2023.06.04 19:16 vidkunae Working/Active Pressure of oxygen keeps fluctuating up and down while flowing during welds and cuts
I’m a fairly new DIY’ehobbyist to the welding scene and recently I’ve been experiencing a consistent flow issue with my oxygen during oxy-acetylene cuts and welds (multiple torch tips/types with same issue). Basically, while actively flowing the oxygen working pressure will constantly fluctuate up and down making it nearly impossible to maintain a proper neutral flame and occasionally killing the flame entirely. I’ve tried multiple torch tips and pressure levels, checked the gas lines and equipment for leaks, reset all connections, and cleaned out all related gear with no change. The hardware is all brand new (including both regulators) and initially I had no flow problems with either cylinder.
Both cylinders are size #2/40 cu. ft and about halfway used on each. Was wondering if it’s just a problem with the oxy regulator and/or if I can try anything else to resolve. Thanks for any assistance!

Hey there, art and culture aficionados!
I'm thrilled to share an exciting episode of "The Truth In This Art" podcast featuring the talented Farrah Skeiky. Join host Rob Lee as he engages in a captivating conversation with Farrah, an Arab American photographer, musician, creative director, and writer based in Washington, DC.
Farrah's work is a celebration of those who make and thrive in their element, focusing on subcultures and underrepresented communities. Growing up in Seattle and later in the DC suburbs, she has been deeply influenced by two regions renowned for their contributions to underground music. These experiences have significantly shaped her artistic perspective.
In 2008, Farrah started photographing live music, with a primary focus on punk, DIY, and drag communities. Her work goes beyond capturing the energy of performances; she uses her lens to highlight the importance of race and gender inclusion within these groups. She also explores how the transient nature of cities affects these communities, both positively and negatively.
Farrah's photography has garnered widespread recognition and has been featured in esteemed publications such as The Washington Post, The Guardian, National Geographic, Rolling Stone, Kerrang, NPR, and many more. Her evocative images and thoughtful storytelling shed light on the diverse experiences and narratives within subcultures.

2023.06.04 19:06 RouieE Late Fubar Review
I recently watched the first six episodes of the show Fubar, and unfortunately, I don't think I will continue watching. While it's fine for comedy, it falls short as a spy show. Here's why I didn't enjoy it:
- Lack of professionalism: Despite the main character, Luke, being referred to as a legend, none of the agents in the show come across as professionals. They consistently mix their personal issues with their work, which results in them not performing well in either aspect. Additionally, their personal issues don't even seem to be urgent.
- There are instances where they have killed innocent people without any remorse or consideration.
- Insult-driven humor: Roo heavily relies on insulting others for humor, but personally, I didn't find it funny. The constant insults became repetitive and didn't resonate with my sense of humor. It would have been better if the show explored different comedic angles to provide a more diverse range of humor.
- Emma appears to have the freedom to do whatever she wants without facing any consequences, and despite her actions, everyone inexplicably loves her. This lack of accountability and the unrealistic portrayal of her character made it difficult for me to connect with the story and its characters.
However, it's important to remember that humor is subjective, and there may be viewers who appreciate the show's comedic style. If you're looking for a serious spy show, I don't recommend watching this. However, if you're seeking something light-hearted that you can enjoy without much thought, it may be worth a try.

2023.06.04 19:06 keepitrealclark Have I missed something…
We’ve started watching Smallville for the first time, I’m a big Supes comic fan and was a bit young to watch it when it first aired but I’m finally getting around to it!
We’ve just finished episode 9 of series 2 and me and my wife just keeping asking ourselves the same question… is it just common knowledge that people have powers/abilities? Chloe just remarked about Ian splitting himself in two and basically laughed it off… we’ve taken it with a massive pinch of salt until now that no one’s ever seemed bothered that there’s these people with powers/abilities but the longer it goes on, the weirder it seems!?
Otherwise, we’re thoroughly enjoying our binge of Smallville!

2023.06.04 19:04 xotwod1111 Is it worth getting a second opinion for a diagnosis?
I had a heart monitor in February after having suspected pots for over a year after doing a poor man’s tilt table test in my gps office where my heart rate went for 100 laying down to 180 in 2 minutes. My watch showed that my heart rate did this everyday during the year I was waiting for my appointment and I found my symptoms debilitating. I also had suspected elhers danlos syndrome but my cardiologist said I couldn’t have eds as my heart structure is normal. My heart monitor showed that I have slight bradycardia and he said slight episodes of tachycardia. When I had the monitor on I was a lot more active than I usually am so spent the 2 days walking and doing exercise. He told me that the peak my heart rate went was 160 but it was usually in the the 150s which is normal (which I understand during exercise but my heart rate does this when i’m standing still). I also had a blood pressure monitor which shows I sometimes get low blood pressure throughout the day (101/63) so he diagnosed me with vasovagal syncope. I personally don’t agree with this diagnoses (which he didn’t even put in my notes/on the system) as I meet the criteria for pots and have done for nearly two years. When I had the monitor on I was also annoyingly having a good few days but my watch says that I would often hit 190 if not higher during light walks and would significantly go up when I stand from sitting. He also didn’t measure my heart rate from laying to standing. I was prescribed ivabradine which he told me to won’t affect how i’m feeling as it was a blood pressure issue but they luckily have helped me so much and I feel like i’m starting to get my life back. After research, I am debating whether to go private and travel 2 hours to see a pots specialist to get a second opinion/get a tilt table test to get the correct diagnoses. Is this worth doing as ivabradine has really helped me? I would love to hear someone’s opinion on what I should do, thanks :)

2023.06.04 19:01 HuckleberryFar2223 Gardens of the Moon Reread 70% Through thoughts
I started my first reread and it’s been unreal so far. Here are my scattered thoughts (spoilers for the entirety of the Book of the Fallen):
1) the foreshadowing is awesome. One line that stuck out at me in particular was Kruppe mentioning to Murrillio that a time will soon come that he doesn’t need to protect Crokus :( Dear, Friend Murrillio, you are a boss.
It’s also crazy how early Erikson mentions the Tiste Edur, Kchain, and Forkrul Assail.
2) Deck of Dragons readings make a lot more sense. So far, GotM’s readings have been contained to what’s happened in this book (possibly some TtH foreshadowing with a few connections between Rake and Shadowthrone, but IDK) and they’re actually pretty clear. Funny how confusing they are the first time around.
3) I love how early we meet some of the characters. For example, Antsy and Picker make an early appearance that I totally forgot about. Made me chuckle.
4) The scenes w rooftop activity make more sense knowing that the sorcerer-like assassins are Tiste Andii (I think?). I remember being really confused trying to figure out who was who during these scenes.
5) Tavore’s quick intro scene reminded me how COLD that mf is! She is a badass!
6) Toc’s intro scene hurt. Was a harsh reminder of the immense struggles yet to come.
7) I remember despising Tayschrenn, thinkng he was a complete douche, but his dialogue indicates that he’s not as coldhearted as the story makes you think. Really highlights the Malazan empire’s political disaster. Bro’s just doing his job, basically.
8) The timeline of the Mhybe dream confuses me. Does Pran Chiole travel forward in time to witness Silverfox’s conception?
9) Do you pity me, Ben Adaephon Delat?
so happy to be back in Wu. Love this series

2023.06.04 18:58 AssistancePretend668 Klonopin withdrawal/rebound
Not totally bipolar related, but you're all my people and hopefully understand. BP 2, although I've definitely had at least one manic episode, at least in my mind. Normally just on Lamictal 200mg/day, and it's done wonders for my life as a whole.
I recently had a VERY tough month (May), mostly between work and finances, as well as a wedding. I ended up finally cracking and asking my psych to send some something, anything in. I was breaking down more and more daily under the stress. I have NEVER done well with benzos, specifically klonopin, but he insisted, and I trust him tons over any psych I've ever seen.
He said we're getting you through the next 2 weeks, then we can see where things are at and come up with a plan. I know it's a lot but 3mg/day of klonopin. Naturally, as always, it messes me up even more. Can't remember a single thing, no judgement whatsoever, poor choices left and right. I end up taking the 2 week supply in about 1-1.5 weeks, and have to fly to see my family to get away and let things cool down. My mom reminded me that klonopin has never ever worked for me, and we agree to dispose of the remaining few days supply, esp as I want to feel better too.
Well, it's been a week and a couple days since stopping. I expected some rebound, which happened, then was subsiding within about 6-7 days. But now there seems to be a second wave. I could not sleep last night for the life of me. I was terrified in public yesterday with my girlfriend (who helped immensely), and I'm even more scared of work/money now. I did find some info online saying there can be a second wave like this, which contains more insomnia and tremors, both of which seem on the rise again.
I looked up every other change in my life recently, and this is the only one I can truly hold responsible for how I'm feeling. It's not awful but it sure isn't fun. Work stress is very high right now, so getting to sleep at a reasonable hour is important to me, and coupled with non-stop parties outside, it's been a nightmare (literally, broken sleep and nightmares mostly about work)...feeding into more anxiety!
For the record, my psych is happy I'm doing a bit better, and we joked "ok, it's on your record now, no benzos ever again for you." I'm glad he's not like past psychs who would keep pushing it, he's just happy when I'm stable (also why he's fine with me just being on the godsend known as lamictal, not pushing more). He knows literally everything about me, down to my lifelong struggles with alcohol. I'm over trying to trick doctors into what I think I need, and it's been life changing being 100% honest with someone, even when things go wrong. Take note fellow BP people :)
Thanks for listening, and I suppose all I'm asking for is:
- Is this (anxiety, panic, insomnia) likely from going through 2 weeks of klonopin in 1-1.5 weeks?
- Is it normal to experience a "second wave" of rebound after the first smooths out?
- How much longer of this decently unpleasant experience am I looking at? Another week?

2023.06.04 18:58 HeyImAJoe HeyImAJoe #26 Murder Mystery 2 (2023); #27 Pixels (2015)
The Challenge: 1/1/23 - 12/31/23
Murder Mystery 2 - Watched 4/8
My Tagline: A forgettable sequel to a forgettable original film
Synopsis from Letterboxd:
After starting their own detective agency, Nick and Audrey Spitz land a career-making case when their billionaire pal is kidnapped from his wedding. Thoughts: Adam Sandler, the king of Netlfix's dumb comedies, has come out with another one, this time a sequel. Say what you want about the Sandman, he does not often do sequels. When he makes a stinker comedy, it's an original stinker comedy. Murder Mystery was the highest rated and most watch of the Sandler Netflix comedies so of all the films I'm glad this was the sequel, but I wish he had made a sequel to one of his better comedies. But maybe we shouldn't tarnish his older films that actually hold up.
This film is forgettable. The orginal movie was superior, it was more about a murder mystery. And it had more heart between the leads, Aniston and Sandler. This one felt lazier. There are some funny parts, the best being Jillian Bell's character at the end. There is a meeting on a rooftop and suddenly Bell appears confessing a scheme of meeting her long lost lover after 10 years. It's random but that adds to the comedy of it. that scene added a half star to this rating alone. Overall I'd skip this one, like most of the Sandler Netflix comedies.
Rating: 2/5
Pixels - Watched 4/16
My Tagline: The film that killed Sandler's theater career.
Synopsis from Letterboxd:
Video game experts are recruited by the military to fight 1980s-era video game characters who’ve attacked New York. Thoughts: This film should have been amazing. Directed by Chris Columbus, from Home Alone and Harry Potter fame, the screenplay was on Hollywood's best available screenplay list for years, and Sony giving it a huge budget for special effects. Where could this go wrong? Starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James.... oof.
The Sandler style jokes are terrible in this film. He calls an old guy Gandalf.... get it? There is a ton of plot holes as well that I feel like could not have existed in the original script and it happened during the rewrite process. The characters are all one-note and most of the videogames mentioned just feel like references, not much else. Unless you are with a group of friends and you just want at a bad movie, skip this one.
Rating: 1.5/5
I rank every movie I watch throughout the year, you can see the full rankings on my Letterboxd including other rankings. One of those ranking is my Sandler ranking. Both of these did not do so hot, both falling to the bottom3rd of the list. I love Adam Sandler and I love to hate his films as well, and I hated Pixels so much it's being added to the bottom five list.

If I’m writing a story in third close, and i have a scene where none of the POV characters are present, is it ok to give a minor character a pov scene to show an important scene? Or is there another way i should tackle this? Also, this may happen 2-3 times in my story,m but with minor characters.

2023.06.04 18:53 HappySunshine498 Ganun lang ba talaga kadali mafall out of love
I just want to get this off my chest. Hindi ko nga rin maikwento sa family and friends ko so I am literally all alone, bawling my eyes out for 2 days na. Can’t eat. Can’t do anything kahit bumangon sa kama. I just can’t function well.
My ex bf and I have been on and off for about a year now. Push and pull daig pa kanta ni olivia rodigro. Although nagbeg ako nang sobra nung una, in the end, I finally let him go and nirespeto ko naman yung sinabi niya at nagpakalayo na lang. 5 days after, nagreach out ulit siya. Pwede ba raw kami magkita. Umokay kami and nagkabalikan ulit.
Ff last week, the day after na magdate kami, naging cold siya bigla. Okay naman kami (or so I thought). Tinanong ko siya for the last time if mahal pa rin niya ako pero I still got the same answer. Me, not wanting to lose him, I finally agreed na maging friends na lang kami kahit na on my part sobrang sakit. Now, I don’t know if tama ba yung ginawa ko.

2023.06.04 18:50 DirtyRickShow Am I being Mandela Effect-Ed?
I could have sworn when I was younger I saw an outtake or a behind the scenes that specifically said “we weren’t sure who we wanted to be the one to push Fry into the cryogenic machine so we made it a mixture of Nibbler and Bender so we could decide later.” Everybody I seem to say that to that has seen Futurama insists it’s always ONLY been Nibbler who pushed Fry into the machine on the first episode. I thought they even did a nod to that fact when Bender is talking to Nibbler about not pushing him into the machine when they’re back in 1999 together.
Do I have some kind of Mandela Effect going on? OG Futurama fans, it was eitheor originally of BendeNibbler, right? Am I wrong?

2023.06.04 18:49 two_under_three Is it time to stop using the co-sleeper and if so, what do I do?
I’m using the Halo Bassinest cosleeper next to/tucked above the side of our bed for my youngest who is 3 months + 2 weeks old. It says on the thing (the warning label) to “stop use when the child is showing signs of being able to pull up, rollover, push up or sit up unassisted, or is able to move out of the security of the walled sleep area.” My baby is starting to twist around in almost a full circle and she rolls onto her side (ending up sleeping on her side) but not her stomach yet. I know it’s only a matter of time before she will likely fit the description of this label but it’s been a little while since my oldest was this age so I forgot how long I have. I know time flies though so I’m thinking maybe better be safer than sorry and just stop using this thing but the problem is we are moving shortly so already packed up her crib into our storage unit (thinking was just easier to make room that way). My baby is exclusively breastfed right now and the night feedings are just easier with this kind of cosleeper attachment and also she likes it better than her crib. Any thoughts and suggestions welcome please. For my oldest, he cosleeped at night with a foldable bassinet that went in between us on the bed for a while then would sleep in this expensive Swedish minimalist triangular roofed bassinet that did not attach to the bed before coming into our bed between us without anything (which was dangerous, inconvenient, and annoying) but he was way worse with night feedings. Anyway I mention all this because I don’t want my daughter to have dysfunctional sleeping, wondering what I can do for her for now to feel more safe about where she sleeps while the crib is in storage.
