2023.05.29 10:44 Elceuntas New Valorant player here! I need some feedback about my routine and learning method
At first, my english is a work in progress.
This is my first time in FPS and, therefore, in Valorant. After watching some videos I understand that this game could be split into:
- Aim
- Movement
- Gamesense
Meanwhile gamesense is obtained by studying VODs, getting experience, etc. Good Aim + movement is made with a good routine, avoiding the rest of the factors and practicing exclusively t his points in order to get "muscle memory" and internalise the fundaments. Given this, I made this routine (I would not prefer to use aimlab, but if you guys recommended me will take a look), taking into consideration that I would only practice around 15-30 minutes:
- Raw aim (static)
- Flickering (static)
- Strafing without aiming
- Strafing doing microadjustments
- Counterstrafing doing microadjustments
- 1vs1 (like the gunfire hygiene method in DM)
My main problem is that I feel my routine lack of crosshair placement and peeking/peaking. More experienced player give me some feedback and correct me if I'm wrong.
Also I'm studying some lineups for killjoy, I enjoy this kind of playstyle (in a future maybe will learn one of this: cypher, viper, omen, brimstone, kayo or sova, to get a 2 agent pool)
Finally, if anyone has a more optimized routine (less exercises covering more fundaments) it would be nice to watch and argue.
Thx in advance and have a nice day!

2023.05.29 08:07 DoctorSteve When is someone going to ask Dombrowski why he went into the season without a full complement of starters who could be expected to pitch a full season?
Going into the season, the outlook for our starting pitching was:
1) Tired pitcher who went to the World Series
2) Tired pitcher who went to the World Series
3) Guy they signed to a big contract but no one was excited for
4) Someone who can go five innings max, and is most known in the majors as a relief pitcher. Also someone who was called on to start last year due to a lack of pitching options.
5) 20 year old who, at best, would have only pitched a couple of months.
How is this the assembled starting lineup? This is how we'd have started the season if everything went right. This won't get you to September. And since things didn't go right, we didn't even have five people capable of being starters for the first week of the year. And we still don't.
This isn't how you assemble a team, and it certainly isn't how you assemble a team when many of them pitched late into the season last year. Someone who you can bring in to not lose you the game before recording 2 outs isn't a big ask. We should have been 7 MLB starters deep. Falter and Ranger and Painter as options to use when needed, not people to be relied upon. We may as well get Noah Song his games this season because we can't afford to punt on someone who might be able to pitch. We aren't getting pitching any other way until these three guys in the minors are ready. And I am very concerned at the depth behind them. This team needs to start drafting pitchers like Dombrowski said we would. We'll see what we do at the draft in a little over a month. I want to be like Scarlett O'Hara, but instead of never being hungry again, it's never having to see two full seasons of bullpen starts again.

5/29 Monday MLB Tampa Bay Rays vs Chicago Cubs Betting Preview
The upcoming MLB matchup between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Chicago Cubs on May 29, 2023, at Wrigley Field promises to be an exciting contest. In this betting preview, we will analyze the teams' recent performances, ATS and OU records, pitching matchups, and head-to-head statistics to provide insights into why each team could cover the Run Line as well as reasons they might go Over or Under the Total. Finally, we will conclude with a prediction for the final score.
ATS and OU Records and Trends
The Tampa Bay Rays enter this game with an impressive 39-16 overall record and have been a profitable team for bettors, accumulating a profit of $776.00. They have excelled against right-handed pitchers, posting a 31-13 record, and have shown consistency, going 34-18-3 in terms of OveUnder results. Furthermore, the Rays have been solid when playing within their division, holding a 13-8 record.
On the other hand, the Chicago Cubs have struggled with a 22-30 overall record, resulting in a loss of $813.00 for bettors. They have been involved in high-scoring games lately, with the total going Over in 15 of their last 17 games. Additionally, the Cubs have struggled when playing at home, going 1-4 ATS and 1-4 SU in their last five home games.
Reasons for the Tampa Bay Rays to Cover the Run Line and Go OveUnder the Total
The Tampa Bay Rays boast a potent offense that has been performing consistently this season. They average 6.00 runs per game, ranking second in the league, and have a strong lineup that can put runs on the board against any pitcher. Facing the Cubs' defense, which has a 4.51 ERA, the Rays' offense should have opportunities to score runs and potentially cover the Run Line.
Moreover, the Rays' pitcher, Shane McClanahan, has been in excellent form, with an 8-0 record and a 1.97 ERA. In his last three starts, McClanahan has been solid, allowing only four earned runs over 18 innings pitched. With his dominant performances and the support of the Rays' bullpen, they have the potential to limit the Cubs' scoring and contribute to the game going Under the Total.
Reasons for the Chicago Cubs to Cover the Run Line and Go OveUnder the Total
While the Chicago Cubs have struggled overall, they have shown some positive signs recently. Despite their 22-30 record, the Cubs' offense has been productive, averaging 4.65 runs per game. They will face Shane McClanahan, who they have had success against in the past, scoring eight runs in six innings during their previous encounter. With Marcus Stroman on the mound for the Cubs, who has a respectable 2.95 ERA, they could limit the Rays' offense and potentially cover the Run Line.
However, both teams have experienced some bullpen issues in their recent games, with Tampa Bay's relievers pitching 15 innings and the Cubs' bullpen pitching 14 innings in their last three games. This could result in some late-game scoring opportunities, leading to the game going Over the Total.
Head-to-Head Statistics and Trends
In their most recent meeting, which took place on April 20, 2022, the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Chicago Cubs with a score of 8-2. However, in their previous encounters, the games have been competitive, with three of the last five matchups going Over the Total.
Looking at the betting odds trends, the Cubs have struggled ATS, going 1-4 in their last five home games and 0-5 in their last five games overall. Meanwhile, the Rays have been strong ATS, going 4-1 in their last five road games and 5-1 in their last six games overall.
Prediction
Based on the analysis, the Tampa Bay Rays have a stronger overall record, a potent offense, and a solid pitcher in Shane McClanahan. The Cubs, while showing some positive signs, have struggled and face a tough matchup against McClanahan. Taking into account the recent trends and head-to-head statistics, we predict that the Tampa Bay Rays will cover the Run Line and the game will go Under the Total.
Final score prediction: Tampa Bay Rays 5, Chicago Cubs 2

5/29 Monday MLB Cleveland Guardians vs Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview In this Monday MLB matchup, the Cleveland Guardians will take on the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Both teams have shown promising performances this season, making it an exciting game for bettors. In this betting preview, we will analyze the reasons why each team could cover the Run Line and provide insights into the OveUnder Total. Based on the available data, a prediction for the final score will also be given.
Cleveland Guardians: The Guardians have had a mixed season so far, with a 23-29 record. Their offense has been relatively average, scoring an average of 3.41 runs per game. However, their pitching staff has performed well, with a team ERA of 4.18. Logan Allen (1-2, 3.31 ERA) is expected to start for Cleveland in this game.
Reasons the Guardians could cover the Run Line:
- Recent Form: The Guardians have shown some signs of improvement in their recent games, winning three of their last five matchups.
- Road Performance: Cleveland has a decent record on the road, going 11-14 away from home this season.
- Pitching Strength: With Logan Allen on the mound, the Guardians have a reliable starter who can keep the Orioles' offense in check.
Reasons the game could go OveUnder the Total:
- Offensive struggles: Cleveland's offense has been inconsistent, averaging 3.41 runs per game. This could contribute to a lower-scoring game.
- Solid defense: The Guardians' pitching staff has performed well, allowing an average of 4.18 runs per game. This could result in a game with fewer runs scored.
Baltimore Orioles: The Orioles have been one of the standout teams this season, with a 34-19 record. They possess a potent offense, averaging 5.04 runs per game, while their pitching staff has held opponents to 4.40 runs per game. Tyler Wells (3-1, 3.47 ERA) is expected to take the mound for the Orioles.
Reasons the Orioles could cover the Run Line:
- Strong Home Record: Baltimore has been excellent at home, boasting a 16-10 record at Oriole Park at Camden Yards this season.
- Offensive Firepower: The Orioles have a powerful offense that can put up runs against any pitching staff. Their ability to score consistently gives them a good chance to cover the Run Line.
- Favorable Bullpen: Baltimore's relievers have been reliable recently, which could help secure a victory if the game is close.
Reasons the game could go OveUnder the Total:
- Offensive Dominance: The Orioles have been scoring runs at a high rate, averaging 5.04 runs per game. This could contribute to a higher-scoring game.
- Cleveland's Pitching: While the Guardians have a solid pitching staff, they could face challenges against the potent Orioles' lineup, potentially leading to more runs being scored.
Prediction: Considering the strengths of both teams, this game has the potential to be a close matchup. The Orioles' strong offense and home record make them favorites to cover the Run Line, while the Guardians' solid pitching and recent form could keep the game within reach. In terms of the Total, the combination of Cleveland's pitching and offensive struggles, along with Baltimore's solid defense, suggests a lower-scoring game.
Final Score Prediction: Baltimore Orioles 4 - Cleveland Guardians 3

5/29 Monday MLB Los Angeles Angels vs. Chicago White Sox Betting Preview
The Los Angeles Angels will face off against the Chicago White Sox in an exciting matchup on May 29, 2023, at Guaranteed Rate Field. Both teams have had their fair share of ups and downs this season, but they have the potential to make this an interesting game for bettors. In this betting preview, we will analyze the reasons why each team may cover the Run Line, as well as reasons the game may go Over or Under the Total.
ATS and OU Records and Trends:
Let's start by looking at the ATS (Against the Spread) and OU (OveUnder) records and trends for both teams. The Los Angeles Angels currently hold a 28-26 record and have been slightly profitable for bettors, with a -$222.00 overall record. They have performed well against left-handed pitchers, going 6-9, and have been strong when playing on the road, with a 13-13 record. The Angels have also shown a tendency to go Under the Total, with a 26-26-2 record.
On the other hand, the Chicago White Sox have struggled this season, with a 22-33 record and a -$1,242.00 overall record. However, they have been impressive against the spread, going 11-4 in their last 15 games. The total has gone Over in 4 of their last 5 games, indicating a potential high-scoring matchup. At home, the White Sox have a 7-1 ATS record and have gone Under the Total in 4 of their last 5 home games.
Reasons the Los Angeles Angels will cover the Run Line:
The Los Angeles Angels have a solid offensive lineup that has been performing well this season, averaging 4.89 runs per game. Their offense has been consistent, recording an average of 8.81 hits and 3.08 walks per game. Additionally, their defense has been solid, with a team ERA of 4.72. The Angels' bullpen has also performed well, pitching 11 innings in the last 3 games. With these factors in mind, the Angels have a good chance of covering the Run Line.
Reasons the Chicago White Sox will cover the Run Line:
Although the Chicago White Sox have had a rough season overall, they have been strong against the spread in recent games. Their offense has shown potential, scoring an average of 4.26 runs per game. Against right-handed pitchers, the White Sox have a 18-25 record, indicating that they can perform well against the Angels' pitching. Their defense has also been improving, with a team ERA of 5.17. With the White Sox's recent ATS success and the potential for their offense to shine, they have a chance to cover the Run Line.
Reasons the game will go Over or Under the Total:
Looking at the offensive statistics of both teams, it's clear that they have the potential to put runs on the board. The Los Angeles Angels have an average of 4.89 runs per game, while the Chicago White Sox average 4.26 runs per game. This suggests a potentially high-scoring game. However, the total has gone Under in 4 of the Angels' last 6 games and in 4 of the White Sox's last 5 home games. Considering these trends, there is a chance that the game could go Under the Total.
Prediction:
Based on the analysis of both teams' performance, we predict that the final score of the game will be close, with the Los Angeles Angels ultimately coming out on top. The final score prediction is Los Angeles Angels 5, Chicago White Sox 4.

2023.05.29 02:53 mattymyers4 World Series Champs in Year 1 of the Sim!
| Can't say I expected this... I took over the Twins since I am seeing them in Philly later this year and wanted to learn more about some of the players (other than the well known Buxton, Correa, Gallo, etc...). After a nice first half, I decided to add some elite bullpen arms in Bryan Abreu, Camilo Doval, and Alex Lange, which surprisingly did not cost me much in terms of top prospects (traded away Austin Martin for Abreu, but his prospect status has kind of taken a big hit of late). We ended up winning the division, then absolutely dominated the playoffs to a World Series title. I was not expecting to be keeping this team intact for the long haul, but after this first year, it's going to be hard for me to not try to resign Gallo and run it back. https://preview.redd.it/nyb06srn4o2b1.png?width=1793&format=png&auto=webp&s=768e459874e345a7dc114b77d0c9e9160adb58f3 https://preview.redd.it/xdixerrn4o2b1.png?width=1800&format=png&auto=webp&s=7dedb7b83579b6afed08285ac9c390b406e2a30a https://preview.redd.it/4jcinrrn4o2b1.png?width=1791&format=png&auto=webp&s=21d02b2a6aa6a8fc8ab916984bb4ccbd7fda0856 https://preview.redd.it/i1utqrrn4o2b1.png?width=1788&format=png&auto=webp&s=2bc873e77b4b1760dd446151160b88304cda2e59 submitted by mattymyers4 to OOTP [link] [comments] |
