2023.05.24 19:03 craycray31 [Browser Flash Game PC] [2000s+?] Horizontal Shooter
Hello
I don't remember much about this game. Besides that your character was like a white figure possibly red scarf.[I can only assume he waa representing a sperm] I think he used his finger as a gun. When you started the game you would pick a a lady probably a hand full of them to choice from. They were really woman and depending on how far you got in the level you'd reveal the image of said lady.(possibly nsfw?). It had floating heads, pretty sure some unicorns as enemies. I'm not sure why this game has popped into my head but I want to see if anyone else remembers it. It auto scrolled to the right while the enemies would pop on the screen. It reminds me of those weird Japanese side scrollehorizontal shooters. I believe it wasn't on a nsfw site but who knows I was a young boy.
Edit: the levels if I remember correctly and not mixing up the flash games looked like a city, possibly had a sky background after going across the city landscape. The art style was something like Miami shark if anyone played that.

◡̈ Useful Things To Use Down Below. These Are All Taken From The Big Book Of Prompts And Reddit (NOT OC) ◡̈
Photographic films:
FYI: adding word "sample" after the brand of film, filters out branded cameras, packaging and rolls of film, from being used during image generation. Prompt modifier examples: "as fujicolor sample", "as rollei sample"
Source:
https://www.reddit.com/dalle2/comments/vwjlsq/extensive_list_of_keywords_prompt_modifiers_to/ Listed below in alphabetical order, are widespread photographic films that work well when prompted, with brief descriptions so you know what to expect from these.
Cinestill - Color photos with fine/low grain and higher than average resolution. Depending on photography subject, colors are slightly oversaturated or slightly desaturated. Origin: USA. Prompt modifier: "cinestill", "as cinestill", "as cinestill sample"
Ektachrome - Color photos with fine/low to moderate grain. Depending on photography subject, colors will be on either colder part of spectrum or regular, with normal or slightly higher saturation. Overall very similar to Kodachrome. Manufactured by Kodak. Origin: USA. Prompt modifier: "as ektachrome sample"
Ektar - Modern brand of Kodak film. Color photos with little to no grain. Results generally look like regular modern photography with artistic angles. Origin: USA. Prompt modifier: "as ektar sample"
Film Washi - This brand has lower chance to work as expected when prompted, it seems to prefer landscapes, cities and buildings. Results are great when it works though. Mostly black and white photos with fine/low to moderate grain. Occasionally gives colored photos with low saturation. Distinct style with high black contrast and soft camera lens effect. Origin: France / Russia. Prompt modifier: "as film washi sample"
Fomapan - Black and white photos based on film by legendary Foma Bohemia aka Fotochema. Features fine/low to moderate grain, highly artistic exposure and angles. Depending on photography subject adds very soft lens effect without distortion, dark photo vignette. Origin: Czech Republic. Prompt modifier: "as fomapan sample"
Fujicolor - Color photos with fine/low to moderate grain. Image resolution varies depending on photography subject, colors are slightly or notably desaturated, with entire color hue shifted in a very distinct manner. Manufactured by Fujifilm. Origin: Japan. Prompt modifier: "fujicolor", "as fujicolor", "as fujicolor sample"
Fujifilm - As this is a general manufacturer name, results vary greatly depending on the photo subject, with data set including all related and even unrelated varieties of film. Photos can be either colored or black and white. Amount of grain, color saturation, contrast, color or lack of it is seemingly random. Prefers lower color saturation and brightness with landscapes. Origin: Japan. Prompt modifier: "as fujifilm sample"
Holga - Color photos with moderate to fine/low grain. Similar to Lomography in style, but with a lot less grain. Good chance to get black and white photography depending on subject. Color saturation varies greatly, from regular saturation, to slight oversaturation or close to black and white desaturation. Origin: Czech Republic. Prompt modifier: "as holga film", "as holga film sample"
ilford - Black and white photos with fine/low to moderate grain. Depending on photography subject adds lens effect, sometimes without distortion, dark photo vignette. Unlike Fomapan, appears to have shorter exposure and lower contrast. Origin: United Kingdom. Prompt modifier: "as ilford sample"
instax - Instant color photos identical to Polaroid but clearer image most of time. Generated results seem to produce much higher quality photos compared to Polaroid - depending on the subject it has near perfect colors, regular saturation, fine/low to medium grain. Manufactured by Fujifilm. Origin: Japan. Prompt modifier: "as instax", "as instax sample", "as instax film sample"
Lomography - Color photos with high grain. Low chance of black and white photography, unless specifically prompted. Colors are either very oversaturated or slightly desaturated. Distinct contrast of black. Photographic vignette is often applied, creating visual effect of camera lens. Origin: USA / Germany / Czech Republic. Prompt modifier: "lomography", "as lomography", "as expired lomography", "as lomography sample"
Kodachrome - Color photos with moderate grain. Depending on photography subject, colors will be on either colder part of spectrum or regular, with normal or slightly higher saturation. Manufactured by Kodak. Origin: USA. Prompt modifier: "kodachrome", "as kodachrome", "as kodachrome sample"
Kodak - As this is a general manufacturer name, results vary greatly depending on the photo subject, with data set including all related and even unrelated varieties of film. Photos can be either colored or black and white. Amount of grain, color saturation, contrast, color or lack of it is seemingly random. Prefers lower color saturation and brightness with landscapes. Origin: USA. Prompt modifier: "as kodak sample", "as kodak film sample"
Polaroid - Classic instant color photos. As data set contains old photos from 1970's, resulting images are often blurry, with high amount of grain and desaturated colors - the style is rather distinct. Blur can be intensified by applying "blurry" modifier keyword. Depending on the subject, gives regular image quality instant photos. Try instax if you wish to get clearer image. Origin: USA. Prompt modifier: "polaroid", "as polaroid", "as polaroid photo", "as polaroid sample", "as polaroid film sample"
Rollei - Mostly black and white photos and depending on subject - color photos with fine/low grain. Amount of grain, color saturation, contrast, color or lack of it is seemingly random, as this film is manufactured in different countries and has many varieties. Photos can be sepia colored, or have very unusual hues and desaturation. The brand is over 100 years old, so this variety does magic to landscapes. Origin: Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Czech Republic. Prompt modifier: "as rollei sample" Early photography techniques:
Daguerreotype - The first ever publicly available photographic process of 1840's with image developed on silver coated metal plates. When prompted, will most likely produce a black and white photograph in fancy vintage frame to protect the photo as historically it was very fragile and easy to smudge the image with a touch. Another feature is possible lack of clouds unless specifically prompted. Prompt modifier: "daguerreotype", "as daguerreotype", "as daguerreotype photo"
Calotype - The rival of Daguerreotype process, with image being developed on silver coated paper. If prompted, will most likely produce sepia photographs with very soft shadows. Gets fun when used with anachronisms. Prompt modifier: "calotype", "as calotype", "as calotype photo"
Ambrotype - The successor of Daguerreotype process, where silver coated metal sheet got replaced with a silver coated piece of glass. Still very fragile historically, so when prompted you'll get vintage frames by default most of time, but not always. Prompt modifier: "ambrotype", "as ambrotype", "as ambrotype photo"
Albumen print - The successor to all earlier processes, with images being developed on paper with help of silver, rotten eggs, salt and bunch of other chemicals in 1850's up until 1910's.* When prompted, you'll get classic look sepia photography, typical for steampunk. Prompt modifier: "albumen print", "as albumen print"
Pinhole photo - A photo taken without lens, through camera obscura phenomenon, with as little as a matchbox with a hole in the side that can be used as a camera. Method used since 1850's up to this day, with peak popularity around 1930s. Will give image a unique, foggy, low detail, historic photograph look. Prompt modifier: "as pinhole photo", "pinhole photography", "camera obscura image" Color types and effects:
Anaglyph - Originally, a historical technique for producing stereoscopic 3D images from 1850's and to modern day, with image outlined or generally consisting of two chromatically opposite colors. Dall-E 2 doesn't produce perfect anaglyph images (yet) but the 3D effect is there nonetheless if you have the color glasses. The coloring of generated images is interesting on its own. Prompt modifier: "anaglyph", "anaglyph photo"
Autochrome - Early color photography process introduced by legendary Lumière brothers in early 1900s, with dyed grains of potato starch used as color filters. Pink, red and various shades of green will dominate over the rest of colors when prompted, orange and blue tones will be faded or nonexistent. Results are fantastic when used on any object, and interesting when combined with earlier photography (e.g. "autochrome photo of 1860s farmer"). Prompt modifier: "autochrome", "autochrome photo", "as autochrome photo"
Black and white - As simple as that, with entire image consisting of black, white and various shades of gray. Can be used in combination with colored film, or daily objects for professional artistic photography feel. Prompt modifier: "black and white photo", "as black and white photo"
Color photo - While majority of photos have color by default, this modifier allows to combine effects of black and white film with color, or produce unique color combinations when used on something that is supposed to be colorless, such as subjects of 19th century photography. Prompt modifier: "color photo", "colored photo", "as colored photo"
Holography - A complex process of creating autostereoscopic 3D images, usually used as protection measure on banknotes and official documents. The images look like shifting rainbow of colors as the image consists of many layers (I don't think I can give a brief description of wavefront and light interference), thus when used in a prompt, a resulting image will have the most unexpected colors, as hard to describe psychedelic digital glitch glowing something. Prompt modifier: "holography of", "as holography"
Infrared - Light with longer wavelength than visible light (humans can't see it, though some living organisms can). There are special camera sensors that are sensitive to infrared light, and infrared cut-off filters to specifically block visible light close to infrared wavelengths. When used in prompt, will either give you unusual otherworldly colors (usually shades of red, pink, beige, and negative colors) caused by entire range of infrared associated phenomena, or unusual black and white images. Infrared is also related to night vision and thermal imaging, but chance of thermal image effect is low unless specifically prompted as described below. Prompt modifier: "infrared photo of", "as infrared photo"
Negative - Image with reversed colors in which the lightest areas of the photographed subject appear darkest and the darkest areas appear lightest. A historical foundation of photographic processes. When used in prompt, depending on the subject and the prompt modifier details, resulting images will have negative colors, possibly inverted black and white, or color negatives of various tones, sometimes with ominous look and blue glow. The image may also come out as mostly normal with some negative colors in its elements. Prompt modifier: "negative colors", "negative color", "negative color image", "negative color image of", "as negative color image", "negative photo", "negative photo of", "as negative photo"
Night vision - An ability to see in the dark (actually low light) conditions by using invisible parts of light spectrum. While surroundings appear dark to humans, some living organisms, usually predator animals are able to see clearly in infrared or ultraviolet light wavelengths. Usually associated with green glow of night-vision devices or black and white look of infrared trail cameras and video surveillance / cctv footage. Prompt modifier: "night vision", "night-vision", "night vision photo", "night vision photo of", "as night vision photo", "night vision image", "night vision image of", "as night vision image"
Thermography - Thermal imaging is created by capturing infrared radiation emitted by warm objects. Commonly used by military, police, hunters, construction workers and as natural mechanism of some animals to detect heat sources. When prompted, the resulting image will have radically unnatural, crazy colors that might look very stylish depending on the subject. Prompt modifier: "thermography", "thermography of", "as thermography", "thermal image", "thermal image of", "as thermal image" "thermal photo of", "as thermal photo"
Ultraviolet - An opposite to infrared, light with shorter wavelength than visible light (humans can't see it, though some living organisms can). It's effects are associated with fluorescent paints and "what sun really does to your skin". When prompted will create images with strong deep violet glow, or acidic fluorescent colors glowing under UV lamps. Will rarely generate black and white image with unusual contrast depending on the subject. Prompt modifier: "ultraviolet photo of", "as ultraviolet photo" Lighting types and effects:
Back light - The light source is located behind the subject. Depending on the subject and additional conditions, it can be a natural light from the sun, or artificial from street or studio lights. Prompt modifier: "back light", "back lit photo"
Broad light - The light source is located at an angle to the subject, producing well lit photographs with soft to moderate shadows. Depending on the subject, As it's associated with broad daylight, good chunk of generated photos will be naturally lit.
Dim light - As the name implies, the light source is weak or placed at a distance, creating photographs with lower than average brightness. A good keyword for generating dramatic images. Prompt modifier: "dim light", "dim lit photo"
Flash - Usually built into camera or a separate device to produce a brief flash of light. From burning flash powder, glass bulbs with exploding magnesium and up to LED flashes of this day, when used in prompts it has strong effect on appearance of photos. Fill flash will evenly light up the subject, harsh flash will produce harsh light on the subject, and no-flash will ensure there is no flash (most of time at least) where you would normally expect it, such as in the night conditions. Prompt modifier: "fill flash photo", "harsh flash", "harsh flash photo", "no-flash photo"
Split light - This is what most people imagine while thinking of portrait photography, with strong light source placed at 90 degree angle, one half of subject well lit and another half being dark with harsh shadows. Prompt modifier: "split light photo", "split lighting"
Studio light - Artificial lighting for indoor photography, usually with complex setup of reflectors and softboxes. Results will vary depending on the subject, light and shadow intensity can be different with larger chance to see reflections of white softboxes on specular surfaces. Prompt modifier: "studio light photo", "studio lighting photo", "studio photo"
Sun and moon - The natural light sources we know since birth, that also can produce specific effects when used as input for prompts. Distinct sun rays will appear occasionally, depending on prompt elements. Asking for moonlight in a generated image will also cause moon to appear in the sky or as a background most of time. Prompt modifier: "sun light", "in sun light", "sun rays", "moonlight", "in moonlight", "moon light"
Sunlight / Spotlight - A very strong light source, similar to studio light but more appropriate for outdoor use - it can compliment natural lighting or light up the scene at night. Depending on the subject and other conditions it can get easily confused with "sun light", so it works better if night or indoor conditions are implied. Prompt modifier: "sunlight photo", "spotlight photo", "in the spotlight"
Note: There are many more lighting techniques, such as flat light, butterfly light, loop light and rim light, yet only those that drastically affect the generated image got full descriptions. The list may expand in the future Camera lens types and effects:
GoPro - This range of small, light and robust cameras has wide-angle lens, but it's quite different from regular "wide-angle lens" keyword when prompted, as it excludes photos made on photographic film and majority of filter effects from being used during generation: results won't have film grain, colors will be natural with regular saturation, overall very clean digital photography look. Prompt modifier: "GoPro", "GoPro photo", "as GoPro photo"
Fish-eye lens - A lens used to take panoramic photos without turning camera around. When used in prompt, generates ultra-wide-angle photography with entire image warping into a bubble with the strongest lens effect. Prompt modifier: "fisheye lens photo", "as fisheye lens photo", "fish-eye lens photo", "as fish-eye lens photo"
Tilt-shift lens - A lens that allows to mechanically adjust image perspective through tilt (rotation of lens parallel) and shift (movement of lens parallel) relative to a camera sensor. Initially used for selective focus and perspective building in architecture and landscaping, nowadays the effect is better known as "diorama miniature look". Prompt modifier: "tilt shift", "tilt-shift", "tilt-shift photo", "tilt-shift lens photo", "tilt shift photo"
Lens flare - A lighting effect produced by a lens, with light scattering in shape of colorful circles. When used in a prompt, works as expected, adding a unique detail and creating mood depending on a subject. Mostly adds happy sunny feel to images. Prompt modifier: "as photo with lens flare", "with lens flare"
Telephoto lens - A type of lens used to take photos from large distance, commonly used by sports and nature photographers or paparazzis. Gives most images "award winning", "national geographic" look without specifying details, and creates various interesting effects when prompted. Prompt modifier: "telephoto lens photo"
Wide-angle lens - a lens with lower than average focal length used to capture more surroundings around the subject. When used in prompt, applies moderate to strong lens effect with an image warp. A staple of artistic photography. Prompt modifier: "wide-angle lens", "wide-angle lens photo", "as wide-angle lens photo"
Zoom lens - Typically a camera lens with variable focal length. When used in prompts, will often zoom in on the subject, which is perfect to create base for inpainting. Has very interesting effect on landscapes, with motion blur caused by continuous zoom. Prompt modifier: "zoom lens", "zoom lens photo", "as zoom lens photo"

Prompt hack: film & TV prompts, 'Film still of…'
You can name a specific film or TV show (ideally with the year in brackets) to 'steal the look', without needing to know the technical styles used. You can also name non-existent media with genre + year prompts, e.g: 'from action-adventure film "SHIVER ME TIMBERS!"(1973) Note: this prompt will also influence the background, costumes, hairstyles, and any other uncontrolled factors!
Photo genres and usage contexts
You can sometimes get a coherent look just by specifying the context: is this photo from a fashion magazine, a hard-hitting exposé in a newspaper, or a wedding photographer's portfolio? “Photo of a 50-year old white man, silver hair, neat beard, wearing a red gilet, thick-rimmed glasses…"

2022.06.24 21:23 S1r_Apple I need some help with browsing protection.
So, I've already installed the reddit nsfw redirector, but do you guys have any good porn site blockers?
If it could be possible one that also blocks the "scroller" website or one that has a feature to add certain websites to the blacklist.

2022.04.01 06:21 Insomniac98338 [PC][mid-late 2010s] Indie game that's a turn-based rpg where one of your starting party members is some kind of talking cat-like creature...I think.
Platform(s): PC (almost positive it's on Steam to be more specific)
Genre: Turn-based rpg
Estimated year of release: My best guesstimate would be mid-late 2010s, but definitely before 2020, maybe even before 2019.
Graphics/art style: Uses pixel art, a cutesy art style as far as I remember, and the world design had a bright and colorful palette. And I'm pretty sure it was a top-down game, definitely not a side-scroller.
Notable characters: I wanna say the main protagonist is a female human? Couldn't tell you more about them than that. What's more notable is that they are accompanied by what I want to say was some sort of bipedal (but not anthropomorphic, just bipedal) cat-like creature. May or may not have been based on a cat-sith with an appropriately punny/meaningful name, but again not entirely sure. I think it had mostly black fur, and it maybe wore something green? I think it's considered the "mascot" of this game, so I would probably recognize it if shown a picture.
Notable gameplay mechanics: I want to say the gameplay was a little reminiscent of Dragon Quest? Not so much in menu design, but more referring to how you view the enemies you fight if that makes sense. Basically the usual sort of turn-based gameplay you'd expect from an old-school rpg, but maybe requiring a bit more strategy than most? But yet again, not entirely sure. I don't remember how you recruit them specifically, but I think you mostly end up recruiting more monsters/odd creatures like the talking cat-thing to fight for you, and I think you also use them to solve puzzles outside of battle? And I don't remember whether or not the human protagonist actually does any fighting of their own.
Other details: I don't know if this will help at all, but I first heard of this game from a Youtube user who I used to be subscribed to. Sadly I don't recall the name. At first I thought this would be the type of game a guy like Nitro Rad would review, but I couldn't find anything like what I was looking for in a 200+ playlist of his videos so now I really have no way of knowing who it was. Wouldn't have been one of the larger, more well-known game reviewers, but it wasn't a total nobody either, I don't think. Yeah...wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't help at all, but I wanted to get it down anyway.
In the interest of hopefully actually narrowing the search field a little though...um it wasn't an NSFW/H-game or anything like that. That's the only part of this I really am 100% sure on, so hopefully that helps a little!

2021.12.30 17:32 claybeanie [PC online] [Early to late 00's] Online flash game featuring celebrities, pretty NSFW content. A side scrolling (I believe) fighting game where celebrities are bosses to beat
Platform(s): PC (flash game if memory serves)
Genre: Side scroller fighting game
Estimated year of release: Early 00's - Late 00's
Graphics/art style: It was a typical hand drawn flash game from that period of time with lots of colour
Notable characters: All I remember is that there were celebrities in it, it was very NSFW and Britney Spears was a boss in one of the games as a giant version of herself. George Bush was also in it and a bunch of other people
Notable gameplay mechanics: It was a fighting game with guns I believe, I honestly don't remember much about it but I played it with my cousin a bunch and it's been living in my head rent free for years now
Other details: There were multiple sequels to this game. I'm from the UK so maybe it was more popular here than overseas idk? Either way, I know there were at least three games of this, and they all had different bosses you had to defeat. Gave very much South Park vibes with the comedy.
Like I said, this game has been lodged in my brain for probably 15 years, I was a kid when I played it (definitely shouldn't have because it's very NSFW but still) and so I remember bits and pieces and finding it hilarious, but I can't for the life of me remember the name!

2021.07.08 22:28 PornLuber Reddit Scroller app
I remember there was an app called Scroller that would take photos and videos from various subreddits and allow you to scroll through them. You can search by different subreddits, and NSFW content is blocked by default but can be enabled.
It was taken off the Google Play store, can't find the Reddit posts talking about it either. Does anyone know what happened to it?

2021.03.10 17:01 QuantumDrone I'm a sappy guy who loves games with romance and close relationships. After searching all around for lists of such games and finding them lacking, I decided to make a big one with content tags, genres, systems, etc. so that we can all find what we want.
**Thank y'all so much! The second half of the first list as well as the secondary list
can be found here. I've had to split the lists due to post length restrictions. Now showing 153 games!**
The Great Big Romance Games List
In the following games, romance is either a subplot, feature, or major gameplay/story inclusion. They are ranked by flawed personal opinion, descending in order of best to worst execution and depth of content. Mods that add such content are included in the placement decisions, but they're noted where applicable. Additionally, I have not played all listed games, so opinions in such cases are formed based on gathered information and others' reviews.
So that everyone can more easily decide whether or not a game is worth playing for themselves, I've included what's playable on which system and have assigned certain tags to the games as is appropriate per game. A (Mods) designation after a tag means that it's only applicable if added via a mod.
Content tags: (use for easy find-in-page searching)
- Adult - Content suitable only for ESRB 17 and up is in the game.
- Bystander - The character you play as is not the one romanced.
- Choice - You have a selection of more than one person who you can romance.
- Companion - For most of the time, the character travels with you on your journey.
- Family - You have, can have, or can adopt children.
- Linear - A singular non-branching story is told.
- Mods - Mods containing romance material are available.
- Multi-game - Relationships span across more than one game.
- No-Story - Given the nature of the gameplay, you create the romance story.
- Reactive - The romanced reacts to your choices or the events happening around them.
- Romance-centric - The main point of the game story is the relationship/romance.
- Sadness - There are aspects of this relationship story or choices that can be made regarding the romantic content that may induce tears.
- Shallow - The primary method of relationship progression is via player-given compensation and without meaningful exchange of information (i.e. giving gifts, running errands, soulless interaction, etc.)
- Talks - The charactes- initiate conversations with you and you can respond in more than one way.
Systems covered: (PC, PS3, PS4, PS5, Playstation Now, Switch, XB360, XB1, XBSX)
Genres covered: (Action, Action-Adventure, Action-RPG, Adventure, Horror, JRPG, MMORPG, Platformer, Puzzle, Roguelike, RPG, Shooter, Side-scroller, Simulation, Strategy, Turn-based)
Viewpoints: (1st-Person, 3rd-Person, Isometric, Top-down)
Android and iOS availability will be listed if ported in addition to any of the previous systems:
E.g. if a game is made for PS4 and Android, the Android tag will be there in addition to PS4. If it's made only for Android, the game won't be listed.
Due to the nature of the list, minor spoilers may be visible via the tags. Main List Part 1

- (PC, PS3, PS4, Switch, XB1)
- Cyberpunk 2077 - Recommended to play on PC. Some of the most realistic characters I've ever encountered in a game. The relationships are completely natural, and in a world full of death and destruction they're a light in the darkness. Pam ftw.

Due to post length issues, click here for the second half of the main list as well as a secondary list, where romance is not quite a feature or subplot, but the games imply/dance around it/deal heavily in relationships/etc. Hatoful Boyfriend, Doki Doki Literature Club, Katawa Shoujo, and most other visual novels left purposefully unmentioned. (vndb.org already has what you need folks.
NSFW warning for parts of that site.)
I am by no means an expert on this incomplete collated list (especially with having not played most of these) and it will thrive on new additions, so please comment with further game, tag, and order suggestions. Additionally, please feel free to question, correct, berate, and otherwise point out the flaws in my ranking paradigm.
It's my hope that y'all will be able to make good use of this, enjoy.

I use to know the name of it but I forgot it so I was wondering if you guys could point out some of the websites you know and maybe one of them will be the website I am looking for. Its not redgifs, giphy, Jerome, scroller btw. Its got a white background and some of the categories on there is most viewed videos and all categories and NSFW, I think,(those are the only ones I remember), if that helps

2019.01.10 07:40 Anixias [Hobby] Let's create a horror game!
NOTE: I am the programmer of this game. This post is not a free "give me a programmer who can do these things", but is instead a list of the things
I think should be in the game that I will develop myself.
Simply put, I am making a horror game. I am making this game alone, and want one or two others to make it with. Very small team, game should take about 5 hours to beat playing at the intended pace (not speedrunning or knowing automatically how to solve puzzles, for example). I am making the game in GameMaker Studio 2, I am doing all of the art/animation/SFX/music myself. I'm terrible at writing stories, especially horror ones, so I want someone to write the game.
Disclaimer: The game will be extremely bloody, gory, graphic, and violent. I want to make the game very
messed up. So, if you can't handle serious themes such as rape, suicide, and violent death scenes, you probably shouldn't offer to help. The game will definitely be
nsfw.
A little info about what the game is at the moment:
It is a 2D side-scroller. I haven't quite yet decided how I'm planning on doing perspectives. You walk left/right and you can go through doors/stairways on the far left/right edges of hallways as well as "into" the background. Whenever you go "into" the background (into another room/hallway), the perspective rotates by +/-90 degrees. I'd rather not have doors/stairways on the "front" wall (the foreground), so you always go left, right, or in. That allows plenty of possible 3D maps, including floors and many rooms. The only thing I know for certain about the game is that:
- There should be enemies that are unkillable that roam the game. Usually 1 per area, maybe 2 near the end-game.
- You should be able to hide from the enemies in at least 50% of the rooms, and the other 50%, just run away and try to find a place to hide.
- There will be either save rooms with infinite saves, or a Resident Evil approach, where you have limited saves at certain points or locations (maybe that could be Hardmode or whatever).
- There should be puzzles and plenty of locked doors/paths with hidden keys of some sort (codes, physical keys, keycards, you name it).
- Puzzles should have procedurally generated solutions, so even I can play the game and not know how to solve any puzzle. This includes placement of key-items. They should have 3-5 possible locations, unless it is specific to an area (I shouldn't procedurally generate the location of a switch that opens a door, for example. The switch should have a puzzle that the player must solve before the switch is accessible).
- I will use Audio cues to indicate how many rooms away the nearest enemy is. 3 rooms away: low drones fade in, light tension. 2 rooms away: higher drones, maybe dissonant slow violins play softly. 1 room away (not beating on the door to your room): tense violins and heavier bass, creating an uneasiness. In the room with you or 1 room away attempting to enter your room: Very fast dissonant and tritone violins, maybe Silent Hill-style percussion, etc.
- Enemies should not always be in "chase mode". They should have intervals where they simply wander around through rooms, and you can just happen upon them. I might even temporarily despawn enemies occasionally, so you can free-roam without worry every now and then.
- Enemies have a periodic 5-second timer. Every time it reaches 0, it is reset to 5, and depending on their mode, they will do different things. In "chase mode", they simply advance 1 room closer to the player's room (via A* and a manually-made node-graph that changes dynamically with unlocked paths). In "wander mode", they either stay in the room they're in or advanced into a random adjacent room.
- When enemies encounter you, they should have a unique kill animation. This will usually be extremely gory.
At the moment, all I know is that you play as a little girl named "Eve". I already have the idle and walking animations for her. I used a 16-frame walk-cycle for the first time, and I think it looks good (not great, but good enough). If you can do art, that is a huge plus, but I am mostly in need of someone to help write story, characters, and design the layout of the hallways/rooms, and help me create puzzles.
tl;dr I am making a very messed-up horror game that is a sidescroller. I want someone to write characters, events, locations, backstory, the goal of the game, enemies, puzzles, etc. with me. 1-2 people desired.

2018.10.22 00:15 SchodingersCat How do I turn OFF Infinity Scroll? If there is not currently a way please add one (read: put it back)
TL;DR - Read the fucking title
Not sure how to tag this because it falls into a few different categories.
Many MANY users, myself included, prefer having an actual
page for our "front page" and subreddit views and not a never ending scroller. Not having this ability is going to drive users away, even long time veterans. Being able to set a "posts per page" was actually one of the main reasons I'd actually made an account and logged into it eons ago so it's not like the technology "isn't there".
Voluntary page loads are infinitely (haha see what I did there?) more controllable than a never ending scroll, far more friendly to slow or limited data connections, and ultimately more useful at providing a hard "hey you've gone through X number of posts" notice to the user
as well as just providing an easy navigational marker when trying to go back and forth between posts. At the moment there
IS NOT EVEN A POST COUNT ON ANY PAGE ANYWHERE!! It's like trying to go through a rolodex without any alphabet/number cards and so you have to actually stop and read every title to figure out where you are in the scroll-of-suffocatingly-too-busy-of-a-webpage-first-semester-in-comp-sci-design. Indexes and numbered lists are important people! And I'm not even ocd!
Who needs to be fired on the design team for removing a perfectly functional and basic component of the site? I didn't know we'd stooped down to the level of pinterest or even wanted mirror them at all.
Doesn't even matter if the infinity scroll is default (though I would advise against that) but at least put in the option to turn it off and put the post count back in the options for feeds. Clearly NSFW options were important enough to keep so why couldn't the general page view settings be left alone too?
I'm
not the first to mention this, but since other posts are old or don't directly ask if there is just a buried setting somewhere I figured I would.

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/vgm/d/ps3-bundle-with-bunch-of/6324049407.html Thanks for stopping by! I am selling a fat 80gb PS3 with a bunch of games. It does work, you can turn it on and see if you wish. Note: it is NOT moddable BUT! it does come with all cables, a controller, and some bad ass games. These games got me through some TOUGH TIMES, MY FRIENDS! Let's talk about it below as you read about the games
Borderlands! - The OG. Made me giggle with pride when I got to destroy all kinds of bad guys that totally had it coming.
Borderlands 2 - I like to call it "game so nice they made it twice" worth it just to kick it with Tiny Tina (you'll see)
Borderlands the Pre-Sequal - I am fairly sure this is the last one I will talk about. It's dope to whatever buy it and play as Claptrap.
Call of Duty Black Ops I am sure the network for this game is dead no so play story mode and then resell it for 50 cents.
Red Dead Redemption - John Mardsten is the most badass cowboy you will ever meet. This Grand Theft Auto but in the Wild West. Youll love this one.
Saints Row The Third- big-time gangster taking down the streets with a ton of guns, weapons, and some NSFW stuff. Seriously, do not play this around your kids.
Saints Row IV - You are a gangster supermodel/nillionaire/ music icon. Also, YOU ARE PRESIDENT OF THE DAMN UNITED STATES! Not enough for you? Damn you are demanding. Fine we will give you superpowers. You heard me, like Superman and what not. You want to play this! For real tho, the kids are not in the room right?
Destiny - pretty ass space shooter game. I love gently gliding to my inevitable doom and riding my hoverbike around. Enjoy alien spaceships landing next to you birthing baddies.
Fallout 3 - There is so much to say. Lets put it this way, you get a gun that shoots nuclear warheads. If that isn't good enough for you I don't know what is.
LA Noire - classic detective solving game where you try to tell if people are lying to solve crimes. A fun challenge. BTW, I will save you the trouble. No, you can not hit people with your car. I have tried (thanks a-lot gaming desensitization!)
Skyrim - My crown jewel. You know how much time I have put into this game?! an embarrassing amount! There is just too much to say, Dragons, old dudes that scream at you, arrows to the knee. This game is STILL being played and modded all the time for a good reason. Enjoy thinking you will make a sword and board character but really you'll go stealth archer because it's overpowered as hell.
Dragons Crown - ok remember those old side-scroller fighting arcade games? Like Streets of Rage? If you are young google it. This is like that with gorgeous graphics.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 - Not gonna lie, I do not remember much about this game BUT! it been re-released a bunch of times so you know its good.
White Knight Chronicles II - A really cool RPG where you are basically a dude who also controls a suit of armor straight up Gundam style. Get in there and beat up some giant robots!
Star Ocean - The Last Hope Japanese style RPG that is super fun and has a tech vibe to it explore planets, craft shit, all that good stuff. Its fun!
Valkyria Chronicles - beautiful cell shaded art where you control troops on a battlefield arguably one of the best games ever in the genre and so good looking!
Disgaea D2 - turn based action RPG to put it lightly....its weird as fuck but in an enjoyable way. the item world alone is enough to keep you hooked for ten lifetimes.
Dragon Age III don't remember this one. hack and slash funsies with magic, whatever, you know you want it.
Disgaea 4 - Similar to the idea Disgaea with new characters. Have fun blowing up prinnies. DOOD!
Star Wars The Force Unleashed II - Need to blow off some steam? This is the game. Basically, you're a sith that uses two swords and decimates everything. When I am super mad I will make lightsaber scars on the metal walls just because THAT WALL DOES NOT TELL ME WHAT TO DO!
Sleeping Dogs - LOVE THIS GAME! You're in Hong Kong or something a super badass who knows martial arts and rarely shoots a gun. For real, when you learn the move to break a dudes arm or leg you win everything.
Disgaea 3 - I really like these Disgaea games a lot! They are crazy fun and look if you want they are rare so probably sell well. I am simply too lazy to Ebay all this crap.
Buy the package and I will give you some random dvd's blu rays and a ps4 game or two.
ok now for the rules
Cash only - No I do not want a cashiers check for more than the amount I am asking. I will not ship because I can do that to amazon for free. No scams here! I want cash in hand please and thank you.
pickup only no shipping and no I will not drive an hour away to bring it to you (this has been asked way too many times)
price is firm Sorry, I will not trade this for a broken xbox or some other junk (its been offered way too many times before) Honestly, I just priced all this out on Amazon and can trade it in for this amount. I simply want to save myself the trouble and make someone's day.
No holding onto the stuff for you. First come first served I want this stuff gone!
THIS IS A PACKAGE DEAL ONLY! It's not worth either of our time to sell each piece individually.
Just be cool please!
Final note. Cat butt, tail and the rest of cat are not for sale but you can pet the cat if she agrees.
Thank you!

2014.03.22 19:54 FuryBullet Weekly Noob Thread -- Ask All Questions Here! (Week of 3/21/2014)
Hello, people of
/WiiU!
I'm obviously not
A_B_E, but after learning that he has resigned the post of the Weekly Noob Thread creator, I'll see if I can run with it for the time being.
My name is FuryBullet, and I'll (try to) do my best!
Like playing Call of Duty on Wii U? Check out /CODNintendo to discuss/play the game with other owners of Wii U.
Like playing Splinter Cell Blacklist? Check out /WiiUSplinterCellGroup and find some people to play multiplayer with and discuss the game.
Wanna get together and play Wii U games with other people? Check out /WiiUGameNights!
Are you a member of Club Nintendo? If you aren't, why not? If you are - why not also join /Club_Nintendo?
Current Subreddit Projects
Poor TrainAss... the teaser for what's obviously some sort of contest went quite awry, being flagrantly downvoted to hell. At least we can expect something good coming our way!
Looking for the best eShop fix you can get on Reddit? Hit up Sylverstone14's eShop News/Discussion thread for all the latest on upcoming downloadable games! This week has great content coming out of GDC 2014.
Late last year, the mods were looking to have weekly game nights, but sadly, after running into plenty of issues, they've been on the backburner. Now, Retro_Byte looks to change all of that by fostering a partnership between /wiiugamenights and /WiiU, so that we have regularly scheduled game nights cross-posted between the two. Whatever gets me to stomp all of you guys in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, the better!
I'm too much of a bum to work out regularly, but I do love carrying my Fit Meter around. Also, RABclub is such a showoff - probably one of the most active members of the club.
Informative and Noteworthy Posts from Fellow WiiUsers
- Rain AS visits /WiiU to show off Teslagrad!
We have a developer in our midst once more, adding to the list of those who have popped up here in the past. This time, Oliibald comes to us to show off how far Teslagrad has progressed, as well as a tribute to the Metroid series.
Now this is what I call an informative and noteworthy post! For any of us who own Art Academy: SketchPad, we know that there are some folks out there who have made some impressive works - even a few of them here, like krunnky! Fluffeh has put together a really great guide on how to make Art Academy bend to your will, with great tips and tricks on how to make your art look marvelous. Even our fearless leader, Sylverstone14, seems captivated by it. Perhaps we can see the return of our subreddit Art Academy gallery?
I love me some platformers, but are there perhaps too many? Personally, I feel that Nintendo is home to them because other consoles aren't as receptive to them, and they're eclipsed by the usual shooters/sports games/action games that everyone else plays.
The Internet Browser is a pretty awesome HTML5 application - it plays video, and it works for most games. It's not the best way to play (since we're limited through various means, control-wise and sound-wise), but it's cool to know that such games exist.
- Thousand_Year_Roar recreates some of the billboards from Mario Kart 8!
I don't think A_B_E got to cover this in his last thread, so I'll do the honors. It's pretty cool to see a lot of talented folks here on the subreddit In this instance, Thousand_Year_Roar recreated 3 billboards from Mario Kart 8 and they look pretty cool. Hit up the links to see them for yourselves if you haven't already! (1, 2, 3)
Literally paraphrasing the words of A_B_E here, but good luck and I hope that these posts help you guys out, or provides momentary entertainment! If you have a good discussion topic that I missed, post it! Have a crazy idea or find a cool trick, post it! These types of posts are why this subreddit keeps people coming back for more. It's not just the news, its all of you.
Please post any questions you have about anything Wii U related to this thread! These threads will become a resource for new members of our community to use and a great way for any of us to ask any silly questions.
Post Your:
- What games should I buy?
- How should I do X on Wii U?
- Can I watch porn on my Wii U? (Obviously NSFW.)
- Does the U in Wii U mean Unity?
- My Wii U has fallen and it can't get up. What do I do?
Anything goes, so just ask away!
- Also, please politely direct any future questions to this thread!

2013.11.11 17:57 wolfstar76 Yet another Introduction
Hello,
WolfStar76 taking the time to try and make myself sound as interesting as I imagine myself to be (and considering I only find myself moderately amusing, I'm not exactly reaching for the stars here. I'm just fine with grabbing the low-hanging fruit.)
I've been streaming on and off for about a year, and after watching a few streams in the Extra Life marathon this year - I've got the bug again in a pretty big way. The fact that XSplit has been updated a good bit and has optimized my stream for me (Yay!) is helping feed that itch as well.
I try to keep an eye on the chat and try to answer people via voice-chat when possible.
Big fan of multiplayer games, and lost my "twitch skills" a decade ago - so if you're looking for entertaining fare that doesn't involve hyper-realistic graphics, and precognitive reactions, you just might like my feed. (You won't, likely, find me playing COD, BattleField, or other high-intensity FPS games. TF2 is possible, as are the Borderlands games).
- Channel: http://twitch.tv/wolfstar76
- Schedule: Still figuring this out. M, W, F after 9pm Eastern is the safest bet.
- Games: EDIT See below. I'm sorta random in what catches my attention. Things that are fun/goofy tend to catch my eye.
- Goals: At the moment I'm a pretty casual streamer, but I do want to build up an audience - I'm trying to invest into the social world as a whole at this point, actually. Twitch, YouTube - I might even (grdugingly) go back to Facebook and get things going there (to say nothing of my long-forgotten blog. . . ).
I daydream of having enough of a following to become a twitch partner - not that I'd quit my dayjob, but if I could eventually buy a few new shinies for my computer - making my hobby pay for itself (at least in part), I'd be in 7th heaven.
I also want to have a following for Extra Life next year - though my plan for that will be board-game based, primarily.
Background
My name is Dustin, I'm about to celebrate my 37th trip around the sun (though, as a typical gaming geek, I do tend to make these trips around the big ball of fire as stealthily as possible. Last time it caught me in its amber rays, I turned an alarming shade of pink, and small children were made to weep with cries about a big hairy lobster parading around the pool. . .). I stream for my own sake, I love being able to make little highlights out of the footage of my failures, my successes, and my friends and I just goofing around.
Still learning my way around the twitch.tv world (and have a small list of questions, below), and looking for similarly-minded gamers to sort of communitize (if that isn't already a word, I want credit for coining the prhase - tell your friends!) around.
I describe myself on my feed as a gamer of incredible mediocrity, and I think that's a fairly fitting description - at least compared against the world of most people who stream. I'm great against my circle of friends, but anyone with more than 3/4s of a clue can usually mop up on me like the weaksauce I really am. I'd insert a NSFW analogy here (about one's length and porn stars) but I dunno enough Markdown to do a "spoiler block" - I don't really post much, I just lurk.
Questions for the community
As long as I'm posting all about me, I'm gonna use the opportunity to pick some brains around here for help on a few things I haven't been able to figure out just yet. You seem a friendly lot, so here's hoping I get some answers - and feel free to aggressively point me to the sidebar full of links I haven't had time to go through in its entirety yet. I promise I'll read a link if its pointed out to me. :)
- What's the best way to keep an eye on my chat while I'm streaming? I have two monitors, and I currently just pull up my page/dashboard while I stream, but it seems like this is just asking for extra bandwidth consumption. Would it be smartebetter to use IRC instead? (It's been a decade or so since I last used mIRC, but I'm sure I could figure it out again).
- NSFW channels? I'm a grown man, and I don't really watch my mouth when I'm streaming. While I don't feel the need to use profanity in every single sentance, I'm not shy about its use either. Is that the sorta thing I should flag my channel as NSFW for?
- What's the ONE thing you wish you'd known when you started to stream, that you only learned with time and experience - so that I can avoid making the same mistakes?
Games I'm playing
I tend to be sorta ADHD about my games. I'm always on the lookout for that perfect multiplayer game that'll capture the attention of my friends and get us all playing together for a while.
Right now I'm cycling pretty heavily through:
- SpyParty - Two players. A Sniper and a Spy. The Spy has to hit mission goals in a time limit, while the sniper has to figure out who the spy is in a crowd of NPCs. One shot, one kill. VERY clever little game.
- SpeedRunners - Superheros racing around a map, using grappling hooks, climbing walls, and shooting each other with assorted weapons to try and always be in the lead. VERY unique mechanics
- CastleCrashers - Recently talked a buddy into getting this and playing it with me. Loved it on my 360. Silly little side-scroller, lots of fun in multiplayer. If you liked TMNT in the arcade, this game is for you.
- Borderlands 2 - If you don't know this game, go ahead and snag the first one, play it, and then play the 2nd, 'cuz it's even better. Another friend of mine is playing through the Assault on Dragon Keep with me. It's AWESOME.
And then there's a menagerie of games I play in my solo-time (though, I tend to get bored/frustrated with most games when I play alone, so I don't always stream, and I don't often stick with any one game very long in these cases), games like Rogue Legacy, FTL, Civ V (what a time sink!), and a ton more of games that I keep buying (curse you Humble Bundle!) and never get around to playing.
Look forward to any replies I get, especially people interested in answering my questions (I feel like I have a half-dozen more questions I've forgotten), or anyone of a similar mindset/playstyle that might want to "team up" in the future.
Did I mention I run my own TS3 server? If you wanna do some gaming sometime, message me, we can compare games (my library is 99% on Steam - I'm WolfStar76 there as well), find something to try, and co-stream together. :)
Thanks for listening to the rambling rantings of a self-delusional streamer!
EDIT - formatting. I *will** master Markdown. . . one day. . .*
EDIT the second - when copy/pasting a template, double-check TRIPLE-check that you actually put your own content on ALL the lines.
