Maybe its me but can someone explain how on earth Russ was able to beat chaos Horus in Wolfsbane. Doesn't this make the fact he is supposed to face Sangy and Emps pointless. If Russ can defeat Horus the other 2 would curb stomp him. Maybe im missing something but this lore piece bothers me no end

I’ve tried a different sub but couldn’t figure out how to make my post work so I am trying it here.
I have tried to be as clear as I can without rambling so if it sounds insincere, that might be why.
This is written on my phone and I am not a native English speaker.
I (23NB, AFAB) met my best friend (22F) back when we were 4 and 5 thanks to our small public elementary school having mixed grades. While we didn’t click at first, our mothers befriending each other had us spent more time together and we quickly became best friends.
Around the time we were 7/8, her parents put her and her little sister in a religious elementary school and we only saw each other outside of school. Until then we were inseparable but after that I believe we started slowly growing apart. Regardless of this, she has been there for me during the worst moments of my life and supported me through them.
Whenever it’s just the two of us, it’s still like it used to be. We talk and have fun and I could tell her anything. But whenever someone else gets added into the mix, it’s like I’m a background character. And as an introvert, I can’t just butt in or something so I just stay quiet, smile and nod when I need to and wait until the person leaves or I can go home. She often invites me to go somewhere she was already going to and I don’t know if it’s because she wanted to spend some time or if she just doesn’t want to be alone. I am also usually the one that sends the first text and carries the conversation and at some point I just kinda stopped putting in so much effort.
I have also grown hesitant to tell her everything. I had to really test the waters so to speak before I had to guts to tell her that I like girls and I haven’t ever told her that I am non-binary.
I am going back forth between distancing myself from her and reaching out to hang put because I miss her. I’ve even spoken to her last summer about how I had trouble with some of her behavior, like what I mentioned above but also talking shit behind others’ backs towards me. I had hoped that it would get better and for a while it seemed to go well!
I (sorta naively?) lend her about €500 during that time because she needed it and I’ve slowly been getting it back bit by bit. She originally said she’d give it back to me as €50 a month but she missed two months now, “because of some trouble with the bank [which was true, but only lasted a day] and she simply forgot this month.” I don’t truly mind it because I know that I’ll get it back eventually, but it does irritate me because I know for a fact that she has that money, she just keeps spending it on who knows what.
I’ve tried to be hopeful that this can work out and I can keep the person who used to feel like a sister to me in my life, but yesterday I started to question if it was worth it at all. My mom and I were over to hang out with her and her mother (and her baby brother) and we went out to go to the grocery and retail stores near her with her brother. Out of nowhere she told me that this other girl was also coming, who in turn invited her mother and little sister? And I was basically ignored for the entire time they were there.
Once done we returned to her home and had dinner. I asked a few times if she’d like to go hang out in her room so we could actually talk, but she didn’t want to until much later. Once we were finally there, she showed me some gifts she was planning to give her colleagues once she quits and after that she was mostly on her phone, texting with her boyfriend.
I feel kinda immature about the entire idea of letting the friendship basically die out. As if I’m an attention seeker or something. But I just don’t like the person she has become. I know that growing apart is simply a part of life, but I also don’t to loose someone that is/was so important to me while growing up.
So basically, should I keep trying to salvage this or should I stop reaching out once I have my money back?
TLDR: my best friend and I have grown apart, should I fight for this friendship or let it go?

The feeling of never being quite good enough never goes away. It just transfers you back to a time where you were a 10 year old child wondering what you did wrong. What more could you have done to be deemed worthy. Being a third wheel in every single friendship group. Spending lunchtimes all alone whilst watching others with friends. That feeling never really went away. Its exhausting and so dehumanising at times. Being an afterthought most if not all your life. Trying so desperately to be worthy of love. But to no avail. Its lonely. Very lonely. As a child but also as an adult. You were never enough. Will you ever be? You wonder. You try to go above and beyond. Becoming a people pleaser. Avoiding boundaries like the plague. Letting folks walk all over you just for a morsel of companionship.
Constantly expecting to be ditched and dumped because someone better came along. Without fail. There is always someone better. No matter how hard you try. So replaceable and easily discarded. The feeling of longing never truly goes away. You stamp on it trying to suffocate it but you’ll always yearn for something you can never truly have.

Got a 760 and I spent 45 minutes taking the test including rating the test.
I studied for 3 weeks basically using the Stéphane Maarek PDF. Just read through it 4 times.
I did a Neal Davis practice exam with a co-worker and combined we got 85 percent
I did Stéphane Maarek practice exam which I got somewhere around 50 percent. I doubted some of the answers even being right. I would definitely not bother with these.
I took 3 Tutorial Dojo exams the first one time and the other 2 in review mode. I think the scores were 54,68, and 72. I can't stress how much I hated these tests. The questions are very difficult to read. And while I might have learned something taking them nothing I learned was on the exam. For example Guard Duty there were a bunch of questions on that on Dojo's tests. Nothing on the test. Question about how to pull 12000 message from FIFO queue on Dojo test nothing related to that on exam. Question on Dojo about if you promote a RDS instance in Multi AZ what happens. Nothing on test. If I could do something over I would not have taken these tests. They just stressed me out, Gave me headaches and made me hate studying.
On the real test the questions were easy to read. I would say there were 10 questions were very easy and were answered without any thought. Most of the rest were easy to narrow down to 2 choices. I think the only question I wasn't prepared for was the Kubernetes one. So I think Maarek's slides are great and the only thing other than Kubernetes related questions you would need to prepare for.
I got a question that answer was either GPS2 or GPS3. I know the answer was the second one of these mentioned in Maarek's slides. But I assumed he would mention GPS2 before GPS3. So I got that one wrong.
I am a developer with 25 years experience and have spent a year and a half in AWS as developer and migrated Oracle and NO-SQL database to the cloud.
I think I might do the database specialty next.

I baby sit two toddlers (almost 2 y/o) and every time I pick them up from daycare, they cry. The minute we start walking away with the stroller they stop crying and when we get home they are happy to play with me and wants to be picked up etc. But they have become sad when their parents have told them that I am picking them up that day.
How can I make them feel more comfortable with me and make pick ups less upsetting?:(

I lost my voice almost completely on day 4 of being covid positive. Otherwise I'm starting to feel a lot better.

I am a 24-year-old male, and I have had body image and self-esteem issues for as long as I can remember. Always a fat kid, some of my earliest memories are of my dad coming home from work to berate my appearance. A light punch to the stomach immediately followed up with words like "Fat"/"Ugly" or more specialized insults like "Fat Belly Jones" and "Pregnant Duck" would crush little four-year-old me. While the majority of it came from my dad, there is one conversation I had with my mom that is forever seared into my memory. I must have been around 6-years-old or so, my mom and I had gone to the grocery store and she was driving around the parking lot looking for a good spot when she decided to talk about my weight and why I needed to start losing some. And really, it all boiled down to this one sentence: "You know, women don't like it when guys are fat." Embarrassment, self-hatred, and confusion welled up in my mind, as it always did when my weight was brought up to me when I was young. I retorted some Disney fairytale-level bullshit about how it should be who I am as a person and not about what I look like. At first she agreed, but then said that personality isnt everything and that looks are very important, especially to women, and that fat men aren't attractive. At that point, what she was really saying to me finally clicked; that a woman could never love me so long as I was fat. Ultimately, I understand that my parents were trying to help me, but their methods had the opposite effect. I shut down, stopped talking to people besides family, and got stuck in a cycle of hating myself and overeating to cope. Due to all that, as a teenager I never really tried with girls. It wasn't until I was 18 that I lost my virginity to a prostitute, and it wasn't until I was 20 that I got my first and only girlfriend (which lasted about a year). It occurred to me today as I was driving home while I was thinking about what my mom had told me so many years ago, that a woman has never once complimented me on my appearance. Not in my entire life. Not my ex, not any of the few FWBs or one-night stands I've had since my ex, not any of my female friends that I've acquired as an adult, and not any of the women I talk to on Tinder. No one has ever called me handsome, told me they liked my eyes, smile, hair, or any other physical feature. I have never been told that I am attractive. The realization made me sad, depressed, and kick-started that cycle of self-hatred I have grown so accustomed to. It makes me feel like my mom was right. Sorry, I know that this was long, wordy, doesn't have a conclusion, and is not well-written. Honestly, I am not even sure if I am posting this to the correct subreddit. But even if this gets deleted or no one reads it, it felt good to type this all out instead of letting it stew in my head.

So a few days back there was a sort of catharsis to the entire Adani - Hindenberg debacle that happened and I had written a post explaining the story a few months back from then onwards after arguing with a bunch of people online and irl, a lot of people should not actively manage their portfolio, yeah mutual funds have a cost but 1% is still less than the potential 100 or more % . Emotions are poision in the free market and there is only one God in trading and the colour of that God is Green. Adani, sebi nor do any major fund houses really care about you, because it's their job not be act on their emotions but others.
That out of the way here is why Adani couldn't be charged to have commited anything legally wrong .
There is this idea in law that something may be ethically wrong however legally it may be permissible indirectly as there isn't any way to prove it goes against some law. And sadly the opposite could also be write.
On one hand something may be ethically wrong but legally okay. For instance a begger stealing bread to eat. While the punishment may be less than a person stealing to profit from it, it's still a punishment. It's clearly morally right but you can't codify that into law as then you will have to justify who is legally poor enough to allow them to commit crimes. This could lead to their potential abuse as similar to those begger mafia horror stories. Also there is this idea that someone's can change their financial status and so let's say someone commits a crime when he was poor, gets a decent income later on, is he now eligible for punishment . So theft regardless of who did it or for what reason is done, is legally wrong.
Also on the other hand a businessman may legally justify why he shouldn't pay taxes or certain as his capital is providing jobs and development. This is the case with the Tatas as essentially it's a massive trust fund that owns all the companies. While generally the tatas can be trusted to not be dicks, this exception can be argued it's against the law. However no one will really try to make any action because let it be for whatever reason, the tatas donation and presence has been a net benefit for the areas they have been in. It may be legally questionable but ethically okay.
The adani argument falls in the ethically wrong but legally ambiguous trap either because they genuinely could have exploited grey areas of the laws or Sebi wasn't able or didn't care to essentially do their job (as expected). Regulars aren't always essentially evil people in kahoots to trun a blind eye, it's just that people who generally are working in government roles all around the world prefer not to stir the boat top much for their own career development. It's quite possible post their government tenure they may be hired as a consultant for one of these private companies so why bite the hand that would feed you. Also out of the millions of aspirants who give government exams, how many of them are passionate to be a regulator. Job security but half the pay and none of the praise.
However the markets factor in regulatory incompetence into the equation and you are seeing how cruel a system that made you famous can be. While Adani is still better off than all of us combined, his wealth, reputation (atleast internationally) and strategic plans have worsen off. Like I said last time, of the rich and powerful lose money they will end up making life hell for you. Financial loss can break blood, what can a random businessman do. He has lost a lot of key projects. Yes some of his companies are and will do fine because of the nature of the business like power transmission and ports, however his plans to be the next tatas or reliance is really in the dumps at the moment with his future proofing keystones businesses like green energy in a serious situation. The market runs on trust and if you break that then it will not be kind. In a way he was already punished before the judgment came.
While I don't agree with the suggestion, it was kinda expected
Tldr-
Adani couldn't be charged with a crime because it couldn't be legally proven because of sebi's negligence . However the damage can be far greater than what a court sentence could prove.

I am a 3rd year student. My entire educational process substantiated the rationality of developing a mobile application as a graduation work of the university. My dream is to combine my favorite C++ and this task in one project. I could combine business with pleasure.
Is it a good idea to do this in MVS via OpenGL for example? Or would it be better to just write a Kotlin application and start doing something in C++ as a second project? What to choose as a second project to pump C ++ skills has not yet been chosen by me. But I wouldn't like to do something in a language that won't be related to C ++ in any way. Otherwise, I don’t know how to justify for myself the expediency of trying to do such work efficiently. What do you think?
