Dear Mighty One,
I see the Lord's eye upon us we discover by revelation the 'new thing' He is doing in our lives and of those of us who, beyond the present darkness, gaze into His eyes. The 'tuning fork' of Yahweh is orchestrating the sons and daughters of our living God in growing holy remnant unity to withstand as we stand with Him fearlessly in the boldness of the faith of God in this hour. Egypt is behind us, and the covenantal promises and prophetic words we have received (1 Tim. 1:18) empower us by His Holy Spirit to advance in warfare, humbly growing in the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

Yesterday as I encouraged some friends, I said, 'stay in the blissful extravagance of His presence.' Today I saw in Psalm 34 His eyes are upon us in vs. 8 & 9 and v:15 about the 'uncompromisingly righteous.' We are to be holy as He is holy. That leaves no room for any more compromise or seeking to please man or the traditions of men, being free of the fear of man, the religious spirit, and any demonic activity. We are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. Lord, help us understand by revelation to walk in all the authority we have been given by Jesus Christ.
Psalm 34:8-9 'O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him. O fear the Lord, you His saints [revere and worship Him]! For there is no want to those who truly revere and worship Him with godly fear.'

This is a snark page but behind all of our posts there is a reason why Michelle bothers us & why we may feel passionately about bringing her truth to the surface. Here’s mine:
Miserable people tear miserable people down. This is coming from someone whose been both on the receiving end and on the giving end.
I had a friend who was dating a man from Harvard, he was smart, conventionally attractive, had money and ticked every box from what she told me. I also saw him going to big conferences in D.C. and doing amazing things, per his Instagram.
HOWEVER, once they broke up I found out he was cheating on her, emotionally and physically abusive and was constantly telling her she was a no one because she was going to a “regular college” & that while he was dating her for the time being, he could not marry her because he needed to maintain his status. The entire relationship she would see his tinder notifications and she didn’t say anything because of how little he made her feel and how dependent she became of him.
She would also tear me down, despite us being best friends at the time. She would tell me I was going to be no one and that I needed to do more with my life (we both went to the same college). I was just beginning my current relationship (where I am currently happy and fulfilled) and she said that I shouldn’t date someone who is working on himself and making something of himself. I was ALSO working on myself and building myself, at that time, so it felt hypocritical.
Now we’re both where we want to be, or almost there, and we did it together. We were able to love each other and find fulfillment in saving money together for beautiful vacations, and built a business that helped us make 6 figures from our homes. Are we rich? Absolutely, positively not. Not even close. But we have something Michelle will never have and that is true love, a fulfilling relationship, pure happiness and a great life that we don’t feel we need to prove to others.
Anyway, back to my friend, she would always make me doubt my relationship, she created friction between us because at times I would believe her. I think that’s why I have such a deep disliking for Michelle. She’s that friend. I hope to never find out that Kevin treated her poorly, but frankly I know he doesn’t treat her well. She gets his chump change and pennies and glorifies it for all these impressionable girls and women who think that her fabricated fantasy life is real. She recycles old content to continue her fake image, the times that they are together (once every month) is a week for her to create content and him to brag to men that if they want the same life as him, they need to buy his course.
I am happy that ugly bags and an extended seat on an airplane once a year doesn’t excite me. Instead my love excites me, I can talk about my man for years.
I will, however, never forget the way my friend made me feel and the way Michelle does that to others. I can’t like someone who built a brand off of a fake-life. Sorry Michelle but I will expose you one tiktok and a time.

I see a lot of people discuss the final episode and how it feels like good closure. The main criticism is Penny’s storyline. However I think Amy’s story line is really annoying. She’s so passionate about how female scientists should be celebrated for their brain and the writers just give her a huge makeover for the last episode. She’s one of only four women to win this and they decided to focus on her appearance, something that she is not unhappy with throughout the whole show?

...and I'm almost 40.
This post expands on a comment I made in last week's scuffle thread about a multi-decade disagreement about what color the now-defunct Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad (D&RGW) used to paint its steam locomotives and by extension, what color the 491, a now-restored locomotive operating at the Colorado Railroad Museum (CRM), should have been painted during her restoration. Tie a red bandanna around your neck, grab some popcorn, and sit back for a two-for-one hobby history and drama.
First, four short disclosures. One, I am associated with CRM, but I did not participate in the restoration of 491. Second, I have no preference what color 491 should be, I'm just glad she’s running. Third, this is US-centric, because I'm not going to eat up word count clarifying international differences every paragraph. Fourth, 491 uses she/her pronouns. That’s not woke, it's historically accurate. Deal with it, you friggin’ lopsided, melting snowflake.
Before we get to the drama, let’s get a bit of context and background. The D&RGW railroad was founded in 1870 and eventually became a part of Union Pacific in the 1990s. D&RGW built and operated routes in the US states of Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. For a long time, these tracks were among the very few ways to easily travel west of Denver and through the Rocky Mountains. Those corridors were, and still continue to be, foundational parts of the US rail network.
Over time, D&RGW became renowned around the world for operating in some of the most beautiful but technically difficult terrain in North America. The passenger trains themselves became destinations, and the mountainous routes fascinated historians, railroad photographers, and model railroaders. Seriously--just look at this train mountain-goating its way up a cliff.. In addition, the railroad was notable for operating an extensive network of "narrow gauge" tracks—the rails were 3' apart instead of the standard 4' 8.5". Without getting too far into the technical weeds, narrow gauge worked better than standard in mountainous terrain.
Another thing that made the D&RGW a darling among railroad enthusiasts is that while they got rid of the steam locomotives on its mainline tracks in late 1940s or early 50s, just like most other railroads did, they kept on chuggin' down the narrow gauge tracks until 1968. To put that in perspective, that's the year the White Album came out, and the year that Planet of the Apes and Night of the Living Dead were released. 1968 was the year before Woodstock and Apollo 11, and only 15 years before the Internet was invented.
1968, in other words, is incredibly recent. It is within the lifespan of some of you reading this post. It should be kept in mind that when we talk about the D&RGW and the 491’s service life, those things, while distant, have not yet faded into history. There are many still-living people who worked on this railroad, operated specific pieces of equipment, and saw it around their communities. There are far more people who had a father, grandfather, uncle, or other relative involved in this industry. We aren’t discussing events in the distant past, and the people who care about this aren’t just hyper-fixated on arcane details of history. For many people, the presence of this railroad, and the continued preservation of its remnants, are intensely personal.
Before we move on, let's take a moment to get some additional context on how railroads used color on their equipment. Today, you might notice that most railroads have a set "livery" that they paint on their locomotives. (UP yellow, BNSF orange, CSX blue, ect.) Prior to about 1900, steam locomotives were just as colorful, and were often decorated with elaborate trimmings made of polished metal. Not only was this in keeping with decorative tastes in the mid to late 1900s, steam locomotives were at the time a brand new technology and their owners wanted them to catch the public's eye. This is actually where the idiom "all the bells and whistles" comes from. Most toys, clip art pictures, and children's television programs depict locomotives from this era.
However, after roughly1900, the appearance of most steam locomotives became far more utilitarian. The Victorian maximalist style started to fall out of favor across the board, especially after the wars, and most railroads in the US accordingly preferred unembellished equipment. Now, their locomotives were most often painted black with minimal amounts of gray, white, or silver trimming.
By about 1900, railroads companies had also noodled out that keeping a brightly colored and decorated locomotive clean enough that it didn't reflect poorly on the company required a lot of labor. Remember, these machines— this is worth harping on both because it's going to be a plot point in a little bit and because modern readers might not fully grasp what “steam power” means—are ON FIRE AT ALL TIMES WHILE OPERATING. A very messy chain of events results from this intrinsic property:
1.Where there’s fire, there’s smoke.

1. Where there’s smoke and exhaust steam going out the same smokestack, there is the creation of a thick, jet-black sludge of train-dirt.
   
2. The smokestack belching train-dirt is attached to a locomotive that is usually moving forward, which means that cancerous inky puke blows back onto any and every part of the locomotive situated behind the smokestack.
   

If anything on the locomotive isn’t painted black, in other words, it will very quickly become black unless it is being cleaned almost daily. Since corporate penny-pinching is always historically accurate, most railroads did the math and realized it was better for their bottom line to paint things the same color as train-dirt than it was to pay people to clean up train-dirt.
There were some exceptions to this preference. Often, railroads painted passenger locomotives to distinguish them from freight locomotives or to fit into the paint scheme used for every piece of equipment on a specific train. Two good extant and operable examples of colorful locomotives are the Southern Pacific 4449 and the Norfolk & Western 611. Other railroads preferred colorful, but very dark shades of paint for at least some of their locomotives. One of those railroads just so happened to be the D&RGW: There's documented evidence that instead of using black, they painted some of their locomotive a shade of dark green. For the curious, it is approximately hex code 1E3D0E.
Speaking of D&RGW, let's jump back to the 1960s and introduce the specific steam locomotive at the center of this drama: D&RGW no. 491. For you nerds—you know who you are—she is a K-37 Class superheated, outside-frame, 2-8-2 Mikado. She and nine other K-37s were built in-house by the D&RGW in 1928. 491 was taken out of revenue service in 1963.
As an aside, it was actually really rare for railroads to build their own steam locomotives. D&RGW decided to do this because of an entirely different historical drama which, though at the time was complex enough to max out the character limits of gossipy telegrams, can with hindsight be briefly summarized as:
Baldwin Locomotive Works: "Fuck you, pay me."
D&RGW: "NO."
Luckily for the K-37s, by the time they were taken out of service, there had emerged a very dedicated coalition of people actively working to preserve steam power in general and Colorado’s unique railroad history specifically. They were resoundingly successful: All but 8 of the 10 K-37 locomotives, and numerous examples of many other classes, were saved. All tolled, there are about 15 former D&RGW steam locomotives in operable condition or being considered for restoration at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, the Cumbres & Toltec railroad, and the Colorado Railroad Museum. Additionally, most of the heritage railroads in Colorado operate on routes decommissioned by the D&RGW.
Two of the K-37s—the 491 and the 493—have been restored to operating condition. The 491 got her second lease on life at CRM in the early 2000s-2010s, and the Durango & Silverton returned the 493 to service in 2020.
While D&S made some purposeful modifications to 493 to render her more suited to 21st century operation, CRM set out with the goal of restoring 491 as close to historically accurate condition as possible. They were in fact contractually bound to do so, since the museum had applied and received significant funding from the Colorado State Historical Fund, and the terms of that grant required that any change made to the locomotive would have to be backed up by records or photographs preserved from her days in revenue service.
That should be easy, right? We just talked about those revenue days that were very recent, didn't we? Hit the independent and the automatic brake, and throw on a handbrake just for good measure, because historical accuracy can be VERY tricky for railroad preservation.
Given that, the revenue service life of most pieces of equipment was, on average, about 40 years, many have been overhauled or significantly modified while in service. Others have been subjected to "Red Green this thing out of my shop and get it back on the mainline" types of repairs that, while technically accurate to the period, were not the typical or best practice and are inappropriate in a preservation setting.
There are, in other words, sometimes multiple and equally well documented versions of “historically accurate,” and it becomes a matter of opinion as to which one is best to recreate. Because of the very powerful personal connections to the equipment we discussed earlier, those opinions are often VERY passionate. It's at this point where we FINALLY where we get to the meat of this drama, because the restoration of the 491 put one specific question in the crossfires of that passion:
What color did the D&RGW paint the 491 and, more importantly, what color should CRM paint her?
Most people assumed that since the 491 showed up at the museum painted almost all black and silver, she would be painted the same way during her restoration. However, given that she had been in service for 35 years, it was possible that she had been repainted at least once or twice. In fact, for a long time, and I mean longer that the internet has even been around long, there has been a dogged faction of people who that believed the 491 operated at least some of her revenue service with her boiler jacket(a thin, metal sheet that holds insulation against the boiler and protects the boiler itself from the elements) painted dark green. As evidence, they pointed to old shop records, a few eyewitness testimonies, and cans of paint found in various facilities. This faction made it known that they wished the 491 to be painted green, and those who preferred black or thought black was better documented raised their objections.
It should have been easy to figure out which color was 'correct,' right? Didn’t you say there are records? There are, but the catch is that while those records amount to a pretty good body of evidence that the D&RGW used green paint at some point, on some of its locomotives, they don't provide a comprehensive record of exactly which locomotives were painted what color at what time. There’s nothing substantive that the 491 herself was painted green.
The next best bet, you'd think, would be to look at photographs. Unfortunately, this isn't reliable. Most of the revenue service photographs of the 491 and her sisters are in black and white, and it is difficult to conclusively determine which colors are being depicted, especially when they are very similar like black and the shade of green in question. Team Green indicated that some pictures render the boiler jacket in slightly lighter shades of gray, meaning it must be a different color, and Team Black counters that the difference might be due to shadows or that paint being more glossy than what was used on other components. Besides, they say, if 491 had been painted green, wouldn't more people REMEMBER her that way? Team Green has a hand answer for that, too: The K-37s simply spent most of their service lives too dirty for the green paint to be seen. That sounds like a stupid ass-pull of an answer, but until we cleaned her up a few weeks ago, I genuinely forgot that 491 was (spoiler alert) painted green.
For YEARS, this was such a hot debate that it probably could have raised 491 up to operating pressure. Some of the source threads I’ve linked to are from the early 2000s—note that many of them mention discussing this issue in the 80s and 90s—and this debate was brought up in pre-internet railfan publications and correspondences. It came to a head when, in the process of the restoration, staff at CRM found flecks of green paint while inspecting and cleaning 491 for restoration. The samples were collected, compared against known samples, and shown to people who were familiar with 491 and other D&RGW locomotives while in service. This exhaustive, almost forensic investigation proved that the 491 had, in fact, been painted green, so proponents of a black boiler jacket revised their position in the face of new evidence.
Just kidding of course.
While there was no question that CRM's restoration of 491 was very well done, there was still some debate about whether those paint flecks were enough to prove that she was ever painted green. Some say that they were not present in great enough quantities to prove definitively that the paint came from the 491 or to determine exactly what parts of the locomotive had been painted that color.
Others point out that while the 491 and her sisters were built by the D&RGW, the railroad used boilers that had been assembled by Baldwin Locomotive Works earlier than 1928. Unless their customers requested otherwise, Baldwin painted the locomotives and parts it produced green as a default. The presence of the flakes, this opinion states, is only proof that the boiler was painted green at some point, not that it was painted green while it was part of 491.
The complicating factor is that Baldwin appears to have been very inconsistent with how they mixed up their “Baldwin Green:” Sometimes it was a very dark emerald. Other times, as with some paint on the tender 100% established to be Baldwin Green, it is an almost tan shade of olive green. Since we don’t have extant representations of all of those variations, the counterargument goes, we can’t definitively rule out that the boiler jacket samples came from Baldwin.
The most vehement of the anti-green coalition imagined a full-tilt, “Red Alert, folks, Andi in Kansas, you're on the air” level conspiracy about where the paint chips actually came from. They propose that they might have been, *ahem,* conveniently put there by someone who definitely wasn’t a D&RGW employee and who most certainly was not working on the 491 between 1928 and 1963. I don’t want to say much on this, because these folks just won’t be convinced, but that opinion is out there.
Who was convinced that the chips were good evidence, though, was the State Historical Fund, which approved changing the color of 491's boiler jacket to green. That’s how she is to this very day. There’s still some grousing that the she should have been painted black, and the broader debate about exactly which members of the D&RGW fleet was painted green is still a point of contention among narrow gauge railroad enthusiasts. I want to stress again that even though this drama might seem overwrought, most of it comes from a heartfelt dedication to preserving things “correctly,” and very personal reasons to prefer a certain version of “correct.”
I’m going to end this post, though, by saying this: It doesn't really matter what color the 491 actually is, because we also strive for historical accuracy in how often we wipe her down.

This is just a classic ''Barca back from international break'' game. I wouldn't really overreact since this was a well drilled Mallorca on their home turf against a team, ridden with injuries and players who served international duty. Pretty sloppy and brutal but these are the games you need to win for a league title.

I thought we’re joking, but people genuinely want 4-0 every match. Sorry, but it won’t continue like that and it’s not necessarily the problem (though it could be one). Such matches won you league titles. Go look at Real Madrid’s February schedule of the last season and see how thet did it (I say that because it’s recent example). Sometimes you barely won and it’s okay as long as you have a win even though it’s due to a few game-changer players.

Kessie continues to be invisible, 3 appearances in a row. He’s neither finding good spaces nor asking for the ball. It’s concerning. He looked far more dynamic in pre-season. So the place I’m working is owned by 2 guys from Iran, recently they have started making at lot of noticeable changes, The most noticeable is that they are hiring their own people (Iranians) and having each person in each department to train them on each person’s specific job. The thing is in the past month and a half they have literally doubled the amount of employees working there, which does not correlate to the size of the business. The business has not grown to that size in which they need double the employees. See my bosses are penny pinchers, We are not paid fairly for the type of work we are preforming. So for them to double the payroll makes no sense to me. I have been joking with the guys at work saying stuff like “they are replacing us” and my theory was that they are going to have us train these new employees and once they are able to perform the job they are going to start letting all of us go. So that they can push all of the non Iranian employees out the door and run a business with only Iranian workers. And then out of no where comes this “Legal Agreement” that they are having us sign. Which backs up my theory even more. So I’m thinking that they are making us sign this agreement so that once they “terminate” our employment we are unable to work for any other company that deals in the same stuff for a “reasonable amount of time” (whatever that means) and I think that they are trying to prevent us from retaliating out of spite by working with a competitor and telling them trade secrets. But who knows, I could be completely wrong. I just know when something fishy is going on. I feel like my main question is. Is this agreement even Legally binding. And if I refuse to sign this agreement can they legally fire me. I live in Saskatchewan Canada. Thank you for you time in reading this. And for any help / advice anyone can provide me with.

I (F46)met him (M38)online 6 years ago and we had bonded immediately over our shared interests and passions. It started like an incredible, once in a lifetime adventure. We did things together we had both dreamed about and I spent my entire life savings on our travels. He had nothing after his divorce. His ex, he said, was physically abusive. He took a lot of care. So much emotional care, so much financial support for the first few years we were together. He often seemed to have a hair trigger and many times I didn’t know why he would get this dark cloud. If I asked I received a dressing down about some misstep or failed expectation I had committed. It became a regular thing, he would have this contemptuous demeanor and I would immediately fall into fawning or freezing in silence not wanting to upset him further. I would try to be a happy fun clown to cheer him. He was my best friend, greatest adventure buddy, the love of my life. All I wanted was for him to be happy, for us to both be happy. And when we were both happy the world was perfect, but the storm always returned. If I ever dared to stand up and advocate for myself in a disagreement, it was worse for me. I got threatened with abandonment, once told I would be abandoned 3000 miles from my home at a festival. He always felt like a bottomless pit of needs, and I always seemed to fall short. It was exhausting.
Sometimes he would keep me up late at night to argue with me even if I had to go to work in the early morning hours. I couldn’t seem to get him to calm down to come to an agreement that would work for us both. I figured that it was just our horrible communication skills, that we could work on it. I wanted to work on it, more than anything. Everything else with us was so easy. But the loving times never seemed to last and we would be right back to those same blame,defend,accuse loggerheads again.
Sometimes it would turn into outright fabrications, with him telling me that I had done or said something that I KNEW was not reality. It sickened me that he would do this. He would twist me up so badly in my mind that I had a difficult time even replying to his accusations. He would say that I was either lying or that my memory was terrible. We would eventually spend the next day in uncomfortable silence and one of us would make amends and things would slide back into the good times. Sometimes he would even cry about it after and I would do my best to smooth his feathers. I hurt so much but I still held so much hope that we could stop this dance.
And then my mother died in 2020. It was the very worst time of my life. She was my last living relative and we all lived together. He had also been short tempered with her even though she had always gone out of her way for him, treating him like family. He stepped up tremendously after her death. He was a rock for me when I could barely function. For 6 months he shouldered my burden and when I received my inheritance I paid him back immediately, every penny plus, for his considerable trouble. I will always be grateful for his help during this time as I had no one else and couldn’t have made it on my own. Though the intermittent glares and escalation and threats of abandonment didn’t stop during this time. I once was left sobbing and retching in a total breakdown over a disagreement that started about laundry.
The beginning of this month I began to read “why does he do that?” secretly because I had come to suspect that I was being emotionally and mentally abused all these years. Or was it me? He often complained that he felt he was treated as an afterthought when I felt like he was my only thought. Be it about his caring or cruelty, his needs and his moods, providing his happiness and his entertainment, he was always my primary focus.
I wanted to fix it, I wanted to know if I was abusive, he always seemed so hurt by any grievance I brought up, so incensed. I kept telling him that I wanted to communicate better, I wanted to feel safe enough to talk about tough things without feeling like I would be put on the defensive and have it spiral into this hurtful mess. I wanted to have us work through any issues with love. I wanted to be able to be vulnerable without fear of my words being weaponized against me.
Yesterday, while I was at work, he packed up all of his belongings and left a note saying how much he loved me, that he wanted to end things before we both resented each other and that he was going back home to his parents. It read like an attempted cover up. I had felt this coming forever, for the last 6 months in earnest I knew something like this was looming. This last month had me dreading our time together because he was worse and I had started to hold my ground. Here I am now completely alone in the world, my head spinning, my heart aching for a man who was somehow both the most loving and the most ruthless person I have ever met. As much as he has hurt me and eroded my confidence, I would have him back in a heartbeat.
I’m sorry this is so long, I’m new to posting on here. Please someone help me sort this out. I need help, I need direction, I need support. Is there a group or resource you could recommend?

Me (f21) and my boyfriend (M22) have been together for almost three years. We lived together since we was five months together. The beginning of 2023 was very rough for us, ended up living with his mother & in January we hit a pothole, and that caused us a new transmission, so we tried to save every penny to focus on fixing the car and it took three months to get it back.
During that time his mother told us she wouldn't charge us any rent so we can focus on getting the car back & only pay half of the electrical bill. she ended up taking advantage of that, running her tv for literally 24/7, window ac for 10 hours a day, and her excuse was "The dogs need to watch tv & be cold". she caused the electricity bill to be nearly 350 dollars which is insane knowing it use to be maybe 150 before but we paid either way. And then two weeks later she asked us "Where is her rent money" me and boyfriend were confused because she told us she wouldn't charge us given the situation we were in but we weren't budging to give her more than agreed as a result she ended up kicking her son and me out so we were homeless/living in the car for almost two months. during the time we move out, she threw away almost everything we had, our dresser, desks, chair, mattress, kitchenware, and cookware. I confronted her about it and she claim she never did such a thing.
he hasn't spoken a word to his mother at all, he said that he disowned her & he wants nothing to do with her. meanwhile, she cried to him "I don't understand why you won't speak to me, I'm still your mother, I'm trying to help you, I struggle growing up so you have to struggle to learn how to be a man" his mother also tried to make my boyfriend choose "his girlfriend or his mother" which is kinda weird.
his father? an absolute gentleman, he help us throughout this, help us with the move, gave us food when we couldn't afford any, and never bashed us through this. (he couldn't have a say in the situation).
now we finally got a place, it is our first night. our first night being able to lay down on a mattress, our first time holding each other, being able to shower fully, and cuddling in two months. we took a shower together & it felt amazing, we also laid down and started embracing each other. his words were "I want to feel all of you, I miss you". his eye had so much love and sweetness in them. it truly felt like the most passionate and imitate moment we had in almost three years. I ended up taking a nap and I woke up to him holding me so tightly, it felt so nice. All of our efforts, the times we were so close to giving up, working doubles for days, and weeks straight finally paid off. it's a new chapter of love and beginning for us and I just love him so much! I'm so happy to finally have a roof over our heads again. I know we are young but I truly want to marry him someday. he is the best person ever. and I would go through anything with him. he stayed with me and I stayed with him during the most difficult, humbling time of our life. Our first day in our new apartment was great. Our moment in bed made the love I have for him grow exponentially.

Alright so I'm getting my nose into recording my music with some heftier gear. I've done the straight USB mic and any free DAW for years but I'm super curious to create a different sound using midi. I have access to presonus mixer Ub1622fx-pro and a 2 port audiobox interface, and the M7 mic all from PreSonus. I haven't used any of these yet because they're my dad's and he's trying to hand them down to me after his stroke. Me personally I want a mixer that doubles as an audio interface and also has the capability to record singular tracks during live performances--but I get that that's going to cost a pretty penny. Just wanna know if I should take him up on his gift or tell him to go ahead with selling to another party.
So. In general, what do you guys think about PreSonus? Any tips or suggestions for a noob that has the passion but zero brains for thus stuff (so far)? Thanks in advance for anyone's kind contribution and assistance.

I went crazy…I was hitting the lowest level of my life after I had just barely experienced the very hight of it. Do you know the amount of pain I experienced all with in just a few weeks? It was an overload. I crashed and in doing do I burned not just myself but my entire world too. You broke my already busted and bruised heart. A Heart you knew that was already fighting each day to stay alive… you took it, held it for a moment and then just threw it as hard as you could to the ground.
Even now, months later, while typing this out, tears of sadness flow down my cheeks… why did you hurt me like that? What did I do to you?!
I remember the very first feeling of dread, a feeling I had never felt with you .
I knew something was wrong… I knew the moment you walked into my door.. I ignored it, brushed it off, telling myself your journey had worn you out.

Maybe, lazy rural players should just add another 10km to their walk a day to find another gym or two. Maybe lazy rural players should keep doing Niantic's job for them to improve their game, by going through grinding trial and errors to see if stops are good enough for Niantic. Maybe rural players shouldn't be such penny pinchers and pay for the double prices of Remote passes. Maybe rural players should stop whining and take advantage of the community ambassador program, because Niantic put in such hard work to only find ambassadors for major cities. Maybe rural players should use the rural aquisitioned concept of a fireside chat, which I am guessing most city folk have never actually had in real life, to still find zero players at any of them because we all already know where the one place in our town with gyms is, but thanks for the advice Niantic. Maybe rural players should buy a high mileage car and go to the city every day, to play the game right by walking a block. Maybe rural players should stop being such hicks and move to a Niantic approved living area. Or maybe, shots fired, people can start playing a game that isn't actively working against them playing and seems to be opposed to any proposals to fix the issue, with a developer that doesn't talk down to any customer who questions their actions.

I am pretty torn over this book.
On one hand, the first half I hated. I thought the plot had potential, I just strongly disliked the author's writing style. On the other hand, it had a kind of.. addictive quality to it. Especially into the second half, I found myself needing to know what happens next.
The author does include some folklore. And I appreciate that she actually took time to research and what is included is relatively accurate. Additionally, after a certain point I just found myself needing to know what happens next. I didn't care for Jude's love interests or the weird tournament she entered or her immature bullies and especially not for Cardan. But, without giving any spoilers, I felt things beginning to mature towards the end. It was more about fantasy politics opposed to an annoying MC being bullied by her classmates.
In the first few chapters, the main character's parents are murdered. And it's so boring. There is no emotion, there is nothing to make you empathise with Jude as she's witnessing this tragedy. It's not written like a tragedy at all, and that doesn't feel intentional. And this continues for a lot of the book, it just makes it pretty boring.
There's no proper set up for the world Jude finds herself in. In my opinion, a good book is one that is able to explain a world within the plot, in the first few chapters. For me, a good example of this is Shadow and Bone, this book sets up and explains the magical world very well, but without going out of its way to do it. That book incorporates this explanation into the plot, while The Cruel Prince doesn't. This book doesn't explain some key & reoccurring concepts until about halfway through. Black seems to just throw the world and its characters at the reader without much explanation or context, and expects us to go 'oh yeah that makes perfect sense'. In my opinion, even plot twists shouldn't be entirely out of the blue. This was one of my initial introductions to the fantasy genre, but I had read a lot of mystery. And in most of these books, the big reveal or realisation is a massive penny-drop moment - but you had enough clues and small details throughout that it makes sense. It makes you go 'Why didn't I see that coming?', whereas this book just makes you go '...what?'.
Also, I despised Cardan. I've seen so many comments and reviews saying they love him, but I hate him with a burning passion. I cannot stand the hot bully love interest, and Cardan is no exception. He treats Jude awfully the whole way through the book, and as soon as HE needs something, he starts treating her a little better but still like an entitled jerk. Abusive and problematic men being treated as the ultimate love interest is just gross to me. Now, I have since read the two sequels to the trilogy, and it gets a bit better - especially in The Queen of Nothing. And yes I know it's the whole character arc thing, but it's still gross.
And finally... there was very little substance. Until the last few chapters, I felt very little actually happened. A lot of a human girl being bullied, and that weird, boring tournament I completely forgot about until writing a review... but towards the end it did hugely improve. Spies, murder & plotting. More like fantasy politics. And I liked that.
Of course, this is just my personal opinion and I would love to hear others, no matter if you agree or disagree. At the end of the day, this book wasn't bad. I did somewhat enjoy it towards the end. And the two sequels were incredible in comparison. I genuinely loved The Queen of Nothing.

Wage theft by employers is the biggest form of theft compared to other forms of robbery, shoplifting, etc. Speaking from personal experience, companies that micromanages time such as timing bathroom breaks,having the “if you got time to lean you got time to clean” mentality, or berating you doing non work related things like talking to a coworker during down time are also committing some form of wage theft. Wage theft can be in the form of making you come 15 minutes early to “prepare” but not letting you clock in, stealing tips for those who get tips, and time card editing where employers edit your time card where it seems like you took a break but you actually didn’t.
Don’t let these penny pinchers take away your hard earned money and make sure to keep track of timesheet and paychecks. Also always do what is stated in your job description. Nothing more, nothing less.

I am about to do my leaving cert in just about 2 weeks and I am thinking about further education afterward. I am looking to become a commercial pilot, flying is my ultimate passion so I am certain it is a career for me.
I am planning to do the Ryanair Mentored Programme with Atlantic Flight Training Academy - https://afta.ie/mentorship-ryanai
This programme is a specifically designed programme for Ryanair that trains students throughout under Ryanair SOPs and at the end of the course you have a fast tracked assessment with Ryanair.
Now, the problem is the cost. the programme cost is 88,000 euro.
As the cost is incredibely high I am curious as to what my best options are in terms of financing it.
I am working part-time in a shop right now making only 10.50/hour and around 1,000 euro a month so I am making pennies currently. After my leaving cert do I try and find a better paying full time position somewhere else and save like mad for a few years?
Or do I try and look at getting a loan? I have savings in the credit union and my parents have been members of it for 20+ years with good credit history. They would be willing to go guarantor on the loan if it seems right but i'm not sure how much I would get for it being a first time loan.
I want to avoid debt at all costs but with Ryanair announcing their new order for new 737-10 Aircraft and Mentorship programme only 10 Minutes away from me it seems like a great time to get into it.

I work seasonally at a Renaissance faievent venue in Oklahoma. We have a large (50ft-150ft diameter?) man made pond. The pond is roughly 15 years old, maybe 20. It has a fountain in the middle and local turtles and frogs have established themselves in it, but to my knowledge it has no fish. The water is currently murky and the pond as a whole is very drab. I don't have any pictures at the moment but intend to get some this weekend.
My main question is this: Are there plants, substrates, bacteria, or creatures that we can add to the pond that will improve it's water quality or at least make it more aesthetically pleasing, without negatively effecting it's current turtle and frog inhabitants?
The owner is a penny pincher, so a filtration system simply wouldn't be an option, but he loves nature so he would be willing to add things to it to create a natural bio cycle so the pond would be self-maintaining. The space has so much un-utilized potential, and I would love to see it improved.

Maybe an insensitive or ignorant question, but why do y’all work with the customer that’s high maintenance, cheap asl, and wants top tier service? As well as these spot boards where you have to bid $300 under market to win a load.
At this point in my brokering career I can no longer entertain these clowns, it’s just a waste of time.

Dear Mighty One,
I see the Lord's eye upon us we discover by revelation the 'new thing' He is doing in our lives and of those of us who, beyond the present darkness, gaze into His eyes. The 'tuning fork' of Yahweh is orchestrating the sons and daughters of our living God in growing holy remnant unity to withstand as we stand with Him fearlessly in the boldness of the faith of God in this hour. Egypt is behind us, and the covenantal promises and prophetic words we have received (1 Tim. 1:18) empower us by His Holy Spirit to advance in warfare, humbly growing in the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

Yesterday as I encouraged some friends, I said, 'stay in the blissful extravagance of His presence.' Today I saw in Psalm 34 His eyes are upon us in vs. 8 & 9 and v:15 about the 'uncompromisingly righteous.' We are to be holy as He is holy. That leaves no room for any more compromise or seeking to please man or the traditions of men, being free of the fear of man, the religious spirit, and any demonic activity. We are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. Lord, help us understand by revelation to walk in all the authority we have been given by Jesus Christ.
Psalm 34:8-9 'O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him. O fear the Lord, you His saints [revere and worship Him]! For there is no want to those who truly revere and worship Him with godly fear.'
v. 15 'The eyes of the Lord are toward the [uncompromisingly] righteous and His ears are open to their cry.'

Pray for each other, dear friends. We all know we each need prayers going up to Heaven for all those on the front lines. We each are on the front lines!
Please pray for me as I speak tomorrow online to a crusade with 8,000 expected to attend in Pakistan. In December, I will speak at conferences in Liberia and Kenya with fellow CMM Ordained ministers Robert Bimba (Liberia), Tom Omukhobero, and Daniel and Christine Oyoko (Kenya).

We are rejoicing! We just celebrated two of our six schools' graduations on June 4th in the US and June 11th in Ecuador and we thank the Lord for all He has done in their lives and will do in this new era.
