I Rode a Recumbent Trike!

I Rode a Recumbent Trike!
Yesterday I tried something new and different, and honestly a bit scary in a weird way. A few years ago, when I was at the mall, I saw the "Ability Gym,” hosted by a local adaptive sports organization. I thought that, perhaps, the gym could be beneficial to me, but kept hesitating. To be honest, I've never quite known how to answer the question, "Do you have a disability?" I mean, can I do everything I want and need to do with minimal assistance? Yes. Do I have some limitations? Yes. Can I fully participate in sports and activities with my "able-bodied" peers? No. I really can't. At least not on any "competitive" level. And I never considered myself to have an "official" diagnosis, because I was always told all my problems were related, but no one knew how. But now, I think it's pretty safe to say I could fall under the broad category of "orthopedic disability."
(VERY short version: Didn't walk until I was two-and-a-half, major surgery on both hips for hip dysplasia at 9 years old, which, ideally is caught before 6 months old, and, possibly related but no one knows for sure, left hip replacement at age 29. Just turned 40 in May)
So I inquired (way back in like... 2019) and was told that a lot of people have a similar story to mine... limitations, but no solid diagnosis. So I started the process and then "chickened out." I didn't want to be seen as taking advantage of something that I don't really qualify for. Well, a few weeks ago, I finally reached out again. I was assured by multiple people that, given my history, I would indeed qualify. In fact, when I expressed the hesitancy I mentioned above, one of them emailed me and said, "Would you like me to text a reminder to you to remind you that you are welcome to our events?!! ;) " They didn't have any spots open in the "Ability Gym," but they had other events I could try. So yesterday I participated in their "Bikes & Boats" event at a local park with a lake. I rode a recumbent trike for the first time, and did a bit of kayaking! For the biking, they have "Shadow Riders" who ride with you, to help you out, and kind of make sure no one runs you over. My Shadow Rider was Macie. I'm still not sure I have the hang of the steering, and I may have only ridden 1/2 a mile, but I made it move! And I may have only kayaked for a few minutes and gone about 20 feet out, but I didn't get myself stranded in the middle of the lake (a legit fear of mine at first) I was super nervous, but also excited. Anyway, I had SO much fun, met some amazing people, and want to try again some time. And next week? I'm going to try rock climbing at a local rock climbing gym with the same organization.
(P.S. I know this post goes beyond just recumbent bikes, and I hope that’s okay, but I’ve come to love the Reddit community and wanted to find a place to post. This seemed like the best fit.)

2023.05.31 18:12 Dunsteen Shaft Extensions. Good or bad?

Do shaft extensions create problems with shaft flex, swing weight, etc? Or is it negligible?
I recently got fit for irons and at 6’4 my specs are +1.5” and 2° upright.
I realized that my wedge gapping will be off with my new PW at 46°. So I’ve been thinking I also “need” new wedges.
Found a good deal on barely used Mizuno wedges with the loft and bounce I want, but would have to get the length & lie adjusted. Would adding shaft extensions (plugs) massively change the swing weight, shaft kick point, etc? Or is it cool to go with this approach?

2023.05.27 23:42 b6b6b Help!! First ebike purchase for a short rider: Blix Aveny Skyline or no?

I've been looking around for a while now and came down to liking the Blix Aveny Skyline the most from a visual aesthetic standpoint, but am still not 100% sure if the specs match the price. I know there are probably better bikes with specs but I haven't found too many I truly gravitate toward yet. I was hoping to get an opinion from others with more experience because I might be getting biased purely from the way the bike looks. Should I get it or not? Anyone have experience with Blix & their bikes?
I'm 5'2" 115 lb female. I'll be using this bike recreationally/exercise on mostly flat pavement, open roads and slight hills. Would also would like to use for commuting or groceries. The only thing I don't like about the Aveny it is the weight (56.5 lb, but balances out with walk assist mode) and the price- am just worried if its worth it for its current specs/components. Is this really the best ebike I can get for that price point and also has a pleasing cruiser bike look to it? (Currently its at $1799 but actually $1900 after tax + $50 off coupon).

Things I'm looking out for:
The other bikes I've also liked while looking around, but have doubts about:
Sorry for the long post, but I'm hoping to take advantage of any sales thats going on this memorial day weekend, so let me know if you guys have any thoughts or suggestions! Thank you in advance!!

2023.05.26 14:06 SlightlyQuarky Miele options and any alternatives

Hi VacuumCleaners, I'm looking for some UK purchase advice to replace a Vax Mach Air Revive that I loathe which has been in my house since before I moved in. My main complaints for it are how heavy/cumbersome it is, how little the hose extends (I often switch to crevice/brush tools to get around and under things), and how for a bagless upright it's a huge pain to empty because of the filter drum.
My house is a ~1000 square foot two-story almost entirely hardwood/tile, with the occasional low-pile small bathroom rug. I only vacuum every other week and usually try to do the whole house. No pets, no allergies.
Budget is a bit weird. I was gifted a 100GBP voucher for the UK department store John Lewis, which has a decent but also fairly limited selection of vacuums, and as such I'm probably looking for a vacuum not more than ~250-300GBP (and then use the voucher to pay 150-200 max). The prices for John Lewis are a bit here and there but I figure without any extreme sales I might as well take any upselling because of the voucher I have.
I originally fell for the stick vacuum hype and was considering getting a Dyson V8, but at the price (~320GBP) and lack of (in my eyes) power-on time, combined with the low volume, I have been interested in a canister given the hose flexibility and general ease of use.
At the moment, my eyes are set on the Miele Complete C2 Cat & Dog (249GBP), as though I have no need for the extra turbobrush head, the ability to store the other attachments inside the body of the vacuum is much more appealing to me than the other Miele's listed on John Lewis - the Classic C1 Flex (169GBP) and the Compact C2 Flex (209GBP), which as far as I can tell, store the attachments via a clip at the base of the hose. The Complete C3 Allergy (329GBP) and Complete C3 Cat & Dog (389GBP) are also available but I feel like I don't have the need to justify jumping up to that price range.
Any and all recommendations are welcome!

2023.05.25 21:07 Tickstart First day on the maneuver course

So just had my first visit to the maneuver course where you train for Trafikverket's low- & high speed tests and the brake test before you take the actual test in traffic. The low speed maneuverability test was much harder than I thought. For those uninformed (lågfartsbana): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCMS1i8lDoQ
The SV650s we use are kinda heavy (even though they're not really, compared to some) and at those low speeds of 3-5 km/h you need to stay at, it's so difficult to turn the handlebars because of the friction against the asphalt (am I just weak or what?). I find it hard to keep my balance, I usually put my foot down (=fail) once I reach full steering lock and the bike keeps tipping over. The other option is to release the clutch some more and gain speed to upright it, which is also a fail, usually. So bottom line is I fail the test. Watching the video though I did not lean my body to the side like he does, perhaps that would've helped. I'm just disappointed in myself. I thought I'd do better. I also need to keep my eyesight pointed higher up.
What are your tips for slow speed maneuvering?

2023.05.25 18:09 femike99 XR4 Front End Conversion?

I apologize for posting this in multiple groups...
Unfortunately, my aging back, will not allow me to get down into the cock pit of my XR4. Has anyone converted the integrated stem & bar combination to a conventional stem and bar? Is it even possible?
My other bike is a S-Works Roubaix with a more upright, endurance geometry. I can ride this with some success, although, still not perfect.
Thanks in advance for your input.

2023.05.23 14:58 Superb-Falafel-2249 HELP: Riding Recumbent Bike with Disabled Teen

From a friend:
I need help. My 16 year old son has multiple disabilities and I simply cannot find a way to bring him along with me on my recumbent bike/trike rides anymore. When he was little, a typical kid’s bike trailer worked. Then I modified a Weehoo recumbent trailer with a 5-point harness out of a race car. I ride a recumbent due to an old back injury.
Can all y’all help me brainstorm solutions? Is there such a thing as a recumbent cargo bike/trike that I could put his medical car seat in? I hate the idea of him not being able to come along on rides with me…but I’ve exhausted my mental & physical resources. Thanks for ANY ideas! Feel free to comment with pictures of products that might work, links, and share this with anyone who might have an idea.

Some people dread the thought of including a fitness routine in to their already busy schedules. It can be a lot easier than it seems if you have the right information. You will find that this article will provide you with tips to help make fitness fit in to your daily life.
Before doing an exercise, especially one you've never done before, be sure to find out the correct best collagen powder form and amount of resistance you should be using. Often times, this is best checked by watching your movements in a mirror or having a friend or partner help you. Incorrect form can lead to limited results or injury.
Try to work out in the morning. Why? Anything can happen to you during the day that makes you tired, stressed and flat out reluctant to exercise. By starting your day with exercise, you get it out of the way and it's done. You can go on with the rest of your day knowing you've already done something good for your body.
You should always work out with a partner. This is because they will give you motivation to actually go to the gym regularly. It is also important to bring them because they will spot you on things like a bench press so you do not end up hurting yourself.
You can build bigger biceps by bending your wrists slightly when you are doing arm curls with dumbbells. When your doing your arm curls, best collagen powder for weight loss extend the wrists backwards slightly, and hold them like that. This slight change of movement will make your biceps work harder, thus, building bigger biceps.
Learn to properly use exercise equipment. This is important because you want to make sure that you get the most out of the machines and that you aren't wasting your time by using them improperly. If you have access to the manual, briefly read it before using equipment. If you're at a gym, a staff member should be available to explain how to use each machine.
Use light exercise to recover from a hard muscle workout the day prior. Make sure you are exercising the same muscles as you did the day prior. Light weight is about 20% of what you originally used for lifting at one time. Use these light weights to do two sets of 25 repetitions to create more blood flow to repair your hurt muscles.
Don't just focus strength building on machine weights. It takes a couple of years to actually see anbest collagen powder for hair increase of strength on these types of machines. Studies also show that many older adults who rely them had a 3.5% loss of strength in everyday activities.
To increase your running speed, you should try to increase your running stride speed. Do not try to increase the strides length. When running, your foot should always touch under your body, not in front of you. For propulsion, be sure to push off using the toes on your rear leg.
If you're having trouble fitting exercise into a busy schedule, get a pedometer and wear it all day. Then take every opportunity to walk a little extra, for instance, parking a block away from your destination. Experts say you should walkbest collagen peptides powder for skin about 10,000 steps a day and a pedometer can help you keep track and reach this goal, a little bit at a time.
When rock or wall climbing, a great tip is to purchase shoes that fit your feet so tight that you can stand, however, you can not walk comfortably. Wearing shoes this tight will: give you the best control; and will help you use your legs in the most efficient way. Using your legs is crucial when climbing.
A great way to build up the muscles in your legs is to perform squats. Squats can be an essential part of any work out, but they have to be performed correctly. If they are not performed correctly, you might end up injuring yourself and not getting the best workout.

— Individual Team News + Stone’s Cold Takes
— Miscellaneous/Other NFL News
— Restaurant of the Week - Green Bay

Arizona Cardinals:
Not too much news out of the team this week. It will be interesting to see a new face punting the ball as Andy Lee has been there for the past 6 years. Less news from this organization is a good thing and hopefully it means that things are continuing to progress well with Murray’s rehab.
Atlanta Falcons:
Many folks were surprised that the Falcons were considering and ended up being one of the favorites to draft Bijan Robinson because of the great rookie year that Tyler Algeier had. Even though taking a running back at the 8th overall pick was early it does make sense when you think about how most teams have that have a good running game typically have a 1-2 punch. The Browns had Chubb and Kamara, Cowboys had Pollard and Elliott, Niners had McCaffrey and Mitchell, etc. It will be interesting to see how snaps are split here and hopefully how having each other will help lengthen their careers not having to run the ball an absurd amount of times per game.
Baltimore Ravens:
Clearly OBJ and Zay Flowers are hoping to change the stat about not having a pro bowl wide receiver and they should be able to help each other out. I am curious to know more about the Lamar Jackson comment and if he just considered joining another team or if he was actually in contact with a couple of other teams this offseason. There were the most rumors of him going to the Vikings or the Colts if he were to leave Baltimore before he signed his new contract.
Buffalo Bills:
We are still talking about Hopkins. It seems like people don’t want to let this one go. I don’t know if there is much truth to it still be something that could potentially happen or if it just keeps coming up still because it was such a hot topic a few weeks ago. In other news it will be fun to see TE Dalton Kincaid and how he gets used more as a weapon rather than a traditional tight end. I am wondering though if he will still get invited and be able to go to Tight End university because then he will be able to work QB Josh Allen even more who appears to be extremely excited about the addition to the team.
Carolina Panthers:
Not too much news here which is probably a good thing because it should allow QB Bryce Young to focus as much as he can. The organization seems to know what they are doing and if anyone can help a young quarterback to succeed this would be the staff and organization in my mind. They have great coaches, solid veterans in the locker room, and often are a team that doesn’t get too much media attention.
Chicago Bears:
It will be fun to see how joint practices go for the defenses of both teams because of the mobility of each quarterback. I know they probably won’t be allowed to take off and run really but will be good to see the quarterbacks working on their pocket presence and see how they do maybe when they have their legs taken away from them. WR Darnell Mooney does need to “ball out” this year because there are a lot more weapons in. Chicago now and he may end up being the odd man out if he can’t put together a good season.
Cincinnati Bengals:
I don’t expect Joe Burrow’s extension to get done until the very end of the offseason right before they have to report because that seems to be his agent’s style. Also, it would make sense that he tries to hold out and be the last one because he should get the most money. It will be interesting to see what his contract looks like because there have been a lot of rumors about him getting more money than anyone else and also being willing to take a very team friendly deal so that other guys can get paid as well. I wonder if they will try and sign him to something longer term so that they can kick out the cap hits for when the salary cap has increased. Will be interesting to see how it gets structured and how they are able to take care of his teammates that he is helping in their negotiations.
Cleveland Browns:
Obviously the biggest news here was the passing of all time great RB Jim Brown. He will definitely be remembered by many as one of if not the greatest running back of all time. Still on the topic of running backs the Browns have emerged as a team that could be interested in Ezekiel Elliott. I hadn’t thought about them before but I can actually see the fit here and think that they have done a good job keeping Chubb healthy and having a guy like Zeke as their #2 may continue that trend. Also, in my opinion it was much better for this team to get Za’Darius Smith rather than just sign Melvin Ingram. The fit and overall product will be much better with Smith at the end of the day.
Dallas Cowboys:
Good news for Cowboys fans that probably does not come as a surprise but WR Michael Gallup having nagging injuries last year definitely would explain why there was such a lack of production. Having him fully healthy alongside Lamb will be dangerous especially since this offense hasn’t struggled to put up a lot of points the past few seasons. I am excited to see what the new position will entail for Parsons and how he will be lining up. Wherever he ends up he will definitely be a difference maker.
Denver Broncos:
The Broncos are getting the best news possible when it comes to Javonte Williams over the past couple of months. It has sounded like the message has been pretty consistently that while no one wants to rush him, he will be back and ready for training camp. Having him available makes everyone’s lives easier, especially QB Russell Wilson’s. In the past Wilson has always thrived with a good run game and should make it easier for him to be able to take his deep shots like he used to do regularly in Seattle. The other bit I wanted to write about here is the potential interest in Jadeveon Clowney. I think Denver would be the perfect place for him in order to help bolster their d-line. HC Sean Payton would be good for him too because he wouldn’t let him get away with anything and there would be the expectation of hard work.
Detroit Lions:
Not too much news here but it sounds like things are progressing well for C Frank Ragnow. He almost the whole season after getting injured in game 1 of last year. Hopefully he can continue to progress well and that there won’t be any lingering long term effects.
Green Bay Packers:
I agree with them wanting to keep LB Quay Walker busy between snaps but part of it I think should just come naturally as he matures and get used to the NFL. It was not surprise to hear that the whole playbook will utilized with QB Jordan Love because this is not like some new rookie QB coming in like most folks end up with. He has had 2 years with the offense already so should know things about as well as anyone on the team.
Houston Texans:
Another interesting potential spot for Clowney. While I think HC DeMeco Ryans would be able to get the most out of him I would worry more about him here than if he was with Denver because I think as a young rebuilding team culture is more important and I would be unsure of the culture fit. At the end of the day talent is talent and maybe Ryans could unlock some of that potential that Clowney has flashed in the past.
Indianapolis Colts:
Great to hear that former WR and now coach Reggie Wayne will has more of a voice this year in meetings and with the team. Now the team needs to get him some more WRs to work with. The product on the field should be better this year though with Josh Downs now joining the room. Hopefully they can help bring QB Anthony Richardson along who appear to be progressing well according to some of his teammates including QB Gardner Minshew.
Jacksonville Jaguars:
Not much news here but would be good if they could find a way to get Jonah Williams away from the Bengals. I don’t feel like QB Trevor Lawrence should really count as a “dark horse” for MVP but can understand why he may get overlooked with some of the other marquee names and talents he has to go up against for the award.
Kansas City Chiefs:
Frank Clark has brought this up a couple times now. Feel like it definitely makes a return to KC a lot more difficult but I imagine the door has not closed completely on it. We shall see how things progress.
Las Vegas Raiders:
Interesting week for the Raiders. Fan favorite WR Hunter Renfrow appears to be someone that will no longer be with the team this year despite in my mind being Jimmy G’s kind of receiver. Also, WR Davante Adams is not happy with someone in the organization after openly criticizing the team’s direction this past week. I imagine it has to do more with Josh McDaniels than it does ownership/GM because he came out and praised them shortly after he spoke out but failed to mention his head coach. Hopefully whatever is going on gets worked out because this team has a lot of potential but needs to find a way to put it all together and win more of the close games this year.
Los Angeles Chargers:
The commute for players will be a lot shorter here soon. Th El Segundo practice facility will allow for folks to not have to pick whether they want to live close to the stadium or the practice facility. Signing DL Nick Williams was a good get and will add depth.
Los Angeles Rams:
Not much news here besides many folks criticizing QB Stetson Bennett for not having graduated after his extended amount of time in college. Check back next week for hopefully more news other than that.
Miami Dolphins:
Not much news here either. HC Mike McDaniel did a good job hyping up the Miami Heat fans though Sunday night as they took a 3-0 series lead. Looking forward to how he hypes this Dolphins team up as they take on what is likely the toughest division in football this year.
Minnesota Vikings:
Sure seems like things inevitably heading towards RB Dalvin Cook not being on the team next year. I feel like there is still a chance though it is via trade rather than him getting cut but we shall see. I think Alexander Mattison is a great back but there is definitely going to be a drop off in a running back play between him and Cook. I am all for them wanting to get Danielle Hunter taken care of. They need to keep him especially after all of the other defensive departures this year.
New England Patriots:
This offseason even though the division has gotten a lot tougher has been much more positive for the team. I really think most of the difference is just in having an actual offensive coordinator. RB Ty Montgomery would be fun to see as the 3rd down back and has showed flashes of greatness but has not really ever broken out enough to solidify himself as a key difference maker and go to guy. Belichick often finds ways though to make those types of guys key so could be an exciting year for him.
New Orleans Saints:
It is a good thing RB Kendre Miller thinks he can do the same things as RB Alvin Kamara because having them both along with Taysom Hill if that is the case would probably make this backfield the best in the NFL. It is amazing to see the progress of things with TE Foster Moreau’s turnaround from cancer diagnosis to potentially being ready for OTA’s. WR Michael Thomas being back by training camp would be huge and signing WR James Washington is definitely a nice to have. On the defensive side of the ball this team needs to get the extension done with DE Cameron Jordan because he is the heart and soul of the defense and they lost a couple key pieces this offseason.
New York Giants:
Not much news here this week. Brian Daboll being the one who initiated the trade to move up and get WR Jalin Hyatt is significant because he has been a good judge of talent in the past and typically knows who he wants. Hopefully Daniel Jones can establish himself more and figure out who is his go to #1 receiver on this team.
New York Jets:
Interesting how after some harsh criticism from Becton about coaches last year he is now more excited than ever for this season. Good to see that things are trending positively and it appears the whole team shares the same excitement thanks to the addition of Aaron Rodgers. Great job by the team to free up an additional almost $13m in cap space with Carl Lawson’s contract getting restructured. Haven’t heard about or from QB Zach Wilson since Rodgers joined which should be a good thing because it will let him develop out of the spotlight a bit.
Philadelphia Eagles:
I am sure a lot of Eagles fans were holding their breath when they heard the news about AJ Brown almost being hit by a car. Thankfully nothing happened and he is working on becoming a complete WR this offseason. Exciting to hear LB Nakobe Dean say the team is feeling more like the hunter than the hunted and that QB Jalen Hurts is only more motivated after his big contract. RT Lane Johnson being cleared is good news and means that the o-line will have its shutdown tackle back in place with plenty of time to spare.
Pittsburgh Steelers:
Made some good moves here extending Trubisky and signing back Rudolph. Those two are good veteran quarterbacks who shouldn’t distract Pickett and be good mentors. There aren’t going to be folks calling for them to come in and play unless things end up going really badly. Excited for the upcoming season and to see how Pickett has progressed.
San Francisco 49ers:
This week the praise was all for QB Trey Lance. The week started out with him being one of the two main quarterbacks that will be throwing at George Kittle’s tight end university in Tennessee and ended with glowing reviews about his tweaked throwing motion, work ethic, and character from coach Christensen who he has been working with in his workouts with Patrick Mahomes. Good to hear that RB Christian McCaffrey is as happy as can be pretty much with the Niners and exciting for the city that they will be most likely be getting the Super Bowl in 2026.
Seattle Seahawks:
To the surprise of no one it sounds like the Seahawks view Smith-Njigba more as a slot. I still see it being likely that he will primarily play slot but occasionally split out wide because they may want to put Lockett in the slot occasionally and/or see who Smith-Njigba handles being on the outside. Either way he should end up being a threat wherever he lines up.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Not much news out of here but it appears that most expect QB Baker Mayfield to win the starting job. We shall see then if the extremely confident Kade Warner is able to establish some early chemistry with Mayfield and find his way onto the field this season.
Tennessee Titans:
Exciting to see a lot of these XFL guys get signed to deals after having good years playing there. I am curious to see how things go with those players though and injuries because of how much later in the year things end compared to those players who are doing college ball. Hopefully there is no significant difference but definitely something to keep an eye on. Titans don’t appear to be messing around it sounds like as they are already putting in work with the intense workouts. Sounds like a similar philosophy to what was used in Detroit last year.
Washington Commanders:
Good to see some more football related news here this week with CB Emmanuel Forbes impressing in practice and them announcing that they will have joint practices with the Ravens. In other news it sounds like they will not face any penalties after their comments about Andrew Luck.

Miscellaneous/Other NFL News:

Restaurant of the Week: (Green Bay - Sammy's Pizza & Italian Restaurant)
I feel like good Italian food is just about unbeatable. This week from Green Bay where one may not be expecting to be getting good Italian, I give you Sammy’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant. Everything on the menu here is handmade and they have not changed the recipes since 1958. They have even brought in some machines that they use in from places like Rome. While their handmade pizza is their most popular thing I am sucker for some good gnocchi and here it will not disappoint! I prefer it with their homemade sausage but you cannot go wrong with their meatballs either. Another huge bonus is that it is located within 0.5 miles of the stadium making it an easy about 10 minute walk. They are open from 11am to 8pm on Sundays and 11am to 9pm every other day of the week. Now go get yourself some good Italian food and start planning your trip to go try this place.

Can you put these onto a Marlin?
If so, did give the bike more of an upright position?

2023.05.15 04:59 kntathuufng88 We Found Gold in Jeddah - Part II: The Show

Aw yeah, folks! Blood money galore, let's get it! Fireworks shoot off in the distance as Michael Cole welcomes the fans to Night of Champions! Presented by Pitbull!
Unsanctioned: Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes
The bell rings, and Brock Lesnar immediately rushes Cody, trapping and throwing him across the ring with a belly to belly suplex! He grabs the American Nightmare, and lands a huge German suplex after, flexing a bit as Cody shows how rocked he is. Brock shoves Cody's face to the mat, before picking him up deadlift style, ANOTHER GERMAN! He holds the grip, getting back to his feet, before dropping him with another German! Brock gets back to his feet, and slams Cody back to the mat with a fourth German suplex! Brock gets back up and throws Rhodes to the floor, his head smacking against the ground in a nasty way.
Lesnar chills out in the ring for a minute, before leaving and looking for his prey. He relocates Cody, huddled up near the steel steps, and tries to grab at him, only to eat a shot with a chair to his torso! Cody smashes the chair over Brock's back a few times, watching as he stumbles back to his feet! Cody gets a running start, hopping onto the apron and leaping on Brock back first! They both crash to the floor, and Rhodes does a passionate ground and pound, getting good shots in on Lesbar's face. Cody's rage is uncontained, and he lets loose, Lesnar overwhelmed for a moment. But the Beast is still the Best, and he throws Cody off him once he adjusts to his attacks.
Lesnar sighs and grabs him from behind, slamming him with another German, followed by another! Cody grabs at the apron, looking to stand up and regroup, but Brock quickly stomps him out, before finding the steel chair from earlier and wailing on him with it. He jabs the chair into Cody's face, drawing blood and finally getting a clear form of revenge for Backlash. Brock rams him into the barricade back first, before Brock starts to smash his skull into the guardrail. Cody is in agony, as the Beast Incarnate backs away from him, watching him like a hawk as he slowly gets back to his feet. As soon as Cody starts leaning against the barricade, Brock runs like the wind, looking to end the American Nightmare! SPEAR THROUGH THE BARRICADE, OH MY GOD!
Lesnar throws Cody out of the rubble, tossing him into the other barricade! He aims forearms and elbows at Rhodes' head, blasting him in the temple with huge fists! Brock tears off his MMA gloves, and gives Cody unprotected shots, it's looking ugly the deeper this match goes on. The referee pleads with Brock, asking him to let the doctor tend to Cody. Doc asks Cody if he can continue, trying his best to patch him up! After about a minute, Cody responds, refusing to give in, saying he'll keep going. The referee puts on gloves as he stands up, looking at how bad the damage is. Lesnar, tired of this, throws the referee out of the way and advances, look of anger on his face before he puts him away! But Cody spills over the barricade, ending up in the stands as Brock clenches his jaw. Pissed off, he hops the barricade, following Cody as he crawls through the crowd area, slowly drawing Lesnar away from the ring. Seemingly trapping him in a production area, Brock approaches, only to get a face full of foam! Cody sprays a fire extinguisher at him, throwing him off the trail and pushing him back.
Cody follows Brock back into the ring, and quickly hits a Disaster Kick! He Knicks Lesnar down, but he's already trying to get back up! He runs, another Disaster Kick incoming, only for Lesnar to recover and catch him on his shoulders! He's looking for the F5, he wants to put him away! F5 CONNECTS! It's over, it's all over! Brock goes for the pin, ready to put Cody away. 1… 2… KICK OUT, WHAT? Brock, angry now, pulls Cody back up to his feet, and rocks him with another German suplex! He tries to go for another one, but Rhodes flips out, landing on his feet! He dodges Brock's attack, hits the ropes, CODY CUTTER CONNECTS, DEVASTATING MOVE! crowd going ballistic, Cody looks to finish the job, SURPRISING BROCK WITH A CROSS RHODES! 1… 2… LESNAR KICKS OUT!
Brock is slumped, but Cody doesn't know else to do. He pulls Brock to his feet, setting up for another Cross Rhodes, looking to vanquish the Beast twice in a row! He looks to hit it, but Brock counters and locks in the Kimura! The crowd is on the edge of its seat, watching as Cody finds himself in another predicament. Desperate, Cody tries to do what he did at Backlash, but Brock immediately let's go, breaking off from Rhodes as the two separate! Cody scrambles to his feet, ONLY TO GET PUNTED IN THE BALLS! Rhodes yells out in pain, but Brock silences him with another trilogy of Germans and one last dominant F5. 1… 2… 3.

World Tag Team Championships: KO & Sami © vs David & Goliath vs Alpha Academy
It's a real car crash of a match as everyone tries to get their stuff in. The big boys collide for some very chaotic and bombastic action. Owens and Strowman engaging in a power struggle as Otis tries to brute force his way past the two more seasoned veterans. Ricochet and Gable go back and forth in a smooth exchange, but Sami and Gable is where the technical prowess shines the most. In spot of the night, Strowman climbs the ropes as Ricochet climbs his shoulders, the rest of the field brawling below at ringside. Ricochet stands up on his shoulders, and IMMEDIATELY HITS A SHOOTING STAR, TAKING OUT EVERYONE! Ricochet and Strowman try their best, stealing the show in the process. But ultimately, KO & Sami cleans house, hitting Stunner and Helluva Kick combo on Otis to win the match and retain the titles.

United States Championship: Austin Theory © vs Sheamus vs LA Knight vs Butch
The match is a showstopper, the crowd gluing their eyes to the action. Theory and Butch clash, two young stars the future of WWE as they do battle. Sheamus and Knight clash again, Sheamus trying to use his strength to take Knight out of the conversation. Within minutes, both men are casualties of war, destroying one another after physical and hateful exchanges. All four men let loose, fighting as if their life depended on it. The match goes on for a good fourteen minutes, all four able to show off their stuff and give the crowd something to remember.
In the end, Knight tries the Gravy Train, but Butch escapes, flipping out of the move and hitting an enziguri! Butch tries to finish Knight off, but the big mouth motherfucker nails him with a low blow, before following up with a brutal Gravy Train! INTO THE COVER! 1… 2… DIVING HEADBUTT FROM SHEAMUS BREAKS IT UP! OUT GOES KNIGHT TO RINGSIDE! Sheamus looks down at his mate, prone and vulnerable in this match. The Celtic Warriors thinks about his next move, waiting a few seconds as he considers if he should take advantage.
Finally just saying fuck it, he pounds his chest, ready to become US Champion. Butch rises to his feet. BROGUE KI- BUTCH ESCAPES, SCHOOLBOY! 1… 2… KICKOUT! Sheamus scrambles to his feet, and gets BLASTED with a forearm to the back of the head! Butch, full of adrenaline, picks up his own partner and drops him with the Bitter End! It's over! It's over! 1… 2… A STEEL CHAIR JUST NAILS BUTCH IN THE GUT! Theory smashes Butch with the chair a couple more times, before jumping onto Sheamus as the referee starts to count. 1… 2… 3! Theory, you son of a bitch!

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Finn Balor
The match runs for more than fifteen minutes, both Balor and Nakamura pushing each other to the limit with intense back and forth action here. One of the biggest spots of the match saw Balor avoiding an elevated Kinshasa and responding with a nasty Pele kick to the back of Nakamura’s head! Balor follows up with a fireman’s carry getting reversed as Nakamura slips down Balor’s back and shoves him. Balor turns around, and gets dropped by a shoot kick to the chest! Nakamura picks him back up for the huge Inverted Powerslam into the near-fall.
Much like their previous encounter in NXT, it seems like Nakamura’s about to fire off the Kinshasa, BUT BALOR DODGES, IMMEDIATELY HITS A SHOTGUN DROPKICK! Balor rises to his feet, ONLY TO SEE SHINSUKE STORM OUT OF THE CORNER, FIGHTING SPIRIT ACTIVATED! KINSHAS- NO, FINN REVERSES IT INTO THE PELE KICK AND ANOTHER SHOTGUN DROPKICK AFTERWARDS! He heads up top, but he's stopped by Nakamura on the top rope, the two men battling it out as the crowd eggs them on. Nakamura lands the headbutt as he looks to knock Nakamura down to the ground… BUT Finn ANSWERS WITH A HEADBUTT OF HIS OWN! HE KNOCKS OFF NAK! COUP DE GRACE CONNECTS! 1… 2… 3!

Intercontinental Championship: GUNTHER © vs Johnny Gargano
Gargano and GUNTHER have a Match of The Year candidate, with GUNTHER being the unstoppable bulldozer and Johnny being the savvy technical wizard. GUNTHER hits a huge German suplex, before caving Gargano's chest in with brutal chops and clubs. Gargano fights him off, landing dropkicks, enziguris, before hopping up onto the top rope to deliver a crossbody to the towering monster! Johnny goes out to the apron, before doing a slingshot, hopping back in to connect with a DDT, ONE FINAL BEAT, NO! GUNTHER throws him off, but Johnny comes right back with a dropkick to the temple! With the Austrian Bull reeling, Johnny goes to the top rope, looking for a big move to finish it off. He gets up the turnbuckles, ready to land it, but GUNTHER rushes him, once again hitting a huge chop to the torso! With Johnny subdued, GUNTHER climbs up with him, landing forearms to make sure he stays down.
He finally balances himself on the top rope, and sets Johnny up, before hitting the avalanche butterfly suplex! GUNTHER follows up, bouncing off the ropes and deliver two straight knee drops to the face. Fatigued, GUNTHER himself begins climbing up the top rope, hoping to hit a diving knee drop and put him away for good. But being the huge, tired beast that he is, the Ring General takes some time going out to the apron and climbing the ropes. Just as he gets ready on the top turnbuckle, Johnny Gargano kips up and rushes, delivering a blistering forearm right to GUNTHER's jaw! Paying him back for thwarting his own aerial move, Gargano lands a barrage of elbows and forearms, before slapping the Ring General! Johnny climbs up with him, continuing to beat him until GUNTHER's unresponsive. Johnny stacks him up, and the fans begin to call out wildly, knowing something big is about to happen. Johnny somehow, some way gets him up on his shoulders, prompting even more fans to go crazy. He yells out himself, the Rebel Heart holding up the 275 pound monster... AVALANCHE ARM DRAG! JOHNNY WRESTLING GOES FOR THE COVER! 1... 2... GUNTHER KICKS OUT!
Both men slowly get back up to their feet and once again get into the brawl. They go back and forth, forearms and elbows, and soon enough, the two men are leaking from their noses and mouths. Johnny slaps away GUNTHER's chop, and quickly jumps onto him, locking in the Garga-No Escape! He wrenches his hands back, but doesn't have much time to try and tap him out before GUNTHER backs him into a corner! Johnny lets go of the arm, but the Austrian Bull once again rams him into the turnbuckles! He pulls the Rebel Heart out, before quickly stacking him up, landing a huge buckle bomb! Johnny is about to crumble to his feet, but GUNTHER lands a gut kick, stacks him up once again, and connects with a second buckle bomb! Shaking out his arm, GUNTHER lands a big chop right to Johnny's chest, sending him down to his knees in pain! The Ring General rallies, lifting Johnny up until his feet are in the air, dangling, at his opponent's mercy, or lack thereof. GUNTHER drops Gargano on his head, connecting with a Fire Thunder Driver! He goes for the cover, forcing Johnny's shoulders down... 1... 2... 3. The Ring General has given the Rebel Heart cardiac arrest.

Undisputed Championship: Roman Reigns © vs AJ Styles
Yeah we doing this. Fuck a tag title match, does Paul Heyman have Adam Pearce in a chastity cage in kayfabe? Ridiculous. AJ, on his way back from injury with the OC by his side, manages to build up a lot of momentum, picking up wins and reminding everyone why Smackdown is the House That AJ Styles Built. Noticing the returning hometown hero, Roman feels threatened, leading to the Bloodline and OC colliding in FACTION WARFARE. Yes, I did this for Reigns vs Styles III. We need it.
Yet another clinic between these two for the books, Styles vs Reigns III absolutely FUCKS. Both starting off the match with No shenanigans. Just these two guys creating the best match they can make together. Roman takes over the first part of the match, targeting AJ's neck and mid section, softening him up for a potential guillotine choke or spear. He tosses Styles like sacks of flour, watching the legend fly past his head with not a care in the world. But soon enough, Styles makes a comeback! Springboard moonsault DDT has Roman rolling to the outside, only for AJ to hit a Fosbury Flop!
Near falls on near falls. Twenty minutes in, both men are tired, but refuse to give in. Reigns lands a Superman Punch, but Styles is able to lift Roman up for a brainbuster and a decapitating discus lariat! AJ lands the Phenomenal Blitz, but Roman comes right back with a Saito, dropping AJ right on his head. In the end... with almost nothing left in the tank... Roman hits yet ANOTHER SUPERMAN PUNCH. He falls into the corner, unwilling to let Styles have a moment of rest. AJ stumbles to his feet... his chances as slim as they get... OOH AAH! Time to die.
Roman charges, looking for the kill! AJ DODGES, PELE KICK! Roman falls back into the ropes, somehow awake enough to try again! SPEAR INCOMING, NO! STYLES DODGES AGAIN! Reigns goes flying out of the ring, no time to protect himself from the hard fall. He curses his rival, trying to dust himself off and get back into the match. But Styles is already waiting. AJ springs off the ropes to deliver a MONUMENTAL PHENOMENAL FOREARM THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED! THEY BOTH CRASH THROUGH THE TABLE, THE CROWD POPPING FOR THE BIGGEST SPOT OF THE NIGHT!
AJ struggles, barely upright now, and weakly pushes Reigns back into the ring. He climbs the turnbuckles, unwilling to stop now, and delivers a picture perfect 450 splash that rocks Reigns. Dragging him back up, AJ stares at Roman, the two meeting eyes, albeit glassy and tired. Styles places a hand on the back of Reigns' head, looking to set up, for the Styles Clash, ROMAN SUDDENLY WITH A BURST OF SPEED, PICKS UP AJ FOR A BRUTAL RUNNING POWERBOMB! SPEAR RIGHT AFTER BREAKS AJ IN HALF, JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! 1... 2... 3! And still…

World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins vs Edge
I'm an Edge mark with a nostalgia fetish. I'm sorry. Edge wins the triple threat and overcomes Lashley to advance to NoC. Desperate for one last run, Edge vs Seth makes for a way more close and unpredictable match. Will Seth get his moment or will Edge have one last run? AJ vs Seth is great but in my opinion I'd rather give that up so Roman can actually defend his goddamn title instead of doing sidequests with his buddy Solo.
Anyways. Seth and Edge have a banger of a match, Edge using his experience tactics to combat Seth's speed, agility, and high impact offense. The commentators note that Rollins is bringing the intensity to the fight, refusing to take what Edge gives him lying down. Edge and Seth go back and forth the entire match, trading words throughout as they struggle through this battle of attrition. Edge throws Seth into the barricade and apron, only for the Visionary to come at him with fists twice as hard! The intensity of this battle just escalates higher and higher, as it breaks down into a brawl!
Edge fights with a fire Rollins has never seen before, refusing to be knocked down! Knowing this is his last run, his last hope at showing he's the best, Edge burns bright, giving the fans a show. He leaps onto Seth multiple times, landing big dives and crossbody attacks, Rollins being rocked and forced to backpedal. Edge comes dangerously close to three counts multiple times, hitting an Downward Spiral, an Edge o Matic, and a swinging neckbreaker from the second rope! Rollins barely kicks out of them. He manages to get back his own form of offense, landing a tope suicida, throwing Edge into the steps, and hitting a springboard knee strike to the temple! A big spot in the match occurs when Edge tries for a spear, only for Seth to stop him in the corner and surprise him with a dropkick. He stacks Edge up, and follows up with a SUPERPLEX! He rolls through, and deadlifts Edge! FALCON ARROW! 1… 2… KICKOUT!
Slowly rising to their feet, both men go at it as the fans zero in, knowing the climax is near. Edge is now just battering Seth's ribs and back with fists and elbows, but the Visionary is replying with fists to the nose, shots to the temples, straight up knuckles to the skull. Seth hits another tope, but Edge violently throws Seth shoulder first into the ring post, hitting the ropes to follow up with a spear! Edge thinks it's over, but Rollins rolls out to ringside before he can get the pin. Edge attempts a spear outside of the ring, but Seth counters, PEDIGREE! In the final stages, Seth drags Edge back into the ring, hitting a picture perfect frog splash while reentering! As the crowd chants for him, Seth prepares to land the deathblow, hitting the ropes to connect a brutal Curb Stomp to the Rated R Superstar. He falls into the cover. 1... 2... 3.
Seth Rollins defeats Edge to win the World Heavyweight Championship (25:09)

Aftermath
I definitely want to see Shinsuke abuse Dominik Mysterio in a match in retaliation to losing to Finn. That'd be nice.
After losing to GUNTHER, Johnny slowly makes a comeback, building up with wins on Raw, just in time for Tomasso Ciampa to make his return. With ##DIY in full force, Johnny approaches his situation with GUNTHER in a new light, now ready to face the Ring General head on, now with backup.
With the score between Cody and Lesnar tied up, it's only logical for them to have a tiebreaker. Lesnar disappears for a month, a looming threat as Cody recovers from his loss. As both men lick their wounds, Cody tries to make his way back. He slowly picks up wins, looking like himself again, only for Lesnar to make his return, laughing as he's killed Cody's mood. With SummerSlam approaching, the two agree to a rubber match, both eager to settle their problems and move on… in a steel cage.
As Austin Theory continues his crusade to becoming the greatest Smackdown star of all time, Sheamus and Butch start coming to a head. With Sheamus already colliding with his friend Drew at Mania, it feels right to continue pushing that theme. After bumping heads with Butch over the United States Championship, they start to show tensions with one another, doing their best to stay together despite struggles. Eventually, I'd like for this to lead to a breakup and heel turn initiated by Butch, who would rechristen himself back to Pete Dunne and strike out on his own after a feud with the Celtic Warrior.
KO & Sami travel over to Smackdown after Night of Champions, looking for their next challengers. Stepping up to the plate is none other than the most charismatic duo in all of WWE, there Street Profits. What ensues could be described as red cup shenanigans as Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens steal the show on Friday Nights.
The Bloodline and The OC continue to feud after Night of Champions, leading to further confrontations on Smackdown after the big match. I would suggest WarGames but we're nowhere close enough to Survivor Series to keep this feud going that long, unless WarGames isn't exclusive to one PPV. Either way, faction warfare dominates Smackdown in the coming summer.
Seth Rollins leads Raw as the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion, finally getting his due as a performer after years of being under Roman. But also on the red brand is Finn Balor, slowly picking up momentum after losing to Rollins in the tournament. At SummerSlam, they will cross paths once again, in familiar waters as they go to war over a world title and the fate of Monday Night Raw.

2023.05.13 19:22 broken_freezer Private sale of a motorbike - buyer offers a deposit before he can get the money together

As per below conversation:
Buyer:
Hi bud, is this still available? I’m really interested, I’ve just got myself a loan which will be coming through any day now, is everything ok with the bike, no issues
Me:
Hi
The only advisories that came on the MOT:
Front brake disc slightly worn - might need replacing at some point in the future but you'll probably get another season of riding out of it
Chain slightly loose - well, this seems like a matter of personal taste to the tester, it is good IMO
I recently took the rear caliper apart, gave it a good clean and lubricated the sliding pins and it works as it should now
The bike has quite a bit of mileage, 80k but these bikes are built like tanks, the previous owner was a Blackbird fanatic who was taking the best possible care of it and serviced the bike for me as well after
Come and have a look, I would keep it if I could afford to have two bikes but I want to buy something with a more upright riding position
Buyer:
Ok great, are you available this weekend and I’ll pop over if that’s ok Thanks
Me:
I am mate, take a note of my phone number
0xxxxxxxx
Thanks
Buyer:
Hello mate, unfortunately I got turned down for this loan, was wondering if I met your asking price would take a 500 deposit tomorrow & hold the bike for 10-14 days max, i could probably get the cash together sooner, I’m a believer if you don’t ask and all that Cheers
Me:
Hi
I would be happy to go that route, however:
I really need to get rid of the bike by friday 26th as I'm moving to Scotland
If I take the deposit from you that means I'll have to take the bike off the market in order to keep my part of the deal, in turn losing any other prospective buyers.
In case that for any reason you decide to pull out of the deal I will incur cost by either organising the transportation of the bike to Scotland or by selling it to a local bike shop at a trade price
In such case I would have to keep your deposit to offset those costs
Therefore, I would only agree to the deal you propose if you confirm that the £500 deposit would be deemed non refundable
Also, I would strongly advise for you to come and inspect the bike to make sure you really want to buy before putting the deposit down
Let me know how you feel about this
Buyer:
That’s absolutely fine, i understand, non refundable, I’ll drop you a text tomorrow & we’re organising a viewing, thanks mate, I appreciate it
How does it look from a legal side of things? Let's say that he does pull out of the deal after giving me the deposit, does he have any right to chase me for it?
In case it matters, the bike is advertised for an asking price of £1800

2023.05.12 15:31 khiara22 Any views on the Rockrider st30 for a beginner rider?

I'm just planning to cycle for fun and to get some basic exercise. I'm 5'9", around 68kgs, and I was thinking of getting a basic cycle (geared or without gear is also fine). Though most of my riding will be short distances (< 5kms) and within the city, I would like to keep the option to ride on off roads open. Only catch is I have some knee and lower back injuries from my gym workouts. With that in mind I was looking at a basic geared bike, because it's very likely that I'll encounter roads with slopes at some point. Also, I would prefer not having to bend my knees too much, and would prefer an upright riding posture.
I'd tested out riding the ST30, XL size. It seemed decent. I'd also tried the ST10 & ST20, but even with the L size I found it a bit uncomfortable.
Can I go ahead with the ST30? Or should I be looking for something else by stretching my budget?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a good recommendation for a starter bike, my most important characteristics for the bike to have from most to least important are:
  1. Seat and ride comfort for longer distances
  2. Economical & light
  3. Relaxed upright riders position
  4. Cheap both used and new
  5. Good reliability
Don't care about speed too much, preferred cc range between 250 and 400. TIA!
