Got a disciplinary hearing for Gross Misconduct
Hi guys so I work in a call centre so a few days ago I hung up on a customer as I just was not feeling well that day and the customer was starting to cause a fuss an complain.
I know I should have been better with my objection handling but yeah so they’ve investigated it and now have said I will have a disciplinary hearing in the next two weeks.
I’ve worked here for just over a year and this is my first ever occurrence of a issue happening and a first disciplinary.
The notice period to quit is 1 week, so I need help in deciding whether I should quit asap or go to the hearing.
I mean I’ve struggled recently because I’m working this full time job and I’m trying complete my uni degree at the same time causing me to just be burnt out and also all the costs of paying for uni which I’m doing myself and other costs has had me stressed out which is why I just couldn’t take another complaint on that very call.
Could you please help with what option I should choose, as they already investigated and know that I have hung up on that call which would come under call avoidance which call centres say is gross misconduct that in itself is pathetic.

I (34f) have found myself in a little bit of a situation. Until a month or so ago, my job had me making phonecalls to a company 60 miles away sometimes up to 7, 8 times a day.
This particular company hired a new guy who takes most of my phonecalls in around July last year. I immediately took a shine to him and we always had a laugh while we were dealing with whatever work query I'd contacted him about.
Somehow, around 3 months ago, we started talking at the end of the day about non-work things. For about 3 months now we've spoken at the end of every weekday for 15-30 minutes and it's clear that there's something between us.
He's a little bit younger than me (9 years 😬) but I am 80% over that now. He's considerate, intelligent, kind, sensitive, funny, he has his priorities in order, we spend so much time just laughing, we talk about anything/everything and there's still so much left that we don't know about each other and I really hope that we get the chance to explore that someday.
I've tried to move things into personal time/space before by giving him my personal phone number, but he didn't want to take my number until after we meet in person, if we meet in person. I got a little butthurt about it but in some ways I think his approach might actually be the best one.
As it stands we are just friends. There's no harm can come by just friends meeting each other, and because we will continue to have to work together, it's really sensible for us to stay in the work-centric lane for now.
Now, onto my problems... I have no idea what he looks like. He tried to describe himself to me on the phone once and told me some very basic details but that's all I've got. I know he's on Facebook but his name is so generic (think Joe Jones) that I can't find him and know it's him. My colleague told him she found him on Facebook once and he freaked out because he didn't want our team to know what he looked like. He was legitimately relieved when I explained it wasn't actually him (I knew things about him that my colleague didn't that would mean the profile she found couldn't have been him).
He's told me quite explicitly that if anyone wants to know what he looks like they should go and meet him. Fair enough.
When we were talking about each others appearances I told him just to Google me and the company I work for, because it brings up my LinkedIn profile which has a picture of me on it from 2019. So I expect that he's seen that although he's never explicitly told me he has.
My manager has suggested on more than one occasion for us to go and meet him and the rest of his team. We work really closely with them and they're a great bunch with whom we have an amazing working relationship. So I absolutely have got a reason and an opportunity to go and meet him via work.
However, I told my manager that I don't want to go and meet him and his colleagues. Why would I do this?
I gained around 180lbs since the picture of me on LinkedIn was taken in 2019.
In 2020 I had an episode of psychosis and was hospitalised for just over a month. After that, and for about 18 months, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and taking some awful medication. I didn't even realise I was putting the weight on until it was too late, and I know that I've gained an extreme amount of weight to not notice, but it is what it is and I am where I am.
I got un-diagnosed with bipolar disorder on January 23rd this year and immediately stopped taking the medication. Mentally I'm in the best place I've been since before I went through psychosis, and since stopping taking the medication I've lost just a little over 30lbs and am consistently continuing to lose.
I intend to lose the remaining 150lbs that I've gained, but of course, it's going to take some time. I expect probably 18 months before I'm in a place where I can be happy and confident with my appearance again.
What would you do? Go meet him while you're too fat to be able to reasonably expect anyone to be genuinely attracted to you? Wait until you'd lost the weight? Would you tell him your current situation?
Just a couple of days ago he said to me what does a guy have to do to get a visit from you?
The reason I'm thinking this over now is that early next week I have annual leave, because I'm going to an event 2 miles away from his workplace. He asked me what I was doing with my annual leave and I've told him I'll tell him when I get back from the leave. He said he'll be thinking about that all weekend.
So the conversation is going to be that I absolutely could have come to visit him, and chose not to. It will be a great opportunity to have a conversation about meeting. I just don't know what I'm going to say.

I have a hot take on those scaly little buggers from the Elder Scrolls - the Argonians. Now, I know some of y'all out there think these guys are cool or whatever, but let's be real - they're just a bunch of lizards in people suits.
I mean, come on, have you seen their faces? They look like they got hit by a bus and then dragged through a swamp. And don't even get me started on their tails - what's the point of those things, anyway? They can't even hold a sword or cast a spell or anything useful like that.
Plus, have you ever tried talking to an Argonian? It's like trying to have a conversation with a pile of rocks. They don't emote, they don't express themselves, they just stare at you with those beady little eyes and flick their tongues around like they're trying to catch flies.
And let's not forget about their "special ability" - the whole underwater breathing thing. Like, who cares? Unless you're planning on spending all your time swimming around in the mud, it's completely useless.
Honestly, I don't know why anyone would want to play as an Argonian. There are way cooler races out there, like the Orcs or the Dark Elves. At least they have some personality and interesting lore.
So, if you're thinking about rolling an Argonian in your next playthrough, do yourself a favor and pick something else. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

And there are so many instances where enemy combatants are just playing music to pass the time or until we show up and cause them some trouble. I am 39 Male been married for 10 years with a most amazing women that I could only dreamt of. We have a wonderful marriage and we are very happy with each other. She is very kind, humble and intelligent and we are deeply in love. Few days ago we were discussing about our future, our child and past experiences. Out of nowhere she froze and said can I tell you something very disturbing. I said yes and with tears in her eyes said when she was 12 years old one of her dads friend raped her in a marriage they visited. She said she is sure because lot of blood came out. He kept touching her weirdly for next 3-4 days they stayed. She got very scared and couldn’t tell anyone which she never did until now to me. I was shocked but all I could think and feel what horrible experience she must have been and how did she cope with that. I quickly went and kneel on the floor grabbed her hand and told her to not worry as it’s wasn’t her fault. I empathized with her and crying aswell which I’m doing right now. She is asleep but I can’t think of anything but the pain she carried all these years. I asked her if it’s ok to know this guys name which she told me but maybe it’s not the exact as she can’t remember.

Ok so hi guys, i know most people already know this is a thing, but hey i hadn't heard about it until a few days ago, ive been kicking myself for not knowing about and using it sooner as i could have saved hundreds in the last year alone when online shopping, so thought id do a little PSA kind of post just to inform people.
Often when online shopping you will end up having to pay in a currency other than your home currency, which means the currency needs to be converted, up till now id always assumed my bank would just give me the best rates, but who would of guessed, banks are greedy, turns out there are lots of services that offer debit and credit cards that give you MUCH lower currency conversion fees! (not just wise! wise is generally the most popular and supported though, but look around at other options if you like)
With wise, you just load up your card with your normal currency, and then whenever you make a purchase in another currency online (or when travelling over seas too!) it converts it on its end first at its much better rates and fees, and then sends the payment through in the other local currency, saving you money, meaning you can go and buy stuff in USD, AUD, CAD, whatever, you dont have to think about it, it does the conversion for you and you know your going to be getting a much better deal.

Hi all,
I picked up a really good looking 1980s/90s concorde frame that I will do up into a fixie. Its turning into a bit of a project which I'm looking forward to but wanting to get moving on. I have a lot of the parts i need, wheels, peddles, steering post and handlebars... my issue comes from the headset and bearings.
I went into a bike store today in search of a new bearing set, and the guy pointed out that it would be wise/needed to replace the entire headset. It takes a 22mm steering tube, and, as per the bike mechanic, i'm in need of a 22mm pin bearing, headset. It ended with him suggesting that due to the age of the bike and the kind of headset i need, I would be wiser to search online for the older style headsets that would be most appropriate, and that bike stores in town would likely not stock compatible headsets.
My scant knowledge ran into some trouble and now i'm left wandering the internet learning about pin, ball, and sealed bearings, stack heights, ISO and JIS headsets..... Safe to say, I'm a bit lost with what i actually need / need to know, which brings me here.
I'm wondering if anyone has experience in renovating an older concorde frame, and if advice could be given to regarding the headset and bearings.

Wanted to share a sad story of betrayal and teaching.
Have you ever been berated for choosing Yorick? Has any of your "teammates" loathed the champ you were hovering in champion select. Well today I jumped into ranked and I had sadly caused another toplaner to be autofilled to support.
Said toplaner asked for their lane back and I had to refuse. Said toplaner proceeded to bemoan me and the fact I was locking in Yorick. I chose not to respond.
Luckily said toplaner got their wish and somebody skipped- at the time I'd thought that they were the one to have skipped, Alas.
As I loaded into my next champion select, the I had a funny conversation with my team- they'd swapped me to last pick as I'd asked for.
Yorick was not banned this game.
Just as I was about to lock in Yorick, the enemy toplaner locked him in first.
My heart dropped but then I had an intrusive thought that made me grin.
I locked in Irelia.
You see, I stopped banning Irelia a while back as I'd picked up Tryndamere as a counterpick and people were usually happy to give me last pick.
As we loaded into the game, the enemy Yorick asked me if I was the top who stole their role last champion select.
I told them that I was that guy.
They began spamming "XD" in /all, believeing that they had pickbanned Yorick from me.
Little did they know, the mistake they had made by locking in Yorick with Irelia open.
I don't have to be the one to tell you that the game was a giga-stomp, they stopped typing and accepted their fate at around the 10 minute mark.
TL;DR, Guy who didn't like me pickbanned Yorick and I counterpicked with Irelia, he had no idea it was a 10 - 0 matchup.

This guy is regarded as second only to TOAA, and imo has a cool concept going, but is never really utilized in the Marvel landscape. I feel like he only serves as a benchmark in power scaling for a couple panels at a time and seldom anything more. In other words, you could rename him to "Power Level 9,000" and nothing would change in the comics.
I understand it's difficult to integrate someone at such an extreme power level into plots without things simply breaking (like, what? Is he supposed to battle Kingpin or something?), but I'd like to see him and his mythos explored more. Do we need to work on the weekends before and after that week? Does it mean we are gonna have a 9 days break?? It’s tough to edit our own videos. And you may need to update your gear as well.

Anyway, there are more and more topics on T1kt0k right now. Girls from other countries talked about stuff. Now girls in the LA/San Francisco area are talking to. It's weird, they're saying EXACTLY the same as Melina said. Like, some neighbors and random people doing [email protected], after the (targeted) girl called out some stuff online.... It looks linked and it looks like those people are paid hitmen (or people who can't reimburse their loans to loans [email protected] ....) Same exact ways. Same crowd behind this maybe ? It just makes the theory that Melina was spotted in San Francisco and it's someone who lives there (or used to live there before and might still spend lot of time there) that is doing all this more plausible. She went to San Francisco when she was 18, more than a decade ago. She said she didn't meet "those people", though.
It's like, we know some p3d0 pervs, allegedly working at Microsoft, been stanning/stalking Melina (and other girls) from [email protected] when they were all 14 year old. Some were already harassing Melina from her old blog (not well known...)
Anyway, more and more people think that stuff that happened BEFORE Melina even used Twitter (before the end of 2012), in Shenzhen and other places, were actually linked to this already. It's just Melina never thought about it.
She did explain that stuff happened on We1bo and IRL. And they always use people with the same name (all of them had the same name, guys, girls, whatever).
We're not too sure of the exact timeline, but Melina said that in a court of law, it would take 5 minutes to prove (and also debunk their LIES and SLANDER). Melina doesn't have to justify herself or expose her private life.
Anyway, some stuff happened before Melina even made videos or created her first company (October 2015-July 2022). They posted [email protected] like "Melina is mine" + pictures of San Francisco on Tvmblr before she was actually known at all.
Melina said she doesn't know who could be behind that (but she's been told about some person specifically by name since 2015 in Shanwei (by people doing [email protected] gigs/[email protected] [email protected]), and "all of this stinks indeed".

Apparently, Melina doesn't care, she doesn't want to know, she doesn't want to check or anything, to her, it would be a waste of time, she just want to make her softwares and do whatever.
Anyway, facts :
- Melina posted on a blog since she was like 15 ? Like 15 years ago onwards. She posted lyrics. She was asked by someone who claimed to be working in the music industry (in France) if she would sell her lyrics. Melina said no after a while (probably because she promised she would sing them instead ? Not sure WHEN all that happened). Allegedly, some song's lyrics sounded A LOT like the ones she had posted on her blog, though.... (15+ years ago)
- Melina talked in video about someone (else ?) talking a lot in private messages to her, giving her advice and telling her to NEVER accept work related appointments at night/in a night club. People tried to warn her about s3x [email protected] and stuff
- Melina talked about that "guys who looked nervous AF" and who went to talk to her in a mall in Singapore, because he was hiring models. Melina thought he was just "trying to get in her [email protected]", he looked nervous and also she's "1 meter nearly 60" height, so, under the 1m70 girls need to be in order to be models. Opinion : Singapore has a "red light district" and is nearby other countries known for their s3x [email protected] issue.
The guy gave Melina his business card, she never called back, she was on holidays there. (Happened more than a decade ago)
- Some guy, even @ Melina before, always rambling about how "his wife" (something weird about this), and later about how the girl he likes wasn't paying attention to him, he was trying to get her attention but she was kind of a dumb-dumb who doesn't get it and is whooooshed all the time. Melina literally @ back at him something like "Oh, that's sad, not sure how to help". Lot believe he was talking about Melina.

Theories (and opinions) :
- Some song lyrics, it's weird. Like, can't detail, but there is French even in the lyrics. And for some reason, it could be possible (we all know, but let's not type it out) it was @ Melina. I mean, people working in the music industry knew about Melina since years before that, so it's not impossible. Especially since the song is 1/2 in French.
- Something weird, insulting people with same health condition (same year as the songs, plural) that was doxxed about Melina (hypoglycemia).

Anyway, when asked, Melina basically said "Don't know, don't care, got better things to do". She doesn't want to know about stuff going on online or anything, she is obviously and understandably very not ok and bothered with people sent to her IRL even at her door, to always scream the same nasty [email protected] (see videos of it).
And other people, some are posting on T1kt0k, they seem to have the same stuff done to them. In the USA. It strikes as VERY similar. And they expose stuff.... Like, s3x [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]). Allegedly how a celebrity crush could be used for luring the victim................................................ Some used to work as s3x w0rker, so I would assume they know for a fact how stuff happen and how they do.

This is so weird. Because the more you know about those "random facts" that happened before, like more than a decade ago, the more you feel like, they already were doing [email protected], it's just that Melina wasn't paying attention, wasn't connecting the dots and didn't care at all. She literally still doesn't care and doesn't want to know.
But even then, it's weird, like, how many are they in his head ? Are was that several people already ?
Anyway.
Everybody is VERY upset, because for reasons that been doxxed, those pds (and dgse) they been stalking Melina (as the victim of something) for ever, so they know exactly who was talking to her, who wrote the lyrics (songs that sound A LOT like what Melina had posted and the other ones), who talked to her (because Melina said it was websites like Reddit, you don't know EXACTLY who you're talking to, could literally be talking to a pds for all we know, and everything that happened IRL.
In 2015, someone LIED and pretended to work in the music industry (or maybe they do have ties ?.........) and even managed to get Melina's phone number and talk to her. (See the recording, where she explains the guy was NOT actually in Shenzhen, was probably using a 2 in 1 phone number from HK (which expire after 3 months if you are not in HK to top money in it, no [email protected] to do so in HK ?), and he literally typed on his computer, while claiming to be outside, then played some [email protected] recording of Cantonese people talking in Cantonese (when most people don't talk Cantonese at all in Shenzhen, because it's like LA, most people living there aren't FROM there.....).

Anyway, we're 👀👀👀 what other people are exposing. It really looks like it's linked, same ways and stuff.
We're just trying to figure who and what. Microsoft execs doing [email protected], that's one thing, they literally SIGNED what they did, real account, real name, and so on ! Then the m3th [email protected] and people trying allegedly to force people to [email protected] money for them. And stuff around SF. Is that actually linked ? Epst3in and stuff proved that actually all those people are linked by allegedly doing VERY evil things.
Also, I do not know if those other girls are checking here, but they should really be careful about their phone and apps. It's been exposed AS A FACT, that whoever has access to admin accounts, can check ANYTHING or even take control of their account........
Phones and phone apps, though. If your phone goes black at key moment when you want to record (allegedly what happened to Melina before), it's not "bad luck", it might not be a bug....it might mean some app has control over the camera and stuff. It's code. It's not a conspiracy, it's no magic, it's FREAKING CODE !
