TO
Expand free school meals to all students in Wales regardless of parental income and make provision for free school meals to be provided during school holidays.
be enacted by the Senedd Cymru and having received the assent of His Majesty, it is enacted as follows
Section 1 - Definitions
(1) A student shall refer to any child studying full time between key stage 1 to 3 or nursery.
(2) A place of education shall refer to primary schools and secondary/comprehensive schools along with schools with integrated nursery.
(3) A free meal shall be defined as a meal provided by a place of education for students that is provided without charge of the student or parent.
Section 2 - Providing Meals
(1) Every student who is in attendance on a school day must be provided with a free school meal by their place of education.

i. Students who wish to not have a meal by their own choice may not take a meal.

(2) Places of education may not collect funds from parents/guardians nor students as compensation for the free meals provided to students.
(3) Places of education must ensure these free school meals are to a satisfactory and nutritional value.
(4) Food that has been prepared but not used will be given to local charities that are dealing with homeless people.
(5) A school must take into account the allergies, medical intolerances, and other dietary requirements of a student and provide alternatives.
(6) A school must be able to provide halal, kosher and other foods that comply with religious beliefs, for its students.
(7) A school must always provide a Vegan option for its students.
Section 3 - Holiday Provision for School Meals
(1) Free school meals will be provided during school holidays to students who’s parents or guardians are eligible for the following benefits:

i. Universal Credit II. Child Tax Credit III. The guaranteed element of Pension Credit IV. Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance V. Income-based Employment and Support Allowance VI. Income Support VII. Support under section VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 VIII. Any successor benefit to the above

(2) The relevant local authority shall decide the method of the meal allocation during school holidays.
Section 4 - Government Funding & Usage of Funds
(1) The Welsh Government must allocate appropriate funding for free school meals for schools across Wales
(2) Any money not used will be handed back to the Government.
(3) This money shall not be used for anything else other than funding the free school meals and ensuring provision of such.
Section 5 - Commencement & Short Title
(1) This bill shall come into force on the 1st August 2023.
(2) This bill may be cited as the Free School Meals Expansion Act 2023.

Schools are where some of the most important lessons are learned, many key skills are learnt in early education and the understanding of these subjects will determine if a student can understand more complex subjects later on in life so again these core parts of the Education system are important.
That is why no child in Wales should go hungry even after they've started secondary/comprehensive school, this is where key skills such as numeracy, important grammatical distinctions (for both English and Welsh) are taught. More importantly this is when GCSEs are sat and these exams are sat, determining some peoples futures.
Many studies have shown education is less effective when students haven't eaten and therefore hungry students have a poorer standard of education. That is why I am proud to present this bill as it will put everyone on a level playing field and ensure everyone has a full stomach when they sit their exams next summer.
This bill will also let parents have some rest during a more and more expensive time as it is one less meal they have to pay for, this will help the ones most hit in life and this will give parents that before wouldn't have qualified for free school meals the extra change they need to get by, equalising society even out of the classroom. The cost of this is relatively quite small with the cost being under 180 Million pounds by 2026 with it starting off at just over 160 Million for the 2024 school year.
I urge all members to vote for this bill as we ensure that disadvantages such as poverty that affect children are minimised during their GCSE studies, ensuring that they can get the best grades they can and prepare themselves for a better future, one where no child's stomach is empty.

So I finally bit the bullet and got a personal trainer. It’s been a month of hardcore strength training and I can feel my body becoming stronger AND I can see muscle gains. I’ve lost 7lbs total in one month. My trainer keeps saying “2.5-3 pounds is what is expected in a routine like this.”
Meanwhile I’m celebrating myself privately because 7lbs in one month is HUGE to me. And losing 1-2lbs a week is what literature says is normal too. I haven’t been able to lose weight even when I was going to Orangetheory.
It’s just frustrating when you’re lifting, eating right AND losing weight and someone is telling you “that’s not enough”
What can I say to my trainer (who identifies as male) to help him understand despite what I’ve already said to him: -I have insulin resistance -losing weight is a slow process for me -7lbs in one month is a big deal
I just wanted to vent and hear your thoughts. Those of you who are also on a weight loss journey, how much weight were you losing weekly? I have a low glycemic index diet and weigh everything. I’m looking at my macros and staying within my calorie intake of 1500.

Reality check: nVidia promised +13.3% performance between 3060Ti & 4060Ti at 1080p (but partly with ray-tracing and DLSS2). In reality, the average of 1080p benchmarks is +11.6% at raster and +13.4% at ray-tracing. AMD promised +29% performance between Radeon RX 6600 and 7600 at 1080p (again, partly with ray-tracing). In reality, the average of 1080p benchmarks is +26.6% at raster and +31.2% at ray-tracing.
Review conclusion: Stagnation at high price levels and low performance/price increases are manifesting in ever larger parts of the Ada/RDNA3 generation.

Salve . Questo è il mio primo post su reddit quindi scusate se sbaglio qualcosa.
Volevo chiedere se qualcuno sapesse come sono normalmente le selezioni di Unibo riguardo economia .
Mi spiego meglio . Nella prima selezione ho fatto 24,50 non riuscendo ad entrare ad economia aziendale in Unibo.
Invece oggi rifacendo il tolc-e ho fatto un punteggio di 27,75 che nella prima graduatoria per economia aziendale è al posto 78-83 su 147 persone .
Il problema che mi sorge è se riuscirò o no ad entrare nella seconda selezione dato che i posti disponibili nella seconda sono solamente 73 rispetto ai 147 delle prima.

I just finished reading the books up to volume 5 part 3 and asked myself how many times the word "book" came up in the series so far. So i decided to look exactly that up and made a small table. I chose common words and names like Myne (without Rozemyne), Rozemyne, Ferdinand, Lutz, Ehrenfest, library and lastly any word that includes "book", so including words like bookworm, books or bookshelf.

Some interesting things one might notice by looking at this:
Myne/Rozemyne is not the name mentioned the most, which makes sense since this book series is mostly in first person from her perspective. Her name comes up a bit more often in books with a lot of side stories. From Part 4 Volume 6 onwards its basically only Rozemyne left with few mentions of Myne.
For the Lutz fans: Lutz is the name from this list and therefore very likely also the overall name in the series which comes up the most often in any single Bookworm book with 807 times in Part 1 Volume 2. He also just barely manages to hold on having his name mentioned at least once per book in Part 4 but in Part 5 so far he has only been mentioned once.
On the other side Ferdinand has been more or less increasingly been mentioned with Part 4 Volume 9 being the highest for him, which does make a lot of sense considering the contents of the volume.
I thought it would be interesting to include Ehrenfest into this. It was first mentioned in the very first book and drastically increased once we got to the royal academy.
Lastly the words book and library have been mentioned a ton of times as well and even though it was slightly less than i anticipated there is no doubt that Rozemyne does in fact love books.

Since I bought a house last year I've been trying to adhere to the conventional wisdom of getting three quotes from tradesmen before getting repairs done that cost more than a few hundred pounds.
However I haven't had much luck getting responses from reputable tradesmen at all, let alone quotes from three different tradesmen, even for major jobs. In the meantime my house is in a state of disrepair and nothing is getting done at all.

I recently realised I wasn't eating enough (between 500 and 800 calories a day) and it was probably what was causing the plateau in my weightless (2 weeks with no loss, almost gained a pound) I'm trying to eat 1,200 a day now and have increased my exercise, is this all I need to do to get back on track? I'm worried I've messed up my metabolism.
