Hd connect login

My laptop has become slow and sluggish since sometime late 2022, including a loud grindy fan, freezing, wifi inconsistency, occasional fixing drive on reboot, struggles to load desktop icons on reboot login, etc.
I know it's gonna die at some point so I want to be prepared to replace it.
My current laptop is an Acer Spin 3 sp315-51, purchased around early 2017.

I'd preferably want something that doesn't downgrade the specs in any way.
What I'd like in a new laptop however would be:

- More ram, anything higher than 12 would be nice, I'm the type to have a lot of tabs at once so I want it to be able to handle my nonsense.
- Has 1000 GB or more in storage space. I wanna at very least be able to put a handful of games on there.
- Running Windows 10, I'm just comfortable there and I don't want to bother learning 11.
- Touch screen if possible. Not mandatory, but I'd love to have it.
- Reset pinhole. Just in case.

I could care less about the tablet/tent gimmick, so a regular clamshell form factor would suffice, no need for another spin-series model.
My budget is around $500 or so, anyone got any recommendations?

So i have an ASUS vivobook series and for some reason it had issues with power on with no display. Had it sent to the Service Center and they replaced the Main Board. Now upon powering on, it prompted for the Bitlocker key and as i was aware of it by logging in to the MS account. Entered the Bitlocker key and now it prompts for the password. The already set Biometrics and PIN doesn't work. But weird that the same Microsoft account password also shows incorrect. Im connected to the Internet.
How do i login or reset the password ensuring that the data isn't lost. Or is there any possible fix to this without having the data lost. I know an OS reinstallation works. But wanted ro Make sure if there is any way to have the data/files

I am relocating family to 3 different homes within a month. I am set on ending cable subscriptions for content.
I have moved my mother. She has defined her content needs as I want PBS, MSNBC, major channels, etc. Her new home wired to Xfinity, which is how she will get her Internet (for the time being). Her need for speed can be 25 Mbps, certainly no more than 50 Mbps. Her TV is a 32 inch Toshiba model 32LF221U21 (720p, not even 1080p) (specs include Fire TV smart platform with featured streaming being Netflix, Disney+, Prime, Hulu and YouTube. Her router is a TP-Link Model Archer A7 (AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router); her cable modem is SMC Model D3CM1604-000, in a 1 story 55+ apartment one floor, one bedroom, no complicated floor plan.
My brother is asking about HDTV antenna reception (for PBS). As for MSNBC, I am looking into YouTube TV, Sling, other content services, and also for the "major channels" (or local broadcast stations, solved if HDTV works).
I am asking what is practical to do in getting content to that TV to its current quality. I also want to know if the TV will connect to the router wirelessly or by wire without degradation of quality. I have done this through the phone using Chromecast device with 1080p TV, and using a range extender. But I can't be having visual "wow and flutter" or pixelation or artifacting, whatever it is called, since I will get questions of "what's going on with the TV picture?"

• I'm fine with AMD. After researching Adobe and AMD/Intel - anything is an upgrade from my current i7-4790K/GTX960 setup, and my Adobe needs run fine with that. I don't do video editing or 3D graphics. I was looking at the Microcenter Ryzen 9 7950X bundle, and considering building around that if it works for my needs.

So today I joined a random lobby in cs to play some mm with.
But these guys wanted me to join a Discord server that uses a Site called "weplay-match.de", and I created an account for it.
Obv I used a randomly generated password that I have never used.
I but I still needed to connect Steam, and like every other site, the steam login popup came.
But I didn't log in even tho the login window looked legit (With the QR code).
I told them I just wanted to play mm and left. Did I dodge a bullet with this one or was this harmless?

In the last 6 months, I started at a new org with a massive heap of technical debt. While getting settled, we were hit with ransomware and my leadership contracted with an IT company that came in and made a lot of "security" changes with fairly reckless abandon for how things ended up working for end users. I am specifically charged with restoring the user experience for SharePoint on premises 2019.
Before it comes up, I work for a university with a terrible habit of uploading full videos of lectures directly into SharePoint. When I started, we had multi-terabyte content databases, which I have worked to split off. I say this because the cost of moving to SharePoint online has been determined to be cost prohibitive at this time; it would be double-digit terabytes of storage for their end use case.
We have a hybrid directory, so on-prem AD and then additionally azure AD, and they sync between each other. The Azure AD was implemented by the breach remediation company, so I have limited access and often have to submit tickets to their company for things. SharePoint 2019 was working fine with users connecting to on-prem AD, but following the remediation, multiple things broke; they disabled NTLM which was one of the authentication providers for SharePoint (We flipped it to Kerberos), and since Office365 was switched over to Azure AD accounts but windows login was not, when a user browses to SharePoint in the web browser they were identified by Kerberos, but when they clicked a document and they tried to open it with office, they received an access denied message.
SharePoint was considered "Out of scope" for their breach remediation contract, so I began trying to work to get it going. Additionally, I had to convert all of our users and groups to new identifiers. This was some version of the following via script in the sharepoint shell (azureadtrustprod is the enterprise application identifier we created):

This worked. Users can, for the most part, load the web pages, and open documents directly into office. It's sloppy and clearly far from best practice, but the user experience is that it is working.
Now that we're living with it, things are clearly far from perfect, and I'm not sure where to start to fix it. For starters, lets say I need to share a site with a new user, and I want to give them edit rights, the user search doesn't auto-populate at all. In fact, I've had a ton of trouble correctly identifying users at all; if I go to "Central Admin -> Application Management -> Manage Service Applications -> User Profile Service Application -> Manage User Profiles" I can see the new objects with the correct identifier in the account name, but if I search one of those names it's a total crapshoot. Sometimes they line up with correct groups and users, sometimes they don't. When I go to a site, and see my name in the upper right, sometimes it's my email, sometimes it's my account name (with the whole i:0e.tazureadprod prefix), sometimes it's my display name.
There is no synchronization connection at all in the user profile service application. I think I need to set up a sync to Azure AD, but I'm a bit concerned about adding that and either duplicating users, or somehow messing up existing users, etc.
One thing I noticed; if I go to "Application Management -> Site Collection Administrators" and try to browse to add users to a security principle, the search pulls the 2 correct users from the on-prem AD (via "Organizations") but it allows an invalid free-text name in the AzureADProd auth provider, which is an issue, because Admins granting permissions can type a name, get a success, but it's not a real name and it creates a permission record that does nothing:

Last thing; there is a limited access vault, and I can't assign individual permissions to folders within that vault. I think that's how vaults are supposed to work? However, before all this, users said they had limited access to individual folders in there. It seems I don't need a limited access vault at all, but standard permissions would work; that being said, I am not an owner for the site and no account I try is owner, so it appears I cannot disable limited access?
Clearly a lot is going on, but right now the user experience is stable, so despite it looking completely broken from my side, status is all green and I do not want to break the user experience. Any advice is appreciated.

I'm trying to find a good IEM. That would be my first "audiophile" purchase.
My current system is an Edifier R1000T4 (which I love), a Sennheiser HD 350BT and a Samsung Galaxy Bud2. Both bluetooth phones are OK, but they have a grainy thing that I don't have the proper audiophile vocabulary to explain. So, because of that, and because I'm tired of connection issues, I decided to buy an IEM.
I think I'm more on the neutral side of things, but I like to hear the bass. I don't know if what I'm saying make sense, but I don't want "boost", I want clarity (detail?) in the bass area. Messing a little bit with EQ, and from what I have read, I understand now that bass boost and bass quality are not the same thing.
I think the Truthear Zero Red may be a good choice, because it has a different driver for bass, but I'm not sure if this even make sense.
Based on reviews I have read, my options today are the Zero Red, Chu, Hola and Wan'er. Anything below USD60 and available on AliExpress is ok.
I plan to use it on my iPhone with a dongle and on my Mac Mini, also with a dongle (the jack is for the loudspeakers).

Hey guys, A NAS newbie here. I am planning to purchase a new NAS probably a DS220+ for a personal media server. But I recently moved into a new apartment where the WiFi is free (Ask4Wireless) and provided by the management agency. The issue here is I don’t have access to the router to connect the NAS via Ethernet. I get a user account where I have to login and register my device’s MAC ID to get access to WiFi on that device. Is there a way where I can setup a NAS or a personal media server where I don’t have to keep a PC or laptop running 24/7?? Thanks.

I have a question regarding my preamp setup and the possibility of modifying it to have XLR outputs. Currently, my preamp has both variable and fixed RCA outputs, while my power amp offers XLR inputs in addition to RCA inputs. I understand that there are RCA to XLR cables available, but I'm aware that these do not provide the benefits of true XLR-to-XLR cables and lack balanced connections. Now I'm using RCA to RCA.
Therefore, I'm curious if anyone in this community has experience or knowledge about modifying a preamp to incorporate XLR outputs. I'm open to sacrificing the RCA outputs if needed, as long as I can achieve the benefits of XLR connections.
The pre-amp is a Marantz HD-DAC 1 and the power amp is the NAD c268.
Any insights, advice, or personal experiences with such modifications would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

I maintain multiple sites for clients use MemberMouse, and with all the e-mail they get daily, the missed the email from 3 months ago announcing it was sold, so when one of them got a notice in their admin about stripe setting needing to be updated, and it used to be you put in your API keys, and now it takes you to the site of the new owners (caseproof.com), asking for MemberMouse login credentials then takes you to Stripe to login (something it never did before) he was concerned. (the main site for the CaseProof makes no mention of Membermouse unless to browse to their blog and go back and find the old post.)

I did write to Membermouse suggesting they give a link to the info on the notice that you need to update Stripe for old users, and maybe as well on the base site for caseproof.com as that is the domain the logins are required on, and it is a different way of connecting strip than used to. I also inquired about grandfathered into the old, lower pricing, awaiting to hear back, as the one client is concerned about needing to come up with 5 annual subscriptions suddenly instead of continuing to pay monthly for 5 site package. EDIT, heard back existing customers will remain at their current billing as long as the account remains active.

Hey folks! I'm retiring my windows file server which runs PLEX for the house and am building a new NAS. I have an AMD 3700X left over from upgrading to a 5950X in my gaming desktop, so I bought some new hardware to build based on that.
Fractal Design Define R5, Prime B450M A II, 3700X, 32G @ 3200, 500G m.2 boot drive and 6x 6TB SATA disks for a 30TB RAID5 setup. Using an old Radeon HD low profile card just to give me something to connect a monitor to since the CPU will do all the legwork for PLEX. I'll be running TrueNAS Core on the box.
Since I'm retiring the windows box running PLEX Media Server, are there any "gotcha's" to spin up PLEX on the NAS and moving the database over from the old system? Both will be online at the same time for a little while while I copy the media over from the old server to the new one.
Beyond this, any perceived issues with the hardware I'm using for the new NAS? I understand that the 3700X might be a bit overkill, just happens to be the one component I already had available so I built around that.

I am here to share my shocking recent port in experience. This is not to downvote visible by any means but just to highlight some problem points which hopefully visible can fix if they ever read
I initiated new connection with visible 3 days back and started port request from US Mobile. I was activating eSim on Iphone 13.
I have tried eSim with Visible, T Mobile and Mint in past and the experience has been mostly positive but this time it was different.
First the temp number that visible gives did not activated for about 24 hours, different reps kept mentioned some backend glitch. We/or escalation team can fix very quick etc. Finally yesterday morning, I was able to login visible app and see the temp line. Then began port trouble.
Different reps kept mentioning line has to be active on other carrier and it will port, there is some backend issue. ( all previous port out were done in few min, so call me impatient or whatever)
I read in reddit forums, there is no auto release on US Mobile end, so I requested them to release since I am porting to different carrier which they did. I lost service on US Mobile eSim but port did not complete to Visible.
Upon multiple chats, same assurance it is some issue without mentioning what .. wait . by last night - some rep said .. oh, the number is not active on other carrier, that is why port did not work. Ask them to reinstate line to which USMobile said, now they dont have authority to do anything with that number. Visible said we cant do much. We can give you new number.
USMobile told they can happily do 3 way call to triage issue but visible does not even have 1800 number and neither they did agree. So i had to spent another sleepness night since it is my primary number which I am holding over a decade plus and or verge of losing.
This morning, I finally get email from visible saying port completed, delete old esim and power cycle, do new etc. I deleted all sim, even removed physical ones - the app did not let me complete new e-sim install.
again hours of chat to reconfirm email, 10s of things and same assurane, we are working on it. Finally I got email few min abck and now app was able to add the service plan with my number,
on one end, I am thankful for all rep/team who worked to fix the issue but other side - very frustrated for getting my anxiety attacks, unfaithful replies and different info every time.
Lesson learned -

1. eSim is still crime. may be opting physical sim would have been better.
2. the port out process is no joke. If number goes in Limbo, better be with standard carrier who have more streamline process.

Either stick with 1 of 3 standard carrier or stay with stable MVNO. Try to take juice out ( more cheap) and one may run into issues with no coming back.
Let me know any suggestions, what I would've done differently to avoid.
