Hey guys, I've had this GA502IV for ~1.5 years and I've had issues with overheating, it's only recently that I've really bothered to search for a solution online
TL;DR, There was apparently mold inside the computer casing and thus warranty's gone. I've cleaned the fans, and I've removed the plastic covers. Drivers are up to date according to MyAsus Armoury Crate. My ArmouryCrate shows my CPU at 95C (Turbo) while the AMD Radeon shows it at 75C. I'm currently on Windows 11 and have a Chinese laptop fan cooling pads and a fan blowing above the laptop (there is literally no heat that I can feel when I touch it). Apex can barely run at 60 fps and constantly drops when I look around.
Alright, my laptop is basically fucked for warranty anyways so there's really no point. I kept my laptop in an area as dry as possible, lifted it off the ground & had a netting over it but when I went to get it checked for black lines on the monitor, they found mold on it so I guess it's GG for my warranty. If I remember correctly, back when I first got the laptop I could easily run Apex with stable ~100fps at medium settings but in recent times it's really taken a dive in performance. CPU temperatures look weird as Armoury crate constantly reports the CPU temp at ~15-20C more than AMD Radeon. CPU and GPU % Basically never hit 100%. I've recently cleaned out the fans and all that jazz, reapplied thermal paste and the black lines on the screen eventually fixed themselves.
I've removed the plastic covers directly below the fans to try to get the most out of the airflow. My laptop is plugged into a LG 34GL750-B Monitor but the resolution is set to 1920x1080 and there's no difference even when I unplug the monitor. I can't tell whether my laptop is just complete dogshit or if it's throttling due to Armoury Crate detecting CPU at 95C constantly and GPU at ~50C (Core Temp detects CPU at 95 as well)
And. just for the funny (not really), should I just completely bastardize the bottom of my laptop case? Cut the entire thing open where the fans and heat sinks are, and place a dust filter mesh over it?

I bought an angled stand for my ASUS TUF A17 Laptop to stand on, because I experienced thermal throttling quite frequently. Using the stand, however, leads to weird behaviour. No matter how I place my Laptop on it. My Computer's performance has insane drops, going from 120 fps to like 10, basically freezing, every minute after a while. I tried not angling the stand at all, basically having it in default position and placing it on spots where it shouldn't be pressuring anything in the interior of the laptop, but it remained the same.
I looked at task manager while this happens and it says that my CPU and GPU drop to almost 0% instantly and I also looked at Armoury Crate, which showed the fans exhibiting the same behaviour.
As soon as I take the stand away, everything returns to normal. Meaning I run into the problem of thermal throttling again, too.
Someone suggested it might have something to do with static, so I tried wrapping the simple metal stand I got in duct-tape. The problem still remained without change.

2023.06.04 08:42 MysteriousAmmo Anime Matrix Not Working After Windows Re-install
I've seen a couple posts on here about this issue but none of them seem to have solved it for me. The issues are as following: The anime matrix works and does it's normal stuff but the option to configure it in the armoury crate is missing, as it if were a non matrix model (it's a 2020 version). When I unplug it from power it gives me the warning that it's turning off the anime matrix to save power and that I can turn it back on in the armoury crate, option is still missing and clicking on the notification does nothing. Are there any known solutions for this?

I've been getting some strange issues with both the CPU and GPU fans in my F15. I noticed the machine had been overheating and shutting down randomly, and opening Armoury Crate the fans were showing running at 0 rpm (and temp close to 100 °C, hence the shutdowns).
I ran the fan diagnostic in MyAsus and it said there was an issue. So I removed the casing and checked there were no blockages in the fans (there weren't). Next, I restarted the machine and went into the BIOS. The fans started running! I put the bottom casing back on, and restarted and went into the BIOS again, and once more the fans were running (so it seems there's no problem with the chassis causing the issue). Running the MyAsus fan diagnostic it now appeared there were no issues.
What's happening is when my machine restarts, the fans work fine - however, after an unspecified amount of time after the machine has been running the fans just stop working! Possibly related - the keyboard lighting also starts "breathing" and the power led flashing, even when set to static.
Anybody experienced anything similar or have any ideas as to next steps?

I'm mainly a Traktor and Mixxx DJ user. My libraries are generally between those two DJ programs.
I've also used Rekordbox to create SD cards to use on CDJs; Rekordbox seems to be the only way I can prepare SD cards to be compatible with such devices.
I'm now tasked to use Serato DJ from a friend's laptop.
What's the best way to create a Serato Crate and have all my DJ tracks analyzed for Serato? Do I need to download Serato DJ lite to do all of this?
Is it possible to have a crate saved on my SD Card? That way when I plug the SD card to another laptop with Serato DJ, it'll show up.

If you are willing to use Linux on this device, I have tested it thoroughly 4 times,
1) Disable secure boot Or it will not let you install Linux
2)Disable intel rapid storage technology named as VMD in the Bios. Disable Before installing Windows 11 other wise it will not let you install Linux
3) It is not possible to use windows 10 on these devices because,
a) there is no Touchpad, Audio, Official Display driver developed for windows 10 by the providers.
b) Microsoft does not let the driver update system to access the drivers from their own server. for win 10. but it works fine on win 11
c) Microsoft may have paid Asus for disabling the touchpad and all pcie lane drivers from the bios it self if windows 10 is trying to be installed. Cause the touchpad works on bios, on win 11 ........... but does not work on win 10, and the pcie lane drivers all show missing
d) Microsoft may have paid intel for not developing VMD drivers for Linux so people are forced to use win 11. If you disable it then you are obliged to use lower ssd speed.
4) Each time if you would like to play video games you must go back to bios and turn on secure boot
5) The armoury crate also causes some trouble in win 10
I wasted a lot of time. So Now you are good to go. No win 10 support, Must Use win 11 , secure boot off, VMD off and then you can use Linux

Good afternoon, everyone, I have a weird issue. This morning, when I booted up my PC, my fan curve was reset.
However, the problem is that my chassis fan has changed. They are called connected via a Cooler Master fan hub, and previously were all liked on chassis fan 4. Max RPM 2000. But today they are under chassis fan 3, max RPM 1300.
This makes it very difficult to maintain positive pressure under any load. Any help or advice?

I installed ghelper and uninstalled armoury crate as an alternative and when I tried to play GTA 5 a couple hours later, my frames really really started dropping around 20-28.....(mind you, i was getting 100-110 frames yesterday) i uninstalled ghelper and started back up again armoury crate and it showed that GPU usage was 0% while the CPU was being used 100%..... I thought it was a driver problem, so i tried to install the latest nvidia drivers, it didn't recognise my gpu however and i didn't get past the compatibility check. What do I do?

I just want to know if anyone tried installing Windows 10 on it and compared the idle RAM usage with Crate and everything running against stock Windows 11.
I'd also love to know if Armoury Crate will end up receiving linux port at some point so it will be a good option to consider as well.
Just want to know, because I might actually use Ally as a work-setup as well.
