Special counsel Jack Smith has obtained a 2021 recording in which Donald Trump appears to brag about having a classified document related to Iran, suggesting the former president understood both the legal and security concerns around his possession of such restricted information, people familiar with the matter said Wednesday.
The recording was made at a meeting at Trump’s golf course in Bedminster, N.J., said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing criminal investigation. It features Trump describing a multi-page document that he claims is about possibly attacking Iran, expressing a desire to share that information with others but also making some kind of acknowledgment that he shouldn’t do so.
The existence of the recording was first reported by CNN. It has not been made public, and the people familiar with it would not describe Trump’s statements verbatim. But for Justice Department prosecutors examining Trump’s possible mishandling of classified documents after leaving the White House, the audio could be important evidence about Trump’s state of mind and his understanding of the rules about classified information — and it might show the path of certain sensitive documents once they left the White House.
Trump’s lawyers have suggested that the former president either did not know he possessed classified documents after leaving the White House or could have declassified such material while in office.
Smith’s investigation appears to be centered on classified material discovered last August at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida home and private club, weeks after the Justice Department demanded the return of all documents marked classified and a lawyer for Trump handed over documents said to be responsive to that subpoena.
The Washington Post reported last year that among the sensitive documents recovered by the FBI was a document describing Iran’s missile program. It’s unclear if that document is the same one described in the audio recording. The Post has also reported that investigators suspect Trump’s motive for keeping classified material after leaving the White House may have been mostly ego, and that he insisted the documents were his property, not the U.S. government’s.
For the Justice Department, evidence that Trump knew he had classified material, and understood the restrictions on sharing it, would be an important part of any charging decision.
A spokesman for Smith declined to comment. A Trump spokesperson replied to an email seeking comment by decrying leaks about the investigation, which he said “are designed to inflame tensions and continue the media’s harassment of President Trump and his supporters. It’s just more proof that when it comes to President Trump, there are absolutely no depths to which they will not sink as they pursue their witch hunts.”
In a section of his book, “The Chief’s Chief,” Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, appears to describe the meeting where the recording obtained by the Justice Department was made.
The book mentions a document that Trump tries to link to a frequent target of his ire at the time, Gen. Mark A. Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Meadows describes a scene at Bedminster in which a relaxed, post-presidency Trump expounds on how he is waiting to re-engage with politics at a time of his choosing.
“The boss leans back in his chair, dressed in a sport coat and a crisp white shirt that’s open at the neck. He looks at least twenty pounds lighter than he was in office,” Meadows’s book says. “The president recalls a four-page report typed up by Mark Milley himself. It contains the general’s own plan to attack Iran, deploying massive numbers of troops, something he urged President Trump to do more than once during his presidency. President Trump denied those requests every time.”
At that time, Trump complained frequently about Milley, a reaction to anecdotes in books and news articles that cast Trump in a bad light and described Milley as defending democracy from the then-president’s darker impulses.
Representatives for Milley did not immediately respond to requests for comment. A lawyer for Meadows declined to comment. People familiar with the investigation say prosecutors have repeatedly asked witnesses about any comments Trump made about Milley.
The strange legal and national security saga of how hundreds of classified documents followed Trump to Florida after he left the White House began in 2020, when the National Archives and Records Administration began seeking the return of what it suspected were presidential records – historical documents that are government property.
After months of back-and-forth, 15 boxes of papers from Mar-a-Lago were returned in early 2022. When archives officials opened the boxes, they found more than 100 classified documents scattered among the various items.
That led to questions about whether Trump had more classified papers at his Florida home. Served with the grand jury subpoena in the spring, Trump’s lawyers handed over an additional 38 classified documents in a sealed envelope last June. But FBI agents later obtained evidence suggesting that Trump was holding onto even more documents, leading them to obtain a court order for an Aug. 8 search of the property in which agents found more than 100 classified documents.
In November, after Trump launched another bid for the White House, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Smith to lead the documents investigation, along with a more sprawling investigation into efforts to block the 2020 election results and events surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Trump’s attorneys have taken steps in recent weeks in the documents case — including outlining his potential defense to members of Congress and seeking a meeting with the attorney general — that suggest they believe a charging decision is getting closer.
Over the past week, The Post has reported that investigators have video footage and other evidence that shows two Trump employees at Mar-a-Lago moved boxes of documents into a storage area just before Justice Department officials came to retrieve material in response to the subpoena, and that one of the employees later asked how long material captured by surveillance cameras at the property was kept before being erased.

-Memory Foam mattresses are the best choice I got so far despite me not liking them much, but only Tempurpedic. Other memory foam mattresses just were terrible quality overall.
-Latex mattresses are an alternative, but over the months they have too much feedback. They don't release pressure but push your body back and it left me feeling more sore and tired overtime.
Final conclusion - Tempurpedic LuxeAdapt Firm. Do not buy this mattress from MattressFirm or other stores for their 4k listed price. Right now wholesale mom and pop stores are selling this exact mattress brand new at wholesale price of $1000 or less. They're trying to get rid of their inventory for the nextlineup of mattresses. I even found these at OfferUp. They also sell the other variations like Luxebreeze, hybrid, etc. all at these low costs.
Why this mattress? I originally slept on the LuxeBreeze firm for a while and even after breaking it in, the mattress was too firm. It was destroying my shoulder blades and caused it my shoulders to hurt anytime I would shrug downwards. I tried the luxeadapt and while it was similar, it is slightly softer and therefore gave less pressure to my lat muscles and shoulder blades. This is the best fit I found so far but it is not perfect either. To this day, my lat muscles still feel pain and soreness. However, my lowerback is loving it as it's the perfect firmness for my weaker lower back.
Final pillow conclusion - After trying so many pillows over the years, the COOP memory foam adjustable pillow on amazon is the king. Wired wrote an article saying it was the best and I agree with their choice. It's the only pillow I found that was truly conforming to every type of angle you sleep at. Plus it is affordable.
P.S- I am selling an avocado latex mattress if anyone is interested. I believe it retails somewhere around 2k. It's queen and firm. Comes with a soft latex topper. I just need to get rid of it as my house doesn't have space. Maybe for a couple hundred bucks. Excellent condition, I don't have my warehouse anymore so it's sitting in my living room doing nothing.

Hi I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit let me know if it’s not. One of my relative lives and is a citizen in a foreign country, her brother is a citizen here in the US and her mom is in the process of becoming a citizen. She just had a baby in the US (her intention wasn’t to give birth here she just wanted to visit her family but while at the doctor discovered the baby was breached and she was advised to have a C-Section about a month early and was also recommended to not fly). It’s been a few days since she gave birth and we’ve found out that the baby has a heart problem, and this may require open heart surgery but they’re not 100% sure yet. I do not have many details about the condition right now other than that. My relative’s visa allows her to travel for 6 months at a time to the US, her six months would be ending in a couple months. We’re wondering if there’s a Visa so that she can get to stay while her daughter is getting surgery and treatment especially since her daughter cannot fly right now. We know roughly about the B-2 Visa but we’re not sure if that would apply in this situation since it’s not a surgery for her. Any advice would help, thanks!

The backstory:
Benjamin was born differently.
His parents were never sure what it was exactly, But simply put, he would never grow up.

I'm currently on day 61, custom difficulty with intermediate settings and some mods to make the game more realistic. Have been all through Pleasant valley. Only left twice to go to the Riken to forge, and FA to get the transmitter. Found the tale bunker in PV on day 58. Working on getting all cairns and 6 more buffer memories before taking off to a new region to explore it 100%.

Hey guys.
So I have recently finished a build with Intel's i13900k processor. I did a custom loop with 2 rads (420mm and 360mm), pump, 3080 GPU and the CPU block. For fans I'm using Corsair's 3x140mm and 3x120mm attached to the radiators. I also have 4x140mm fans for the airflow, 3 in the front and one in the back. All these fans are attached to 2 corsair commander cores. I have also installed a temp sensor in one of the outlets for my GPU water block in order to monitor the liquid temp, the sensor is plugged in into the commander core as well. I use ICUE to set up the custom fan curve and base the fans RPM on the liquid temp, starting at 20% power when the liquid is at 30c gradually increasing to 50% when water is at 45c and then going to 100% when water is at 50c.
Everything was working fine, however today I noticed that when I was syncing photos in Lightroom my CPU temp shoot up to 100c. I did some research and found out that this is happening because there was no power limit set up in my motherboard, so i went ahead and turned on the limit enforcement. It seems like it fixed the problem, however I am a bit disappointed I have to do that, I thought that with my setup I should be able to handle 300-350W of heat coming off from the cpu.
I was thinking to change my fan curve to be based on the CPU temp instead, but I don't want to hear fan changing speed constantly without real need. I also understand that it's not a great idea to have my CPU running at 100c randomly. What would you recommend in this situation?

I've been taking phenibut, consistently, as the title shows, for 2 and a half years. Doses ranging from 2.5 to 5 average, and then 10 gpd, for the past three weeks. In this time frame, I've been VERY strict about taking my medicine (self-prescribed - lulz) ONCE a day. In the morning. I've been careless these past three weeks and dosing multiple times a day. Do NOT do this.
In all this time, I have never missed a dose, with the except of a 48 hour time period. This was about a year ago - in that time frame, I experienced insomnia and some mild rebound withdrawal, however, I was lucky enough to have my package arrive soon after. I soon forgot about that experience.
Phenibut withdrawal is FUCKING HELL. I have never experienced a sickness from a drug in the entirety of my 28 years on this planet (I am a poly-drug user, in recovery, and for the last year or so I have been clean from everything). I haven't withdrawn from any other drug, except Etizolam the summer of 2018 when I was taking 3mg every day for a month or so. This shit takes the cake. Granted, I've heard Benz withdrawal is serious too, but I didn't take Etizolam as much as I have phenibut. With weed, you'll maybe get insomnia, but that's about it. This is the first "hardcore" drug that I have ever been addicted to. I've dabbled, don't get me wrong, but not to this extent. I am currently in the throws of WD. As we speak. I am typing this post in an attempt to psychologically release the stress and pain that I'm going through.
When one is taking an absurd amount of phenibut, you inevitably meet satan. I believe phenibut can be handled responsibly - I happen to not possess this quality. It has powerful anxiolytic effects that can promote sociabile/loquacious qualities unlike any other drug I have tried (I'm an extreme extrovert innately), stimulate/reduce sex drive and promote cognitive and mood enhancing qualities. Well, I wouldn't know anything about that considering this effect is more apparent in doses under 1 gram.
My 100 grams of phenibut HcL was SUPPOSED to arrive this past Friday - via USPS - the reliant mail carrier that they are. I made the rookie mistake to order their cheapest shipping.
Luckily, I had around 5 grams to taper me off until my packages arrive tomorrow.
I knew I was fucked when I read "Arrived at Distribution Center ND." WTF?
Almost instantly, my HR skyrocketed.
My last dose, was my usual, 5 grams, at 10am this past Friday
I knew I had to white knuckle it and preserve my precious phenibut molecules until I could absolutely not tolerate it anymore. I made it until Sunday night - I clocked 60 hours. I experienced a significant amount of muscle tension, re bound anxiety, feeling uncomfortable leaving the house, interacting with others (which is NOT characteristic of who I am), insomnia, etc. Luckily, I have yet to experience delusions/paranoid thinking and depersonalization. I think I'll be in the clear as I have two parcels shipping tomorrow - USPS (cunts) and UPS Next Day Air.
I knew I had to ration the precious 10 scoops as much as possible to stave off the WD's. I should preface by saying that I am SO FUCKING GRATEFUL that I'm prescribed a cocktail of medications. Which have probably prevented me from having a seizure by now. i.e. Seroquel (Or else I would be running on 2 hours of sleep these past 5 days), trielptal (mood stabilizeanti convulsant), the GOD send that is gabapentin and Suboxone. I'm also on vyvanse, and I NEED it, because Im currently studying. Surprisingly, it hasn't seemed to exacerbate the WD's I am experiencing. In fact, I think it actually helps... It allows me to think (somewhat clearer) of what I call... THE FOG. I think I'm a character in a Stephen King novel (who happens to be my favorite author). Let me tell you guys, I did not expect to experience the brain fog. I think this is the worst actual symptom that I am experiencing. I'll get into that momentarily.
Readers, I am not trying to scare you. I'm trying to warn you. After I describe these subsequent five days, I will give you some advice/supplement recommendations that'll abate Phen withdrawal symptoms. If I didn't have five grams left/live a healthy, non-sedentary lifestyle and are on the medications I am on. I would be admitted to the ER by now. I am an active/physically fit person, drink a lot of water, (try) to eat healthy, avoid tobacco, and am prescribed the aforementioned medications/supplements (that I'll provide at the end).

** WHATEVER YOU DO.*\* Stay the FUCK away from alcohol if you're currently going through WD. This is essentially putting Kerosene on your neurotransmitters and alcohol is the source of ignition. You'll feel good while intoxicated, but the re-bound will be 10x fold the next day.
WD TIMELINE
Day one: "oh, this is fine." "No problem." I didn't experience anxiety, delusions, any symptoms. Stocked up on Vitamins/minerals/Supplements. took my meds. Slept fine.
Day two: Uncomfortable talking to people, I start to avert my eyes when making contact, yet it's not unbearable. Noticeable change in my mood and the re-bound is starting. Then I reach the afternoon. My body is definitely wondering where the fuck their GABA B its (sorry, brain). I don't feel right. I don't feel disassociated per se, but I can tell my body is craving the phenibut. I have work tomorrow. I have to sleep. Fuck it. I take 2 grams of phenibut at 6pm and sleep peacefully.
Day three: I'm at work. In the morning, I wake up relatively refreshed because the phenibut is still lingering in my system from the night before. I work from 5 am to 11am so I wake up fairly early. As I reach 7-8am I start acting "off." I don't feel as charismatic, I'm more withdrawn and I don't feel comfortable talking to people. I keep to myself and I know I have to dose. so I take one gram to stave off the withdrawals. It helps, but I know I need to fucking leave work.
I get off work at 11am. It hits me like a fucking freight train. THE FOG. This is arguably the worst symptom I am experiencing. I feel fucking retarded. My whole brain feels like an Anvil and I just. can't. think. Or concentrate. I feel so sedated, but not in a happy - go - lucky phenibut way. It's like my THINKING is sedated. Not in an anxiolytic manner I should add. I have never experienced a feeling like this in my life. My whole cognitive thinking process feels like the dirty windshield of a Truck Driver going down Route 66. It's painful. I feel headaches, clouded and really dazed and confused (shout out!). Like I mentioned, I am prescribed vyvanse, a powerful ADHD stimulant, and I STILL feel this way. The WD of the phenibut has negated all of the effects of my medication.
I have to study, but can't. I feel this inability to retain any information I am studying. I know I have to get shit done, so I dose another 1.5 grams. This was around noon, so I really didn't feel better until 2 or 3pm. The fog is abated, but not by much. This leaves us to 1.5 grams left.
Day four: I have work, yet again, and I'm more miserable than yesterday. Evidently, the higher you dose, and for more consecutively, it takes MUCH longer until you enter the REAL WD's.
I'm not acting right. I feel somewhat paranoid. I think that my co workers don't like me. I feel so robotic and weird in social interactions. So I dosed at 5am (1 gram) just so I wouldn't act like any more of a weirdo. I make up an excuse. Leave work early. As I get home, I do not leave my house. Then I keep thinking dreadful thoughts. Thoughts of impending doom, imagining the worst possible situations, mentally, and playing them out like a fucking Martin Scorsese film. I'm a worry wort by nature, so this is only intensified. I forgot to mention that these past four days I have been consuming massive amounts of red - bali (this is the strain you want), Valerian root, and kava kava.
I take twice my daily dose of Seroquel, 20mg of melatonin, and every supplement you could think of. Surprisingly, I actually slept.
TODAY: I wake up refreshed? I didn't have work today so it made me feel better and alleviated some psychological effects. I take my vyvanse drink my coffee and I think to myself, "I think I'm over it?"
one hour later. It hits me. again. This fucking fog man. I feel sooooo stupid. I have never experienced this feeling in my life. As I have said, the supplements I've taken coupled with my meds have prolly prevented me from seizures. The anxiety is not terrible, it's definitely there - but manageable. I take the remainder of my phenibut (500mg at 10:30am and 1 gram at noon). I took them as soon as I was approved to call in sick and I have two deliveries scheduled for tomorrow. I have never called off work in the past six months I have been working there, so this is going to be okay. I always pick up shifts too, so this won't be the end of the world. It's this clouded thinking that is the worst of my WD's.
This is fucking torture, you guys. this apathy and obfuscated thinking is what's killing me. Im praying BOTH my packages arrive tomorrow. You know how USPS is, but at least a buddy saved my life and ordered me NEXT DAY AIR via UPS.
I know I'm going to wake up with the fog again. As soon as my parcels arrive, I'm going to gobble down 6 grams. Just so it gets in my system. This is a massive learning lesson for me. Phenibut is one of the most dangerous drugs out there. And it's not well - known in the states.
From now on, I'm going to take 2.5 gpd (even this is a massive dose) every other day. I don't want to have this XP ever again. I was careless, stupid and now I am dealing with the consequences. Luckily, I don't think I'll have to go to the ER. I did not respect the phenibut, and in the end, the phenibut did not respect me.
If used responsibly, it can be quite a beautiful compound and ease muscle relaxation and promote sleep. My muscle feels tense. I can feel it in my neck. This hasn't been fun. I just want to get well again. I'm going to be MUCH smarter and actually start tapering. 10% every two weeks. Also, STOCK up. I can't be so careless about not having enough on me. It's 6:45 pm and hopefully I'll be back to normal in <24 hours.
Here are the drugs and supplements that have been extremely helpful in these past 6 days:
1.) Red Bali Kratom. Invest. Even though it acts on the mu opioid receoptors, it's a pain killer and quells the anxiety. Buy it. You'll thank me later.
2.) Melatonin
3.) Ashwaganda
4.) Valerian Root instant release capsules ( serving size is 2, before bed, I took 6 at a time 2x daily)
5.) KAVA KAVA tea (the yogi brand). this has been extremely helpful for me. It promotes relaxation and has cleared the fog a little.
6.) All the B complex vitamins
7.) Magnesium ( it'll help with sleep and alleviate muscle tension)
8.) If you're lucky, get gabapentin. I'm blessed to also have Seroquel - if you have a source, take it. This has allowed me to actually get sleep.
9.) You're probably not going to find trieltpal (mood stabilizer and anti convulsant), but if you're prescribed it, know that it will help.
Obviously, benzos are going to help, but I did not have ANY access. I've heard good things about Baclofen too. Just remember to stagger your doses, and do not take any until you absolutely can't take it anymore. You HAVE to discipline yourself. I was so desperate for some, I literally found myself wandering in the homeless encampments asking people for some. All they had were Meth and Fentanyl. Hard pass.
If you're dealing with withdrawals, you are not alone. I'm so lucky that It's only been five to six days. I hear it gets worse as they days, weeks and months progress. Just never do fucking CT.

Yesterday afternoon I was hijacked by London rd Alexandra by the on ramp to the n3 north highway at around 3:15 pm . Crazy and frightening ordeal . Try avoid this road whenever possible .
They took my car and left me on the side of the road .
A Good Samaritan on the side of the road lent me his phone to call my family members.
I saw a metro police vehicle driving and stopped them and they took me in the car to Alex precinct 15 where they were very helpful. Many officers asked what car it was and immediately got in their cars to search for suspects.
Later in the evening the cops arrived at my house and told me they found the car . I went with them and we recovered the car.
Fantastic work super impressed by the efficient and good service.
Because I could only flair this as a discussion would like to know if anyone else has experienced a hijacking . How did you deal with feeling safe again driving and if they got their vehicle recovered etc .

There's a married couple I follow that makes shorts on youtube. Mostly cute couple things and some funny stuff. One video was about the husband surprising his wife by taking her to see a movie she really wanted to see and reserving the theater for just them on their date. He danced for her, got her movie snacks, general cuteness. A month ago, I commented that we'd never find a husband as good as him because women often comment on their videos on what a great couple they are, he's such a thoughtful husband, etc. Not to mention this is a stark contrast between men who are like that and men we see women make posts about here. You know the ones.
The men who can't pick up after themselves let alone contribute, the men who forget her birthday, the men who see women only as sex objects or maids, the men who do nothing for the mother of their children on mother's day, the men who ask when she can go back to house work after just giving birth, and the list goes on. I read these posts all the time and it's plain sad. So it's nice seeing videos about a happy couple who do things for each other, are silly, and just have fun.
But no. I've gotten reply after reply to my comment from men complaining women don't have a clue what they want, women don't appreciate "nice guys", women friendzone men like that, women only like bad boys, women are bored by nice guys, women only care about money, women don't do anything nice for men, women only want rich husbands, maybe if I was as good as her I'd deserve a husband like him, I won't do what it takes to get a man like him, women want everything and bring nothing to the table, women only stay as long as men have money, I probably have had a guy like that and I broke him, if you found him you'd probably cheat on him, "you women just want to be spoiled a good man deserves a good woman not some demanding chick who wants to be spoiled", "don't be a gold digger", "all you want is vacation real life has responsibilities", "this is why women are never happy while men are happy with what they have".
I'm a nobody just making comments anonymously. I just want to watch something cute, make an innocent comment, and not have 100 men bombard me in the comments telling me what's wrong with my gender and telling me what I actually want. Why do men insist on shoving misogyny at me over nothing? Why is it so hard to down vote or keep scrolling? I'm just so tired of it.

So I got into some legal trouble this past weekend, and part of my bail terms was that I can't be within 100 metres of my apartment that I was renting.
I am now staying at my grandpa's house until I can move into a semi independent mental health treatment home. Originally I was going to find a new place to rent, but this was the better option as I need help learning how to manage my anger and emotions.
Based on my bail conditions, I was allowed a one-time visit to my old house to grab my belongings with police presence.
While I was digging through my belongings, I found out that the paperwork for my vehicle was missing. My first instinct was to look at my keychain that I left on the table, which would normally hold 2 car keys (one for the car in storage, and one for the car at my residence).
The keys to my car at my residence was missing, so I ran outside to the garage to find out that my car was gone. I asked the police to write a report, which they said they couldn't do as it's a civil matter. They told me the same thing when I called later in the day.
So now I've lost my house, and my dream car that I put lots of money and work into. This is a pretty shitty situation considering I already have legal trouble to deal with as well.

This might be a long story. So to keep it a little simple. I'm 19m. And I have a truck the truck then started to knock and I need a new car or new engine. So my gf 18. But her dad said that he had a machanic that he goes to that changed an engine for his truck so he towed my truck and I asked how much I was told multiple times 1200 because that's how much it was for his truck. And I was going to work with her dad to pay it off (100 per day 400 down)
That's the back story to get up to speed. In the middle of them changing the engine we broke up. It was her who broke up with me. Her mom was on my side tho. Anyway I got my truck back and we went to the same school together and I kept asking when am I working with your dad next (the engine cost 1800 but he is charging me 1200 because that's what he said, his words). She said she would ask I would also text her and she wouldn't say anything about me working with her dad.
Her mom and dad only speak Spanish and I speak English so I can't just get her dad's number. Anyway school ended and during the time they replaced it and until now the machanics did a really bad job, spark plugs burnt. Oil pressure gage doesn't work (I got new spark plugs and oil pressure sensor and some other new things on other engine), the engine also didn't have a thermostat.
And I am also missing something that was supposed to be on top of the engine that made my idle fine (it had a very rough idle really bad), then this week I found out that the engine has a bad head gasket and now the trucks engine is basically unsable. This entire ice I have been texting her basically saying get your money back and I want my money back she said she woukd ask her dad.
I texted her and tried calling and I am still getting no answer or reply from her at all. I'm thinking about going to her house and hoping that her brothers are there (the speak English).
I did tell her that I plan on junkies the truck at this point because the machanics can't do a job and I'll be buying my sisters car. Now what should I do. If they can't get their money back should I still pay her dad back. Her parents have been absolutely great to me our entire relationship and they try to include me into their family stuff more than she did. But at the same time I was promised a working engine and well this engine had hanging wires at the bottom and the top and a random tube that goes to nothing.
So idk if I want to pay them back because I didn't get what I was promised. (When I told her these problems she just said the machanics technically did what they were supposed to do), lso I get it it's a used engine but these shouldn't be my problem like NO thermostat or burnt burnt spark plugs also it stalled out when coming to a stop when it was really hunid or raining outside and if it was running it was running bad enough to not drive in the rain.
(The reason why they helped me is because they knew I didn't have enough money for a new car or engine and I was also taking their daughter places that they didn't have to anymore).

He asked himself several questions... When he looked out his window, he realized his surroundings, his house was on top of a seemingly floating street, on a void that could only distinguish white dots like the wake of a star.

Everything seemed... Unreal, impossible, at any moment he would wake up, right?, it did not seem that it would happen ... He pinched himself multiple times, He tried to hit his head, but nothing happened but the stabbing pain of that blow.

He tried to go downstairs, holding onto the railing, and saw a house... Empty... Just a small kitchen... Quite reduced and uncomfortable, no one could cook there!, a small sofa next to it, but... Where was the living room...?, it looked like a house under construction.

Just before leaving, he felt the wall creak, and he looked under himself, a crack had formed on his way to the door, with a quick reflex jumping out of the house before the piece of earth took him to the dark cesspool... He didn't understand what was so dangerous in that darkness, but he felt the insistent desire to stay out, or at least, not fall directly.

When he could breathe again, he was on a porch... A very nice one, by the way, but quite a lot... Like the rest of the house, devoid of color or life... He stood up... Removing and shaking dust from his damaged clothes... He just realized how poor and worn his clothes were... Afterthoughts

Man, today was stressful. In part due to the fact that I ended up going during a particularly busy time (I was planning to go after a doc appointment, but that didn't happen), and the fact that our Wal-Mart has rearranged 2/3 of the store, some of which in weird ways (they put all of the wet cat food in reverse order) But mainly it was due to what happened on the way to the store. For those curious, I'll explain further down at the end of this section since it's not explicitly related to this haul, but a TL;DR - I fucking hate my Jeep.
 
So, the haul itself went relatively smoothly. It's been a while, so I was a bit out of my groove. I messed up a bit on the deals. I meant to get 2 Arm & Hammer toothpaste and 4 Knoppers, but I swapped those around. Whoops. I also accidently got 11 deals when I only needed 8. I had decided to relook over MyPoints and found some deals, and it didn't register that since there were also deals for them on Ibotta, I could remove other deals. This wouldn't have been an issue if I were to aim to finish my big bonus this weekend, but... I'm not sure if I will be able to now.
Not a huge fan of Fetch's new redemption screen. It's pretty, sure, but it's no longer intuitive which defeats the purpose. I liked the old one. I also don't like how the videos seem to get longer each time. I also forgot about MyPoint's limit of 10 items per receipt, but then I found out you can just scan the receipt a 2nd time to get the rest of the rebates. So, what's the point of the limit? Lol. I also noticed a lot of rebates got added to aisle this past month... but none of them are good. Everything near me is mostly BOGO or just a buck or two back. That'd be fine if I knew I liked the products, but most of this stuff is really expensive, and I don't want two of something that I don't know if I'll even like.
BrandClub seems to have made some major changes. They added Kroger! I don't have one near me, but I see people post amazing Kroger deals all the time. Also, if I'm seeing this right, purchase rewards don't seem to be going into a locked status anymore (unless you unlock another reward with your purchase). For example, my Barilla purchases from last month all immediately unlocked their own rewards. I have nothing in the locked status for them. I did not add this change to my spreadsheet since I'm not 100% sure right now, but that'd be awesome if it were true. I also noticed a few rewards for watching videos. Unfortunately, they require a purchase to unlock. On the not-so-good side, brands seem to have different percent rebates now. Some items don't give any rewards, such as the Arm & Hammer, and they won't register or unlock rewards either. I know that Arm & Hammer toothpaste is in the system. I've bought it before, and it's showing in the search, but since it has no reward, none of my locked rewards were unlocked.
 
Instacart also gave me another offer for $30 off my next two orders of $50. Didn't take a picture this time, but I got almost $50 worth of groceries for $16 (they were out of something, so my total went down). Still not sure how to get them to use my credits that I earned before. It said it applied in the checkout, but it didn't. I have until the 9th to use the 2nd one, so maybe I'll figure it out then.
 
Now for the rant - In case you didn't notice, it's been a month since my last post. The last time I was at the store there was an obviously very ill jerk who didn't comprehend the concept of personal space. I ended up horrendously sick for the better part of 3 weeks. Not covid, but it was nasty, so I took it upon myself to completely self isolate. Looks like this cough is here to stay for a while though. My car apparently also caught what I did since it didn't want to leave the house either. Towed it to the mechanic, where the issue magically disappeared, he fixed a few things, and he wanted me to run it the next few days to try to see if the issue comes back. Well, it sure did. Car broke down on my way to do this haul. On a highway. Around a wide bend (I could be seen in time... IF they were paying attention). Going up a hill. In a place where people blow through at 45-55+ mph without thinking. Yea, that wasn't fun. There were a few close calls (mostly by school busses...), but thankfully it got towed away without incident. I borrowed a car and did the haul since I really did need to get some stuff after going almost nowhere for the past month. I planned to do another haul this weekend to finish my big bonus but... that probably won't happen. I'm not sure when my next haul will be.
 

Time Spent

I totally forgot to keep track today, sorry. I generally plan my hauls over the course of an hour or two while I play with the cat and eat breakfast. I spent a total of about 1.5-2 hours driving to a couple stores, getting everything including my shopping items, picking up my Aldi order, then driving the car back to its owner.

First off, I know everyone hates these posts but here is another one. Recently expanded our family and need to buy a bigger vehicle. Sort of settled on the Pacifica Hybrid due to our lifestyle. Looking at used ones since new is a little bit salty for us.
Found a used 2022 Pacifica Hybrid Limited in white with just over 7,500 miles for $45,500 (before taxes, title and registration). It has the Uconnect Family Thester Group option, but not the S option. Has a dual pane panoramic sunroof.
Just wondering what others think of this vehicle at this price. Also, for sale from a dealership, not private party.

Found this in my net benefits app and thought others might be curious. It says data is as of April 30, 2023 so it's pretty current. he International Scoliosis Research Society defines early onset scoliosis (EOS) as the various types of scoliosis that occur within 10 years of age (1). EOS leads to distortion of body appearance and reduced heart and lung function, which often limits the development of the chest and even oppresses the spinal cord, resulting in paralysis (2). A large-scale demographic study showed that an increase in altitude negatively correlated with newborn birth weight. Moreover, neonatal body weight shows obvious changes when the altitude exceeds 2500 m (3, 4). Based on relevant studies, we defined an area with an altitude above 3000 m as a high-altitude area and an area with an altitude below 500 m as a plain area (5). High-altitude environments consists of low air pressure, hypoxia, and cold weather, all of which impact the cardiopulmonary function and structure of the human body. Such high-altitude environments increase cardiac output, pulmonary ventilation, pulmonary capillary hyperplasia, and other compensatory reactions (6, 7). However, there are limited studies on the effects of high-altitude environments on cardiopulmonary function in patients with EOS. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effects of high altitude on the respiratory and circulatory systems of patients with EOS by comparing blood gas analysis results and cardiopulmonary function between the high-altitude and plain area groups. In addition, we explored how scoliosis affected patients' cardiopulmonary function by analyzing the correlations between scoliosis imaging parameters and cardiopulmonary function measures. We aimed to provide an improved preoperative evaluation and postoperative rehabilitation for EOS patients living in high-altitude areas.
Inclusion and exclusion criteria A retrospective cohort study was conducted to identify patients with EOS between June 2013 and June 2021. The inclusion criteria were: (1) EOS patients with a long-term living altitude >3000 m or living area altitude <500 m; (2) full-length anteroposterior and lateral radiographs of the spine showing scoliosis of mainly the thoracic curvature type; (3) patients with an aggravated Cobb's angle >45°; (4) no treatment with braces or growth rods before evaluation; and (5) all patients knew of the study procedures and agreed to participate. The exclusion criteria were: (1) incomplete spinal radiography data; (2) patients who could not cooperate with the completion of pulmonary function examination, blood gas analysis, and cardiac color ultrasound; and (3) patients with congenital cardio-cerebrovascular diseases, syndrome scoliosis, and previous spinal surgery. Evaluation methods Patient records and relevant data were collected retrospectively. All patients underwent full-length anteroposterior and lateral spine radiographs, blood gas analysis, lung function examination, and heart color ultrasound examination. Imaging parameters Preoperatively, whole-body and lateral spinal X-rays were performed on all patients, and both shoulders were flexed anteriorly during X-ray examination to ensure the most natural state of lumbar lordosis. The imaging parameters were as follows: (1) kyphosis angle of the thoracic (kypho), (2) upper thoracic curve (UT), and (3) main thoracic curve (MT). MT measures the Cobb angle from the head side of the T3 upper endplate to the T12 lower endplate. The UT measures the Cobb angle from the T1 upper endplate to the T3 lower endplate on the cephalic side. Kypho measures the Cobb angle from the upper endplate of the cephalic T2 vertebral body to the lower endplate of the caudal T5 vertebral body. All measurements used the Cobb method. The picture archiving and communication system was used by two independent observers. To test agreement among the observers, two orthopedic spine surgeons measured the imaging parameters twice independently, and the intraclass correlation coefficient was analyzed. Doppler echocardiography Color Doppler echocardiography indices were collected and recorded, including those of the pulmonary artery internal diameter (PAID), left ventricular end-systolic dimension (LVISD), ascendant aorta inner diameter, right ventricular basal diameter (RVBD), left atrium left-right diameter (LALRD), right atrium left-right diameter, left atrium longitudinal diameter, left atrium vertical diameter, peak late diastolic flow velocity (A peak), left ventricular early diastolic peak flow velocity (E peak), interventricular septum extent (IVSE), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), right atrium vertical diameter, and interventricular septum thickness. A color Doppler ultrasound instrument (Vivid E95, GE Healthcare) with an m5S probe was used. Patients were positioned in the left lateral decubitus position, and their electrocardiograms were recorded synchronously to obtain apical four-, 2 three-, and two-chamber heart section images for three consecutive cardiac cycles and acquire spectral Doppler images of the mitral and aortic valves. Routine parameter measurements were performed according to the American Society of Echocardiography guidelines, and the LVEF was determined using the biplane Simpson method. The patients’ imaging results were jointly rated by two experts in ultrasound imaging. Pulmonary function examination The indices of pulmonary function examination included forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory flow in 1s (FEV1), percentage of predicted value, vital capacity (VC), and maximum ventilation (MVV). Preoperative pulmonary function examination was performed using the JAEGER Oxycon Pro with a unified baseline (CareFusion Germany 234 GmbH, Hochberg, Germany). A lung function detector (JAEGER Master Screen PFT, CareFusion Germany 234 GmbH, Hochberg, Germany) was used for measurement. A lung function detector was used for measurement, and the measurement module included pulse oscillation lung function, conventional lung capacity, velocity loop, residual gas function, dispersion function, and MVV rate. Lung function test results were obtained using JLab 5.7 software (CareFusion Germany 234 GmbH, Hochberg, Germany). Blood gas analysis Blood gas analysis indices included blood oxygen saturation (SO2%), hematocrit (Hct), partial pressure of oxygen (pO2), total hemoglobin (Hb), and partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2). Two independent observers recorded these indices. To test for inter-rater agreement, the reported outcomes were recorded twice independently by two orthopedic surgeons, and the recorded data were reconciled. Statistical methods The data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 software, and the data were expressed as`x±s, where`x and s stand for the mean and standard deviation, respectively. An independent sample t-test was used to compare the measurement data between the two groups, and the χ2 test was used for counting data. Differences were considered statistically significant at P<0.05. The correlation among the parameters was determined using Spearman’s correlation coefficient and analyzed using Origin 2021 software. General data Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 38 and 66 EOS patients were enrolled in the high-altitude and plain area groups, respectively. The high-altitude group comprised 20 boys and 18 girls, with a mean age of 8.42 years (range, 6–10 years). The plain area group comprised 26 boys and 40 girls, with a mean age of 8.77 years (range, 4–11 years). The average age of the high-altitude group was not significantly different from that of the plain area group (P>0.05). The body weight and height of the high-altitude group were significantly lower than that of the plain area group; however, there was no significant difference in the body mass index between the two groups. The average Cobb’s angle was 79.65°, and the average thoracic kypho was 60.16°. There was no significant difference in the degree of other spinal deformities between the two groups. The thoracic spine curves of both the groups were mainly on the right side, and the proportion of right kyphosis in the high-altitude and plain area groups was 63.16 and 66.67%, respectively, with no significant difference (P>0.05). There were 48 cases of idiopathic scoliosis, 16 of congenital scoliosis, two of 3 neuromuscular scoliosis, and 24 cases of idiopathic scoliosis in the plain area group; there were 14 cases of congenital scoliosis in the high-altitude group. There was no significant difference in the proportion of patients diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis between both groups (P>0.05). Color Doppler echocardiography examination The PAID, LVEDD, and IVST in the high-altitude group were significantly lower than those in the plain area group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the other cardiac color ultrasound indices, and were within the normal range. Pulmonary function examination The results of the pulmonary function examination showed that the FVC, VC, and MVV in the high-altitude group were significantly lower than those in the plain area group (P<0.05). The average predicted FVC% values in the high-altitude and plain area groups were 77.81 and 73.77%, respectively, and the average predicted FEV1% values were 78.65 and 73.05%, respectively (P>0.05), showing mild restrictive and obstructive ventilatory dysfunction. Blood gas analysis The Hct levels of the plain area group (38.49±2.89%) were significantly lower than those of the high-altitude group (40.85±4.47%; P<0.05). Hb levels in the high-altitude group (13.67 ± 1.46 g/L) were significantly higher than those in the plain group (12.85±0.94 g/L; P<0.05). The pCO2 levels of the high-altitude group (33.44±4.7 mmHg) were significantly lower than those of the plain area group (35.92±4.66 mmHg; P<0.05); however, there was no significant between-group difference in pO2 and SO2% levels (P>0.05). Correlations of parameters The correlation analysis between the spinal parameters and cardiopulmonary function measures in the high-altitude group is significant. In the high-altitude group, there was a significant correlation between the angle of the main thoracic curvature, the angle of the upper thoracic curvature, and kyphosis (rho=0.692, rho=0.484). There was a significant correlation between the kypho and upper chest curvature angles (rho=0.519). There was a significant correlation between LVISD, IVSE, RVBD, LALRD, and the MT (rho=-0.399, rho=0.565, rho=-0.358, rho=-0.371); however, there was no significant correlation between the angle of kyphosis and echocardiography index. PO2 and SO2% levels correlated with the angle of the MT (rho=-0.400, rho=-0.406). The upper chest bend angle was significantly correlated with VC, MVV, FVC, and FEV1 (rho=-0.498, rho=-0.451, rho=-0.513, rho=-0.588), while the upper chest bend angle and kyphosis bend were not significantly correlated with the pulmonary function index. There was a significant linear correlation between the UT and FEV1, FVC, and MVV in the high-altitude group. FEV1=1.623-0.011*UT, FVC=1.858-0.012*UT, MVV=54.646-0.286*UT. The results of the correlation analysis between imaging indices and cardiopulmonary function indices indicated that in the high-altitude group, UT showed a clear negative correlation with VC, FEV1, FVC, and MVV. In contrast, UT showed a clear positive correlation with these indices in the plain area group. In the high-altitude group, MT showed no obvious correlation with lung function indexes, whereas in the plain area group, MT showed a negative correlation with lung function indices. Scoliosis is a complex three-dimensional deformity that leads to distortion of body 4 appearance and reduced organ function, often causing irreversible damage to cardiopulmonary function (8, 9). Scoliosis due to rotation and thoracic scoliosis leads to a decrease in thoracic volume and asymmetry between the left and right thorax, which seriously affects the normal development of cardiopulmonary function in patients. The thoracic volume is vital for the development of cardiopulmonary function in children. Studies have shown that the critical period of alveolar and thoracic development in children occurs before the age of 10 years. Alveolar development in children approximately 10 years old is as prevalent as in adults, and the thoracic volume can reach half of that in adults (10, 11). Therefore, alveolar and thoracic development in EOS patients is critical since scoliosis and thoracic deformities can lead to pulmonary dysplasia. Most researchers believe that poor cardiopulmonary function in patients with scoliosis is caused by mechanical compression of bone tissue (12). Tsiligiannis et al. (13) showed that scoliosis changes the position of thoracic organs and affects normal respiratory movement, resulting in restrictive ventilation disorders. Campbell et al. (2) indicated that congenital scoliosis in patients with rib deformities could cause thoracic deformities, affects the normal development of heart and lung function and often leads to thoracic insufficiency syndrome. However, other studies have suggested that lung function is mainly affected by the limited development of the heart and lung caused by scoliosis rather than the mechanical compression caused by simple thoracic deformities (14). Davies et al. and Berend et al. (12, 15, 16) performed autopsy studies on EOS patients. They showed no obvious abnormality in the shape of alveoli, a decreased total number of alveoli, and no decrease in the size of alveoli due to thoracic compression and no decrease in the size of alveoli due to thoracic compression (the size was found to be compensated). Koumbourlis (17) et al. studied the relationship between scoliosis and patients’ circulatory and respiratory functions. They discovered that scoliosis-related deformities prevent patients from exercising like their normal peers, which reduces the number of chest breaths and compensates for the number of abdominal breaths. Regarding the thoracic structure, scoliosis limits the normal development of the chest, causing deformation of the important cardiovascular compression, leading to cardiopulmonary dysfunction. High-altitude areas exhibit a unique geographical environment comprising factors such as low pressure, low PO2, and low air content. Living in low-oxygen and thin-air environments over a long period impacts the development of cardiopulmonary function. An independent risk factor for low birth weight in newborns is the high-altitude environment, which leads to fetal growth restriction and affects the function of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems (5, 18). When the altitude increases by 100 m, the ambient atmospheric pressure decreases by 5 mmHg. Because the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere is constant, the oxygen partial pressure will decrease by approximately 1 mmHg. At sea level, the average pO2 is 150 mmHg. When the altitude is between 3000 and 5500 m, the PO2 decreases between 80 and 100 mmHg. When exposed to hypoxia and a hypobaric environment, people living in a plateau environment will have compensatory regulatory responses to restore the body's internal homeostasis. Over the course of natural selection, this compensatory response may be passed on to offspring through genetic material. The compensatory responses of people at high altitudes to hypoxia and hypobaric environments include increased pulmonary blood perfusion, erythrocytosis, blood viscosity, lung tissue compliance, and a slight increase in 5 pulmonary artery pressure. Studies have shown that people in high-altitude environments have symptoms of right ventricular hypertrophy and pulmonary hypertension, and elevated Hb levels in the body (19-21). In this study, the chest curve was the main bend in EOS patients in plain and high-altitude areas, with Cobb's angle of the main bend >45° in all patients. There was no significant between-group difference in the direction and severity of scoliosis and kyphosis. Idiopathic scoliosis is the primary classification of scoliosis. Excluding congenital cardiac developmental abnormalities, pulmonary artery diameter, LVEDD, and inter-ventricular septum thickness in the high-altitude group were smaller than that in the plain area group. This may be due to structural abnormalities of the heart and lungs caused by long-term low pressure and lack of oxygen in high-altitude areas. To explore the relationship between scoliosis, cardiopulmonary function, and the effect of high altitude on cardiopulmonary function, a correlation analysis was performed. The UT angle in the high-altitude group was correlated with the pulmonary function examination indexes (VC, MVV, FVC, and FEV1), while the UT angle in the plain area group was not significantly correlated with these indexes. Long-term exposure to high and cold climates, low pressure, and low oxygen environments impact the cardiopulmonary structure of patients in high-altitude areas. Therefore, the reduction in thoracic space caused by changes in spinal structure will cause more serious damage to the cardiopulmonary function of patients in high-altitude areas compared to patients in plain areas (22). Therefore, patients with severe scoliosis in high-altitude areas require active surgical intervention to reduce cardiorespiratory impairment associated with scoliosis. The results of pulmonary function tests showed that the average values of FEV1% and FVC% in both groups were < 80%, and there were mild restrictive and obstructive ventilation disorders, indicating that scoliosis and thoracic deformities limited the normal respiratory function of patients. The FVC, VC, and MVV indices of the high-altitude group were significantly lower than those of the plain area group. This could be due to the following: the low temperature at high altitudes contracts the small airways of the lungs and increases ventilatory resistance; the hypobaric and hypoxic environment forces the patients to breathe more times per unit time, increasing the load of respiratory muscles and causing respiratory muscle fatigue; the nutritional status of patients in high-altitude areas is worse than that of patients in plain areas; and the thoracic volume is smaller in patients in high-altitude areas than that of patients in plain areas. Scoliosis with thoracic deformity is often accompanied by limited diaphragm function and decreased chest volume, which leads to a decrease in lung tissue pressure and compliance, pulmonary hypertension, and even serious diseases such as cor pulmonale and respiratory failure (23). Studies have shown that pulmonary dysfunction before surgical treatment increases perioperative respiratory complications such as respiratory insufficiency, atelectasis, and pneumonia (24). Therefore, during clinical treatment, more attention should be paid to evaluating pulmonary function in EOS patients before surgery. For patients at high altitudes or other EOS patients with significantly impaired pulmonary function, it is necessary to carry out preoperative respiratory function training to improve respiratory function (25) and surgical safety and reduce postoperative complications; the comprehensive evaluation of pulmonary function in combination with other disciplines is also possible. 6 Because of the lack of studies comparing lung function between EOS patients in high-altitude and plain areas that are similar to our patient population, it cannot be ruled out whether the decline in lung function indices is affected by spinal deformities. In this study, the number of patients in high-altitude areas was less than that of patients in plain areas. Our results may not be comprehensive enough as there were only a few categories of imaging parameters; therefore, it was difficult to analyze the correlation between other imaging parameters and cardiopulmonary function. Conclusion EOS patients in high-altitude areas had poorer cardiac and pulmonary functions than those who live in plain areas. Cardiopulmonary function and the degree of scoliosis interact with each other.
