With the massive exp grind in this game you are pretty much expected to catch everything you come across (on an excellent throw essentially) if you ever want to level up/reach max level (good luck to newer players). Even if you raid a lot and get friendship levels you still will need to catch a ton of Pokemon not just for exp but candy as well. Not to mention the fact you have to do this in limited time before your phone battery dies, event ends or the weather starts getting bad. With all this in mind, why is it that I have every platinum catch medal and still have weak Pokemon such as a Weedle or pikipek escape from an excellent curve ball multiple times in a row? (Conversely, the next hit being a regular hit and it gets caught which is great but not great for exp) Also consider the fact that you need to worry about it attacking or moving before the ball lands. (I know nanabs exist but it shouldn't be expected on everything and can't be expected on such a steep grind) And don't get me started on raid catches because they have all that plus you need to coordinate enough people to take down the boss and pay for passes with a good chance of it running (bonus points for things like the lake trio with terrible hit boxes)

Hello 👋🏻 Everyone. My name is Damien 🤝 and the reason I'm posting this on Reddit (of all things) is because any and all dating apps SUCK. I've never had any luck with them; no likes, no matches, no messages, no squat. That ray of sunshine in my life would do me some good y'know? Having something to fight for, being the happiest I've ever felt, less stressful and painful days both mentally and physically, peaceful nights, a greater sense of purpose to my life, etc, after spending 4¼ years in the single life. You cannot go wrong with that special someone in your life. However, I do understand that relationships need time to form and grow in a healthy and positive way, so maybe we could get to know each other first and see where things lead?

A bit about my personality

That's my version of a loving and genuine long-term relationship. Relationships are so hard to come by these days istg, more and more people get their hearts broken every single year to the point where others know about it and then can't see the point of being in a relationship thanks to fear of the same thing happening to them, or something else happening, it's crazy... But I can assure you that I'm not like all the other heartless individuals out there, I'm respectful and trust worthy ✨️. I consider myself to be a friendly and socially confident introvert, I'm good with people irl, but often keep to myself from others (apart from my family). But once time passes and I spend enough time with new people who want me in their presence, my confidence will kick in and I will be quite a confident and comfortable person around them :)

•Listening to music pretty much every single day as I'm a huge HUGE fan of it.
•Gaming on PC games such as GTA, Red Dead, and Minecraft.
•I may stay indoors most of the time, but I DO also enjoy doing outdoor activities like spending my days out in places in the UK like Scarborough, Blackpool, Hornsea and Withernsea.
•I'm also interested in Photography, taking stunning photos both indoors and outdoors to store and save for later. Wildlife, sea life and everything else in between is what I'm most interested in :)
•Playing different sports such as Badminton, Bowling, Cricket, Dodgeball, Tennis and Volleyball on the beach are activities I really enjoy doing, but I haven't played them recently thanks to a lack of others playing them with me.
•Gardening and working with plants is something that really fascinates me, planting and watching plants of all shapes and sizes grow is everything I've wanted to do since my late high school days. Also getting a bit of sunshine on my neck in the summer does me some good lol.

So angry! I was scheduled for my next refill yesterday and got a message saying my authorization had expired. I know the authorizations aren’t owned by Calibrate, but I do expect them to have knowledge of these dates to make sure I get my meds in time, since they do manage that. Clearly, no one was doing that, so now I’m at risk of losing access (been on for 6 months). Don’t be like me and assume they’re on top of this like we’re paying them to be. My only hope is that they’re courting me to join masters in August; I’m dangling this over their heads to try and get them to resolve this quickly.

I'm planning a trip for August 12th/13th to August 17th to backpack in the IPWA. Looking to have a group of 7, all fairly experienced backpackers. Thinking either setting up a shuttle with our cars to hike Glacier->Neva->Arapaho->Buchanan->Coney Creek ~40 miles, OR Coney Flats Trailhead into Buchanan BZ to set a base camp and do day hikes out of. Definitely wanting to make a point to hike over to Lone Eagle Peak as the pictures I've found are breathtaking.

IMO, one of the most damaging conceits to our understanding of how nervous systems function is the idea that nervous systems behave in a series of sequential discrete processes. The idea that neuron a emits a particle that activates neuron b then returns to homeostasis is a naive at best metaphor for nervous system (or organismal) construction. The idea of cells as assembly lines cranking out products in response to orders coming in doesn't capture the actual mechanics or complexity of organismal/nervous system function.
Instead, a better metaphor may be of large number of systems in tension with one another, systems which transmit information not by transfer but by manipulating the push/pull between the systems. Whether it's manipulating tension across a membrane or homeostasis across a group of cells, the mechanic is more about maintaining the proper amount of tension between systems than managing the assembly lines.
It's the same kind of inter-system tension we see in nearly all physical sciences, from ecosystems to weather systems.

So a few years ago, I got very drunk and rode an e-scooter back to my hotel in Germany. Me and my mates were pulled over, breath tested and arrested. We spent a few hours in prison, paid the bail and were sent on our way. A few months later, I get a letter, I have to pay a few hundred pounds as a fine and get a 6 month driving ban in Germany. It was classed as ‘negligent drunk driving’.
I’m UK based, and this did happen after we left the EU, so I’m not sure how much communication goes on between police forces since brexit. The German police also directly sent me a letter in the post, so never went through any UK police force. I’ve checked the DVLA and nothing comes up on my record.
I’m going to be going to the USA in a few months, and am wondering what to do, weather to admit it or not. I know the USA is pretty fine with DUIs, but I know other countries (Canada, Mexico) aren’t, and feel if I admitted it could prohibit me from there in the future.
Basically, what are peoples opinions on this, could they do checks on my records from a different country? Or is it just too many hoops to jump through?

Feeling pretty defeated today. I’ve been feeling great for the past 3 months with a help of ivabradine. I managed to live my old active life (almost), until last Sunday. It’s been getting warmer in UK so I contribute my flare up to the weather but gosh I am very symptomatic despite my controlled HR , increased liquid intake and sofa rest for the past week. I started 2.5 midodrine 3 days ago so I believe I may be getting some side effects from that as well. However my BP is at my usual levels so the lower dosage hasn’t really increased it. When I am walking I feel like I am on a boat or in an elevator that constantly drops. Yesterday I felt like I am drunk and wasn’t sure if I am walking a straight line. It’s the strangest feeling , I have ongoing headache as well . At this point I suspect I may be suffering from vestibular migraines because I am not sure if this sounds like POTS? I have history of migraines with aura so wouldnt be surprised !

I’m looking for someone who’s into world building and also focuses on the actual tension between the characters . It would be amazing if you can do a lit rp in first person as I prefer that one but 3rd person one is also fine.
Plot:
My character is a vampire prince and the heir to my clan. My father, the king found me in the woods and took me in. I showed signs of being a pure blood and at the age of 20 I could shape shift into a wolf and could control the weather.
I have shoulder length black wavy hair, brown skin which was very rare in my clan, I also have red eyes which I can change to brown as camouflage when I go to the village to learn about humans. I’m shorter than most vampires in my clan but I can hold myself against all the others without putting much of an effort.
Our clan has a very low number of converted vampires as we don’t encourage it much.
Just because I go to the village doesn’t mean I don’t kill for blood. I enjoy hunting but I don’t do it unless I need it for survival. My common preys include animals that roam in the woods.
So this is basically the premise and you could be a human, a lycan or warewolf or any other mythical creature of your choice.

Does anyone know how to write for cover letters when you don't have any job experience? Trying to highlight the capstone project I worked on back in December...but im unsure on how to explain it. Ill be graduating in august, applying for a job up in Jersey thats super entry level and I believe would be a great starting point. But im unsure how to sell myself given I have no experience outside my degree.

A couple months ago I saw some blogs talking about cycling tours in along Mediterranean in Spain. The article made it seem like it was a easy task for one to take a solid road bicycle and make a enjoyable vacation bicycle tour along the coast of Spain.
Is it as easy as Im being led? Is there designated infrastructure system for bicycles or would this be just riding on the side of a highway with traffic roaring pass?
I’m not a novice when comes to riding bikes but just looking for a relaxing vacation and to explore a country that I’ve never been to. I am capable of doing 50-70 km riding with some gear attached no problem. I would be looking to hotel up or camp/hostel/hotel up along the way.
My Spanish language level is very low. Part of the reason I’d like to go to Spain is to learn some Spanish along the way.
My main vacationing priority is to eat delicious seafood along the coast and enjoy some warm Mediterranean weather and beaches. The bicycling tour is just a additional bonus to see the coast.
So any suggestions or ideas for a November visit in Spain along the southern coast of Mediterranean would be greatly appreciated.

I live in a duplex. New neighbors moved in about 2 months ago. They’re really nice and easy to make chit chat with. Also have two huge dogs and a small one; all also very sweet. Thing is I spend most of my summertime in my back yard. It’s my happy place. I like to watch as many sunsets as I can, enjoy weather. My garden is mostly there. Now with the summer nearly on, days in the 90’s etc the scent of dog shit is kinda bad and the number of super aggressive flies has gone through the roof. I’ve seen the neighbors cleaning the messes a few times. It’s just with that many dogs in a tiny yard unless they clean it up each time, thinking the issue won’t change much. What if anything constructive can I say without sounding like an ass****?

Looking to move by the end of June or August at the latest and in need of 420 friendly (I have a medical card). Not a big fan of smoking indoors but winters get cold and I’d like to stay inside for that lol I’m early 30s and a Navy veteran. Currently in school so schoolwork tends to keep me busy. Making an update post as some had requested and to light someone’s day and spread some positivity.
The Preparation: I followed the recommendations received in the earlier post. A huge shoutout and thanks to u/Dikkatbadhihai for your recommendations. I was wearing an ironed white shirt, no blazer haha, sleeves folded, sky blue jeans and white sneakers. I used a nice perfume I had. I carried the custom bouquet (consisting sunflower, lily, orchids, rose and tuberose), a Kit Kat and Pune’s special delicacy i.e., ‘Bakarwadi’. I also had two wine glasses with me and a bedsheet so that we could sit and watch sunset while sipping some wine if possible.
The meet: I reached early and was waiting for her at a food court in the mall. Plan was to pick her up from there and then go to ‘Seawoods’ mall to have a lunch together at restaurant recommended by a friend. She arrived, we greeted but didn’t do a side hug or something, we were figuring out whether to stay in same mall or go to the next. We decided to proceed as planned. We had trouble locating my car in parking and had to ask around a little bit. By now I was bit worried that the start wasn’t smooth and the hot weather was adding to our woes of getting comfortable with each other. Once we located my car, I swiftly moved ahead, took out the bouquet and presented it to her. She went from a surprise reaction to shying a little and eventually blushed. I got to capture all her reactions in my mobile. Then we headed to the next mall. While on the way, I played the 2000’s hit songs from Spotify as recommended. She started humming along with songs and it did set a romantic tone.
Lunch part of the date: We reached Seawoods and headed to food court. By now we became very comfortable like we were on our video calls. We were walking very close to each other and almost touching. My wrist watch was hitting her hand all along when we were walking in the mall but she didn’t allow me to remove the watch. She located a toy store on the way to food court and bought a cute small captain America bobble head for me to put on my car’s dashboard. By now we were getting touchy with each other. We zeroed on a place to eat and I paid and ordered as she is usually not much decisive. She really liked the chicken seekh kebabs. I was cutting the kebabs into small bites for her to eat and she was trying to stop me from doing it. I took some of her photos before the food arrived, with food and while eating. She was resisting in a cute way but was being a sport and enjoying it. After lunch, we decided to head towards the car. Near the lift, I saw the gaming zone. I asked her to just to go and check it out. We went in and inquired about the bowling alley but there was half an hour wait, so we cancelled. Here I felt I should hold her hand and I went for it and we did. And then onwards we were holding hands all along. Before going to the car, she bought Cinnabon for me to take home as she had told me about it and wanted me to try.
The evening – purely majestic: We headed to the jetty ride in Belapur for the sunset boat ride. The weather was hot and she was yearning for some cool breeze all through the day but it was eluding us all along. We boarded the jetty, sat down and had some water and after a while went on to check out the boat. We found a small place near the engine with two chairs. We could see everything from there so instead of sitting at the regular place with others we decided to call that place ours. We had privacy there but people were coming once in while there as part of the boat tour. Now we were holding hands and leaning our heads onto each other and enjoying the view. The boat started after a while and we started experiencing the breeze. We were now holding each other by the arm. We took some photos of the surrounding in our own mobile. Afterwards I asked her for her phone and went on to capture our photo and she obliged and we took some nice photos alongside each other. After sometime the boat slowed down and we got to see the flamingos near the shore and we tried capturing those adorable birds from distance. Then we went to the front part of the jetty to watch sunset. An extremely romantic vibe was just waiting for us. The sunset was about to happen. A nice cold breeze was flowing, the sky was clear, the red-hot sun was fully visible, a plane was flying in one corner of the sky, flamingos were there on both sides of the sea, in the distance Mumbai’s skyscraper and the under-construction trans harbour link road was visible, some birds were flying over the sea, a few fishing boats were visible too. I was holding her by the shoulder, we were looking at each other once in a while and taking in all the beauty around. For the first time in my life, my heart was satisfied. We stood there till sunset and took some really nice photos together. Once the boat turned, she took me to the back of the boat where we were from start. The night was setting in and we were holding each other close now. After a while once the people moved to the main area and we had privacy, she looked back, came very close and approached for the kiss. We kissed and it was long, intense and passionate. Just purely magical. I had never felt this kind of euphoria all my life. Everything was just surreal. We kissed again before the jetty reached the shore. We got down, walked towards the car holding hands and I jokingly gave her the credit for deciding to go for the jetty ride.
The goodbye – We just had a perfect evening and now we wanted to get some nice chai. We decided to just drive around the palm beach rode and see if we can find a chai tapri. We found a chai place after a while and asked him to make two kadak adrak chai. We sat down nearby and enjoyed the tea. We were exhausted now. We both being introverts, our social battery was now down. We enquired about a park nearby and went there and sat silently on the bench for some time. The park was getting closed, so we moved out. We found a pani puri stall and shared one plate. It was already late and I had to travel back too. So, I decided to drop her to a nearby station so she could head to her home. When we reached the station, I gave her the flower bouquet. The cab was booked and waiting. She was holding the bouquet in one hand and my hand in the other and we walked till the cab. I opened the door and helped her get in the cab and asked her to call me once she reached home. We hugged and she gave me a kiss and got into the cab and we waved each other goodbye. For next one hour, we didn’t communicate much and were just contemplating the entire day. She called me after reaching home. I was still driving back home. We laughed and talked about the day for next one hour till I reached home. Our conversation went on even after reaching home until we realised it’s too late and we should call it a day.
I feel I am really lucky to have lived this wonderful day. Just wanted to share my experience of the date as some had requested and thank people for helping me out.

I'll admit I thought of you recently. It was your birthday - as with last year, zero issues for me remembering that particular date. I'll also admit that the last extended exchange we had - and the subsequent fade - had a tougher emotional effect on me than I'd like. I had to live out a lot of feelings that I used some combination of work, exercise and sex to push down last fall. I accepted the what pretty well by that point, but the "how could you?" still tormented my mind.
The truth is that I don't think it could have played out any differently than it did.
We were victims of the feelings that enshrouded us. We each had our own circumstances leading up to everything that piled on the fuel, but it was establishing that connection that lit the match. From that arose an inferno that grabbed us both, pulled us in, and wouldn't let go. But that's where the cliches end - it was never "meant to be," it wasn't what you wanted, and it was always a momentary high. A pretty long moment, but still.
Eventually you found something that snapped you out of the hypnosis you were locked in, and the fantasy ended. There wasn't some story of triumph and overcoming at the end of it all. Just losing faith in something that was ill-fitting, and walking away. For all the hype about this being some life-defining connection, in the end, we were just two flawed people in one moment of time.
And yet, today, I'm well. In a more holistic sense, I'm better than even the craziest times we had. Busy, with the good things in life. From your neck of the woods, to the shores of the east coast, down into the southern hemisphere, I'm living out my own August 6th every day. Your presence endures, even if it's not the way I would've originally thought. Our connection led to changes in my life I wouldn't have otherwise made, and I'm grateful for it. I hope you can also take something deeper from the time we shared.
Maybe knowing that there is no answer to "How could you?" - simply one to "How could you not?" - is the route that allows me to grant you forgiveness. I've earned that elusive quantity from the people in my life (something I savor, given what a scoundrel I was). I reckon you deserve the same. Be well.

We have purchased VIP early entry tickets through viagogo ( which to be fair we’ve never had an issue with despite its mixed reputation ). We’ve been told that the tickets will be transferred to the SEETICKETS app two hours before the event. Can anybody shed any light on this. We want to get in the queue pretty early so we can choose where to stand. But are worried that the tickets won’t get transferred in time for us to be allowed in the VIP queue. Also.. does anybody have a VIP ticket that indicates where the entry point is for VIP. We are big fans and did VIP for both Wembley and Glasgow last august. Hello all! Hubby and I visited Ladysmith in April during the warmest weather in months! It was simply heavenly. Some readers on this Reddit community expressed incredulity as to why we chose Ladysmith instead of other locations on the island. Well it was the perfect location to explore the north and south. We went to Tofino and Victoria. Our favorite place was the south. Tofino was uh... We are from California and we have the beaches here therefore Tofino... my apologies to all but we were not crazy about it.
