Background 46 year old man on trt since 2017. With long ester nebido. Dr teat red blood cells and hematocrit as well as psa. Everything is within normal range. I donate blood every 3 -4 months.
I’m 6 feet 1 and 202 pounds last summer I was 180 pounds.
Last summer i had alot of energy and started to run which I did almost every second day and it went really well. Ran around 3-6 km each sessions. All this progressed fine till about November. Suddenly almost from one day to another I could barely run 1-2 km without getting exhausted. I thought I was just over training and took 1 week of and got back feeling the same but worse even , did another 1 week rest and same result. Did two week complete rest and no training at all. And did not get better.
Tried running a little anyhow and could not get back to feeling like before.
Now it’s been like 3-4 months since I ran and my thighs suddenly got sore feeling like the day or two after training legs.
I know I have not been stretching which in hind sight probably was a mistake. But why without even training?
I also been getting out of breath for no reason and gained 20 pound in 4 months.
I been feeling unwell like I’m sick and it can come and go in a few hours.
Also some weird mental health where I feel down and mental unwell which also goes away suddenly.
Today at the beach I was waking with kids and maybe 500 meter or so and my calf’s feel sore .
It’s so general and my blood seem good and i don’t know what’s wrong?
Is it stress ? Or what is happening with me . I don’t know what to say to dr cause it’s so weird.

New to this sub but could really do with some advice as we broke up only a few hours ago and I’m in so much pain.
(Disclaimer: slightly long so you’re an amazing person if you read it all)
Two days ago I found out my (now ex) girlfriend had cheated on me while she was back home for a couple of months.
I found out accidentally when I saw she had a separate Instagram account and I looked to see that she had been messaging a guy about hooking up and sending pics to each other and shit. Then I looked through her chats with friends to find out that he was not the only one.
She had been going out clubbing with friends to clubs constantly looking for different guys. She had also been talking to her friends about all the things she did/wanted to do with different guys. And she expressed regret about having to come back to my country (we are from different countries).
Meanwhile, I had no idea that this was happening and was so excited to see her. For six months everything seemed normal and we were really happy together. I loved her so much and envisaged a future together long-term. We had both expressed that we wanted this before she had left and even after she came back.
Little do I know, she had been continuing to message one guy for about a month after returning and had continued to talk to her friends about going clubbing and doing things with “hot guys”.
She seems very innocent on the surface, and you would never have guessed what she was actually up to.
However, she did get very defensive in the last 6 months whenever I would get suspicious about certain things: when I asked about certain guys she would blush and get defensive, calling me sensitive, controlling, or that I wasn’t respecting her privacy. She said that I didn’t trust her and I worried too much. She would always get upset at me and I would have to be the one to fix the situation.
But I was naturally always a bit suspicious after catching her flirting with another dude early in the relationship. I had broken up with her but given her a second chance after she begged for it and promised never to let it happen again. I didn’t want it to hang over the relationship so I started to regain my trust.
Skip forward to yesterday morning, when I discovered everything. She was sleeping at the time and god when I tell you how shocked I was. She left that morning, after noticing something was up with me.
I ignored all her calls and texts until she texted that she was waiting outside. I let her in and calmly but firmly told her how shitty she was and that I never wanted to see her again.
She acknowledged her guilt while obviously very broken herself (it looked like she hadn’t slept that night). She also said that she thinks I deserve better than her. She got her stuff and left.
I know it was the right thing to do but I’m also so heartbroken and miss her presence so much. I get that the real her is different from the one I fell in love with but it still feels like such a massive hole in my life.
We were so compatible and offered so much to each others lives (I thought). It’s so painful to think that she’s gone for good and that our plans for the future will never happen.
This has been the longest relationship of my life and she was my first real love. I opened up my entire heart to her and trusted her with it.
I feel so torn apart right now. And I feel awful for her pain too. Even though she 100% deserves it, I still care so much for her.
I’m at a complete loss and honestly I’m hoping it’s just a bad dream I can wake up from and share with her.
How can I heal from this? I don’t know how I’ll trust anyone again.

I already told my parents about this last week Saturday and they were very chill about it but they wanted to get the elders in my congregation involved asap. Our mid week meetings are on Tuesdays at 6:30pm and I had a group project due on Tuesday, so I told my mom that I wouldn't be able to go (although I didn't really wanna go, the project was my excuse). I got home from school at around 5:30pm. I still had homework to do and I wouldn't be able to finish it within an hour.
Usually my parents would let me do anything if it involved school work, even missing meetings. But they didn't care this time. They told me to get ready and obviously I didn't get ready. My mom came and told me the second time to get ready and I just told her straight up that I didn't want go, but that didn't change anything unfortunately. Then my dad came in for the third time and said he had to set something up and that I should hurry up. 20 minutes later it's around 6:15pm , and my mom comes into my room and forces me to get ready and she picks out my outfit for me. When I tell you she made me look like that Annabelle doll and she butchered my hair too😭 but that's not the point.
As I walked out my room my father was standing at my door, looking at me like I was his prey. And this man had a belt in his hand and you can probably guess what happened next🧍🏾‍♀️. Now obviously I'm mad cause he just beat the living daylights out of me and I'm also mad at the fact that my parents are doing their own thing. They call themselves Jehovah's Witness but don't live the way God tells them to.
Eg. My dad goes to clubs the Friday after payday and comes back home hella drunk. I don't even know how he gets back home safely. My mom was a traditional healer before she became a witness and she's still a traditional healer, even after she got baptized.
Okay so fast forward to after the meeting, my parents call me to the living room and they basically say that from now on I'm going to know the difference between the roles of a parent and a child. And that was acting like a parent in the situation and they were the children. This went on for like 15 minutes and I was silent the entire time and they yelled at me to speak and apologize for what I did. I apologized and everything went back to normal.(jk that never happens where I'm from)
After 20ish minutes my dad came in my room and told me that if I make him or my mom struggle there's going to be consequences, and idk what in me decided to say that forcing me to go to field service and to meetings was not going to work. Luckily my dad just gave me the most disgusted and disappointed look of all time, and left.
For the past week I've seen my parents be more chill with me in things they wouldn't normally be chill about. And they also started asking me if they were the reason why I'm always in my room, if I'm mentally okay and all that kind if stuff. Another thing is that I've been getting loads of messages from my the elders wives and all the women my mom's close with in our congregation and from my brother's gf. So I think they told them what was going on to try and change my mind, but I don't think that'll happen anytime soon.
Since I've hated going to meetings from a young age. And maybe some people are thinking it's because of my parents, it's not. Biblical or religious stuff never really caught my interest, but I do respect people and their beliefs/ religions.
Now I don't know how I'm going to continue living with my parents cause they made it very clear that I'll only be able to make the decision to not be a Witness when I live on my own or when I'm older. I still want to have a relationship with my though.

Hi All,
To keep this as short as possible, I’ve been together with my partner for 5 years. Within the first 5 months of us initially dating, I was told by her family that she has schizophrenia after a mental health episode. Since that initial diagnosis, I learned a lot about the triggers, treatment and being involved with her medical appointments to best support my partner. I was positively supportive knowing the positive prognosis provided by my partners psychiatrist. There were no warning signs ever since this event, other than a timeline for when she can come off medication.
We have travelled overseas, interstate, lived together and planned our future keeping in mind of our other goals and ambitions. My partner is my best friend and by far has changed and enhanced my life to the man I always wanted to become. We are fully aware of committing to marriage and a family life with each other.
In September 2022, my partner was burnt out from a heavy work and life schedule. As I have witnessed people go through psychosis before, I knew this was a warning sign. To cut it to the chase, and keeping the people involved very minimal for reputational reasons, my partner went missing for 3 days. I was awake the whole time, documenting and keeping a low profile to find her with her parents. Whilst working with the police with the evidence I had gathered with her parents, we were able to find her in the middle of the night with the police officer and her parents advising to restrain her, and obviously not to hurt.
It did break my heart to see her in the state she was in, saying things such wanting to break up with myself. The police officers at the time did not obtain communication from the station I was liaising information with, making it slightly more difficult and more public attention with some citizens believing I was attempting to assault my partner despite being in front of her parents. Her parents did comfort myself, and I had kept the people including her closest friends informed.
My partner was in a psychiatric ward in hospital for approximately 3 ½ Weeks, with the hospital allowing no visitors during this time. When my partner was discharged, agreeing that being with her parents for a short time during the recovery period was the best way to handle our jobs and for her to receive attention and treatment.
Unfortunately, with her parents agreeing, she was let out far too early and was on the spectrum such as wanting to drink and party. My partner does not drink nor goes out to parties, clubs, raves, or events however I have always been open for her to do what she wants to do. The day after my partner was discharged, she had bricked her phone making herself non-contactable with no friends or people knowing where she was.
Following her parents and the advise from the CATT (Crisis Assessment & Treatment Team), they were on the search for herself again after unable to locate herself. During this time, she did advise one friend of hers of going to an event and did not tell anyone else of her actions or motives. With much concern, and herself making contact with myself she was aware of what happened, and her parents had dropped the concern with the CATT team.
On my end on this same night, she had advised a few of her friends with one advising what she was saying and claimed I abused and controlled her. Knowing straight away that this was false, struggling to think of an example, we later broke up with a nonsense break-up whereas I was still focused due to our shared responsibilities. Her parents advised that with time and medication, that hopefully she would be able to think more “clearly”, and with her parents advising myself that she was physically hitting them during this time.
After hearing about the claims, unfortunately she had gone public on social media posting the claims and sharing videos of our text messages with no evidence of her claims. Being afraid for my career, and her long-term friends starting to question if I was genuine – I was blocked by her friends, and communication had stopped. A few people did show me the misinformation posts spread about myself that led into a 2-month window. I was contacted by the CATT team after the 2-month window being advised that she had relapsed, so I supplied any information I was given to give herself the best support. I did not post on social media on any forms about my private life or relationship, outside two group chats on a high-level advising about the bizarre content that was posted outside the slander.
I was advised by the CATT team and my psychologist to keep the police aware of the misinformation due to cancel culture, with evidenced supplied as I was cut from all communication from her family and friends. No formal report was filed however I was advised to have all communication blocked for my own safety. During this time, I was experiencing worry for the future by having to re-evaluate life, I had significant family and friend issues, a few unfortunate deaths and my mental state had burnt out completely. I did not have any time off from work during this whole period.
After New Years, my partner had reached out to my parents and later to myself. I was startled at first and worried, however she was talking completely normal and realised of her mistakes, actions, and her personal journey. I was treading lightly out of fear and being cut out of communication, until the conversation mentioned that she was not on medication, she rushed a decision and was hallucinating believing that I was “evil” along with her parents. What had sold myself was that I still loved my partner, and she loved myself however with her protective friends and the slander posted, they had advised her not to contact myself.
Fast forward to the present day and she was correct, with me being involved in her new program with a new team including additional psychological assistance. I was identified to be a carer, with no issues and a definitive timeline of events. The re-diagnosis was stress-induced psychosis, with herself addressing issues. We agreed that we will be back together, however I was still caught in the rift of my issues with family, friends, grief, and my career and other income streams having significant issues.
I was living a double life for a few months. I had told my family of what happened and what I want out of life. I just wanted to have everything back to “normal” again. I did not realise of how mentally unprepared I was, keeping in mind that multiple factors did contribute to burning out. My family was very concerned at the time but realised later that I was doing what made myself happy.
As we’ve picked up our plans where we had last left off, my partner at times does not remember the damage caused by herself with my family trying to protect myself. I’m heading to Europe in a week for a holiday with friends as an escape/break from reality, with us moving back in together upon returning.
Although the answer is obvious, I am struggling to return to my “normal” self, as I’m combating both her friends and my family being concerned about myself from the past slander. I am recovered from the event however there was a lot of decisions and actions that was said, with her friends claiming that I have too many “red flags”. These “red flags” have not been identified, characterised, associated with an example or a trait for me to identify and improve upon myself and our long-term relationship.
With a lack of support from her closest friends, choosing to hide away from us, and her younger sister attempting to ruin our relationship with more slander. I am at a point where I do not know how to make healthy actions, whilst I find comfort in ignoring that particular time period on a mental level. I am struggling between chasing my own happiness, whilst on pilot mode and meeting my financial responsibilities being the bare minimum. I have never personally experienced burnout before with such self-diagnosed symptoms including:
• Headaches, unable to eat and physically vomiting water.
• Self-imposed social limitations and not interacting with friends due to no longer feeling aligned with certain values and social mantras.
• Mental factors such as decreased productivity in all aspects including putting my PhD studies and start-up business on hold. I no longer have the same level of passion for my main workplace, with internal politics affected my growth opportunity and income. I do have mortgages to pay off, causing financial stress.
• Body stress factors such as experiencing a lower auto-immune system, including having COVID for the first time, and the flu and tearing my forearm putting myself out of physical exercise for 3 months.
I have actively been speaking to my psychologist, and knowing the feeling of depression from past experiences, we had identified that this is not depression with no medicine to be prescribed to myself. As I know this is a messy situation and with my partner also not knowing why I am taking so long to adjust, I am at a point where I am self-aware of my issues and problems and also traumatised from the experience however I need to move on with my life and make positive life amendments.
As this is my first burnout, does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle my mental health but also be attentive to my partners mental health and to move forward with life?

• My partner and I have been together for over 5 years, I was aware and told she has/had schizophrenia.
• Over the years, we never experienced a single symptom or episode. We are both happy with our plans for our future including marriage, kids etc.
• My partner and I lived together, travelled internationally and domestically. We were both happy with no signs of concern from her family or mine.
• In September 2022, my partner experienced burnout and psychosis for three days. She was found safely and with a minimal group of people who knew details.
• My partner was admitted in a psychiatric ward in the hospital for 3 ½ weeks with zero outside contact, and when she was discharged. She stayed with her parents after being discharged with her mum to look after her.
• My partner went missing the day after being discharged with the hospital and her family asking myself to find her. My partner had bricked her phone and was uncontactable and developed an obsession to party and drink, being opposite to her personality.
• My partner after coming back to her parents advised a few of her friends, with some approaching myself with herself claiming that I “abused and controlled” her.
• Following the advice of her parents, we wanted to give her time to re-adjust however we broke up with no logical reasoning.
• As we had finances shared, I had to be civil and logical with herself whereas she was partying away. She posted slandedefamation on social media publicly regarding the claims with no evidence and a lot of concerned family members and friends approaching myself. She had also physically assaulted her parents during this time.
• My partners closest friends believed the defamation/slander and wanted to protect herself, whereas I was advised to report everything to the police for safety reasons. I understand her family and friends concerns however I was cut from communication.
• My partner had relapsed 2 months later, with the same CATT team contacting me to provide information, in which I did to provide her the best treatment. During this time, her father and I remained in contact out of mutual concern.
• I was experiencing worry for the future by having to re-evaluate life, I had significant family and friend issues, a few unfortunate deaths and my mental state had burnt out completely. I did not have any time off from work during this whole period.
• After New Years, my partner contacted my parents to get in contact with myself. She was not on medication nor has schizophrenia. She admitted that rushed she rushed a decision and was hallucinating believing that I was “evil” along with her parents. What had sold myself was that I still loved my partner, and she loved myself. I want things to return to “normal”.
• My partners new diagnosis is stressed-induced psychosis, in which was more evident with underlining unaddressed childhood traumas she had to face. We agreed to be back together, wanting to ignore this experience as it was more of a self-discovery journey.
• I am happy deep down. I am struggling between chasing my own happiness, whilst on pilot mode and meeting my responsibilities being the bare minimum during this first experience of burnout in all aspects in life. Notably my family experiencing issues, friend issues and support, career issues through internal politics causing financial stress, and my body is physically reacting to the stress.
• I am unable to get out of this pattern for months, and I have been having professional support. I will be in Europe in a week for a holiday.
As this is my first burnout, does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle my mental health but also be attentive to my partners mental health and to move forward with life?

Hi so this is definitely a fun one but uh, im 17 and all the teeth in my mouth are basically rotted out. I never took care of my health as a child and have had bad teeth all my life, and had been smoking since I was 13 and have recently quit (I don’t even know what I look like with white teeth) I went to the dentist again after not going for a few years, and I was told I had cavities in every tooth on my bottom row, and all but front two teeth on top. I’ve been through 20 different 2 hour long awake procedures, had dozens of needles and different kinds of equipment in my mouth and still have yellow teeth and cavities that were never taken care of. All 3 dentists I’ve had so far have mostly brushed off my concerns and my want to get this over with. And all of this has been occurring for the past 3 years. I’ve even had a dentist tell me my teeth were too bad for them to even want to operate and sent me out. I’ve mostly given up hope at this point and assume I’ll be one of those guys who looks like a meth user by the time I’m 20. My parents have already spent all kinds of money on this and I’m going to be on my own soon and can’t afford anything working as a dishwasher. Idk what to do so if anyone could give me some piece of advice that would be great. I can barely chew nowadays or eat anything sweet or cold or hot :/ can’t remember the last time I smiled

Hi everyone! As the title mentions, I'd like to hear people's experience with their ED while actively working long physical labor hours. I know there's another group of older people (30+) dealing with ED but I forgot the name, if anyone knows it id like to post there too!
So, I've been working in the tech field for about a month now, and even if I thought that my body was used to physical work, I find myself really damaging my body (muscles that become really inflamated,water retention in bottom legs and feet, bruises all over my body). I'm looking for some advice, some tricks, and some support because I really do love this job but I have no access to health providers at all.
Working in that field made me question if some of you might work in Construction, or others fields similar to it and I'm really curious to hear your experiences.

I changed my MacBook Pro m1 lcd screen. I made sure to remove the battery first. Now the battery won’t hold a charge without the power adapter. I had no battery issues prior.

Hello. Frankly, I don’t know why I am writing this. Maybe I just want someone to listen and not judge me for feeling like this, even if it’s a faceless person online.
I, f27, have been struggling with my mental health for quite some time now, although recently I felt like I was getting better. I know that I should have seen a mental health professional by now, but I feel like I will break apart if I try to think and talk about all the things that I have pushed down. It’s easier to just go as usual, so that’s how I have feen acting.
Today, I came back home to celebrate my mother’s birthday. It was a very small, family celebration, just me, my mom and my grandma. My mom made food, we had some alcohol and we were talking about a variety of topics. It was all going very well, I was feeling tipsy and happy.
Then, my grandma left to use a toilet. I was enthusiastically talking to my mom about a tattoo she wanted to get some day when she suddenly said that she wants to tell me something. Then she said “If you think that you have depression then I probably haven’t beaten you enough as a child. You grew up fine so stop thinking nonsense”.
It felt like all air was sucked from my lungs. I never talked to her about anything I was feeling. I knew what she would say. That I was just imagining things. That there is something wrong me. That I am mental. So I pretended that I was confused. I asked her why would she think that. She gestured to the restroom and said that my grandma mentioned that she thinks I might have depression because I once had a small breakdown in front of her.
“Why are you tearing up?” I told her that I am not. I pretended that everything was fine, I was participating in conversations, I was laughing at jokes all the way up to the point when I was finally alone in a bathroom of my grandma’s apartment.Then I couldn’t hold it back anymore. I started to silently ugly cry. I couldn’t stop. It’s been about an hour now since then. I almost managed to push it down, even though I still tear up a little. But I think I will manage to fool my grandma into think that my eyes are red just because I took a nap with my contact lenses.
Writing this did help. Even if no one reads it or it will be too incoherent to understand. I will be okay.

i know that lying is wrong, i know that what i did was wrong. but i never lie to anyone else, just to my fucking parents. they cut off my health insurance 3 times, they drained $1300 from my bank account and left me with only $50 when i was 1 week away from being evicted from my dorm. now i'm begging them to get the car back, and for them to reinstate my health insurance, but i wasn't ABLE to get the job that i said that i had earlier - they rescinded their offer because im underage and they didn't notice earlier. i was terrified that they would call me a "lazy ingrate" or "the most horrible person i've ever met" like they did last time, so i decided that they couldn't know, so just now i was literally editing my offer emails with inspect element, copying image addresses, creating fake timestamps and fake names.
i hate how i have to do this. i hate how my dad knows that she literally erases her memories of the bad things she's done in the past, but is too spineless to leave her. he only makes excuses and tells me that i "can't blame her" for the fact that she's literally "very likely to be a narcissist, and clearly has very low levels of empathy and compassion" (from my previous therapist). he only says that i need to be "more patient" with this horrible shit, but then he chastises me for objecting to getting SCREAMED AT for FOUR HOURS because i made a fucking sandwich "wrong", on account of me being autistic. i don't give care if she "looked out for me", she has NO understanding that other people can feel bad about things and that their perspectives matter (I LITERALLY ASKED AND SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T), and she constantly laughs at me when i'm crying, and then she has the audacity to claim that she didn't when my dad and siblings were right fucking there and they saw it.
i'm just so fucking tired and i'm seriously thinking of sacrificing my plans to live in a college dorm next year off of my scholarship, and choose to get a cash refund instead, just so i can get enough money to cut off my parents whenever i want. i know i'll never get back the wasted years, but im almost incapable of being stretched to this limit anymore. i can't even stay with my parents for more than 3 hours without screaming, they've cut off my phone plan 2 times and health insurance 3 times - how the fuck am i supposed to trust that they're going to let me have insurance for the next year??

She is bipolar has been diagnosed with that along with depression and anxiety. I have been diagnosed with PTSD, depression and anxiety. My mental health has stemmed from her and her actions. She put me through hell and back at this point. She has verbally and emotionally abused me basically my whole life. She claims I’m “mean” but really the only reason is my tone changes depending on the conversation. I financially depend on her due to my one physical conditions I haven’t been able to find a job to accommodate. I’m 18(f) and she tells me she doesn’t want me to leave because I’m the only one there for her. I clean the house as much as I can and make meals when possible. I started documenting incidents right after before my mind blocks it out. So pretty much the other day she called me stupid for not handing her the correct water house. That might not sound to bad but she screams this at me along with more insults. Then she just apologizes only when I walk away just for her to do it again a few hours or days later. But she just continues to do it over and over and say I don’t love her when I don’t do something correctly. She keeps telling people she’s so much better but she’s not. My PTSD is triggered by slamming things and yelling and she is the one who caused it. She will wake me up slamming dishes and cabinets and will say sorry she doesn’t care about my triggers. She does not care about my feelings truly I don’t think. She just says it’s not to bad I’m just dramatic or sensitive. I plan on moving out when I can hopefully within a few months. Due to her sheltering and antics I have no drivers license. I have now started to reach out and start driving with friends. So I will get my license soon but she is trying everything to stop me from pursuing my own life. She continues to do irrational things and blame her own pain and suffering on whoever is around. She knows the problem is her and has admitted it but she still hasn’t changed. She is to mentally ill to live with or be around. She has some good moments and that’s what keeps me here. I’m in therapy and so is she I was advised to leave her alone and not argue back and to walk away. I’m having a hard time walking away from her when she’s throwing insults or telling me I do nothing right. I need help to deal with her until I can leave.

I'm almost 35 and decided to go back to school to finish that graduate thing I need to be able to go to university. If everything goes well, I'll start going to uni at age 36 or 37! And I'm so ridiculously excited. I can just do that.
My BIL is around 40 and wants to go to uni so bad, but he is a single dad to 3 children and has to work overtime to keep them afloat. He's incredibly burnt out and tired of his job for a bunch of years now, but can't just make a big change bc he needs to feed his kids.

If you have kids depending on you, your options to do anything are very, very limited. I fixed my mental health, am working on my physical health, and looking forward to kick some ass. I can't imagine just being stuck for 20+ years.

I’m a New Yorker who had just this weekend in Berlin. Of course I’ve heard of the great wonder of Berghain, but seeing that Terence was playing was what really made me want to give it a shot.
I initially took all the word of mouth advice that friends, some of which who have never been to Europe, had seemed to have about how to get into the club. It was looking at this sub that made me realize it was more about expressing yourself.
Last night at midnight, I came as I was. In fact, I hadn’t even dressed up, I was in my street clothes that I had worn throughout the day. White white pants with a denim jacket. As I watched loads get rejected right before me, I will admit that I felt a bit of tension, but reminded myself that I really had nothing to lose. When it was my turn, there was a stall in the line before the bouncer gave me the go ahead to go in. What an indescribable relief.
Those next 15 hours in Berg were some of the best of my life. What an environment. Not only was I glad to catch Terence’s set, I’m elated to have been able to experience this phenomenon in my short time in Berlin. So thank you, Berghain, for easing a lot of my stress and making last night unforgettable.

I am a minor, and I’ve been trapped in an abusive situation for my entire life. At least, I believe it’s abusive, or at the very least toxic.
The abuse isn’t physical, but more verbal/emotional/psychological. A big portion of it is that my father is extremely concerned about the safety of our family (mother, brother, and I). Prior to the pandemic (middle school age and younger), I was rarely allowed to hang out with friends outside of school. In these cases (less than 5), my father either had to be present for the entire time, or I had to be in a public place (like a library) with my older brother present for the entire time. This was to avoid myself potentially being kidnapped or assaulted at another person’s house. (I am female) It didn’t matter that most of my friends were girls; my father was worried that their uncles would show up without advance notice, or that their brothers would assault me.
To this day, I have walked down my own street unsupervised less than 5 times in my entire life. I live in the suburbs (not a city or somewhere with a high crime rate), but I am not allowed to step outside of my house’s property lines unless I am walking to my bus stop for school. Additionally, if myself or my mother are in our backyard and a neighbor is nearby, we must go inside and hide until they are gone before returning outside.
Since the pandemic hit, I have been almost fully isolated from the outside world unless there is a necessary event or school. I have just graduated high school, but I haven’t been with my friends outside of a school event in the past four years. My father believes socialization with friends is important only if you “have nothing better to do,” and that I have already achieved enough socialization at business events.
My father also has extreme anger issues and is extremely controlling toward my family. He often yells at my mother or questions her for hours (sometimes 5 hours at a time), and will get angrier if she loses patience or raises her voice back (he views this as disrespectful). I myself often get into trouble for “lying” (as in saying something that is true but he doesn’t think is right), misspeaking, or other things. He views his anger as uncontrollable and expects us to accommodate his temper. I also believe he is manipulative, as he almost always blames us if he is angry (“Why are you always like this? We could have avoided this if you had _____”). I have tried multiple times to express that him yelling at my mother has affected my mental health, but he blames me for that as well, telling me that all couples are like this and I’m making this a problem in my head – all I have to do is stop being affected and tell myself that I don’t need to be sad. He has specifically told me that if I keep crying when he yells at my mother, then my mother will not be able to talk much anymore (because he yells at her constantly for saying things he doesn’t approve of). He has taken to calling me “emotionally weak” if I cry, and reminds me that I need to “grow up.”
He is also racist and homophobic. My brother and I are often lectured about how those who are LGBT+ are mentally ill and need to be fixed for the “survival of humanity”. I am bisexual, but have kept my identity hidden from everyone in my family except for my brother and one cousin for this reason. I am also not allowed to date at this time (even though I am almost 18), and will be questioned if I am seen talking to a boy or if I have befriended a boy.
The result of all of this is that I have been feeling increasingly trapped. I began harming myself 2-3 years ago to cope with not being able to cry freely. I feel as if my life is always falling apart. I come home from school to screaming and anger, and I always feel tense as I try to not set my father off. I will be attending a university that is several states away in the fall, but he has repeatedly threatened to force me to transfer to a school very close by if I am not continuously obedient. I am not actively trying to kill myself, but I always think about it.
I have been increasingly emotionally unstable. At my worst points, all I want to do is die, and then minutes later I feel better and fear that I am simply being dramatic. I always feel ungrateful that I do not appreciate my father’s concern for my safety, but at the same time, I was almost completely robbed of a normal and healthy childhood. I don’t see a way out of this situation except for death. I cannot actively seek a way to improve the situation, because my father will simply further isolate me as punishment for being disrespectful.
To be honest, I hate my life, and I hate myself. I have a boyfriend of over a year who I feel safe with, but I’m terrified of being discovered by my father and losing my emotional support (my father would most likely also cut me off from my friends). I am terrified of being myself even when my father is not around, as I am paranoid about my father seeing pictures on others’ social media posts that will expose me.
I don’t see this getting better. I am hopeless in every sense, knowing that I have to deal with this situation or otherwise deal with it becoming worse. My close friends and boyfriend are aware, but they can’t do anything more than offer emotional support, and sometimes that’s not enough. Sometimes I just want to escape, and death feels like the only way. In college, my father will not allow me to go off campus, nor will he allow me to socialize in other students’ dorms – he expects me to go to classes and otherwise remain in my dorm room, and he will call me regularly to check that I am being obedient.
I don’t think I can live like this anymore. I don’t even know if it’s worth it to live anymore. Maybe I’m being overdramatic. Maybe I’m just an ungrateful and selfish person who doesn’t care about safety. I don’t know.

Thank god even though she was alone her health is fine I have her 2 weeks now. She is cuddly and all she needs is love. She gets along with people, she is scared at first but seconds after she is jumping and cuddling. She is afraid of other dogs and often growls. I think she is going to be fine it’s too early and she never had relationships with dogs or humans.
The thing is, she is clingy or has separation anxiety. She is glued with me, follows me everywhere in the house. Even when she sleeps I leave her quietly and she understands it immediately and follows me. I got her a crate but I read so many opinions that I don’t know what to do. I close her door every night and she is ok. She sleeps well. In some days I will start work again and I will be gone for 6 hours so she needs to be in her crate during that time. I made her crate friendly for her with toys, chewing toys etc and treats. I closed the door yesterday at noon and left, after 5 minutes she started crying and then barking. This lasted for about 20 minutes and then she stopped. After 40 minutes I let her out. Is that the right way? Some say to not crate a dog with separation others say I should, I have work so there is no other way… , some say I should ignore her when she is following me constantly some no. What should I do I want the best for her. 💛

This year should see the release of the Rubber Soul: Special Edition boxset which will follow the model of every release going back to the 2017 Sgt. Pepper anniversary edition. Remix of the original album alongside demos, surround sound mix, a new mono transfer and some photos and baubles in a nice package. But after Rubber Soul, things get tricky in terms of additional material. There's just not enough from the first five albums to justify individual releases so we may see twofers or even a fivefer making the rounds as an 'Early Years' boxset containing the first four or five albums, remixed alongside their mono counterparts, whatever demo material they can scrape together and maybe a live show or two.
Moving forward from Rubber Soul, here's how I see Giles Martin and the team at Abbey Road finishing off the Beatles discography -
- Either one or two boxsets that wrap up the initial album discography of Please Please Me, With the Beatles, A Hard Day's Night, Beatles for Sale and Help! with any demo material on-hand, live shows and other odds and sods like the Christmas records and cleaned-up bootlegs such as the Star Club.
- A Yellow Submarine / Magical Mystery Tour boxset themed around the movies themselves.
- A Past Masters boxset. This one could be excellent as there's a ton of sessions material still unreleased for most of the tracks.
After that, everything is pretty much remixed, released and out there in terms of albums, demos and oddities.
Anything else I've missed? I'd like to see a remastered Anthology documentary series using high definition elements where possible and some new concert films edited together like Shea Stadium.

What is relationship abuse?
Relationship abuse is a pattern of abusive and coercive behaviors used to maintain power and control over a former or current intimate partner. Why is it dangerous?
^{Victim-blaming attitudes marginalize the victim/survivor and make it harder to come forward and report the abuse. If the victim/survivor knows that you or society blames survivors for abuse, they will not feel safe or comfortable coming forward and talking to you.
Victim-blaming attitudes also reinforce the manipulative tactics that abusers use to control their partner; abusers tell survivors that it is their fault this is happening. Committing violence is always the choice of the person who is abusing. It is NOT the victim/survivor’s fault or responsibility to fix the violence that an abuser is committing against them. By engaging in victim-blaming attitudes, society allows abusive people to perpetrate relationship abuse or sexual assault while avoiding accountability for those actions.

Where does it come from?
^{In order to stop victim-blaming, it is helpful to understand why it occurs in the first place. One reason that people blame a victim/survivor is to distance themselves from an unpleasant occurrence. This gives a false sense that this could not happen to them. By labeling or accusing the victim/survivor, others can see the victim/survivor as different from themselves. People use the Just World theory, Invulnerability theory, and Assumptive World theory in an attempt to feel like they have control over situations where they do not have control. People reassure themselves by thinking, “Because I am not like the victim/survivor, because I do not do XYZ, this would never happen to me.” We need to help people understand that a survivor’s actions do not contribute to a perpetrator’s (those that choose to harm decision to commit relationship abuse and sexual violence. It is our responsibility as members of society to support survivors and hold abusers accountable.})
What does victim blaming look like?
^{Common Victim Blaming Statements:}

• ^{“The victim provoked him”}
• ^{“They both have problems”}
• ^{“The victim shouldn’t have married him after”}
• ^{“The victim was drunk”}
• ^{“They can’t be abused, because they are in an LGBTQI+ relationship”}

^{Example of Victim-Blaming Attitude:}

• ^{“She must have provoked him into being abusive. They both need to change.”}

^{Reality: This statement assumes that the victim is equally to blame for the abuse, when in reality, abuse is a conscious choice made by the abuser. Abusers have a choice in how they react to their partner’s actions. Options besides abuse include: walking away, talking in the moment, respectfully explaining why an action is frustrating, breaking up, etc. Additionally, abuse is not about individual actions that incite the abuser to hurt the victim/survivor, but rather about the abuser’s feelings of entitlement to do whatever the abuser wants to their partner. When friends and family remain neutral about the abuse and say that both people need to change, they are taking away responsibility from the perpetrator (those that choose to harm}, ^{thereby colluding with/supporting the abusive partner and making it less likely that the survivor will seek support.})
^{Victim Blaming in Language:One of the biggest sources of victim blaming is the way we talk about it. Language surrounding abuse and sexual assault immediately puts our attention on the victim instead of the perpetrator. This is a demonstration developed by Julia Penelope and frequently used by Jackson Katz to show how language can be victim blaming:}

• ^{John beat Mary; This sentence is written in active voice. It is clear who is committing the violence.}
• ^{Mary was beaten by John; The sentence has been changed to passive voice, so Mary comes first.}
• ^{Mary was beaten; Notice that John is removed from the sentence completely. Our attention is completely focused on Mary.}
• ^{Mary is a battered woman; Being a battered woman is now part of Mary’s identity. John is not a part of the statement, and he will not be held accountable for his choice to abuse.}

^{As you can see, the focus has shifted entirely to Mary instead of John, encouraging the audience to focus on the survivor’s actions instead of the perpetrator’s actions. The solutions regarding prevention become focused on what Mary can do differently, not on what John can do differently, and not on how society creates a culture that supports John’s behavior.}
What can I do about it?

• ^{Recognize that victim-blaming can take on many forms and manifest in unique ways, which can be rooted in racist, sexist, and/or homophobic attitudes present in society.}
