Hello good peeps of Reddit!
I’m thinking of messing around with creating printable objects from scans of things I have around the house. Maybe toys or even to print replacements of broken plastic parts around the house.
I don’t expect much in terms of resolution and quality of results, just enough to get a good enough basic model to dump into Blender or whatever to clean up and post process.
I know there exists tools like the Revopoint or CR Scan Lizard etc, but since I’m just testing the waters, I don’t really want to buy a dedicated device just yet and want to use what I already have.
With that in mind, what iPhone apps should I be looking at? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I hope you are all doing well! I am trying to find a new laptop to replace my current top spec early 2015 13" MBP. I just want a decent trackpad(spoiled by Mac haptic trackpad) and keyboard to be honest. My soft limit is 1.5k, hard is 2k.
Context: My work load consists of compiling code/Verilog designs, rendering/3D Modeling such as Blender, and some video editing. Mostly CPU heavy tasks, and RAM too.

• Needs: At least 1 USB-A Port, at least 1 USB-C, full size or micro SD Card slot, option to add more RAM lateupgradable, decent keyboard, sizable trackpad that doesn't suck, okay battery life (4~5 hours), portable in size (I don't really mind weight at all, it's mostly form factor, particularly thickness)
• Nice to have: 2 USB-A ports, 2 USB-C, full size SD card slot, discreet GPU, matte display, easily repairable.

What I've looked at/considered:

• Framework: This is the laptop I am so far settling with, checks most if not all boxes, only thing is availability. It's near impossible to order a laptop right now with the specs that I'd like, and I planned to order what's available then buy the parts I want later once I can and sell the other ones, but the US keyboard is not even available which is pretty important and blocking my plans haha.
• Thinkpads: Good hardware and I/O, but usually a bit thicker than most, and the ones that aren't (X1 Carbon), are pretty pricey. I could get an older thinkpad, but that won't be much better than my current 2015 MBP I feel like.
• XPS Line: The lack of I/O and QC issue I've been hearing about is making me not consider it, but I love the build/look of it.
• StarBook: Looks solid, kinda pricey, and it's from a new/lesser know company. Semi-Repairable/Upgradable though. Long shipping times.
• System 76: I've looked at the Lemur Pro and Galago Pro, they seem okay overall, only thing is build, I don't really like the build or look of Galago Pro since I've heard it feels cheap. I like the Lemur Pro, but I'm not sure it will perform as well as the Galago Pro and how it will work with my workflow.
• Tuxedo: This is the brand I would have liked to get, but it's not in my country (US), so shipping is long, and it's pretty pricey. Specs seem very solid, and I do like the build.
• Slimbook: Laptops seem solid, good build + specs, price is not that bad, but like tuxedo, it's out of my country.

Sorry for such a long post! I didn't know if I should be verbose or not when asking for purchase advice, my first time posting here aha. Anyways, I am very open to laptops that originally ran windows, but their hardware supports Linux, since I would need something sometime before September. Thank you all!

I'm having a *lot* of probs trying to get a plain-vanilla .NET MAUI app to run, from Visual Studio Mac (VSM) on iOS (I can get Android and MacCatalyst apps to run fine, and apps created in Xcode run fine, too).
I've cleaned projects; created new ones; reinstalled VSM (although maybe I missed bits and pieces in the Library, I just deleted the apps and reinstalled the apps).
Neither Google nor ChatGPT have helped much, and I can't even post to Microsoft's Feedback page because it won't accept my credentials (yeah, I'd like to report a bug ... I can't report a bug 🙄).
On VSM 17.5.*, I'm getting this error:

On VSM Preview 17.6, I'm getting this error:
xcrun: error: unable to find utility "simctl", not a developer tool or in PATH

I've been trying to connect my XDJ-RX3 DJ controller to my MacBook Pro (Ventura 13.3.1) using a USB cable, but despite my best efforts and numerous troubleshooting steps, I can't seem to establish a connection.
Here's a rundown of what I've done so far:

1. Updated Laptop Driver: I made sure to update the driver for my MacBook Pro (2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9) running OS Ventura 13.3.1 to ensure compatibility with the XDJ-RX3.
2. Firmware Update: I also updated the firmware on my XDJ-RX3 to the latest version (XDJ-RX3_M_4.0.1), hoping it would resolve any potential compatibility issues.
3. Software Update: I updated Rekordbox to the latest release (version 6.7.1), thinking it might help establish a connection.
4. Driver Reinstallation: Following the instructions provided by Pioneer, I uninstalled the driver for the XDJ-RX3 and then reinstalled it, just in case there was a problem with the initial installation. Unfortunately, this didn't yield any positive results either.

Despite all these attempts, when I connect my XDJ-RX3 to the MacBook Pro using a USB cable, it simply doesn't get recognized. The USB drive functionality works perfectly fine.
I'm at a loss as to what else I could try, so I'm turning to the Reddit community for help. If any of you have encountered a similar issue or have suggestions on how to resolve it, I would greatly appreciate your insights.
Please let me know if you have any ideas or if there's something I might have overlooked in my troubleshooting process.

TL;DR: Having trouble connecting XDJ-RX3 to my MacBook Pro (Ventura 13.3.1) via USB despite updating laptop driver, firmware on XDJ-RX3 (XDJ-RX3_M_4.0.1), and software on rekordbox (version 6.7.1). Had iphone 11 since new. Im on spectrum (verizon) network. Phone has never had any other issues. LTE has never been a problem EXCEPT when i travel to the city of my alternate work location, zip code is 54017. I show 3 bars LTE but internet and texts dont work, this includes inside building or outside out n about. Ive tried hard resetting, flipping in n out of airplane mode. Maybe twice a day internet and text will work for minutes then back to nothing. Once i leave the city all is fine. The only thing i notice is 54017 is on the fringe of verizons 5g network, where i live and normally work verizon does not offer 5g yet. Iphone 11 is not 5g compatible so this shouldnt matter, right?

I quit jailbreaking when the great jailbreak drought of iOS 15 happened and went over to my Galaxy, occasionally messing with my iPhone 8 on iOS 14 which is showing age. I got my hands on an iPhone 11 Pro today on 15.1, and immediately found out about Xina15. Jailbroke it, and have been using it jailbroken for about 4 hours now with absolutely no issues. No random reboots as I’ve seen people get. However, I also discovered a new jailbreak has come out called Dopamine. As I understand, it’s based off of Fugu15 which was incomplete at the time of release. That being said, how do you guys feel about the two? Is Dopamine more stable or should I stick with Xina for now? Any pros or cons between the two? Help would be appreciated.

I've been reading through NoContract for awhile now looking for some guidance but, either: a) I'm not technologically adept enough to understand this stuff, or b) I'm just not finding what's relevant to my situation, because I'm still lost.
Hoping for some advice, here.
Currently have a T-Mobile Magenta contract for three lines at $150+ per month, located in the US.
My primary issue is that every single time any kind of customer service has been sought, even for the most inconsequential things, it has been atrocious, whether in-store or over the phone. We get talked over and run in circles and the buck gets passed always and I'm extremely tired of this. Whenever my mother has needed assistance they've ranged from excessively unhelpful to point-blank rude. I normally end up having to take care of everything for her and even when I've needed to ask them for anything, they're wildly incompetent and I usually end up googling whatever we need and doing it myself. This seems very strange and uncalled for to me.
Data is also frequently slow to the point that I can't even load a website or open a banking app if not on wifi, which also seems ridiculous, since there's about a 50/50 chance of this happening when using data.
I think I'm finally tired enough of T-Mobile, after two years, that I'd rather just transfer all three lines to a no contract plan, instead, since I seem to always have to figure everything out and do it myself anyway. We live in major cities and have more-or-less equal coverage from T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T alike. I was going to transfer to Mint Mobile because it's the service I hear the most about, but then read a bunch of negative user experiences, and now I'm here asking for suggestions as a result.
3 unlocked phones: Pixel 5, iPhone 13, iPhone SE (2nd gen), would be keeping/transferring all three numbers.
Would prefer unlimited talk, text, and data for all three lines. No need for hotspots, international coverage, eSIMs or anything like that.
Generally just looking for something reliable that will have good coverage and no bullshit, and would be thrilled if it could be achieved for less than what I'm paying now which is usually $151 and some change per month. If staying with my current plan is the best option, I guess I would begrudgingly accept my fate.

[01] When does the server reset?
For global, dailies reset at 19:00 UTC and weeklies reset on Sunday.
[02] Should I re-roll this account?
This will depend on your priorities with PvE, PvP, or both, but you can generally see the “ideal” units as Iori, Hibiki, and Tsubaki for most content, while Shun and Haruna are great for PvP.
[03] Who should I spend my elephs on? Who should I mystic unlock?
At the start, prioritize spending your blank elephs on getting Serina to 2-star for the increased healing stat, Tsubaki to 3-star for the extra tankiness when she is reloading. It is generally advised not to spend your elephs on increasing characters to 4-star and 5-star ratings, since there is only a stat increase and the amount of elephs needed is quite high.
[04] What do my support students’ stats do?
Aside from increasing the stats of their own skills, support students will provide additional stat boosts to your striker team. The specific increase(s) can be viewed by clicking on “Support” on the right side of the team formation screen.
[05] What should I buy in the shop?

• Credit Shop - Buy out the bottom row of materials, then the first two tiers of enhancement stones as needed. Feel free to buy the higher tiers of enhancement stones if you feel that you have an excess of credits, which is very common.
• Eligma - This will depend on you, can reference question [03].
• Total Assault (raid) - Prioritize Maki’s elephs (until you unlock her) and save the rest of your currency for future updates that will add more low-rarity students to the shop, meaning you can unlock mystic for them without spending your eligma. You can also purchase the skill discs/blu-rays depending on your needs.
• Tactical Challenge (PvP) - Buy out the energy drinks as needed (warning: they are instantly consumed, they won’t be moved to your inventory). Many suggest to save these for events in order to buy drinks, refresh the shop, and repeat.

[06] What does the “leader” position do?
This is purely cosmetic, as it changes which student’s chibi shows up on the map.
[07] What benefits are there to joining a club?

• 10 AP are given daily and deposited automatically on teacher's mailbox, upon checking in.
• A maximum of two assistant can be set for Total Assault and Joint Firing Drill respectively.

1. Students assigned to assist with TA cannot also be selected to assist with JFD.
2. 20 credits are rewarded every minute by setting assistants.
3. The specific unit that is borrowed can be only used once a day.
4. There's a fee of 40,000 credits, when borrowing a assistant student.
5. The donor receives 50,000 credits instead; even though the fee is 40,000 credits.
6. The fee can only be received 20 times a day.

• It can be unlocked after clearing Mission 3 Act 4

[08] How does the pity system work?
You need to pull, at a minimum, 200 times in order to get 200 recruitment points that are redeemed for the character you want. The recruitment point system does not carry over from banner to banner, it is only shared between banners that are concurrently running.
[09] Why can’t I find my friend’s club?
While the servers’ updates are separated from JP and global, the global servers are separated further into smaller divisions. You need to be on the same server as your friend, which you can check from the home screen: top-right menu button > account > version info. The server must be the same.
[10] When is X banner coming? Should I save for X student?
We never know for sure, due to the fact that global servers are on an accelerated schedule compared to JP. Please refer to this guide for some more info.
[11] Should I use Pyroxenes to refill my AP?
If you want to prioritize progression, the first three daily refills are decently valuable, this is because the Pyroxene cost of refilling will increase for every three refills. If you are focused on character collection or future banners, you should be saving your Pyroxenes.
[12] Why can’t I buy X student’s eleph in the shop?
You can only buy elephs of students you own.
[13] What should I craft?
At the start, prioritize crafting cafe furniture until your comfort is maxed out, then students’ gifts, then whichever upgrade materials you need. The crafting system is the only way to get furniture and gifts at the moment.
[14] What is the “Anniversary” in account settings?
This is your birthday, used for characters to wish you happy birthday.
[15] When will the beginner guide missions for Nonomi end?
This is a permanent addition, so feel free to take your time with the tasks.
[16] What is the best place to farm EXP?
You can run any map to farm EXP, as the EXP gain is equal to the amount of AP spent (i.e. 10 AP spent = 10 EXP gained). You should be looking at the stages that drop the equipment upgrade materials that you need.
[17] What is the “Secret Tech Sheet” in the Total Assault shop?
This is used to upgrade a student’s (non-EX) skill to level 10.
[18] Is it worth doing a raid if I can’t pass X difficulty level?
It is always more efficient to clear the highest difficulty you can finish instead of failing/forfeiting a higher difficulty.
[19] Can I claim the Limited Students through exchanging Expert Permits? How often does the Expert Permit shop resets?
You cannot get the limited students via this method. You will still need to pull for them. There's no specific mentioned but it's expected to be monthly.

I'm going back to school and need a new laptop. While budget is very important to me, my laptop is the most important tool in my studies, therefore willing to go all out. Also, I take good care of my tech and typically make it last 6+ years.

I am currently thinking of buying the MBP 14" 12CPU/19GPU/16GM RAM or MBP 14' 12CPU/30GPU/32GB RAM. I am thinking of the MAX simply because I could see myself getting into the Youtube Vlogs world. Also, I have so many windows and applications open on my laptop that I could probably use the extra RAM.

I know the M2 Pro 14" models came out earlier this year and with school starting this fall I can't wait until next January for the next model. But if I am not mistaken, I believe the next-generation MBA and 13" MBP get released this summer. So I am here to ask if I should wait until July to see what Apple drops or if my needs most likely require me to stick to the Pro line?

Just got my new iPhone 14 Pro Max (512GB) and noticed the pictures are taken in 12MP. I thought the PM had a 48MP camera(s). Is there a hidden setting I need to tweak?

Just got a return request for an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I'm a new seller and this is my first return request. I followed the instructions and sent the buyer a return shipping label I payed for. Then I refunded the buyer. Is this what I should do? I did not mean to process the refund right away but was just following instructions. Again I'm still new at this. It doesn't show me the tracking info of the return shipping label purchased though ebay, how can I access this?
