So disclaimer, I'm only at chapter 80 or so in the manga (about 8 more to go or so), and haven't seen the LN.
Asking because the way the manga has been portrayed, he hasn't really demonstrated developing very much. In combat he still relies on his quagmire / stone cannon combo, and they haven't mentioned anything about him developing water magic higher than emperor, or any of his other magic to Saint level.
That being said, I do know he's been pretty preoccupied with helping nanahoshi, and with all the events that happened at school and such. But wondering since I know the manga skips some content from the LN.
From what I recall, I vaguely recall him developing:

• very basic holy magic in preparation for getting the haunted house.
• at some point I recall him studying barrier magic, but he's never used it.
• I think his healing is at intermediate last I heard. Which I think is the same as before he entered the university
• everything in "attacking magic" is still advanced, excluding Water which has saint-level. However it was stated he focused on developing his earth magic after realising how useful it was.
• if he doesnt hold back, and fully "powers-up" his stone cannon spell, the demon King said it was "as strong as imperial-rank magic" but regardless its still an "advanced" level spell at its roots.
• he developed disturb magic after the ostred confrontation
• no news about his demon eye, or if he can manage to use foresight farther than one second ahead
• I believe it was mentioned he learned some sword techniques from the other schools, but no news on if he's developed past intermediate-level. (also I'm aware he's held back since he can't use Toki"

For Light Novel only readers, I've heard the academy arc is volume 8 for reference, so I'm probably either at volume 8 or 9 in the story. I'm up to the part where rudeus married sylphie and bought a house, just after the demon king incident. Feel free to spoil anything in that rough time-span. But don't spoil anything significantly past this point (like saying what he can do at the end of the series or anything)

Hey y’all! 25M here. My journey with RAJ is not new. It has been very present in everyone of my serious relationships (4) including my current one. I have listened to videos, audiobooks and much more to try to help it but nothing seems to work. I have a (25F)gf and she is great everything I want in a partner. However her past haunts me. We met in middle school and throughout high school she would never give me the time of day. Not in a mean or narcissistic way, I just was an awkward teenage boy but I had a mad crush on her. Fast forward to about 2 years ago we rekindled and I took her on a date and the rest is history. We have been going steady for two years now. In those two years I have discovered her glorious college days. Her body count (20+) her drugs use which is more of a morals thing but I would still consider it RAJ. The mini movies pop up alot! She has been really great at explaining why she did the things she did and has tried to give me reassurance but as we all know this isn’t a her problem it is a me problem. Has anyone found any solid coping mechanisms that work for you? I appreciate all the advice and your time for reading this message. I really do love y’all because I know the pain and struggle RAJ is.

I have been a practicing archaeologist in the field of Cultural Resource Management for about the last 8 years and have done the full spectrum of shovel bumming but also have worked as a crew chief and am a project lead with experience with permits, report writing, budget writing, site evaluations, running projects, and data management. I have had a bit of experience in Belgium but most of my work experience has been in the western United States. Right now I am also working on my masters degree and will hopefully have it in about a year. My masters has a heavy focus on museum collection management, oral histories, artifact interpretation, descendant community collaboration and capacity building, and diaspora studies.
I am curious what job prospects are like in Germany for archaeology, heritage resource management, Cultural Resources Management, or museum collection/curation management? I am also working on my German so hope to have a decent proficiency in several years. My boyfriend (who is a German citizen) and myself (an American citizen) are planning to move to Germany in a few years after I get my masters. So trying to plan for the future and work on any skills that might be useful. Debating on going for a Ph.D in Germany too as there are several programs over there that I am very interested in and I figured it might helpful with future job prospects. Also of course gonna learn more about regional history and archaeology on my own time too cuz would want to have some contextual knowledge.

My daughter's dermatologist has recommended Accutane. I am concerned because she is so young and because she has a history of migraines and anxiety. There are also severe mental health issues on both parents' side of the family.
I took Accutane when I was 17, but it was only for 2 months (I moved states and just never bothered to set up treatment with a new derm). My daughter's derm wants her to take it for 6 months.
Am I worrying needlessly?
I would absolutely try this if it's truly a last resort but I'm not sure we know that yet. Her pediatrician suggested Differin, which was way too irritating for my daughter.
Her derm has already tried these treatments:

• A combo topical cream (Benzoyl peroxide w/ some antibiotic i can't remember). She had great success at first, then it stopped working.
• A tret cream she used in the morning, then a yellow topical foam she used at night. (Sorry, not helpful, but I can't remember the drug names.) Minimal improvement.
• Spirolactone (sp?) pills. Slight improvement at first, but then worse.
• The derm prescribed something that was outrageously expensive ($70/month) and not covered by insurance so we opted out.

Right now my daughter isn't using anything aside from a basic skincare routine. She's breaking out and she says the cystic acne is painful. Her derm said she can either try BCP or Accutane. My daughter doesn't want to take BCP and would prefer Accutane but I'm concerned about the Accutane considering her health history and family health history.
I'm considering getting a second opinion in case there's something else we haven't tried that might help. Or should we just bite the bullet and do Accutane?

I'm certain this has been discussed before, hell rule 34 states... ;) I know rare has said they won't make PvP-free zones, but hear me out a sec because I'm not really suggesting that entirely.
What if taverns had some games (gambling and drinking) and outposts had NPC guards/pirates who defended the outpost from "wanted" players?
First off, by "wanted" players, I mean that actions in an outpost which don't follow the pirate code generate wanted points. Say, a point for attacking someone, more for killing them, even more for killing the big bad bosses, uuuh, I mean guards lol. The more wanted points you had, the more said guards would hunt you down. The points cool down over time as you stay away from the outpost.
"But, but... I wanna pew pew people!" I hear some say, and for that I suggest these places have dueling systems. Player A slaps player B with a glove, and if player B accepts, they can start shooting after say 5 secs or something.
"But, but... what if the crew I'm chasing lands on the island with their goods? Then I can't kill them?!" Two options to this: 1) the "protected" zone starts a few meters into shore; and/or 2) ye can still blast the scallywags from yer ship with nary a punishment!
As a side note combining the last 2 "but, buts": I think you should totally be able to take things from another crews ship, they have no warning that you did it, but it gives them a pass to attack the thief. So if the theft is caught, the victim gets a pass. The thief, however, would still rack up those wanted points if they attack back (aka, better run!). Theft was/is one of those crimes that whole towns often turn on someone for, even pirates had strict codes against it. As the outposts function as a loose place of order, the pirate codes would be against theft on the islands.
The ultimate point of all this, is the heart of these havens, the tavern. In the tavern, we add a few gambling games, from card ones like blackjack, poker, and the very traditional cribbage, to dice games like liar's dice. There could also be drinking games (with rng chances on how long ya go until ye blow lol) and even games of skill, like dagger tossing. Those can all involve gambling too, as anyone who's studied pirate history knows, drinkin, carousing, and gambling (and enjoying the... "ladies of the night" but I get why that would be excluded hahaha) were all very common ways that pirates spent their hard earned loot. Imagine, losing a game of dice, flipping the table (which would end the game and forfeit the pot to the other player), challenging your opponent to a duel, and all hell breaks out between you in the street. Imagine playing music on the stage and watching that unfold to everyone's delight.
In conclusion: Rando PvP is still there, but it's fairly punished. Agreed upon PvP is fully allowed. Games and gambling in the taverns!
TL/DR: Following the logic of articles 2, 3, and 6 of the pirate code, I would really like to see some more fun, playful, non-paranoid moments in the game and think that regulated outposts with tavern games may be the key to making that sort of thing happen.

Hi, so a little context so I don't sound as horrible as I feel like I do.
I've known her for coming up to 7 years now, been dating for about 3. And a common topic we talk about is the matter of sex, mostly a joke mind you, because everyone has thought we've been doing each other for the past 7 years, I digress. However the other day it was different and more akin to a possible deal breaker between me and her.
I think it would be nice and would be great for her self esteem, physical health, and overall state of being. Along the fact that due to the fact that she's never gone that far, it's something akin to child not eating their vegetables at the dinner table. However I was mostly aware of this for a majority of our history so I respected her opinion and choices and am still willing to do so, I would do anything to keep this relationship together because I truly believe I love her so.
So what should I do? Push for it, pull back and find a life of abstinence? Or some third option that I can't quite see

My initial diagnosis was paranoid personality disorder, back when I was a teenager so before schizophrenia typically manifests (according to my medical records I had early "warning signs" like thought blocking/poverty of speech/word salad, intense depersonalization & being generally very withdrawn/isolative). Honestly, my memory of those years are very hazy but I've always been an extremely skittish/timid person.
I moved nearly 2 years ago to a different state and started seeing a new psychiatrist. Due to trauma from past psychiatrists, I'm generally wary of doctors, but I really feel comfortable with my current one (to the point where I still go to them despite being out of network with my new insurance). About a year ago (maybe more? Now 24, this was when I was 22 about to turn 23) I asked for a re-evaluation because on top of PPD, I also was diagnosed with bipolar several years ago and I felt that wasnt accurate because i never experienced mania or hypomania. I also started to have more auditory and visual hallucinations, I'd usually hear a crowd of voices (too many to know what they're saying), or a man with a transatlantic accent saying random words & numbers (sounding like a radio transmission from the 50s). I'd usually see huge spiders in my apartment, or shadows looking at me through the window. My paranoia also got to a point where I ended up locking myself in the bathroom and screaming in complete terror because I was convinced NY OMH agents were going to track me down on the other side of the country to take me away or inject me with drugs, I was so hysterical my husband had to break in & bearhug me to keep me from hurting myself from how much I was thrashing around. I fully believed my job at the time was pumping poisonous gas into the office to slowly kill me. I was at the point I made no sense whenever I spoke. There was a few times I'd be out in public and I'd think people were attacking me, I'd see them with knives or once when someone asked me for directions I instead heard threats of violence.
So, after discussing my past history, current symptoms, and worsening symptoms, my doctor agreed that he did not believe I had bipolar. He diagnosed me with schizophrenia. He increased my seroquel 600 mg and vraylar 1.5 mg. I was medication compliant for a while. And then I just stopped taking them. The seroquel made me so so dizzy. My limbs would feel so heavy, I have fallen before. At first it didnt, the 600 mg was working fine until it wasnt, and I feel like if I say "it was working then it wasnt" it will sound like a lie. I've already tried so many antipsychotics in the past, they all just make me feel so weak. Not as in exhausted, but head spinning dizziness. I think maybe it's that I've had the most luck with seroquel out of everything I've tried in the past, just for it to start giving me terrible side effects, that makes it harder to admit that it's not working because it's worked so well so why would there be an issue? I havent taken my medication (other than adderall, lunesta, and when needed xanax) in several months. But I havent had any hallucinations. I know it's wrong to be dishonest. Please dont mistake what I'm saying as me saying it's ok to do what I did, I know it's not. I just dont want to be terminated as a patient for being noncompliant and losing access to the other meds I'm on that I need to function. I did mention it was making me too tired and he lowered it to 300 mg 2 months ago. I've been breaking them in half to atleast try, but even that has been making my limbs feel 500 lbs heavier. I'm just so afraid of being caught in a lie. And I have been so much better, I feel like a completely different person than when first diagnosed, despite not taking all my meds. But my thoughts feel so disorganized. Especially at work, I try to keep my sentences coherent, and for the most part I'm able to get away with just sounding a little bit awkward, but I notice people sometimes have a hard time understanding me.
Now that I'm typing this out, I realize its silly to be nervous about bringing up trying a different medication. I just have felt that I'm doing fine since I feel safe. I've hadn't been hearing or seeing things. I dont feel like anything is after me, or that I'm in danger. I even started to doubt I had a problem at all, but I know that's not true even if I am much better, there still are a few traces of my diagnosis, and maybe it can hide for a long time and still be there. But the disorganized thinking is getting to me, trying to form words feels like trying to hold soup in my hands. The "positive" symptoms are pretty subsided, but the "negative" feels like they're consuming me.

The Witness upon speaking to a Vandal to convince it to be Taken says it won't be rebuked anymore. The Legends 2 description about the Nine says the Nine are aspects of Darkness. Which is what the Witness is. The Witness is an amalgation of voices. The Nine are Dark Matter made up of Space Dust. They are a collection of thoughts. The Witness being an alamgamation of the rebuked civilizations would be the collection of all their thoughts.

I got to meet her "sister" krys who I then realized was her cousin, she was passed out most of the time. This maybe a bit of an over the top assumption but I do believe that Moon thought that I was only interested in sexually objectifying her, which I would never do. When I mentioned that my mother is a professor in Medieval Theology, she frowned a little, which I think meant that she thinks that i'm wasting my time with her. The next time we met was also a bit strange because she had alot of anxiety that day and was drinking alot, I was a bit hyper myself and went on communist rants when having one too many trulys. Then I had to go because she was feeling sick after drinking too much. Moon was then drinking more and more to the point she was arrested by State Troopers and being back in contact with the fascist military fellow. I then was getting frustrated of why she was drinking herself away and why she wanted my friends over the next time we hungout. I was getting more suspicious so I took matters into my own hands and went STASI mode, what was really going on? I went through everything and realized she was arrested for a warrant, specifically for not showing up for the charge of 4th degree assault, which is a light charge and can be fixed but because she stopped caring about herself she says that the court will decide to jail her on the 20th of April. The only reason she even had a warrant was because she didn't appear in court, twice! This can be easily stopped because it can be paid off, she doesn't have to go to jail! I need to tell her father or something, I will find a way. She is such a good person and all I can do is run away. I can't move on from yuliya, I need to run from my past but I can't because my parents make sure that I don't leave without their permission because I need to be "safe" and all I could do was revert to my old ways and reactivate this sub, even with Moon. What we’re seeing with the Pyramids is the result of the Witness’ interaction with this force. It is the physical manifestation of experiencing the Darkness through the lens of the Witness’ history, culture, and ideas.
Outside of the Witness’ influence, the Darkness may take on a completely different form and be used for a completely different purpose.
Im going to dive deep on what exactly i think the Witness is but the short answer is its the First Knife. Before I do here's more supporting evidence of The Darkness being a neutral force:
The Darkness, or the being that speaks for it, claims that the extermination of all those who choose the Light is inevitable; that the universe will be inherited by morally impoverished advantage-seekers like the Vex and Hive. Logically, I cannot see an escape—
The being that speaks for it is the Witness. But the Darkness can speak for itself too.
They believe our gravest existential threat is the Hive, for those beings have made a pact with the Darkness itself via the medium of the Worm Gods (according to Toland, at least, and I see no reason to doubt him in this).
But Darkness is not merely absence of Light. Darkness is an entity unto itself. Put simply, Darkness is not Nothing.
Here it is further stated the Darkness is an entity unto itself.
I don’t know where the Darkness-which-is-the-Deep came from, nor the Traveler that I hunt. But I will learn. I will learn.
Oryx spoke with the Darkness. Learned how to Take from the Witness.
Darkness helps us avoid death. It helps us to go on existing. It is necessary. We must remember what hurt us so that we will not be hurt again.
But Darkness alone points to an eternal existence of mere survival—to a universe where the only judge of a good existence is the ability to go on existing. The Darkness and Light are explained as necessary forces.

The Darkness aka the Winnower explains that it became a rule in the game which is it explaining how it turned into a force that can be wielded and used.

The Pattern of the Vex aka the Vex
But they are not incontrovertibly destined to rule this cosmos. They were made before Light and Darkness, but the rules are different now, and even this pattern must adapt.

The Darkness. Which was the Deep confirms that it spoke with Oryx. It refers to Oryx as "my man". Indicating the two spoke further solidifying the fact the Darkness is an entity unto itself. And or the fact it is also a force of nature that has its own belief. It is altogether neutral.*
But some of them have, nonetheless, found their way home.
The Sol Divisive. I'll explain about them as further proof of the Witness and Darkness being different.

The pathways lie dull against granite. No power runs through them, not since the Heart stopped beating. But the Vex of the Sol Divisive have programmed themselves to worship the Darkness. It has given them power before. And the Vex understand time: what has happened before is, somewhere, still always happening. What will happen is happening now.
The Sol Divisive originally worshipped Darkness which is why it created the Black Heart. It was an imitation of the Veil. The Veil is a paracausal weapon.
