I keep seeing bombastic headlines about how books are being banned in states and how terrible that is.
But most American kids have access to the internet and get shaped via unlimited engaging content from youtube, tiktok, video games, tv shows etc which will expose them to all of the "liberal"/"woke" ideals worse than books? Seems like an ineffective strategy and waste of effort? Is it just symbolic?

Hi there treehuggers. This is just thoughts and my personal observations. And obviously this is heavily discussed over many years from many angles how our brains somehow evolves to a "higher state" when using certain remidies, but I'd like to hear your thoughts nonetheless.
Whenever I'm alone (and of course depending on what I smoke) I notice my thoughts exploring different corners of my brain. I philosophize a lot even when I'm not smoking and when I have longer periods off. It's just who I am I guess. But I find it fascinating. I wonder why the experience is so different when you light up alone vs in public or with other people? I've had people I enjoyed and trusted in my past, and that was all fun and games. But the last 10 or so years, I've never felt those kind of good vibes again. I'm sure it depends a lot on who you're with and what state of mind you're in.
I tend to get overly self conscious, extremely clumsy and aware of everything before I settle into a comfortable high in public places. But I can't say it's my go-to. Is anyone else like this?
Do you feel your thoughts and views has changed, or if the increased consciousness has given you new perspectives on things and expanded your mind in any way, good or bad? If so, in which ways?

Intro

A couple of weeks ago when I saw the video about using curse recovery mastery (recover 1% of life and mana when cursing a non-cursed enemy) with replica doedre's damning to be able to recover 1% of life and mana (x amount curses you are applying) with each hit, I wanted to make Storm Brand Indigon build with it. I have now killed all the ubers a handfull of times and I think I have gotten most of the build in to good shape, but I believe there is still a lot of room for improvement and I would like to discuss about ways to improve the build in this thread.

The core of the build is Indigon with curse mastery Recover 1% of Mana when you Curse a Non-Cursed Enemy - Recover 1% of Life when you Curse a Non-Cursed Enemy. The Idea is to apply multiple curses with each hit to recover enough mana so that we can keep the Indigon stacks as high as possible. I chose Storm Brand as a skill because with one cast the brand can hit like 40 times over it's lifetime (against one enemy), and with my current setup it's 8,2 times per second which leads to 8% life and mana recovered per second per brand per curse. I currently have 4 curses on hit and we can keep two brands on boss, which gives us 8,2 hits/s * 4 curses * 2 brands = 66% of life and mana recovered each second against one mob. For my setup this comes to about 2,8k mana and 2,6k life recovered per sec.
Because our curse limit is 0 we can't rely on curses to give us ele pen, I thought it is easiest to go Inquisitor and ignore all the elemental penetration doodahs with Inevitable Judgement which makes our crits ignore enemy's elemental resistances. I thought about Hierophant from mana stacking perspective, but I just don't think there is enough value there.
The toon was originally manabond hiero, and I thought similar int/strength stacking action could be utilized here. I am currently at 1077 int and 733 strength and I get quite good amount of life, mana, ES and crit from this. I have 4,2k unreserved life, 4,5k ES and 4,1K mana.

"Problems"

The areas I would like to make better are survivability and clear speed. We have damage more than enough, and I am willing to sacrifice some of it for better QoL.
On paper I have 54k effective hit pool with MoM, or 42k without MoM. I have 66% of life and mana recovered per sec against single monster. But for some reason the build doesn't feel that tanky. It might be because the recovery is dependent on my brands hitting something, and there is a lot of situations where my brands are not hitting anything but damage is coming in. This combined with no mitigating mechanics like evasion or armor sometimes chips away the hit pool quickly. This is especially deadly if I have ramped the Indigon up to high mana cost and left to low mana without brands hitting anything, as now I am left waiting for the Indigon mana cost to ramp down so I can cast Storm Brand and get the life and mana recovery running again.
My feeling is that I would either need high mitigation, or some damage recovery mechanic. I tried switching Wrath to Determination with granite flask and Divine shield but it didn't feel like fixing the issue that well. Recoup seems to be tied to life, so its value is a bit diminished as half of my hit pool is in ES. Have not tested it. Progenesis would likely help as it gives more leeway for situations where brands are not hitting anything at that instant but have not been able to test it out yet.
The other "problem" is clear speed. I mean it is by no means bad, but I would like for it to be better. I think the problem comes from Storm Brand as a skill, as one brand can only kill a couple of mobs with each brand activation. I have taken the mastery Brands Attach to a new Enemy each time they Activate, no more than once every 0.3 seconds and invested a bit to brand attachment range, which helped a ton, but still things could be better. It might also be that I was just spoiled by my previous TS deadeye build.

Discussion

Here are couple of ideas I have considered that could be pursued on top of the ones I already mentioned before (mitigation mechanics, recoup, Progenesis).

• I have currently sockets to spare, as my Annihilating light is currently empty. This could be used for second six-linked spell or other supporting skills.
• I am also open to changing Storm Brand to some other skill if it can do decent damage, clear well and utilize the Indigon and curse recovery mastery.
• Maybe Storm Brand could be just a tool for recovery mastery to proc by using Storm Brand - Swiftbrand - Faster Casting. Though this might get clunky to keep up with the increased mana cost from Indigon and trying to cast the main skill also.
• Is the Int / Str stacking worth it, or would there be better alternatives?

Any thoughts? No need to restraint the ideas to things I have already thought of.

note 1: the build guide says the package comes with stabilizer shim but it didn't. However you should be fine as long as you use 1.2mm stabs.

Hello, Im homebrewing a giant swarm of rats, and i was thinking if it had legendary actions itd help make it a better challenge for my players. It currently has the ability to shed rats forming normal swarms of rats, and a multiattack, but i was wondering if anyon had ideas for legendary actions befitting a giant swarm of rats. Its appearance is basically magically augmented where the rats form a giant humanoid shape.

In The pandemic i(amab 20) was super depressed cuz i couldnt see my friends was studying an online course that i hated while doing college and working for free with my dad, i felt guilty to even to out to buy bread for everyone cuz if i caught covid i could infect everyone, thus i just didnt go out and lost friendships, and my mental health too a dip and started questioning stuff, like how mom never NEVER gave a serious apology unless it made me feel bad and trauma bonded, like when I kept saying i couldnt do all the stuff i needed to do, cuz adhd stress and autism, she kept saying YOU HAVE TO DO IT YOU CAN DO IT , and when i trully tried and got Max grades she said "you only did your obligation... I I MEAN good job my son keep doing it(in a falsa você of compasion) then i focused only in college and forgot the rest, she complained but eventualy said i should focus on college instead of the course, i was happy cuz i could sleep, then she dug trough my stuff and found what she didnt like, a skirt , it helped me to calm down , she screamed at me asked if i wanted to be raped and beaten to a pulp, how she needed a man, and that i should trow it out, all while i was crying, 2 days later she trew it out... after a little while i tried to understand her side and try tô speak... i said i was depressed and felt Hurt even suicidal cuz of the stuff she did and said... i didnt like being called a pervert while she dug trough MY STUFF . I hope that the Bungie developers and all involved with Destiny can get involved too. I’d love to have their insight as well as the community members.
Cayde-6 returning is fantastic but I can see why it had to be done and it’s purely because of the unexpected and huge loss of Lance Reddick. Bungie never ever predicted to lose Reddick as it happened. First, my thoughts to all affected with his passing.
Bungie has had to surely bring back Cayde-6 and Nathan Fillion in a way it works. From this teaser, Ikora is the only one so far that found a way into the portal. Maybe our Guardian too either before or close after to what we saw in the teaser.
I have had a theory that Ikora and her ghost before going through the portal transmatted Cayde-6 after Zavala dies, feeling alone. With Sloane returning and taken over Zavala’s role as Commander after his death, Ikora still don’t feel herself without Zavala or Cayde-6.
In a bid of hope what’s on the other side of the portal, she and the ghost go through the portal successfully. She then sets up a campfire and small camp seen in the teaser. Ikora asks the ghost to transmat Cayde-6 on the ground. She pulls out a mug which has blue liquid in. Nearby is the River of Souls that Cloudstrider Nimbus mentioned to Osiris.
Ikora mixes the blue liquid with the water from the River of Souls. She starts to pour this liquid through Cayde-6’s mouth. Also nearby is the shattered Ace of Spades. She starts assembling the gun with the liquid. To her amazement, the Ace of Spades sticks together as it used to be with a bright blue glow. She then sees Cayde-6 returning to life and also repairing / healing himself.
Cayde-6 then gets up and sees Ikora. “Ikora! I’m so glad to see you. How long have I been out for the count?”
Ikora took a while to respond still looking shocked but her depressed state still shows. Finally she replies, “A very long time, Cayde! You missed a hell of a lot.”
“Care to give me a full debriefing?” Cayde-6 asks. “I don’t even know where to begin! Ikora says.
By this point the dialog in the cutscene from the teaser comes in.
While they are both in through the portal, Sloane and the others are worried Ikora didn’t make it and tried their best to communicate with Ikora over the secure communications without success.
Sloane then assigns the Guardian to investigate whether Ikora was successful or not and was told to report back.
What I will say is we all do not know as Destiny players the theories what happened to The Witness at the point. Will we find out with the seasons between Deep and Final Shape? I hope we do get the insight.
