Crate and barrel outlet vacaville

Pretty much the question in the title. To elaborate a bit, my barrel is pitted pretty roughly and I’d like to go ahead and put a new one on. My options I’ve narrowed down are,
Cheapest: New 4” army barrel.
Or, 6” navy barrel like the Mauser imports / Stoeger models.
Or, 6” navy barrel with navy sights. By far the most expensive option, but I’ve always wanted a navy shooter.
Has anybody around here ever rebarreled a Luger before and gone either of these routes? The 6” navy barrel by itself wouldn’t be all that much more expensive than the standard 4” army barrel, although adding a pair of navy sights would be an expensive money pit to fall down! For the record, the pistol was mismatched with a blank commercial toggle when I bought it, so given that it’s my range toy I don’t care all that much that I’m slowly replacing a lot of the original numbered parts.

I recently started learning rust. Started a little project, in which i want to capture MIDI signals from an external device. Found this library https://crates.io/crates/midir to handle MIDI connections. The "connect" api signature looks like this:

The documentation states that if i dont want to pass any data as the alst argument, it should be an empty tuple, just like in the example. In the examples given for the crate, this function is invoked with an closure like so:

Im trying to wrap this connection logic in my own function which receives a callback function with the same signature, and passes the function to the connect api like so:

New to guns here and learning a lot through videos and reading, but I have yet to find a clear answer on this.
I see comps being advertised as make and model specific all the time. Is this (mostly) just marketing? Can I take a comp for say, a p320 and put it on a Glock 19 assuming that the thread and caliber match? I'm aware the threaded barrel itself is specific to the gun.
Things I'm already aware of when mix and matching are that there might be too much/not enough space between the comp and the face of the gun, as well as model-specific comps being contoured to it to potentially fill a gap. I don't think of these things as deal breakers as long as at the end of the day I can screw the comp onto the barrel completely and most importantly use it safely.
So I suppose my question is, if it can screw on safely and the threading and caliber is correct, are there any safety issues with "mismatching" a comp to a gun? And if so, are there any (safety related/practical/non-aesthetic) concerns I've overlooked? I should add that I'm not concerned with holster availability at this time.

Some context:
So I volunteer for a young, scrappy nonprofit, and we’re throwing a fundraiser. We were unable to procur donated alcohol from any of the big stores or breweries (and we asked a ton).
So now we’re just looking to buy our beer from a big box store. The price would be about $2.53 per beer including all taxes.
I figure if we’re going to be buying beer anyway, we might as well buy from a small local brewery. My guess is that we can’t afford their full prices, but I am going to ask if they would consider selling us discounted or at-cost beer because we are a nonprofit. If it’s a bit more than big box store prices that’s fine because we have the added value of supporting a local business.
It’s very important to us that we forge positive relationships with community members, and that includes small businesses.
I’ve experienced “slash and burn” nonprofits that manage to burn bridges with local vendors because they ask for too much and are just very entitled about it: leaving donated event spaces unclean, not even thanking or acknowledging huge contributions via social media or thank you cards or phonecalls, even being too cheap to tip the delivery driver who’s dropping off cases of wine or crates of flowers.
It’s VERY important that we don’t develop that kind of reputation.
That said, I would like to approach them with some understanding of what it costs them including everything to make one beer: overhead, labor, marketing, materials and ingredients, buffer, etc. What’s the marginal cost per beer?
Also I’d like to know if they are still taking a loss even if they charge us.
It’s hard for me to know that, though, because I am not in the industry and know nothing about beer.
I know the responses will be a huge range, and I’m fine with that. Also feel free to share perspectives or any other information you deem pertinent, including if you think I’m approaching this in the wrong way.
Again, I’m not in the industry, so opinions are appreciated!

We rescued our love mutt in January of 2020 when she was 6 months old. She will be 4 in July and we have had her for her whole life basically.
She was a great dog to begin with. She didn’t mind other animals coming over, loved people and didn’t mind others in our house.
Flash forward to the past 2 years….she has attacked 7 dogs (4 family dogs and 3 friends dogs) dogs she’s been around and played with before she just randomly attacked out of nowhere one day. She has also bitten my brother in law to the point he had to have 2 visits to the ER to get the infection fixed and his finger fixed. She bit my husband randomly the other day which was out of the blue, she’s never been aggressive towards either of us. She has also growled and nipped at our little nieces and my step-daughter.
We’ve talked to trainers and with her bite history and her aggression, spending the thousands of dollars for training would just get her to obey us, but she would have to be crated and muzzled.
We are trying to start a family and all of this is just building up as we think about our future.
We were suggested behavioral euthanasia because with her background, rescues and shelters will not take her nor do we want to put another family at risk of anything happening…
I’m just struggling to make this decision because I love her with every ounce of my body and she helped me through sooo much and gave me a reason to wake up on so many days, she saved me and now I’m doing this to her?

If I increase the weight of the barrel and the stock would it decrease recoil as well as turn it into a melee weapon as need be? Hunt showdown style.

I’m wondering how peoples experiences were PCSing to Yokota, Kadena, ramstein, and mildenhall. I have the opportunity to put in for all bases there in a few weeks as a pilot.

1. Did most of you bring your US vehicles? I have an EV and not sure if I should bring it or buy a car there.
   
2. Will I have to buy an adapter for all the outlets in the house to fit the normal 120V and 240V items and appliances I have currently? I’m wondering if I can install a 240V outlet to charge my car faster than the standard 120V outlet can do.
   
3. As an officer PCSing, will I have the opportunity to live in base housing there? I have a family.
   
4. Would you recommend living on or off base?

I can’t even talk about my dog without moms getting offended or people assuming it’s because I want a baby. And then the STUPID questions come, “but who would you save, your DOG or my kid?” Well, mam, why aren’t you there to save your child and idk why you expect me to save both my dog (which I’m saving) AND your kid that you’re apparently unable to save? Stop with the dumb questions.
I have well over 10k invested in my dog (6k alone just for her raw food). I do this for my dog because her health is my responsibility. All of my dogs from my childhood died of cancer so I decided that wouldn’t happen to my current puppy. I quit my teaching job to be able to afford this for my dog (2k a month after 8yrs of experience was barely enough to pay rent). Now I’m a dancer - that’s right. I became a dancer in large part to give my dog a better life and the responsibility of having a puppy without anyone to help me because being crated all day is not a fair option and furthermore illegal in some countries. But lord forbid me talk about anything related to my dog. I can’t love my dog, I don’t know what it’s like to suffer financially, nothing without 1) offending a mom (because I can’t have these feelings without a baby) or 2) the stupid questions and assumptions about my pending motherhood.

Hi everyone! I have a small 10lb JRT/Dachsund/Chi mix (from embark) and she’s the light of my life. I’ve noticed recently though she’s been hiding under the shoe cabinet when I’m not at home. She has her own crate, can sleep on the bed, couch wherever when I’m not home and yet she chooses this maybe 6 inch spot that she has to worm herself into.
Should I be concerned? Everything else is normal but ever since we had some construction on the apt building I’ve noticed this behavior. I’m thinking of moving her crate into the closet to hopefully give her a space space that’s more comfy that the tiny hidey hole she’s created for herself.

Hi all! I’ve tried to do some research but couldn’t find much so maybe it’s not even possible but I was wondering if there was a way to power a tv wirelessly? So… not have to plug the tv to an outlet to power it up. I’m trying to mount my living room tv above my fireplace and needless to say, there’s not an outlet near by. The closest I’ve gotten to finding a solution is getting a super long power cord and then hiding said power cord using other methods. I’m not opposed to doing that but I figure there’s gotta be some easier way or neater way so that there’s not a bunch of wires running from my tv to the nearest outlet. Thanks for the input!
