2023.06.09 03:48 adenbery Personal experience with carts, how it was more than I bargained for.
Back in high school, my friends would typically be the ones who acquired carts. From the times I was present, none were purchased from a dispensary. Whenever I used to smoke said cartridges, it was common my vision would experience a green overlay, as well as only being able to focus on a narrow path in my vision (peripheral vision would go, and typically be replaced with a kaleidoscope kind of affect.) Other effects I would feel, would be the intense feeling of my eyelids closing, and pulling apart when I’d blink, almost feeling like a stick and pull. In more rare cases, I’d unashamedly have to throw up, and either pass out for the rest of the night, or come back feeling better. Speech would feel slurred, but those around me said I was talking normally. Lastly, limbs like my hands and legs would get a tingly, if not numb feeling to them. From those who i’ve asked about the affects I would have, it seemed nobody else would experience a high like that. On the rare occasion I smoke now, my highs are nowhere near what they used to be. Leading me to the question, was PCP laced in my carts? Or something else? Or was I walking the line of greening out, and successfully stepping off, but on rare occasions falling into that?

2023.06.09 03:48 chawks24 Property lines… maybe…
This past October my wife and I purchased our first home. A ranch style house on five acres. As each step progressed through obtaining the house, we drove by it once or twice, just to dream. We noticed what seemed to be a marker on a tree and we just kind of roughly assumed this was the property line. Once we officially purchased the home and moved in, our neighbors came over to introduce themselves and they were quick to inform us they “remarked” the property stake and a birch tree with red paint. After a few days passed my wife I and I decided to walk past and see the stake and tree. We noticed the stake itself is about 50-70 feet closer than we initially thought. We honestly weren’t sure if this was right, although, there was the official stake next to the make shift stake that our neighbors added. It never sat right with me why he needed to define the line so quickly, boldly and even spray painted a tree that is technically on our property. His border even states that. These past few days I have thought about it again. I downloaded HomeSnap and walked to the property line. That line per HomeSnap is the stump with the original sign; where we originally thought the property line was. (Mind you, this sign was also taken down by our neighbor.)
I know it is of note that you cannot take HomeSnap as gospel. It just seems to settle even less as well with me now. I stopped along markers visible on the gps on our property and my gps marker tracked with me nearly perfectly. I know that is correct.
What should I do in this situation. I have no problem speaking to someone, although I do wish to stay in good graces with our neighbors as we plan to be here for forever. Is there another way I could vet this? It is also of note that the “makeshift marker” was extremely easy to pull out of the ground as well as the “official stake”. That seemed fishy to me to as our house was built in ‘76 and the property lines have not changed since. So the fact that I could find the stake easily and it was not covered up makes me think.
Am I being ridiculous? I really do not want to pay for a survey, but will if I have to.
Any advice?

2023.06.09 03:47 HararHyaena Organic Fertilizing Routine
Hi all! I've been reading around in this subreddit for all kinds of tomato-growing advice and it's been really helpful! My tomatoes are currently doing okay about 3 weeks from being transplanted. I've fertilized them once with 5-1-1 fish emulsion and that seemed to help them. So far so good.
I was wondering if anyone had a good organic fertilizing routine I could follow. I have the 5-1-1 fish emulsion that I plan to apply about once every 3 weeks, but I'm wondering if they would need anything more than just that and when. Right now, I'm trying to get them to grow larger as plants as they're only about 2 feet tall, so the nitrogen is helping. Some of them have flowers and small green fruits, but I'm not really focused on fruit production right now.
For context, they're a mix of heirloom and crossbreed indeterminants, 8 cherries and 8 medium to large size ones. They're a range of growing periods too. They're planted in two brand new bottomless raised beds, 4'x8' with 8 plants each in an amended loamy soil.
I'll have nearly 100% control over their watering schedule. I live in zone 8b in western Washington and we just entered our almost rain-less summer, so the only water they'll get until like September comes from me. No threat of a rain washing out any fertilizer applications. So far I've been watering them about once a week, checking using a moisture probe.

2023.06.09 03:45 JD4202 Advice for traveling with CPAP?
I will be having to travel for work in the coming weeks for long periods of time, and it occurred to me that I may not always have a chance to get distilled water where I stay since I generally only ever find it in grocery stores or pharmacies. That said, are there any tips I may be missing to more easily have access to distilled water for the humidifier on my machine? I know I can use tap or bottled water but I’ve always used distilled and it’s allowed me to keep my tank in great shape. Would appreciate any advice you all may have.

2023.06.09 03:45 WhatDaHell- Made an Amazon list instead after scam
I previously requested help on here but I think it might’ve been from a different account. I ended up getting scammed after asking for help with parking ticket expenses after BIL took car and parked in a no-park zone. Truth is that we’re broke even after. To avoid getting scammed again i made an Amazon list of some essentials and things that would help me and my partner out. I am disabled and unable to work. In the heat (California baby!!!) it makes it nearly impossible to leave the house. My partner got laid off after reporting a manager for harassment. We’d sue because we’re pretty sure it was illegal - but lawyers are more money than it’s worth. The items in the list are mostly self explanatory. Of course a 2k$ wheelchair is pretty generous lol I’m not expecting it but I have it for myself so I might purchase later. We need a hairbrush, some basic hygiene items, etc. I may add some things and don’t want to seem greedy, even the cheapest item would be a blessing for us right now. We can’t even afford soap that works for us. Again, I am disabled and allergic to so many things that I try to buy hypoallergenic options to avoid a reaction. (Plus I just love all natural options anyway, but sometimes we gotta sacrifice that for our budget lol). Either way, any kind of help would be wonderful for us. Thank you, strangers. But not you, scammers.

2023.06.09 03:43 Objective-Boss7009 Dmt trip
So after riding to Vegas sipping ghb( actually the other one that’s little diff potency) and shooting adderall which was a daily thing I got to casino and pulled out vape at the poker machine and I am bout trying to have like a hard-core trip. I was listening to Lloyd Banks in my headphones, and blasted off to I wanna say like a donut shaped room. I can’t think of the name of that structure, but it was yellow and black stripes all the way around me and pumping the base like boom, boom, boom, but so intense and it kind of crazy clown. I don’t know if I could see it, but it kept going. Is this hard enough is this hard enough and it was so intense and the lyrics were like I can’t remember exactly what they were but other dimensions is all I can I can say like it was so intense and so immersive and overwhelming was just awesome and then later on I took a hit out in the jeep and held onto my jaw like the rest of me went into another world, but it like I was pulling like it sucked into a black hole kind of everything but my jaw stayed in the same place so it was like not quite blasting off all the way

2023.06.09 03:42 b-morph Should I be concerned about atypical chest pain?
31 yr old Caucasian male. 5’8”. Approximately 160 pounds.
I’ve struggled with sleeping issues most of my adult life. I average around 6 hrs or so. It’s very rare that I ever get over 7 hrs and it isn’t uncommon at all for me to get less than 5 or 4, and there are times where I am unable to sleep at all.
Anyways I’ve been experiencing off and on chest pain for the past 6 months or so. I never had this issue before. I went to the ER this past December. EKG, all blood work, and chest X-rays came back normal and they pretty much told me this was atypical chest pain. This past April, I had a nuclear stress test which came back normal.
I don’t ALWAYS have chest pain and it’s never debilitating, but the pain does move around. Sometimes it might go to my left arm, back, neck, shoulders, or midsection. It never stays for too long. Sometimes my chest feels heavy and full. The sensations definitely move around. The pain is never so much that it forces me to stop whatever it is that I am doing.
It is worth noting that I was diagnosed by a therapist with having generalized anxiety disorder. I was on seroquel 25 mg and buspirone 7.5 mg, but I took myself off of those and discussed it with the psychiatrist. I will still take the seroquel on occasion for purposes of sleeping, but I try not to rely on it. I do not think the medication caused my chest pain because the chest pain started before I was on the meds.
I exercise regularly and follow a balanced diet mostly consisting of nuts, fruits, and whole grain bread, oatmeal, oat or soy milk, yogurt, cheese, and eggs. I try to prepare meals at home as much as possible and I use a lot of olive oil in my cooking.
I have a blood pressure monitor at home and I occasionally have high readings.
Is atypical chest pain something I should be concerned with? Like today I’ve had some chest pain, but it’s not nearly as bad as it has been before.

2023.06.09 03:42 Awkward_Sandwich7858 Use of Offering and Receiving Favors
So I had a conversation with my spouse about how offering is distributed throughout the church. I am a convert so I am genuinely curious about where our offering goes. As I see our locales modernizing with more use of technology, with big ass TVs mounted and huge projectors showing the hymns, I couldn't help but question if all that is necessary... and if my offering went towards all that.
As my spouse's dad is a head deacon, he is able to oversee where our money actually goes (for our locale at least). He has been a head deacon since the 70s. This is what my spouse shared:
- Mid-week and Weekend worship service offering stays in the locale. No amount ever goes to central
- How the money is spent depends on what the resident minister decides
- So if your bathroom is trashed up with little to no paper towel, blame your minister because he gets to decide if the offering is spent on locale needs
- Thanksgiving offering stays within the locale
- Some locales that are newly built/renovated, yet do not seem to have its basic needs is because the brethren of that locale are not offering enough... this is when the locale leadership is nearly demanded by the minister to offer more (ugh!)
- "Special offering" goes to the church administration
- District events are funded from district offering only... OR an act of generosity. Brethren front the money to rent venues, and just wait till the church pays them back (if they choose to). Often times, these brethren give up on waiting for their reimbursement
- Lingap goes to the lingap pot for humanitary efforts
- Ministers would nudge aka GUILT TRIP locale leadership into spending their own money to purchase giant screens or other things the minister "feels" the locale needs
- Being that most of brethren are OWE, they gladly spent their $2,000 on an 86" screen or $2,000 projector out of their pocket
- Some resident ministers will play the "Let the church pay you back brothesister. Please give us the receipt so we can reimburse you." the messed up part is 9 times out of 10, the brethren who "donated" their money will refuse reimbursement out of shame or intense devotion to their faith
I questioned the helicopters and mansions of the sangunian and EVM. My spouse said it is not from church offering at all. Instead,
it is from accepting favors from members AND non-members. We all know that there are extremely poor brethren, and then... extremely rich brethren. There is a big chance these material things are bought (cars, choppers) or built (homes) as a result of a favor or trade. In the words of my spouse, "they're either accepting with open hands or USING their hands to--" (I'll let you finish that sentence). So in exchange for these very expensive things, are things like elevated social status, political backing, profit for their business, etc.
I asked my spouse multiple times: "Are you sure your dad is not BSing this? He's not defending the church or anything?" Spouse gives me a straight up "No." I believe my SO. My father in-law would not be ashamed to call out the BS going on in the locale. This often puts him in hot water and no one likes him.
I have a better picture of where our offering goes since this conversation. However, I still think it's so messed up how high ranking people in the church would even accept such expensive things. I'm sure Jesus walked around as much as he could or lived in humble places,
despite his relationship with God. Also, brethren are being guilt tripped into donating their money, time, and efforts "for the glory of God".
I just wished the church was more transparent with all this. There must be a reason why it's not.

2023.06.09 03:42 junctionalMustard Junctional rhythm
Hello. I'm a congential heart patient, transposition, mustard procedure 41yrs old (f) with a history of sick sinus syndrome (2 lead DDR pacemaker) atrial flutter. On January 11th of this year I had an ablation to ablate the af and was successful. 2 weeks later I developed what my doctors initially thought was PVCS. I was symptomatic with SOB, pounding headaches amd could feel them constantly my burden was/is 15% daily.
We tried sotalol, diaztem, fleccinde, hyoscyamine, to stop me from feeling every single heartbeat.
Didn't work.
My ep reluctantly decided on another ablation on may 11th. When i went to the cath lab for my unsedated ablation they told me i may be feeling PVCS but what i am feeling 100% constantly is junctional rhythm.
Unfortunately they can not ablate this rhythm. They tried overriding the rhythm with my pacemaker which is normally what they do but my leads are too close to my phrenic nerve and when my pacer fires I can feel every time it paces in my stomach. Which I decided was worse than the junctional rhythm because sometimes the junctional rhythm is softer and I can hardly feel it.
So the option is to continue to try medication to speed the heart up or remove my leads, fix my baffle (it's nearly closed) put new leads in hope they aren't close to the phrenic nerve again and of they are then ablate the AV node etc.
My question for you guys is does junctional rhythm ever go away on its own or is this something I am stuck with. Has anyone had a case simular to mine and found a medication that worked?
Thank you.

2023.06.09 03:41 ifnur Love for Old Men in my Community
Truly, I have such an admiration for old men in my professional, social, and spiritual communities. Talking white hairs, here. I (26F) have had the pleasure of befriending old dudes either nearing or in retirement who occupy the same space in my little world. I'm so grateful for the stray pieces of wisdom, knowledge of old engines and weather and goats and cheese manufacturing; Chicago in the 80's; Old Bay; getting Valentine's day right.
Certainly, there are duds. Geezers with very outdated ideas, not willing to talk etc. This is par for the course.
But, I want to invite you to open your heart to this group. You never know who you will meet, and who might meet you half way to share a connection even over the mundane. It saddens me to hear that old guys, ESPECIALLY widowers, often find themselves in a pool of loneliness. For lonely older folks, small talk may not be small at all.
Obligatory statement about not knowing if this is an ok post for offmychest. Also worth noting that I'm a gay lady so literally none of these ideas have ulterior motives. Just a true appreciation of niche expertise, outdated hobbies, "this one time"s, and unyielding ability to look forward and back simultaneously.
A cheers today to my bar buddy who finally got rejoin his wife. I know she missed you.

- USA only, I prefer someone near me -
Hey there, How's life treating y'all?
My usual ways to enjoy life are watching shows and movies, cooking food together with friends or just by myself, being out in nature exploring the beauty of the beaches.
My dream would be to drive around the world with someone I connect with, seeing all the locations that is worth visiting, eating food at all the nice restaurants all over the world. Just exploring the beautiful cultures, sceneries and places around the world.
Im looking for good, meaningful conversations. Between the ages of 25-30's up. To me, nothing's more beautiful than getting to know a person's passions, what moves them in their day-to-day lives and gives them that sparkle in their eye - so I love just asking and talking about others' interests, maybe knowing some of their likes or hobbies for myself along the way. If you want to share your favorite film, movie, or anything else shamelessly, hit me up! Please tell me about yourself when you dm me. Thank you!!
Overall I'm looking for people who I can form a genuine connection with, whether that be a good friendship, something more serious or anything else.

2023.06.09 03:40 pw-osama How to search in Korean for cardiologists near me?
Hello all,
Usually, it's as simple as typing "dentist near me" or "dermatologist near me" into Google (allowing access to my location). However, I tried searching for "cardiologist near me" or "cardiologist near such and such area," but found nothing.
Recently, I (male, 36) have consistently high blood pressure that does not seem to go down, even immediately after waking up. I also feel discomfort in the chest area most of the time. So, I guess what I need is a cardiologist. Do they have individual clinics here in Korea? Or should I go to a "general" clinic first? Or to a hospital?
How to search in Naver for "cardiologists near me"? I tried Google translate but still failed to find any meaningful results.
I live in Pyeongtaek, near Anjung-eup.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

2023.06.09 03:40 lucylew07 Brother locks sister out of her house and yard.
We have a neighbor lady that is around 75. She has dementia that has advanced quite a bit in the last couple years. This week I’ve noticed she’s circling our house.. in one gate out the other just everywhere. She has no children just a rude ex con of a brother who has oddly came out and said he has power of attorney and was gonna be our neighbor long after his sister is gone. So I’m thinking great deal, she’s got someone to look after her. Then last week my mom goes out the back door to tend to her garden. When she returns to the house she hears a commotion towards the bedrooms and worries who could possible be here as she was the only one home. She finds her neighbor lady coming from bathroom. She had been in the bedroom with 2 jackets and it’s 90 outside.we think she may have been tired and needed to lie down. No big deal. She gets her things gathered and mom walks home home no issue. Then comes Wednesday moms at work we go to grocery store to return to her going thru one gate and out another just completely confused. She tells me the house is locked and she can’t get in. I let her know I know the house is locked bc we were gone and I’d glady walk her home. I get to her gate and it won’t open. No big deal. There’s 2 more doors up front. I check the main door and it’s locked. Okay on to the beauty shop and it’s locked too. No entrance was unlocked on street side so I decide we have a big gate out back I bet I can open that and get access to the backyard and back door. Can you believe the back door was locked. I ask if there is a back door to the beauty shop and this time I’m able to find it is unlocked. We get into beauty shop and I begin to look for a bandage to cover a small skin tear on her arm and to my horror I look at the front door to the beauty shop and her brother has ran a long screw into the door to keep it from opening. I find a small plant shovel and get the screw out of the door so it can be opened. I doctor her arm and about that time her brother comes out of the main house yelling what’s going on. I get scared bc he’s near me and tell him everything’s fine I just needed to bandage her arm and was alarmed the entire property was locked up and she couldn’t access her yard. He then rudely stated “if she would have not brought the dog from town to HIS yard he would not have locked her out” I’ve never been so scared in my life. Now I’m super scared for the sister. She walks a lot to town and I’m left wondering how often he locks her out.

2023.06.09 03:40 BikerJedi The Origin of Video Games.
A yarn incoming, be warned. :) But I hope a fun one. I really hope you enjoy it, I love this story. I'm 53, which means I was around when the internet became a thing. I was online before AOL was a company. That means although 53 isn't
chronologically old, but it is
old as fuck in terms of the Internet's lifespan.
So, when I was still in middle school, my friend Danny and I played a lot of Dungeons and Dragons. There were video games then on the Amigas and such that you could (if you had a lot of money) or the Atari systems if you didn't have enough money for a computer, but he and I envisioned MMO type play. Dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of users playing together at once. We didn't have the knowledge or skills to make it happen, maybe only a few people on Earth did back then. Back then it was games on huge floppy disks and talking to folks on BBS's.
Fast forward more than 20 years. Danny and I are both out of the Army, and we reunite with another high school friend, Richard. Our love of D&D in high school comes up, and Richard mentions that his brother runs a MUD. It seems his Dad had a T1 line dropped into his home and is running a private internet provider and hosting this MUD. I hadn't heard of a MUD.
MUD: Multi-User Dungeon. A 100% text based game for potentially hundreds of people at once. No graphics. Example:
You are in a room. In front of you is a pool of clear water. It seems to call you. To the left, you see an exit from this area, leading to an unknown fate.
At this point, you might type, "drink water" and get ambushed by a monster or "exit left" and something else scripted would happen. You can run entire dungeons that way, leveling up, collecting equipment and unlocking abilities. They all had different rules. Some only allowed you to kill monsters (PvE or Player vs Enemies) and others let you kill both (PvP or Player vs Players, which also includes enemies like monsters hostile.) The MUD that Richard's brother ran was the Wild Wild West - No rules at all besides not hacking the MUD itself. There were specific areas where you could not be killed, but almost anywhere else you could be.
When I made an account and logged in over my 56k dial up modem for the first time, it was amazing. There were safe areas inside the cities and where you couldn't be attacked. One step outside the city, and another player would kill you and loot your corpse before you could log back in. It was BRUTAL. If you couldn't read fast, you were dead. If you couldn't type AT LEAST 80 wpm and memorize a shit ton of keyboard shortcuts, you were dead. Players would kill you just for the joy of it, even if they didn't need your gear. Life was harsh.
I would get up in the morning, hit a couple of classes at the college, maybe play Magic the Gathering in the smoking lounge, do a few hours in the computer lab on internship, then head home to eat, chain smoke and fight. (I am so glad I gave up smokes - seriously. Fuck tobacco.)
The worst part was that on this particular MUD, there were clans. The largest and most powerful was The Toadies. They were a group of students at Georgia Technical University who where absolute fascist assholes as far as the MUD was concerned. Only a few other clans that existed since the MUD started were allowed to exist. Independent players were fair game, and new clans that formed were hunted and destroyed by The Toadies. They went so far as to not allow players weren't in The Toadies to kill certain bosses and get certain gear. They would hunt you, kill you, and loot that equipment from you if they learned you had it. And because they had been there forever and were so large, they could do it. A group of four or five of The Toadies would log in, hunt you down, and kill you in seconds.
One of the tactics they used: There was an Inn that was a safe area on the second floor, but if you went to ground level, the innkeeper would kill you. You had to type incredibly fast to get out of there safely, either going upstairs to the safe area or leaving that safe area to the safe outside though the dangerous open room. So The Toadies would wait until someone was lost. That person would broadcast something like "Hey, I need a teleport back to town." Then the Toadie would quickly run upstairs, teleport that person back to town, then wait. The person would read the room, see the exit down, then leave. They would get killed by the inkeeper if they didn't exit fast enough. The Toadie would run down, type "Loot all" and run back upstairs or out of the Inn.
Then one day, it all changed. I met Erabus when he joined the MUD.
Erabus was an older adult in college like I was. We had similar schedules. We partied up on the MUD together often. We both hated The Toadies. So we said, "Fuck it, we are making a new clan and fighting. These assholes don't get to make the rules" It also pissed us off that the admins (like Richard's brother) who ran it didn't care that a small group of players was fuckign with everyone else. He loved the chaos and drama.
Because we are poor white trash, we called our new clan The Dukes of Hazard and changed our flair. We quickly recruited 10-15 others to join us after we convinced them we had a plan, and set about leveling them up. The first few hours we hung around in the main area, people saw our flair and were talking about it. "OOOOOOoooohhhh - The Toadies are going to kill you." We gave no fucks. We were tired of being pushed around. We set about leveling up our new comrades and getting them equipment and spells to compete. Start by getting everyone the special falchion. Then the armor they need. Get that mage his staff. Oops - that staff is embargoed by The Toadies and they took it from my clan mate. Time to get him another one.
What resulted was four months of spectacular warfare. We grouped up during hours they weren't online and made runs to gear us up with the best weapons and armor. We stayed in safe areas when The Toadies were on. After a bit, we were leveled up and equipped enough we could fight quickly.
It started out by scouting. The really cool thing about this MUD was you could be logged in twice, so you could run two different characters. So imagine, I have two different text windows open and I'm switching back and forth between characters. We could find a Toadie out by themselves and jump them, loot the, then rush back to safe zones. We got the first four or so before we lost one. This tit for tat went on until we were strong enough to go 1v1. It became a months long hate fest.
One day I logged in and didn't see a Toadie on, so I took out my Mage and Ranger. My mage was the one who did the damage. My Ranger fought the enemies and kept the Mage save. While they were following each other, I get a message that a portal opens in front of me and
steps out in front of me. (I don't remember his name.)
My heart rate spiked. The adrenaline that hit me was almost nauseating. I cast several spells in quick succession between switching back to my ranger and beating the shit out of him with my mace. Then I fucked up.
I didn't know it, but I had managed to beat this leader of The Toadies to about 10% health. He had done enough damage to my two characters that I panicked and noped out of there. So he survived that encounter, but we got him a few days later.
In the end, the Dukes of Hazard won. The Toadies either quit or mostly graduated GTU and gave up on the MUD after over a year of fighting. I lost a few, I won a few. By time I graduated and quit playing, I was typing over 100 words per minute just to stay alive. Lol. I can't type nearly that fast any more, but I still do a respectable amount.
That is how video games started. Reading INCREDIBLY fast and typing even faster to stay alive. Good times.
