But hence you found me in my area of comfort, welcome to my humble abode. Would you like some tea? Maybe you fancy some Earl Grey.
Anyway anyway I'm starting to babble lol, if you're wondering what I'm here for, it's for talking to you, interesting person out there wherever may you be. Meeting new people and all it brings is something I love. Making friends this way is amazing so therefore I presented myself!
If details are something you're into hearing, i can give you lots:
-I have to refuel every day almost cuz I go through an entire tank in 2 days or less. Love driving around. (Had to get new shoes and take up running to reduce expenses)
-I'm a car mechanic, also a construction worker, carpenter and if patience blesses me on that day; a painter.
-What am I saving up for? Well it's big, pretty massive in fact. So massive i could write an entire letter about it... Huh... Would it be cheeky if I said you can ask about this in your message? Would be a good idea.
-Had to start running everywhere for transport which is fun, I also do cycling, practice jumps and tricks at the bike park and do motorcycle and karting races. (Other categories and car racing are a work in progress, will upgrade soon)
-Music taste: this is the part where you look at a bunch of hyperbabble about bands that don't make a lot of sense unless you heard them, but I'll just throw a buncha names and you can see if any of the following applies: Radiohead, Megadeth, Fishmans, Marillion, The Black Keys, Queens of The Stone Age, Buckethead, Alphaville, Dire Straits, Little River Band, David Bowie, XTC, UB40, Commodores, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Cure.
-Ultramegahyper car and motorcycles fan, but in the weirdest way possible. My dream cars are actually cheap french hot hatches like the 306 and a 90's Renault Clio. The car I'd get first no matter what is a 1998 Ford Focus. If possible the RS version. And as for motorcycles I want a Kawasaki ZXR, 80's style. Also love German cars, especially old BMW's, first one I'd get is an e32 with the M70 V12 engine. Also love old Volkswagens and Audis, without a doubt would own an 80's Audi with one of their 5 cylinder engines and turbocharge it. Also very fond of japanese cars and will own a Nissan in any form possible, especially the 350z
-Played almost every Need For Speed game that ever released, started my journey with the franchise through Underground, and played every release as they launched. (yes even Undercover, I actually enjoyed it). I listen to the soundtracks of old NFS games in my free time. Also played Midnight Club, Forza, Assetto Corsa, FlatOut, Burnout, BeamNG... I COULD KEEP GOING.
-Not everything in my life is about cars though, my day is dedicated to music too, especially playing piano. I'm also a guitar and bass player. And really want to get more sound gear and instruments in the future (Cars and music gear? I'll be broke all the time)
-I'm relatively organized, but living by myself has shown me that being the only person inside the house, I leave stuff around unless somebody visits. But while living with my parents I didn't make any mess anywhere so I'm not an absolute demon.
-Yes, living by myself also requires me to cook and I'm actually an amazing cook. I include lots of seasoning and veggies into the meals, even soy to balance things out and eggs for protein. Learned lots while being independent.
-Fun facts about me to end this: The amount of clothes I have in total is so small that i can wash them all in one washing machine load, the house machine size. I also have 3 different pillows around me at all times cuz I don't like laying on a flat surface. I listen to music even while showering. And I own a dog that requires me to feed her on a daily basis even though I beg her to feed off the sun.

Hi everyone, I am a Syrian male (27y) living and working as a software engineer in Dubai for the past two years
So recently I got a job seeker visa to Germany and I cannot make up my mind on what to choose.. Should I leave what I have built here in dubai from connections to relationships and very good salary (around AED 18,000, which is euros 4500 nontaxable) or should I go to Germany and start from zero there..
The main idea and what causes my confusion is my current nationality.. As a Syrian I am always limited in my travel and career and I cannot go back to my country because of the war and the fact that I have mandatory military service there.. So Germany can provide me with a citizenship after 7 years whereas UAE is not stable and can always lose your job and get kicked out of the country
I know that for thr future Germany makes more sense but still is really difficult to leave the good salary behind and dive into the unknown and take the risk there just for the sake of the citizenship
Please give me advice and I do hope anyone with similar experience reads this and helps me decide on what to do

Good afternoon, I don't know if you all follow the news, but it's a very scary time to be trans in America right now. I do not feel safe in my community, I do not feel happy where I live, and I want to immigrate to a place where I at least feel like I have a fighting chance. From what I understand from government resources, my best bet is the Quebec skilled workers program.
I am completely healthy apart from some mild carpal tunnel and depression, I have a 4 year degree in computer science and have two years of professional experience as a software engineer, I am fluent in English and teaching myself French (I know basic vocab and sentence structure/rules from HS but I am far from fluent), and I have no criminal record to speak of. My main concern is my lack of French fluency for going directly through the Quebec government, as I would like to apply ASAP. Would it make the most sense to go through there, or get EE to Canada in general and then seek habitation and employment in Quebec? I know that's possible but it makes things more difficult for migrants so I'd like to be as direct as I possibly can be, there's really no time to waste.
I have legal documentation of my current name and sex, healthy savings, and am getting records of my school credits. I am particularly keen on Montreal for the queer community and because I have friends already living there, one of whom has offered me a room for at least temporary habitation.
Any other advice you can offer about the immigration process would be greatly appreciated, thank you all.

Game releases 5/2017, and people on console realize quick match doesn't have dedicated servers like they advertised.
Only 5 months later, October, they come out and state they have to port the entire game to an updated unreal engine for console. The game will be fully ported to unreal April 2018 at the earliest. Has anyone else heard of a game needing to switch engines after release like this?
At the end of May 2018 the game releases with the updated engine. Not too much later than the targeted date, but we got minimal content during the wait. At least they can put this behind them and work on new stuff like Jason X content and the Paranoia mode they teased last October, while inching towards delivering on the promise of dedicated servers.
June 11, 2018. The fateful day that crushed all hopes of the continued content. Support and content updates had been sparse and there was laughably bad communication (remember the Soon TM meme?), but there was still hope that game would slowly improve and offer more content. Not anymore though, it was announced that the lawsuit will force the game to stop getting new content, and it will only recieve updates and fixes for what's already been released.
September 2018, consoles FINALLY get the dedicated servers that were promised before release, 16 months later. Its bittersweet that we can finally enjoy the game with dedicated servers while knowing the game will never be what we hoped it would be.
I had a lot of fun with the game, but it was playing catchup ever since the game released fixing game breaking bugs, crashes, lack of host migration, and lack of dedicated servers. By the time they almost fixed these issues it was too late. The lawsuit wasn't something they could've predicted, it was outside their control, but it was extremely disappointing. But the fact they had to port the game to an updated engine just for dedicated servers on console is the weirdest, and funniest in reteospect, part of this saga to me.
I wonder how the Texas Chainsaw Massacre game is gonna do..

What is the difference between a relationship with a narcissist and a rebound relationship?
I had a relationship that had almost every stage of narcissistic abuse (playing the victim, lovebombing, triangulation, gaslighting, playing hot and cold, devaluation, terrible discard, smear campaign), except hoovering!
However, if I believe what I heard from her at the time of the discard, she went back to her ex-husband allegedly for the sake of the children. If I take that into account, then I was just a comfort and a pit stop for her until her ex calms down! Rebound guy!
Then why was she divorcing him, why did she have relationship with me at all if her conscience only came to her senses now? How can she regret being with me only after 9 months? How can a mother of 3 children get into a relationship with another man if she will later regret hurting them and her ex-husband (aggressive narcissist)?
Is this doubt of mine the result of her manipulation and am I so sick after her mental and sexual abuse that I can't think rationally because of that?
So many triggers are around me! She is involved in every aspect of my life! Wherever I looked, whatever I grabbed, she was a part of it (I can't buy a new car, I can't change the city we both live in, I can't change all my clothes so quickly...)! It's almost impossible not to think of her, and she so brutally rejected me and drove me away!
Am I a victim of Narcissist abuse or was our relationship a mistake that could have cost her and her children dearly? This relationship has already cost me everything!!

Jesus Christ I feel like I am losing my mind. Please save me from Computer Hell.
probably important backstory for how I ended up here; I have a small, pretty basic (shitty) Intel core laptop. recently I realized that the built-in Microsoft Anti-Malware software has been constantly running in the background, and sapping up like 60% of my memory. Like, all at once I realized my PC lags and stutters when I game or even just have Discord VC open is quite literally all because of this Microsoftian parasite leeching my CPU. (confirmed through the fact i managed to turn it off and my pc was smooth as butter)
cut to approx. 3 hours ago today, Antimalware is back on & back to leeching off my CPU, except now, much like some type of bacterial parasite that develops immunity to modern medication, I can't turn this stupid bastard off. I've tried so many ways. SO MANY WAYS. Going into all Microsoft Defender files & desperately trying to kill this bloodsucking leech of an anti-virus. I try disabling it, deleting it, force-stopping, changing the decimal to 1 -- I restart again and again, and nothing works.
I restart one more time; after gone through the 5 stages of grief & landed on Acceptance — suddenly I'm trapped on the Windows login screen, stuck in the Pin erro"Search for app in the app store?" feedback loop. I was stuck in this for a while, until I rebooted my PC back to an earlier save from a few days ago, which seemingly fixed the problem and let me back in.
I'm so frustrated, so confused as to why i was able to disable it once but now unable to; frustrated that it feels like this Antimalware program is purposefully jacking up my PC... but I'm grateful im back in my PC, so i decide to cut my losses & just install a new anti-virus that Advanced Systemcare recommended cause I read that Antimalware can't compete with other downloaded anti-virus sofwares or something. like, just kind of trying anything to kill this bastard. At least a little bit. Now it's personal.
Thus began my descent into Microsoft Computer Hell;
I restart one more time after installation, and then my laptop bluescreens and tells me there's an issue with restarting. Automatic Repair doesn't work. Restarting just takes me back to the initial bluescreen, thus the loop. I've tried every advanced option and nothing works. I can't troubleshoot, I can't hard reset, I can't system restore, I can't startup repair. Nothing works. I'm just stumped, so far feverishly googling & watching YouTube tech clips hasn't helped at all; no solution I've found works. I am trapped in computer purgatory for trying to kill that damn Antimalware Service Executable that does nothing but leeches the memory from my PC like a summer tick.
sorry for the dramatics but I'm losing my MIND. Any advice is appreciated. Keeping my files would be optimal (I'm an artist and there's files I haven't backed up anywhere) but at this point I'm willing to do anything. Everytime I try to click "Reset this PC", both keep files and don't keep files options, I get told "There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made."
tldr; computer hell really sucks and I'm beefing with a Microsoft program :(
