How do I write off equipment that I buy from Facebook marketplace? Do I just keep track of that kind of thing since it won’t show up in my bank statements? It’s a small piece of equipment for about $200. Thank you for any advice!

I'm going to sit on a bunch this weekend but I really like the sport touring / adv bike look.
42 years old, 6'2 290lbs (down 60), 30 inch inseam. Friends say I don't look that way but I promised myself when I got under 300lbs I'd take the MSF. I passed and rode on a KLX230(I believe for sure it was a dirt bike).
I'm looking at a used '16 Kawasaki Versys 650 or a '14 Triumph tiger explorer (1215cc).
I sat on my friends '14 Versys and might have been a little cramp so maybe the '16 Versys might be better bc its a different body style.
What are your thoughts? Also would Triumph too much too soon?

My first printer is an Anet A6, used from Facebook marketplace. I’m wanting to upgrade some stuff on it. First, I’m wanting to upgrade the controller board to improve print quality and allow for better motors in the future.

My bf(28) is white & I'm (28) Hispanic. I went garage sale shopping & I live in the Midwest. The further west you go the more white populated it gets. I was out west because Facebook marketplace shows where gales are. Anyways this lady is following me around as I look around at the garage sale. She's white & there are two other shoppers there that are white as well. For some reason she follows me around though. I notice it & get annoyed because I've had this had alot growing up in the Midwest. She looks annoyed that I am there with my son. My son is 3 & she keeps side eyeing him like he's going to steal something. I've had this happen to me many times growing up in the Midwest. People have done this to my parents. It shocked me & maddened me because I'm almost 30 years old & here it is happening to my son & I. I told my SO about it & he immediately got defensive & said that I didn't know her intentions. He does this everytime an incident happens so I stopped telling him about it but I was really hoping he'd try comforting me because it made me so upset I cried when I was telling him the story. How do I help him see that all I want is comfort & that I'm not blaming him for these incidents?

I've tried scouring eBay, Amazon, Discogs and even the eternally forbidden Facebook Marketplace *thunder_sound.mp3*. It's a bummer truly and it's sad that I can find CDs of *almost* every band, no matter how obscure, except them(and Bleed Radio Bleed, but for them I've lost hope, they're too obscure). Hey, I'm torn about this decision. Currently own a 2014 Altima S, pretty basic model. Probably sells for around 10k (CAD) and came across a 2013 GLK selling for 19k. Feels worth the upgrade. I personally don't drive a lot so one would wonder why even do this, but lately just been feeling bored with the Altima and wanted something different that felt nicer. So the other day I was messaging this woman on Facebook marketplace who was selling her death star for £120 and accepted shipping (I assumed it was really worn but the price was a huge red flag in hindsight). So I offer to get it, it was early in the morning and my dopamine levels were through the roof with the chance to get that set.
The person replies almost instantly and offered to ship it to me and I can PayPal them the money since they "apparently lived in Manchester". Some of their excuses for selling the set were somewhere along the lines of falling on hard times and being out of work due to chemotherapy.
Fortunately, looking back on it, my PayPal wasn't working because I was on holiday, and I live in the channel islands and for some reason it wouldn't work in London. So the night before I left to go back to my home in Guernsey, I was looking at their profile and it looked a bit suspicious.
Firstly, the account was very recently created, like a few days ago, secondly the woman in their profile picture and the woman on their only post looking to be a family photo, didn't match. They also had the UCS hogwarts express for £115 and that and the death star were both sealed which I only associated with investors or very hard core collects.
In the end I never sent the first £60 and tried to grab here IP using grabify for leverage if she really was a scammer which at that point I was 90% sure she was. The unfortunate part is that they know my email which they luckily said they didn't need and they also had my home address which wouldn't have been necessary if they were scamming me.
The deleted their account after I sent the grabify links telling me they weren't dumb. If ait helps the person had a very quick response time, stuck to those fake excuses, used the same consistent images that weren't on Google when I used Google lens. They also added 1 or 2 X's after most texts to put me into a false sense of security.
Hopefully this is somewhat useful and I hope no one falls or has fallen for their scams. Attached are some of the chat logs, I use a fake name for my Facebook marketplace account for safety reasons.

I live in Manchester, UK, and I want to get a bike for cycle touring around the Peaks, Lakes, and Snowdonia. I'm not planning on very off-road routes, at most I'd be on gravel tracks or paths, but mostly it will be the roads there, though they aren't amazing condition. I don't like very thick tyres like you see on MTB or even hybrids, but just the width below. I'm not a racer but I do like pushing endurance.
I'm looking to do cycle touring routes over 3 days at a time, about 100-200km per day, so I'd like to put panniers on to carry one bag. I won't be camping, I don't think, but I'd like the option of carrying more bags in the future.
My budget is around 1000 and I'm very happy to get a second hand bike on facebook marketplace.
At the moment I'm using a heavy hybrid which doesn't suit what I want to do. I think what I need is some kind of gravel bike with touring capabilities? Something I can add panniers to and something with a mid-level tyre clearance of 30-40. I think?
If anyone could advise me of a bike or range or general direction I'd be very grateful!

Hello, My husband and I have started to watch the birds in our yard (at the edge of the woods) and are currently using a terrible pair of binoculars (8x25, I think?) I thought maybe I just didn't like binoculars because I could never see and they seem so dark. Recently, a family member came over and brought their (very old) Gemini 135 (7x35). I know these are very old and definitely not the best you can buy but it made ours look like a kids toy! So, now that I know thought it was my binoculars, not me that was the problem, id like to buy a pair.
Since we are just getting started in this hobby, I don't want to spend much. I figured once we know a bit more, we would invest in a nicer pair. I read to aim for 8x42 for birding (we will be about 25-50ft away). I really liked the ones that we tried out and they're selling a similar pair on eBay for about 30 bucks. I'm tempted to get them even though they are being sold as vintage 😂

Found out a month or two ago that over the phone, my dad and my voices are damn near indistinguishable.
It's so funny because even if I call on my phone, they still think it's my dad, because he often uses my phone to scroll Facebook marketplace- since he doesn't have Facebook.
But. I cannot tell you how absolutely hilarious it is, to create inside jokes, and stories, and facts (occasionally fake facts for fun cause I'm mean and theyre harmless facts) and tell them to my family members over call. I get to watch my dad's face as they try to talk to him about it, thinking he said it. He thinks it's hilarious (I have his permission to do it, as long as I don't say anything rude or inappropriate to anyone)
But my favorite? Is prank calling them, but with cheezy phone pranks from "unknown" numbers. Since they all know my dad's voice, right after I hang up, I hear my dad's phone ring and when he answers I just hear "Goddamnit Daniel!" Always accompanied by his laughing coming from across the house.
