Haven’t seen many examples of tattoo removal with my skin tone. Hopefully this will encourage Fitzgerald V and VI to begin the process if you’re on the fence. I’m hopeful that I’ll continue seeing good fading/progress. Tattoo is 10yrs old, it had some scaring and was dense. I go to Removery every 8 weeks and plan to space out further for future sessions. Haven’t had any hypo or hyper pigmentation issues and skin heals well after each session. My tech is amazing and has experience with darker skin.

2023.06.09 03:44 -Hezekiah I have joined the club, can I learn the secret handshake now? Tools question.
| TL;DR Just purchased my first Land Rover (2011 Land Rover LR4 HSE Lux 5.0L), need to replace my rad fan and clutch. What size fan clutch wrench does my specific model need? I have not managed to find a mechanics manual for her yet, so I am a bit in the dark on working on her in some ways. Happy to join the club! This is the my short but eventful tale so far as a new Landy owner titled, “Smells like Stockholm Syndrome is in the Air” I just purchased a 2011 Land Rover LR4 HSE Lux from a local shop. I have been looking for a while so I was already willing to take anything that looked to be in decent shape frame, body, and interior-wise as long as there were no major known issues with the mechanical aspects of it. Couple that with the fact that I have been swamped at work and could only make it to the dealership just before closing; let’s just say my inspection and test drive were less rigorous than I normally do for a used car. <—— (Can you smell the foreshadowing here?) I drove the hour or so to get home from the dealer in bliss. She drove so smooth and I was amazed at how tight everything seemed to be on a car from 2011. I heard no rattling from the engine no matter how much I played and punched at the throttle so hoping the timing chain guides have already been done or at least will give me some time before I need to climb into the engine bay to replace them. In fact the only thing I saw wrong in my quick inspection at the dealer was a slight weep on the driver side valve cover seal which I had them knock some off the price figuring I would handle that myself to save some cash. All was right with the world as I pulled into my driveway, cast a glance back at my new ride, and went in to eat dinner and chill for a bit. 2 hours later… I head out to my new car, manual in hand to connect my phone and get familiar with everything. This is where things fell apart… First, as I sat there with the engine off but power on, going through my manual, etc I got a “low battery” warning. Seemed odd, but I have seen this before if you leave a car sit with the power on but no engine running. Next, I press the ignition button to start her up and get that alternator working… She tries, but just doesn’t have the juice to start. No problems at the dealer at all (of course). I try a couple more times and that is when she throws me a “low coolant” warning. I look underneath and sure enough there is a small puddle. Opened the bonnet and sure enough, no coolant in the coolant bottle. I closed her up and went inside because at that point I just had no more “ducks” to give since it had already been a long day anyway. A day or so later, I load up some coolant, and boost her to life. Did some tests on the battery and she was around 11.1-11.8 volts sitting cold and dark, and with the engine at idle she was giving me about 14.6 volts. So, I had a bad battery that I replaced but at least the alternator seemed to test okay. Just got her back from my eurocar specialist mechanic because I just don’t have the time at the moment to find the leak and fix everything. They charged me 1700 to replace the thermostat, water pump, some hoses, gaskets, and a drive belt. Which based on what my research showed was not a bad price. He also told me that she was throwing a code because my fan clutch was basically all but dead. And so with that sad beginning, I have only gotten about 90 minutes total behind the wheel since I bought her a few weeks back. Here is hoping things get a bit less exciting for a least a month or two. :rofl For those of you that read all of this, I am sorry for it being so long, but felt it was worth sharing my hazing to join the “Landy” club. :P I will say for a 3 owner vehicle, she had a great maintenance history for her first 2 owners, with the third doing the bare minimum and I think it shows. But, once I get these few issues out of the way, she really is a dream in almost every other way. he says staring at his captor with hope in his eyes So, my question is in the TL;DR above if you haven’t read that yet… I look forward to learning more about working on her myself and will share my plans for her (hint, overland refit is in the plans this is my shocked face) later on. Cheers! https://preview.redd.it/hb0doigjew4b1.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=157a4059c9ef52ef209f70a35395c6bc34f55c5d submitted by -Hezekiah to LandRover [link] [comments] |

2023.06.09 03:43 capybaracapybaras Do you think it's worth it to study a 3D Master nowadays?
Hi there, a begginer 3D artist here. I just finished my degree in audiovisuals where we did 3D and I felt in love with it. I even joined a 3D Art, Animation and VFX that's starting this september. But, as I've seen AI going to fast that it's even creating 3D models by a promt, I was wondering if you actually think it's still worthy to study it because it costs 8.500$ and I already payed 500$ but I don't want to lose that money for nothing. Thank you.

2023.06.09 03:38 writing101566 Take it how you want
This write doesn't have to be read, listened to or talked about, it doesn't need to be publicly displayed who wrote it even, this write is the jumbles of words written by an author poured upon a page. This writing may be for someone who needs to hear that someone else can understand their pain or maybe for someone else to read so they can understand someone they care about. This writing can be laughed at, made fun of, or looked at by whoever views it. Isn't that the beautiful thing about writing? Someone can take it to heart, throw it to shreds or laugh at it except they don't know who wrote it hiding behind broken words and grammar. So as I said, take this write by whatever message you believe is meant to be heard, you're the reader and here I am just the author not telling you what to believe but letting you decide your perception of the text.
Remember being eight years old or maybe you don't remember those days, but at least the age of adolescence? In my days I can say I don't remember much, just the little things that linger with my heart that makes me feel a little bit of a child still . Or maybe you're reading this from a grade 6th view or younger and you're at the stage I was when I was your age, to be young again I'm jealous of you. When I look back to when I was young I can most definitely say some things will stay with me forever. When i was in elementary school we used to be the young love lookers ( basically we didn't know what relationships were but we sure tried, well i didn't but others did). I remember we used to have these big beautiful spruce trees, they towered over our front of our school and whenever someone had a crush on someone and they wanted to make it “official” we would hold weddings at lunch gather whoever we could get, watch them exchange vows and give a peck on the cheek underneath the trees. I remember always being so jealous also because I never got to be the flower girl . I wanted someone to have a crush on me and marry me but it never worked out in my favor, maybe it will for you or maybe it's not like that anymore. I know I can remember the first time I had a crush. It was like kindergarten or something and I fell for a dreamboat but sadly nothing came to be.. When I hit the 3 or 4th grade I finally decided to stop hiding and fight my own battles of crushes. There was this boy and i remember I liked him alot, so i decided to tell his girl best friend well… she wasn't too pleased to hear this and when she found out she admitted that she had a crush on him and told me he was all hers, lets just say i got chased to the bus by her and cried myself home. Now let me tell you that definitely wasn't the last heartbreak i was gonna experience but i definitely thought it was. Not a very good happily ever after to my story but maybe yours went to plan. When I was in elementary school I had friends and was known to be a good girl. I went to class, dressed as any young adolescent should dress and always had the healthy snacks in my lunch (except sometimes I traded for the better ones ). I can remember going to scholastic book fairs since kindergarten those were the best, i remember always being jealous of the other kids because they would get the cool cell phone erasers and stuff and all i would get was a novel book, and then everyone would use them in class and i would be the one stuck with a book. I don't know if you remember these books but dork diaries of a girl were one of my books, I used to always want a high school life like her even though hers didn't really go to plan and the boys in it were so dreamy, but unfortunately it went nothing like that but we will get to that later on. It's sad for me to look back and see how much I not only wish I could relive but how much I would change about me. I remember that when I was in elementary school I had a friend group. All of us girls were inseparable, except the one time we all planned to go into the talent show. We ended up doing it two years in a row, the first year didn't really go to plan.. We auditioned to sing the iCarly theme song in front of the whole school, now if you know iCarly i give you full praise because that was my childhood, back to the story we got in and the day we decided to perform in front of everyone, no one showed up and guess who ended up doing it infront of the whole school sounding like a weasel getting hit by a hammer and a seagull squawking at the same time.. Yep it was me who definitely got over the stage fright after that but also learned that i don't sing. Don't take this as a no to singing, it wasn't my talent but if you can sing, I encourage you to sing your heart out and just know I will be one person cheering you on, knowing you achieved your dreams. I had a good elementary life, it taught us how to be young, free spirited, and how to meet people and friends. I learned things that I know my kids can't learn because school is different now but if they could I would wish the world for that. The best memories were definitely in school and the bad ones too but isn't that how life is? I remember gym class as well, that was the most fun we had. We had these little square scooters we used to roll around on being pulled by pool noodles until someone would bash into a wall or a person, or parachute day! Taking the full class and going underneath a parachute playing cat and mouse or making a big mushroom house, those memories I hope you can relate to me on. Those were the memories I can remember and cherish in heart, remembering the good times and the bad times combined. When i got to middle school or junior high as we called it things didn't get much easier, if you're reading this and your still young or your in middle school i can say that the dreams of high school and growing up can be fun but it's not all rainbows and butterflies as we see in movies. I remember being in grade six, i went through a pretty bad year of trying to find new friends especially being put in a new school, it wasn't easy putting myself out there and i can say i didn't have just one friend, i tried to be friendly to everyone but i wasn't popular and i wasn't fully liked because i was nerdy. It doesn't get easier, especially being an adult, we lose our friends from highschool, life and we meet new people, but I can say don't lose hope because this world is filled with a billion people and there's friends to meet out there. In grade six I met people and I thought they were my rock and my world, my lifeline until I realized they weren't bringing my lifeline up but instead cutting it and giving me a different one. I'll get into this more down the line but I can say that these people may have made me happy and gave me friends but in the end I lost someone who I will never be able to get back, yes i needed to grow up but i wasn't changed for the better. I learnt a lot in grade six, not as much as my highschool and col;ege years but I learned how to be a popular girl. Looking back now I can say I wish I never did. If you're reading this and you really wanna know what it's like to truly be the definition people may call as “popular” i'll tell you, because i wish i knew what it was before i involved myself in it. As a girl who never was liked i can say it came with benefits but the downsides overruled by far. People finally knew me and who I was. I could walk down the hall and people would smile at me and say my name and hi. I was invited to do things at lunch and got to hang out with the cool kids. I met “boys” and they actually talked to me. I know it all sounds wonderful but did I say I was also made fun of on a daily basis? Not everyone will always like you and that's okay, people may have their own opinions but I was made fun of and called names and all it did was drag me down as an individual at the same time I was being dragged up. I lost someone that sadly I will never be able to get back. I started to slowly lose myself and go down hill when I was in grade 6. I lost a close family member of mine which I had never experienced before. I didn't really know who to turn to and I felt sad knowing I lost someone that was close to me. When I was young I went to church groups a couple times with my friends. I remember I went to one church once a long time ago and they showed us a video of learning about god and it was a kangaroo. I wasn't introduced to what religion was until I was about 8 or 9, we will get to this more down the path of this write. Finishing elementary school was easy, I met people, enjoyed my years as an adolescent and then eventually moved onto high school, which I can say didn't get much easier for me. I went to highschool and in the beginning I didn't know what I was getting myself into until it was too late to go back. If you've experienced high school your year could have been better or worse than mine, and i can say i didn't have it as bad as most but i can say if i could i wish i could change it. I went to a brand new highschool, mixed with people i knew and also people i didn't. My first year of highschool wasn't terrible, I had my same friends as grade 6 and we were still inseparable and everything wasn't too bad. When I got to grade 10 everything started to go downhill, grades started to slip because I was in the wrong crowd , with the wrong people and doing the wrong things. I started to become more “popular” and one of the cool girls in school, wearing slutty crop tops everyday and short tops (let me just say yes some people thought it was “hot” but most classified me as a skank and a slut so it wasnt honestly very worth it). I started to think i was gaining so much in life especially with boys starting to like “me” but then i realized it wasn't me they were liking at all they were liking someone i was pretending to be, someone who i was not. The rest of my highschool did not get any easier. I got into a bad place after my twelfth grade and lost myself again. Surrounded myself with parties and bad people that made me into someone I wasn't. After I had months of struggling from a broken heart and going on a rampage of losing self identity I came to the realization that I had to change. I don't know why you're reading this but if you ever have felt depressed or suicidal i know how it feels, i went through it every day for months standing on the edge of a bridge looking down at the ground but everytime i turned away. I don't know what stopped me, maybe it was me or maybe it was something much more. When i was going through this bad moment of my life i started going to church and youth group to become a christian, i guess you don't know who i am but many would be shocked to know this, i prayed a lot for wisdom and i prayed that one day i would understand why i was going through all these life lessons of heartbreak and pain. I'm not a very religious person but I have my belfies, and trust me I'm not trying to preach to you in any way, just telling my side and you can take and leave what you want. When I lost my uncle it was a heartbreaking time for me but the little things that happened held my heart and faith together. My family went to a psychic and as she wrote on paper so much she could see she told us that when we planted yellow roses in the garden that exactly 13 or 14 would grow ( i can't remember exactly the number ) but exactly that many did. I believe there's something out there, I'm still working on myself, I'm not completely saved and right now i'm definitely losing myself more than ever before. I prayed for things and to this day I still do because right now there's things I don't understand , and it's hard for me too. I fell in love with someone at an unexpected time of healing and heartbreak, I lost myself and met someone I dreamt about in dreams and the movies I watched. It was like fate, or maybe it was sent from god I don't know, but what I do know is relationships are definitely not like what you see in movies. My relationship is full of humor and love, goofiness and passion, but also has its differences and that's what makes us human. When I was young I always told myself I would never change into someone else for someone else, and I would never change someone else for me. I knew that I would be the one to create communication which would be the only thing to bring differences together and come to an understanding. When i was young i read a documentary it told me how we fall in love with three people in our life, the first is young love, the second is the challenging love where we learn and the third is the true love, now if this is true i would love to see pigs fly, i followed this documentary and believed it and now i can say if this is my last relationship it's definitely not ice cream and rainbows. Relationships come with challenges and as a couple you need to work through them to achieve something. Months ago I got into a relationship. It came out of nowhere and it was so beautiful, the amazing connection we shared and the love that grew over time. Now I can tell you after the honeymoon phase it doesn't get easier it gets harder especially being an adult, if you're in a high school relationship I'm jealous because adult relationships are way harder. When you're in an adult relationship you have the struggles of work and the future on the line, relationships can turn into serious things and in a relationship you have to think if you really wanna be with this person for life. I'm an adult, still kind of a teenager at heart but i had to grow up , i know that who i'm with in a relationship right now i want to marry and yes i do make big oopsies in this relationship too ( if your a adult reading this you know what word i really mean). I can be a bad person in a relationship that I definitely make oopsies in alot, I overthink all the time and it doesn't make my relationship any easier. It only makes things worse and sometimes its honestly something that takes time to work on. I'm not a relationship expert, especially not in my own relationship but I can say that communication is one of the biggest things. I never knew what a relationship was until i experienced my current one and yes i suck at it but i'm learning slowly everyday. As a teenager we are learning into our years as a adolescence to grow up, and im not all that mature yet im pretty dumb and im not the smartest peach but im trying. I may feel like im sinking slowly right now with the stress that surrounds me, but i can know that im not alone and one day things will get easier. I was in a tough place before and to this day im still healing and if it was because of the support and being saved by god, my boyfriend, my family and friends or even me, thank you. I dont know the purpose of this write or where the ending resolution truly was, but isnt that the beauty of writing, someone could read this and banish me or maybe understand my true feelings and fears. My fears of being loved, of being hurt, my fears of taking up a religion because im putting myself into something that can be scary, changing me. Well maybe this wont be the end forever but this write has come to the end.

Its sulfur content, ash web content, and nitrogen material are much less than those of coal, oil, and so on, and also no carbon dioxide exhausts. It is an environmentally friendly as well as tidy power and delights in the credibility of " eco-friendly coal". https://preview.redd.it/h4a936y7cw4b1.jpg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a57c307699995ba896fda5c04f3c9c96f5c8d310 Affordable and also high included value:. The price of use is a lot lower than that of oil power. It is a tidy power that replaces oil strongly supported by the state, as well as has a broad market room. The thickness increases as well as the storage space and transport are convenient:. The formed fuel by biomass pellet mill is little in quantity, big in particular gravity as well as high in density, which is convenient for handling, conversion, storage space, transportation and also continual use. High effectiveness and power conserving:. High calorific value, 2.5 ~ 3 kg of wood pellet fuel calorific value amounts 1 kg of diesel calorific value, however the cost is less than half of diesel, and also the fatigue price can reach greater than 98%. Wide application and also solid applicability:. The pellet gas made by biomass pellet mill can be widely used in industrial and agricultural production, power generation, heating, central heating boiler heating, food preparation, and also it is suitable for system families. ( 2) Application extent of biomass fuel:. Instead of traditional diesel, hefty oil, natural gas, coal and also other petrochemical energy sources, it can be utilized as fuel for thermal power tools such as central heating boilers, drying equipment, and also home heating heaters. The pellets made from timber resources have a reduced calorific value of 4300 ~ 4500 kcal/kg. ( 3) What is the calorific worth of biomass gas pellets? For example:. all kinds of yearn (Korean yearn, white yearn, sycamore pine, fir, etc), difficult miscellaneous timber (oak, catalpa, elm, etc) is 4300 kcal/kg;. Soft assorted timber (poplar, birch, fir, and so on) is 4000 kcal/kg. The low calorific value of straw pellets is 3000 ~ 3500 kcal/kg. Bean stalk, cotton stalk, peanut covering, and so on 3600 kcal/kg;. Corn stalk, rape stalk, and so on 3300 kcal/kg;. Wheat straw is 3200 kcal/kg;. Potato straw is 3100 kcal/kg;. Rice straw is 3000 kcal/kg. Related post: bagasse pellet mill 2. Biomass pellet mill is "carbon neutral tool". The EU is the first area on the planet to commit to low-carbon development. It has reached its carbon optimal as well as is relocating in the direction of carbon nonpartisanship. Its experience is worth picking up from. The EU's GDP accounts for 22.54% of the globe's overall, power usage make up 8%, and also carbon emissions account for 8.79% in the very same period. To achieve carbon neutrality in the power system, biomass-based renewable energy is used instead of fossil power. Judging from the general power structure of the 27 EU countries, biomass power make up 65% of renewable energy; from the point of view of carbon emission decrease, biomass power represent 43%, rating initially. The factor: Biomass energy made by biomass pellet mill is chemical power and also the only eco-friendly fuel that can be stored as well as moved. Dealing with diversified and also multi-period heating demands, biomass gas from the biofuel pellet equipment can be flexibly completely satisfied, and biomass resources are abundant as well as distributed. It is extensively used as well as affordable, and also it is more affordable than fossil power for heating. As an example, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland in north Europe have developed a affordable biomass energy sector chain based on a wide variety of farming as well as forestry wastes, and have actually become the biggest proportion of the energy market. https://preview.redd.it/tmxj5ul8cw4b1.jpg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bafb6e0511d2bf8d965097952b8abad836aa412e Biomass energy made by biomass pellet mill works with existing fossil energy infrastructure. For example, the six 660MW coal-fired systems of Drax, the biggest coal-fired nuclear power plant in the UK, are all converted to biomass to accomplish no carbon exhausts and also acquire substantial carbon emission decrease advantages; biomass energy is the only renewable energy selection that can totally replace fossil energy. It can not just meet the needs of the three significant energy terminals, power, electricity and heat, but additionally produce bio-based products to replace petroleum-based materials, which can not be attained by other renewable energy sources. 3. Development Fad of Biomass Gas Pellet Market. ( 1) Recently, the number of pellet cpus buying biomass pellet mill has raised. ( 2) The biomass pellet mill has actually kept a quick growth trend, and also there should be a large market space in the future. Collecting pertinent details, we discovered that from 2010 to 2013, the ordinary yearly sales of biomass pellet equipments increased from 228 million yuan to 1.985 billion yuan. Ships in all parts of the country, gradually creating an commercial chain advantage. submitted by richi-carmen to pelletmachinery [link] [comments] |
2023.06.09 03:32 puffiez Marriage, betrayal, and entering 2nd trimester
Tl;dr I am a dumbass and intentionally got pregnant because I wanted to feel what my husband wanted. Unemployment, mental health challenges, and online infidelity.
I am in my late thirties and was a fence sitter for most of my life. My husband has always been very motivated to have a family. After a few months of couples therapy and feeling good about the relationship, we started trying and after a few short months have conceived.
This has been a rocky few months for me. I started to feel off well before knowing I was pregnant, and when I saw the positive test (all 8 of them) I sobbed. I figured it was just shock and would get better.
My mental health has been completely rattled since pregnancy. I am no stranger to therapy or psychiatric medication. In a panic I scheduled appointments with two psychiatrists who both (re) diagnosed me with bipolar. This time I know I have to find the right medication. None of the healthy coping mechanisms I worked YEARS to develop have been working. It's very scary.
Now to my husband....he has been unemployed for over 6 months. The job market is tough, and I've tried to be patient and understanding. But admittedly the past few months of pregnancy have been dark ones for me and have definitely been compounded by a feeling of financial insecurity.
Here is where things get embarrassing. My husband and I have not slept in the same bed since I got pregnant. Earlier in our relationship I found out (during a protracted period of unemployment, again) he had been actively messaging girls on Kik, porn chicks on Reddit, and sending x rated messages to girls in exchange for money. I was heartbroken, made it very clear that two way communication and solicitation was cheating and betrayal for me, and he convinced me it would never happen again.
You know where this is going....
For the first time in years I decided to go through his phone, and I found the same shit. Kik messages, reddit messages, sex accounts, money payments, and selfies of himself IN THE FUTURE BEDROOM OF OUR INFANT. He is into fetish shit and custom pictures/ chats with online sex workers.
I admit this pregnancy has been hard - and I have had a few moments where I was excited - but I am mostly sacred and depressed. I am so worried I am going to create another dysfunctional family like the one I grew up in if I keep the baby.
I am so confused because every other day feels so different with my husband. During our worst fights he has ridiculed me for being mentally unstable, incapable of being a good mother, I embarrass him in front of his family, I am defective, etc. Then the next moment he is showering me with apologies, gifts, and saccharine love shit.
I hate myself for getting myself into this mess, ignoring my intuition, and being irresponsible. Fortunately in my state second term abortions are still legal. I am very pro choice but abortion feels different at this stage of pregnancy and I'm scared.
I feel so broken and lost. On the one hand he hasn't physically cheated on me, but he has shattered boundaries that are scared to me. And getting a divorce and splitting our assets just sounds like so much work as an exhausted, pregnant person.
I very much want to schedule an abortion ASAP and I'm also worried I will have regrets. I should mention o have had 2 abortions previously in my 20s, but they were very very early term and never planned. Please help me reason through the best options reddit.

Yo
I have some folders I need to move. Not interested in trades at this point. All knives come with a box/stuff. I'll ship USPS the following day of sale.
I will honor comments in this post first before private messages.
TIMESTAMP #1 &&
TIMESTAMP #2 - American Bladeworks Model 1 v6 - $150: I've had this for a little bit now. It gets carried and occasionally might open a box or something. I've not done any major work with it. More pocket carry than anything. Green canvas micarta scales. S35VN steel. Factory edge that I've maintained on a strop loaded with diamond compound. Confident deployment. I have not disassembled the knife so no tuning to make it drop shut. I am the first owner.
- Ferrum Forge Knifeworks Mini Archbishop - $60: This little guy came to me a couple months ago. Designed by FFKW and produced by WE. Steel is Nitro-V in just under 1/8" stock. Action is snappy. Does not drop shut. Feels nice in the hand when using the choil - not sure I'd ever hold it any other way aside from pinch grip. I've carried it a couple times and maybe opened some mail? First owner.
- Spyderco Carribean - $150: I got this recently in a trade. It's actually a wonderful knife. Just A.) a little too large for my preference in a folder, and B.) I know I'll basically never carry it. Pretty thin stock LC200N. Snappy action. Typical Spyderco quality. Second owner, I believe.
- Tactile Knife Co. Bexar - $165: Recently acquited my desired slipjoint so I likely won't be carrying this little guy. I bought this on release. SUPER thin stock Magnacut. Not the thinnest bte but the geometry is good. The video isn't going to really show the walk/talk well. I'd say it's a solid 5-6 pull? Nice and light. Milling feels great.
If there are any questions or whatever just hit me up.
I'm on EST timezone so I'll respond accordingly.
Cheers

2023.06.09 03:25 je_veux_sentir CBA puts odds of a recession in 2023 at 50%
From their release today
We downgrade our economic forecasts following the change of RBA call
■ We forecast GDP growth to be 0.7%/yr at Q4 23 and 1.9%/yr at Q4 24.
■ Broadly flat real household consumption over the remainder of 2023 sits at the heart of our forecasts for the economy to grow significantly below trend and be in a per‑capita recession for the remainder of this year.
■ We put the odds of a recession in 2023 at 50% as the lagged impact of the RBA’s rate increases continues to drain the cash flow of households that carry debt.
■ We expect the annual rate of inflation to decline to 3.8% by late 2023 (our forecast is for underlying inflation to be 3.6%/yr in Q4 23).
■ We expect the unemployment rate to grind higher over 2023 to end the year at 4.4% and to be 4.7% by mid‑2024.
■ Our economic forecasts are conditional on one final 25bp increase in the cash rate in Q3 23 for a peak this cycle of 4.35%. They are also conditional on 125bp of policy easing in 2024.
■ Monetary policy is now deeply restrictive, which means by definition the economy will slow materially from here. A recap of our updated RBA call
Earlier this week we updated our RBA call in light of the 25bp rate hike at the June Board meeting, RBA Governor Lowe’s speech today and the Q1 23 national accounts.
We now expect one further 25bp increase in the cash rate for a peak of 4.35% and see it most likely at the August Board meeting. The risk is a 25bp rate hike earlier in July. There is also a risk of 25bp rate rises in both July and August, which would take the cash rate to 4.6%.
We also pushed out the timing of the start of rate cuts from Q4 23 to Q1 24 – we expect 125bp of easing in 2024 (50bp of rate cuts in Q1 24 and 25bp of easing in each of Q2 24, Q3 24 and Q4 24, which would take the cash rate to 3.10% at end 2024).
See here for our detailed note on our updated RBA call.
Our updated RBA call means that we have downgraded our assessment of the economic outlook.
Tighter monetary policy means weaker economic growth
Previously we expected GDP growth to slow to 0.9%/yr in Q4 23. That forecast was conditional on a peak in the cash rate of 3.85%.
As a result of our change in RBA call we have downgraded our forecast for GDP growth to 0.7%/yr in Q4 23.
With annual population growth expected to be ~2.0% in 2023, we expect Australia to be in a per‑capita recession over the year (recall that per‑capita GDP growth was negative in Q1 23 – see here).
Household consumption grew by just 0.2% in Q1 23. But the detail highlighted the current tough period for many households.
Growth in essential spending increased over the quarter (1.1%), while discretionary spending fell by 1.0%. It is no wonder consumer sentiment is sitting in the doldrums. We expect consumer sentiment, as measured by the Westpac/MI survey, to sink further in June when the data is published next week (13/6).
Our expectation is that real household consumption is essentially flat over the rest of 2023. Against a backdrop of 2.0%/yr population growth that implies a solid negative fall in consumption per capita. Indeed it would not surprise us to see a quarter or two of negative growth in total household consumption.
Monetary policy works with a lag. Only around half of the RBA’s already delivered 400bps of policy tightening have hit the household sector. As the lagged impact of rate rises continues to hit home borrowers mortgage repayments will rise to a record high as a share of household income (see facing chart). This will have a negative impact on household consumption.
Nominal income growth will continue to be supported by wages growth, which we expect will lift to 3.9%/yr in Q3 23. But this will not be enough to offset the ongoing drag on the consumer from rising mortgage repayments.
An expectation that rental inflation will continue to lift will also hit the large number of households that rent. While rents are effectively a transfer payment within the household sector, many investors will be faced with higher mortgage repayments. So a good chunk of the money transferred from tenants to landlords will exit the household sector (note that the Government also taxes rent as it is considered income to the landlord).
What about the savings?
A large stock of savings were accrued during the pandemic. But the savings were not distributed evenly. As the facing chart shows, the bulk of the savings amassed during the pandemic sit within the older cohort of society.
We do not expect this demographic to draw down on their savings swiftly. Rather they are likely to spend these savings in a protracted way over many years. The upshot is that we do not anticipate a speedy injection of the accrued savings back into the economy.
Households as a collective tend to draw down on savings when they are feeling positive about the economic outlook. That is not the case right now. The anxiety being felt in the household sector as a whole is showing up in very weak readings of consumer sentiment – historically consistent with a major negative economic shock or recession.
The savings rate fell to a below‑average 3.7% in Q1 23. It can fall further. Based on our forecast profile for household consumption and household disposable income, we expect the savings rate will hit a floor of ~2.5% in H2 23.
Weaker growth means higher unemployment
Our downgraded assessment of economic growth means we mechanically upwardly revise our forecast for the unemployment rate. We see the unemployment rate increasing to 4.4% by end‑2023.
It is likely that measured productivity growth will stay weak over coming quarters as there is a lag between slowing economic activity and rising unemployment.
Initially firms will keep workers on the books as demand slows. This weighs on measured output per hour worked. Output (i.e. production) slows faster than the demand for inputs (i.e. labour). So productivity remains weak and unit labour costs stay elevated for a period of time. But this dynamic does not last indefinitely.
Once demand has slowed for a sufficient period of time some firms will respond by decreasing the hours they require their staff to work. A reduction in headcount also occurs. This is expected to happen in the discretionary parts of the economy where spending is forecast to contract. These outcomes are being engineered by restrictive monetary policy in order to drop the rate of inflation.
1Business investment still looks good
The most recent capex survey was a decent one. Investment intentions were firmer than we anticipated. But not all strong data is bad data just because the objective is to drop inflation. Indeed firmer capex plans should be welcomed.
Business investment lifts capital deepening (where the capital per worker is increasing in the economy). This improves productivity (output per hour worked). There has been a lot of focus lately on weak productivity in the economy. So firming capex intentions are good. The RBA wants to see productivity rise. And higher investment is an ingredient required to lift productivity. In the long run business investment is disinflationary as the productive side of the economy is expanding. It also makes sense to have a decent investment outlook given annual population growth is 2%.
Our home price call is unchanged
According to CoreLogic, Australian property prices rose for a third consecutive month in May. The 1.4% increase in the 8 capital city benchmark index over the month followed a 0.7% increase in April and a 0.8% lift in March (see here).
The turnaround in property prices over the last three months has been nothing short of remarkable given the RBA has continued to lift the cash rate over that period.
In April we upgraded our home price forecasts. Our point forecast is for home prices to lift by 3% in 2023 and a further 5% rise in 2024. We have not changed this forecast despite the change in our RBA call.
The RBA recently cited home prices as feeding into their decision to lift the cash rate “services price inflation is proving persistent here and overseas, and the recent data on inflation, wages and housing prices were higher than had been factored into the forecasts. Given this shift in risks and the already fairly drawn‑out return of inflation to target, the Board judged that a further increase in interest rates was warranted.” (our emphasis in bold).
But the RBA is facing an uphill battle to change the outlook for home prices by lifting the cash rate as monetary policy tightening is behind the big drop in building approvals.
Further rate hikes reduce borrower capacity, which should by itself put downward pressure on home prices. But rate hikes also decrease the rate at which new homes will be built. This further exacerbates the mismatch between the underlying demand for housing and supply. The circularity here means we do not think our change of RBA call for a higher terminal rate alters the outlook for home prices.
There is light at the end of the tunnel
Readers may feel like there is a pessimistic tone to this note. That is understandable. Economists don’t take pleasure in downgrading the outlook for economic growth and upwardly revising their forecasts for unemployment. But there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Once the proverbial ‘inflation dragon’ is slayed monetary policy will be able to move away from a deeply restrictive setting to a more neutral one. Rate relief will arrive to the household sector in the future and we expect that to happen in early 2024.
As interest rates are cut it will free up cash for those borrowers that have a mortgage. And the demand for credit will begin to lift. As this happens economic momentum will start to pick up and the upward trend in the unemployment rate will wane. Consumer sentiment and spending will lift.
Our expectation is that the unemployment rate will peak at 4.7% in mid‑2024 before grinding back down to 4.5% in late‑2024. This is below the pre‑pandemic level of ~5.0%.
Ultimately we will not be able to hold onto all of the gains we made in employment over the pandemic. And the RBA readily acknowledges this as they see some lift in the unemployment rate as a necessary condition to return inflation to target.
But if we end up with inflation back to target, unemployment at ~4.5% and wages growth at ~3.5% by the end of 2024 then Australia will have done a lot better over the period ahead than many other economies.
There are risks of course in both directions. And the economic data coupled with the decisions of the RBA Board over coming months will give us a better sense of the balance of these risks.
Our full suite of economic forecasts will be in the Weekly Perspective today.

2023.06.09 03:07 CheekyLando88 A comprehensive guide to milk the Dead Money vending machines for all they're worth
Dead Money features multiple characters obsessed with the Sierra Madre. I too, have become engrossed with its wonders. Today I'm going to tell you all about my favorite one. The Sierra Madre vending machine.
The machines exchange SM chips for a multitude of items. Most importantly, it sells you stimpacks and weapon repair kits. Stims are obviously important but why repair kits? We can just make them right? Sure. A few dozen. But if you exploit the machine this way, you can get hundreds.
Collect, fix and sell every weapon you pick up. Doing so will add up to way more than all the Gold Bars in a playthrough.
So let's get started.
- Dead Money starts in the Abandoned BOS bunker East of Novac. The bunker consists of stairs leading to a hallway with one broken tunnel on the right, one open tunnel on the left and a radio straight ahead. The radio at the end of the hall will start the DLC if you get too close. Go down the left hall and hack the Average terminal to enter Elijah's hideout. There is a small mailbox opposite the terminal. There is also a Sierra Madre vending machine inside the hideout. You can use this before and after DM. This is also my usual player house.
- Starting as early as you can, gather cigarette packs and cartons in the Mojave. Although you can exchange them for Sierra Madre chips before you start the DLC, they will not come with you. But it's good to get into the habit and build up a stash for later.
- The vending machines start with very basic recipes like foodstuffs and Doctors Bags. In order to get better options you must gather all the holotapes of recipes you want. So stimpacks, weapon repair kits, .357s etc. You will most likely need the wiki for this. I know the wiki sucks, I'm sorry.
https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Vending_machine_code - As early as you can, start collecting Fission Batteries and Scrap metal. This can be used at a workbench to make 50 chips with 1FB/2SM. The recipe is given to you by one of the NPCs who join you in the Madre heist. Her name is Christine, be nice to her. Two skills checks of 6 perception and intelligence are required for her to give you the recipe.
- The most important thing you must do is Gamble at the Sierra Madre. If you win 7,500 caps at the Madre you will get rewarded with a "complimentary voucher". These can be redeemed at the vending machines for 1,000 chips. Now remember the mailbox opposite the terminal in the BOS bunker? One Complimentary Voucher and 100 chips will be sent there every 3 days. Both items will always send, but you can't use the Voucher without winning 7,500 chips. You can win up to 10,000 chips before being kicked out. I recommend blackjack. If your luck is low. Save scum. Its limited by a timer to stop this, but it's absolutely worth it.
- Complete the DLC however you please and return to the Mojave. Feel free to DM me if you're super stuck. Wait a few days and collect those vouchers baby.
- The Gold Bar wiki offers a good list of vendors with deep pockets. All vendors restock Sunday and Wednesdays. Except the Comissary in Lonesome Road. It has 6,000 caps and resets when you exit the vendor menu. You can exploit this to make thousands if you have alot of weapons saved up and the Long Haul perk.
https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Gold_bar_(Dead_Money) - Now I know a few people are gonna say "well shit Lando I already finished Dead Money"
I have good news. Even if you don't get the 7,500, the mailbox will still get 100 chips every three days. The vouchers will be useless. Cartons of cigarettes are worth 20 chips and packs are worth 5. You can also exchange a few clothing items for 2-4 chips each. You'll most likely have picked up that holo and the one for stims just playing DM naturally. The one for weapon repair kits is kinda hard to find, I'm sorry. Hopefully you can use this exploit on that cowboy build you're gonna do one day.
Feel free to add anything or tell me if I got anything wrong!
May this help all of you in your relentless cleansing of the Mojave

2023.06.09 03:06 minor-feelings My ex was supportive, sweet, funny and seemed very secure until the breakup
My ex boyfriend and I started off incredibly strong and he consistently showed me care, affection and effort for at least 3 months of our 6 month relationship. The last three felt a little inconsistent but I felt like we just had to get through it because his work schedule has become unbearable. One night, completely out of nowhere, he told me he was worried about our future and gave me very narrow reasons that still don’t sit right with me. He cried (very unusual for him), struggled to leave and then openly doubted the reasons he gave me for leaving. It’s been nearly two months and I haven’t heard from him since.
Before him, my previous exes were all avoidant and it’s been sobering to realize so was he. He may have leaned secure or even tried to model secure behavior but I got too close and when it came down to it, he ran. There were signs he didn’t necessarily have a lot of space in his life for a relationship but he tried so damn hard, juggled me with a move to a new city and a new job. We talked about these things. And I could feel his love. In the end, do we just avoid people who exhibit yellow flags entirely? Especially when the flags are overwhelmingly green? Even when people make us a feel safe and loved?
