2023.05.30 10:35 musicboxofsadness My birthday is tomorrow, and I won't be counting calories

This is a pretty big deal for me and something I've been both trying to coax myself into and talk myself out of depending on where I've been at with my disorder as of late. For the first time in 576 days, I won't be counting any calories. I counted my last birthday and looking back my memories of that time feel so tainted by the constant anxiety and not being fully present during the celebrations my friends and family threw for me because calories were always haunting my mind. I've bought a quater slice of chocolate cheesecake from The Cheesecake Shop and I'm planning to eat some of that as a special breakfast tomorrow. I've also been promising myself for months that I'd buy myself a can of Cherry Coke on my birthday, and I hope I can still stick to that plan and not end up skipping out on it. My Dad is taking me out to a place that does Cajun Creole to celebrate after uni, and I'm gonna really try not to think of the food as numbers. Fuck this disorder and how much it's taken from me, fuck that little demon voice that screams at me abusively everytime I don't eat perfectly enough for its liking, fuck MyFitnessPal and all the other calorie counting apps for the mental torment that they have enabled, fuck everyone in my life who has ever had anything unpleasant to say about my body, and most importantly, FUCK the sick society that straight up encouraged me to reach this point. I'm gonna order whatever the fuck I want at that restaurant, order a little bit of everything to get a bit of a flavour range, I might even have a glass of red wine alongside dinner. Hell, maybe I'll even get a DESSERT afterwards. I looked at the menu online and they have a classic American apple pie with ice cream or rich chocolate cake with cherry sauce, and both sound equally tempting.
I know I'll most definitely feel the guilt the day after, and I may even feel the guilt during the dinner itself. I don't care. I'm gonna try push it down and focus on the things that really matter. Maybe I'm being too cocky but I want my 22nd birthday to mean something goddamn it.
The only other thing I have to mention is that my doctor's appointment to discuss treatment plans and where to move forward with my ED is scheduled for the day after. I'm a bit concerned that they're going to want to weigh me and that the number that comes back won't be accurate because of water retention and food waste, and I don't want that to both trigger me and make it seem like I'm overexaggerating my suffering for attention, because even though I'll still be underweight I worry that I won't be underweight enough for them to take me seriously. I'm wondering if it would be possible to be able to politely decline if they ask to weigh me and instead give them my the average of all my weigh-ins for the past 2 weeks. I feel that'd be more accurate and doesn't allow for fluctuations to skew my doctor's perception. Has anyone on here had experience with this and can offer their 2 cents on the situation?

Caution: It's important to remember that these evaluations are guides to potential health concerns and not definitive measures of a product's safety or efficacy. They are based on individual ingredients rather than any negative effects the final product may have. The way ingredients interact in a formulation can influence their potential impact, and the presence of a specific ingredient does not automatically equate to harm when used in a product. It's always crucial to do your own research, consider the product as a whole, and keep in mind that personal reactions can vary greatly. When making decisions about personal care products, it is recommended to consult with healthcare professionals.

Brief: For those whose infants exhibit skin sensitivity or have previously grappled with rash issues, careful consideration should be applied when utilizing this product. Despite the absence of high hazard ingredients and the minimal presence of only two moderate hazard ingredients, the incorporation of Phenoxyethanol presents a potential risk for infants already dealing with rashes. It has the propensity to exacerbate skin concerns in such scenarios. Nevertheless, in instances where infants do not display allergic reactions or rash complications, this product could be a considerably suitable option.

Ingredients:
Liquid: Water, coco glucoside, xanthan gum, glyceryl oleate, phenoxyethanol, sodium benzoate, tetrasodium glutamate diacetate, citric acid, sodium citrate.
Fabric: No Information

Typical ingredients description and side effects

  • Phenoxyethanol
    • Phenoxyethanol is used as a preservative in cosmetic products and also as a stabilizer in perfumes and soaps. Exposure to phenoxyethanol has been linked to reactions ranging from eczema to severe, life-threatening allergic reactions. Infant oral exposure to phenoxyethanol can acutely affect nervous system function.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Skin Irritation: In some cases, phenoxyethanol can cause skin irritation or an allergic reaction, presenting as redness, itching, or a rash. Babies have sensitive skin and may be more susceptible to such reactions.
      • Allergic Reactions: Though less common, some people may experience an allergic reaction to phenoxyethanol, which could result in symptoms like hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing.
      • Eczema: It is also a common allergic reaction to skin exposure of products containing one percent or more phenoxyethanol. Reactions only occur in the area of application and eczema subsides after avoidance of the product causing irritation.
      • Acute nervous system effects (infants): In 2008, the FDA warned consumers not to purchase Mommy’s Bliss Nipple Cream. Phenoxyethanol, found in the cream, was depressing the central nervous system and causing vomiting and diarrhea in breast feeding infants. Symptoms of a depressed nervous system include a decrease in infant’s appetite, difficulty waking the infant, limpness of extremities and change in skin color. There is no known health risk to the mother.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 4

  • Sodium Benzoate
    • Sodium benzoate is a type of salt of benzoic acid and is commonly used as a preservative in many types of products, including food, medicines, and personal care products like baby wipes. It's used to prevent the growth of microbes, thereby prolonging the shelf life of products.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Skin Irritation: Some people might experience skin irritation from products containing sodium benzoate. This could present as redness, itching, or a rash. Babies have sensitive skin, so they may be more susceptible to irritation.
      • Allergic Reactions: Though rare, some individuals may have an allergic reaction to sodium benzoate, which could result in symptoms such as redness, swelling, or hives.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 3

The grading system used by EWG in the Skin Deep database is as follows:
1 to 2: Low hazard
3 to 6: Moderate hazard
7 to 10: High hazard

2023.05.30 09:42 as400king Girl I like does she like me back we have sex

So me and this girl have sex on a regular basis I’m talking 3-4 times a week, on top of this we cuddle, hold hands, kiss, and go out to eat / mini vacation trips.
I like this girl so I asked her if she wanted to date she said no we are just friends and she doesn’t like me and I’m not allowed to like her ? But her action doesn’t show what she’s saying.
We went on a trip and we were walking she crossed her arms around my arms ? She acts like a girlfriend and genuinely cares for me saves me the last bite of ice cream, reminds me to do stuff she knows I’ll forget. She came in and gave me a kiss randomly when I made her happy. She gets jealous when I’m talking to other girls or see my hinge notification. She always text me back right away and when I’m with her I see her ignoring other peoples text.
Also wondering if she likes me and just making me chase / playing games only been 4 weeks.
  1. She tells me there’s work conferences she’s going to and I should come.
  2. Then she sends me screen shots of hinge guys she’s talking to ?
  3. Then she tells me she’s horny
  4. Then she tells me we should go and buy one way tickets to SE asia and live there together ?
This is all in the span of 4 hours.
Also side note she’s friends with my ex and I think she’s scared her friends are judging her if she starts a relo with me? She wants to like me but she can’t due to her friends? Hence point #4 get a fresh start ?

Amazon Basics Tear-Free Baby Shampoo

Caution: It's important to remember that these evaluations are guides to potential health concerns and not definitive measures of a product's safety or efficacy. They are based on individual ingredients rather than any negative effects the final product may have. The way ingredients interact in a formulation can influence their potential impact, and the presence of a specific ingredient does not automatically equate to harm when used in a product. It's always crucial to do your own research, consider the product as a whole, and keep in mind that personal reactions can vary greatly. When making decisions about personal care products, it is recommended to consult with healthcare professionals.

Brief: While this product, produced and distributed by Amazon as a house brand, stands out for its cost-effectiveness, it does contain certain ingredients that may be of concern to some parents. It features 2 synthetic color additives and 1 fragrance for aesthetic and olfactory appeal. The synthetic additive D&C Yellow No. 10, aimed at delivering a visually appealing color, can increase sun sensitivity amongst other side effects. Moreover, the additive 'Fragrance', incorporated for an appealing scent, could potentially induce respiratory and eczema issues in certain infants. Hence, parents who are apprehensive about these potential side effects should be cautious while considering this product for use.

Ingredients: Water, PEG-80 sorbitan laurate, cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium laureth sulfate, PEG-150 distearate, fragrance, tetrasodium EDTA, polyquaternium-10, PEG-175 diisostearate, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, sodium hydroxide, sodium chloride, yellow 10, orange 4.

Typical ingredients description and side effects

  • Peg-80 Sorbitan Laurate
    • PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate is a surfactant and emulsifier that's often used in cosmetics and personal care products, including baby shampoos. It helps to mix oil and water-based ingredients, and can help to cleanse the skin and hair by helping water to mix with oil and dirt, allowing them to be rinsed away.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Skin Irritation: While PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate is generally considered safe, some individuals might experience skin irritation or an allergic reaction, such as redness, itching, or a rash. However, these instances are relatively rare.
      • Eye Irritation: As with any soap product, there is a potential for eye irritation if the product gets into the eyes. This can lead to discomfort and temporary redness. It's always important to avoid the eye area when using shampoo.
      • Environmental Considerations: PEGs (polyethylene glycols), including PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, are petroleum-based compounds, and there are concerns about their biodegradability and impact on the environment.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 4

  • Cocamidopropyl Betaine
    • Cocamidopropyl betaine is a surfactant commonly used in personal care products, including baby lotions, due to its mild cleansing and foaming properties. It is generally well-tolerated and considered safe for use. However, in some rare cases, individuals may experience certain side effects.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Skin Irritation: Although uncommon, some individuals may be sensitive or allergic to cocamidopropyl betaine. This can lead to skin irritation or allergic reactions such as redness, itching, rash, or hives. If your baby develops any of these symptoms after using a baby lotion containing cocamidopropyl betaine, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
      • Eye Irritation: Direct contact of cocamidopropyl betaine with the eyes may cause mild eye irritation. It is important to avoid contact with the eyes and rinse thoroughly with water if accidental exposure occurs.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 4

  • Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)
    • Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) is a common ingredient used in many cleaning and hygiene products, including shampoos, body washes, and toothpastes. It's a surfactant, a type of compound that helps create lather and makes a product more effective at removing dirt and oils. In baby shampoos, SLES is often used because it's milder and less irritating to the skin and eyes than some other types of surfactants, like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). Nonetheless, there has been ongoing debate about the safety of SLES, especially in products used on babies and young children.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Skin Irritation: SLES can be irritating to the skin, especially if left on for extended periods of time or used in high concentrations. This can lead to redness, dryness, or itching. People with sensitive skin or skin conditions such as eczema may be more prone to these effects.
      • Eye Irritation: If a product containing SLES gets into the eyes, it can cause irritation, resulting in redness and discomfort.
      • Possible Contamination with 1,4-Dioxane: During the manufacturing process of SLES, it can potentially be contaminated with 1,4-Dioxane, a substance that has been classified as a possible human carcinogen. However, this is generally at extremely low levels, if present at all, and most manufacturers have processes in place to remove this contaminant.
      • Environmental Impact: There are some concerns about the environmental impact of SLES, particularly its potential for bioaccumulation in aquatic organisms.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 3

  • PEG-150 Distearate
    • PEG-150 Distearate is a polyethylene glycol (PEG) ester of stearic acid. It's commonly used in personal care products, including baby wipes, as an emulsifier, thickener, or cleansing agent. While PEG-150 Distearate is generally considered safe for use in personal care products, there are potential side effects.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Skin Irritation: In rare cases, some individuals might experience minor skin irritation or an allergic reaction such as redness, itching, or a rash. This is more likely if the individual has sensitive skin.
      • Eye Irritation: As with many ingredients in shampoo and other personal care products, PEG-150 Distearate could cause eye irritation if the product gets into the eyes.
      • Potential Contamination: There's a low risk of PEG-150 Distearate being contaminated with potentially harmful substances during manufacturing, such as 1,4-dioxane or ethylene oxide, both of which have been associated with health risks. However, most manufacturers have rigorous processes in place to ensure that such contaminants, if present, are at safe levels.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 3

There is no known health risk to the mother.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 4

  • Peg 175 Diisostearate
    • PEG-175 Diisostearate is a type of polyethylene glycol (PEG) ester of isostearic acid, and it's commonly used as an emulsifier or surfactant in personal care products, including baby lotions. While PEG-175 Diisostearate is generally considered safe for use in personal care products, there are potential side effects.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Skin Irritation: Some people may experience skin irritation when using products containing PEG-175 Diisostearate. This could present as redness, itching, or a rash. Babies have sensitive skin, so they may be more susceptible to such irritation.
      • Allergic Reactions: While not common, some people may have an allergic reaction to PEG-175 Diisostearate, which could result in symptoms such as hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing.
      • EWG Skin Grade: 3

  • Sodium Hydroxide
    • Sodium hydroxide, also known as caustic soda or lye, is a strong alkaline compound that is sometimes used in the manufacturing process of personal care products, including baby lotions. It is used to adjust the pH of the formulation to ensure stability and efficacy. However, it is important to note that sodium hydroxide itself is not typically listed as an active ingredient in baby lotions, but rather used in very small amounts for pH adjustment purposes.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Skin Irritation: Sodium hydroxide, if present in higher concentrations, can cause skin irritation in some individuals. This may manifest as redness, itching, burning sensation, or rash. It is important to discontinue use if your baby experiences any of these symptoms and consult a healthcare professional.
      • Eye Irritation: Direct contact of baby lotion containing sodium hydroxide with the eyes can cause mild to moderate eye irritation. It is crucial to avoid contact with the eyes and rinse thoroughly with water if accidental exposure occurs.
      • Chemical Burns: Sodium hydroxide is a caustic substance and can cause chemical burns if used undiluted or in high concentrations. However, in properly formulated baby lotions, the concentration of sodium hydroxide is typically low and safe for use.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 4

  • D&C Orange No. 4
    • D&C Orange No. 4 is a synthetic color additive that is often used in personal care products to give them a certain color. The "D&C" indicates that it is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in drugs and cosmetics, but not in food. While D&C Orange No. 4 is generally considered safe for use in cosmetic products, there are potential side effects.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Skin Irritation: Like many ingredients in personal care products, D&C Orange No. 4 could potentially cause skin irritation in some individuals. This might manifest as redness, itching, or a rash. Babies have sensitive skin and may be more susceptible to such reactions.
      • Allergic Reactions: Though less common, some individuals may experience an allergic reaction to D&C Orange No. 4, which could result in symptoms like hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing.
      • Sensitivity to Sunlight: Some artificial colorants can make skin more sensitive to sunlight, which could increase the risk of sunburn.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 5

  • D&C Yellow No. 10
    • D&C Yellow No. 10 is a synthetic color additive that's used in certain drugs, cosmetics, and other personal care products. It's used to give products a specific color. The "D&C" denotes that the color additive is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in drugs and cosmetics, but not in food.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Skin Irritation: Some people may experience skin irritation when using products containing D&C Yellow No. 10. This could present as redness, itching, or a rash. Babies have sensitive skin, so they may be more susceptible to such irritation.
      • Allergic Reactions: Though not common, some people may have an allergic reaction to D&C Yellow No. 10, which could result in symptoms such as hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing.
      • Sensitivity to Sunlight: Some synthetic colorants may make skin more sensitive to sunlight, which could increase the risk of sunburn.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 7

  • Fragrance
    • "Fragrance" in the ingredient list of baby lotions (and other personal care products) is often a catch-all term for a mix of various scent-producing chemicals. Fragrances can make products smell pleasant, but they can also cause some potential side effects, especially in people with sensitive skin or allergies. In babies, who generally have more sensitive skin than adults, these side effects might include.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Allergic Reactions: Although it's not common, some babies might have an allergic reaction to certain fragrances, which could lead to symptoms such as hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing. These reactions might not occur the first time the baby is exposed to the fragrance, but could develop after repeated use.
      • Sensitization: Regular exposure to certain fragrances can lead to the development of a sensitivity over time, where the body starts reacting to a substance that it was previously okay with. This can lead to allergic contact dermatitis, a type of eczema.
      • Respiratory Issues: Inhaling some fragrances can trigger respiratory symptoms, particularly in babies with asthma or other pre-existing respiratory conditions.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 8

The grading system used by EWG in the Skin Deep database is as follows:
1 to 2: Low hazard
3 to 6: Moderate hazard
7 to 10: High hazard

When Life Gives You Mango Purée
I started my day with the idea of juicing some mangos, but unfortunately, my Omega cold press juicer refused to cooperate and turned them into a puree instead. This left me with over a liter of puree and no clue what to do with it.
That's when inspiration struck, and I came up with this unnamed cocktail recipe:
  • 1.5oz/45ml Plantation 5
  • 0.5oz/15ml Rhum JM Blanc
  • 0.75oz/22.5ml lime acid-adjusted pineapple juice
  • 0.5oz/15ml Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut
  • 0.5oz/15ml mango puree
  • 1 dash of Peychaud's bitters
  • 3 drops of 20% saline solution
Simply shake all the ingredients together for 8-10 seconds, then double strain the mixture into a double old fashioned glass filled with pebble ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint, a dehydrated pineapple wedge, and three sprays of absinthe.
Tasting notes:
  • The combination of rum agricola, Peychaud's bitters, and pineapple creates a delightful balance. It's refreshing without being overpowering.
  • The mango puree and coconut cream contribute to a smooth and creamy texture.
  • You'll taste the distinct flavors of mango, pineapple, and coconut, each complementing the other without getting lost.
Be careful, as this cocktail is incredibly easy to drink. Looking for a catchy name for this creation!

For our fellow homemakers planning a Star Wars-themed party, or anyone looking to surprise their loved ones with a unique treat, this article offers a fun-filled and delicious way to create your own Star Wars-themed chocolates.

Whether you're a Padawan or a Jedi Master in the kitchen, these Star Wars silicone molds make chocolate making a cinch. Picture Darth Vader, Stormtrooper-shaped chocolates, or Han Solo frozen in carbonite... but in the cocoa form!

https://preview.redd.it/ayb24fyjey2b1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=8e3ee3948fc054c4943b621548c44feca4e75bdf

Star Wars-Themed Chocolate Making 101

Firstly, let's gather the necessary ingredients and tools.

Ingredients
  • Chocolate (dark, milk, or white, depending on your preference)
  • Optional: Sprinkles, edible glitter, or colored sugar for decoration

Tools
  • Star Wars Chocolate Molds (cum Silicone Ice Trays): These are the key to our Star Wars theme. The set we recommend comes with eight molds featuring iconic characters and vehicles like Darth Vader, R2-D2, and the Millennium Falcon.
  • A double boiler for melting the chocolate
  • A spoon or a piping bag for filling the molds

The Procedure
  1. Melting the Chocolate: Start by breaking your chocolate into smaller pieces and placing it on top of a double boiler. Heat the water in the bottom pot to a simmer. Stir the chocolate constantly until it is completely smooth.
  2. Filling the Molds: Once your chocolate is ready, carefully spoon or pipe it into the Star Wars silicone molds. Ensure the chocolate gets into all the corners to capture every detail of the mold.
  3. Adding Extras: If you want to make your chocolates even more special, consider adding sprinkles, edible glitter, or colored sugar on top before the chocolate sets.
  4. Setting the Chocolate: Once filled, gently tap the molds on your countertop to remove any air bubbles. Then, place them in the refrigerator to set. This usually takes about 2-3 hours.
  5. Unmolding: Once the chocolates are completely set, gently push on the bottom of the molds and pop out your creations. The flexibility of the silicone molds makes this process easy and helps keep all the intricate details intact.

An Example: The Millennium Falcon Chocolate

With the Star Wars Silicone Ice Tray featuring the Millennium Falcon, you can bring this iconic spaceship to life in delicious chocolate form. Follow the steps above, making sure to press the chocolate into all the nooks and crannies of the mold. You'll be left with a tasty and detailed rendition of the fastest ship in the galaxy.

2023.05.30 08:31 dotanewb123 AITA for wanting to divorce my husband?

For some context: I married this guy in town named Alex. At first things were pretty good. He lived at his grandparents, but I understand he had a rough childhood. He owned a cute little ice cream shop down the road. He was always close with another town goer named Haley, but that was fine too. He assured me they were just friends.
So anyway, we get married and things start to go downhill. He stops going to his job, thus his shop is just sitting there empty. He doesn’t help much around my farm. And he’s still with that girl Haley pretty often.
I shrugged most of that off nonetheless. We just just had our second child, Jill. She’s just a baby. Our son, Jack, is running around already and overall a very happy kid. I do most of the homemaking myself, including all the farm work, as well as taking care of the finances.
So here I am wondering, do you guys think my kids will be okay with a single mom raising them? I know I can do it. I just don’t want anything to happen to them during the divorce process.

2023.05.30 08:28 LifeIssCool How to tame Parker Semi Slant ?

How to tame Parker Semi Slant ?
Preparation: Face wash with Biotique neem + bloom water from the shaving soap
Blade: Gillette Wilkinson (1)
Razor: Parker Semi Slant
Soap/Cream/Gel/Foam: Hajamat soap
Brush: Hajamat synthetic wooden
Aftershave: Alum + Gillette Ice Cool a/s + Extinguish The Fire a/s balm
1st pass : WTG
2nd pass : XTG
2nd pass : XTG
Coming straight to the topic.
I have been using this razor for last 2-3 days on daily basis. While I thought it is supposed to be efficient, i didn't find it so reason being i couldn't get most of the stubbles cleared in 1 or 2 passes, while the working angle seems to be parallel to the face. I was expecting it will be better than K2 which is current my best efficient raozr.
While there is no irritation during the shave, in fact it is quite smooth on neck/chin area, but surprisingly i get more irritation post shave while applying alum.
I tried with 3 blades i.e Silvermax, Diamand Edge and Wilkinson and result almost same.
May be I am doing something wrong. Even after 3 passes when i check thru hand, i feel there is still some stubble left at places. Could it be due to the slicing act of the razor ? Is there any different technique associated with slant razors which i am missing.
However, overall this razor has solid tank like build. Not sure if this is specific to slant razors, i was feeling i had yo tighen the handle for a long time. Not sure if i can stop it bit early whenever I am convinced that the blade is torqued and settled properly.
Happy shaving.

2023.05.30 07:26 Civil-Chipmunk9240 Your Complete Guide to Finding the Right Chiropractor

Welcome to the world of chiropractic care! If you're here, you're likely looking for ways to improve your health and wellness naturally. You've heard about the wonders of chiropractic care, but with so many practitioners out there, how do you know who to choose?
Finding the right chiropractor in Sunshine Coast isn't a one-size-fits-all process. Everyone's body is unique, and just like our online shopping carts or favorite ice cream flavors—what works for one person may not work for another.
But don't worry; there are plenty of important things to consider when deciding on a chiropractor. In this article, I'll be covering everything you need to know about finding the right chiropractor for your specific needs. From examining techniques and practice ethos, to concerns like insurance coverage and accessibility—I'm here to ensure that your search is as stress-free as possible. Let's get started!

What Is Chiropractic Care and How Does It Work?

If you're considering chiropractic care as a way of treating your health issues, it's important to understand what it is and how it works. Chiropractic care is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on the connection between the structure of your body (particularly your spine) and the functioning of your nervous system.
Chiropractors use manual adjustments to realign spinal joints and restore normal nervous system functioning throughout the body. By making sure the spine is in alignment, chiropractors are able to reduce pain, improve posture, optimize athletic performance, and promote overall wellbeing.
The main goal of chiropractic care is to promote health and wellness in a natural way—without drugs or surgery. By restoring equilibrium within the body, chiropractors are able to help patients achieve long-term relief from their aches and pains. In addition, regular treatments can also help prevent future issues from arising.

Types of Chiropractors: General Practice vs Specialists

When it comes to chiropractic care, there are two primary types of chiropractors: general practice and specialists. General practice chiropractors provide basic chiropractic care for a wide range of conditions, from back pain to neck pain to headaches and more. They may also offer complementary services such as massage or nutrition counseling.
Specialists, on the other hand, take a more advanced approach. They can be found in highly specialized fields such as sports medicine, nutrition, pain management and pediatrics. Specialists are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of specific ailments or conditions, often through manipulation of the spine or other muscles and joints.
To find the right chiropractor for your needs, it’s important to determine if you need a general practice or specialist first. If you have a specific condition that requires more advanced treatment such as nutrition counseling or sports medicine manipulations, then a specialist is likely your best bet. If you're just looking for basic relief from everyday pain and discomfort though, then a general practice chiropractor should be able to meet your needs.

Questions to Ask When Choosing a Chiropractor

When you've narrowed down your search to two to three chiropractors, make sure you ask the right questions before making your decision. It's important that you feel comfortable with the chiropractor and that they understand your needs and goals. Here are some key questions to consider:

  1. What is their experience and education in chiropractic care?
  2. Do they have a specialty or focus area?
  3. What techniques do they use for analysis and treatment?
  4. What office policies do they have regarding patient health records, patient confidentiality, insurance reimbursement and billing?
  5. How does their services compare to other chiropractors in terms of cost?
  6. What type of follow-up care is offered?
  7. Are there any online resources available for patients to access additional information?
Take your time researching each chiropractor, and make sure their style makes sense for you before making your final decision. Being comfortable with the chiropractor is key – trusting someone enough to put your well-being in their hands is essential when it comes to finding the right provider for you.

What Techniques and Treatments Do Chiropractors Use?

Do you know what type of techniques and treatments chiropractors use? Most chiropractors are trained in a variety of techniques, including manual adjustments, mobilizations, and instrument-assisted adjusting.

Manual adjustments:

The most common method is manual manipulation, also known as an "adjustment," where the chiropractor moves your spine with their hands to restore movement or reduce pain. This type of adjustment is thought to be safe since chiropractors use their hands rather than tools to manipulate your joints.

Mobilizations:

Mobilizations involve using slow and gentle movements to allow the joints and muscles in your body to relax. Chiropractors may use this technique to help improve joint range of motion or reduce pain in an area.

Instrument-assisted adjusting:

This type of adjustment involves using a tool - often a "force multiplier" - to increase the effectiveness and accuracy of the adjustment. The tool can also be used to help reduce joint stiffness or discomfort after an adjustment. While instrument-assisted adjustments are relatively new, they are quickly becoming popular due to their ability to deliver consistent and reliable results.

Conclusion

When it comes to finding the right chiropractor, it’s essential to do your research. Train yourself to ask the right questions, read ratings and reviews, and get a sense of the doctor’s expertise and approach. It’s also important to understand the different types of practitioners and how they specialize in different areas.
Getting regular chiropractic treatments can not only help alleviate pain but also promote overall wellbeing and better posture. Whether you’re suffering from chronic pain, or you’re looking for a drug-free holistic approach to health and wellness, finding the right chiropractor is the key to achieving your goals. Taking the time to find a practitioner you trust can make all the difference in your journey to health.

2023.05.30 07:15 Status-Cup7967 About Orthodontist Dubai White Fillings

White fillings, also known as composite fillings or tooth-colored fillings, are dental restorations used to repair teeth that have been affected by decay, cracks, or fractures. Unlike traditional silver amalgam fillings, which are metallic in appearance, white fillings are made from a mixture of resin and powdered glass or ceramic particles. This composite material can be color-matched to the natural shade of your teeth, providing a more aesthetically pleasing result.
The process of placing white fillings involves several steps:
Numbing: The dentist will administer a local anesthetic to ensure you don't experience any pain during the procedure.
Removal of decay: The dentist will use a dental drill or other instruments to remove the decayed or damaged portion of the tooth.
Tooth preparation: The tooth is then cleaned and prepared for the filling by removing any remaining debris and shaping the cavity to create space for the composite material.
Bonding agent application: A bonding agent is applied to the prepared tooth surface. This helps the composite material adhere securely to the tooth.
Layering the composite: The dentist will apply the composite material in layers, using a special light to cure or harden each layer before adding the next one. This layering technique helps achieve the desired shape and contour of the tooth.
Shaping and polishing: After the composite material has been built up to the appropriate shape, the dentist will trim and shape it to match your natural tooth anatomy. Finally, the filling is polished to give it a smooth and natural appearance.
White fillings offer several advantages over traditional amalgam fillings:
Aesthetic appeal: Since white fillings can be color-matched to your natural tooth shade, they are much less noticeable when you smile or speak, providing a more natural appearance.
Conservative tooth preparation: Compared to amalgam fillings, less healthy tooth structure needs to be removed during the preparation process, preserving more of your natural tooth.
Bonding capability: The composite material used in white fillings bonds directly to the tooth, which can help strengthen and support the remaining tooth structure.
Reduced sensitivity to temperature changes: Amalgam fillings can expand and contract in response to temperature changes, potentially causing discomfort. White fillings do not exhibit this issue.
It's worth noting that white fillings may not be suitable for all situations. In some cases, such as larger cavities or areas with significant biting forces, other dental restorations like inlays, onlays, or crowns may be recommended. It's best to consult with a dentist to determine the most appropriate treatment option for your specific dental needs.
White fillings, also known as composite fillings, can be durable when properly placed and cared for. The durability of white fillings depends on several factors, including the size and location of the filling, the material used, the technique used by the dentist, and the individual's oral hygiene habits.
When it comes to durability, composite fillings have improved significantly over the years. Modern composite materials are designed to be strong and long-lasting. However, it's important to note that composite fillings may not be as durable as certain alternatives in certain situations, such as large fillings or areas with high chewing forces.
Here are some factors that can influence the durability of white fillings:
Material Quality: High-quality composite materials tend to be more durable and resistant to wear. It's essential for dentists to use reputable brands and materials known for their longevity.
Technique and Placement: Proper technique during the placement of white fillings is crucial for their durability. The dentist should ensure a tight seal between the filling and the tooth to prevent bacterial leakage or recurrent decay. Adequate layering and curing of the composite material are also important for achieving optimal strength.
Bite Forces and Habits: Excessive grinding or clenching of teeth (bruxism), chewing on hard objects like ice or pens, or habits like nail-biting can put additional stress on white fillings and potentially lead to their premature wear or failure. In such cases, the dentist may recommend protective measures, such as a nightguard, to reduce the impact of these habits on the fillings.
Oral Hygiene: Maintaining good oral hygiene habits, including regular brushing, flossing, and routine dental visits, is essential for the longevity of any dental restoration, including white fillings. Proper oral hygiene helps prevent tooth decay and gum disease, which can compromise the longevity of the fillings.
It's important to note that even with proper care, white fillings may need replacement over time. They can wear down or become discolored over the years. Routine dental check-ups will allow your dentist to monitor the condition of your fillings and recommend any necessary maintenance or replacement.
Ultimately, the durability of white fillings depends on a combination of factors, and it's best to discuss your specific situation with a dentist who can provide personalized advice based on your dental needs.

2023.05.30 07:07 Cannot_relate_2000 I need to cut myself some slack

I survived delta completely unvaxxed at 20 years old. No hospital no doctor. No medicine. Just vitamins and soups and fast food and staying in hotel rooms. Have ASD and C-PTSD as a pre existing conditions. Was in abusive relationship. I should be dead. 10x over i shouldn’t be here. I was sick for 3 weeks. I replay the events of my old life and think about how grateful I am to be here, to survive , of how stupid I was to play Russian roulette with this disease as a young person.
It’s been 2 and a half years of this almost. And lately I’ve noticed I finally am starting to recover, I’ve noticed in the past month things are finally starting to feel normal again.
i just need to sit back and play a few Pokémon games and pass the time. I’m sleeping through the night and eating solid food again, my POTS/CFS is becoming manageable, im having less brain fog, less PEM, less symptoms. I have energy again sometimes and recover from PEM crashes within a few hours these days.
I am strong. I will not be a name on a grave or a number on a death toll. I will beat this and get in the best shape of my life! I’m lucky to have no organ damage at all. No autoimmune disease. No permanent damage. To my body. I dodged a huge bullet.
For sure I am going to beat this thing! And I’m going to have a party with pizza and steak and an ice cream cake! i just need time.
I cannot wait to see how I am in a month or two, I’m recovering rapidly since the valtrex and upping my vitamins. Last month I was still not living, today I feel normal and could enjoy a car ride! I can almost drive.
For all of you struggling just know recovery is possible, you just need to find the underlying cause of it all. Never stop pushing for your health. Screw the doctors, don’t let them gaslight you. Fight for testing, for labs. Check for HHV 1-8, all 8 kinds of HHV, or Lyme disease, or vitamin deficiencies.
Start there. B vitamins are super important, my seizure type stuff and neuropathy stopped once I upped my b-12 and b6. Eat a ton of antioxidants like celery, spinach, potatoes, wild blueberries.
Check government websites like .gov medical study summaries and research online, clinical trial papers from different countries, and see what they test on animals and people with herbs and medicine. Animals are structurally very similar to us, something is bound to work eventually for you.
Much love to you all, you are in my prayers, I pray for recovery for you all whenever I have the thought in my mind. I hope this is okay. We will get through this. I am now normal except for mild POTS/CFS. I can’t wait to go back to school. I think I may take a trip to Japan when I’m better. I wish to use my legs and explore the cherry blossom trees without PEM or histamine bothering me.
I still am battling both long covid and now pre cancer as well, but I no longer feel suicidal. Life has meaning again and for the first time in a long time, I am starting to feel happy after half a decade.
Much love to you all <3

2023.05.30 07:01 kgfan24 AITA for not changing a diaper?

My (32M) sister (34F) recently took in two foster kids, a 2yo girl and a 3yo boy. She’s single and doesn’t have many close friends, so respite comes from my parents or weekends with the kids’ grandma. She’s been having a tough time but she also wears this like a badge of honor. My sister is an admirable person who’s always done great work; however, she is not always the easiest to get along with and is quick to criticize. She expects a lot from those around her and demands they live up to those expectations, regardless of the boundaries they establish. Here’s the issue:
I was recently in town for our dad’s birthday. Knowing I wasn’t working while there, my sister asked if I would help her at the kids’ dr appts. Absolutely. After the doctor, we met my parents and other sister for pizza and then went to ice cream. These activities are fun, but as anyone with young children can tell you, especially with rambunctious kids with delayed expressive language, it’s exhausting.
As ice cream wraps up, my sister says something like “thank you so much for helping with bedtime tonight,” volunteering me to help but trying to be funny about it. I hadn’t offered but I knew it’d be helpful so sure, let’s do it. As we’re putting the kids’ pjs on, she turns to me and tells me the child I’m helping needs her diaper changed. “Ok…” I said, hesitating. “You can change her diaper,” she responded. “No, I’m not going to do that.” We went back and forth a few times, during which I told her I’d be happy to switch kids, “no you can change her diaper,” and asked me if I meant ever or just not right now, to which I said not right now. She then called me sexist and said my refusal is really wrong and sexist. I reminded her I didn’t choose this situation, to which she said “you think I chose this?” … literally yes. We argued a bit more but eventually needed to help floss and brush before bed so it was dropped.
A couple nights later, the issue resurfaces. One of the kids needed to be changed, my sister volunteered me again, and again I refused. A similar argument ensued and ends in the same way, I’m sexiest for not changing a diaper.
On the drive to the airport an hour later, my mom shared how upset I made my sister, how she doesn’t feel like her siblings accept the kids and how wrong I was not to help. I love my sister, she’s a wonderfully caring person, but take cover if y’all disagree. I get it’s not a huge deal to change a diaper, but 1) she didn’t ask but demanded I oblige making me defensive and admittedly led me to dig my heels in, and 2) I didn’t want to. I in no way insinuated I would never change diapers or that it’s not a man’s responsibility, but I simply didn’t want to and offered other ways I could help instead, which were turned down. I know she’s going through a lot but f me I just wish she wouldn’t be such a dick when it comes to assuming how others will help her before or without asking.
So Reddit, AITA?
Edit: in the initial situation, I was already helping the girl put her pjs on. My issue was not helping the girl, just not wanting to deal with her poop.

2023.05.30 06:30 farmer_giles91 12 Days Honeymoon in Tokyo & Kawaguchiko with tips and observations

I just had my honeymoon (originally scheduled for Jun 2020). My wife and I are in our early thirties. It’s my wife’s first time in japan while it’s my fourth. I’ve benefitted immensely from stalking Tokyo travel reddit and would like to return the favour. I’ll provide some of my tips and observations to the end (skip to the end if the itinerary doesn’t interest you), some of which I think haven’t been mentioned before.
Thank God pretty much everything went to plan, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We spent 12 days in Japan, most of it in Tokyo and 2 nights in Kawaguchiko. Many people were surprised to know that we’d be spending most of our trip in Tokyo, but I thought it was just fine because Tokyo had a lot to offer. My wife and I aren’t big on visiting shrines or ticking tourist hotspots off a checklist. We don’t shop much, but we did a lot of it simply because it’s Japan and we bought lots of quality-of-life items (not fashion) for ourselves and others. Given how much my wife really enjoyed the trip, I think others with similar interests could find something helpful too.
Pre-trip planning
Planning during the trip
Day 0 (Wed) 17 May - Arrival at Haneda Airport to hotel in Shinjuku. Arrived in Haneda late, about 11pm. Clearance was quick but baggage took 30mins. I had no choice but to cancel my airport limousine and take the metro to our hotel in Shinjuku. I tried Apple wallet’s Suica at first. It worked seamlessly but I felt that a physical metro card was just faster so I eventually switched over. We reached after midnight, so do let your hotel know in advance if you anticipate arriving at odd hours.
Day 1 (Thurs) - Shinjuku exploration. Originally planned to visit Tsukiji on day 1, but given that we arrived late the previous night, agreed with my wife to change the plan and spend the first day doing the Shinjuku itinerary.
Day 2 (Fri) - Kappabashi St., Fabric Town, Akihabara
Day 3 (Sat) - Cooking class in Shinjuku, Shibuya
Day 4 (Sun) - Komazawa Church, Harajuku, Shibuya
Day 5 (Mon) - Tsukiji Market, Ginza Muji/Uniqlo, Tokyo station
Day 6 (Tue) - Tokyo National Museum, Fabric town revisit, Akihabara revisit, Ochanomizu
Day 7 (Wed) - Shinjuku Gyoen Garden, Mori Museum, Ginza Wakamatsu, Shinjuku
Day 8 (Thurs) - Kawaguchiko
Day 9 (Fri) - Fuji Q Highlands, Shimoyoshida Honcho St, Batting Cage
Planning for Fuji Q & Morning Jog: I didn’t plan to go to Fuji-Q highlands before the trip. Always felt it a bit of a waste to visit amusement parks overseas. That’s until I realised that Fuji Q had some of the most exciting (I mean world-record-holding) rollercoasters in the world. Maybe they don't hold the records anymore, but that intrigued me enough, because most amusement parks only had 1-2 coasters. Problem was that wife is terrified, and she said cycling on the streets of Kawaguchiko was already like a coaster ride for her. Still, I'm really thankful she encouraged me to go and said she was happy waiting and taking pictures for me. So I decided I would reach at opening time, and buy time by paying for the fast passes and try their top three coasters. The night before, we felt that we had to make decisions on our itinerary as it was our last day at Kawaguchiko. If Mt Fuji still wasn’t visible the next day, we'd go to Oshino Hakkai, if it was, we could try going to Shimoyoshida to get a nice picture.
Day 10 (Sat) - Kichijoji, Ghibli Museum, Kichijoji Jazz bar
Woke up before sunrise for a run and to attempt to catch a sunrise picture of Mount Fuji. Streets were completely empty. Even ran to the famous Kawaguchiko Lawson for a picture. Headed back for an onsen bathe (note: we never used the room's shower, and always went for an onsen bath throughout our stay in Kawaguchiko as it was just too convenient). Took a 7am bus to return to Shinjuku.
Day 11 (Sun) - Tokyo Sky Tree, Shinjuku, Back to Kichijoji, Shibuya
It was a crazy day where we simply hit the places we wanted to revisit regardless of proximity. Headed to Tokyo Skytree in the morning to check out another Ghibli store in hopes of getting another Ghibli shirt; reason was because I ended up buying one at the museum and absolutely loved (made in Japan, beautiful colour, perfect fit. I hesitated at first because I couldn't try it). If you’re not going to the Ghibli museum, this is probably the best store available for Ghibli goods. Alas, the museum's items were really quite exclusive. Headed to Shinjuku to try curry udon, then to Kichijoji to try satou beef balls and dangos and to make some purchasing decisions on some sports equipment. Then we ended up at Shibuya (my favourite place!) to the mega Don Quijote and Tokyu Hands to shop for gifts for others. It was a lovely end to our trip!
Day 12 (Mon) - Back home
Best trip ever, says my wife.
Tips for travellers
Observations
I've decided not to mention the specific food places as far as possible because I think there's more than enough recommendations available elsewhere. I also think sometimes that we get a bit fomo if we build up too many must-go spots. Enjoy your trip and the process of discovering new places! But feel free to ask me more if you like.

DE111 is a clinically tested strain of Bacillus subtilis that supports digestive and immune health. Clinical studies show the strain can control microbial populations, aid digestion, and maintain health. Genome sequencing confirmed the strain lacked plasmids, antibiotic-resistant, or deleterious genes. DE111 protects microbes from harsh conditions until they reach the GI tract. DE111's spore-forming ability makes it ideal for supplements, food, and beverages.

BioFit advantages vs other probiotic supplements

Chrissie Miller and the company Nature's Formulas promote advantages not commonly seen with other probiotic supplements, such as the potential to lose up to 80 pounds of fat while taking BioFit without altering your diet or exercise routine. In addition to the author's confident assertion, the entire video presentation is crammed full of testimonials from actual BioFit customers praising the product's efficacy.

BioFit asserts that it can facilitate weight loss and improved digestion in a variety of ways. It turns your digestive tract into a calorie-burning machine. By taking only one capsule of BioFit daily, you can experience all of its advantages:
• Lose 80 pounds without changing diet or exercise.
• Reduce bloating, aid digestion, and more.
• Drop pounds without dieting or exercise
• Boost immunity.
• Eat whatever you want without affecting gut health.

How do the probiotics that are included in BioFit work?

BioFit contains a whopping 5.75 billion CFUs (colony forming units) of seven different strains of probiotic bacteria in each capsule. There are no additional components. BioFit's seven clinically studied probiotics are responsible for its many health benefits. One of these, the patented spore-based Bacillus subtilis DE111 strain, has been shown to support and improve digestive health in both children and adults, as well as support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, promote the development of healthy gastrointestinal flora, and lower total blood cholesterol and LDL cholesterol.

Also, that's not all of it. However, the next logical question to ask is, "What exactly are probiotics?" In what ways do probiotics accomplish their goals of promoting healthy digestion, boosting the immune system, and decreasing abdominal bloating? Helpful bacteria in the gut are called probiotics, and they provide a number of health benefits. Many probiotics work by gleaning essential nutrients from the food you eat. Some help your body deal with toxins, while others are toxins themselves. Some can separate the active from the inactive chemicals in the foods you eat. In addition, the immune system appears to interact with other probiotic strains.

Some individuals choose to improve their digestive health by taking a probiotic supplement like BioFit. Some individuals consume probiotic-filled foods such as yogurt, kefir, or fermented foods. The colony forming units (CFUs) of probiotic bacteria found in an average probiotic yogurt is approximately 1 billion, whereas the CFU count found in a typical probiotic supplement can range anywhere from 5 billion to 100 billion. The primary ingredient in BioFit is the spore-based Bacillus subtilis DE111 strain, which is protected by a natural shell so that it does not get damaged by stomach acids (in comparison, the survival rate of most probiotic strains is only about 5%). Each serving of BioFit contains a potent 5.75 billion CFUs, and the Bacillus subtilis DE111 strain is the primary active ingredient.

Science Behind BioFit

The creators of BioFit have not yet published their formula in a peer-reviewed journal, and the supplement has not undergone any formal clinical trials. No need to panic or report this to the BioFit scam squad just yet. Chrissie Miller and the rest of the team at Nature's Formulas put a lot of emphasis on the research done on the separate components of BioFit, such as the strains of probiotics used in the product.

For instance, in this particular research study, the researchers recommended that healthy adults take a probiotic supplement that contained strains of both lactobacillus and bifidobacteria (the same two strain families in BioFit). When compared to a group that received a placebo instead of the supplement for the same amount of time, researchers discovered that the supplemented group lost an additional three pounds of body weight over the course of the study. Over the course of a period of six months, the average amount of weight lost by adults was somewhere around three pounds. Some adults lost more weight than others, while others lost less weight than others.

When you compare different probiotic supplements online, you'll find that many supplements have a higher number of colony forming units (CFUs) than BioFit does. Nevertheless, CFUs do not provide the whole picture. Even though the dosages of certain supplements can reach as high as 100 billion CFUs, this does not mean that they are inherently more effective than probiotics that contain only 5 billion CFUs. According to the findings of these researchers, having a higher CFU count is not always a positive thing.

It's possible that the active ingredients in BioFit will be preserved by the medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) as they make their way through your digestive system. Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are digestible fatty molecules. BioFit's MCTs serve to shield the probiotic bacteria inside, ensuring that more of the supplement's beneficial ingredients make it to where they're needed. This research shows that medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) can prevent the digestion of active ingredients by stomach acid, allowing more probiotics to enter the small intestine.
Overall, there is evidence to support the use of probiotic supplements for enhancing immune function, reducing body fat, and other health and wellness benefits. But there isn't much proof that BioFit can help you lose 80 pounds or more without changing your diet or exercising. If you watch the video, though, you'll hear a lot of positive feedback and real-life customer success stories.

BioFit Ingredients and How They Help?

BioFit has two different groups of active ingredients: the probiotic matrix and medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which hold the formula together.

First Group Of Active Ingredients:
The first group of active ingredients that BioFit has is called the probiotic matrix, and it has seven different strains in it. The different strains contained in BioFit each contribute in their own unique way to the overall improvement of digestion and weight loss. By taking BioFit on a daily basis, you can support the health of your digestive tract, as well as your weight loss efforts, immunity, and other functions. There is a correlation between certain strains and the functioning of the immune system. Others are associated with the functioning of the digestive system or the metabolism. The seven different strains that are included in the formula of BioFit each contain 5.75 billion colony forming units (CFUs). The majority of probiotic supplements have between three and five strains, but BioFit has seven strains for maximum effectiveness.

Second Group Of Active Ingredients:
BioFit contains a second class of active ingredients known as medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). BioFit's inclusion of MCTs is meant to boost the effectiveness of the probiotics already mentioned. Even though these ingredients are listed on the BioFit label as inactive ingredients, they may in fact lend support to the active effects that the supplement produces in a variety of different ways. When compared to longer types of fatty acids, MCTs are much simpler for your body to digest. BioFit ensures that the maximum dosage of probiotic ingredients reaches your digestive tract by wrapping the probiotic strains in a layer of fatty molecules and then delivering them to your digestive system. Even though BioFit contains a lower dose of probiotics than the majority of the other supplements on the market, the MCTs could protect the probiotics, ensuring that more CFUs reach your digestive tract in the end.
The two active blends of ingredients that are found in BioFit work together to provide an advanced and very helpful dose of probiotics to your gut. This is accomplished by shielding the ingredients from the acidic environment of your stomach and ensuring that the maximum number of CFUs are delivered to your gut rather than being thrown away by your metabolism.

The BioFit probiotic diet pills are produced in an FDA-approved facility in the USA, where they are made in strict accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. In addition to this, they go above and beyond to ensure that every single BioFit weight loss formula is tested by impartial third-party labs. These tests ensure that the dosages, potency, and purity match what is stated on the nutritional label for the supplement, and that the formulas are free of fillers, preservatives, and any artificial contaminants.

Which Specific Kinds of Probiotics Bacteria Can Be Found in BioFit?

There are seven different probiotic bacterial strains packed into each serving of BioFit. In the same way that other organisms do, probiotic bacteria can be found in a variety of species and strains. While some strains have been associated with weight loss and improved immunity, others have been associated with other aspects of gut function. The amounts of each strain that are included in BioFit are variable. There is a total dose of 16.58mg 5.75 billion CFUs; however, individual strains have different dosages that are determined by the effects that are desired. Because BioFit is primarily marketed as a supplement for weight loss, the manufacturers of BioFit have placed a strong emphasis on strains that have been specifically linked to weight loss.

Biofit Probiotics Bacteria are:

• Bacillus Subtilis 8.89mg
• Bifidobacterium Longum 1.56mg
• Lactobacillus Rhamnosus 1.25mg
• Bifidobacterium Breve 0.63mg
• Lactobacillus Casei 0.83mg
• Lactobacillus Plantarium 2.5mg
• Lactobacillus Acidophilus 0.83mg

Bacillus Subtilis
BioFit employs Bacillus subtilis strain DE111. It makes sense that this probiotic strain would make up the bulk of BioFit given its demonstrated ability to aid in weight loss. In addition to promoting weight loss, probiotic strains boost digestive health. Some probiotic strains aid in weight loss by improving intestinal function, digestion, or the elimination of waste products. In addition to the benefits already mentioned, this BioFit probiotic strain is also notable for its credibility and published medical data, which place it among the most effective probiotic strains for natural fat burning and weight loss.

Bifidobacterium Longum
BioFit contains Bifidobacterium longum, which is just one of 32 different species of Bifidobacteria. B. longum's effects on humans have been the subject of extensive research. It's one of the most significant probiotic strains passed from mothers to their infants through breast milk, and it seems to play a crucial role in human development in early life.

Lactobacillus Rhamnosus
BioFit includes Lactobacillus rhamnosus, a beneficial probiotic strain. BioFit contains multiple strains of Lactobacillus. The benefits of L. rhamnosus for the digestive tract are multifaceted. Yogurt and other foods contain L. rhamnosus.

Bifidobacterium Breve
Numerous studies have found a connection between Bifidobacterium breve and good gut health, which is why it is frequently found in digestive health supplements. Researchers have found that this strain can aid in the digestion of a wide variety of molecules, which suggests that it may help digestion along more than one pathway

Lactobacillus Casei
The beneficial bacteria Lactobacillus casei thrives in the intestines, where it produces numerous offspring and exerts its effects. Research indicates that L. casei can thrive in a broader range of acidity and temperature than other probiotic strains. For instance, it has a better chance of thriving in the digestive tract and surviving stomach acid. Researchers have found that L. casei and L. acidophilus, another component of BioFit, work together synergistically.

Lactobacillus Plantarium
When compared to other lactic acid bacteria, the genome of Lactobacillus plantarum is one of the largest. It is more resistant to other strains than others because, like Lactobacillus Casei, it can withstand a wide range of acidity levels as well as temperatures. L. plantarum is one of the strains that has been researched the most in the food and supplement industries, and there is a significant body of evidence that connects L. plantarum to healthy gut function.

Lactobacillus Acidophilus
The seventh and final strain of Lactobacillus found in BioFit, Lactobacillus acidophilus, has been specifically linked to weight loss. According to a number of studies, Lactobacillus acidophilus is involved in the manufacturing of the enzyme amylase. Amylase is a digestive enzyme that helps break down carbohydrates in the gut and the digestive tract. If you don't have enough of this digestive enzyme, you may experience bloating after eating foods high in carbohydrates. According to the manufacturer, Lactobacillus acidophilus promotes weight loss and overall gut health.

There are seven different probiotic strains included in BioFit. It's not uncommon to find only one or two varieties of a supplement or food item. BioFit's comprehensive solution to gut health and microbial optimization of good versus bad bacteria means that it may support extra gastrointestinal tract and weight loss benefits competing with other supplements despite using a lower dosage of CFUs than many of them.

2023.05.30 06:30 praefectuss Okay real talk- what do I read and what do I not?

I'm reading Fleming's originally Bond series, and I am loving it. I'm not very far in, but I'm excited to continue, and I want to build up a collection of the novels, as I am a massive fan of the films. Which of the continuation novels best fit the originally canon/ are canon. I assume Colonel Sun, and I've heard Devil May Care and Solo are as well.

What about Anthony Horowitz's novels, especially after Trigger Mortis? And are the Young Bond Books even worth it? I don't wanna read any bad books that are absolutely irrelevant to the rest of 007 canon.

Any ideas?

2023.05.30 06:17 OMG365 Progression of second-degree burn and a Thank You

Hello all, it’s been around five or six months since I last post it on the sub. I found this community when I was going through a traumatic experience with my burn. I was actually hesitant at first to post here because I didn't know if my burn injury rose the level of what I think (and what media always shows) of a burn survivor. That term has much gravity to it in my opinion but I'm glad i posted here because this community was nothing but kind and open. I had a second-degree superficial partial thickness burn if I remember correctly. I also burned parts of my stomach but those weren't as severe. The super nice and supportive EMS (I was screaming and having a panic attack during all this) brought me to a level one trauma center at the time which was the burn center and from there I took a flight the next day to go back home. I was fortunate enough to have my mom to kind of nurse me back to health. Had to drive her to a colonoscopy with my burn which was the whole point of the flight so i guess it worked out. Had to sleep upright on the couch for a bit over a month. It was during this time that I couldn’t really find a lot of resources or people to talk to about the level of pain or worries I was going through and my concerns about infection. I wasn’t sure if I could get into see a doctor that specializes in Wound care and didn’t want to go back to the emergency room and get all of those costs. (Fortunately, I found a doctor eventually that was covered by my insurance…America😮‍💨). But it was this community that really kept me sane and reminded me I wasn’t going through it alone. Even though I had my family around, none of them had ever experienced anything like this and I would post another subreddits like ask nurses or ask doctors, and nobody would respond to my posts and maybe even down vote them if I remember :( . But it was this community that was here for me, and I’ll never forget that.
I just want to say thank you to everyone here and thank you to the people that responded to me. For your kind words, your own stories and pictures, and for showing empathy and compassion, especially when it was needed the most.
I wanted to post a collage of photos on the progression of my burn from the day it happened to around 2 1/2 months out. It happened in September and the last photo in the slide is from November around Thanksgiving. I took tons of photos throughout the time I was healing but I feel like I added more than enough. I didn’t get pics of all of the scrubbing process when they removed dead skin in the burn center, but it hurt and sped up the healing process, that’s all you really need to know haha. In in the subsequent photos, you see just how much of my skin was burned off that they ended up removing. Skin healing is some amazing stuff though. At one point I felt like a snake shedding skin! In later photos, I look part cheetah! Also, if it looks itchy, it most likely was. The worst part about this whole process beyond the pain was the ITCH cause your skin is healing back and then also since it's new skin it's so delicate and easily irritated. There's one photo in there that shows me taking the bandage off and it's super red and inflamed. It was like I had fire ants crawling underneath my bandages. Don't mean to be so graphic but it was that itchy, so I had to just put an ice pack directly on it. I'm kind of getting itchy now writing this out. Also, I’m a bit on the chubby side, so Yeah you’ll see some love handles and rolls but I’m working on it 😊)
To anyone that may come across this. I hope these photos show you that you will get better. It’s gonna look and feel worse before it gets better (as the photos kind of show) and that first shower where you have to clean the wound with soap/water (at least as I was advised) is going to be some significant pain and you’re going to ooze, which is something they don’t warn you about but…. You will survive and hopefully you can find the right words and people to keep you going like I did hear. Again, thank you all.
~A bit of a trigger warning~
Feel free to ask me any questions and I will try my best to answer!
