I don’t know about you, but in my experience just about every Mormon I know who watches movies is a die-hard Nolan fan; not just because of Batman, but because of his tendency to put out high-brow summer entertainment with a reliably Morm-friendly PG-13 rating. I distinctly remember the fast and testimony meeting the weekend that The Dark Knight released where a member of the bishopric shared the irrelevant detail that he was in fact at the theater to see Batman the day before.
Alas, Nolan trades his fun-for-the-whole-family schtick for the depraved, Outer Darkness-inspired depths of the R-rating.
Funny story: years ago I went with my parents to see the short lived, quickly forgotten PG-13 theatrical rerelease of The King’s Speech. It was the three of us and a few older couples in the theater that night. For those unaware, that film’s original rating was due to a single, pivotal scene in which Colin Firth’s character says “fuck” once and then screams the word several more times. In the new edited version, he says the first “fuck” (cause you can get away with one or two), but then, in a poorly dubbed voice-over, screams “shit” repeatedly instead. That word was clearly not coming out of his mouth.
I’ll never forget the multiple gasps of horror in the room after that first “fuck”, and then the sighs of relief after the subsequent “shits”. I’m really proud of that sentence.
Anyway, thank God, because we almost damned our souls for eternity that day.

I know an egfr below 90 doesn't necessarily mean kidney disease - that's not all. My kidney function just tested at 76.5 (says stage 2 kidney damage, but I know you have to correlate it) the thing is it's tested below 90 on several occasions for 2 years now, out of 20 urinalysis I've had in mychart over 7 years, only three have been normal. I have protein in my urine often, once it was 300 mg/dL. I have autoimmune disease (Sjogrens, RA). In March, I was in the hospital and my urinalysis showed granular casts and traces of blood. There was no mention of this to me. I have traces of blood often, not visible. Casts, and mucus, etc. Rarely ever bacteria and never really get UTIs that I know of. My previous primary doctor was worried about the protein in my urine and monitored it for awhile, it normalized.
I'm also on Diamox so I'm always in metabolic acidosis (that's what it does to you, I know it's supposed to) but my dose has been halved for months. You're supposed to get routine lab work on this med but I don't.
I'm having little bubbles in my urine, have been peeing a shitton for months, had a fever of unknown origin daily for 3+ months, and now I have a low grade fever almost daily that goes away and comes back for weeks, I'm not sure if it's related. I am thirsty a lot, and pee a lot even without water. I drink a lot of water and I'm not dehydrated.
I'm a little worried my autoimmune disease might be giving me tubular kidney damage and lab results aren't great. Why has nobody said anything to me? My doctor knows I've been having symptoms. I sent her a message asking if I should pay any mind to it, but I just feel embarrassed now like I will be dismissed. She's pretty good and I like her a lot, but she does brush things off sometimes, I think because I'm chronically ill (I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and several other issues).
What do I do about this?
Edit to add: When I was in the hospital and had casts, my blood pressure was very high, like 200 systolic. I have POTS and it's usually on the low end, never high. They were concerned at first/thought the monitor was broken but it normalized in a few days and then they kinda ignored it. I do have anxiety, but this is making me pretty nervous.
