I dont know if i was a good husband, but I tried. My (36m) soon-to-be-exwife (35f) and I have/had been together for 15 years. we dated for 5, were married for 10. Communication for us wass alwas a bit rocky, I have ADHD and communication is a weak point of mine that i've always been working on since even before we were married. I made it a point to never lose my cool, or let me anger get the better of me in our relationship, though when we did have argeuements, she would always start to insult me personally to try and provoke a response. example would be: "well who else would want someone as heavy as you?" or "you should feel insecure about your pen-15." or one time "i fucked my best friend and he was so much better than you" immediately followed by 'i did mean it, i was only trying to hurt your feelings." (As an aside, I have confirmed with that friend that she in-fact did not sleep with him and he said he thought she was a better person than that). That was the rough stuff, but we had plenty of good times too, and I can say I loved her with all my heart. We have a beautiful little girl together, and she is the apple of my eye.
I supported my wife when her mom passed away, I was there to support her when a friend SA'd her. Things felt good at first until she started going to the clubs. She met this guy, 10 years older than us, and same first name as me. He was also from back east, but lived in the city now too, and worked in her field albiet for a different place. They hit it off right away and I started feeling uncomfortable. She would stop cuddling me to answer txts from him. when she would answer txts from him, she would hold her phone at this awkward 90 degree angle away from me. She would leave me daughter and I to have dinner alone with him. Then after about 2 months she would dissapear for the entire night to be "partying with friends" and wouldnt come home until 4 or 5 in the morning.
I may struggle with communication, but I notice patterns. I started having anxiety attacks at night while she was out. She started doing drugs (not shit from a dispensary, just w/e gummy or shroom she was handed at the club). she would say she was going to spend the night at a mutual friends house cause she lived over 40 min away, while i wasnt always sure, i wanted to trust her cause she was my wife. One weekend, she didnt tell me she was staying at anyones house, she didnt come home, and it was so unlike her to not let me know what her plans were that i started to panic. I called her frantically at 6am trying to find out where she was, called some of her friends, said they last saw her at the club. she called me back at 630 to tell me she was at Ns house (i already asked N if she knew where wife was), and that they just fell asleep cause they were really drunk. begins telling friends and family "oh man last weekend I fucked up big time." about how she fell asleep at a friends house w/o updating me about her plans. (I promise I'm not controlling, I just like to stay informed of the plan. does that make me sound more controlling?) next weekend, she leaves work on friday to go party, doesn't come home until 5 am Monday morning. No calls, no idea where she is. she comes home and I'm awake and in a full blown anxiety attack. She tells me "you have a lot of nervous energy, I feel like the best way for you to get it out is to hit me." Im shocked, why would she say that, I tell er as much, im not going to hit her, I love her I can't even to begin to comprehend the idea of hurting her. I tell her the next day, I'm not comfortable with her relationship with her guy friend. She tells me they had dinner one night to discuss their mutual attraction towards eachother and how they were going to deal with it, but that she wasnt going to stop being friends with him, he made her feel safe at the club. I pointed out how she made me set boundaries with my trans friends and she said "i was terrible for that but ive grown to realize how wrong of me that was. You need to grow too." I start therapy.
Come valentine's day, I order about $300 of flowers to be delivered to herr office. Our 10 year anniversary is around the corner and I have an artist friend painting a portrait of us from our wedding day. The week before our 10 year she tells me she doesnt want to be married any more. I ask her if she;s in a relationship with Guy. She says "I dont want to tell you because I dont know how you will react." I say, if the answer is "no: then I wont have anythig to react to, and she stays quiet. I get mad, I yell at her for about 20-30 min, she's in tears because she's never seen me this angry before, despite that fact i felt like I held a lot of my anger back. I never insulted her, just a lot of "how could you do this to me?" and "you moved me across the country just to dump me."
She moved out of our apartment a week later. She comes home on my birthday to have a "work from home day" but ignores me the entire day. her birthday comes around and asks me if I can make something special for dinner and out of habit like an idiot I agree. I made her special dinner and cake my daughter and I sing her happy b-day and she leave to go party with Guy.
She only sees my daughter usually once a week, for about 2-3.5 hours a week, and asks me to leave the home while she;s visiting. My daughter refers to mommy a "gone."
Ex has been staying with friends and co-workers, telling them I'm too scary to be around, and that I'm mean and hurtful.
If you've made it this far, guys, i feel broken. Holy shit I 've never felt this hurt before in my life. I know I can't but I really want to scoop my child up and take her back across the country. Now my Ex is saying she wants to spend more time with our daughter but doesnt know how to ask me. You've known me for over 16 years, and your job has a focus on conflict resolution, either you never paid attention to me or you suck at your job if you cant figure it out.
I have so much hate an animosity towards this woman that I loved, and feeling this way hurts me to my core. I have no outlet or support system over here, almost all of my friends and family are back east. Im looking for work now, but its starting over again at ground level. I have no connections our here or network. I keep asking myself what did I do to drive her away? Was I not fun enough? We cant both go to the club, someone has to stay with our 7 y/o. The club was never my scene anyway. I feel terrible cause I feel the love I had for this woman turning to hate and vitriol and that's not the kind of person I am, its not who i want to be. We moved to the city in June last year, and I believe the affair started in Sept. Therapist thinks I have "PTSD from years of narcistic abuse." How could she throw away 15 years together in 2-3 months? What am I doing wrong with my toddlers… We have a 2 yo and a 3 yo. Usually my youngest sleeps very good but for the past weeks it’s hell, he wakes up 2-3-4-5 times a night and we ended up bringing him in our bed, since we are exhausted. And our 3 yo as been co-sleeping with us forever because he just doesn’t sleep at night… I’m a SAHM and my husbands works crazy hours, so can’t rely on him during the week. I’m so damn exhausted at this point of not sleeping, it impacts my life. I’m tired, moody, sleepy, irritated, can’t lose weight - actually just run on sugar and coffee to survive. We haven’t slept good in 3 years now. We moved to an other country for work, so we have no help at all.
Tonight, I decided, enough, they sleep in their beds all night and I’ll stay up and get up when they need me. Results so far, it took 1 h 35 min to put them to bed, and it’s now 3 h 40 am and I slept less than 2 h and they were not consecutive. They still nap, but not everyday. In this event, you are to select a difficulty, and the game will randomly generate a medley consisting of three songs. Songs are selected based on which Groove type it is. All-Type songs will also be selected in any of the Groove types. Only the idols with the same type as the chosen Groove get the 30% same-type Appeal bonus even on All-Type songs.
Your unit's Visual appeal is increased by 150%, thus making it easier to achieve higher score if your unit is Visual-based. This is vital to making into the high-score ranking.
You can change your Groove type and songs if you don't like the songs the game selected. It costs 30,000 money to change it. Press the GROOVEを変更 button to do so. This will select a Groove of a different type from your original selection. You can change Groove again for the second and final time for 50,000 money.
You can also use autoplay tickets to play entire grooves. The amount of tickets you can use at once follows the same formula as autoplaying any other live: max_tickets = floor(2*max_stamina/cost_of_single_live). It works as expected (ie. you will still receive a 0.7x reduction in rewards but there is no penalty to your score), however you do have the option to turn it off during the encore song.
During the Groove, hitting notes will affect the Applause Level in the following way:
The higher score for a note, the higher Applause level you receive. Thus, higher combo yields higher Applause level. Bad and Miss will both result in -0.1 Applause level.

I (31 f) and my ex fiance (31 m) co-habitate a house we bought in 2021. We were together for almost 6 years. His name is on the mortgage and the deed. The initial down payment and paying for closing costs is akin to 12k. Since I was the realtor, I earned a 6k commission I put right back into the house in the form of repairs (minus a $500 tv). After he bought the house, I had some medical issues that made me disabled.
Fast forward to April of 2022. He breaks things off with me. He does not want me to move out. He told me to just keep taking care of the house (I was doing 100% of the chores, child care and mental load) and cooking. He is working and I am not.
Fast fwd again to December of that same year til March of 2023. I am working full time, covering half of the bills and attending school. Nothing in the house is getting done. None of the chores. The kid is being sat in front of the tv every waking moment and is living off of cereal and toast unless I use my 30 minute break from my wfh job to make dinner. I am working 45 hrs and he is working 55 hrs. I am attending 13 credit hours. He still expects me to do everything. Including his laundry.
In March I sat him down and explained that something had to give. He had to start taking on the chores and being an active parent, I had to drop out of school therefore giving up on making an financially independent life for myself or quit my job. We came to an agreement that I would quit my job and pay for the 3 bills that had my name on them. These bills total to about $900 a month. He is working 55 hrs at this point.
30 days later, he stops going to work. I am not working and am a few weeks away from completing my first semester. He says he needs a mental health break and not to tell his mom.
Another month goes by. I pay all the bills I can. I can't afford the mortgage or the phone bill. I go get my own phone bill since he has racked up charges on the bill and it's going to be shut off. He has done nothing but play gta V. I call his mom, she makes it sound like she will get him taken care of and he won't be my responsibility.

It's almost June, my ex has not sought psychiatric help and his mom has made it clear its not her problem. We have received a default notice on the house as he has not payed the mortgage in 2 months. My dad has stated that if I did enter the rent to own, he would stay here and help more with the bills so I can focus on school and get a good job after I graduate.

While I have heard that there are pocket radios sold at the track by vendors, personally I wouldn't want to chance being able to understand what's going on at the race based on whether you make it to the vendors before the radios sell out. With over 100k fans in attendance, and all the interest around the Hypercar field, I'm sure there are plenty of underprepared new fans who will be buying them too.
But it's not to late to prepare by shopping locally, or if you're lazy like me, online.
I would recommend a cheap, quality pair of headphones. If you plan on re using this gear or just like good sound, something like the kiwi ears cadenza is great value for money at 37 pounds/42 euro and sounds like much more expensive audio gear. It's highly praised amongst the audiophile world as breaking down the price barrier for how much you spend before the gear sounds good.
I have also found the cheapest suitable IEM headphones with good ratings. Use these at your own risk if you don't already have in ear 3.5mm headphones to plug into the radio but need ultimate budget (in ear meaning they have the soft tip that makes a seal with your ear and protects your ears from exhaust sound + seals radio audio in. You need in ear headphones)
Remember that you will be listening to Hindy talk for over 12 hours while you're awake. I can confidently recommend that the Kiwi Ears will be a listening pleasure. I have no experience with the cheap ones I found. But in ears are a must. You won't hear commentary when cars pass otherwise.

While I have heard that there are pocket radios sold at the track by vendors, personally I wouldn't want to chance being able to understand what's going on at the race based on whether you make it to the vendors before the radios sell out. With over 100k fans in attendance, and all the interest around the Hypercar field, I'm sure there are plenty of underprepared new fans who will be buying them too.
But it's not to late to prepare by shopping locally, or if you're lazy like me, online.
I would recommend a cheap, quality pair of headphones. If you plan on re using this gear or just like good sound, something like the kiwi ears cadenza is great value for money at 37 pounds/42 euro and sounds like much more expensive audio gear. It's highly praised amongst the audiophile world as breaking down the price barrier for how much you spend before the gear sounds good.
I have also found the cheapest suitable IEM headphones with good ratings. Use these at your own risk if you don't already have in ear 3.5mm headphones to plug into the radio but need ultimate budget (in ear meaning they have the soft tip that makes a seal with your ear and protects your ears from exhaust sound + seals radio audio in. You need in ear headphones)
Remember that you will be listening to Hindy talk for over 12 hours while you're awake. I can confidently recommend that the Kiwi Ears will be a listening pleasure. I have no experience with the cheap ones I found. But in ears are a must. You won't hear commentary when cars pass otherwise.

recently started working at a gas station. there's this handsome regular who always buys the same thing and pays in weird ways (usually coins, once a benjamin). always gives me fist-bumps. one night i'm out smoking and he comes up all: "guy inside told me to find you outside. i wanna let you know that i think you're kind." as he and his friends drove off after that he honked and waved. i'm dense as a brick and didn't consider him liking me til recently. as soon as i did i made it my mission to find his name. i put out this dumb spiel about how kind cashiers don't know the name of their loyal customers. he tells me, then chats up his workplace a bit and i learn he works at the local furniture store. he says, "keep us in mind." i say, "i'll keep you in mind" with a dweeby wink and tap on my head. he laughed, same as i did when he said i was kind. next day he's less himself, more tired. i was too, because last night i drank a victory lap to not only getting his name but learning what he does. day after that he brings us fuckin pizza and i'm kicking myself for not giving him my number then. woulda been perfect: you give her pizza, she gives you her number, boom. but i chickened out. lucky me, my lamp breaks and i need a replacement. i go and give him my number, and buy a lamp. he seems distracted upon getting the number but that's okay 'cause he's in the middle of a sale ( i wound up buying from his co-worker, had a funny look on his face when i passed my dude the number like we were kids in middle school, i had a spiel planned for that too).
and this is where i start feeling less my age due to inexperience. i spent my teens and 20s studying down a dead end and helping my dying father, so i had no time or energy to give to guys. now i do. but, it's only been 8 hours. how long should i wait before i scratch this off and move on? it could just be memorial day, right? (they gave me today off and, who hits up the gas station for M Day sales?) maybe he's drinking with his friends like most ppl do on holiday?

TL:DR I married a woman who I respected more than anyone else in the world, I realised I deified her. But we were not well matched and fought constantly. She gave up on the relationship and withdrew and kind of ignored me for about 8 years. After counselling, I gave up, I fell out of love and told her and now she wants to save the relationship and is treating me like I had always wanted. But I think it's really too late, I don’t believe in romantic love anymore, she thinks I am “not trying”. I am just happy to be room mates and cloister away for the last 20 year of my life, – is this realistic, is it just a cop out on my part, should I just make a clean break?
So long story, I fell in love with this woman in my mid-thirties, she is one year younger than me. I have just turned fifty eight). Smartest person I ever met (has a PhD in biological sciences), I am a dentist, she probably has double my IQ. I worshiped her from the moment I met her. She was pretty, sure, but to me she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, week by week, month by month she became more beautiful to me.
We are great at intellectual conversations but we also clashed frequently. To be fair, I have a very arrogant self-assured demeanour and what I thought was playful debate was often a crushing attack for her. Little things, big things, she often felt I was attacking her in the way I would ask a question or belittling her views. Sure we all do that to our partners but so many times I was asking a question because I knew her judgement would be better than mine and out of left field she would feel there was some other agenda. Our therapist explained that she had some kind of self-hatred that I could trigger with out knowing and I should not take her, sometimes very emotional, responses personally. But she would get very personal in verbal attacks and ridicule me as if to prod me to get angry. If I managed not to get angry, which really was 90% of the time, that enraged her. Basically every argument led to her feeling “like a worthless piece of shit”, if I was right then that made her feel even worse.
Maybe two nights a week she would leave our bed and cry herself to sleep in the spare room, for years. Not without reason, I worked long hours and she did most of the housework. I was very black and white, she was more nuanced. We have been in and out of counseling for years mostly focused on how to argue fairly – short term impacts. Neither of us were ever unfaithful.
So after years of this she withdrew, completely. Very little physical intimacy, a tired sounding response when I would ask a question. She didn’t touch me in any way, except for "charity sex" on birthdays or other occasions. I missed being touched so much. Her responses to me became shorter and more off hand. She seemed to have no interest in talking to me. If I talked I would often get a bored stare as if she couldn’t wait till I was done talking.
At around the 12 year mark of our marriage, during an argument, she point blank said “You should stop talking to me like I have any investment in this relationship, I don’t and I don’t understand what you are still doing here.” It wasn’t said in extreme anger, it was more said in despair. It very was hard to hear. She said it again some years later, a little more pointedly, beginning with – “as I told you before..” That hit really hard, meant it wasn’t a passing thing. I think she only stayed because she was too depressed to leave.
So about 3 years ago,I went to counseling again, basically telling the counselor I was on the edge of giving up too unless I could find a breakthrough. The counselor didn’t intend it, but the outcome of the counselling was that my idealized vision of the relationship popped, recognised that it had not been great and was unlikely to improve.. Over a couple of months I realized that I was deifying this wonderful woman but there was really no great relationship there, we were never well matched.
Suddenly, I fell out of love. It was a truly horrific experience. I decided I had to tell her, figuring that would be the end of the relationship, a relief for her. I told her and she was, surprisingly, devastated. Suddenly she wanted to work on our relationship. She became attentive, wanting to be physically intimate, never seeing any veiled attacks in my conversation any more. Listening to my stories and laughing hilariously instead of sending me a bored stare. Now she says she really loves me. But I wonder if she is just scared of being alone.
When we had troubles, I had always told her I would stay, no matter what. I realize now that was a recipe for failure. If only I had known all those years ago that if I had drawn a line in the sand, communicated that I would leave if I was not happy, that perhaps the relationship might have been more equal .So that conversation was 3 year ago, we haven’t had sex for over 3 years now. I had to tell her I just don’t feel that way about her anymore, She is devastated but tries to initiate sex again every 6 months or so. She occasionally asks me “to make up my mind “or she would ask“is this going to change”, she is hoping something might reignite old feelings. It eats away at me that she now does so much for me spontaneously and I do so little, emotionally, for her. We chat amicably over dinner, that’s about it.
I do feel some anger that now she is nothing but pleasantness, why did we suffer through all those years if, seemingly at the flip of a switch, I am actually bearable to be around?
So we are both nearing 60 and I probably need to “make a decision” rather than just co-exist. Why haven’t I left? We have a nice house and are comfortable. I guess I am scared to be alone too. You wonder what old age will be like alone. I would lose the (handful) of couple friends that we have. Our son and daughter are closer to her than me (I am admittedly a bit of a jerk) and I would probably not see them as much. Financially, I could retire that earlier if we didn’t split up. I have basically told her I am happy to co-habit, to support each other where we can, to be friends, but I don’t see my feelings changing. I don't look forward to holidays with her, but I don't hate the idea. She would like at least some shows of affection, but that is hard when your heart is not in it.What would I do if I left? Do I want to go through the painful ups and downs of a new relationship – I don’t feel strongly attracted to the idea.
I am a member of a spiritual group that would probably advise me to just stay and spend my time in retreat most of the year – which is what I really want to do when I retire, but that’s not a relationship is it.

2023.05.30 07:19 childlesscamper [CO] Friend arrested, was traveling with dog. Don't know what happens or what to do?
So I don't have all the pieces since this happened a few hours ago, but I'm not entirely sure how active of a role I can/want to play here. But I have some questions and concerns as to what could be happening (based off what I know).
My friend was driving back to CO from visiting New Mexico for the holiday weekend. He has his dog with him in his car. He was pulled over on the interstate (I know where) and arrested (I do not know what for). He was officially processed a few minutes ago by checking the intake system. He had his phone and was texting me a little up until he was processed, but now nothing. What's the process for him here?
My other concern: what has happened to his dog (and his car)? This one is kinda keeping me up tonight not knowing. They don't just leave pets in (non-securable) vehicles on the side of the interstate, do they?
Any advice for how to begin to navigate would be helpful, particularly his dog. Thank you!
