouble in Bigger China: In Asia, the narrative of transformation is being led by the Korean Peninsula and China, both of which have been at the center of significant geopolitical developments.
The Korean Peninsula, long divided by political ideologies and a heavily fortified border, has been the stage for a historic thaw in relations. After decades of tension, North and South Korea have embarked on a path of reunification. As of December 2022, a roadmap for this ambitious endeavor has been laid out. The world watches with a mix of anticipation and apprehension as these two nations, so long at odds, inch closer to becoming a single entity. The potential reunification of the Koreas could not only reshape the region but also recalibrate the balance of power in East Asia.
Meanwhile, China, a dominant player on the global stage, has been expanding its territorial reach. In May 2023, Mongolia was incorporated into China, a move that has significantly expanded China's geographical footprint. But Beijing didn't stop there. By August 2023, China had launched a swift military invasion of Burma (Myanmar). These aggressive moves have raised eyebrows around the world, leading to speculation about China's ambitions and the potential implications for regional stability. These developments in Asia are part of a larger narrative of change and transformation. As these nations chart their own paths, they are not only reshaping their futures but also redefining the geopolitical dynamics of the region. As we continue to navigate these uncertain times, the world watches closely, understanding that the outcomes of these changes will have far-reaching implications for the global community.
Peace in the Middle East?: In the Middle East, a region often associated with complex political dynamics and longstanding conflicts, a potential shift in the geopolitical landscape is taking shape. The protagonists of this unfolding narrative are Israel and Jordan, two nations that have embarked on a path of dialogue and potential unification. Since October 2022, Israel and Jordan have been engaged in confidential discussions about unification. This move, if it materializes, could significantly alter the political and territorial contours of the Middle East. The prospect of these two nations becoming one entity has sparked a flurry of speculation and debate, both within the region and beyond.
The discussions culminated in a referendum held in August 2023. The results of this referendum are eagerly awaited, and the anticipation is palpable. The potential unification of Israel and Jordan could not only redefine the relationship between these two nations but also have significant implications for regional stability and the broader Middle East peace process. As these developments unfold, they are being closely watched by the international community. The Middle East has long been a region of strategic importance, and any significant changes in its geopolitical landscape could have far-reaching implications. As we stand at the precipice of potential change, the world watches, waits, and speculates on the future of this ever-evolving region.
Tensions in the region have flared in recent times however with the supposed archeological dig in the former Iraqi region as a team has supposedly uncovered the legendary mines of the Biblical Figure King Solomon. The archeologists have claimed to have discovered a vast array of unground constructions and temples that heavily resemble many of the historical accounts that the mines would otherwise hold, with the notable exception of the massive wealth supposedly held within. The archeological site, while still being uncovered due to the sheer size and depth of the mines themselves, has been claimed by several organizations and groups in the area due to it’s historical and religious significance. While many are expecting a peaceful solution to ownership of the site, others are hesitant due to the region's turbulent history but many remain optimistic about the outcome.
Golden Hearts of Darkness:
In Africa, a continent known for its rich cultural diversity and complex political landscape, a new narrative is emerging. The idea of a unified Africa, long considered a distant dream, is gaining momentum and reshaping the continent's geopolitical dynamics. The African Union, in January 2023, proposed the formation of a United States of Africa. This ambitious vision, aimed at fostering unity and strengthening cooperation among African nations, has resonated with many countries on the continent. By February, the proposal had gained considerable support, marking a significant shift in the collective consciousness of the region.
This wave of unity has also sparked regional integration efforts. The East African Community and the Economic Community of West African States, two prominent regional blocs, have been exploring the possibility of integration. These discussions represent a significant step towards greater regional cooperation and economic integration. In North Africa, a similar trend has been observed. In March 2023, several North African nations came together to form the Maghreb Union. This new political entity represents a significant step towards regional unity and cooperation.
These developments in Africa are part of a larger narrative of change and transformation. As these nations chart their own paths toward unity, they are not only reshaping their futures but also redefining the geopolitical dynamics of the continent. As we continue to navigate these uncertain times, the world watches closely, understanding that the outcomes of these changes will have far-reaching implications for the global community.
These developments, while rooted in the present, are shaping the future of these regions. As nations navigate the currents of change, the world watches, speculates, and waits. The implications of these transformations are far-reaching, and their ripples will be felt across the geopolitical landscape of the 21st century. As we stand at the precipice of this new era, one thing is clear: we are witnesses to history in the making.

2023.06.09 00:34 happyreflection3898 TW: abuse. My mom doesn’t acknowledged that she abused me
My mom used to beat me so bad as a child for the smallest things. The few times I’ve brought it up she vehemently denies it ever happened. How could anyone forget that sort of behavior toward a child? I don’t have kids of my own but I can’t imagine ever beating a child at all, much less the way that I had been beaten on. It caused me so much strife to be abused the way that I was, it was more than just discipline for the sake of righting a wrong or teaching a lesson, it was a big grown adult taking out their stress and frustration on a lanky shy little girl. She channeled her angry feelings into abusing me and while I have decided to move on from my feelings of resentment for my own inner peace, I can never ever forget.
My parents took care of me financially, I was never destitute of things I needed, but the physically abuse (solely from my mom as dad was a truck driver and often gone) was more than a little spank.
When I was 6 I was learning the multiplication tables for school so she was quizzing me, I didn’t know the answer to 6x9 and she got so frustrated that she began to yell about how much of a failure I was, how I’d never be successful, pull my hair, slap and beat me so hard on the arms and back, then she locked me in her walk in closet for an hour in pitch darkness. I remember it vividly. I was so bruised up and sore the next day and all of this was over multiplication tables.
Once when I was around 9 or so I unscrewed the cap of the toothpaste and it fell out of my hand and into the sink drain on accident. She saw it happen as she was cleaning outside of the bathroom and immediately began yelling, slapped me on the head and pulled me by the hair away from the sink.
These are just two examples but I remember them the most vividly. How can someone do this to a child. She no longer yells or does this to me anymore because I’m an adult and I would never even give her the chance to ever raise a hand to me but these memories have been on my mind recently and I’m just in disbelief. If I ever have kids I could not do that. It took me a long time to relearn how to exist without constantly looking over my shoulder for someone to beat me up for making the smallest mistake.
(this is also a throwaway acct obviously)

2023.06.09 00:07 modus-_-operandi Bullying & "Zero-Sum" & Capitalism
| TW: Child Suicide, Bullying, Capitalism, Greed I'm sorry if this isn't directly related to autism in women but as a woman-person (non-binary) I feel I have to say something about the death of Lukas Illescas, a 10 year old boy who asphyxiated himself to avoid a bully at his school. This is a rant, and my brain just doesn't understand how people, not just in America (though I know it's a huge issue where I am in the USA) do not see how the channeling of adult prejudices and hatred through children, does not poison their development. Kids emulate their parents and what they see in the world, and what they see is often toxic and cruel and unforgiving. ... I'm only now starting to truly unpack the years of bullying I experienced and how it STILL affects me to this day. I can't imagine how much worse everything is now. For a TEN YEAR OLD CHILD to hang himself after begging to not go to school after being bullied for months by ONE other child. It's not "woke" to want kids to learn kindness and respect for others in school. Fuck all the people to hell who say it's a "woke agenda" to encourage and model to kids that harassing each other for their differences is wrong and unnecessarily hurtful. I've become such an isolated person moving from one place to another and to another and so on because I refuse to accept anything less than what I deserve: and what I deserve is to simply be allowed to live my life without being tortured by insecure hateful people who have the nerve to tell me I'm living MY life wrong. It starts here. In childhood. Lukas should still be alive but he isn't because chicken shit adults think bullying is something to just "go through and get over" -- NO. We as humans have the power to shape this world and a bitter faction of individuals with power choose to say it's dog-eat-dog and that everything is a zero-sum game WHEN IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE. Our species literally evolved because older generations of humans lived long enough after procreating (essentially becoming "biologically useless") to pass on advice for how they would do things better. We are not simply here to procreate and make life hell for others in order for us to get ahead. We as a species have made it this far BECAUSE CARING FOR THOSE WHO ARE YOUNGER OR LESS EXPERIENCED OR WEAKER THAN US HELPS OUR SPECIES THRIVE. I'm sick of dystopian shit. I'm sick of "well that's how all humans truly are on the inside" because it's all a fucking lie. Rich greedy fucks want you to fight each other for scraps so you don't pay attention to the strings they've got tethered to you. It's all connected and I isolate myself because I know humans can be better but larger forces than myself have made us all paranoid to be accepting of differences and to trust each other. Fuck this shit. Rest in Peace dear Lukas. submitted by modus-_-operandi to AutismInWomen [link] [comments] |
2023.06.08 22:25 No_Boat5206 From depression to enjoying life. My tips from the mental journey I made, to bring structure to your road.
Dear people,
I'm addressing this to people who feel like they're stuck mentally. Whether you started out with getting help or not, I hope this piece gives you insight in what to do, but especially.. in what order. Looking on the internet there are 1001 ways of therapy, but it can feel a mess. I've experienced that some things are better before other. Take this account from someone who has tried 101 things, picked the useful ones, who got stuck multiple times, but ultimately can tell you my best experiences. But who am I, except for just another random dude on the intenet?
I've been insecure, depressed and suffering from general anxiety disorder for most my life, at least until some time ago. After I tasted the first moments of happiness I made it my mission to keep moving forward, every day possibly better than yesterday. Nine years, a lot of therapy and many hours of psychology self-study later, I want to share with you what I've learned in a condenced form. I'll start off with a little background information. Then I'll follow up with a listed summary followed by why I think doing it in that order is important. Lastly, I'll list a bunch of my sources that helped tremendously. I don't want to make this a feel-sorry story about me so I'll keep it short just for context. If you believe me for my word you can skip one paragraph.
I come from a family with an ISTJ dad and ISFJ mom, both horribly emotionally immature, unavailable, unpredictable and very suspicious of other people. They love me and my brother but were the worst in showing it. My dad hardly talked and stopped playing with us after a motor cycle accident. My mom was burned out most of the time and ready to explode. Now, what kind of things would that teach your kids? They had their own terrible experiences and upbringing, into which I won't go. Not to mention I was born 10 weeks early, lay alone in a machine much time with cordasol basically already coursing through my veins. All in all, me (the quiet good boy) and my brother (the ADHD ESTJ rebel) had completely different lives. He went all out in the rebel behaviour with his gang, vandalism and drugs, whereas I found out about Maplestory and built up an alternate life there, eventually also with drugs. (Real) friends, what are those? Getting beat up twice as freshman, who cares. The Fight/Flight/Freeze response was strong and consistent already at 15 y/o. I didn't know it at the time but the result was a near-permanent pressure on the Solar Plexus, always being tired and having burst of sweat when I came in social situations. The sweat didn't particulatly make it better. You want to try that new thing? Ah better not, you hurt yourself once as a kid so now everything is too dangerous. The result is what you may expect. A very quiet, badly nail biting, skitterish mommy-child ' adult' who bursts into tears on random moments when alone, never knowing exactly what causes the pain.
But now? What good is my story without a testimony? Now I'm finally starting a career, regardless of some obstacles. I don't nail bite anymore and handle stress way more easily. I was the star waiter of our restaurant and I'm having my first stand up comedy gig next week as well as acting school. Right now I work as the "very likeable" office manager at a sustainability company. Not everything is perfect, e.g. attachment to a partner and my ability in decision making, but it's all a process. Step by step. Keep your target (happiness?!) in mind and keep going.
(Step one and two are not processes but rather state of mind from which to work on. Let it sink in but don't get stuck on it.)
Step one: Acceptance of your own imperfection. It's okay.
This step sounds obvious but I don't think it is in practice. Too many people I've talked to are ready to talk about the bad things that happen in their life but as soon as you start about their OWN role in the situation, they will get all defensive and maybe even antagonized. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone has bad experiences that colour their judgement of things and the way they act. Only if you accept this and what you have done in the past as fact, only then you are open minded enough to change. Otherwise, whatever you'll learn what could've helped you, you'll dismiss from your mind as soon as you leave the therapist, either from stubbornness or as a unconscious selfdefence reflex because you don't accept that yes, also you have weaknesses. This counts especially for people whose insecurity is being percieved as weak, dumb or unlikable. You see, if your insecurity is that you're not good enough, then how painful is it to accept that yes, you have inherent flaws? LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE? That's what keeps people from learning. That's what's keeping people from changing. Accept that you're not perfect and have things to change. Why else are you looking for help? It's like an addiction where you don't like the addiction but the alternative seems worse.
Lastly, know that your perception of others is probably not true. Only you know you because you know your thoughts. You don't see the mind of other people. If only you knew. Other people may seem saint-like but they aren't. Even the nicest people have some dark(er) characteristics and their own insecurities. Once you recognize this you may not feel so crazy anymore. Guess what, the battle between your little devil and angel is a human thing. The difference, though, is that you're open to change. The difference is that you are not in denial or oblivious of your mistakes like your aunt Hilda.
Step two: Accept your own agency and so reject victimhood.
Let me introduce you to my ex-roommate Petrus (pseudonym), who always talked about his troubles in life and how life failed him. The thing is, he'd always go on and on about how it was the effing police who fired him, how it was the effing insurance company who effed him over, how it is the effing women who are all whores and bitches anyway so why bother. His near-exact words. Never him, though! Oh no, that would receive a "yea sure.... but..!" with a scowl. While deep down all this talk is fueled by deep rooted insecurities and pain. You think you're not like that, and you're probably right. At least not to the same degree as he. Be ready to take responsibility for your own (re)actions.
I understand that doing step one and two are actually quite hard. I just mean to point out that as long as you are aware of them, you can change. You'll find out along the way in what ways your own behaviour has shaped your life so far, and what you can do in turn to change it. Life is like a beach, it is up to you to make your sand castle with upcoming waves and running kids. Like everybody else. The roommate mentioned above never accepted his agency and so did NOT have any results from the same therapist that I had. And whom he quit after one session. Scary, I know.
I cannot stress enough that self-reflection is key for anyone who's willing to change !!!
Step three: What do I feel and why?
Or in other words: the popular phenomena called Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. What it boils down to is the focus on self-awareness, to get a good insight into your own emotions and how it subconsciously affects your daily life. Before you quit reading: this is only the start. It is the difference between your mask and your underlying feeling. For instance, I would have the emotional 'mask' of being the joker and pleaser, only because WITHOUT doing that, I'd feel... well, uncomfortable. Now this uncomfortable feeling is important to figure out. For me I could summarize it with "I am not enough" and "I am not likeable". God it sounds so simple in a few sentences but this is a process of trying and trialing, where you'll think it was one thing, but it was something deeper, or they could all be summarized in one overarching insecurity. Finding out your mask personas is an important but scary step. Without your mask you'll feel remarkably vulnerable.
A good therapist will help you decipher your insecurities and underlying sadness. Understanding what you feel and why is step 3. You will NOT get here just through talking about your day unless the other specialist knows what they're doing, for the simple reason that many people are unaware of many of their reactions in daily life and what childhood trauma's they may have surpressed. Otherwise you'll just repeat the lines you tell yourself without going deeper. Such therapists should have their license revoked ffs.
Step three 'n half: grounding a.k.a. to get into contact with your feelings
There's much to be found online about grounding so by all means find other technique if mine doesn't work for you. I'd suggest you first try the most common way. Don't sweat it, the more you do it the faster you can do this. It takes me 20 seconds tops. Anyway: sit up on a chair without distractions nearby, eyes closed, hands on lap, feet on the ground. Take a couple of deep breaths. 4 seconds in, hold 4 seconds, 4 seconds out. Blow out like you blow out a candle. While you do this you repeat to yourself 'relax' or 'calm' or 'it's okay, you're safe' or whichever works for you. Then, take all your attention to your left foot. Feel the contact with the ground. Feel any (dis)comfort, any pain, itch, whether its cold, warm. Observe it, don't analyze it. It's not wrong, it's not good. It's just.. there. After you're ready you go to the left calf. Same thing. Feel the cold, warmth, the pressure, an itch, anything. It's just.. there. It's you. Hold your attention before going to your left thigh. Keep this process throghout your body. In the end, after your face is calm. Forehead is smooth. Eyes are relaxed. Jaw is loose. Deep breath and turn your attention to what you're feeling. Where is it? In your head? In your stomach? For me it's the solar plexus but it differs. Feel the emotion. It's not wrong, it's not good. It's just.. there. Accept it. Name it.
Side note: you may get distracted often. This is fine. Don't get mad at yourself as this only works negatively. Accept it, see it happen like a cloud drifting by and gently return your attention.
Side note 2: Accepting the emotion is very important. I had issues with that but getting mad at yourself for feeling something will only make things worse and is counter productive. Anyway why would you? Think of a friend. Can he feel lonely sometimes? Of course. So why not you?
Congratulations, now you are what we call in contact with your feeling. This is DIFFERENT than the self-pitying saddness that's more common. THIS is the emotion that you can process. THIS is the emotion you can write down, cry out, talk about, whatever works for you. Also at the therapist. Especially at the therapist. It may feel redundant to do it with the little steps but believe me, if you're not used to grounding yourself then this is how to start. Sometimes it's harder than other, depending on your state-of-mind at the moment. Later you'll be used to it and 'go to your feeling' faster and more naturally than doing a detailed body scan. You're right if you think it's akin to meditation. Trust me. It's a human thing. You can do it too. Some people have put away their emotions deep down in order to protect themselves and for them it may be harder.
IMPORTANT: learning to ground may also mean you're nearer to your emotions. This is a good thing, as long as your work with them! Depending on the severity of your repressed traumas, it is highly advised to involve a therapist. You don't want to open up a well of misery only to do nothing with it. More on that in the next paragraph.
Step four: Accept your past hurtful experiences. Process the associated emotions
It is not to be underestimated how much internal conflicts will colour your perspective on yourself and the outside world. When you're so convinced of your own insecurities, working on them felt like mopping the floor with the faucet opened. For this reason this step is really important. It caused by far the most change in me. It would have saved me maybe three years.
Okay so see it like this. Two things to remember. First: emotions that you experience but were unable to express will STAY in your body. Your body is like an emotional hard drive and somewhere there's tension building up. Second: this system you can compare to a hydrolic dam. Imagine: when there's a bit of water in the reservoir, there's no problem. When there's more water in the reservoir it's also okay, but the force on the dam builds up. Still more water all kind of okay, except that the dam is under a lot of pressure. A relatively small damage has to happen for cracks to appear and water to escape. This is exactly how it works with emotions. This is how people have sudden burts of rage, sudden burst of sadness, over relatively small incidents. They just... burst. This tension in addition with perfectionism are root causes for burn out as well. Just how much energy must it take? Anyway, as for the actual processing, I have a few tips.
The major one is a therapy called Somatic Experiencing. This is specialized in bringing up past emotions, even from when you were just a baby (I can tell..). I can't much talk about how a therapist helps you because it will work ruin the effect when you can mentally prepare for them. Don't worry, it's not something crazy I promise. It's just very simple things that sound out of place here. All the stored up emotions will affect your daily life, likely without you noticing. It literally changes the way you react to things. E.g. how you react to some kinds of jokes, to how you may be very sensitive to situations, may feel angry or sad all the time, but also your attachment style in relationships. For me, processing all my fears and feelings of loneliness and betrayal on my innocense has given room for love, compassion, joy/playfulness and a general peace of body.
Another thing is the fact that our bodies can go into survival mode. Imagine you're 50.000 years in the past in the wild. You had dangerous encounters, nearly costing your life. You'll subconsciously be more alert than usual. The same happens with us still, even when you're in fact safe. It's the flight/fight/freeze response that's meant to protect you, that has lost control. This causes racing thoughts, this causes distractions (hey you, are you sure you have ADHD?), this causes you to feel like you can never relax. Why many of us turn to weed. Because you're like a whipped dog. That's not an insult. In fact I mean to say there's nothing is wrong with you. I mean yes there is, but you're not crazy! It's 'basically', complex psychology and survival instinct! This means one thing! It can change! First through somatic experiencing for the related emotions and later through step five for training your subconscious.
All in all, therapists are highly recommended for this. If you bring something up and don't know how to handle it it will work against you
I'd suggest journaling too. Or rather, emotion analyzing and bring them up while writing. Especially when you had a busy day and feel like your insides are all jumbled. Ground yourself first. The goal is to FEEL the emotion and so process it without storing it up again. Cry about it if you need to. You know when children are sad, then cry a lot, then are running around happily again? Same with us adults. INFP or no. Except that we, with a little training, can actually name what we're feeling. Warning: this should only be really possible after some mindfulness. Firstly, because how else are you going to identify your own emotions? And secondly, you need to learn to 'ground' yourself, go into 'feeling mode'. Without it, it'll just be feeling sad because you feel sorry for yourself, instead of addressing the emotion itself. Wallowing in your sadness (this case: own victimhood) will only make things WORSE in an vicious cycle of negative affirmation. This happened to me. It's not pretty.
Another tip: Ground yourself and write a letter to someone who hurt you. Pour in all the hurt, the anger, betrayal in all the words. No need to actually send it, just ritually burn the letter. Let the dam break, accept tears if you have to cry. It's all okay.
Step Five: self improvement. Learn by doing. Train your subconsciousness by experience.
It may feel like this step is late in the cycle, however it is not for nothing. To use the metaphor, Would it be easier to upgrade your dam into a hydraulic energy generating dam while the reservoir is still full, or while the water level is low? When all the body could think about was how to keep the dam in tact?
Self-Improvement really means to use your self reflection to not just see what you do, but mainly what do you want to do with it? Let's say hypothetically you feel like you don't speak up enough. You've found out this is because of an underlying insecurity, in this case maybe that you feel unimportant because your parents never acknowledged any idea that you put forward.
Look at yourself and the traits you want different. Maybe you want to be more orderly? Show love to people? Give a presentation without feeling like you're fainting? Write them down and what you would like instead. Don't push yourself by commiting to do everything. Just as much as you're comfortable with. Think of a dog for example. When a dog gets hit by a human he may just become aggressive or wimpering with his tail between his legs the next time he sees a human. Dogs are not aggressive or flightful from the start, but they learned that certain things are dangerous or scary. You teach an animal that something is not scary by slowly making it get used to the target. The same with humans, except that we're such complex creatures that sometimes it's hard to say exactly what makes you uncomfortable. This is literally what people mean with 'stepping outside your comfort zone'. It's not for nothing. It's not only for 'those bloody daredevils'. It's for a person to get used to situations. I had a fear in front of the class but I forced myself, after some proper therapy, to stand in front of a class to teach exams. Yes I was nervous. I had to calm myself several times, and I reflected on in afterwards. Well now, that actually went better than all the imaginative situations I had before! And even if it doesn't go well you can still write down WHAT you fked up and try to do better next time. Be mindful. Take steps.
Check out my sources for more useful tips on actual behavioural change.
Conclusion
It's a lot and I think I can add more but then it would be a book. I hope from this piece will bring structure to the whirlpool of information that's available. I'm not even sure 'regular' psychologists know this, as I've tried a bunch and they all start with something else. Every step is necessary, but some will work best only after the previous steps have been taken.
Now I'm tired. I'll write a proper summary after I see how this is recieved in the comments. Would love to hear feedback, questions, maybe even critique. Take care, you crazy diamond you.

2023.06.08 22:18 SadisticGhxul So... 1 billion clicks guaranteed was a lie.
(Edit: so I can't change the title but that was a lie that was never told, it's 5Mil clicks I have no idea where I got 1 billion from, lol.) I've had my controller for a little under 1 year. Mainly play rocket league and that is what I was trying to play today in the new season. I made it to my 5/10 ranked matches and 1 minute in, I stopped being able to jump. (A is my jump button) Then I noticed it was turning and got stuck, so I took it apart just to find out why it wasn't working and I now feel like I've wasted 80$ on a controller that was supposed to last longer than this and I only got to avoid having to spend 70-80 on a new controller just because the old one got stick drift. 25$+tax for a new stick beats a new controllers pricing any day.
Cheap Finish Cheap mold work Cheap plastic Not worth 180usd because of this one fault I can't change my keybindings because I use literally every button. I may be able to get around this by learning to use the back buttons but that's a challenge as they feel so awkward to use when I do try to use them instead but I also know little to nothing about mapping this thing but anyways.I did love this controller at first but it was a waste of money just to be lied too about how long the buttons would last. All because they went cheap on one crucial part of the controllers functions. Had I known this before buying it I wouldn't have. I have to try to make peace with this regret now as I try to save up for another controller IF there is no way to get the buttons replaced. I tried to glue it back in place and while I can get the screw-hole back in a functional position the button will not click nor pop back into place after being pressed.
In short I now don't have an A button on a $180 controller all because the makers thought it'd be okay to make just 1 part cheaply. Whatever happened to springs and silicon? Is that not cheap yet durable? (Yeah yeah the magnets would have influence on springs but honestly I think there are too many magnets on them I don't like the magnetic grips, normal rubber or something would be perfectly fine so long as I don't need to pay for a whole new controller every time a button or stick got ruined.)

2023.06.08 22:11 KappaAlphaPhi Part 4 Conceptual Approach on How to End [Nuclear] War + A Matter of Pride and Integrity
9
Remembering integrity and pride in trade, it's time we value and respect cleverness and bravery across borders.
If you seek to disrupt a system, then why attack the freedom of those friends in mind whose interest and spirit can actually challenge a regime? Even the smallest good challenges what's fundamentally evil. The flourishing of achievement, grown self-esteem, and freedom are the most pressing threats to the power of those who attempt to justify their actions through deceit. That's why power-amassing tyrants always attempt to chain up entrepreneurs.
Yet, no matter the governance type or person visible on top, they all rely on clever entrepreneurs to keep things running. All processes in a society go through entrepreneurs at some point. Political demands cannot be met solely by the military or bureaucratic workforce, not even imprisoned workers can make a suitable substitute. This makes entrepreneurs uniquely positioned to stifle a toxic regime's processes on all levels from within. The focus should, therefore, be weakening the regime by stressing discrepancies between the regime and inner entrepreneurial interests.
10.
Why am I constantly being plagued in my social media news feeds with groundless claims of an uprising Russian population planning assassinations?
Indeed, I wonder how it can be propagated for Russians to execute a coup against the government if their resources for such endeavors are simultaneously cut short. Such claims are either hypocritical or brain-dead.
Violent attempts by average people to overthrow a regime happen under one condition only: The broad majority of a society has absolutely nothing left to lose. People only riot if the likelihood of dying in the effort to overthrow tyranny is equal to the likelihood of being slowly but certainly tortured to death by the regime. This is not the case in Russia. The situation is getting drastically worse by the minute, but right now, many Russians still believe they can make it through this simply by keeping their heads low enough to be out of the bullet trajectory line. Therefore, expecting the Russian society to overhaul itself from bottom-up is nonsensical.
10.1
In terms of peaceful sabotage, the ones in key positions are citizens themselves who uphold their system one way or another through their labor. Denying such service is a profound peaceful resistance.
However, not supporting a regime is a decision that drastically impacts one's lifestyle. The moment a person makes their discontent clear, they and their loved ones are immediately threatened in terms of privacy, income, possessions, and safety.
If you want people to take such a fundamental risk for everything they have built in their life, they have to be at least able to trade. Access to financial means is crucial for a communication infrastructure and self-defense means, such as preparations to escape a regime.
What can people in positions for sabotage, the ones at the core of the regime, Russians themselves, not do right now? Transfer their funds and purchase what's necessary.
P.N.
As long as this is the case, dignity is to stop whining in my altered social media front page feeds about sabotage headlines the responsibility whish they had not have to fake.
I am aware that the answer to the rhetorical question in point 10 is solely to fake that the economic sanctions contribute to some sort of positive process against Russia's autocrat.
Deceit became a necessity in order to keep Europeans quiet, who see their livelihoods diminished through this policy. The sanctions are an assault on sanity against both conflict parties' countries.
11.
Who goes down first?
The process of affecting a regime through economic sanctions is lengthy. Decades and generations of autocratic rulers will pass before the breaking point is reached.
However, this breaking point is not the love of democracy, a fight for dignity, or a wish for justice. Even the aspect of vengeance comes second. The breaking point manifests itself in a violent fight for bare survival, sometimes called civil war, though it's better described as a country internal resource war. Repeatedly, what triggered such violent riots was food scarcity.
Such a severe lack is not the case in Russia, and it won't be in the foreseeable future. Just like any major market, Russians are able to adapt their economy. Whereby it is not sensible to blame people for simply wanting to live well.
Those who impose economic sanctions, claiming they want to weaken a regime, simultaneously express an intention to cripple the country's society to the brink of a resource war.
But even if someone wanted to impose unjustified terror on the Russian population for decades to come, it would not halt the Ukraine conflict tomorrow, next year, or in twenty years.
11.1
It cannot be claimed that a slow painful demise of a culture leads to betterment for certain either.
If chaos erupts it is a great opportunity for a new oppressive regime to take over. There are countless of examples like Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Cambodia, Myanmar, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela...
12
Do you prefer to not have your home country suffer a similar period deprived of dignity, with it´s integrity crushed, as those listed above?
Let's stay aware that almost all countries have military agreements with one of the so-called "military superpowers." They will all join in destruction and experience immeasurable loss, just like them, once they battle. Therefore, if you want to protect your country, it is necessary to contribute to peace efforts between these parties.
Ukraine should have peace.
Europeans should not suffer from preventable economic deterioration and resource restrictions.
And everyone in the world should not have to fear for their lives just because some autocrat throws a fit again.
12 P.N.
I might have not made it clear enough that, although I talk a lot about Russia, these thoughts are supposed to relieve foremost Ukraine and ultimately the European suffering as well.
I have no ties to Russia at all, no friends or family, or financial connections. I have never been there. And unfortunately, even my understanding of Russian culture is basic at best, which might be the most disadvantageous factor while considering my position. With that potential disadvantage in mind, I would be glad to change that in a setting of flourishing free cultural exchange.
My reasoning is simply that I consider treating the Russian population like any other sensical.
13.
Humanity is already an internationally interconnected society. Borders are only in the minds of the last few less curious specimen. Their mental mishaps are no justification to punish those who have already welcomed international unity in their hearts and minds.
This practically includes all humans with access to the internet and native to the digital age's possibilities. Several times a day, we go online and unite our interests and abilities. No matter our race, religion, skin color, age, or gender: We overcome language and cultural barriers constantly, interact, and exchange our knowledge based on common mindsets to support each other in achieving common goals even if we're continents apart.
And those curious of the older generations happily explore the new possibilities likewise.
With about two-thirds of the human population enjoying internet access, it can be safely estimated that at least one-third of humanity would learn no moral from unity through separation through war. We have already left these solely mental boundaries behind years ago.
Even if one-third does not yet enjoy constant internet access, and another third would clinge to an age that has already passed: the revolution of the mind advances unstoppable for good. Older, less curious, soon-to-be-dead minds [L1] pose no threat. The conversion of pratically all of humanity towards enjoying international community is inevitable. [L2]
13.2
Empathy is the basis of a functional international society. Our empathy rises if we can experience, see, and talk about problems and goals.
Therefore, I cannot think of a reasonable justification to shut down communication. It's an essential enabler of working together to overcome challenges.
For everyone caring about human society, it is of utmost urgency to restore and enable social media access globally, as well as protecting the organic spread of topics of actual interest.
I consider international access to social media fundamental to peace.
Equally, taking away connectivity is fuel to the flames of chaos [L2].

2023.06.08 22:08 KappaAlphaPhi Part 3 Conceptual Approach on How to End [Nuclear] War + A Matter of Pride and Integrity
7
A Matter of Pride and Integrity
Level 2-based: Trade remains an essential expression of solution-focused processes. It is fundamental for high spirits, joy, and optimism in society. Trade is a tool of peace, not of war. Holding innit the power to unite not divide. Because trade is an expression of valuring and respecting harmony between people of most different cultures and walks of life.
Let's recess from all the noise and appreciate again this fundamental principle of entrepreneurial wisdom: people spend money if a product solves a problem. Therefore, entrepreneurs innovate and solve problems for adequate compensation, enabling progress and happiness in society.
Rising from the dirt, the archetype of the middle class ended the Middle Ages. From scientists and philosophers concepts, it was merchants and engineering craftsmen who brought about a new reality of better living conditions through practical solutions.
I would like to invite you to enjoy a wide horizon and reflect upon dignity and integrity from this practical point of view.
Let's remember and embrace pride in the honorable goodness that trade brings.
To create directly applicable solutions, entrepreneurs need:
Freedom:
Unbound by logically insufficient morals, entrepreneurs are usually the second-fastest group in society to adopt modern concepts, right after the persecuted who stand up for what is ethical. This usually includes the new approach to morals early philosophers.
Unstiffled by inefficient regulatory bodies in order to get stuff done.
Unburdened by the motivation to benefit from stirring up drama and terror. Entrepreneurs prefer honest, frank, and direct communication because it is faster. And isn´t time is money?
Justice:
A reliable justice system manifested in sensical laws and rational enforcements to sort out disputes.
Capital:
Duh.
Go ahead and let me know what else entrepreneurs truly require to prosper. It might turn out to be an effort investment with a high return, as I will gladly integrate valuable and valid premises into my governmental concept.
To be fair, entrepreneurial success does mostly not require fairness.
Entrepreneurs tend to forget its value until it threatens their own business, such as in questions of intellectual property expressed in patents.
But as society is one big body that is unhealthy in whole, if one part is sick, the unspeakable and immeasurable sufferings of the working class [1] and the ensalved [C 0] made me a fan of union work. Environmental cautions are equally important as they are valuring creation itself and are better thought of as one when honoring other aspects of goodness.
Indeed craftsmen and entrepreneurs value profound virtues at heart. In rational self intrest, to sell products that are pratical solutions, entrepreneurs value:
intelligence to increase the engeerning abilty of staff in a competitive market. In self-interest, they support the education of people and the fostering of talent and genius.
Creativity in aesthetics. Since the visual appeal of a product boosts sales, artists and entrepreneurs can both profit from collaboration. Though AI will likly take a big cut of those.
International diplomacy: They are quick to abandon differences and stereotypes in gender, race, religion, etc. Because a paying customer, is such and done.
7.1 Few groups in society honor this many positive concepts.
The argumentation line of anti-business protestors tends to lack empathy, ironically precisely what protestors critique. Proposing wishful utopian concepts that are highly irrational and can never come to be, many activist´s point of view lacks the wide horizon of ackowledging how society truly flourishes.
This is the result of entrepreneurs not prioritizing communication over centuries.
Showcasing and offering interactive experiences to embrace the greatly positive goodness that entrepreneurship presents to society is crucial to reduce tension. When it comes to business self-interest does not equal a less honorable results for society.
But scams and exploitation steal the spotlight. If occasionally necessary cleverness in navigating outdated regulations freely gets confused with undermining sensical regulations for personal benefit, the aspects of goodness are seen as the enemy. Those who don't adopt the listed great virtues turn out to be scammers, not entrepreneurs.
At the expense of people's health and sanity, as well as irreplaceable environmental and cultural destruction, respect for such buiness ventures shatters.
Insight and participation are keys to sorting out conflicts before classes are at each other's throats.
7.2
Finding myself occasionally rubbing noses with the startup scene in Berlin, I have developed respect for the energy and character of founders.
To build a business from scratch, founders have to push through risks with everything they have and are. In such turbulent waters, many find themselves praying for good odds now and then. Gratitude, if fate plays in one's favor, contributes to faith. Equally, crushing those efforts does not contribute to the experiences that foster faithfulness.
Rising to the many challenges of business, which morph into challenges of personal character development, successful entrepreneurs typically possess a equally intelligent and experienced as curios character.
8
An entrepreneur's manifestations of safety and well-being are wealth and influence. They are earned through dedication: skill and hard work.
One legitimately manages possession and power proportionally to one's expertise and experience.[L2] This principle is fundamental to bringing solutions into reality and enabling positive progress. Entrepreneurs naturally apply and defend it like no other group in society. Your effort resonates deeply with me.
8.1
On the other side of the spectrum, reality-detached, ego-driven governance can never allow innovation, as the cleverness necessary to produce solutions is the same cleverness that can disrupt any system.
Entrepreneurs have always been the most considerable danger to illegitimate rule, right after philosophers. Providing humanity with the service of their razor-sharp minds, philosophers lay out a better future theoretically. Yet, it is entrepreneurs who hold most of the keys to providing the practical solutions necessary.
Historically, entrepreneurs, together with middle-class intellectuals, have conspired and incited revolutions if a regime threatened their possessions. This was the key factor leading to the demise of many influential monarchies in Europe, ending, for example, the maximum of royal power in France and Austria. Despite the necessary close ties in their ranks, these autocrats were deeply scared of entrepreneurs' flourishing influence and self-awareness. Through dedication, cleverness, and bravery, craftsmen and merchants freed themselves from the brutal incompetence of monarchs, either through bloodshed or peaceful means. Like when they raised an astronomical sum and bought the freedom of Bremen, a trade city.
An entrepreneur can repurpose chains into strings and remold them into wings. If autocrats attempted to undo this process, it was their undoing.
8.2
The same dynamic is the reason why the Chinese Communist regime is currently cracking down on its entrepreneurs and why they are at the forefront of planning out its fall.
I experienced this Level 2 dynamic up close. I got to know some locals in Myanmar when traveling after my high school graduation during the short fruitful period before the current unrest. It is the same story:
The military regime opened up the country for tourism , with the intent to keep almost all of the profit. Hotels, for example, have to hand over the majority of profit to the government, and licenses are handed out only to regime-obedient people. Still, running a hotel was considered a desirable business opportunity, one of the few ways to reach a middle-class living standard. Thus, obedience to the regime became rational self-interest.
But As the country opened up, more and more different business opportunities arose. Entrepreneurs from amny countries also came to Myanmar because its economy was depleated and in many ways decades behind. Myanmar became an inviting opportunity to be the first to run already proven business models and succeed with the rise of the new middle class.
The military regime in Myanmar has a manner of seizing possession of whatever they want, destroying people's businesses and genuine efforts in a snap. Eventually, this new middle class wanted at least safety for their possessions and criticized the unreasonable ransacking while pushing for a system of more legitimate rule.
As the military regime saw its power challenged, it wanted to undo the process of the newfound middle-class confidence brutality. This is a major factor leading to the current unrest, which appears to be a political expression of a coup against election results. But at its core, it originates largely from the most basic human desire for safety through possessions. It needed a reliable framework in government and justice systems.
The latest involvement of the chinese regime, seeing the chaos as an opportunity to exploit and establish dominance, comes to show that, of course there are always many factors throwing a society into chaos.
However, the challenges Myanmar's society faces could have been sorted more smoothly if people were not deprived of basic necessities. With a large portion of the population hungry and uneducated, they are pushed to the brink of a resource war. Today, Myanmar withers in shambles too due to the economic sanctions that targeted its regime but hit its people.
A key factor to understanding how this chaos has ensued, is to be aware that it was a strategy by tyranny, the response to the positive initial force challenging it.
8.3
The key factor of entrepreneurial spirit, the wish for freedom from tyranny, gets underestimated these days. It is an eye-opening part of human history, currently in the shadows.
Why does it never get mentioned, not encouraged to be thought about, analyzed, and honored publicly? Out of tradition? An actual benefit in secrecy? Or is it because today's high-multiplier-factor individuals are afraid to be measured against? Are today's governments afraid of the built-up in self-esteem, the pride in competence, entrepreneurs are rightfully eligible for?
Just like in gardening, you can plant the most beautiful flowers, but you need bees and such to buzz around and bring it all together to flourish sustainably.
In governance, you can have all the right concepts, but you still need entrepreneurs to vitalize daily life and make society prosper.
Competent, legitimately acting governments have nothing to fear from the positive processes that come with entrepreneurship. If a government wants to establish itself as legitimate, it is imperative to encourage analysis and public recognition of their accomplishments and significant contributions to human history.
Rather than shrouding them in secrecy, humanity is best of to taking notes from brave and clever individuals. Skill and experience are best always valued.
The rising roar of Europe's free trade cities echoes the lands till this day. Similarly, e.g. "special economic zones" rise to lift millions into a better life.
the many positive processes stemming from providing practical solutions that offer realistic chance at better life speak for themselves. They are fundamental if a society rises from tyranny upon savages into prosperity for the cultured.
8.4
Yes, I am aware of the terrors upon the environment, workers, and children in particular; that must be depicted on the other side of the medal. I see a sincere will to extinguish the terrors of unfairness in the entrepreneurial community itself. There are plenty of solutions, often in a conceptual state, sadly, but also practically proven bittersweet marathon-winning techniques, like sincere union collaboration, offering direct and fast harvest of efficiency-improving ideas.
I witnessed union congresses over several years. The top management must be future-focused and aware of external competition to deliver awe-evoking numbers. Yet, at the pulse of tasks, the middle and lower management tends to become aware of internal dangers ahead first.
Some years ago, a major German tech giant considered it reasonable to cut costs by focusing on layoffs rather than the costly process of educating and hiring young people. Early on and very practically, the middle management noticed the effects of the demographic change kicking in. During interviews around the same time, the lower management noticed that it became more challenging to find staff curious and capable in regards to new technologies. Said company now faces a significantly lesser talent gap than its competitors, a major competitive edge, all due to its union insisting on educating and hiring young people at consistently high numbers years ago.
Out of the rational self-interest that is food on the table, staff is usually far from loyal. They just approach the company's well-being with a different perspective: a manager strives for refined profit for the next year or quarter, while a worker sees supporting a company as a marathon to ensure a constant salary for decades. Both are leverage for long-term growth, but a marathon needs different training techniques and equipment resources than a sprint.
Yet, just because there are reasonable approaches, it does not mean all people want to apply them. Thought and action are two completely different leagues. To uphold integrity takes will and effort that people with experienced, grown ethical concepts show.
In regards to protest and activism, I would like to state my stance clearly:
I am not in favor of killing positive processes.
Therefore, I am not in favor of killing businesses out of sole concern, be it environmental, political, medical, or other. Panic and fear are not to be trusted as guides to a better future. Complex problems require listening to minds that have calculated the complex solutions, turning opposing interests into beneficial profitable processes.
The summary stays the same despite all: offering directly applicable solutions gives humans a realistic chance at better living conditions. Thus, entrepreneurs push a society into an optimistic spirit. Entrepreneurs play a vital role in creating a society that promotes, rewards, and functions on stability, morality, sanity, and peace.

2023.06.08 22:06 KappaAlphaPhi Part 2 Conceptual Approach on How to End [Nuclear] War + A Matter of Pride and Integrity
4
It makes sense to encourage thinking about high multiplier factor persons, often referred to as 'leaders', as human beings. Like everyone else, they are strongly influenced by animalistic behavioral patterns manifested in the very structure and chemical processes of our brains because they were advantageous during evolution.
Without exception, the proclaimed leaders [class 4, 5g] I have come across in person, political and spiritual alike, were most simple beings in the end: wanting possessions, sex, glory, the usual.
Let's zoom in on glory. Kindly support us in drawing attention would be the occasional fanfare that autocrats like to bestow upon themselves, such as photo-edited images of them riding a bear or long videos of entrancing an office with choreographed, unbelievably cheerful supporters. Powerful pictures, believed to have the potential to evoke awe in everyone with more than three brain cells.
Based on information from potentially biased European outlets (which everyone can look up themselves without me overstressing a particular source or placing potentially undeserved trust in them by channeling attention through sharing a link): Today's Russian society is trauma-ridden due to disturbingly high incidences of domestic violence. Exhibiting the llegal policy of having no law enforcement stepping in before a victim is beaten to death reflects roots in the often stressed infallible power potency confidence of Russia's upper echelon.
This beeing just the tip of the iceberg of the profound impact one man's multiplier factor had on Russian society: Its pack leader knows he will never be a beloved ruler. But for those willing to kiss sanity goodbye, glory has different masks to choose from:
He can never be the good guy, but he can be the bad guy.
What if Putin's motivation is neither concerning fascist pest control nor geopolitical disputes but much simpler? What if the sole motivation behind his actions is just this man wanting his name in the history books?
Be the name that unnecessarily stirred the world towards nuclear doom. A name spoken with the same breath as the worst human appearing specimens to have ever existed.
I think he overestimates his influence here. Guilt stacks up through consequences, and others had a much longer run. He's not going to be the top bloodhound even in that category. But it appears to me he wants to give the attempt to get close to what he's got.
4.2
Such motivation can seem impossible to those who don't want it to be true. It appears that if something is big, bad, cruel – straight up evil, people want a sane explanation. As though the truth of its origin being simple monkey instincts is too much to take. Instinctively, such truths get treated as even worse than the truly devastating consequence of ignoring reality. Thus, the thought gets pushed aside, and the danger denied. Most people prefer to discuss the almost reasonable-seeming facade of a territory dispute.
Why do I think it is a facade that does not hold up too well? While the one who gave the order to invade might have thought the war would be a successful conquest quite quickly, he must have at least foreseen the international attention and therefore inevitably rising tension. No one in their right mind wages war and provokes nuclear tension inevitably subsequently because of having their toe stepped on, which is what a state like Ukraine considering joining a union like NATO would be. After all, Ukraine never signed for a security guarantee providing military intervention from NATO before being invaded.
Leaving my attempt at reasoning with only two ways to explain this: The first would be that Russia's autocrat hasn't foreseen the turmoil, tensions, and the threat of nuclear arms. This would mean he has lost it to the degree of beeing unable to draw logical conclusions. I have not yet heard of an autocrat managing to uphold their position of influence plagued by end-state insanity.
Which leaves me with the only other explanation I could come up with: He has indeed foreseen the international rise in tension. Meaning, it is not about territory but about a personal ego boost through attention.
In this regard, right now, he's getting what he wants. While Russia's visible top probably thinks the destruction of a country looks nice on his CV, suited to apply for exchanging that bear for a white horse, it does not have to be a successful Ukraine assimilation.
Reasoning from this perspective, an even more rewarding long-term goal would be to become synonymous with destruction by steering the world toward nuclear doom.
I wouldn't mind being wrong here, but my premises lead me to this supposition.
4.3
Psychology appears to be a rather uncomfortable endeavor for many people. Approaching another person's reasoning can confront one with their own. A tendency of avoidance manifests, especially regarding topics that challenge one's reasoning of self-worth subsequently.
Nonetheless, it is fruitful to encourage acknowledging that power being tied tightly to superiority is an illusion. Everyone's brain core is still that of a monkey. But is it a comforting thought to be governed by animalistic behavior? The denial can ultimately lead to missing the point and being unable to deal with the aggressor.
One cannot defeat what is not understood and the only other role left to play is that of the victim, moaning their trauma without any hope of justice.
5
The current approach too often blames the entire Russian population without distinguishing between citizens and the government. In an autocratic regime, the population has little to no influence on the decision-making process leading to disaster. So, how precisely is it the average citizen's fault?
From the perspective of rational self-interest and raw survival instinct, anyone who worsens a person's situation is an aggressor. If one drastically worsens the material situation of an average person overnight by taking away their work opportunity, cutting down their lifestyle, and on top taking away their ability to trade freely, who is the aggressor?
How can a perceived aggressor expect support for a purpose? How can anyone have the nerve, time, energy, and money to support a virtuous intent while having to fend for themselves through the crisis that is bestowed upon them?
What other choice do Russians currently have but to be in conflict with the perceived aggressor instead of the intended-to-be-attacked regime?
Empathy takes thought to prosper into support. I respect people wanting to help Ukrainian citizens, but it is not enough to have good intentions. One's weapons must be capable of hitting the target.
Who wants to look back only to see all their efforts were nothing but pointless destruction? Absurdly enough, apparently no one.
No one would attempt to forge a sword using bombs as a substitute for charcoal either. So why attempt to bring down a regime by punishing the normal local population?
5.1
The middle class [>3l, 3u<] is the moral backbone of a society.
The less fortunate of a society [C0-2] often face hard decisions attempting to survive. This gives rise to morally questionable solution approaches. Meanwhile, the very fortunate [C4+] get constantly tempted, b ut they receive negligible ethical feedback on their actions. No means of retribution exist. Therefore, these individuals can derail into unspeakable acts of terror at a difficult-to-fathom high multiplier factor quickly.
"Erst kommt das Fressen, dann die Moral." (First comes eating, then morality). The middle class is fed, so now they have resources for morals. In tendency, middle-class individuals [ C3] also evaluate their instinctive drives more rationally than other classes. This is because in some places of the world, attempts at a justice system concerned with classes 1-3 exist. But more importantly, middle-class individuals constantly receive honest and in tendency constructive feedback on their actions through their peers and therefore are likely to build a strong moral matrix. It acts as a positive boundary even in case an individual's ethical maxims are not advanced enough to be fit for mentioning.
The larger a middle class of a society is, the more integrity get valued, and therfore the more stability, safety, fairness among more postive aspects, all individuals of all classes in this society get to enjoy.
The current approach casts people into poverty [ C0,1] and, therefore, adds fuel to the flames of their society's descent into chaos.
6
Economic sanctions are an assassination attempt on sanity.
They are thoroughly ineffective in destabilizing an enemy's power structure. In actuality, sanctions are a death sentence for the middle class, casting doom upon morality in society.
Economic sanctions have never worked to bring down a regime, ever. [L2] Seriously, show me one example when they helped empathetic efforts.
In stark contrast, history provides vast examples of them destroying prosperity and, with it, social stability. Look at examples like Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Myanmar, and Germany. The list goes on and on and is way too long.
What's the point of summoning the miserable opposite of the proclaimed noble goal?
The rise of the German Nazi party leading to the Second World War should be enough of a warning. A large part of the German population was effectively manipulated through this argument: the reparations cost imposed on Germany after the First World War. What fueled the rise of fascist madness was the general population's desperation.
As work became difficult to find and the value of people's savings was crushed by hyperinflation, people were robbed of basic stability. Without the security of even being able to afford proper food and housing, they wanted strong leadership that would change this daily uncertainty into a prosperous future.
The fascists' visible visage promised financial stability, or in simpler terms which his followers preferred: work with salaries that could actually buy something. It led to propaganda projects like building highways, which didn't actually create many jobs or solutions for the underlying problems but were well-suited for photos propagating how the Nazi party creates employment and economic prosperity through infrastructure.
Fortunately, such propaganda doesn't doesnt hit everyone as hard as the wrong pills. Still, most people struggle to differentiate between >Schein< [what seems to be] and >Sein< [what is] through logical reasoning. Therfore in todays world as well, propaganda is effective enough.
Unfortunately, history has proven time and time again that enough people to wreak chaos in a democracy through their voting choice cannot differenciate between actual leadership qualities and populist propaganda.
The fascists were voted for. Those who voted against them were murdered. Rosa and Karl, personifications of empathy, intelligence, and bravery, drowned like people's will to honour sanity.
The consequence are our parents' and grandparents' Second World War traumas. They rippled into more trauma, negatively affecting generations to this day. The experiences channeling my path beeing just one examplae within uncountable storys of injustice.
Faced with significantly rising inflation precisely 100 years after the last hyperinflation in Germany ended, it is shameful for the German government to participate and contribute to this obvious road to destruction through economic sanctions burdening society.
The dynamics listed belong to Level 2. If the same mistakes are made, the outcome repeats.

Conceptual Approach on How to End [Nuclear] War + A Matter of Pride and Integrity
1
Approach
Fire cannot be fought with fire. If two nations at war are flames not battling but merging, then what is the water?
Pacifism and gutlessness alike.
Are we aiming to achieve the cessation of needless destruction and the preservation of people's livelihoods? If so it is not sensible to equate pacifism with weakness. It matters not whether one lays down arms out of fear for their own life or love of pacifism. What matters is the result.
To break the cycle of violence, I propose granting temporary political asylum to every Russian soldier who decides to desert, as well as any Russian who decides to escape conscription, and and Russian who rejects service to and subsequently substract assets from the regime.
Fewer people to fight make for fewer battles to be fought. It is necessary to consider offering refugee to millions of soldiers, all even, if possible and nessicary.
1.1
Such an approach could be seen as a major provocation and be met with the threat of, or actual use of nuclear arms. Typical targets of such strikes would be major cities in which the infrastructure is essential to a country. These cities should train their citizens for a controlled, as calm as it gets, emergency evacuation early on. It is appropriate to openly clarify which cities are likely to be targeted and encourage citizens to plan ahead and seek shelter with family or friends in the countryside. This part of the concept is a tool of prevention.
With a good enough chance to consider this approach worth publishing, evacuation will not actually have to be performed because the Russian soldiers who deserted, as well as pacifist civil refugees, will be stationed around the threatened cities.
Yes, they will be human shields. Consequently, a strike against, e.g., a European city would be a strike against the Russian population as well. This method aims to weaken the Russian army and regime until they are unable to operate by provoking empathy.
Undoubtedly, deserters and civilian pacifists will be called traitors by their regime, and some people will agree. Some will not mind a nuclear retaliation strike that kills civilians of another country as well as their fellow citizens.
I assume however that the broad majority of Russians would not support killing their own people, including their brothers, mothers' sons, friends, and loved ones. Therefore, a nuclear strike or even the threat of one could equally strike down support for the regime.
1.2
For this approach to work, it is crucial that the number of deserters and refugees is high enough. The optimal number of people would be reached when every person in the country at war, such as Russia, knows someone dear who left, a friend or a family member.
With a nation as large as Russia, this would be a considerably huge amount of people. A likewise sufficient target would be to establish a general perception, a feeling of lingering goodbyes. Knowing someone kind who left can tip people's empathy towards reflecting about unity.
The number of people willing to desert is often estimated to be low. I think this is a misconception, mistaking current numbers for set, rather than an expression of the circumstances in which Russians have to make their decision. For a deserting soldier as well as a pacifist citizen, the situation is dire.
1.3
Here is a basic approach to chance many come to think about, if forced to join military forces:
If one stays in the army, there is a chance of dying in battle, but there is also a relatively high chance of being stationed elsewhere than the front line, and thus not having to fight. Or just being wounded and sent home. Weighing possibilities, the greatest chance of least harm seems to be staying in the army.
If the decision to desert is not seen as a way to end the war, soldiers caught deserting historically faced severe punishment, ranging up to death sentences, from both their regime and that of the counterparty. Thus, a soldier willing to desert has hardly anywhere to go in a territory of conflict.
Civilians are also not likely to help a deserter, as they are rightfully wary of a foreign soldier's motivations. The preference of civilians to not engage in supporting desertion efforts could be shifted if they are promoted as a means of ending the war and tehrefore protecting thair own livlyhood. Even Agumenting in terms of honest self intrest rather than wishful altrusim, we can come to realize that soldiers which desert and the pacifist civilians who flee are not traitors, but rather individuals who value life over war.
It would be of utmost importance to stress that deserters will not be harmed, and that their loved ones are welcome too. A soldier's family could face retribution if he/she deserts, but the family stays behind, thus pressuring the soldier to stay in the army. Therefore, we must provide a safe and welcoming place for deserters and their families.
Offer the highest chances of the least harm until the arms are put to rest, and people are highly likely going to accept it with gratitude. [L2]
1.4
The current legal approach to desertion is blurry in many places. Deserters and pacifists do not know if they are welcome or if they will have the possibility of living in dignity. This makes it hard for civilians to leave their livelihood in Russia behind.
We must remember that living entails more than simply being in a place. If Russians are unable to access their own funds, how will they be able to maintain their way of life?
Transferring monetary leverage away from the regime should be made easy for those leaving it behind.
1.5
People also need time to build trust and think this opportunity through, considering their personal circumstances. The sooner the process of promoting political asylum and refuge starts, the more leverage this approach can provide. More time to think is more time for people to decide that they want to accept that outstretched hand.
Therefore, I propose promoting desertion and leaving as a pacifist with major resources of media and broadcast penetration, as well as, if anyhow possible, at the front line. A crucial factor for successful promotion are direct and personal communication channels. Therefore, means such as social media access, messaging, and video chat services should not be restricted.
1.6
A regime opposing peace efforts will try not to let its soldiers and citizens escape. Therefore, safe spots should be set up in strategically easily accessible points of infrastructure.
From this perspective, resuming flights is essential. Without flights, escaping is expensive and unsafe.
A good initial new step would be to establish a safe escape path into the EU through Ukraine. Other countries bordering Russia that would like to join the effort are best encouraged to do the same.
In this context: If defending not invading forces soldiers prefer to lay down arms, I propose having them support this process instead.
1.7
Estimated Outcome
Every civilian welcomed, who is beloved by other civilians back at home, reduces support for the regime. Every soldier fighting less in this redundant war is a drop. Enough drops make rain, extinguishing the fire.
This approach can be applied to multiple fighting parties simultaneously. I believe that it can be reused to extinguish all aggressor's attempts to wage war.
All people, including Chinese, American, Russian, Middle Eastern, etc., could find refuge in the country they bet against.
Through joint effort, we can avoid a doomsday of international retaliation strikes.
1 P.N. [Personal Note]
At present, I consider this a check move.
However, check to checkmate can be a needlessly lengthy process if the losing player has not calculated the outcome of all possible moves like the winning player has. To speed up the process, acknowledging positions is important. Therefore, I want to address a few more challenges that one could be wary of.
Go ahead and state further challenges I might not be aware of, as it enables me to give my best to calculate further solutions. After all, there may be a problem that cannot be solved and may render this approach ineffective, but I have just not realized it yet. [Missing A]
2
Presents being a 'living shield' the greatest chance of least harm?
The answer varies depending on the individual making the decision and the point in time. The harder a regime represses its citizens, the more often the answer becomes 'yes.' A morally bankrupt government, abandoning legitimate action, has to resort to oppressing its citizens more and more as resistance grows proportionally. This process is a spiral in favor of leaving.
2.1
Another argument is chance.
How likely is a strike against the particular city where a refugee gets stationed? To address this thought process , I suggest implementing a very transparent and uncheatable mean, like a spin on a simple wheel of fortune. Decided by chance upon arriving, refugees could get assigned different stays, ranging from large to small cities, but also a considerable number of desirable countryside locations such as beach vacation homes. Conversely, being assigned to a capital city would be the least favorable outcome for the refugee. However, the danger approaching is the reason why I share this concept. I see no point in hypocrisy in this regard.
While the ones welcomed should be able to access their funds and transfer them away from the regime, most will still be dependent on support in their host country. Existing bureaucratic support, for example, makes it likely that they will stay where they are assigned to.
Even if they do not, as long as everyone welcomed transfers leverage in terms of service or resources away from the opposing regime, it is still a step towards weakening it until it is unable to operate.
3
Fragile ego: Keeping this factor in mind while executing any peace efforts is crucial.
My grandfather told me about people hiding in the sewerage system during the Second World War. Civilians used them as makeshift bunkers during bombings. When Berlin was conquered and the war was lost, a Nazi in charge gave the order to flood the pipes, and countless civilians died needlessly. The motivation behind this atrocity was solely the man's fragile ego, which preferred others to suffer and die rather than becoming disillusioned witnesses to the Nazi regime's collapse. It was a thoroughly irrational action, as the regime's fall was evident to everyone in the world.
The citizens of Berlin were later told that the flooding was an accident, but my grandfather insisted that it was not. His uncle was a very high-ranking Nazi, possibly the deranged individual who gave the order. He never said it directly, so I am not quite sure. Unfortunately, my grandfather is no longer alive, and I cannot ask him for clarification. However, family ties were close enough for my grandfather to be evacuated into the same bunker as the highest-ranking of the fascist party.
Rumors continued to circulate within the family after the end of the war because a negligible number of Nazis were convicted. And even those received mild sentences for their crimes. My grandfather's uncle lived out the rest of his life equally as insane as unbothered.
The account of the flooding stayed with me as it offers a glimpse into the mind of what was apparently an end-stage derailed psychopath. Without care or respect for others' lives, only his hurt pride mattered to this man. It is our present reality that fiends in commanding positions of warfare around the world share the same mindset. This means that even if the approach described here weakens the regime from within the country and reduces support enough to halt the battle, if an irrational person has their thumb on the wrong button, millions could die nonetheless in one person's final manifestation of an blown up ego.
3.1
One approach to dealing with this type of individuals, which has been heavily propagated lately but gets used almost never, is assassinations. They are often not a viable solution as it can easily be perceived as cowardly and despicable behavior. Assassinations can therefore be used to incite a vengance mode in society and war alliances. WW1 beeing the prime example.
Assassinations are only sensible if the individual being assisted has no support from the broad majority of the population, and citizens perceive it as being freed from tyranny.
Another challenge is that the individual being assisted can usually be replaced instantly, meaning the overall effect on the regime can be negligible depending on various circumstances, such as how well organized the regime is at that specific point in time.
3.2
Therefore, moving positions from check to checkmate means transitioning from country negotiations to personal diplomacy. People always want something and fear something else. Currently, it appears sensible to prepare early for very specific solutions based on the character of the person in charge. Certainly no easy task: a peace treaty precise as a brain surgery. If intelligence efforts are deployed early, it could make the difference.

2023.06.08 21:49 Iniquitousintention Application for Mods
Hey guys, thanks for joining this little subreddit. We all started joining here because of our appreciation for The roast channel that Ananth has set up . We enjoy the roasts , the humour and mostly to appreciate and enjoy these otherwise dumb movies. Huge shoutout to all you guys who joined and the ones who are interacting. Since we have around a hundred people in here right now, (thanks to all of you ), I figured that instead of running this like a one man show, maybe we could share the responsibility a bit. I am a substandard meme maker and I can only keep up the posts and update for so long before this place turns out to be a cringefest, which I do not wish it to be, or dead/inactive for that matter . I was hoping if some of you would like to be mods and creators over here who can eep this page running smoothly. With a few extra hands, we can come up with better content, better polls,or any other stuff that could liven up the place a bit.
Lets start with a mediocre number of 5 people for mods, these 5 can create 1 post for the day and with a variety in idea and content, itd be much better.Feel free to DM me if you are interested, If not that's fine as well.Thats all for today and raksha raksha oombal

2023.06.08 21:40 Belladonnaraa How to make subs?
I am very open minded to subliminals and LOA,infact I could finally say that i have a good relationship with them and can understand what my subconscious mind can do,im not an expert.fyi.however I don’t trust sub makers nowadays.its really not safe anymore.and it’s really hard to find a sub channel that provides good affs with light or rain music as affirmations tend to mix with songs.and they don’t have a version for people whom listen to rain or light music with affs.I don’t know how to make a subliminal tbh. I don’t know what are the formulas. And how to make it powerful like most sub creators.+making my own sub with my own voice can be more effective since im manifesting it for my self. I would like to know all the basics, and everything.

2023.06.08 21:10 Glum-Algae-8984 Understanding China.
Hello.
Throw away account for obvious reasons. Ive written articles here before in the very early days on other throw aways but lurk once in a while. This is kind of a low effort post but i feel like i need to at least get the discussion started.
Anyway this is a critique of this sub. It is meant to be taken constructively and I am not bashing. Many of the people here are enthusiasts who understand the importance of geography on the fate of a nation, a people and an individual (hopefully). But in recent times the quality of discussion has been lacking. I suspect this is because people rely solely on mob thinking and their opinions to inform their decision with minimal logic. Many lack a clear understanding of history, technology, the current state of affairs in the country, and ideological frameworks and geopolitical theories. This is fine. These people aren't in charge of policy. But their opinions can sway the thinking of others on this sub and can cloud discussions.
Don't believe me? Read this article:
https://scottlocklin.wordpress.com/2017/09/02/ai-and-the-human-informational-centipede/ The same applies to conversations here.
I see this most clearly in discussion of china both in media and this sub. Too many peoples "reality models" or their framework for viewing the world is out of touch with reality. This is to be expected. The reality model/ framework of a day labourer is very different than that of a celebrity. In the same way geopolitical enthusiasts on this sub simply dont understand the fundamentals of indias position with other countries. The media doesnt help either.
To act in a productive manner, an entity must first evaluate what its working with. You need data. This sub is heavily lacking good data on China for example. Here are sources I believe are valuable in starting to develop an information bank on china for the average Indian. This is not an exhaustive list. But it will inform your thinking. What you conclude from this information will be up to you. But the better you information, the better your decisions, and what is an entity if not the net sum of its decisions?
TL;DR : Learn to read from more than one line reddit comments and media pieces to inform your opinion if you actually want to be constructive and lead the country to a better place.
Sources on china to look at. THis is china specific because they are our priority but is usually applicable for other issues:
- Make an account with the large chinese social media sites. How many of you have actually tried jumping the fire wall? Do you know the chinese equivalent of reddit? Google? Youtube? Have you tried searching posts on india on these sites to see what comes up for chinese audiences? Well you should try atleast. Also if you are worried about your data, our goverment sold it out to the western companies a long time ago, so dont worry about it lol. whatever you are trying to protect is already gone. Also a lot of these apps are available on the playstore like wechat. Unless the indian government banned those too lul.
- Serpentza is a good youtube channel. He makes highly critical videos of china, but as far as i can tell has a good head on his shoulders and is pretty grounded in reality and doesnt get lost in the rhetoric from either side. He isnt in the "CHINA BAD!!! REEEE!!!" camp of hawks, and neither is he in the "WESTERN PROPAGANDA, CHINA IS HEAVEN!!!!!" china bhakt camp either. He lived in china for 13 years. He is south african and is highly critical of his own country. In many ways he has similarities to dis-illusioned indians but in his case it might be justified. He may not be nice to hear but he is consistent in his beliefs from the videos i have seen. Or i might be getting psy-oped by high level propaganda. Who knows, maybe you can tell me after watching a few videos. An example of his work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHxh_sQHH0E. My point is, look for videos that are as close to the ground reality of the other side as possible.
- Learn to look for the bad. It is always nice to hear good things about your country. But talk is cheap. Look for the reports of india actually messing up because those are the places that we need to fix. We have poor relations with virtually all of our neighbours. Why? India has abysmal health issues with a large population that is either hungry or malnourished. This has terrible implications for creating high quality indian citizens who not only love but are capable of pushing india forward. Why? If you do this well you will start to think independent of political party posturing and start seeing what actually matters and which parties will actually make a difference and rise above all the media mudslinging. Start by looking at nutrition and the indian diet and its effects on the growth of individuals, toilet and sanitation programs, energy infrastructure. These are the things that really matter. Sure you might get depressed, but if you aren't ready to hear the bad parts of your country then you are a coward, im afraid because then you will never be able to work to fix this. Also the west always pushes india good or bad narratives knowing that the vast percentage of the population are dumb enough to eat it up and give massive concessions to the enemy. Dont be like these people.
- Read a god dam history book. Seriously. History is the biggest bank of data you can have on the actions of states and how they survived. Which empires lasted long? Which fell. Why did they fall? Are their influences still around today? Are those influences good or bad? Human biology has been relatively constant for the last 300,000 years. This means the people who lived in the past were no different intellectually than us. Dont make the mistake of thinking we are different because we arent quite there (yet). How did they make sense of their state? If you cant read a history book, then listen to a few low level history podcasts. Dan carlin on youtube has great series on ancient empires.
- Read a god dam geopolitical science book. Francis Fukuyama is famous in US geopolitical circles of the highest level. He also has written books. Maybe its a good idea to read them? The autobiographies of great leaders are important sources into their inner workings too. Giga Chad Deng Xiaoping, Giga Chad Lee Kuan Yew, Giga Chad Otto Bismarck. These are a few people who changed in a single generation the fate of their nations (sometimes single handedly). For the akhand bharat types (the ones that arent stupid) i would recommend starting with Otto.
- Stay away from the media. Anything worth reading is hidden in congretional reports that no one in the media reads or obscure blog posts. If you read my link on the human info centipede you know what i am saying. If someone took the time to write a book on it you can trust that it is worth reading. Usually.
- Respect your adversary. It is important to not believe ones own propaganda. It is easy to get lost in it. You are no better. In fact i would suggest looking for propaganda from your side. It usually is a good skill to seperate the truth from the lies. Can you name some of this propaganda?
- Accept that we have no allies. India will always be on its own. Atleast for the near future. We are at the center of the "Old World" We will always be a battle ground. Any peace we make here, will be of our own work. No one wants a strong india. Not the US or China. China because we will be a competitor in their neighborhood security (doesnt matter if we wont be its what they think). US because they made the play book on this. Support france to beat the british and gain independence. Support the Russians to beat the Germans. Support the Chinese to beat the Russians. CAn you guess who is next in this pattern? We have friends of convenience. Until and unless we sign into a military alliance on paper, we have no allies. And even then who is to say that our military allies will actually help us? Just look at armenia, CSTO and Russia.
- Learn what india's geopolitical objectives are. If you wish to evaluate whether a developement is good or bad, you must have a metric of progress that you are aiming toward. It is not simply "counter china".
- Competence is the backbone of a society. Beware the rise of the incompetent. Learn from the mistkes and failures of other states. See what works, shed what doesnt. An example: https://www.thepsmiths.com/p/review-south-africas-brave-new-world
- Overtime you will become disillusioned. You will become frustrated. And if you do some of the things I have said you may grow to dislike a lot of things about india. I have simply given you the knowledge to fathom the monsters that hound this country. The courage and good character to face them and not run away will have to come from you.
I have purposely not given easy links to some of these suggestions because you lazy asses need to learn how to google and look for information yourself. Too many of you are spoon fed and dont know who is holding the spoon.
This is a good place to start. If you made it this far, good! Youve either been psy-oped by high level propaganda or are racing to the comments to give an opinion. If however you see something of value in what i am saying, good luck to you!

2023.06.08 21:01 AstreiaTales Why are the powers of the party sorcerer PC acting up?
Background: I try and have every campaign do an arc focused on each of the PCs, or at least have major plot elements around them. We're currently in the middle of the arc for the party's sorcerer, a Phoenix origin (from UA).
Arcane magic in my setting is inherently distrusted due to thousands of years of tyrannical rule by magical demigods. Wizards must be licensed and regulated, and sorcerers are feared and considered suspicious. The PC sorcerer (who we'll just call Astel) tried very hard to be a wizard but flunked out of wizard school. He's terrified of his powers flaring up and hurting people accidentally. His player described him to me in her original concept as "what if Elsa from Frozen, but fire instead".
Recently (the party just hit level 7), his abilities have been going out of control. Sometimes it's been for the good of the party - his Fireball cast twice against a bunch of enemies - and sometimes it hasn't, like his Scorching Ray veering off and hitting the bard PC. So the party has ventured out in search of Astel's father, who came from some tribal clans outside the Empire's borders, to learn more about his powers and see if there's a way to fix them. (Astel has also been having recurring nightmares about being in a wide savanna and causing an uncontrollable fire)
Where the party is at: The party is now in that savanna, which is basically "what if sub-saharan African savanna but the barriers to the elemental planes are thin so everything is real gnarly). They are about to find Astel's father and the clan and learn the origins of his power.
We actually played this out! We did a "historical oneshot" 500 years ago where the PCs were some ancestors of Astel's father's clan. In order to save a grievously wounded child, they went to the Firekeepers, some Orcish shamans who tended/worshiped a phoenix spirit. They helped the orcs and the phoenix, who in return blessed the child, saving his life but also putting a lingering remnant of the phoenix in the bloodline, which manifests itself every so often.
What I want to happen: My plan is for the modern-day PCs to seek out the descendents of the Firekeepers and try to figure out what's wrong with Astel's powers, which grow more out of control by the day.
The "final boss battle" of the arc, as I envision it - but this is by no means set in stone - is like this:
- PC sorcerer is put in a trance, phoenix spirit drawn out of him
- Party (and some NPC allies) fight the phoenix, which is controlled by Astel's player
- Once the phoenix is defeated, player regains control of Astel
- Phoenix is reborn for Phase 2, now the party fights it again, with Astel and the Phoenix regularly making contested CHA checks every turn to see if the PC can mastemake peace with it, DC depending on how much damage it took that round.
At the end of the day, I want this to end with Astel kind of mastering his phoenix powers (or gaining much more control over them) and maybe giving an award like an item or something akin to the Elemental Adept feat.
My problem: As I mentioned in the title... I actually don't know why Astel's powers are going haywire. It was simply a Macguffin reason to get them to leave the empire and go to the savanna and kick off his plot arc. I thought I'd figure something out but thus far nothing is really resonating with me. Specifically, I need a reason that is also solvable through "and then they fought the Phoenix."
Some ideas I had:
- Maybe it's because he's been leveling up and strengthening its power? The phoenix only ever meant to give a small blessing to save the child's life, not to empower all of his descendents. Normally the spirit wouldn't notice anyone with just a spark of its power, but Astel has been fanning the flame, so to speak, so the phoenix took notice and went "Hey, that's my power." I like this, but it sort of means that the playeAstel might feel "oh, my attempts to get this under control made it worse, I should stop being an adventurer" or whatever.
- Maybe the phoenix is in trouble and is drawing on those who have its power to try and help itself? I like this as an idea, but how is it resolved by "and then we fought the phoenix"?
- Maybe it's just the natural consequence of a mortal body channeling the power of an elemental force, kind of like white blood cells attacking a virus? But also in this case, how is it resolved by "and then we fought the phoenix"?
Would love some help on this! I feel like I'm really close to a fun plot arc, I just need to seal the deal.
(Also yes I know that a full power phoenix is way stronger than a 7th level party can take on, I'll be tossing a heavily nerfed version.)

2023.06.08 20:42 Acceptable_Luck4290 Why peaceful protest is the most effective path towards long-term societal change.
Contrasting Approaches: Martin Luther King Jr.'s Peaceful Protests vs. Radical Revolutionaries' Violent Revolutions
Martin Luther King Jr. and radical revolutionaries represent two contrasting approaches to creating societal change. While both sought to address social injustices, their methods and ideologies diverged significantly. This essay explores the differences between Martin Luther King Jr.'s peaceful protests and the radical revolutionaries' approach, focusing on the methods employed by each party to bring about change in their respective nations. It also explores the reasons why peaceful protest is a more effective and morally justifiable means of achieving transformative societal change.
Martin Luther King Jr.'s Peaceful Protests: Martin Luther King Jr. championed nonviolent resistance as a means to challenge racial segregation and promote civil rights in the United States. His approach centered around peaceful protests, civil disobedience, and strategic noncompliance. Key aspects of his methodology included:
- Moral and Ethical Grounding: King believed in the inherent dignity of all individuals and advocated for justice rooted in moral and ethical principles. His actions were guided by nonviolent philosophy, inspired by figures such as Mahatma Gandhi.
- Nonviolent Direct Action: Through peaceful protests, sit-ins, marches, and boycotts, King aimed to raise awareness, expose injustice, and create public pressure for legislative change. These methods sought to confront oppressive systems while actively adhering to nonviolence.
- Appeals to Conscience: King effectively utilized speeches and communication to appeal to the moral conscience of the American people. His words resonated with empathy, compelling many to reevaluate their own biases and prejudices.
- Strategic Coalition-Building: King understood the power of unity and sought to build alliances across racial and socioeconomic lines. By forging partnerships and mobilizing diverse groups, he sought to create broad-based movements for change.
Radical Revolutionaries' Violent Revolutions: Radical revolutionaries, in contrast, pursued radical transformation through armed struggle and overthrowing existing power structures. Their approaches varied, but common elements of their methods included:
- Armed Resistance: Radical revolutionaries often resorted to armed conflict, utilizing guerrilla warfare, bombings, and other violent tactics to destabilize governments or institutions perceived as oppressive.
- Revolutionary Ideology: These groups subscribed to revolutionary ideologies rooted in Marxist-Leninist or other radical doctrines. They believed that violent upheaval was necessary to eradicate existing power structures and create a new, egalitarian society.
- Confrontation and Destruction: Rather than appealing to conscience or building alliances, radical revolutionaries aimed to forcefully confront and dismantle the existing order, sometimes leading to extensive destruction and loss of life.
- Top-Down Change: Radical revolutionaries often sought to seize power through revolutionary violence, leading to a change in the ruling elite. Their goal was to establish a new regime that reflected their revolutionary ideology.
Advantages of Peaceful Protest: Peaceful protests, as exemplified by Martin Luther King Jr., offer several notable advantages over violent revolution:
- Moral and Ethical Superiority: Peaceful protests embody a higher moral ground, emphasizing respect for human life and dignity. This commitment to nonviolence enhances the legitimacy and credibility of the cause, resonating with a broader audience.
- Broad-based Support: Peaceful protests have a greater potential to mobilize diverse groups, forging broad-based coalitions around shared values and goals. They create opportunities for dialogue, understanding, and cooperation, strengthening the movement's impact.
- Effective Communication: By appealing to conscience and articulating a vision of justice, peaceful protests can effectively sway public opinion, influencing policy and societal change. Nonviolent methods often invite empathy and inspire long-lasting transformation.
- Sustainable Change: Peaceful protests lay the foundation for sustainable change by promoting inclusivity and dialogue. They encourage collaboration and the involvement of all stakeholders, fostering a sense of collective ownership in the transformation process. This inclusiveness increases the likelihood of long-lasting systemic reforms rather than mere regime change.
- Legitimacy and International Support: Peaceful protests tend to garner greater international sympathy and support. The nonviolent approach aligns with universal values of human rights and democracy, amplifying the movement's message and increasing the pressure on oppressive regimes through diplomatic channels.
- Reduced Human Costs: Unlike violent revolutions, peaceful protests minimize the loss of human lives and prevent extensive destruction of infrastructure. By prioritizing nonviolence, these methods demonstrate a deep respect for human life and a commitment to resolving conflicts without bloodshed.
The difference between Martin Luther King Jr.'s peaceful protests and the methods employed by radical revolutionaries lies in their approaches to achieving societal change. While both sought justice, nonviolent methods, exemplified by King's peaceful protests, offer a more effective and morally justifiable path to transformative change. Peaceful protests generate broad-based support, communicate a powerful message, and foster sustainable, inclusive transformation. By embracing peaceful means, society can overcome injustices while upholding the fundamental principles of human rights, empathy, and collective dialogue.
Disadvantages of Violent Revolution:
- Loss of Human Life and Suffering: Violent revolutions often result in significant loss of human life, including both combatants and innocent civilians caught in the crossfire. The use of armed conflict and violent tactics can lead to widespread suffering, trauma, and long-lasting social divisions within a society.
- Destruction of Infrastructure and Resources: Armed struggles and violent revolutions can cause extensive damage to infrastructure, including vital systems such as healthcare, education, and transportation. The destruction of resources further hinders the overall development and well-being of the society, affecting both present and future generations.
- Destabilization and Uncertainty: Violent revolutions often create a period of instability and uncertainty, as the existing social and political structures are dismantled. This transitional phase can result in power vacuums, conflicts between rival factions, and prolonged periods of unrest, delaying the establishment of a stable and functioning society.
- Risk of Authoritarianism or New Forms of Oppression: While the intention of many revolutionaries may be to create a more just society, violent revolutions can inadvertently pave the way for the rise of authoritarian regimes or new forms of oppression. The absence of established institutions and the emergence of power struggles can lead to the concentration of power in the hands of a few, eroding the ideals of equality and justice that drove the revolution.
- International Isolation and Intervention: Violent revolutions often face resistance and condemnation from the international community, leading to isolation and potential intervention from other nations. This can further complicate the situation, prolong conflicts, and exacerbate the suffering of the population.
- Limited Support and Alienation: Unlike peaceful protests, violent revolutions may struggle to garner broad-based support. The use of violence can alienate segments of the population, who may be hesitant to participate or endorse the cause. This limited support can hinder the revolution's ability to achieve its goals and create lasting change.
Violent revolutions come with numerous disadvantages that hinder the overall objective of creating a just and equitable society. The loss of human life, destruction of infrastructure, and the risk of authoritarianism all underscore the inherent drawbacks of resorting to violence. By contrast, peaceful protests offer a more sustainable and morally justifiable path to societal transformation, fostering inclusivity, broad-based support, and long-lasting change.

2023.06.08 20:17 LIS1050010 Guide: How many acres do you need for a hobby farm or homestead?
If you take on too much land you’ll stretch yourself (and your wallet) too thin, but if you take on too little you could end up with a failing farm fast.
For aspiring self-reliant homesteaders or hobby farmers, figuring out just the right amount of acreage is crucial.
For answers to this foundational question, we turned to successful and well-known homesteader, small-scale farmer, educator and farming consultant Ben Godfrey of
Sand Creek Farm in Cameron, TX.
Ben and his wife Alysha started out as small-scale hobby farmers and now run a successful, full-time 169-acre sustainable farm and homestead. Today, Ben shares his story, advice and insights on how you can get started on your hobby farming journey.
A gradual shift from city slickers to suburban equestrians, then hobby farmers, then professionals
Like most families, the Godfreys didn’t begin their life together as homesteaders.
Ben (a country boy), his wife Alysha (a city girl) and
their growing family gradually migrated from suburbia to full-time farming over the course of many years. Ben explains:
“My wife was a city girl, so I kept wanting to bring her out to the country. I started with our first house in a little subdivision, then I drew her out to a rural subdivision with about 3 acres so she could have her horses there, then I lured her out to a bigger house on around 20 acres.”
As the family fell in love with hobby farming and country life, they quickly expanded to 40 acres. All the while Ben was still running a successful construction company in town.
Ben says jokingly, “The 20 acres was really just to entice my wife in the beginning, but I had plans to purchase the 20 adjoining acres as well.”
On their 40 acres they had a small dairy and horses; grew their own produce and livestock; and had an orchard. It worked for them and allowed Ben to continue his career in construction, until…
Trading in a lucrative construction business to live off the land
Like most hobby farmers, Ben’s “real job” as owner of a construction company supported the family and afforded them a comfortable living.
Though Ben and Alysha were more than capable of straddling both worlds, it didn’t come without a price.
“We’d been evolving over to farming and I just enjoyed it much more,” Ben explains. “Even though the income was a lot better in construction, it caused a lot of stress and the quality of life was a lot better in farming.
“Plus in construction I was gone from the farm and my family a lot and I really wanted to be closer to my family. Now every day, with the exception of deliveries, I’m at home with them.”
Ben and Alysha now have five girls, ages 3 to 16, who help them out on the homestead.
How the Godfreys tackled the sustainable farming learning curve (with help from the Amish)
Though Ben has a degree in Agricultural Development from Texas A&M, plus some previous hobby farm experience, the Godfreys knew they still had a lot to learn about how to manage a sustainable farm and homestead.
“The type of agriculture they teach at Texas A&M is not at all like what we do here," Ben says. "We’re using agriculture that was probably taught at A&M 100 years ago, before chemicals were so prevalent. It is a lot more sustainable.”
So how did they figure out how to start their sustainable farm?
“When we bought the 40-acre hobby farm it was a blank canvas. It was basically a hay field with just a little bit of woods. We wanted to build a home, our barns, facilities and everything for a homestead. So I told my wife I thought we should visit the Amish to see how they do it.”
His wife agreed, and Ben quickly scheduled a business trip up to Ohio with the main goal of observing the Amish.
He connected with an Amish family there, and they invited Ben to bring his whole family to work and learn from them on their farms. “I was just so impressed by the quality of their children. And from there, we went from really 'a city lifestyle while living in the country,' to a much simpler lifestyle doing a lot more as a family.”
It was through their work with the Amish that they discovered the magic of using draft horses for farming.
“After our first visit, we returned to Ohio in October and bought a team of horses and all the equipment,” Ben recalls. “We harnessed up the two horses right there at the sale barn and drove them 2 ½ miles down the road to our friends’ farm…and it was just as peaceful as can be. From then on I was hooked.”
Ben and Alysha have remained close with their Amish friends for the past 13 years, and still return to Ohio to visit and purchase horses and equipment.
To date, they’ve brought more than 200 horses from Ohio to Texas.
How cashing in on their first hobby farm allowed them to “Go Big”
Though they loved their hobby farm, the Godfreys dreamed of having enough land to start up a larger dairy and sustainable farming business.
So, when the opportunity arose to sell their homestead (for a healthy profit) in 2007, they jumped on it and used that income to buy a bigger farm in a more rural area.
That bigger farm was 169 acres, and would soon be known by the entire sustainable farming industry as Sand Creek Farm.
What a 169 acre sustainable farm and homestead looks like
The Godfreys have diversified their land beautifully. They offer raw milk and other dairy products (theirs was one of the first farms in Texas to get a raw for retail channel license), grass-fed beef, pork, broiler chickens and a limited number of eggs.
Their farm is almost entirely horse-powered using techniques and equipment acquired from their Amish friends, plus a few tricks Ben’s picked up online.
The pace, peacefulness, connection and environmental benefits of using horses falls right in line with their commitment to sustainability.
As for acreage and farm design, their four aquaponic greenhouses take up about 1 acre, 5-10 acres are dedicated to produce cultivation annually and all the rest is pasture for rotational grazing.
The farm is not “certified organic” though they raise all their products using organic principles. Ben explains:
“I’ve had the certification paperwork on my desk but I just haven’t seen the value in doing it. The relationship with your customer is the biggest deal. The only reason you’d need a certification is if you’re not selling direct to your customer. But if the customer is inspecting your farm themselves then you don’t really need it.”
They also offer sustainably grown food products from other farms, like pure Vermont Maple Syrup, raw honey, soaps and wholesome breads.
Historically, the majority of their business has come from dairy, which lead customers to the farm’s other offerings, such as their CSA program.
At present, Sand Creek Farm is transitioning.
“Dairy is still a major key, but I would say ideally we’d like to be 50% aquaponics, 25% dairy and 25% field vegetables, farm-stays and on-site training,” Ben explained.
Even with their success and reputation, the Godfreys aren’t afraid to embrace change and shift their business model as they continue to learn and grow.
40-169 acres works for the Godfreys, but what about beginner homesteaders and hobby farmers?
Ben gave some serious thought to our original question, “How much acreage do you need to start a hobby farm or homestead?” and offered this advice:
“If you were going to have a homestead with 1-2 horses, a family cow, and your gardens, I’d want 10 acres of pasture, 2 acres for produce, maybe a one-acre orchard and the rest of it would be buildings.
So 15 acres could hold most of what you want to do.”
The Godfreys opted for larger pieces of land for their homesteads because they have five children and usually keep 7-8 horses in addition to their dairy cows. All this requires more pasture.
Ben also offers this advice to aspiring homesteaders with “real jobs” on farm location:
“I wouldn’t recommend moving way outside the city limits. About 20-30 minutes outside civilization is good, but 45 minutes and up feels a little far. Unless you can telecommute, then being further out is great.”
Learn to farm, hobby farm or homestead firsthand from the Godfreys
Educating on sustainable farming is a HUGE piece of the Godfrey success puzzle. Here’s how you can tap their knowledge basin and learn from the best:
They offer seasonal internship programs at the farm that usually last 3-6 months, and they also hold on-site classes for those who can’t leave their full-time job to intern.
The Godfreys also offer consulting services and advice on everything from choosing your niche and the best location for your farm, to budgeting, planning, design, marketing, aquaponics and using draft horses.
The BEST first step you should take
Ben offered one last bit of advice on what all aspiring homesteaders or hobby farmers should do right now
before investing in land:
“If I were them, I would invest all of your time and money now in education and information. A library of books, experience—go work on a farm, go do a farm stay somewhere and try to get as much experience as possible before you buy the land. You’ll have a much more successful enterprise if you know what you’re getting into beforehand.”

Hello everyone!
We are the Weda’s, a Dutch couple (and Siebe the dog) who decided to break free from our 40 - 60 hour workweek, sell our house and all the fancy stuff inside it and travel around in our camper, Fiona!
Since we left the coziness of The Netherlands we started filming, editing and sharing our adventure, we don’t have -any- experience in this field, but we figured we’d learn along the way (as we always do hahaha) and improve our skills one little step at a time.
Obviously it’s kinda scary to share content that isn’t up to the level you’d like it to be, but we figured progression beats perfection and we just went for it!
We are searching for experienced content creators and people who enjoy travel videos to check out our channel and share your thoughts! Is there any obvious pitfalls we missed? Or hip and happening techniques that we aren’t implementing at this time? Please let us know!
Peace out, one love ❤️
