Greetings forest family!
I wanted to make a post highlighting some tips I wish I knew of when I first started attending that are more focused on the unique traditions and energy that forest holds. Hopefully you will use this information as a way to join right in on the magic and also take your experience to the next level.

1. The forest has real magic. Thousands of foresters come together over the years to create and manifest a beautiful experience. This allows everyone to walk away with a little piece of forest in their hearts. Find a way to participate in that wether it’s a gift or a compliment or even helping those around you. The forest will reward you if you show up. The energy that’s revolving that weekend is palpable and if you step into it and dance with the energy magic will happen.
   
2. Don’t miss Saturday night cheese. Took me a few years to get tuned into the magic but they are the reason this fest started and if you want to really feel the love and cheesy vibes don’t miss Saturday night shabang truly a spectacle that encapsulates every forest year! This is the true forest family reunion each year!
   
3. STS9 is playing and they are forest double OG’s. I promise if you want to truly feel the connectedness of forest you will not want to miss out. My neighbors the first year pleaded and begged me to catch them and it changed the course of my musical taste. There’s a reason they have been playing for 20+ years I promise you will come back to this thread and thank me.
   
4. Get lost in the forest! I highly recommend that you make it a point to lose your friends and wander the forest at night. There is a portal that opens and brings out the real forest wanderers! If you are able to take a bad moment like losing your friends as away to find out more about yourself and wander freely in a safe space with tons of characters do it you won’t regret. Again the forest will reward those who take a leap!
   
5. If you are dying of heat at the campsite or can’t find any comfy sleeping go into the forest with your hammock and take a nap. It’s usually about 10 degrees cooler and your under the shade. Bonus if you find a peaceful set like dixons violin (amazing sleeping music) Sleeping in the forest is part of the magic. I like to get some food smoke a joint and take a snoozer!
   
6. There are so many Easter eggs/ puzzles official an unofficial so flip every rock look around every corner and say happy forest to everyone! My 4th year I found out that there are festival staff that run their own mini Easter eggs and have cool prizes. ( got a super cool nectar day pin on Saturday by figuring out a riddle one of the staff had) he says that there are many people that come to create their own! I’ll give you one clue look for a guy name a acoomofo he will tell you the rest!
   
7. Forest was my first experience with a ceremony setting. Just like the tribes would gather and dance and chant to the gods we are doing the same. Remember that once you become forest fam it is your duty to continue that energy and way of thinking into the real world. As a member of the forest tribe remember the forest is always inside you and you can tap into that by going inside yourself. With that being said honor and respect forest as if she was your mother she will always provide for you so appreciate and apply the lessons she’s teaches!
   

Bonus -make sure to keep an eye out for Carl that little forest monkey has been hiding for years!!!
Truly excited to continue spreading forest joy and passing on the lessons and traditions that have been handed down to me by my forest ancestors. I will see everyone in a few weeks! Jah bless! <3

Apple really seems to have a thing for Lost. Silo is their another Lost wannabe after Severance and they both seem to not get why Lost was so successful. To be fair - Silo to a much higher degree.
Lost was about the central mystery for a lot of people and obviously to keep them coming back the writers couldn't answer the questions too quickly (I don't want to get into wheter they actually did answer any of them in a satisfactory manner, that's not my point). But the character plots, mini mysteries, stories of each character - they were also super engaging and people genuinly wanted to know more about those characters, were invested in the drama, love triangles, the everyday survival stuff, all of that. Waching it back then I never felt that the show was wasting my time because an episode didn't develop the central mystery enough (by the way it seems crazy now that we used to have 24 episode seasons). It even made flashbacks exciting!
Silo doesn't get it or at least can't execute on it. The characters are mostly bland. The plotlines outside the central mystery are cliche and boring. I don't care about the investigation or the super vanilla Love Story With A Secret (tm). So now I'm mostly there every week for the last 10 minutes or so of each episode where the central plot moves forward at a snail pace. I rarely engage with anything else.
I don't really want to shit on Severance, because people seem to worship that show, but I felt something similiar there. Looking back and comparing it to Silo now, the characters and secondary plotlines in Severance while not perfect were much, much better. So at least this show made me appreciate Severance more.
Now with all that said I don't hate Silo. The set design is great, acting at least competent, it's totally watchable during lunch or something, a fine 6/10. But it could be so much more and maybe it can be in the future. At least I hope so.

My daughter (6) and I spent around 70 hours playing SoS: PoOT and really enjoyed it. We would take turns playing each in-game day or so. While it was ok taking turns and she did really well, there were times where she would want to just ride her horse around the entire day instead of watering crops or keeping the makers running. It was painful at times for me to watch the clock ticking away, and I wished I could have been doing some tasks on the side while she was doing other things.
When I saw that Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom had a 2 player mode, and was on sale a week or so ago, I didn't hesitate to pick it up.
I finally got around to trying it out today, and ... it's very lacking.

• Player 1 is the only one who can perform any action that would open a menu, or move to different areas. I mostly expected this, but I was hoping the game would let each player open a mini window to interact with their inventory, the stash, the selling box, those kinds of things.
  • Player 2 cannot put items in the stash or selling boxes at all. Player 2 cannot press R2 to switch to the bag items carousel (like Player 1 can), so there isn't even a way to pull out an item to put in the shipping box the roundabout way. Player 2 can't eat food to restore stamina either, due to this.
• Stamina is shared between the 2 players. I understand they didn't want to add another stamina heart bar into the UI, but why does it drain so ridiculously fast? We drained the stamina bar to the blue warning level by 9 am 3 days in a row, so we'd have to take a nap until 4 or 5 pm just to keep going.
• The inventory/bag is shared between the 2 players. This one might seem like a perk to some people, but it feels awkward and incredibly limiting at the beginning of the game. You can only carry 8 items to start with. In the 90 minutes we played the game, we had to head back to the farm to stash stuff 5 times because we couldn't carry anything else. They should at least double the starting bag size when playing 2 players. The game should reward gamers for playing with a friend by allowing the game to be easier, but it seems almost a hinderance to have 2 players.
  • I cannot for the life of me find a way to drop things, what on earth?! My daughter really wanted to catch a butterfly, but we had no space. We had some weeds in our bag, so I tried to drop them and couldn't. We had to run all the way back home to drop stuff off, and of course the bugs reset whenever you change areas.
  • This game also suffers from the same item rank thing other SoS games have, where you can carry nearly limitless amounts of the same rank of an item, but different ranks have to take up an entire other spot in the very limited bag.
• Player 2 has to be Doraemon, with no option to be any other character. My daughter does not like "the blue cat guy" as she calls him, so she'll only play as Noby. I have to keep taking the Player 1 controller to organize our inventory, find things to sell, go through shop lists, etc.
• Player 2 cannot talk to people to help build friendships.
• If Player 1 clicks X (PS controller anyway) near Player 2, it'll pop-up a menu asking if you want to dismiss Doraemon. I'm not sure why they made that such an easy action to accomplish, when it's something you can do from the L2 menu (in Settings), and it's something you'd rarely need to do.

I suppose I'm done ranting. The game definitely has some perks as well, and it's a beautiful and fun game still. It's just really disappointing that the 2 player mode is so restrictive.
What the game does allow player 2 to do, is help with the farming activities; tilling, seeding, watering, mining, harvesting, chopping trees. Player 2 can also fish and catch bugs. We haven't unlocked any animals yet, but I imagine player 2 can do all the animal care things as well, except maybe refilling food containers.
Another game, Kitaria Fables (which I just started playing yesterday and realized it has a 2 player mode), has different bags for each player, and allows players to open their full menus on the side of the screen. Each player can also use items and interact with storage boxes and the selling box.

Phobia Season 23: Radiophobia

Episode 1

Introduction

Welcome back to Phobia, an Ultra Hardcore group organized by Chasmic_, jamieNCL, MarcC5M & 5kylord, that exposes its players to a new fear each season. In UHC, health does not regenerate normally, and players must instead use golden apples or health potions to heal. The last player or team standing wins.
For S23, we're keeping medicated over Radiophobia!

• Rigged Teams: We made teams of 3.
  
• New City World: It's city world, but not that one! This newer generation features; more vanilla terrain outside of cities including vanilla caves, greater building variety, interesting structures like giant subway networks and basements full of spawners, and grand highways!
  
• Radiation: In episode 2, the metaphorical bombs will drop and irradiate the surface. This radiation is a silent killer, slowly building up in players on the surface and giving them unusual & cryptic effects. Some of these are good, but many are bad. You can't tell how much radiation you have, so keep some medicine on hand to cure your ailments. Supply drops will restocked in certain locations that'll give you more resources as well as medicine. Just avoid the surface, right?
  
• Risky Retrieval: WRONG. Any gold or diamonds you mine will not give you their items. Instead, these drops are sent to ender chests in each quadrant. In order to collect your hard-earned materials, you must emerge into the radioactive ruins above.

Hello there! I've decided to start a "blog" in which I put together analysis for some new, unique, or custom commanders for folks to look through when working on a new deck. This is targeted for a casual EDH audience and for players seasoned and new. Hope that you all enjoy reading these as much as I enjoy making them.

Hi Minimalists,
After the summer I'll be headed into my junior year of an American University. I've been a minimalist since my freshman or sophomore year of high school so I've been at this for a while. In my years of college so far I've lived in a dorm, an apartment, and at home on a gap semester so I can confidently give others advice. Whether you're starting out in minimalism or wanting to deepen your practice, this is for you. College is a great time to start minimalism because if you're like me, you're moving around a lot.
My University is a 3 hour drive from my house so luckily I was able to use a car to move in and out but I didn't have a car to use which turned out to help my minimalism as it resulted in smaller shopping trips. If I were flying in, it would be a different story and I would have to pack less but I had some room.
Clothing

1. Seasonal clothing: My college town has all four seasons so layering was my friend. Summers and spring I wore pants and shorts with a tank top. I have one pair of denim shorts and pants because really, who needs more? They last many wears and a basic blue or black denim can go with anything. In the fall and winter, I layered the exact same outfits with a jacket. I have a few different jackets which I'm trying to pair down. I have a huge snow jacket which I hate having because it takes up so much space. I was about to get rid of it but we had the craziest winter this past January and February so I'm glad I kept it. Sometimes you don't want to keep things but it will serve its purpose. If it doesn't, get rid of it. When I get clothes, I like to get new clothes, I like for them to have multiple purposes but snow jackets are very specific, however, it's better to be comfortable. Especially if you're walking everywhere which I was doing.
2. Underwear: While I was at my apartment this past spring semester, I realized I never used all my underwear and socks in a week (I do laundry once a week). Since I've moved home for the summer, I put some of each away in a box and used what I had. If I needed more I'd grab some but I think I've figured out the perfect number which is different for everyone. I can't really comment on bras even tho I am a girl but I don't really wear them or if I do, it's a yoga bra and I'll wear it as my shirt.
3. Shoes: If you live somewhere snowy and have a pair of hiking shoes that are water-resistant, they work in snow. I was told they wouldn't work so I bought a pair of Timberlands and barely wore them and wasted $150 on them. Recently, I bought a pair of Chacos chelsea boots. I got the black color so I could wear them to work and they'd look more professional. However, black absorbs heat so my feet always get warm. Once these have run their time I'll get a brown color. I have one pair of tennis shoes that I only wear over summer when I work at summer camps. I'm not a fan of tennis shoes but if you go to the gym or run then have one pair and only get another once they are worn out. I have two pairs of hiking sandals which I can also wear with socks in the chillier weather but I'd like to pair them down to one.
4. "Maybes": You know these clothes, the ones you just cannot seem to donate but don't know why you're keeping onto them (or you do). What I've found is I'll get a bag and put my maybes in those and put them out of sight for a few weeks. If I don't miss them, I have my answer.
5. "Maybes" pt. 2: If you move home during the summers and/or winters, I highly suggest keeping some maybes at home. When you come back, you'll most likely be able to donate it all.
6. Hangers: Only bring with you how many hangers you currently need plus maybe one or two more if you want to be nice to yourself. Once you run out, you cannot buy any more clothes.
7. 1 in 2 out: This has been my philosophy with clothes for quite some time now because clothes are the biggest struggle of mine when it comes to minimalism. Now, whenever I buy an item of clothing, it has to be able to replace at least two items I already have or be something I need but don't have yet (like work clothes).

Bedroom

1. Linen: You only need one pair of sheets, I promise.
2. Desk: I work my best when my desk if clean so all I keep on there is a mason jar with a few pens, my laptop, and a fake plant (I don't like to move around a bunch with real plants and not every place I'm in has a window with a lot of sunlight). I take all my notes digitally so I don't have to worry about physical clutter. I do that with books/textbooks as well. Unless I need to get a physical copy, I always purchase it as an online book.

Bathroom

1. Towels: One towel is all you need, I promise.
2. Toiletries: Scaling down your bathroom routine is a must. I haven't worn makeup since I've become a minimalist and it works for me and I enjoy it but if makeup is a must for you, really think about each step and if you can cut out any. Also, don't keep so many refills on hand, just go buy another when you need it, it really helps with clutter. A few things I have refills on hand. Like my deodorant comes in packs of two and my razor comes with multiple head replacements.
3. Shower: I've decided I'm going to get rid of my bath mat next semester. Why do I need one if I can just dry off in the tub/shower? Really think about what you actually need.
4. Toothbrush: This is something I've just decided to do. I have an electric toothbrush that I've used for years but I'm going to move back to a good old fashioned manual one. The replaceable toothbrush heads are like $15 a piece! Plus, it's bulkier and I always have to keep a normal one on hand when I take a trip.

Kitchen
My roommate and I split the cupboards and drawers but I didn't use half of mine!

1. Pots & pans: Get a good cast iron pan and pot and you'll never need anything else (just be sure you season them right). Maybe get another saucepan if your recipes are more complex but scale down on the complex recipes! (See my next point)
2. Recipes: I love to cook but sometimes the recipe has 10 spices, 8 different veggies, and 10 different topping choices. I'm vegan so that makes some things easier but not much. You can edit recipes. It may take some trial and error but spice it to your liking. You're not going to taste a 1/4 tsp of cumin, I promise. Also, I don't like bell peppers so if a recipe has that, I get rid of it. Finding simpler recipes has really helped my kitchen stay minimal.
3. Food: This is something I'm still trying to work on. I didn't cook much in my dorm but this past semester I didn't have a meal plan and I had a kitchen. I was spending anywhere from $200-400 a month on groceries and unfortunately I left a lot of food to go to waste. MAKE A MEAL PLAN. I love notion and made a recipe book with my favorite recipes. This has helped immensely with food waste. Also, don't get that one super specific thing for one recipe that you're only going to make once. Either skip the recipe or find a substitute. I'll use this example which doesn't apply to me but it's a good example. I love tahini and use it in a lot of things. I can go through a jar of it in 2 months. Others however may never use it but one recipe calls for it. Use another nut butter instead or skip the recipe. Or find more to use it in instead of letting it sit in your fridge and just throwing it out when you move.
4. Plates, utensils, etc.: Do you really need more than 2 plates/bowls/cups? If you have guests, get compostable reusable plates or BYOP. I had 3 of everything but rarely used the 3rd so when I go back, I'm only taking 2 of everything. I wash my dishes as soon as I'm done (or as I go) so it hasn't been a problem for me. Same goes with knives. Do you really need a whole knife block? Just get 1 or 2 quality knives and you'll never need another again.
5. Appliances: Be careful when it comes to appliances because they take up a lot of space when moving. If you drink coffee a lot, get coffee appliances. For me, I love tea so I have a kettle to boil water. I recently got a high speed blender to use as a blender and a food processor and I've loved it. I also recently got an air fryer as a gift. I haven't used it yet but I'm also scared to start haha. I just need to do it once and then I'll be familiar with it. However, if I can use that to replace having to heat up the oven each time, I'll take it. Don't get a toaster oven. You can heat up your bread on a pan on the stove just perfectly and it saves space.
6. Random shit: We all love those fancy shaped bottles and the cool fridge organizers. I had a fancy bottle last semester. Didn't use it once so it is not coming back with me next semester. Those clear plastic fridge organizers are expensiveeee. Do you really need them? Minimalism isn't about having the best organization, it's about being mindful with your stuff. Maybe you find value in those organizers, go for it! But for me personally, they wouldn't add any value to me as I can already organize my fridge pretty well. However, I just bought one of those rotating organizers because the corner of one of my cabinets was getting crowded with spices and oils.

Cleaning

1. Find a good multi-purpose cleaner and it will be a lifesaver!
2. Dryer balls are your best friend.
3. Target's brand Ever Spring has a concentrated laundry detergent and the bottle takes up almost no room and one squirt gets the job done. It's been a lifesaver.
4. Just get a broom. A vacuum takes up a lot of space and is heavy.

Living Room

1. Ngl, I never touched my living room once. I spent no time there. My roommate had some things but if you're not going to hang out there much, don't keep anything in there.

I’ve (30F) been married to my husband (33M) for 5 yrs now. We just had a baby 6 month ago. When we found out, I told my mom almost right away but waited to tell everyone else. We actually had a picnic when I was 14 wks and we announced then. All my in laws were in attendance as well as my family. When my mil found out that my mom knew, she was upset that she wasn’t clued in but didn’t voice that right away due to her being sensitive to my being pregnant (she told this to my husband later after I gave birth).
While I was pregnant I found out my daughter had an issue that would likely result in a surgery. I was very sad and deeply worried about my child. I told my husband not to tell his family as they are very socially active in our community and I really didn’t want the word out. I also didn’t want the added stress of having to be asked about it every time I saw them since we see them at least once a week, sometimes more. Every time I even thought about it would start crying so I didn’t want to burst into tears at every turn. So he told his mom at the end of my pregnancy without me knowing.
After I gave birth she took my husband out and told him she’s upset that he didn’t tell her first before everyone else about the pregnancy, and then about our daughters issue. She told him she was upset he hasn’t told her about his new job until he started it. He apologized and told her that he will keep her in the loop more. I suspect he may have told her I asked him not to tell those things ( which I guess is true) but I’m the type to keep things down low and then announce when I feel ready. Anyway, I have no proof he told her that I asked him.
After I gave birth, the circus began. My in laws all visited at drastically different times of the day when I was at the hospital resulting in me not getting a chance to rest. I stayed at my parents house for 10 days following the birth so my mom can help with baby. She was upset that baby will know my family better than theirs, so 5 days post partum, husband took the baby to his parents house, even though I was asking him not to and was trying to establish my breast milk supply. When mil would come to visit she kept saying “turn the TV on and music so she gets used to noise since you guys are so quiet.” Which is a dig at my family since we are more quiet.
His family is super well known in our community and they are very extroverted. To give you context, when we to a wedding, my husband can walk through and know at minimum one person on each table. They pride themselves on being extroverts. On birthday texts they send each other on the family group chat they often call each other social experts and socially intelligent. So when they call me “quiet” and introverted I know they do not mean it in a good way.
When I went home my mil and sil and kids all came over. Husband said you guys are all welcome here please come anytime- she said loudly -“are you sure your wife wants us over?”
After realizing we needed more space after baby arrived my husband and I discussed buying a bigger place. I guess he told her bc one day she just goes “I don’t like when people think things can be handed to them, without having to work for it” she was talking about a house. I actually didn’t realize that was a dig at me till later lol.
I mean I can keeping going and going but I just would be typing all day. Should I be angry? Bc I feel like she is overstepping.
Edit: I guess I forgot to drive the point home with the extroverted vs introverted stuff. I am by no means socially inept. I love my friends, have a great circle and so does my family. We are just by nature not as loud as his family hence being called quiet. They take this as us being “introverted” which I hate labeling myself that because people automatically think you’re a hermit crab or something. She uses this as a dog at me here and there. For example she and sil will say “LO is a “insert family name here” and she looooves to be social so u need to take her out”. I gave birth in The dead of winter in the Midwest in below freezing temps. I could not go out with a newborn during this time also because of it being Covid, flu, and RSV season. I mentioned I went to target one time and they feigned surprise like wooow u actually left the house? It’s soooo annoying

Episode 01: Bigger! Badder! Brutal-er!
The scene faded into a shot of the Earth from space, an astronaut banging on a small communications satellite in the foreground with a wrench. The satellite had the letters 'TDRI' scrawled on the front in black.
"We've been to the movies," the voice of Chris McLean began as the satellite seemed to whir into function, lights on either end of it glowing green. "We've been around the world!" Just as the astronaut gave the camera thumbs-up, the satellite suddenly failed with a jolt of electricity and broke apart, the astronaut palming the visor of their helmet. "And this season," Chris said as the camera rapidly began to zoom in towards northern Canada, "we're going right back where it all began," the camera past through layers of cloud to reach a beautiful morning sky, then panned down to an all-too-familiar island, "at Camp Wawanakwa!"
Chris McLean was already standing just off-center on the dock, right by the 'Wawanakwa' sign – both of which looked like they'd gone through some heavy wear and tear. "I'm Chris Mclean," the host formally introduced himself, "and as you can see, things have changed since we've been away." He walked down the dock to where a male red-shirted intern of southeast Asian descent waited with a coconut drink on a platter; the right side of the camp's sign fell down as he passed by, taking out a small piece of the dock.
"And by changed," the host said with a darkly expectant smile, "I mean gotten really, really, dangerous!" He took the coconut drink from the intern. As soon as he did so a giant pink tentacle rose from the lake with a terrifying roar, and slammed down on the dock – Chris calmly sidestepped it, but the intern and a sizable chunk of the end of the dock were smashed into the water. "Good stuff," the host laughed.
"But the rules of the game remain the same," he told the camera, the scene changing to a panning shot of one of the cabin rooms, a cockroach scurrying over the lens. The room itself looked about the same as it had three seasons ago – decrepit and old-fashioned, but boringly so. "A handful of unsuspecting teens will bunk with complete strangers," Chris explained during the pan, the shot cutting to a stained piece of male underwear nailed to a wooden door that promptly opened to reveal the old outhouse confessional within, "air their dirty laundry in our outhouse confessional, and compete in life-threatening challenges all over the island," the camera cut to a long-distance shot of the thousand-foot-high-cliff, zooming in on the gleamingly jagged rocks in the water below it, "and risk being voted off," Chris continued as the shot cut to the clearing, firepit, oil drum, and eleven stump-seats used for Campfire Ceremonies of the past.
"Last one standing wins," the shot cut from the elimination area to a still image of a wheelbarrow overflowing with money, "one, million, DOLLARS!" A short, grand, and victorious tune blared as the shot zoomed in on the prize money.
"Speaking of our cast," Chris said back on the Dock of Shame as a cool rock theme began to play, "here they are now!"
The shot cut to a small but luxurious red-striped yacht where the twenty-four contestants of the past three seasons could be seen more-or-less enjoying themselves. Brick and Courtney were making out on the starboard side while Ella, Ezekiel, and Sadie danced nearby, Eva looking away from them. On the stern deck, Mike, Owen, and Sky were dancing and Izzy was hanging upside down swinging life rings with Noah watching with disinterest. On a higher sternward balcony, Dawn was meditating, Beth was reading a book, and Cody and Harold played with video game handhelds. Shawn dropped down on the group unexpectedly from even higher up, startling all four. And at the bow, Heather leaned coolly against the port-side railing and smiled at the camera, Topher was looking at his reflection in a mirror, Jo and Lightning arm-wrestled on the railing next to them, Amy and Rodney were dancing to music that Duncan was setting up on his boombox, and Lindsay sat on the very foremost point of the railing posing.
Chris waved at the yacht as it approached...and kept on going, the music scratching to a halt instead of the ship. "NOOOO!" Owen hollered in surprise in anguish as the boat sailed off-screen, and Chris laughed.
"No, not them," he told the camera as it zoomed back in on him. "This season, we've got all new players, fighting for the million!" he announced as the music turned tense and grandiose. "And here they come now, for real!"
The shot cut to another yacht approaching, similar to the last one but with its stripes a pale teal instead of red. Several teens could be standing along the bow, port-side, upper deck, and stern, and the camera cut to those at the head of the ship – Molly and Dave.
"Meet Molly," Chris said, the girl noticing the boy next to her feeling scared.
"What’s the matter? We’re just going to compete where the show started," Molly assured the boy.
"Dave," Chris continued, and the boy blinked.
"Yeah, but I didn't know that the island would consist of toxic waste," Dave told the girl before breaking out the hand sanitizer and rubbing his hands and arms with it, causing the indie girl to raise an eyebrow.
The camera panned to the right to show the next two campers in line – Scott and Trent.
"Scott! And, Trent!" Chris continued.
"Why are you carrying a guitar around?" Scott asked Trent, who was happily tuning up his guitar.
"So I can practice my songs at camp," Trent smiled at the grumpy boy.
"Max!" Chris announced next, the pale boy in question suddenly and without warning popping up between Scott and Trent with enough force to knock the two to the sides with startled cries. From the evil smile he was sporting to the pale skin, everything about him radiated villainy.
"These compestants have no idea what awaits them when we arrive," Max said, speaking darkly as a dark tune played in the background. "For I am the definition of pure evil!" Max degenerated into laughter as the camera panned away from him, showing Leshawna and Sammy, the next contestants.
"Leshawna," Chris introduced the large girl witnessing Max's introduction.
"That boy is not right in the head," Leshawna shook her head with disapproval.
"Sammy," Chris introduced the nervous cheerleader.
"He is a bit free-spirited," Sammy said timidly while holding her left arm.
The camera panned right again to show B. He snapped his fingers for the audience.
"B," Chris finally introduced, "and Scarlett," he added, the camera panning further right to show the girl next to B reading a book.
"You seem confident to be here," Scarlett said dryly without taking her eyes off her book. "Do you know about the substance of toxic waste and radiation?" B nodded in agreement, impressing Scarlett. "That's good to know."
"Katie," Chris continued as the scene cut to a spot further down the yacht, showing the girl holding her tablet.
"Just in," Katie waved pleasantly at the camera. "I'm about to be competing for a million dollars, I-"
As she spoke the camera panned away to Anne Maria spraying her hair.
"Anne Maria," Chris introduced.
"Oh yeah!" Anne Maria looked at the camera. "Three more coats oughta do it."
She was interrupted when Katie walked back into the shot. "Not to be rude," she looked at the camera, "but you panned away before I could finish my introduction."
"Sorry, viral," Anne Maria smirked. "The camera just loves me more."
"Geoff," Chris introduced next as he dashed onto the scene, putting himself next to the two girls.
"Okay, girls," Geoff said in what was a chill tone, "let's not get off on the wrong foot. You'll get more camera time after we're all introduced."
Anne Maria proceeded to spray her hair again, the cloud causing Geoff and Katie to cough profusely.
"Sierra," Chris introduced next, the camera panning up to the girl standing on the upper balcony.
She was hurriedly typing into her phone. "I can't wait to step foot on Camp Wawanakwa and talk about it on my blog!" Sierra said, looking around in amazement until a small flock of pigeons flew past and knocked her over the railing with a scream.
"And DJ," Chris finished as Sierra landed next to the fourteenth and final competitor of the season.
DJ looked down as Sierra landed and gasped. "Oh snap! Let me help you up!" DJ quickly bent down and helped Sierra up. "There you go."
"Yup!" Chris said as the shot cut back to him on the Dock of Shame. "It's our roughest, toughest, most explosive season ever!" He took out a remote control, and pressed the large central button with his thumb.
The yacht that the new contestants were sailing in on suddenly exploded, sending all fourteen of them flying and screaming in every direction.
Chris took a casual sip of his coconut drink, then looked at the camera and raised a finger high. "Right here," he said as a faint version of the series' capstone theme played, "on Total! Drama! Revenge of the Island!" The shot jumped outward as the title was said, showing Wawanakwa island in its entirety with a few plumes of smoke in the distance marking where the yacht had exploded.

[The sequence begins much as it did three seasons ago, with an open into letterbox format as the camera focuses on the tops of a few distant pine trees. A rusty stage light rotates up and turns on; then the shot changes to a cobwebby spotlight swinging down and turning on as well; then a small security camera popping out of one of several leaky toxic waste barrels; then another camera bursting out of a tree hollow, held by an octopus tentacle and dislodging a few bones; then a pair of fair-skinned arms clapping a film slate in front of the camera which switches to a shot of the island, briefly showing a giant octopus looking out of the lake to the right, then flying forward down the dock and past the buildings, passing under a totem pole that Chris was sitting on and which was being carried by a trio of male interns of mismatched heights.]
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doin' fine;
[The camera rapidly flies through the trees as the lyrics begin, quickly reaching the top of the thousand-foot-high cliff.]
You guys are on my mind!
[It looks down at the ring of buoys in the water below and dives, immediately cutting to an underwater view as the bubbles disperse to reveal Sammy gagging with several vicious-looking fish watching her hungrily until a claw-like machine grabbed her and pulled her up to the surface.]
You asked me what I wanted to be,
And now I think the answer is plain to see!
[Up in a canoe, B tinkered with the machine, and looked up as it pulled Sammy out of the water and into the sky.]
I wanna be...famous!
[The scene lingers on Sammy in front of the sun for a moment, then quick-pans left to Katie in the middle of the woods posing as she is filming herself; a falling Sammy abruptly hits her on the back and knocks both to the ground. Katie lifts her head to look at the cheerleader, who just smiles bashfully. Geoff runs past them as the camera pans left to Sierra sitting on a tree branch and texting on her phone. Gophers suddenly pop up from the ground and roar, causing Sierra to flee.]
I wanna live close to the sun!
[At the top of a waterfall, Molly and Trent float downriver in a canoe. Trent was playing a song on his guitar, to which Molly was vibing to until she finally spotted the waterfall. Both screamed as they went over the edge.]
Well pack your bags, 'cause I've already won!
[The camera pans down to DJ, balancing a log on his finger. Though he does not see the canoe falling behind him, he does see Molly and Trent as they fall right on top of him, breaking the log he was holding onto and sending all three into the water.]
Everythin' to prove, nothin' in my way;
[Scott is laughing at the three's misfortune, and a monstrous shark with arms and legs bursts out of the outhouse with a toothy grin, making Scott run away.]
I'll get there one day.
[The camera pans to the Mess Lodge, Chef Hatchet's silhouette visible in the window. Zooming in to the room shows him stirring a pot of some greenish slop with a dark grin, and the shot pans over to show Max cackling wickedly until Chef shoves a spoon full of slop into his mouth.]
'Cause I wanna be...famous!
[Another pan to the left reveals Anne Maria spraying her hair. Once she realized she was being recorded, she glared at the camera and sprayed it with her can. The spray cloud moves the scene out of the lodge and into the beach, where Scarlett is calmly reading her book – until a hawk flew right in just to snag it and flew away, much to Scarlett's unamusement.]
(Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
[The camera pans away from Scarlett and on to Dave applying hand sanitizer. A furry hand taps him on the shoulder, distracting the germaphobe and allowing the arm to snatch away the sanitizer. Dave realizes what's happened, and rushes angrily at the large hairy ape-man now using the hand sanitizer.]

[The camera pans down to the end of the dock to show Leshawna, blowing a kiss before taking a few steps back. She busts out a few dance moves of her own.]

[A sudden splash of water comes down on the sista, interrupting her dancing and causing her to send a frown upward – Chris is hovering above him in a jetpack and helmet, holding an empty bucket. He drops the bucket then flies off, the flames from his jetpack taking over the screen. It becomes night as they peter out, and the camera pans down across the stars and treetops and full moon to Anne Maria and Geoff sitting at a campfire together. As they lean towards each other with expectant smiles they are interrupted and separated by Chef Hatchet, wearing a hazmat suit and holding a glowing green marshmallow between them with a pair of heavy tongs.
The shot zooms out to show the rest of the cast looking shocked, whistling the last few notes of the song – Trent, Leshawna, B, Scott, Dave, and Katie on Anne Maria's side; Max, Sammy, Molly, Scarlett, DJ, and Sierra on Geoff's side; and Chris standing next to Chef on Geoff's side as well. The shot continued to zoom out until a signboard was shown marking the presumed entrance to the fire pit; it read 'TOTAL DRAMA REVENGE OF THE ISLAND' in block letters, the third word being the largest and the last word relegated to a board tacked on at the end.]

"AAAAHHH!" Max screamed, the episode fading in to him landing hard on a rock jutting out of the water. "Why must a villainous mastermind suffer like this?" he groaned, pitifully sliding into the water as Anne Maria swam past in the background.
"Chris is so getting a beatdown for this!" Anne Maria said to herself.
Sammy was shown swimming by clinging to a piece of driftwood, then looking to the side at the sound of someone coming up behind her. "Sorry about this!" Trent shouted as he shot past like a torpedo.
The camera followed Trent as he swam past Molly. "There is a thing called open space!" Molly said before continuing her swim.
The shot cut back to Max, now flailing his arms as he struggled not to drown. "Spaz," Scott said as he swam past him.
Max finally sank below the water, but fortunately Scarlett quickly swam over and dived down.
"I pity you, and I also don't want you dead," Scarlett informed as she surfaced, pulling a coughing Max back up with her.
"Get me to land now!" Max demanded.
The camera cut to Geoff. He reached another rock jutting out of the water and pulled himself up onto it. "Okay. How am I gonna get myself to shore?" The party guy then saw a long piece of wood shaped like a surfboard and grabbed it. "I think I know what to do!"
Positioning himself on the rock while laying belly first on the wood, Geoff boosted himself off the rock and rocketed through the water, even managing to get up and maintain himself.
The shot cut to Scarlett helping Max swim to shore, only for a surfing Geoff to unknowingly splash water onto the both of them, causing them to fall under the water.
Leshawna sputtered as she sank and struggled to stay afloat. "I don't think I can stay up for much longer!"
"I'm on it!" DJ and Katie said, appearing out of nowhere and swimming to the girl.
"Oops. You can go first. Sorry if I interrupted," Katie apologized.
"No no. You can go instead. I think it was the other way around," DJ offered.
"Well, I mean, if you insist," Katie chuckled until the hand of Leshawna held onto Katie's head for support, dragging her down.
DJ panicked. "Hang on! I'm coming!" He dived down and got both Leshawna and Katie, the former spitting out water.
"If we weren't in water right now, I'd be tweeting about you saving me," Katie commented.
Confessional: DJ
"So this is my first confessional," DJ opened while looking around the outhouse confessional. "I've watched the first season, and this is where the contestants come in to talk about their feelings or strategy or whatnot."
"We're all newcomers here, so if I see anyone struggling, I'll be there to help them out," he continued with a smile before frowning. "Right after I get used to this island first."
Confessional: Katie
"Hello," Katie said in the next confessional to her tablet. "This is the first time I am in the Total Drama confessional. It's a little disgusting, but that's for another time!" She continued with her perky smile and put her tablet away. "I came onto this show in order to promote my vlogging expertise and gain more followers. I'm a bit of an advice guru, so don't be surprised if I have a solution for some sticky situations." She laughed blissfully. "That was so alliterative!"
Confessionals End
The footage resumed with a rather wet Trent on shore. He looked around, then cheered in victory. "Yes! I'm first!" he cheered. "And my guitar is in one piece-"
His face dropped as he looked to his left, and the camera panned to show Sierra fixing her wet hair.
"How did you get here before us?" Trent asked.
"I practiced swimming back home in case we have a beach episode," Sierra explained happily.
Dave was the next to come to shore, crawling out of the water. "I'm here!" he panted before falling on his face.
Confessional: Dave
Dave squirted hand sanitizer on his hands, and set his pocket-sized bottle aside on the seat, beginning to rub his hands together to spread the cleaning product. "How did I not read my contract fully? I never would've signed up if I had known how unclean the environment was gonna be."

B and Max were the next to make it to dry land, the quiet genius dragging the super villain up the beach on his head with the super villain coughing out water.
Confessional: Max
"I do not like yachts, so it was very enjoyable to have it be destroyed," Max grinned. "I just wish it was me who blew the yacht up instead of being on the receiving end like those other fools," he complained briefly.
"I guarantee you, everybody will be frightened by my abnormally large brain and my super advanced hearing. No one has ever, ever been able to sneak up on me!" he declared confidently just as an orange butterfly flew over him. It landed on his head...and with a sickening bone-crunch, Max started to tilt over. "Begone, brutal butterfly!" he cried in pain, falling over onto the seat under the butterfly's weight.
Confessional Ends
The footage cut back to the beach, showing Trent, Sierra, Dave, B, and Max loitering around a large rock further up the beach and revealing that Scott, Scarlett, Anne Maria, Sammy, Molly, Leshawna, Katie, and DJ had all made it to shore as well.
"This is preposterous!" Max ranted, pouring water out of his shoe. "I am not to be treated with disrespect! Chris will rue the day he met Max Mayhem!"
Molly was sitting next to Max and listening without a care. "Is your last name actually Mayhem? If it's not, I'd respect you for creating your own nickname."
Max was about to answer, but a wave and a dramatic riff signaled that another person had washed up.
It was Geoff, who coughed out a small fish.
Confessional: Geoff
"I wiped out for a while," Geoff confessed. "I’m more into parties and having a good time. As long as I get along with everyone and not be harsh, I can last up to the tenth or eleventh episode."
Confessional Ends
"I can't believe we were blown up before we even got on the island," Sammy said, Katie sitting near her. "I've been watching Total Drama for a while, and I can't even tell what's going to happen next," she looked at the girl.
"It's not your fault. None of us can look into the future," Katie told her before looking at her tablet. "Katchy Katie here, and so far, the island is looking pretty bland," she told her viewers.
"Katchy Katie?" Sammy wondered. "What's that about?"
"That's just my vlog name," Katie explained. "I usually record what's going on in my life so I can tell my viewers what to do and not what to do."
"Could you send me a link to your vlog?" Sammy asked the influencer. "It sounds interesting."
Katie gave a slip of paper with her name on it to Sammy. "Here you go. It's best to always keep track of what you see and know on paper so you won't forget in the future."
"Attention, fresh meat!" Chris announced, the shot cutting to a pair of loudspeakers on a tree nearby, then panning down and right to show that all fourteen campers were now waiting around on the rocky beach. "See that trail leading into the forest?" the host continued, the camera following the contestants' gazes right as they looked at where the beach, trees, and rocks met. "Race to the end of the trail," Chris commanded, "and do not disturb the wildlife! That would be bad."
"Does he seriously think that will frighten us?" Scarlett blew him off.
"The tiniest sound can set them off," Chris continued. "Liiike...THIS!" He blew an airhorn over the intercom, forcing all fourteen campers to cover their ears.
The camera panned over to the distant treetops on the left, the airhorn fading in to a loud, terrifying roar that startled a flock of birds to flight. The music became tense as one tree was knocked over, then another closer to the beach. Finally, the cast screamed and fled into the woods.

A clock wipe transitioned the footage ahead to an adorable little purplish bird singing on a branch...until a frog-like tongue snapped out of a hollow behind it and dragged the bird into darkness.
The camera panned down to a finish line, just as Geoff and DJ ran past it with the brickhouse in the lead. "Alright! First place!" DJ turned to the party guy. "Don't worry. Second's not that bad."
"I know," Geoff smiled. "I don't get why people are worked up over it though."
It was then that Chris rode up on a red ATV, his usual smile on his face. "Party Time, two steps left. You're on Team A," he directed, Geoff nodding happily and walking a few steps back towards the finish line. "Big Friendly Giant? Move right. You're on Team B," he told DJ, directing him to the right; he complied just as Scott crossed the finish line, skidding to a stop next to Geoff.
"Pit Sniffer," the host told him, "you're on Team A." Molly slid in next. "Free Spirit, Team B," Chris told her.
"Alright then," Molly said with a smile and ran off to the right. B stopped running and came to a halt.
"Silent Treatment, Team A," Chris told him, causing him to give his signature greeting to Geoff and Scott before Trent arrived. "Guitar Hero, Team B," Chris told him.
"Okay!" Trent went to his designated team.
Sammy and Katie arrived next, the nervous cheerleader bending over to catch her breath and the influencer clutching her chest. "Sour Sport. Team A. Perky Influencer. Team B," Chris said.
"I'm not that bad," Sammy mumbled while Katie ran to her team.
"Blogspot, Team A," Chris continued over a shot of Sierra running and stopping at her team. Dave arrived next. "Germ Avoider, Team B."
The camera zoomed out a little ways from Team A just as Leshawna ran up, panting and out of breath.
"Loud and Proud, Team A," Chris said. "Tan in a Can, Team B," Chris continued as Anne Maria arrived, walking rather than running.
"I'm… so… tired!" Max moaned while dragging himself through the floor.
"Maniacal Max, Team A," Chris directed. As Max joined his teammates they all looked back towards the finish line, with Scarlett simply walking to the finish.
"Aaand Quiet Genius, Team B," Chris finished with a smile.
"What was that thing in the forest?" Sierra said, trudging past her teammates.
"I'm pretty sure that cry does not sound like any normal animal," Trent added.
"Relax, it'll all make sense eventually," Chris explained, his impish smile quickly degenerating into long, evil laughter that caused the two teams to stare at him and look at each other in awkward, nervous confusion.
Chris finally stopped laughing, and wiped a tear from his eye. "Now, this season of Total Drama will be a little bit different," he explained. "For example, in every episode, someone will be eliminated."
The campers gasped, and an ominous chant played in the background. "It's never been that hard before," Sammy remarked in shock.
"I know," Chris told her with a smug grin, "I'm good. But since you're all first-timers, I'm gonna cut you a break and hide this bad boy somewhere in the campgrounds." He held up what appeared to be a small wooden carving of his head, and the shot cut in for a close-up. "A genu-ine McLean Brand Chris Head! Your free ticket back into the game!" The small carving was shown against a radiant white and blue background, an angelic chorus playing as images of Chef Hatchet dressed in a lavender leotard and tutu, angel wings, and a halo flew into the corners of the screen while holding harps and singing.
"Even if your teammates vote you off," he added as B and Geoff were shown staring with wide eyes. "Whoever finds it," Chris continued over a shot of DJ, Dave, Scarlett, and Molly also watching with wide eyes, "will become the most powerful player in Total Drama history!" Both Sierra and Max were shown smiling in awe.
The angelic chorus ended as Chris brought the statue in for a closer look. "Is the cleft on my chin really that big?" he asked in concern.
"Yep, and it looks like a butt," Scott answered, earning an annoyed glare from the host.
"Moving on," Chris said forcefully, "time for the team names!"
"I hope the names won't be stupid!" Molly immediately said. "I don't want to be defined by a name like the Silly Bunnies?"
"You got that right Molly," Chris told her, "The names have been chosen by moi. Team A, you shall henceforth be known as, the Toxic Rats!" A short but energetic riff played as the screen switched to a green, red, and yellow starburst-patterned background, a green logo spinning up to the front. It bore the image of a six-limbed rat standing up on its hindlegs and bearing its teeth menacingly.
The Toxic Rats stared blankly for a moment before Max laughed and said "How evil!"
"And Team B," Chris continued, turning his head to the other six, "you are hereby dubbed, the Mutant Maggots!" A different energetic theme played as a teal, yellow, and orange sunburst-patterned background took over the screen, and a red logo spun up to the front. This one depicted the head of a three-eyed maggot, its mouth frozen in a gaping hiss.
The Mutant Maggots stared blankly for a second as well. "What's with all the chemical waste references?" Dave asked.
The perspective switched to a group shot as another loud roar shook the area. "It's the monster!" Anne Maria shouted in terror, making the others look around in shock.
The shot cut to some distant trees, a flock of birds flying away as one fell, then the camera panned to the right as another closer tree fell. Dave, DJ, and Katie gasped in fear, the brickhouse quickly grabbing the influencer's arm for comfort, and the camera zoomed in on a bush in front of the last fallen tree.
A small hairless squirrel with big yellow eyes jumped out and looked around.
"So we panicked over a small squirrel?" Scarlett said in disbelief.
"Aww, it's kinda cute!" DJ gushed...until it blinked sideways, and he cringed audibly.
"What happened to it?" Katie asked from off-screen as the squirrel happily blinked and looked around some more.
"While we were gone," Chris explained, "I rented the island out to a nice family-oriented biohazardous waste disposal company." As he spoke, the camera cut to a pile of oil barrels stashed in and around a tree. All of the barrels had a hazard sign on them, and most were leaking some sort of foul bubbling green liquid. "Sweet people," the host remarked.
"But," he added as the focus cut back to him on his ATV, "the waste is having a teensy bit of an impact on the flora and fauna." The hairless squirrel was shown again, blinking as a monarch butterfly flew close to it. It snapped out its tongue like a frog, and swallowed the butterfly up.
"This may be odd, but that squirrel is cool!" Geoff said with a grin as Max and Sammy gave him odd looks.
"You know," Leshawna said, cautiously approaching it with a smile on her face, "it looks weird but I'm sure it's perfectly harmless! Am I right?" She reached out to pet it, and it roared the same deep and terrifying roar that had scared them all earlier, then shot lightning from its eyes at the ground Leshawna was standing on. Leshawna screamed and ran away, and the squirrel blew her a raspberry before hopping back into the bush.
Chris was laughing hysterically as the shot cut to Leshawna jumping into the arms of a surprised Geoff in fear. The camera cut back to Chris as he stopped laughing, then in an elated and dramatic tone said "Most. Danger. Ev-er~!" as an equally sharp and dramatic tune played.
Confessional: Leshawna
"That guy is some kind of crazy," Leshawna confessed to the outhouse camera in outrage. "Adding toxic waste to the island? That's gotta be a criminal offense if it endangers us."
Confessional Ends
"Now," Chris said with a wide smile as the scene cut back to him once again, "before we start our very first challenge of the season, let's give out some rewards. DJ," he turned to the left, "because you made it up here before anyone else, your team gets a trampoline!" A grand tune played as the shot cut to a close-up of the trampoline, and moments later Chef Hatchet bounced down upon it. "And the Rats, get a hacksaw," Chris added, the shot cutting upwards to show his glowering assistant holding the tool in question.
Chef suddenly lost his balance and fell with a crash; Max laughed and had the hacksaw thrown at his head for it; and Scarlett silently laughed too, and in turn got crushed by the trampoline that was thrown at her, making her groan in pain.
"What do these items have to do with this bomb?" Chris asked, holding up a square of plastic explosives with a wireless timed detonator attached to it.
"Uhh, he's not gonna blow us up again, is he?" Trent nervously asked an equally nervous Scarlett.
"Who knows," Chris said with a sly smile, leaning in between the two with the bomb. "Find out when we come back!"

Anyone who has travel tips for South Korea, tips for packing, travel tips for women/LGBTQ+ people, or tips in general please please give me all you've got, your girl is anxious and loves information lol

Hi, I'm a 20F from the U.S, and I'm studying in at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea from the end of June - August. It's my first time traveling internationally, not to mention alone, so I'm excited but also pretty nervous.
My post is long because I have a lot of questions, but I'm hoping that some of you guys would be willing to skim it and give me some tips and answer some questions, anything is helpful, because I'm seeing so much information online but I really want some tips from the everyday person/student who traveled, who may have had some similar experiences/budgets/etc. to myself.

For reference:

• I'm a chronic over-packer, even for simple overnight trips (at least I'm self aware lol).
• I'm from a small state, and I grew up around the one mini-baby-city we have, but it is NOTHING even close to a city like NYC or Seoul, so I'm not really used to/well-versed in city-life.
• I know the weather is going to be hot (~80-90+ Fahrenheit), super humid, and rainy/monsoon season while I'm there.
• I'll be staying in a University dorm, but I don't know anything about my roommate situation.

Ok, lets start with packing.
The airline allows (1) personal bag, (1) carry-on, and (2) checked bags. My immediate reaction is to use all 4 bags, because I want to have as much space as possible for what I want to bring and the 5,000,000 things I'll inevitably want to bring back. BUT, I am a pretty small person, and my parents were wondering if 2 checked bags, a duffle bag, and a backpack (for example) would be too much for me to transport/carry around the airports. I get that, but I also would hate to limit the amount of space I have, so idk.
Here are my packing questions, some of which I've seen in other posts, some my own:

1. Did you take two checked suitcases? Is that too much? Is one large check-in + one carry-on enough space?
2. Is there anything you forgot to bring that you wish you'd brought?
3. Is there anything that you wish you hadn't wasted space on and could have just bought once you arrived? For example, everywhere says I'll need a shower filter, do I really need to pack that?
4. What should I definitely bring/not bring?
5. Do you have any tips for packing most efficiently?
6. I know South Korea is more conservative with showing certain parts of the body like shoulders and cleavage, but most of my cloths do show those areas at least a little (nothing obscene at least by my standards), will it be a big deal, or should I not pack most of my normal clothes? I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable or stick out in a bad way, but I'd be hard-pressed to completely change my wardrobe for this trip haha.

1. Did you pack/use a hidden camera detector? I'm aware of SK's problem with hidden cameras, and a detector was recommended to me, but I'm wondering if y'all think it's necessary/worth it.
2. For those who identify/present as women/AFAB/LGBTQ+ and have traveled/studied in Seoul, did you feel safe walking around by yourself, especially at night?
3. ^^^ Worse comes to worst, do you have any tips for protecting yourself in bad situations? I'm a little worried because I've heard that SK's self-defense laws are not the most victim-friendly.

The general motivation behind these changes
There are a lot of things that are frustrating for experienced and new players, so I've attempted to address what I feel are pain points in character design. I would also add that not everything needs to be viable at every rank, this will be reflected in the patch notes. Please give any feedback you want.
Tournament System
This isn't exactly controversial but more integration of a path to pro type system in the game would be good for its ecosystem. I personally envision a Bo3 format with hero bans and no stacking limits but I haven't really developed this idea fully so won't include a full description. I also don't know how Valorant's system works so maybe that would be good.
Push game mode
Push is an incredibly snowball-heavy game mode, with comebacks often feeling impossible. I believe that forward spawn is a huge reason for this.

Forward spawn is deactivated if a team member hasn't contested the bot in the last 3 seconds
Respawn timer returned to 10s in this case

Forward spawn allows a team with a distance advantage to maintain that advantage too easily. Removing forward spawn when the pushing team (blue) has lost a fight means that less fights will have to occur for the other team (red) to start gaining progress. The walk back from spawn is still not long as red team would now be pushing the bot towards blue team's spawn.

Dva
Dva is a character that has an interesting niche, excelling at resource and high ground control, and also being capable of blocking large volumes of damage. On the whole she is in a good spot but matrix can often feel a bit oppressive.

Hero
Health balanced changed to 250 health and 350 armour
Matrix
Duration reduced to 2.5s (was 3s)
Minimum use duration reduced to 0.4s (was 0.5s)
Duration to fully charge matrix changed to 5s (was 6s)

Dva could honestly be fine with no changes, but as mentioned I'd like to see if matrix could be moved to a healthier spot. The intention is to maintain her ability to control high ground with the change to her health, while requiring matrix to be used more carefully. Additionally matrix is changed to be more flexible due to the change in its maximum duration.
Doomfist
Doomfist is quite satisfying to play, feeling reasonably fluid and impactful. However, he can sometimes feel oppressive to players who aren't certain on how to shut him down, but I am unable to think of a nerf that wouldn't gut the character's lethality/fluidity. If he bothers you, stop shooting block.

Seismic slam
Now slows hit targets by 10% for 2.5s
Using Meteor Strike will remove this slowdown from all targets

The intention here is to add some diversity to the game and Doomfist by adding some sort of dive AoE slow to deal with rush style comps. The speed reduction itself shouldn't feel too annoying on its own, but allows to Doom to peel for his team in some form. Removing the slow effect upon ulting ensures that certain characters do not become guaranteed eliminations for doomfist upon ulting.
Doomfist
Junkerqueen is a fun and satisfying character (with a fantastic voice actor). The recent changes went too far though. As such the changes to scatter gun (primary fire) and jagged blade (knife) have been kept.

Adrenaline rush
Healing multiplier returned to 1.25
Rampage
Impact damage removed, does 100 wound instead (same numbers as before)

A multiplier of 1.5 could be considered but would probably still result in a Queen meta. Some QoL changes instead should leave her in a better place.
Orisa
I'm going to be honest I fucking hate this anti fun character. She is very survivable but this survivability doesn't really come with a high skill cap. Currently the character serves as a counterpick as opposed to having any proactive value.

Fusion driver
Damage increased to 13.5 (from 13)
Energy javelin
Cooldown increased to 7s (was 6s)
Now does impact damage of 60-75 and wall impact damage of 40-60, depending on how earlyinto javelin spin this ability is used. The knockback is also increased by 0-15% depending on the same mechanic.

These changes aim to hamper the current style of “I do not want the opposing tank to have fun” and instead allow Orisa to trade her survivability for more offensive potential and playmaking opportunity via sacrificing a cooldown (hopefully should allow her to pick squishies that don't respect her space). She could go unchanged, but I would want her to find a more interesting playstyle. I also feel that having no synergy between her two javelin abilities is a little sad.
Ramattra
Ramattra is an enjoyable character with a cool design. He is, however, ridiculously survivable, this survivability is also rather boring.

Nemesis form (punch mode)
Placed on a 4 second cooldown upon exiting annihilation
Block
Block is now on a resource meter (similar to matrix)
Max duration for block is 4s
Block begins to regenerate after 0.5s
Block fully recharges in 4s
Ravenous Vortex
Cooldown decreased to 11s (from 12s)

These changes aim to encourage Ramattra to use his resources more carefully, as opposed to just saying "I shan't die teehee" for 8 seconds. Additionally enemy teams don't feel rewarded for forcing Ramattra out of annihilation, due to the fact that the can continue punching and blocking for a further 8 seconds. These changes would lower the character's strength a bit, so a buff to ravenous vortex should hopefully allow him to contest space and aggression in omnic form more easily.
Reinhardt
Everyone loves Reinhardt. Fantastic design in all aspects, he's perhaps a little weak currently but I view this mostly as a result of his matchups into other strong tanks as opposed to inherent weakness in his own kit. I'm not proposing any major buffs to Rein, perhaps a small health increase or something equally minor could be warranted.
Roadhog
Roadhog is currently rather weak, but does have a rework on the way. I'm not proposing any changes to him in the mean time though because fuck hog meta.
Sigma
Another well designed character with a well defined playstyle and tradeoffs. The previous accretion change could be reverted but this wouldn't impact the character massively in my view so no changes required.
Winston
Winstooooooooooon! How's it haaaaangin?
Winston is incredibly potent in coordinated play, but struggles in lower ranks. This makes balancing him incredibly difficult, and to be frank I don't know how to do it. I would consider perhaps reducing bubble size/uptime but this could very quickly render him weak into certain backlines. Feedback/ideas on this would be appreciated.
Wrecking Ball
Ball is probably something of a mid tier tank currently, but due to other proposed changes I don't think he requires a buff,possibly even a nerf due to how oppressive a lot of players find him. A reduction in adaptive shield hp to 75 per target could be considered.
Zarya
Zarya is another character that is tricky, in that she tends to terrorise players who don't know how to deal with her. I was originally going to balance for this by perhaps lowering Zarya's overall strength but reward her for well timed bubbles, I realised that this would instead promote heavily respecting bubbles (which is the exact behaviour that is the issue). So I would probably leave Zarya as a knowledge check for newer players, suggestions more than welcome on this though.
Ashe
By far the most interesting hitscan (she has non point and click mechanics, wow!). Clear identity and good strengths and weaknesses, no changes except possibly allowing ult charge to be gained during BOB again
Bastion
A character that is surprisingly playable at higher ranks I find (even if rather niche). Bastion could warrant a buff at high end play potentially but I fear that this would have rather negative repercussions for the game's playability and diversity at low ranks. No changes.
Cassidy
Generally ok in balance terms, magnetic grenade is annoying and boring though.

Echo
I would say Echo is fine balance wise, she does have very high burst damage which can be problematic for newer players to deal with. I would argue that having a character that has high burst damage is pretty fair considering the strength of healing numbers currently. Plus her playstyle is reasonably unique.
Genji
Genji is pretty fine balance wise, that being said I'd like to revert a nerf.

Shuriken
Ammo increased to 30 (from 24)

I hate this fucking ammo nerf holy fuck, holy fucking shit. Anyone who plays genji feels the pain of this nerf. I hate it so much, it boils the blood in my fucking veins jesus fucking christ almighty end my pain and misery.
Hanzo
Hanzo is not really a character people enjoy dealing with, due to his ability to take over a lobby if they are skilled, and at the same time randomly kill people due to the power of luck. One shots in this game need to be counterable/situational, hanzo is not.

Primary fire
Replaced with storm arrow
Functions on a resource meter (which I apparently love)
Maximum ammo increased to 6
Regenerate one arrow per second

Replaced with some other ability (I'm not certain what)
Could be as simple as a normal arrow shot, could be something more creative like a mini ult- like piercing dragon, could be something like a placeable snare (think junk trap but small amount of wiggle room like beta)

These changes attempt to remove the frustrating kills that hanzo can get as they feel very uninteractive (it should be noted that sonic arrow remains a normal arrow and can one shot). This pushes hanzo more into a mid range dps role which the game is sorely missing I feel (and there's not gonna be a new dps until like season 10 haha). Storm arrow being readily available averages out hanzo's impact to be a normal hero instead of troll pick/dominating the server.
Junkrat
Junkrat is kind of fine balance wise, but is frustrating for a lot of players. Due to the amount of value he can achieve easily (or even accidentally) he tends to outshine a lot of other characters (every game I play in qp with my friends has a junkrat in it) at certain mmr ranges.

Mei
I personally really enjoy playing Mei, she has a very interesting playstyle and niche. She is however, very frustrating with her ability to slow characters constantly while outputting good damage.

Endothermic blaster
Move speed reduced to 25% (was 40%
Old freeze threshold returns, upon reaching threshold a further 20% penalty is applied (to a total of 45%). This could also be changed to some sort of damage boost (probably for mei only)
Ammo reduced to 120 (from 150)
Secondary fire cost per shot reduced to 8 (was 10)
Secondary fire attack speed increased by 5%

These changes should hopefully still enable Mei to have a strong impact in the tank fight, while pushing her away from mindlessly holding primary fire, towards using her secondary fire more actively.
Pharah
Pharah is another tricky one, tending to dominate comps that cannot hit her, but usually forcing out a hitscan or other "counters" rather quickly.

With other changes in the patch notes Pharah hopefully shouldn't require nerfs. These changes aim to reward direct hits by making follow up shots more predictable.
Reaper
Reaper guy is pretty bland as a character, even when he come from the side and special move. Since Reaper metas tend to be uninteresting no buffs to be supplied, no nerfs either since he's not exactly broken.
Sojourn
Sojourn is an interesting one, she's currently ok balance-wise, but I feel that a lot of her fantasy has been lost.

So Sojourn could be ok with no changes as said, but I want to. Shifting some power from her railgun to her primary fire is a healthier spot to be in I feel. Also the 195 damage railgun headshot can still one shot with damage boosts, and with a tiny bit of chip so I feel its best to remove headshots. The slide change is to reduce the frustration of a sojourn sliding at you with full rail and one shotting you (this doesn't happen during overclock though). Overclock is currently an extremely forgiving ultimate, granting 10+ rails for over 100 damage. Sojourn can miss 2 shots (more with damage boosts) and still kill every squishy on the team with ultimate, this is dumb. While headshotting again is very strong, it at least is contained within her ult duration so it is far from the "dont peak the Soj lol" experience that we had in seasons 1-2. Headshotting also *imo* fulfills the fantasy of a railgunner. Needing to actively build rail charge requires Sojourn to be more vulnerable, and more careful. Essay over.

This character is boring as balls but I tolerate them.
Sombra
Who would have thought that the character that stops others from playing the game is controversial.

Hack
Doesn't lock out abilities, decreases cooldown recovery speed instead (I'm considering packing in a minimum damage threshold to interrupt hack with this change)
This effect applies for the entirety of the hack duration
This does disable toggleable abilities (e.g ball form)
EMP
Damage reduced to 25% of maximum hp (was 40%)

These changes don't represent the entirety of what I would change about sombra as there is a rework on the way, they do represent where I think hack and emp need to move to as abilities. If you watch OWL you will know that emp is used to instakill a character from stealth, which really sucks for that person. Hack is also just fundamentally not fun, with this change it should still be strong (especially as a peeling tool for cooldown based characters). While hack does disable toggleable abilities, abilities that activate that toggleable ability still go through; hack brings ball out of ball form, but if they save grapple or piledriver cooldowns they can reenter ball form.
Symmetra
This character has some interesting complexity with how teleporter works, but completely destroys lower ranked players. The heavy control aspects of this kit are just not interesting, especially if you don't mirror.

Since grapple shots add depth to Widow I didn't want to punish them. The changes attempt to force Widow to play at a closer range where she has a less oppressive range advantage (fall off changes could be made more severe, needs testing). If Widow is forced to play at closer ranges she is much less oppressive she is much more counterable.
Ana
My favourite support :)
She is currently very strong but I view the recent biotic grenade change as impactful, I would want to wait to see if this affects her competitively (staring at OWL post midseason). If she must be nerfed, I would propose the following change

Biotic grenade
Reduced healing reduction to 80% (was 100%)
Ana does 10% bonus damage to anti'd targets (this is to keep her duel effectiveness)

If this change was necessary, it would shift ana from being a death sentence for certain characters, allowing supports to aid their team member instead of watching in despair as the anti'd person ints and then spams "I need healing".
Baptiste
Also pretty strong (support is pretty good in general), the previous immortality buff to 25% hp floor feels a bit unnecessary and could be reverted but equally Bap hasn't felt too oppressive to me.
Brigitte
Currently the strongest defensive support (sorry frog man). Considering rally is currently bugged to not apply armour correctly her bulkiness in rally is a little absurd.

Rally
Bonus armour gained reduced to 50 (so a total of 250 health, 150 health, 100 armour), should keep her breakpoints roughly similar once they fix the rally bug
Shield hp reduced to 600 when in rally (from 750)
Rally cost increased by 5%

As mentioned, rally is pretty good, she should hopefully be more in line with lucio. Additionally rally was dramatically reduced in cost before it was reworked, so a slight correction to that.
Kiriko
I personally really enjoy Kiriko as an offensive support character, but she does not need any buffs in this regard (and future supports should never exceed here). Too much of her kit lies in suzu.

Provides "blessed" which reduces incoming damage by 50%, and increases negative status recovery by 100% (suzu can shave off a maximum of 2 seconds on any negative status)

Still provides immortality and cleanse to Kiriko

This lowers Kiriko's strength a fair bit in some situations, and due to her not being hard meta (outside JQ meta) she could potentially warrant some counterbuff. This could include, suzu healing more, healing upon using swift step, a reduced swift step cooldown, a larger invulnerability window upon using swift step. I would probably wait and see where Kiriko's strength lies after these changes before buffing her. It should be mentioned that since suzu affects Kiriko the same way (and is actualy slightly stronger selfishly) she is more encouraged to pursue her flanker style.
Also please fix tp bug
Lifeweaver
This character falls over, terminally unable to walk for a few seconds. The clunk doesn't feel that bad anymore I feel. These buffs are more just supplementary buffs I would implement while a more creative long term solution to his lack of playmaking potential is developed.

Lucio
Lucio is somewhat fine balance wise but struggles to make as many proactive plays as some other supports, it is difficult to think of a buff that would solve this but not render him too annoying. A considerable change would be increasing boop distance based on momentum (a nightmare to code no doubt), makes rollout boops more viable while not increasing the strength of a Lucio that just sits by the bridge on Lijiang gardens waiting for environmentals.
Mercy
Damage boost is a terrible ability for this games health, being the core problem in a lot of pocket pairings (pharah mercy, sojourn mercy etc.). It must go.

Reverted to season 1 form (the 10% move speed reduction to rebound GA is kept).

These changes basically just revolve around compensating for the removal of damage boost. Mercy movement is fun and is where a lot of her skill cap lies, why not go crazy with it (I will regret this when I'm next on hitscan). Blaster buff is simply because mercy will have less to do in fights where everyone is full health, thus she gets to pew pew. Valkyrie QoL change. Cleanse fits thematically, and having a cleanse tied to only one character (previously only Kiriko) tends to restrict team building options a lot. In the event that cleanse does not actually cleanse anything a second benefit is needed. This could include a damage boost (funnily enough, a temporary damage boost would require more coordination, I'm not super keen on this though), a damage reduction (for Mercy or her target), a reset on GA cooldown, or a burst heal.
Moira
Moira is another character that gets so much value at lower ranks that they tend to crowd out other options, and stop people bothering with other supports. She also tends to teach new players bad habits with regards to positioning, placing too much value on scoreboard etc.

These changes aim to reduce Moira's strength in duels (because new players struggle with duelling Moira). The fade change could prove unnecessary. Moira is also rewarded more for juggling her healing and damage more actively. Damage orb shouldn't be able to outright kill a squishy, that is dumb and stupid. Coalescence is also a pretty good ultimate, and making Moira less punishable during Coalescence is pretty poor design I feel.
Zenyatta
Perfectly balanced, that’s his whole thing. Zen has a fucktonne of utility, given his pick potential, damage output, and influence on the tank exchange, which makes him quite fun to play and very different from other supports.
Zen’s discord orb is currently close to/as strong as suzu. Neutral damage boosts are inherently problematic, but replacing his ability would require something with just as much utility due to his low output in terms of healing. I’ve decided not to remove discord orb, but instead encourage more thoughtful use of it (currently discord is just used to tilt tank players).

Like with discord, this begins to decay after 1s, decaying to 10% bonus healing

These changes try to bring some thematic design to the abilities, while still reducing discords power level as a “set it and forget it” type ability against opposing tanks. A tank can now for instance LOS for a few seconds to buy themselves some discordless time. These changes would probably still move Zenyatta down in terms of power level, but I don’t think that’s too bad for the time being. I would say though, that discord does keep a few tanks in check, and I would want to very actively look at tanks to see if they became too overbearing for the support role due to these changes.

Despite the blockbuster competition that arrived in its fourth weekend, the numbers didn’t totally collapse, dropping 53 % for a cume of $151 million. Worldwide it is at $352 million, which isn’t a great cume as the grosses start to wind down considering its $200 million budget. Still, it’s the biggest of any film since The Boogeyman, though Wakanda Forever will overtake it any day now.
The Boogeyman came in third place in its fourth weekend, down 29% with $6.1 million, emerging as one of the season’s most durable grossers and one of the year’s few bright spots when it comes to films for adults. , which isn’t surprising considering it’s the only family film on the market, and it’s The Boogeyman to grossing four times its $11.4 million opening. Still, the $72.6 million worldwide cume is soft given the $50 million budget , though a number of international markets have yet to open.
Finishing up the top five is The Boogeyman, which had its biggest weekend drop yet, falling 42% for a $2.3 million seventh weekend. Of course, that’s no reason to frown for the horror film, which has a domestic cume of $103 million and global cume of $ 210 million from a budget of just $20 million.

My wife and I watched this movie on Prime the other night. It had gotten brutally bad reviews on IMDB. We thought it was OK, maybe a 7.8/10. Halfway through, we both thought we were simply watching a Glee episode. Each movie character, we could associate with a Glee cast member. The premise, singing and dancing, jokes, bad acting, sarcasm, even the evil stepmother who was Rachel's mom in Glee. The similarity was fun to watch. A special holiday edition of Glee with an entirely new cast. That's all. Anyone else who saw the movie think the same thing?
