Hearthstone fractured in alterac valley decks
I need help climbing out of dad legend
2023.05.29 12:49 TheArcanist_ I need help climbing out of dad legend
So, I got Legend this month with an 11 star bonus very early, getting around ~1500. I played Frost DK with great success, being able to hang around like 1000-2000. Then I decided to switch decks and made Enrage Warrior... oh boy, was that a mistake. It took me a while to realize I really don't like this type of deck and I can't play it well either. So I fell to like 5000 Legend. I thought like 'well, I just gotta switch back to the deck I'm good at and climb back up, right?' Yeah, well...
I am struggling. And by struggling I mean really struggling. Again, I had zero issues hanging around 1500. Yet while I try to climb back up from low ranks, I am getting my ass handed to me by pretty much the same decks I've been beating in higher ranks. My winrate in the last 40 or so games has been like 30%, and my ranks are tanking even further. At this point it can't be just bad luck. I'm playing a tier 1 deck, one I've had great success with so far, that I've also got 8 wins with in the heroic brawl.
I am just lost. Currently 8000 legend and dropping. I feel like someone fucking came to me at night and cut out all the Hearthstone skill from my brain. Nothing I play seems to work. I've mostly faced DK (Blood and Frost), DH (Relic and Scythe), Priest (Shadow and Control), and then a little bit of Pure Paladin and Skeleton Mage. Maybe I just need a deck to target those? I just want to go back to the ranks where I had more fun.

2023.05.29 11:39 danglebears 177 days later, uncountable hours, I’m finally done. My thoughts:
https://imgur.com/gallery/odwLIwD Started playing on December 3 2022 and I’ve racked up easily (read: EASILY) 250+ hours in this time. I’ve bought the full premium pass for five out of six months, along with a welcome bundle and the February Fireworks pack. Total spent, ~USD$83. I’m by no means a whale, but I can justify paying here and there for a game that I enjoy.
Today I reached infinite for the first time using a Sera Control deck, as I have primarily for this current and last season. Previous months, I’ve always hovered around the 80 region at the end of the season. Highest I ever got was 96 last month, but Galactus decks just kept screwing me. The cube/ranking change appeared to make climbing easier, thought statistically (mathematically?) I’m not sure if that’s true at all.
Some thoughts and things I learnt from my time with this game that I wanted to share with the community:
MUTING I only “learnt” about muting opponents at the start of the game a month or so ago. No more spamming, no more toxicity. SD REALLY needs to add an auto mute function (as others have mentioned).
TILT The mechanics of this game is so similar to (Texas hold ‘em) poker. If you’re having a bad run and are losing cubes, change decks, or take a break.
DECK Find a couple of decks that work for you. For me, that was Sera Control, Electro Sandman, and Dino/Darkhawk varieties. I haven’t completed Pool 3, but was able to grab some cards from the shop. I still don’t have HE, Galactus, Kang, Nimrod, Mold, Negasonic.
ADDICTION I’ve never found myself so addicted to a game before in my life. The need to chase infinite got real in the past couple of months. I’m glad it’s done. I’ll keep playing because there are archetypes and cards that I never got to try out.
Or maybe I’ll just dig myself in to a Hearthstone hole?

2023.05.29 10:26 Leytrha Hearthstone Deck Tracker's overlay's background is black instead of being transparent
I managed to almost get Hearthstone and HDT to work together, as HDT is able to detect when I'm playing a game. However, while HDT's game overlay correctly displays all information like deck info, its background is black, which blocks me from seeing anything in-game. What can I do to make HDT's overlay's background transparent?

2023.05.29 06:03 Tek466 21 [M4F] Midwest/Anywhere/Online - Hi! Looking for a genuine flirty friendship with possible benefits. Perhaps you are too?
Hi everyone!
I’m a 21 year old From the US who is looking to get to know each other and if we click, maybe something that could lead to us being more than just friends in a casual flirty way or friends with benefits. I don't mind where you are or your age whether that's around my age or older is fine. I've been pretty lonely and what comes with that is lack of online intimacy or sexual connection so I'm seeking someone to change that with haha
After we get comfortable I'm fine with moving to other platforms such as Snapchat or discord or something. With Snapchat, I prefer sending snaps over texting. I mainly find Snapchat to be the most fun when sending pics thus why I prefer it.
Physically I'm 6ft tall, I'm average/slim build, and I'm white with hazel eyes and dark brown hair. I wear glasses too.
I've been feeling kind of lonely as of late and decided to try my chances. I live on a small farm house built in the 50s with family and my parents are a little on the older side and thus we don't really get out all that often, so it becomes kind of isolating at times. I figured why not make a post and possibly meet someone great as you never know what life will give you when least expected. I work as a facility maintenance tech for a company that I just started with a week ago!
Now that we've established who I am and what I'm looking for, here are a few interests of mine to get to know me better!
• Fall/Autumn season
Already mentioned, but had to list this one because I just adore the fall and everything that comes with it. My birthday is in October too so it's always been my favorite month. I much prefer fall and winter over a muggy humid summer. In the cooler seasons there's always ways to warm up.
• Technology
I'm good at fixing electronics and I'm quite nerdy in that aspect. So if something breaks I can fix it ;) I'm also good with my hands and quite inclined mechanically. Just the other day I was over at my elderly neighbor's barn helping him work on an antique tractor. I know how to fix circuit boards and troubleshoot components.
• Music
I love genres such as classic rock, alternative rock, psychedelic rock, gothic rock, heavy metal, punk, post punk, hardcore, etc. My current favorite bands are The Cure and Joy Division/New Order. But I like tons of older and newer bands as well.
• Cooking and Baking
I like to cook and learn new recipes, as well as bake fun things too! It's always nice when the house feels nice and cozy and smells good. I appreciate the simple pleasures in life, a cozy cup of tea and music or a movie in bed or sitting outside is so nice!
• Animals
I love animals of all types, and I currently have an older cat which I adore to death! We rescued her from the local shelter. She's the sweetest thing. (I think I love her more than anyone in the house lol, she just makes me so happy) :)
• Art
I enjoy art, both creating it from time to time such as drawing, and admiring other peoples work. There's just something so fun about it and seeing things so beautiful.
• Houseplants
I love houseplants and really anything nature related and also spiritual such as crystals and rocks. I love to help my mom in caring for all of our plants and also gardening outside when its a good growing season. Its fun! I also like cottage core and goblin core type vibes and enjoy sitting out on the deck burning incense, its peaceful :)
• Cozy video games
I'm not a hardcore gamer really, but I enjoy simple and fun cozy relaxing games such as Stardew valley and Minecraft. :)
I'm a very honest, caring, and loving type of person. I'm pretty introverted normally in private but get quite extroverted when I'm close with someone. I'm not one to be too social going to parties or drinking or any of that stuff, I much prefer a nice quiet night at home or going out with my partner and going to have fun or see films and the like, in addition to being at home. So if you are more of a homebody type, that would match quite well with me.
There's not much I expect from a potential friend except for respect, kindness, and honesty! I'm just very chill and easy going and able to adapt to all sorts of personalities.
If you think we'd vibe, send me a chat! I’d love to get to know you! :)

2023.05.29 01:43 DarkChyld Hit legend with 71% winrate with warrior
https://imgur.com/a/oIC2og9 I was bored waiting for D4 so I decided to watch Kibler play some constructed/Brawl and he got a 12 win brawl with a warrior deck. It was a unique one so I tried to pilot it in Standard to get some practice before I do a brawl. I got hooked on it as it's an interesting combo deck and it's quite satisfying to finish off an opponent from 20+ life with a huge Grommash. It has some elements of enrage, menagerie, and riffs. It wasn't my first time hitting legend, but it definitely was my quickest.

2023.05.29 00:35 Hersbird We had good intentions...
| Truck was loaded up with camping gear but lots of rain in the forecast so compromised. This place is awesome! Wood floors, heated blankets, gas fireplace on the deck, nice bathrooms close, hammocks, firepits, cornhole, about 45 minutes outside of Yellowstone park. Yellowstone Dreamin Camp. About $220 a night total for a tent that would sleep 5 easy. If only the river wasn't so blown out with runoff. Fishing is world class in the Paradise Valley. submitted by Hersbird to camping [link] [comments] |

2023.05.28 22:19 Cultural_Estimate_90 Set Idea: Journey to the Center of Azeroth (Jules Verne inspired)
I put this on another hearthstone reddit and someone pointed me here. I don't have any art skills to make the cards, so if anyone wants to do anything here, feel free!
So like many Hearthstone players, I also play the game that inspired it, World of Warcraft. Currently, the game has players exploring an underground area called the Zaralek Caverns, which include a new and cute mole-like race called the Niffen. Then, remembering Deepholm and another ground-dwelling race called the Drogbar, a bunch of ideas came to me in the form of a new expansion idea: Journey to the Center of Azeroth.
Since the idea (and the name) is based on the work of the great author, Jules Verne, I decided it should be inspired and themed after his work. And so this is the basic story idea:
Plot: Many secrets still lay underneath the surface of Azeroth, both great riches and dangerous secrets. Come join the legendary writer and amateur explorer, Joles Burns, as he takes his specially modified mole machine and digs deeper into Azeroth than anyone has before! He will not stop until he reaches the center of the planet! But will his expedition lead to untold treasures...or horrifying terrors that should not have been disturbed...?
Joles Burns will be a Dark Iron Dwarf and the MC of the expansion and a likely solo adventure. He can be a shaman potrait hero, but I see him also as a legendary neutral card. Which brings up the special new term introduced to this expansion: Collaspe
Jole Burns: Legendary. (Neutral) 7/8. 8-Mana. Battlecry: Collapse. three slots of your choosing for 3 turns. Entrance Quote: I am a dark iron dwarf and I DIGGY DIGGY A HOLE!!! (Reference to the Windrose song)
Collapse is a new mechanic I thought of that gives players the ability to manipulate the playing field itself. The targets are monster slots (Emptied or occupied), secrets, quests, multiple-turn spells (like the Alterac Valley spells), and even hero powers. When a slot is collasped, it can not be used (effects like spell damage for being out get nullified), have its effects activated (secrets remain unable to be triggered), or be progressed (quests can't be fufilled until collaspe ends). You may choose your own field or the opponents. Now all collapse effects have a timer, but can be ended up earlier by giving up one mana to "dig it up". This can never be lowered or effected by mana cost, so it becomes a matter of stragety (do you give up mana to get it out back but possibly run out before your full stragety works or do you save mana while waiting for it to end?) To counter this, there can be a neutral monster card or two can that dig up slots (all slots at once, so like if its three mana and you have four slots, it'd only cost you three mana instead of four)
The monsters and cards can be themed around the underground areas such as Deepholm, Neltharion's Lair, and the Caverns. We can see niffen, drogbar, elementals, and maybe even bring back the Kobolds.
Now here's the card themes I thought of for each class:
1: Death Knight. Mushrooms (Unholy), fossils (frost), old god corruption (Blood). I thought this would be a funny idea, as part of the Titan research faciulty that would be part of the solo storyline, that all the natural fauna were experimented on...and turned out horribly wrong. Mushrooms grow on dead things, and would fit here for unholy's death and plague themes. (think fungus zombies!) Bones would be related to frost (because of "cold dead") and old god-related corruption could work for blood like how G'hunn was connected to blood-based curses.
2: Demon Hunter. Underground demons. This was a tough one, but I came up with the idea that demons long ago tried opening a portal to Azeroth and got stuck in the center of the earth instead. They are slightly berserk after centuries of being able to find their way back out.
3: Druid. Giant plants of the jungle area. In Journey to the Center of the Earth, there was a major area that was a monstrous jungle filled with dinosaurs and various monsters. And one big thing were the giant man-eating plants, so i thought that should be the druid's theme here.
4: Hunter. Giant underground beasts. These would be the same giant beasts of the jungle area. True, not very original for hunter, but most of their themes revolve around using animals like the wow class. We could have dinosaurs and giant worms for an example.
5: Mage. Lava area. I thought of this for the shaman or warrior originally, but better ideas for them came to me. Instead, I thought this would be good for the mage, focusing around fire elementals, monsters, and spells.
6: Paladin. Titanic constructs. Since many titan constructs use the light as a weapon similar to paladins, I thought this would be their theme here. Part of the story involves the underground titan faciulty Joles Burns discovers, and so would be fitting here.
7: Priest. Crystal monsters. Crystals were often believed to have healing and mystic powers, and naturally amplify light. So I thought crystal constructs and beasts would be good for the priest here.
8: Rogue. The Niffen. These guys are small, but sneaky, so I thought they'd match with the naturally stealthy rogue. Their spell cards could involve their odor-based warfare as rogue tools (such as stink bombs and explosives).
9: Shaman. Therazane and the earth elementals. This was easy to decide on after thinking about it slightly. They naturally work with the shaman's abilities and Therazane herself can be a legendary for the shaman.
10: Warlock. Fel-infected. Going back to the demon theme of the Demon Hunter, I thought in their madness, they left fel wounds all over the underground and it infected the creatures and citizens here. So you can expect fel-influenced drogbar, sniffen, and even kobolds ("NO TAKE GREEN CANDLE!!!") The legendary here can be Totswaggle, who returns after finding a strange and beautiful fel-flamed candle that messes with his already screwy mind.
11: Warrior. The Drogbar. A race of uber-chads obessed with pumping iron and building muscle? Sounds perfect for a muscle-focused class like the warrior! Here's a weapon I thought of that could be fun.
Buff-U Weight. 1/4. (5 mana). Deathrattle: Give your hero 1 attack permantely if used at least four times previously (so no cheating by switch weapons or breaking your own weapon otherwise. No cheating on the road to fitness!)
One of the legendaries here could be Dargrul, who was the king of the Drogbar in Highmountain, until the adventurers of Azeroth killed him in Neltharion's Lair as its final boss. His entrance or battle quote could be: "THE MOUNTAIN WILL GNAW AT YOUR BONES!!!" (A line he screams during the fight for one of his attacks)
So do you guys think this would be a fun expansion? Feel free to comment and add your own ideas.

2023.05.28 20:49 Mortimer_Whimsiwick World Hunger Games: 17th Hunger Games: Finale + Aftermath
Day 2 came to a close along with the betting circuits. As by law, the betting circuits closed the moment ten tributes remained which was brought about by Carnelia’s death. Artemis and Luther revealed the betting statistics. The top three tributes from top to bottom were Mortimer, Cat, and Wolvthorne. Artemis claimed to have taken a gamble and betted on Cat. Luther stuck with his Mortimer vote, uttering his signature catchphrase, “Always vote for the best story”. Their attention was diverted to the victor’s lounge where Candace Freeman (victor of the 4th Hunger Games) drunkenly accused Gill of cheating and then devolving into a rant about how unfair it was that District 1 hadn’t done well in recent years. Bacchus Johnson (victor of the 9th Hunger Games) blamed their district mayor Baron Moriarty for his materialistic viewpoints and encouragement for overindulgence spoiling the district youth rotten. Fabeline Granger (victor of the 15th Hunger Games) chalked it up to Candace being a privileged drama queen before making a snide remark towards her husband, Capital superstar Paris Dinkley. Candace broke a bottle over her head in retaliation. Silas MacIntyre (victor of the 7th Hunger Games) wrapped Candace in a bear hug and threw her out of the room. Fabeline was taken to the infirmary, where she was treated for a gash on her head, receiving four stitches. Back in the commentator’s booth, Artemis was so far deep in the juicy drama that she missed the arena’s great reveal.
After a light breakfast, Mortimer and Cat decided they were ready to push through the brush. They were still feeling woozy from the powerful smell but felt the need to persevere. Cat took the lead and used her sword to cut through the foliage. Mortimer kept the rear and scanned the lake, searching for any approaching tributes. After about ten minutes, Cat cut through the last bush and was mystified by what lay ahead. Mortimer caught up and turned to see the arena’s hidden surprise.
It was a derelict pirate ship nestled on a mound of sand. The ship appeared abandoned and worn down, the cameras spotting holes in the hull. It was also without sails, leaving naked wooden poles. Cat wondered why this would be such a big deal, saying the place looked unsafe. Mortimer agreed and guessed it wasn’t for floating, using the holes and lack of sails as proof. Cat suggested they check it out anyway, guessing this was where the final showdown will take place. He agreed and the two made their way up.
Now that the secret location was found, the gamemakers made preparations for the finale. The alligators were called back, but not soon enough for Peggy (8), who was ripped to shreds and cannon sounding as Mortimer and Cat climbed the ship’s ladder. Head Gamemaker Grimstone’s voice rang throughout the arena. He congratulated the remaining six tributes and instructed them to make their way across the lake for the final showdown. Suddenly, large stones rose from the lake’s depths, all lining up to create a path towards the ship. For those farthest away, a large blue light emanated above the ship. All the remaining tributes rushed towards the ship as fast as they could. Jassy (12) was the first to make it across the lake despite falling off the stone path three times. Andrei (2) and Wolvthorne (7) were both minutes behind her and after grabbing their supplies proceeded onto the stone path. Wolvthorne was following behind a disoriented Andrei and took this opportunity to lodge his axe into his back, fracturing his spine. Andrei roared in pain and anger, but his cries were silenced when he was thrown into the lake. His injury prevented him from staying afloat and his cannon sounded three minutes later. Horace (10) was the last to make it across, feeling weak from the smell.
Mortimer and Cat were already on the poop deck when the announcement happened. They were elated to discover the sulphur smell to not be present anymore and tore off their masks. They hastily surveyed the deck, looking for a hiding place or any sort of useful tool. Cat realized that the entrances into the bowels of the ship were closed off, leaving them stranded out in the open on the deck. Mortimer considered their options and surrendered to their only option: making a stand. The two brandished their weapons and waited by the ladder, waiting for anyone to climb up.
Jassy noticed this and circled around to the other side and found another ladder. Wolvthorne followed suit. Jassy crept up onto the deck and spotted Mortimer and Cat staring down the ship. She notched her last arrow into her bow and aimed carefully. Her accuracy was slightly off when she released, and the arrow landed in Mortimer’s left bicep. He grunted in pain, causing him to drop his trident off the side of the ship. The surprised Cat turned to see Jassy standing there shell shocked over her failed assassination attempt. Cat chased after her around the deck, attempting to swipe at her with her sword. While the two were distracted, Wolvthorne pulled himself up and narrowed his sights on Mortimer. Weaponless, Mortimer nevertheless stood his ground and faced him. Wolvthorne told him he would pay for killing his partner, but he scoffed and reminded him there could only be one winner. An enraged Wolvthorne charged with axe in hand. Mortimer dodged his attack and began to run across the deck. Wolvthorne continued in hot pursuit, with Mortimer continuously evading his attacks. This became a hilarious game of cat and mouse, Artemis flinching every time Wolvthorne’s axe was within an inch of Mortimer’s head.
Meanwhile, Horace (10) finally emerged and noticed the separate fights going on. He decided to go after the girls, seeing the two men as a greater threat. Cat chased Jassy up to the steering wheel and managed to corner her. Jassy begged for her life, even offering to help defeat Wolvthorne. Cat remained unfazed and thrust her sword into her chest, sounding her cannon seconds later. Horace used the distraction to tackle Cat to the ground. He held her down with all his might and tried to wretch the sword out of her hand. She bit down on his hand so hard that blood began to pool. The crowds in Maximus Square were surprised by the power of her jaw. Cat ripped a flap of skin clean off Horace’s hand, drops of blood decorating her face. She regained possession of her sword and swung it back behind her. The blade lodged itself into the side of his head, sounding his cannon instantly. Out of breath, she limped to the railing and saw Mortimer was in trouble. She ran down the stairs to help her ally.
Despite the harrowing battle Cat was enduring, most of the attention was on the game of cat and mouse between Mortimer and Wolvthorne. At the same time Cat was struggling to escape Horace’s weight, one of Wolvthorne’s strikes demolished a wooden support beam that held a small above deck which would’ve led to the captain’s quarters. A particularly large cornerstone of the deck above fell onto Wolvthorne’s head, causing him to stumble back and collide with the ship’s edge. Mortimer used this opportunity to rush him and try pushing him off. Wolvthorne was much bigger than him and barely budged. However, Mortimer was successful in making him drop his axe. Wolvthorne headbutted Mortimer and shoved him to the ground. He attempted to choke him, but Mortimer twisted himself around and wrapped his legs around Wolvthorne’s torso. He used his elbows to push himself over his opponent’s back and pulled on his right arm all the while still keeping his leg grip. Wolvthorne struggled for a moment before wrestling himself free. He put him in a chokehold and slammed his face into the ground. He squeezed as hard as he could while Mortimer tried and failed to struggle. Many viewers in Maximus Square were cheering for Mortimer to fight back, mostly due to their betting money going towards him.
The prayers of the Buccaneers were answered when a sword entered Wolvthorne’s back and exited out his abdomen. Wolvthorne’s grip softened, enabling Mortimer to squeeze himself free. Wolvthorne turned to see Cat standing there with a determined look on her face. With the last bit of his strength, he lunged at Cat and pulled her into the blade protruding from his stomach. Cat let out a gasp as the blade entered her body. The Capital was shocked by the sudden turn of events but not as horrified as Mortimer. He grabbed the handle and looked at Cat. She looked upon him in sorrow and nodded her head. Mortimer unsheathed the sword from both bodies and thrust the blade into Wolvthorne’s brain, sounding his cannon instantly.
Mortimer thanked her for being his ally and a true friend. He quickly surveyed the skies. He leaned forward, brought his mouth to Cat’s ear, and began to whisper. The arena’s concealed microphones couldn’t decipher anything. Cat’s final words were, “Don’t worry. Patient confidentiality.” Her cannon sounded seconds later. Head Gamemaker Grimstone declared Mortimer Beckett of District 4 the victor of the 17th Hunger Games. Mortimer felt immense relief and let himself crumple onto the floor. The retrieval team arrived to pick him up and he came with them without a fight.
Mortimer was airlifted to the Maximus Hospital for medical examination. The arrow wound was stitched together and the cut over his eye received treatment, leaving two tic marks at the 2 o’clock and 8 o’clock positions. He was released two days later and was instructed to take it easy. Minerva escorted him back to the apartment, feeling happy he won. They reunited with Gill Henderson, who congratulated him for his win. While Mortimer admitted he felt grateful to have survived, he couldn’t stop thinking about Cat and how she was more deserving. Gill assured him that she sacrificed herself because she believed in him. He remained unconvinced, so Gill took him on a field trip to the Capital’s Oakley Museum of Art, recently erected by Silas MacIntyre (victor of the 7th Hunger Games) and Candace Freeman (victor of the 4th Hunger Games). It was there he met Phoebe Bentley and the two spent hours at the museum talking. Their intimate conversation helped Mortimer significantly, cheering him up enough to meet Gill at the Dipping Downer’s bar to drink with Bacchus Johnson (victor of the 9th Hunger Games) and Quarry Grounds (victor of the 12th Hunger Games).
The victor’s interview arrived and gathered a decent turnaround. Artemis and Luther wore matching outfits, reminiscent of the clothes swamp tour guides wore before the Dark Days. During the opening monologue, Luther expressed how pleased he was of the recent games giving them powerful personal journeys with the victors. Artemis said that while he was no Ashley Chen (victor of the 13th Hunger Games) or Sherpa Kapoor (victor of the 16th Hunger Games), she greatly enjoyed Mortimer’s performance. Mortimer entered the stage sporting something completely unexpected. His now famous tattoo was visible, but the suit he wore was intricately cut around it. The top half was sky blue while the bottom half was dark blue with wavy patterns making it look almost like the ocean. The funny part was him wearing a cap with a small cartoonish gator's head attached to the front.
Artemis and Luther started off by marveling at his outfit, calling it a revolution in fashion design. Mortimer attributed this to Minerva, the same person who polished the tattoo for the pre games interview. Artemis asked if he would get new tattoos, him saying he is planning on it. The first half of the interview was casual, covering topics of tattoo suggestions, his time at the bar with Bacchus and Quarry, and Minerva’s hard work on his outfit. The games eventually came up in conversation with Mortimer describing it “as if walking in a wet blanket that was also in the sewer”. Luther asked about the alligators and what motivated him to wrestle them. Mortimer tensed up but answered that he was trying to save Pearl. Artemis asked how much of a role she played in his victory. Mortimer credited her for getting the ball rolling in helping him realise to not give up on humanity. He saw her as the little sister he never had and wished he would have thanked her. Luther noted that since she got the ball rolling, it was someone else who broke through to him. Mortimer realised he was talking about Cat. He expressed how he felt she deserved to win more than him and how he chose to not let her sacrifice go to waste. Artemis admitted that while she betted on Cat, she was glad he made it, calling her Golden Victor material. Mortimer appreciated her sentiment. Luther reminded them that he was certainly a Golden Victor, citing his impressive chemistry skills and literally wrestling with an alligator. Him and Artemis dismissed Mortimer from the stage to rapturous applause, calling him “Captain Gator”, which became his victor’s nickname.
Mortimer was invited to some parties in the Capital. Gill accompanied him and stole the spotlight numerous times when requested to do shanties. Mortimer would dance along always with a drink in hand. He returned to District 4 and received a warm welcome from its citizens. He used the stage to openly apologise to those he turned away and for being a hoodlum. His reunion with his girlfriend Meridia was passionate and heartwarming, but not as much as the one with his father. Two weeks later, his request for Edward Beckett to undergo back surgery at the Capital was improved with a letter of recommendation personally penned by Gill. Edward’s damaged spinal disc was replaced with a flexible prosthetic. However, the surgery was a minimal success, removing some of the pain and enabling him to walk only small increments with assistance from a cane. Mortimer felt dejected over this but was humbled when several townsfolk pitched in to craft a wheelchair for him. Mortimer and his father partnered with Gill to start a rehabilitation center to help the injured and disabled workers of District 4 and the Island Bases. He further expanded his knowledge of chemistry and medicine, becoming District 4’s chief doctor. He crafted pain medication from the SHC compound delivered to him by Phoebe Bentley and prescribed them to various members of the district.
Mortimer made right by his promise and mended his relationships. He and Pearl’s father Alexander Riverstone crafted new nonalcoholic drinks, a certain cherry lime drink inspiring the Johnson’s Jazzy Juices future classic: the Beach Blanket. He also patched things up with Meridia’s father, the two often going on fishing trips together. His reputation only grew and grew until he was elected mayor of District 4 by the 31st Hunger Games. Mortimer grew closer to Gill and mentored alongside him until the next D4 victor was crowned. He became good friends with Phoebe Bentley as well, supplying him with chemistry textbooks and new batches of the warmweed’s SHC compound. In honor of Cat, he had Meridia etch a sea green ribbon tattoo, which represented mental health awareness, around the treasure chest. He was also friends with Corpse Beckford (victor of the 10th Hunger Games) who gifted him and Meridia tattoo inks for his birthday. Quarry Grounds (victor of the 12th Hunger Games) was also in Mortimer's good graces after he gifted Edward a special redwood cane with a beautiful marble topper.
Things were complicated when it came to his relationship with Meridia. Initially, they grew much closer, her giving him sea serpent tattoos on both his arms in addition to the ribbon. Unfortunately, five months before next year’s game, the two broke off the relationship. However, after the tumultuous 18th Hunger Games, the two reconciled and married a week before the reaping of the 19th Hunger Games. The two had five kids, naming his first daughter Katherine, after his deceased ally.
Mortimer was one of the four Golden Victors to disappear alongside Vixen Furtherson (victor of the 14th Hunger Games) after Savannah Pickett (victor of the 6th Hunger Games)’s death before the 41st Hunger Games. Days after the 47th Hunger Games, the underground terrorist group The Phoenix Fighters leaked two dossiers days apart. The first revealing reports of many accidents taking place on the military island bases. It also highlighted some cases of peacekeepers overworking and in some cases beating workers. The same dossier also revealed how Edward Beckett’s ‘accident’ was actually caused by the Faroe Island Base’s assistant supervisor Plutarch Manson. Manson was found dead in his Capital apartment three days later, his throat slit.
The second dossier revealed evidence of the reapings being tampered with over the years, whether it’d be names added, taken out, or scrubbed. The second dossier instigated some chaos in the districts, which was hastily subdued by the peacekeepers. Mortimer was never seen again, though there was heavy speculation regarding his possible membership in The Phoenix Fighters. On occasion, Capital navy ships and submarines would be attacked and looted under mysterious circumstances. One survivor named Lemuel Stanton blamed everything on a ‘ghost submarine’, one no one could see on the radar nor in person. A fair pocket of Capital analysts suspected Mortimer but lack of evidence kept his bounty from increasing.

2023.05.28 20:28 UPellegrini [EARLY ACCESS] Looking for content creators for online card game where players can create their own (balanced) cards
Hi everyone,
would you love to try a new and innovative online card game out? Maybe you already played some other card games in the past such as Hearthstone, Magic The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel or similar but you got tired by the meta?
Then you might be interested in the following.
My team and I are working at a new game currently in closed beta on Epic Store, its name is Ariokan.
Ariokan is the online card game where you can create your own (balanced) cards at any time and invent new strategies, decks and combos every day.
No matter the meta, you have the power to break it! The game has been in development for a while now, it has been tested with a good amount of players that joined the closed beta so far and that play it daily. Now we are
looking for the first content creators looking for a new game to play and show. No minimum amount of followers required at this stage.
Are you interested?
Here you'll find our Video Pitch. It is a bit outdated but the mechanics are almost the same nowadays. If you like this video, you will be even happier when you start to play: since then a lot of improvements have been done!
Some additional info about what you can do in Ariokan
Explore Infinite Combos In Ariokan you choose your own destiny. Create your own unique cards with the in-game Cards Editor and surprise your opponents with even more unique combos
Choose Your Faction Each faction of Ariokan has its own style, strategy and unique characters such as Gods and Hunters. What’s yours?
Break The Meta As players create new cards constantly, every game in Ariokan is unique. Invent new strategies to define the meta, and find countermoves to break it in an endless cycle of creativity
Craft Your Victory Pick a God, create your own cards and build your deck.Use the card editor to deploy your creativity, craft your strategy and win.Join Ariokan today and start testing your strategies and combos now.
--------
Let me answer some of the
frequently asked questions in advance:
Do new cards need approval or can I play them immediately?
Approval is automatic, so you can play them immediately. Other players will be able to unlock the card to play it, too. No game update is required to see new cards. How is Ariokan balanced?
Math! The stronger your card is, the more “mana” it costs to play it during a match. You can also sacrifice your own resources (I.E: life points, units, cards of your deck) to lower the “mana” cost of a card: I.E: A card that does 3 damage to all enemy units costs more than one that does 3 damage to all enemy units but requires you to sacrifice one of your units first How many cards have been created by the users so far?
Up to March users creartd +1800 cards. How can I play? Y
ou just need to check the website (here) and if convinced just join the Discord server. At that point, a bot will DM you your key to be redeemed in the Epic Store. Do you want to know more about how to create your own cards? Just check this

2023.05.28 18:29 Klepa100 Day (24/41) of making the worst deck in hearthstone. Today - finally some murloc quest support.
2023.05.28 17:21 VernonKazama My Mario Kart Wish List 📃
~ 1. Introduction ~
Here is a detailed description of my wishlist for a Mario Kart 9 or 10/X (if Tour is considered the 9th installment) I don't expect everyone to like all my ideas. This is just a wishlist. I obviously would be happy with any Mario Kart Nintendo decides to put out but in a perfect world, this is what I would want for it to be the best Mario Kart imo. I hope you enjoy.

*² - All race and battle modes will feature either a Solo Dash or the new Double Dash option similar to Mario Kart Double Dash for extra replayability and character combinations.
*³ - Even if not many people liked Automatic drifting, it was there for a reason for you to choose. Some liked it. Some didn't. It should be the player's choice.
*⁴ - Camera can also be changed freely during the race from the pause menu.

Solo Dash drivers will now only select between Karts and Bikes and Double Dash drivers will only select between ATVs and new Buggy vehicles. *Buggys are essential similar to the designs of the Karts used in Mario Kart Double Dash. ATVs are now bigger in size to help fit the idea of 2 drivers on one vehicle.
*³ - The original Super Mario Kart had 5 courses per Cup so I brought that option back for custom races.

- I'm thinking Solo Dash races will feature the usual 12 players (1st - 12th place) while Double Dash races features upto 16 players but 8 groups total (1st - 8th place).
- Worldwide and Regional Grand Prix will be 2-12 racers (or 4-16 in doubles mode) in a 4-race Cup from any randomly displayed Cups. Cups are then selected based on player voting.
- Create Room will now feature customized options such as Mode, Teams, Items, CPUs, and Vehicles similar to the Create a Tournament option.
- For online, I'd also like for a better ranking system to prevent casual players from racing against competitive players and vice versa.

²* - View recent online races or battles replays. Earn coins by voting who'll be 1st. * Literally stole this idea from Smash.
~ Other Details
- The race start intro and race finishes to retro courses will have a remake version of their original transitions along with a rearranged verison of their original theme from that respective retro course. Example for better understanding. * Mario Kart GP courses will have the current game's race start and finish transitions.
- I somehow also want to incorporate a way that once the Retro Grand Prix is unlocked, the title screen will have remake versions of the original title screens from previous Mario Kart games similar to Mario Party Superstars. Example
- It would show different title screens at each start up similarly to how Mario Kart 8/Deluxe's title screens Example
- Sometimes the CPU seems to make decisions that only seem to target the player regardless of placement. I want a smarter CPU for harder difficulties that won't just use an item just to use. If a CPU is holding a shell, they should use it logically or defend themselves with it logically.
- I personally am fine with every other mechanic used in Mario Kart 8/Deluxe such as driving techniques used, amiibo settings, Stats, etc. Keep the same driving techniques even during Double Dash mode. I personally was not a fan of Mario Kart Double Dash's drift mechanic and would not want that function brought back.
~ 3. Characters and Vehicles ~
~ Characters
68 Total Drivers (including DLC) 32 Total Alternate Drivers. 100 Total Individual Characters.
- Driver select screen, press R button to rotate between alternate drivers. Some drivers will have upto 9 different outfits to choose from.
- I wanted the original 8 to be the starting roster.

- - there's plenty of room for more characters but I figured 100 was the perfect amount of characters, especially with the double dash feature with everyone potentially having a partner with no odd person out.
~ Vehicles
Available parts. The parts available are listed here in the order shown in the vehicle customization screen, with the following notation: ¹ = Changes color, depending on the character. ² = Changes color for the Koopalings. ³ = Changes color for Daisy, Baby Daisy, Rosalina, and Baby Rosalina. (DLC) = Part is only available as downloadable content.
- Personally, I would want a system that prevents everyone from choosing the best racer with the best vehicle parts. For example If Luigi is the best racer and his best vehicle is the standard kart with mushroom tires, and gold glider, obviously everyone will choose Toad and those exact parts to win races. I want everyone to choose their favorite racer and parts that make them comfortable to race in, and not just look at a list of the best racers and parts and just copy and paste that. I don't know how to fix this honestly but I'm sure someone could help with ideas to this to make everyone equal in a way on the track with their own individuality similar to what Mario Kart 7 did with their characters.

Green Shell - Travels in a straight line and knocks over a kart it hits.
Red Shell - Red Shell Homes in on the closest kart in front of the player and knocks it over.
Feather - Causes the player to spin and leap in the air, providing a small speed boost upon landing, akin to a regular trick (characters will also perform a trick animation during the jump).
Mushroom - Provides the player's kart with a small speed boost.
Super Star - Provides the player invincibility from all terrain and items, and also giving a speed boost.
Boo - Unleashes Boo, who turns the player invisible for a brief time, making them impervious to enemy attacks, and steals an opponent's item. Cannot steal Special Items.
Coinˣ - Grants the player two extra coins and a micro boost.
Lightningˣ - Causes all opponents to drop their items, shrink, and drive slowly for a short time.
Fake Item - Looks just like an item box, but when you run into it, it knocks you over.

Spiny Shellˣ - Targets the racer in first place, knocking over all other karts in its path.
Super Horn - Emits a radial shockwave hitting racers, as well as destroying all obstacles, including the Spiny Shell.
~ Special Items
Fireball (Red) - Three fireballs will revolve around your kart. They split up after they're thrown and go sliding ahead. These powerful pyrotechnics can take out multiple opponents at once. Drivers: Mario, Fire Mario

Fire Flower - Allows the player to throw fireballs for a short time that cause other karts to spin out on impact. Drivers: Metal Mario, Fire Peach, Fire Bro
Ice Flower - Three balls of ice will revolve around your kart. Throw them all at once and they'll freeze any kart they hit, causing them to slide. Drivers: Ice Bro, Ice Mario, Penguin Luigi

Drivers: Blinky, Pinky, Inky, Clyde * If there was absolutely no choice but to have the next Meta character, it'd be the Ghosts. Having one of the worst possible specials in the game should balance them out.
POW Block - The POW Block appears above the karts as a 2D image, warning players of its arrival, and causes any racer on the ground ahead of the user to spin out and drop their items. * Since wheelies are no longer a thing, it always spins out other racers unless they're in anti-gravity mode or during an in air trick Drivers: Mii, Don-chan

2023.05.28 16:45 Jay_Logan I just released a balance update for my TCG on TTS.
Hi all, I just finished and uploaded a new balance update for my TCG I'm currently working on, called M.A.W. - Multiverse at War (
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2970181596). The update contains the following:
- Reworking the resource system, replacing the randomized one with a passive, progressive system similar to Hearthstone. - Nerfed a lot of the buffs to reduce snowballing effects. - Introduced Effect Type Indicators to clearly distinguish between always active, once per turn activatable and one off effects. - Added dedicated Status Condition Markers. - Updated the Rulebook in the mod as well (also found here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/148qW-LhhPpq-zk1iO4eGX2TVeZvx4HqC/view?usp=sharing ) - Added new preconstructed test decks to play with.
I'll be hosting open games for people interested in learning the game on TTS, if you like what you see, please come and say hi!
