This is my first post here, so I apologize for any errors. I discovered this Jane Doe in the Namus Database and while information regarding her is little, I thought posting it here could shed some light on her case.
In the fall of 1991, a woman hiking through the woods by her home near Mount Jewett in McKean County, Pennsylvania discovered a skull cap. Concerned it may be of human origin, she handed it over to the authorities.
This skull was transferred to the anthropology department of the University of Pittsburgh in Bradford for further research. Researchers confirmed that this was indeed a human skull cap. The skull was determined to be one of a white female that was 15-30 years old. They also found there to be a fracture. This skull was additionally examined by anthropologists at Mercyhurst College in Erie, where researchers determined the fracture was likely that of a gunshot wound, indicating some form of foul play.
In the spring of 1992, a search was done by the Pennsylvania State Police with the help of Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Department in New York to find additional remains, but none were located.
In 2016, an updated range for her time of death was provided, which stated that the skull cap had been there for more than 2 years, but likely less than 30, meaning this Jane Doe could have possibly died from some time in 1961 to 1989. 2023.06.09 03:31 Molihuameimei Is it wrong to teach integrity to students when caught plagiarizing?
I would like some feedback from community especially fellow teachers. I am in a difficult school to say the least (I mean employer more than students). I am called into a meeting yesterday and told that my upcoming lesson of having student resit an exam because they type it instead of wrote it. This was an English test. School said typing was ok so I admitted fault in saying to write it. But my issue was that one exam I received was clearly copy and past (different font size) so I put through plagiarism checker and it was. So I decided next class they would resit exam so if any other student did this they would have the chance to not get done for cheating and actually show me what they know. I was going to follow that lesson talking about integrity and what plagiarism is. I was told by my principal I was being petty and mean. The school states they want to teach integrity and why plagiarism is bad so I was enforcing that. But I have had to just take the work students gave me a mark those. I am feeling lost and stressed and...I don't know. Would someone please tell me what they think? Was I wrong to want to have students resit the exam and teach them why copy and paste is not acceptable for an exam?

I’ve been dealing with severe health anxiety since January and have been going to therapy since February.
I graduated with my bachelor in May 2022 and came back home to work on the master program that my university offers online. While I was in college, I worked on campus, but when I moved back home, my parents told me to just focus on school and get a job after I graduate. I just have one semester left in the graduate program.
This semester was the worst. I’ve had to somehow manage graduate course while dealing with my health anxiety and health issues. I’ve been dealing with digestive issues since March and had the symptom of constant hunger that hasn’t gone away.
The constant hunger has led to a bigger decline in my mental health. My parents know I have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and mild depression but I guess they just expect me to go to therapy and get over it.
I feel so alone battling my mental illness and to make matters worse, bc of my severe anxiety, I still haven’t gotten my driver’s license. I just wish I could snap out of this and get my license and a job but it can’t be done overnight. Now, my parents have said that they won’t buy food anymore and to find a way to get food. Basically my mom only buys food to cook for herself and my dad buys his food to cook. I’m starting to feel like a burden. My mental illness has made me incapable of functioning as an adult.
I regret not staying in college and doing the graduate program in person. At least I would’ve been able to continue working on campus. I feel like I’m to blame for everything. I usually just suffer in silence bc I don’t want to add more stress to my parents.
I wish I could just be normal. Just be a normal functioning adult.

2023.06.09 03:30 Financial-Map-6625 Doing the JD or taking the bar?
I just received the admission decision today, I was rejected from the school I just graduated from two weeks ago as an LLM. I got my GPA which is 3.0 I took 31 credits out of 24 (contracts, criminal law, Arbitration, introduction to the American law, Civil procedure, professional responsibility, international business transactions, LLM colloquium, legal writing and research and independent study) and this is my first time studying in a foreign language. I submitted my application way back in March with my fall transcript. However they got back to me two weeks ago asking me to send my full transcript (after I went to their office multiple times asking about the status of my admission) that means they considered my application very late and they told me there is only 2 spots left. As an LLM I'm not required to take the LSAT to transfer from an LLM A to a J.D because I already did 1 years of law school and ai believe having the LSAT will make my record much stronger. Now, I do not know what to do I have 2 options and please guys help me to decide 1- Applying for an OPT (which I already did) so I could stay here legally for another year, study for the LSAT and take it in SEPTEMBER or OCTOBER and apply to different schools but I'm really scared I will get rejected again and again I know 3.0 Is not alot but taking 10 classes and studying for tge first time in another language (I'm not making excuses it was really hard) hit me hard, I could take non curve clases and get straight A's like fellow LLM'S but I want to take the bar and that take us to my second option. 2-I have fulfilled all the requirements for the bar as an LLM I took 9 credits classes and PR which means I can take the next test In February and If I pass the exam I will be a licensed attorney (I can only take the NY bar exam) and I can spend the upcoming months preparing and hopefully I will pass it. The thing is a JD will give me much more jobs opportunity and will help me in the future and I wanted to use my LLM to get into the JD which unfortunately I did not. If someone said take the LSAT and look into law school admissions decisions then if i did not get accepted apply for the bar in July next year the thing is my OPT will end in June if I did not get accepted I will have to leave the states. what should I do please help me I really really want to do the JD but I'm afraid that I will just waste my time.

2019 is probably the happiest year i've had since i became a teen/young adult.
it was my first year of uni, coming out of the gifted program in grade school with high prospects, i was living in a dorm room with my best friend, and i have always been a hyper extrovert (fit for the setting). for my entire life i've always noticed that i am most energized and happiest when im physically around people, and when i'm alone i feel drained. i hated schoolwork but i loved school because i got to see people every day. at the very least, i always prefer my nights to be spent on a group voice chat or something, otherwise i feel antsy and get insomnia.
that being said i had a baaaaaaaad time during the pandemic. the worst of it being that i got sick and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes which has been fucking with me relentlessly. otherwise it's been a constant battle with isolation and loneliness. the nitty gritty of which i'll be detailing in this post. my big source of frustration right now is:
i don't know if any of this is just me whining and inventing problems because im bored or if i genuinely have issues.
in 2020 i decided to change programs and schools and set my sights on a world class animation program (which i have still yet to get into x.x). it was bad timing since my parents decided to move to the city i was studying in with my previous university, and also, covid struck. the momentum i had in life was shot because i had to move back in with my parents in this alien city, where i've had trouble making real close friends in ever since. i have a girlfriend (nearly 6 year long relationship) who lives an hour away in the city i grew up in, and she is the sunshine of my life. wouldn't be here without her, honestly. for the past 3 years i've been limply attempting to make art and animation on my own, but without a group setting my creative process is shot. all my friendships are scattered so i never get the opportunity to have group voice chats like i used to. nevertheless, i almost never see people in person. lately i've had a running buddy that i've met up with a couple times, some art friends that i've picked up along the way on my journey towards the animation program, and, some people in the local competitive smash bros. community have invited me over to their places a handful of times, though i still feel like i struggle to fit in with most of them.
the amount of isolation i feel like i've gone through has warped my perception of other people and myself. i feel like i've been desocialized so even though im constantly craving socialization, when i find myself in the rare situation that i actually get what i want, i lock up. i'm overly self conscious, i feel like i say the wrong things a lot, etc. the worst though, is when im alone. i would say 90% of my life has been a constant feeling of loneliness and rumination. i genuinely don't know what to do or what to think of myself. i'm unable to judge nor do i have the ability to get help. i don't have access to proper healthcare or therapy because im not in school so my preexisting mental health problems have been ravaging me too, which sucks.
idk. what should i do?
i know that im so priveleged to have a loving and dedicated girlfriend, but the fact that i feel like i need more socialization than she can give makes me unload a gratuitous amount of my problems on her which are not her responsibility. this leads me to have been feeling constantly guilty about the way that i treat her. i feel like im her patient sometimes which is totally selfish and not her fault at all. so. even the one amazing thing i have in my life, has been warped into a sometimes isolating experience. self-inflicted, obviously.

How fucked am I? I am 27, Louisiana, currently working in a bank as a banketeller (combined) making $21/hr part time (20k yr). My resume/experience is laughable trying to get myself into the door of the finance world. My goal is to land something as a Finance Analyst, I absolutely hate sales, insurances sales etc. I have a 2.6GPA, and will be graduating with my finance degree this winter '23 (one accounting class destroyed me). I did not do any internships, can't even get accepted into any internships because of my GPA. I've tried applying to different positions but just keep getting rejected. (even places that require 0 experiences or "working towards finance degree etc") I currently have 10k in credit card loans, 100k in private loans. The past 2 years I've been doing my best changing my lifestyle, and have been paying my cards off. I don't see a world where I'm able to live If I can't find anything after I graduate. I've lost all hope in life (at the moment) to where if I don't see myself having a decent profession by next year making 50k~, I don't see the point in living anymore(seriously). I just need some advice. What can I do to enter the FA world? To the professionals out there, what advice would you give me? I have absolutely 0 networking, I barely have friends. I don't know how to network or how to even start. I'm very introverted and have annoying anxiety and I absolutely hate myself for that. Where do I go? Where can I start? I am a rising senior in college and am very torn about whether or not I should apply to law school. I have only taken one law class in college and found it very interesting, and I ended up doing okay in it (B+). Now as I consider going to law school right after undergrad, I feel scared to possibly make the wrong choice. If I choose not to go to law school, I feel that I might fall out of “study mode” and not want to go at all. If I do go straight to law school, I’m very afraid that I won’t do well compared to the rest of my class, especially in my first year. I have this fear because I only have experience in one class which I did okay in, so I’m not sure if law would be a strength or a weakness of mine. Any advice that could help?

"Bodhisattva" The photos ill attach below are correlating to this for me (ill also slap the whole GDP conversation because I asked it a lot of random questions from this reddit and other things nothing I felt like pointing out but maybe I missed a piece of information that could be useful) but never the less after asking about the colors (more on colors with the second statue) and giving a description of the statues it gave me "Bodhisattva"... after some more research and by that I mean reading a few texts and skimming them to just taking the google definition the deity "Bodhisattva" is A bodhisattva is "a Buddhist deity who has attained the highest level of enlightenment, but who delays their entry into Paradise in order to help the earthbound".... I Dont know why but the more I read about this deity the more I felt and seen a connection to the lore of CP77... it just to me makes sense with the state of night city the trapped ness of its residence and people... (just incase because I forgot and there may be confusion I'm currently and only have been talking about the FF:06:B5 statue placed in peoples homes, and in major Locations) I will get to the magenta orb statue soon though.... Even with Vs Journey I feel there is relevance for that deity and what he has going on with Johnny and his path throughout life. Just seems like the only REAL LIFE deity that resembles a crossed leg statue holding items in Buddhist culture not Hindu... monks trying to find the gate into Heaven ??? Do we have to help them pass as the secret mission somehow? I could not tell you and that seems to be just the case with this EE just never and true forward lead just theory and speculation. GDP at time was helpful and not lol Out Side of Buddhist belief I asked Chat GDP about Hindu Belief, my mother knows much about the Hindu beliefs and told me she has seen what's she felt like was hundreds of deity's cross legged offering items or having 4 arms so I asked GDP for fun and did some looking up of my own and found "Vishnu" God Of Time, Protection, Good Deeds and karma.... It just seems also like it fits right into lore and the monks wanting for no killing/violence... but as we know has been debunked a pacifist run triggers no flags or secrets and it just loops us back around into is this even the right deity ???? unfortunate what Leeds me as no is the items depicted in the hands After running through the discord and reading other leads from the [past 2 years I came across this] subreddit the theory of the Taishō Tripiṭaka era being possibly in correlation to the EE (i would source my reference but I cant find the sub rn brain is fried lol... and to go into how that lore connects would take too much of my words so if your confused how how this will correlate, go to the general discussion and you should be able to find the first theory on this there i think its the 777 theory and Zen I read it at ) Now this is where I left chat GDP and went Deep because I had a lot of question for chat GDP.... like do the numbers 3 or 7 Mean anything to deity's or the Buddhist/Hindu beliefs --- no ----- is there a correlation between the color shocking pink, pink, or magenta sited or found in Buddhist/Hindu beliefs---- no--- are there any deity's found in the Taishō Tripiṭaka era that are cross-legged and and have 4 arms---- well this is where i found that same deity in the Taishō Tripiṭaka era time of Buddhism in china the "Samantabhadra Bodhisattva" when I saw this deity pop up twice I was more intrigued on this being maybe what the FF:06:B5 statue could really be the depiction of this deity just cyberpunks version of the items to relate to the cyberpunk universe... Slightly different to the Buddhist version After Running into that i came to a halt because wanted to look more into this deity through texts and after reading the ZEN hypostasis... I had remembered I asked chat GDP about FF, I did some research and found that old ancient texts from the Taishō Tripiṭaka era and Buddhist texts were labeled for example T-1011 T-2032 F-2100 Ect So I looked through the oxford world religion book and sited some websites detailing the texts and the years from witch the were written in that time... And that these books direly correlated to the Zen teachings and the Zen gods that in this belief system... Going to the lucky 777 theory and Zen I went and looked at these texts, and for hours couldn't fins anything so I gave up on the F IN front and just focus on 2077 being the numbers IN front of any letter... and found this T0277 The with the finding number of T0277 talks about Samatabahadra the same sirname or start for the deity I had just mentioned appeared twice in my research.... at this point i just feel like if im not reaching by looking at these texts it has to be somewhat in relevance to the game right?.... well i wasn't convinced so i tried to find T-2077 or any texts labeled 2077 only now.. T2077 Taishō Tripiṭaka era Finding this text was a total pain in the ass but after finding the translated version something interesting appeared there two... The book "The Further Transmission of the lamp" published in 1372 has mainly to to with teaching on how to be Zen, it even says that texts from this time T2075-T2080 are (Zen School Biographies)...how to not fall into temptations like drinking and sin... Leading to that passivist theory and the no harm theory.. but with the info we have on that I wonder why that's just not the EE it makes the most sense right ? NOWHERE and I mean NOWHERE could I find a resemblance in any culture especially when you use the hot pink/magenta color because in Buddhism and Hindu colors dont necessarily have any connection or meaning especially the colors socking pink or magenta... Throwing me even more off so I think that If its..... 1 Not patched into game and still a in development Easter egg... then some of you guys as hunters really have put your sweet and precious time and hours into a pointless rat race... that they knew was going to keep us around till phantom liberty , id be disappointed but with the launch of the game i wouldn't be surprised to see that be the case unfortunately... 2 I think that if this IS and ongoing and Solvable Easter egg at the time of posting this than I just have some questions to the real deep searchers and people who know more than me witch could be a lot of you.... is there some item to interact with a monk/npc that's just on the ground we have to use?? When I played through on my second run besides walking into locked doors endlessly head first I really felt like with the game they made for no extra random special npc missions never required an item besides the key at the dock crying lady.... and if an npc wont do anything like her till the item is in hand maybe we missed an item to give to the monks or something ? and we wont know this is possible until they have it... i just wonder if the source code has been looked through and you can see what items are interactable and if we can see if there's a flag or trigger for any junk or misc item you may just pickup in a suit case walking around night city or not... if someone could tell me if this is pointless that would be great cuz i will play the came comb everything and grab every item i can to try... just when you play and factor some missions not being doable if you go to far ahead in a certain story to the other countless theory's of triggers i feel like its maybe pointless because maybe you need an item you dont get till way late in the "story" that you supposed to use early at the monk mission or not i just cant tell if its a effort not worth expending or not.. 3 Now this is what I think its least likely too be but if so would suck major.... when you take FF:06:B5 and convert it not into hexadecimal but ASCII you get the word You.... and with all the deity research and reading i did maybe its just referencing a deity and its power like.... We're from a small town where everyone knows everyone but since Ken is a grade below me so we never had a chance to interact before until recently. We have mutual friends and I've been around him before but we've never truly talked until 2 weeks ago at a party.
I thought we were getting along well and bonded quite nicely but in a platonic way. At the time, I didn't have any romantic thoughts about him. I just thought we had good chemistry and could get along well as friends. The next day, my best friends, who I'll call Carrie and Morgan, told me that Ken had looked really interested in me that whole night. I literally had not picked up on it at all. I didn't even think or want him to be interested in me because he had a girlfriend at the time.
Backstory on Ken's relationship, they were online dating so they had never actually met in person. Ken said he didn't like his girlfriend that much or and didn't know if he wanted to be with her or not. He talked like he didn't care for her and he talked about breaking up with her. Later on I found out she was being quite controlling and emotionally manipulating towards him but she was his girlfriend nonetheless so I stayed away.
For the next 2 weeks, I noticed how Ken was around me and I could tell, he had a crush on me. It was quite blatant. He texted me more, was awkward around me, and tried to be close to me at every point we were around each other. I was iffy about him. I liked the attention he was giving me because no guy had ever really been interested in me but he had a girlfriend. Even if he didn't like her, he was still dating her. Everyone around us thought we would look cute together. (They were pushing it because Ken said he was planning on breaking up with his girlfriend) I was still on the edge about it. Yeah, he's really sweet, respectful and we get along well, but I wasn't sure about him. I couldn't tell if I liked him or not. But as the 2 weeks went by I started to develop some feelings for him. Or what I think are feelings (I haven't had a genuine crush in so long nor have I ever been in a relationship so I'm not too sure what I felt or what I am feeling). I still kept my distance out of respect for his girlfriend.
That all brings us to yesterday. My friend group and I were going to the movie theater. We all went to a restaurant before and while we were eating, Ken started talking about how he broke up with his girlfriend. I felt sort of happy like "oh shit" but at the same time, if they had just broken up, I was not going to make a move immediately after. I looked across the table at Carrie and Morgan and they gave me a "now's your chance" kind of look. (I want to clarify that Carrie and Morgan were only wanting Ken and I to be a thing because Ken talked about breaking up with his gf. They wanted us to get together after ken's breakup. They did not and would never support cheating.)
Fast forward to the movie. Ken and I sat next to each other. During the movie, I was resting my hand near the cup holder and Ken grabbed my hand and held it. I cannot lie, I got extreme butterflies and could not stop smiling. I kept thinking "holy shit. holy shit. holy shit." We held hands the whole movie and that was it. I could not stop thinking about him after. Sort of like a switch and I started to think "oh shit, what am I feeling?". He texted me that night and told me he wanted to kiss me but chickened out. I told him I wanted to take things slow and he said he would. But he also said that if he was moving too slow to tell him.
Maybe I'm reading into this too much but to me it sounds like he doesn't want to take things slow and maybe just wants me for my body. I could be over thinking. I have severe trust issues and I am touch-starved so I don't know if I like him or not. I'm a hopeless romantic too so the thought of falling in love is something I want so badly but at the same time, I'm scared of relationships and change. I like being single. I don't know if I like him or the thought of him. I don't if I genuinely like him or my fear of a relationship is keeping me from pursuing this. I keep going back and forth of whether I like him and want to pursue this or not. I'm also going away for University in the Fall while he'll still be in our hometown. He doesn't have a car either so it'd be long distance and from how he treated his long distance girlfriend, I don't know if he'd stay loyal. I kind of want to enter University single because I will be meeting so many new people outside of my small town. I kind of want to keep my cards open. I don't know what to do. I don't want to waste a chance but at the same time, it doesn't feel like the best relationship. Maybe I'm too picky but I kind of wanted my first relationship to be with a woman. Someone my age who lived close to me. But I don't want to waste a chance. I just don't know what to do.

I liked the attention he was giving me because no guy had ever really been interested in me but he had a girlfriend. Even if he didn't like her, he was still dating her. Everyone around us thought we would look cute together. (They were pushing it because Ken said he was planning on breaking up with his girlfriend) I was still on the edge about it. Yeah, he's really sweet, respectful and we get along well, but I wasn't sure about him. I couldn't tell if I liked him or not. But as the 2 weeks went by I started to develop some feelings for him. Or what I think are feelings (I haven't had a genuine crush in so long nor have I ever been in a relationship so I'm not too sure what I felt or what I am feeling). I still kept my distance out of respect for his girlfriend.
That all brings us to yesterday. My friend group and I were going to the movie theater. We all went to a restaurant before and while we were eating, Ken started talking about how he broke up with his girlfriend. I felt sort of happy like "oh shit" but at the same time, if they had just broken up, I was not going to make a move immediately after. I looked across the table at Carrie and Morgan and they gave me a "now's your chance" kind of look. (I want to clarify that Carrie and Morgan were only wanting Ken and I to be a thing because Ken talked about breaking up with his gf. They wanted us to get together after ken's breakup. They did not and would never support cheating.)
Fast forward to the movie. Ken and I sat next to each other. During the movie, I was resting my hand near the cup holder and Ken grabbed my hand and held it. I cannot lie, I got extreme butterflies and could not stop smiling. I kept thinking "holy shit. holy shit. holy shit." We held hands the whole movie and that was it. I could not stop thinking about him after. Sort of like a switch and I started to think "oh shit, what am I feeling?". He texted me that night and told me he wanted to kiss me but chickened out. I told him I wanted to take things slow and he said he would. But he also said that if he was moving too slow to tell him.
Maybe I'm reading into this too much but to me it sounds like he doesn't want to take things slow and maybe just wants me for my body. I could be over thinking. I have severe trust issues and I am touch-starved so I don't know if I like him or not. I'm a hopeless romantic too so the thought of falling in love is something I want so badly but at the same time, I'm scared of relationships and change. I like being single. I don't know if I like him or the thought of him. I don't if I genuinely like him or my fear of a relationship is keeping me from pursuing this. I keep going back and forth of whether I like him and want to pursue this or not. I'm also going away for University in the Fall while he'll still be in our hometown. He doesn't have a car either so it'd be long distance and from how he treated his long distance girlfriend, I don't know if he'd stay loyal. I kind of want to enter University single because I will be meeting so many new people outside of my small town. I kind of want to keep my cards open. I don't know what to do. I don't want to waste a chance but at the same time, it doesn't feel like the best relationship. Maybe I'm too picky but I kind of wanted my first relationship to be with a woman. Someone my age who lived close to me. But I don't want to waste a chance. I just don't know what to do.

Hi! I just finished sophomore year and I am a rising junior. I plan to take 4 APs next year (AP Lang, APUSH, AP Research, AP Psych) along with Physics and Statistics. I was wondering if I should switch from the regular Statistics class to the AP Stats class. A lot of people have told me that if I am taking stats I might as well take the AP but I am not sure. Hi, I am about to start my PhD at the University of Aarhus. My monthly basic salary is approximately DKK 33K plus the DKK 1.4K PhD supplement. Additionally, in my case because I am a foreigner, have a fixed-term contract of less than 5 years and was recruited from outside of Denmark, I applied for the "pension exemption" scheme, which means that I will be paid together with my monthly salary an amount equivalent to the pension calculated at 17.1% of my basic salary. What I don't quite understand is whether the sum of all of the above, which is approximately DKK 40K per month will have the same tax rate or whether any part of it is deductible.
Having said all this, I'm not really clear on how much my salary will be after tax and that has me worried. I understand it's not that low, but I'm going with my wife, who won't be working there and I don't want to be financially pressured either.
By any chance could anyone give me an idea of how much I might be getting after-tax? Do you think it is a decent salary for a couple to live on in Aarhus?
