Hi,
Advice please, my 9 year old Shih Tzu mix developed a golf size lump in her sternum. I took her to the vet and they did an X-ray and bloodwork.
The vet wasn't sure what the lump was "as it looks to be part of the bone". Her bloodwork came back normal/ within range. My next step is a CT scan. I contacted a different vet for a 2nd opinion and they said the same thing.
My dog's activity level has declined but she is older and slightly overweight. Both vet's made it seem like it was nothing to be too concerned about and to continue to monitor for any changes.
I just don't understand how a lump that's part of the bone can just pop up like that. I took her for her annual exam and everything was normal, 2 weeks later she had this lump.
Should I take her in for a CT scan?

BE IT ENACTED by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Welsh Rate of Corporation Tax
(1) The Corporation Tax (Wales) Act 2020 is repealed in its entirety.
(2) Chapter 5 of the Government of Wales Act 2006 is omitted in its entirety.
2 Welsh Rate of Income Tax
(1) Section 6B of the Income Tax Act 2007 is omitted.
(2) Section 11B of the Income Tax Act 2007 is rewritten to read as follows—

(1) Income tax is charged at Welsh rates on the non-savings income of a Welsh taxpayer.(2) For the purposes of this section, “non-savings income” means income which is not savings income.(3) This section is subject to—section 13 (income charged at the dividend ordinary, upper and additional rates: individuals), andany provisions of the Income Tax Acts (apart from section 10) which provide for income of an individual to be charged at different rates of income tax in some circumstances.(6) Section 16 has effect for determining which part of a Welsh taxpayer’s income consists of savings income.

(3) In Section 13, paragraph 1 (b), omit “or the Welsh basic rate”

Deputy Speaker,
This is a rather simple bill. It reverses the devolution of corporation tax to Wales, passed three years ago by the Libertarian Party UK and PPUK. The government is of the belief that this devolution comes with a number of complications that make the devolution of corporation tax to be largely without benefit. Considering the sheer integration of Wales into the broader United Kingdom economy, Wales being even more dependent on trade and economic co-operation with England than Scotland is, the government believes that increasing corporation tax rates above the levels set in England creates a much more likely risk of capital flight within the UK market away from Wales than it would with Northern Ireland, which has the unique situation regarding the Irish border, something Wales does not have.
However, the Welsh government also realises that reserving corporation tax has a major impact on the ability of Wales to raise its own financial resources, and thus wishes for the full devolution of income tax in order to maintain the extent of its own fiscal abilities. By devolving income tax, we can also improve the ability of the Senedd Cymru to implement redistributionary policies through the implementation of taxes more progressive than those laid out by Westminster.
I am aware of the fact that this bill is in the end an awkward compromise. A compromise between Welsh goals for self-determinations and the realities of working within a UK-wide economic system. A compromise between those who are in favour of more devolution and those who oppose such an idea. Indeed, it is a compromise between my own convictions of an independent Wales and my belief in realistic policies that we can implement in practice. I’m not sure if everyone is, in the end, happy with this result; what I can hope is that we can all be content with it. Diolch.

So sorry for the layout or how this may be grammatically shit, I am on a mobile right now. I live in the Illinois/Chicagoland area. I recently got a new doctor (more on this in a moment), however my previous neurologist was with me a difficult 5+ years. I word it that way because in the first year and a half I saw the head of Neurology for this hospital- before he fired me (as a patient ) for not going to a clinic again. I had been through this clinic prior and did not receive help or treatment through them, but now as he would get a kickback for sending me through them, he refused to treat me unless I uprooted my life for a 6 week stay with them. When he fired me as a patient, at the time I have specific insurance and he and his partner were the only neurologists available to me. His partner (who was doing the majority of the treatments on me anyway) said he would take over being my doctor. Now for the remainder of the time with him, as well as his partner before, not once did they perform any CT or MRI on me to see the status of the part of me they were working on. Instead I was told the only continued treatments would be more where I was injected in painful areas with whatever trial treatment they were doing. Anytime I would bring up issues I was having with ANYTHING regarding my nerves, their response would fall into one of three categories- it’s because you’re fat (obese), a smoker, or a woman (hormonal issues stemming from my gender). These were literally the only responses. Their nurses would sit there and tell me how they do this to women all the time. This last year I left my company and started working a new job. This in turn changed my insurance provider and what doctors I would be seeing. The first thing after talking with my new doctor (neurologist) was to take an MRI of my neck to see if anything was stemming from my cervical spine. Long story short I was sent to a neurosurgeon who found a bad case of myopathy in my cervical spine. This type of myopathy has an estimated life expectancy of 10-15 years. In the last year and a half the issues I had expressed to my former doctor had become so bad I was going numb for hours at a time. I was told I needed surgery immediately to fix this issue (which I have now had). My family wants to know if there is a malpractice suit for inaction possible? Hi all, female/30. I know there’s been heaps of posts about this but I’m just after some general advice.
Been off work 2 months now due to bad back pain, unable to stand or sit for very long without extreme pain. I work in retail btw.
I’ve had X-rays, ct scans & mri. Basically I have scoliosis on upper and lower spine and bone spurs mid back. L5-S1 herniated disc with nerve compression, and annular tear on that same disc. Also mild facet arthropathy.
I’ve been seeing an osteo and physio weekly, have a spine specialist appointment in a few months and on no pain meds other than general ibuprofen /paracetamol which doesn’t even help. My dr just isn’t comfortable putting me on anything stronger even though I’m in intense pain constantly.
Is there any other alternative routes or things I can do to help alleviate the pain and get me semi back to normal? I’ve just been told keep doing what I’m doing and eventually it will heal but this is really affecting my mental health, and I’m out of all my leave entitlements for work so soon I’ll be on leave without pay.

I am a 27M 250lbs, have no medical issues, I take no drugs, do not smoke, occasionally have a rum and coke . Only medications I've taken is 200mg ibuprofen twice today to keep off inflammation and as pain med, also got what i believe was lidocaine as anesthesia today. I'm from Belize, Central America.
I don't know how to make this short. So thankyou in advance to everyone who replies and reads this. So I had an accident today. I was loading sheet metal sheets 28g (20' 8'') on a trailer with a coworker today. I didn't have any gloves with me. I do like to wear proper ppe when possible and available.
I live in Belize a third world country so not all gear is available or affordable here. Still not an excuse...
Anyways one of the sheets wasn't all the way forward on the trailer. So I grabbed the end to pull it forward, my coworker saw i was struggling and quickly pushed from the other end.
the sheet suddenly moves forward and i get no time to move my hand resulting in the sheet sliding forward suddenly and my left middle finger gets caught between the sheet and a bar at the end of the trailer.
I knew immediately that i would have a cut since i felt my bone stopped the sheet. Got a small deep laceration across the bottom of my finger. I immediately checked for movement in my finger and found the bottom segments moved but couldnt get the top segment (fingertip) to move.
Finger quickly turned slightly pale and felt a little numb settle in fast but I had full contact feeling everywhere. Went straight to the local clinic they did a great job stitching it up, got 3 stitches. They didnt seem to think any tendons were cut.
My finger has feeling in it but still has felt numb the entire day. happened at 930 this morning. My question is, is it even possible that the tendon is cut? With the cut being so low i thought the tendon would start further up? If i need to get the tendon reattached I'm planning to drive an hour to the city tomorrow to a hospital that i can trust and one that i trust to do quality work.
Do i need an x-ray or ct scan? I know a hospital 20min away that id trust to do the scans but not to cut and search for the tendon and reattach it. I'm also thinking with the whole area kinda numbed. I may just be paranoid. To me their in-action seemed to imply that i was mostly just being paranoid at the clinic. The nurse said she could barely get the head of her q-tip in the cut... but i know its my bone that stopped that sheet.
I'm not faulting the nurse in the least, she said I should wait and see once the anesthesia wore off and i gave it a day to heal. its been over 12hours and I still cant seem to move my fingertip. Is there any more info you need? I'll see if it works to add 2 photos in the comments, otherwise i may need to upload to imgur :-/.
