2023.06.09 03:02 SportsPicksChat 6/9 Friday MLB Texas Rangers vs Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview

6/9 Friday MLB Texas Rangers vs Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview
In this Friday MLB matchup, the Texas Rangers will face off against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. Both teams have been performing exceptionally well this season, making this an exciting game to watch and bet on. Let's analyze the statistics and trends to determine which team is more likely to cover the run line and whether the total will go over or under.
The Texas Rangers enter this game with a solid 40-21 record and have been on a winning streak lately. They have a strong offense, averaging 6.33 runs per game, which ranks them first in the league. Their offense has been consistent, producing offensive hits and walks that put pressure on opposing pitchers. Defensively, they have held their own, with a team ERA of 3.80, which ranks fourth in the league.
On the other side, the Tampa Bay Rays boast an impressive 46-19 record. They have been dominant in recent games, winning their last five games. The Rays have a balanced team, with a strong offense averaging 5.75 runs per game, ranking them second in the league. Their defense has been solid as well, with a team ERA of 3.67, ranking them second in the league.
Looking at recent form, both teams have been performing well, with the Texas Rangers going 7-3 in their last ten games and the Tampa Bay Rays going 7-3 as well. The Rangers have been particularly strong against right-handed pitchers, with a 28-15 record. On the other hand, the Rays have excelled against left-handed pitchers, posting a 9-3 record.
Analyzing the head-to-head matchups, the Rays have had the upper hand against the Rangers in recent encounters. However, it's important to note that past performance does not guarantee future results, and each game is unique.
Now let's discuss the betting trends. The Tampa Bay Rays have been strong ATS, going 5-1 in their last six games. They have also been performing well SU, winning their last five games. Furthermore, the total has gone under in their last five games. On the other hand, the Texas Rangers have been solid ATS as well, going 9-3 in their last 12 games. They have also been performing well SU, winning five of their last six games.
Considering all the factors mentioned above, the Texas Rangers have a good chance of covering the run line, given their strong offense and recent form. Additionally, with both teams having solid pitching and defensive statistics, there is a possibility that the total will go under. However, it's always important to consider that anything can happen in a game, and both teams have the potential to perform exceptionally well.
Prediction: In this matchup, we predict the Texas Rangers to cover the run line, as well as the total to go under. The final score prediction for this game is 4-2 in favor of the Tampa Bay Rays

2023.06.09 02:54 anupwardtrend [Suggestion] PC for Gaming, Listening to Classical Music, $1500-$2500 price range

Looking for a pre-built for gaming. Would like to play new titles on medium-to-high settings (or just ESO if new games aren't do-able), also listen to classical music, have plenty of usb slots for external drives for media collection (or internal drives if it's an option), and run fairly quiet. Using Samsung smart TV as monitor but open to upgrading for 4k. Can go up to $2500 but happy if there's a good deal on something cheaper, in the U.S.A. No Microcenter nearby that I know of (Austin, Texas). Also prefer minimal lights visible. Not in a rush- in the next month-or-so. Thanks!

So, let's say the SEC would also use the same "Flex-Protect-Plus"-schedule as the B1G unveiled today for their 16 teams when Oklahoma and Texas join next year, which of the rivalries would be protected? Who would have the least amount of protected rivalries? Who would have the most?

2023.06.09 02:45 bernful What measurements to use to compare different volatility models?

Say I create three different models to forecast the volatility of SPX, with one baseline. What measurements could I use to measure the efficacy of each model? For example, using MSE or correlation. Additionally, if I’m comparing only ONE model to the baseline, a measurement like MSE isn’t really interpretable, so what to use in that case?

2023.06.09 02:37 Restless_Dill16 I'm having a bit of an identity crisis.

I'm seven months into my deconstruction. I just started reading The Evolution of God by Robert Wright to understand religion from a more unbiased perspective (I've only read the first chapter).
I know this is going to take time; after all, I've been going to church for 13 years (I started going when I was 11). I also know it doesn't mean I'm going to lose my faith. Maybe I'll leave my current denomination in favor of a different one. However, I feel so much anxiety over how my beliefs have changed. I don't feel like a Christian, but I don't feel like an agnostic/atheist, either. I don't really know who I am right now.
Here are some aspects I'm struggling with right now: 1.) The biggest one is my sexual orientation. A major reason why I started deconstructing is thinking I'm either gay or bisexual with a preference for men. However, after I accepted that I'm probably not straight and started deconstructing, I didn't feel the same. I didn't stop being attracted to men; it felt less enthusiastic at the idea of being with man. I worried I was forcing myself to be gay/bi. Even though loving someone of the same sex being a sin doesn't make sense to me, I guess I'm still worried about being wrong and going to Hell if I marry or have a romantic relationship with a man. I don't know if I'm just dealing with comphet/sexual orientation OCD or if I'm just straight and being a weirdo. 2.) I live in a small town and Texas, and I'm not getting out of here any time soon. I really don't have much going on aside from work and my hobbies. I haven't gone to church in a month because I was disgusted by their response to the recent shootings. However, I've been feeling isolated lately. Maybe I should conform and act like a good little church boy while I'm deconstructing. It feels so fake, but I don't know what else to do. 3.) I don't go one Facebook anymore because it's a boomer site and I fucking hate being on there. However, I sometimes think of those banner and/or profile photos of Christian families. You know, the ones where everyone is wearing their Sunday best and the lighting is annoyingly bright (I'll share a meme I found on Instagram if I figure out how to link it to show you what I'm talking about https://www.instagram.com/p/Cljd_9tvZZc/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==). I don't know if I want that life for myself, but I guess it's appealing because it's something I'm familiar with. Does that make sense?
On the bright side, I'm single. I've realized that I need to spend time with myself to figure out what I want my life to look like. I'm in no rush to date or get married or have kids. No one said I have to stay in this town for the rest of my life. It would probably do me some good to meet people outside of the Christian bubble (if only the secular society at the college didn't fall through). I'm going to take my time this deconstruction process. Take it one day at a time, one book/podcast/YouTube video at a time.
Anyway, do you have any advice for me to calm my nerves? I do feel a little better after typing this all out, but I'd appreciate the comments.

2023.06.09 02:31 EstablishmentKey624 My Dream Sheet - would love some input

Hey everyone, so I posted earlier about being a sensor operator and having that as my number one job and I was pretty confident in getting it as my recruiter gave me a list stating it was in high demand right now. Since posting that I have heard from many people it might not be in as high demand as I think. With that being said I’d like to take a second look at my top 10 preferred jobs dream sheet. Since I don’t have all the insight on the jobs (although I’ve done about as much research as I can to narrow my options down) I was hoping I could share it with you all and see if there might be jobs I’m missing or should consider removing considering what I’m looking for.
With that said these are the main things I want in a job IF I join the AF…
-great civilian transferability (in case I decide on a 1 and done 4 year contract)
-“rare” deployment tempo, I just got married and my wife and I would both like if I was deployed more then say 6 months every 2 years (of course that’s hard to gauge as all cases are different but looking for something with statistically low deployment)
-shorter technical school (I’m not looking to be in tech school for 6+ months)
-more duty station options the better (preferably texas, Florida, California, or other coastal areas)
-BONUS if tech school is located in Texas (as that’s home for me)
-and lastly a job that isn’t too monotonous where I will pull out my hair (I’d like to consider myself a person of higher capability then most and so I’d prefer to avoid tedious work that we could teach a monkey to do)
With all that said here’s my job list….please feel free to roast me in the comments if I included a bad choice.
Thanks in advance!
-remote aircraft sensor operator 1U0X1 -contracting 6c0x1 -air traffic control 1C1X1 -fire protection 3E7X1 -safety 1s0x1 -emergency management 3E9X1 -bioenvironmental engineering 4B0X1 -religious affairs 5R0X1 -scientific applications specialist 9S100 -SERE 1T0X1

2023.06.09 02:26 xhrui Are short sleeve tops needed for an Alaska?

*an Alaskan cruise
Hey guys. I am going on a cruise to Alaska this month. I was talking to my Mom about what to pack and I said I'll probably take short sleeve tops which I will wear under a long sleeve, a fleece jacket on top if needed, and on top of all of that, a thin puffer and a rain jacket. She adviced me to just get rid of the half sleeves and take just thin long sleeves for the "base". What do yall think? We are from Texas btw lol and very much not used to the cold. She thinks there's no way I'll be able to walk around in a half sleeve. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

2023.06.09 02:21 bigannie__ Having a reactive dog at a cabin is a nightmare

Hello to all of your reactive dog warriors,
I need to rant.
My dog is reactive, always has been, stray from Texas, yada yada. She's been doing so well lately, we're working with a new trainer and she has a noticeable improvement. Overall walks have been much more calm, way less pulling, less barking, more interest on me instead of the trigger. But, her reactions are INSANE, pulling, lunging, SCREAMING!! It's intense. Despite all of this she's always been very polite and kind to dogs that she's able to meet without a barrier, dog park, doggy day care, friends dogs etc.
All of that goes out of the window when we go to the cabin. People just let their dogs loose and it feels like we can't even walk out of our front door without being accosted by a barking dog running up to us. Today was especially difficult, I just wanted to take her for a long walk down the beach, there's a public camp ground along this space and some little kids with a big husky let the dog run up to us, my dog was calm until it was super close, out of fear I just picked her up and she barked pretty aggressively while the dog tried to jump up.
Does anyone have experience letting their dog wear a muzzle and allowing strange dogs to approach? Obviously in a perfect world dogs could just ignore us, but I feel like the amount of loose dogs running up to us lately will necessitate a muzzle. Does a muzzle also contribute to barrier aggression? Does it help at all to let dogs meet?
Fearing her reactivity will turn to aggression if she bites another dog in this scenario.
Any advice is appreciated!

2023.06.09 02:21 ShineJoker__ 23 [M4F] Texas/US/Online - Looking for forever

Putting this in the front, if you message me with just “hey”, “how are you”, “what’s up”, or any equally low effort response to this post I’m flat out ignoring your message. So please read this post.
Hey there, I’ve tried this a few times but still haven’t managed to find what I’m looking for, so I decided to suck it up and make a way too long post to cover all my bases. Seriously, this is probably gonna be a little long, but hey that’ll help me know who really is interested in me. So here we go.
ME - My name is Tanner, I’m 23 from Texas and am currently enrolled in music and theology school for another year. I will be working as a library assistant in August which is exciting, and will do that for a couple of years.
I’m 6’3 since people care about that stuff, a little overweight but currently building up muscle. I have dark curly hair, white skin, and glasses. (I have videos on my profile that show what I look like)
My interests include lots of nerd stuff. Anime, manga and manhwa, building model kits, video games, streaming, writing, music of course, stuff like that. I’m also learning Korean at the moment which has been a bunch of fun. I really want to go to Korea someday either with friends or with a special someone, or both, ya never know.
I have a dog named Mari who turned 3 this month and she’s my best friend. I’m a big animal lover in general and am very passionate about animal rescue and shelters for abused animals. I plan to get a cat in the future so Mari has a friend while I’m out working.
I want a family in the future so if you don’t want kids this won’t work out. I don’t smoke, drink, or do any sort of drugs and would ask that you do not either (social drinking is fine of course, not trying to police anyone I’ve just had bad family experiences with alcohol)
YOU - I’m looking for someone with a good personality, decent looks, and some sort of plans for their future. My preferences for appearance include darker hair, and either white or asian ethnicity, but this isn’t necessarily a deal breaker as personality is definitely a huge factor. I want someone who loves me for me and likes spending time together, even if we aren’t doing stuff together. Just the act of sitting on call while we do our own things, or in the future just hanging out in the same room doing separate stuff is a huge plus for me.
Similar interests aren’t a huge deal though of course I hope that we have a couple of things in common to make early conversations easier. Overall I just want someone who loves to be with me and talk to me, and that I feel the same way towards. I love hard and promise you that you will be loved more than you thought possible.
So when you message me please send me a description about yourself, what in my post stood out to you, and a picture if you do not mind! I cannot wait to meet you and look forward to forever.

2023.06.09 02:17 YogurtclosetClean972 JJS #144 — The Worlds Saddest Pillow

We got a rollercoaster of an episode for you. Josh and Logan just flew back from Texas and boy is their everything tired. Josh is pretty sure he's still hurting from a trip to Six Flags that knocked him around quite a bit. Logan however is still recovering from his flight back home sitting next to the worst plane passenger ever. After discussing how bad plane riders should be punished, Josh talks about a man who may have made his own specialty neck pillow for a flight, which leads Josh and Logan to research the saddest, strangest, most buckwild-shaped pillows they've ever seen. Here's the link for the one they really dig into: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1315727699/loving-bear-puffy-hug-body-pillow-plush?

2023.06.09 02:13 tropicshorty Has anyone visited Bahamas in June? Anywhere tropical you can recommend for the end of June?

I haven’t travelled much at all aside from Florida. I am looking for a tropical, luxury (or just average nice) resort for a couple in late 20’s. I was hooked on Atlantis Bahamas but looking at the forecast it’s very rainy there in June. For the amount I’m spending I want the best chance of good weather 😭
Anyone been to Bahamas in June? Or can recommend anywhere tropical for end of this month. I’m reading December-April is best for most islands but I need a little vacation asap.
In Canada so I’m looking for somewhere that’s under a 5 hour flight if possible. Appreciate any recommendations!

2023.06.09 02:08 HotPotatoe69 The heat has hit my area and with that I'm out 😅✌️

I swear Idk how you drivers in hot ass states like Arizona or Texas manage the heat without dying lol. I'm in WA and yesterday the temp was 86 degrees, but since I'm driving a CDV, the temperature inside the cargo area must be 15 to 20 degrees hotter. I dunno if I got the beginning stages of heat stroke or not, but from 3pm until I got home at 9pm and I was able to take a cold shower, I felt the hottest that I have felt in a long time, and I got a headache and dizziness. It also didn't help that I didn't have time to take my lunch break, so I hadn't eaten all day. So yeah, I'm out. This job wouldn't be too bad in the fall or winter. Heating up is easier than cooling down after all. I'm not gonna keep putting my health on the line for this job lol. EOC is gonna cause heat exhaustion/stroke and all for Amazon to save a few bucks on gas.

2023.06.09 02:08 TheKnight89 What’s the name of this weed?

What’s the name of this weed?
Hi, First time homeowner living in central Texas and I see a lot of weeds in my Bermuda hybrid grass yard. Predominantly two types of weed. One is flat and looks like a cluster with the bottom of the stem kinda in purple color shade. Two grows tall and has only couple of leaves. Attaching photos of the weed and their seeds. Please let me know what the names of the weeds are. It would very helpful for me to find the right product to mitigate it.
