2023.06.04 18:44 SSR_Adraeth Went to my first Pride thing yesterday, and I think it's the first time in my life I don't regret the pain I feel today.
My body hurts all over. Feet, thighs, hips, butt... Even got a sunburn on my chest. Standing up and sitting down, moving around the house, it's all pain and suffering. Just putting my feet o nthe ground hurts, really.
And I don't regret a single thing.
I went to Pride yesterday, with some trans friends and my ally mom. We didn't do the whole route planned by the event, because two of the group started feeling really sick and I was starting to get a headache myself, because of a combinaition of the super loud music, people screaming, getting bumped around, the heat, etc... So we just ended up leaving to go to a bar and cool off, hang out, chat, waiting for the rest to have their fill before enjoying some food and such. I was even out in a new outfit I put together especially for the event.
So nothing that fancy really. But fuck, that was really enjoyable. There weren't even any asshole really. Some disapproving looks, sure, but who gives a fuck about those. There was even a lot of elderly watching, "dancing" (as much as they could) to the music, taking pictures and smiling.
Just a simple fun time celebrating differences with no asshole daring to attack a group of 1000 queer people who would have deleted them in a second.

2023.06.04 18:38 Damaislay My XR died after 8.6 miles.
Took my XR to the coolest bike trails in my area. I haven’t been there in 2 years besides 1 time a week prior, and they added another loop, a “black diamond” loop. It’s 3 miles of cool semi chill single track to get from the parking lot to where you get in this loop, last time I skipped it because I didn’t know it how to get to it, there are confusing trail signs and 2 way sections that lead you to 1 way sections, anyways I rode the new loop, fucking sick, makes me want to buy a new mountain bike, it’s seriously the nicest loop in at least the tri city area I’m from, top notch legit MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to put this 5mile looo in. Anyway just as I finish the loop I hear my phone. It’s the 10%. Battery warning and I’m now almost 10 miles from the parking lot… I had to carry the 50lbs board for 8 miles up and down hills on a 90 degree Michigan day, in a bike park that is named Mosquito Creek! For a damn good reason, there’s a Billion mosquitos! Went from most fun ever to worst hell I could imagine, I didn’t take one break n walked as fast as I could and still was eaten alive… I get that I was on a more technical terrain, but should this take 9-10 miles off my normal battery life ???

2023.06.04 18:25 Matth3w_95 Philosophical question: am I a noob?
Today I played Fortnite for the first time in weeks (it's also the first time I post something here). I re-discovered chess and I paused my PlayStation for a while. I've never been really good at Fortnite, I kinda panic when someone attacks me as I can't craft fast enough to shield me. Also, I'm more used to the first-person perspective in shooting games. What I like the most about Fortnite is exploring the map and discovering new places, I like that we often have new things added to look at. So my strategy in battle royale is staying far from battles and looking for cool landscapes, new buildings and features of the map. Does that make me a coward or an explorer? I have fun playing that way, but sometimes I think I may be missing the point of the game.
Am I the only one that doesn't care about kills and just wanders around?

Don’t usually post in groups but for fun, I thought it would be cool to share some of my art inspired by Aurora to you!
A couple of months ago in March, I produced this edit/remix of an unreleased song of Auroras I found on YouTube called ‘Wavelength’. I loved it and I was so inspired. I tried to make it sound like an electronic dance anthem as I started producing it when I was quite sick so I needed something to boost my energy 😇
Would love to hear your thoughts, I’ll put the link at the bottom!
Aurora has also been a big inspiration for my poetry! I’m a spiritual poet and I’ve always been fascinated by mythology! I recently finished writing a poetry story book with 90+ poems on the Greek myth of Eros and Psyche. Listening to ‘The Gods we can Touch’ really helped me visualise some of the ideas! I even dedicated 1 of the poems to Aurora as a thank you to her words and inspiration! Hopefully one day I’ll be able to share it with her🤞Anyways, hope you guys like the tune!

I wanted to return to writing. I really did. But something always stopped me from doing that. Partying with my brothers and other stalkers, hunting dangerous mutants, trading with trustworthy and shady merchants, doing strange missions or just my own laziness. Not anymore.
Yep, it’s still Plagued who’s writing this miserable thing. Okay, I go hard on myself, because… I have hard time thinking about this, let alone writing about it. Several things changed – some for the better, but some for the worse. One thing at the time.
I remember a mention of a large party that we’d organize in the factory in Agroprom, after dealing with Interception. And we did – the biggest party the Zone ever witnessed. I’m completely certain that at least one hundred stalkers from various factions came to our place. Surprisingly, there weren’t any problems with our guests coming from different groups. I should write about it someday, because few things were out of this world, even by the Zone’s standards. But we gained more fame and respect as Riders.
Yes, Riders… As the name suggests, we should be riding something. We had a car with a horse drawn on it (from this, comes our other name – Horsemen), but we had to sacrifice it, so we could enter the main base of Interception.
From that point, we haven’t had any new vehicle. Quarrel, of course, wanted to have something new, but Craver tricked him and said he became a pussy, if he really needs a car here. Our exo guy, prideful as always, grabbed the bait and he didn’t mention it since then. But I could still see he’d really get one.

We told him the story about what he did (emptying two vodka bottles while we were doing it) and said that we could split the share. We agreed – getting out and selling things left in Interception’s armory made us a small fortune. By the Zone’s standards, we were living like the elite.
Another fun entry: we met with Overseer’s group. Well, he is not Overseer anymore, but Razhan. Since we killed their former masters, they could operate in peace. They decided that their experience would be most helpful with hunting mutants. Efficient guys – that’s the least I can say.
And other thing: many stalkers think that mutants are only representants of fauna here. That’s not true. We’ve found legendary fox, named Semyon. Cool little fellow, which Quarrel want to take it for himself. Even if he was treating it with respect, the animal eventually escaped. But exo guy wasn’t that sad and we compensated it with another drinking.
But they are also other animals here – Codex confirmed it. Yes, he got to our party. Dude emptied 0,7l vodka bottle in one attempt, as it was a juice. But then he said that he won’t repeat it again. He’s strong-headed too. I even asked about more info about his faction and provided me just that, but I can’t share it with you. Things like a photo of their best huntress, which looked stunning, but I’m out of her league, considering my ugly as fuck face.
Back to the topic… we saw moving groups of various animals which showed no or little signs of mutations. However, most majestic ones would be groups of mutated horses, called tarks, as well as non-mutated ones – Przewalski’s horses. Craver mentioned that it’d be cool, if we could get them as mounts. One can dream…
They were also dozens of things we did, like winning Arena’s biggest tournament (we opted for team part of it), exploring depths of Rostok, even exploring rarely visited part of the whole complex. But – like I said earlier – some bad things happen too. I’ll mention the worst.

On the one hand, it’s sad that he was abandoning us more often, but on the other hand, I was glad when he wasn’t around, because with him, atmosphere became more tense.
Next – Craver. Remember that I mentioned his insatiable appetite? Yes, it got worse. He eats as often as he smokes. Which reminds me… wait a moment, I’ll get my own… much better. Anyway, even if he doesn’t got wider, our funds go down faster because of it, but he doesn’t care and explaining that to him didn’t work, even by force. And he also met his new girl (she’s called Katya Malva, if I remember correctly) on our party, which helped him with returning to mercenaries, specifically to her group led by a guy named Faun, supposedly from Chechnya. People think that there’s only one merc ”faction”, which isn’t entirely true. They work together, but they don’t have one leader. There’s Dushman, but he only leads the biggest one, not all of them.
I already mentioned Sorrow. Did he got better? Nope. I think that because of recent events, he started to feel worse. I figured out that he was envious because of the relationships the other two had (which he confirmed to me, when he was drunk). He also started to drink more. Way more. On top of that, he started to leaving on his own. He was the one who still wanted to talk to me and said that he wants to think about various things, mostly his reason to exist. Sorrow still wants to teach his bird how to talk, but he also knows that Zrak won’t replace us completely, which he said that he wants and doesn’t want to happen at the same time. I can understand him, at least partially.
And what about me? I’m sick. Sick of this shit happening and having no ways to solve it. This has to be one of the worst feelings man can experience. I was re-reading my entries, reminding myself of events we lived through together… I almost lost myself to this dream world, which was more appealing to me than the real world. So I thought to myself that if I can’t work on improving others, I should start improving myself. How to shoot better, how to be faster, stronger, have more endurance… This won’t help with my appearance much, since I didn’t find artifact to make me not ugly, but I feel better physically. Mentally… I’m more of a mess now than I was in Big Land.
We were sitting in big room of Agroprom’s northern factory, where we had all of our stuff and our sleeping bags with bedrolls, all of us doing own things. Shit, I almost forgot. We don’t have Yan with us anymore. What happened? Snout became his good friend and they started going on adventures together. Eventually, they parted ways to do their own things, but I have still contact with him. He says that he’s doing alright. I should find him some day…
Quarrel stood up from the floor and started going in circles, visibly tense. I wanted to ask him about it, but I had to be careful to not make him even more angry. However, our tough guy himself said what was his problem.
”I can’t take this anymore!” – he screamed.
”Woah, Quarrel… what’s the problem?” – Craver asked, eating another chocolate bar.
”I just need having an access to a car. I miss it so much…”
”So you’re a pussy?” – our medic smiled.
”No… or maybe… you can call me however you want, but I’d really kill for having some four wheels.”
”You know… even if it isn’t the safest way to travel, I kind miss it too. We had good memories with our Stallion…”
”Yeah… why did we had to destroy it?”
”Because we had to eliminate Interception.” – I responded.
”We should find another way.”
”Too late for that. And got used to walking everywhere.”
”But you could help us with getting cars, so...”
”So you could abandon us completely?”

What’s wrong with you?” – I asked, angry. - ”You vanish for days, going to Flora or doing something else, but when you return here, you’re just pissed off, treating us like we’re worse than you. Similar to Craver, who seems to enjoy the company of mercs than ours. Because of that, our crew falls apart. Sorrow feels worse and so do I. So I should be asking what happened.”
This was the lighter variant of our more frequent arguments. I was wondering how could this happened so quickly. It’s near the end of May, so little more than two months, since we’ve destroyed Interception. And yet, it feels like way more time has passed since then.
I knew Quarrel was pissed, but I didn’t care at that time. Earlier, he’d back off, if I said the truth. Not anymore. But he didn’t do anything – he didn’t attack me and he didn’t respond to me. Craver looked like he didn’t care and started eating can of beans. Sorrow was turned away from us, looking from the window. Soon, there will be night, so I didn’t understand at first why he was doing that. But he explained himself.
”Guys?”
”What is it, brother?” – I asked with calm.
”We have company.”
All of us came to the window. My brother passed me binoculars. He was right – I saw several dozens of soldiers, which most likely came from the southern base. Not only that, but they had four helicopters accompanying them. Things looked bad, but I wanted others to see that as well.
”Huh… more like platoon to me rather than company.” – Quarrel commented. - ”But still… we should have any problems with… Hey! Where are you going?”
We were smarter than our brother. Maybe – I really mean ”maybe” – we could kill the offensive, if it was alone, but it had choppers and we aren’t rich in anti-air defense. So we decided to pack up and escape when we had a chance.
”Too many of them at once.” – I replied. - ”We should find other hideout.”
”Guys, you seriously want to go without a fight?”
I placed items on the floor. Then, I grabbed RPG standing in the corner (it was the one we took from Interception’s armory) and got to the window. I quickly aimed and fired at one of military helicopters. Soon after, it crashed on the nearby tree, but didn’t do any damage to infantry.
”There. We are going with enemy casualties.” – I stated. – ”You go with us or continue to be a moron?”
”Huh…” – Quarrel chuckled. - ”Okay, I’ll grab the crates. No need to get you more tired.”
”But where should we go?” – Craver asked, while he was collecting items.
”I suggest going to Irina. There’s enough place for all of us and I’ll have her and you close together.”
”Hmm… and it’s closer to abandoned cities – Dead City and Limansk.”
”Yep. And what about you, brothers?”
”Okay.” – me and Sorrow replied.
So we quickly grabbed almost all of our items, not including trash and escaped the factory before soldiers could do anything to us. Upside to this was easier access to weed, which Craver also likes. But how will life there look like? That remained to be seen.

Yep, it’s still Plagued who’s writing this miserable thing. Okay, I go hard on myself, because… I have hard time thinking about this, let alone writing about it. Several things changed – some for the better, but some for the worse. One thing at the time.
I remember a mention of a large party that we’d organize in the factory in Agroprom, after dealing with Interception. And we did – the biggest party the Zone ever witnessed. I’m completely certain that at least one hundred stalkers from various factions came to our place. Surprisingly, there weren’t any problems with our guests coming from different groups. I should write about it someday, because few things were out of this world, even by the Zone’s standards. But we gained more fame and respect as Riders.
Yes, Riders… As the name suggests, we should be riding something. We had a car with a horse drawn on it (from this, comes our other name – Horsemen), but we had to sacrifice it, so we could enter the main base of Interception.
From that point, we haven’t had any new vehicle. Quarrel, of course, wanted to have something new, but Craver tricked him and said he became a pussy, if he really needs a car here. Our exo guy, prideful as always, grabbed the bait and he didn’t mention it since then. But I could still see he’d really get one.

I’ve been trying to google related things but haven’t found any answers so maybe someone here knows what I’m describing or why it happens.
I’ve always been a cold, blunt, emotionless person (with the exception of rage). Throughout my life, it has felt like there’s been an internal conflict between intense self-hatred and inflated ego, depending on the day. That’s just some limited background info, I’m not looking for a diagnosis or to challenge any of my current diagnoses.
Last year I was put on Vraylar, an antipsychotic/mood stabilizer to control violent outbursts of rage. I stayed on it for about 6 months, and during that time, I felt peace like I’ve never experienced before. It felt like my head was quiet for the first time ever, which was wild.
One thing that bothered me about that medication (aside from intense weight gain) was that I experienced empathy. The first time it happened I was scrolling on my FB feed and I saw a video about how a father shot and k*lled an ex of his daughters for trying to break in with a weapon and hurt them (i’m not here to debate the politics of this video). Usually stories like this or true crime never affect me, but this one made me sick to my stomach. Like genuinely affected by this event and it was just crazy to me. I actually felt sick about something.
I made a comment about it to a coworker who struggles with mental illness and he was like “haha oh yeah, that fake empathy. Gotta love it.”
I haven’t felt it since getting off of the meds.
TL;DR: why do some medications cause pseudo-empathy? Is it even pseudo-empathy, or do I really have the ability to feel like that somewhere inside of me? Was it real?

So me (22F) and my family moved back to California about 6 years ago. We'd been bouncing around many states over the years because of my dad's startup business. This was especially tough because I feel like I have trauma from being moved as a child (I felt sick consistently for like a year after).
Anyway, they moved to Texas maybe 3 years ago and I stayed in California because I had just started on my degree (Interior Design). Well I'm finishing my degree very soon and my lease is up in a few months and I want to move to TX and in with them because 1. It's really expensive here 2. I've had a really bad experience with roommates 3. My boyfriend will most likely be in their state 4. I miss them and want to live with them again.
So my dad disagrees with me. A bit of background on him, he grew up in a very middle of nowhere place with no opportunities and in a really bad situation. He had to leave his hometown to essentially have a life and he was very successful (up until recently). He seems to think me moving to TX isn't a good idea and has kind of made me feel like I'm a loser and throwing it all away if I live with them because I'd be leaving California (he doesn't mean it like that but that's how I feel).
I argued that in their area, there's plenty of Interior Design firms and they look like what I want to do. I feel like especially because it's the beginning of my career, I should really be able to build my experience and portfolio almost anywhere I am. Hey folks, I just finished playing through P5R for the first time (I only played a few hours of P5 vanilla) and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it for the last few days, so I wanted to write down a few disconnected thoughts I've had about the whole experience. Of course this is all my opinion, so please take it with a grain of salt. Since it's a reflection on the full game, there will be big spoilers here. Okay here's a big wall of text:
-First thing's first, this game rocks. It's just genuinely extremely fun moment to moment in a way that not a lot of JRPGs are, in my experience. It gets interesting very quickly and is varied enough to keep your attention pretty much throughout the whole thing.
-Man, this game really gets its hooks in you emotionally. It's a silly, goofy, dumb story at times, but something about the way it's constructed is really successful at drawing you in and making you care about your little band of weirdos. I find myself with a kind of empty feeling afterwards that makes me want to just jump straight into NG+.
-The extra semester added in Royal really adds to the experience IMO. I like that, after Yaldabaoth, the party is forced to think about what world they want to live in--like why are they rebelling in the first place? Maruki's an interesting antagonist here for a lot of reasons, but the main reason I like him is that he gives the party a difficult philosophical problem. He's not trying to enslave anyone or exploit them. He really is trying to look out for their best interests. At the same time, though, the world he promises is ultimately impoverished. He wants a world in which there is no such thing as genuine achievement, no real chance of failure, and one in which our relationships with others don't ultimately mean anything beyond making us happy. It's clearly hard for the party to intentionally choose a world in which they might struggle more and feel more pain. But you just can't have all the things that are valuable in our lives without some pain and failure. It's a cool dilemma, and much more interesting than the one Yaldabaoth sets up.
-With that said, I think they probably could have come up with a better way to integrate the semester into the game. It's very weird to me that your high-school guidance counsellor is ultimately like an eldritch being warping the fabric of reality, and the explanation of how he ends up that way seems super sketchy
-I do think there are some changes that could have made the plot a bit stronger. Just in the Royal content, the characters come to give up on Maruki's reality really easily. But I think anyone who's lost a parent would tell you that it wouldn't be so easy to do that--many people would give an arm and a leg just to talk to their mom or dad again. It would have been neat to have maybe a week where all the characters ignore you and start to drift away--maybe the game could even make their confidant levels start to decay or something to add some drama to the situation. Like there could be a full week of in game time where none of them are available to hang out with, and if you find them in the overworld, they tell you they're too busy or something, before eventually coming around to agree to fight Maruki at the end of the week. This might feel bad temporarily but I think it would really help raise the stakes for the final confrontation with Maruki. Some time for the story to breathe here would help.
-It would have been nice if fewer of the confidant lines were resolved with a trip to Mementos--it became a little repetitive around the middle of the game
-In general, I think the plot would have benefited from a bit more friction between the party members. I get that Joker's the leader, but they all just fawn over him and agree with everything he says, or take every one-word response to be sage wisdom. I get that part of what makes the game fun is forging relationships with your confidants, and that the game can't make it too difficult to do that (especially given how many confidants there are). I just would have liked it if they toned it down a little bit--like if people treated you a bit more like a normal person than a special wonder boy who knows everything (like Sumire starts referring to you as her coach at the end of her confidant line--what do I know about gymnastics???)
-On that note, it's hilarious to me that, when Akechi rejoins the party in the third semester, the party adds him back to the group chat. Like damn, I get you have to work with him, but that doesn't mean you have to hang out with him. Nothing brings down the billiards vibe like your father's killer lurking in the background. I think it would have been okay for them to just not invite him to things.
-Same with Yoshizawa. Nobody else in the party has spoken to her but I guess they all just love her anyway? I don't think everyone has to be best friends.
-Everyone in this game reacts very well to Joker saying "Calm down." Try saying this to real people when they're mad and see if you get any music notes lol.

This seems intentional--when you replay fights, you realize how annoying it can be to have to go through multiple scripted sequences in a 40-minute fight over and over again. But with how easy it is to farm in Mementos and get totally busted personas, the game just didn't feel that challenging. I intentionally tried not to optimize much at all and still completed the final boss in one go.
-Throughout the game, I was constantly thinking about Psychonauts, which is a very different game with a similar premise (jump into people's brains and do some questionably-ethical DIY therapy). There are interesting contrasts--Psychonauts is only ~8 hours and P5R is 100+ hours, Psychonauts is an indie platformer and P5R is a AAA JRPG. Still, I think there are some interesting points of comparison. In particular, the worlds in Psychonauts are very visually and mechanically distinct from one another, whereas in Persona 5 the palaces are all more or less standard RPG dungeons with a few twists as window-dressing. Again, I don't think the same level of variety would have been feasible (or even good--it would have been exhausting). Still, though, I think the palaces people really like are ones that stand out the most mechanically, like Sae's or Futaba's. Others, like Kamoshida's, just basically tell us that the palace ruler sees others in a messed up way and that's it. We don't get a lot of exploration of how the specific ways in which Kamoshida is messed up make him different from other messed up people.
-It's a bit of a shame that a lot of the game's distinctive personality fades in Royal. The music towards the end of the game becomes a lot less funky and unique and a lot more standard JRPG wailing guitars. This is a problem with Royal in particular, I think, but also in the base game. I really missed Tokyo Daylight about 2/3s of the way in, and Take Over is simply no replacement for Last Surprise (there's just no contest IMO). Of course, there are some absolute bangers in the last few boss fights, but it seems like the team at Atlus either intentionally chose a different direction for Maruki's world or just ran out of juice on their initial creative direction by the end.
-I found the ending cutscene of P5R a little weird and disjointed. After watching the vanilla cutscene on youtube, I can see why. The vanilla cutscene acknowledges the suit guys in the car a bit more, and the whole setup of the scene is confusing (we're driving to the train station, but oops we're not, but oops we're all here, but okay bye take the train). It seems like the P5R scene was designed to subvert the ending of P5 vanilla more than it was to give a standalone ending for the game.
-Okay lastly, I know people hate to talk about politics in games, but let me do it briefly. Representation issues aside, the politics in P5R aren't terrible, but I think they're inconsistent. On the one hand, it's very cool to have a game be about people trying to make society better by dealing with abusive powerful people who can't be challenged. On the other hand, it's weird to think about societal reform as just being about 'changing people's hearts'--we need to do a lot more than that. The ending seems to suggest that, ultimately, the best thing the characters can do is try to find roles in existing institutions that will allow them to pursue their own ethical code. That's not a terrible message, but it's not very inspiring either. The game doesn't have a lot of interest in the question of whether these institutions are good in the first place. Like it's very cool that they beat Shido and it turns out nothing has changed. You might think that's because Shido wasn't the problem--the system that produced him is the problem. But then the game says, nope, not that, actually there's an evil god manifested by the 'sloth' of the people, and that's the reason everything's messed up. So at the end of the day it's not that there are systemic problems that create injustices, it's that all the individuals in society just happen to be too lazy to fight for what's right, so what we need to do is inspire them to do...something? It's weird. Some games have diagnoses but no solutions. This game has a solution but no diagnosis.

-First thing's first, this game rocks. It's just genuinely extremely fun moment to moment in a way that not a lot of JRPGs are, in my experience. It gets interesting very quickly and is varied enough to keep your attention pretty much throughout the whole thing.
-Man, this game really gets its hooks in you emotionally. It's a silly, goofy, dumb story at times, but something about the way it's constructed is really successful at drawing you in and making you care about your little band of weirdos. I find myself with a kind of empty feeling afterwards that makes me want to just jump straight into NG+.
-The extra semester added in Royal really adds to the experience IMO. I like that, after Yaldabaoth, the party is forced to think about what world they want to live in--like why are they rebelling in the first place? Maruki's an interesting antagonist here for a lot of reasons, but the main reason I like him is that he gives the party a difficult philosophical problem. He's not trying to enslave anyone or exploit them. He really is trying to look out for their best interests. At the same time, though, the world he promises is ultimately impoverished. He wants a world in which there is no such thing as genuine achievement, no real chance of failure, and one in which our relationships with others don't ultimately mean anything beyond making us happy. It's clearly hard for the party to intentionally choose a world in which they might struggle more and feel more pain. But you just can't have all the things that are valuable in our lives without some pain and failure. It's a cool dilemma, and much more interesting than the one Yaldabaoth sets up.
-With that said, I think they probably could have come up with a better way to integrate the semester into the game. It's very weird to me that your high-school guidance counsellor is ultimately like an eldritch being warping the fabric of reality, and the explanation of how he ends up that way seems super sketchy
-I do think there are some changes that could have made the plot a bit stronger. Just in the Royal content, the characters come to give up on Maruki's reality really easily. But I think anyone who's lost a parent would tell you that it wouldn't be so easy to do that--many people would give an arm and a leg just to talk to their mom or dad again. It would have been neat to have maybe a week where all the characters ignore you and start to drift away--maybe the game could even make their confidant levels start to decay or something to add some drama to the situation. Hey y'all,
I joined the subreddit a week or two back when I went through my break-up. At first, I was a mess, but I've slowly started to heal and, in matter of fact, see people again (I'm still trying to work with this part). I've read A LOT of posts on here and BreakUp and it's been helping a lot to know that other people have been going through something very similar - pain, anguish, the thought of losing a piece of yourself, and just overall sadness. Hell, for the first few days, I couldn't stop crying. Family, friends, and coworkers tried to make me feel better, and it did, but I just found solace to know that I wasn't the only one and that there are others that can understand and relate to me.
However... The situation surrounding my break up is vastly different from what I've been reading. Now, fair warning, there is a trigger warning considering sexual assault/ rape here, so please, if you can't go on, stop reading now.
I wanted to share my story for a few reasons:
When we started talking about getting exclusive, we sat down and had an intentional conversation about what I wanted and aspired for and what she wanted and aspired for. She was in a bad place, but I promised her that I would be there for her and give her all the support and encouragement that she needed. Slowly, but surely, we got her to go to therapy, start going to the gym (she's self-conscious a bit about her weight), and just eating right. Then, this year, I started to get her to just make sure she's taken care of by getting her to go to her doctor's appointments, dentist, getting her glasses prescription updated, and finally taking that step to talking to a psychiatrist. I refuse to take credit for any of this - she decided to really work on herself and change - I just encouraged and helped her along the way. We were also trying to find her a better job since her current jobs sucks and really just made her depressed. We worked on her resume, trying to get her into different places, and just working and grinding away to get her to a better place.
We spent Thanksgiving and Christmas together because she didn't have enough PTO to be able to see her family and it was a great time. Those 8 months, I become something else - something more. I started caring about myself less and started to make her happiness priority. Don't get me wrong, I didn't lose my sense of self, but she just made me more... Caring and loving? Basically, she made me warm up a lot and just care a lot more. That was the first time I ever experienced something like that.
Hopefully this doesn't sound like a pre-fluff piece or trying to justify my mistake. I want to showcase what kind of relationship this was BEFORE the incident happened. Basically, we were in a very loving and supportive relationship. Sure, we had problems at times, but we always calmly talked them out (no yelling, screaming, or bad intentions) and found a resolution. That being said... That all changed on May 18th.
LAST TRIGGER WARNING
Basically, I was high and sick and we decided to have sex. In the middle of it, she wanted me to stop, but I told her that it felt really good and I wanted to keep going.
Now, quick note, I've had trouble climaxing in the past. This was due to me being on SSRIs (Lexapro) and not knowing about the side effects. This came up in conversations with my ex several times (in a positive, constructive "how can we fix this" way) and she said that if I was close, I could keep going since it was so rare for me to climax. Just adding some background.
By her movements and the after-cuddling, I thought everything was okay. She pulled up her legs and really just... Made me think she was into it. Looked at me, moans, etc. Afterwards, we talked like we normally would and... Like, things looked and felt normal.
The next morning, she thought that I didn't listen to her saying "no" and that I violated her body, her trust, just... Everything. I thought she was perfectly okay, based on her actions, but she just went into flight-or-flight mode and just wanted it to be over.
She had thought that I had sexually assaulted her - that I raped her.
To say I was devastated was putting it lightly. I had way too many things going on in my mind.
I don't want to go too into detail since this is already a really long post, but Saturday came along. I called her since we wanted to talk. That's where she said she wanted to break-up. You can probably guess at how I reacted to that - just by crying and being stunned. She was crying a lot as well and... It was a lot. There's a lot of context that's missing here, but I told her that it's fine and that she's doing what she thinks is best. I hung up the phone and... I'm pretty sure you can guess what happened from there.
After getting some advice and support from family and friends, I texted her that we should meet up the next day to talk about things. She made it clear that she wasn't going to change her mind, which I was okay with - I just wanted to clear the air.
We talked A LOT about what happened that Thursday night. What I thought, what I felt. What she thought and she felt. It was a very emotional conversation. I asked her that if she ever thought that I would purposely would harm her and she said no, but after the events on Thursday, she could no longer trust me, feel safe with me, just... Everything was lost. I asked her if that, all the things that we did for the past 8 months, all the love, support, and care was just meaningless and that this one event would define the relationship and she just cried.
Now, before I continue, I recognize my fault in this. I've accepted it and really worked with it with friends, family, and my therapist.
I asked her why didn't she just say "no" again or push me off. I understand that the first time should be the last time, but I was so confused and I thought she was being slightly playful about it. But... After I asked her why didn't she stop me, she just broke down saying that she didn't love herself, didn't care what happened to her, didn't care about her body, and just... All this really hurtful stuff. I asked her if I didn't love her enough, raise her up enough, support her enough to fill those gaps, even a little bit.
Another quick note, one month before we did go out, she did get SA'd by the person she was seeing. They were barely seeing each other for a month, not even official.
I just thought that I did more, you know? Like... Did the 8 months not even matter? Was I on the same level as that guy?
She wrote a letter before we talked that I read. She does that to really organize her thoughts and make sure her point is understood. The words that she used... "Violated", "loss of trust", "loss of safety"...
After reading that, the amount of guilt and hate that I harbored for myself just went out of control. We ended the meeting and then I was left with my own devices.
I talked with a lot of people. Friends, family, coworkers, my therapist. They all said the same thing: Yes, I did have a part in this that was wrong, but the main issue was the lack of communication. I also learned that, because of her sexual assault trauma from previous experiences, that she just... Froze. That there was another response to "flight-or-fight". That's why it seemed like she was okay with the entire thing on that Thursday. My therapist said that I must've triggered her trauma. She also said that there was no way I could have known and that this was just fucking unfortunate.
To be honest, almost everyone said that, but it didn't make me feel a whole lot better.
A lot of people asked if she talked about her previous SA experiences in therapy... Which, I know she didn't, so she hasn't been able to process them yet. She has a lot of issues stemming from her family and I think that she's just working on that for now. So... Yeah, she just thought I was one of them, I guess.
That being said, I didn't give up, at least indirectly. One of my cousins started to be there for her from my request since she just has A LOT going on right now. I wanted to make sure that she was okay and kept on moving forward. I also did a lot of journaling that I printed out and asked my cousin to give to her when they met up.
Long story short, she's doing just fine and is keeping up her wonderful progress, but she cut off contact after meeting my cousin that one time.
She texted me after that saying that she still loves me so much, but she can't forgive what's been done.
It stings, but I didn't reply. I genuinely want the best for her and, if she ever needs it, support her. But I really did everything I could have to fix things. Now, everyone recognizes it's on her to realize what happened, process it, talk through it in therapy, and really understand the difference between what happened with me and what happened with the others. Trust me, I really did try all that I can.
If she did see/ understand what happened and tried to come back into my life as a lover or a friend, would I accept? Of course. I love her deeply. But, for now... I'm just working on myself and trying to forget about her. If she wants to reach back out, she can - I made that abundantly clear in my journal entries that my cousin gave her for me.
Yes, a part of me still hopes, but I'm mostly recovered. I just hope she's doing okay.
But yeah, I just... You can provide thoughts if you want. I have really talked this through with everyone I can, even risking my job. Everyone concluded that we both had fault in this, but I did try everything. Just... The situation is really fucked up.

On the day of, I told her that I was sick and she said that I should come over so that she can take care of me. I drove down to her place after work and we did our usual routine. Cuddle, hug, talk, and then eat. For some odd reason, I thought that if I got high, then I would feel less like shit and feel a bit better. My ex knew about this, so she was okay with it. Finally, when we got to the bedroom, things got a bit frisky and we started having sex.LAST TRIGGER WARNING

I asked her why didn't she just say "no" again or push me off. I understand that the first time should be the last time, but I was so confused and I thought she was being slightly playful about it. But... After I asked her why didn't she stop me, she just broke down saying that she didn't love herself, didn't care what happened to her, didn't care about her body, and just... All this really hurtful stuff. I asked her if I didn't love her enough, raise her up enough, support her enough to fill those gaps, even a little bit.
Another quick note, one month before we did go out, she did get SA'd by the person she was seeing. They were barely seeing each other for a month, not even official.
I just thought that I did more, you know? Like... Did the 8 months not even matter? Was I on the same level as that guy?
She wrote a letter before we talked that I read. She does that to really organize her thoughts and make sure her point is understood. The words that she used... "Violated", "loss of trust", "loss of safety"...
After reading that, the amount of guilt and hate that I harbored for myself just went out of control. We ended the meeting and then I was left with my own devices.
I talked with a lot of people. Friends, family, coworkers, my therapist. They all said the same thing: Yes, I did have a part in this that was wrong, but the main issue was the lack of communication. I also learned that, because of her sexual assault trauma from previous experiences, that she just... Froze. That there was another response to "flight-or-fight". That's why it seemed like she was okay with the entire thing on that Thursday. My therapist said that I must've triggered her trauma. She also said that there was no way I could have known and that this was just fucking unfortunate.
To be honest, almost everyone said that, but it didn't make me feel a whole lot better.
A lot of people asked if she talked about her previous SA experiences in therapy... Which, I know she didn't, so she hasn't been able to process them yet. She has a lot of issues stemming from her family and I think that she's just working on that for now. So... Yeah, she just thought I was one of them, I guess.
That being said, I didn't give up, at least indirectly. One of my cousins started to be there for her from my request since she just has A LOT going on right now. I wanted to make sure that she was okay and kept on moving forward. I also did a lot of journaling that I printed out and asked my cousin to give to her when they met up.
Long story short, she's doing just fine and is keeping up her wonderful progress, but she cut off contact after meeting my cousin that one time.
She texted me after that saying that she still loves me so much, but she can't forgive what's been done.
It stings, but I didn't reply. I genuinely want the best for her and, if she ever needs it, support her. But I really did everything I could have to fix things. Now, everyone recognizes it's on her to realize what happened, process it, talk through it in therapy, and really understand the difference between what happened with me and what happened with the others. Trust me, I really did try all that I can.
If she did see/ understand what happened and tried to come back into my life as a lover or a friend, would I accept? Of course. I love her deeply. But, for now... I'm just working on myself and trying to forget about her. If she wants to reach back out, she can - I made that abundantly clear in my journal entries that my cousin gave her for me.
Yes, a part of me still hopes, but I'm mostly recovered. I just hope she's doing okay.
But yeah, I just... You can provide thoughts if you want. I have really talked this through with everyone I can, even risking my job. Everyone concluded that we both had fault in this, but I did try everything. Just... The situation is really fucked up.

I have not received any type of raise since I started the job.
Not only that, but suddenly its busy season. My boss is on me about customers and getting tanks done. He asks for impossible numbers. Batista interrupts and tells Edge that he might think he’s smart but the reality is, he’s nothing but a coward who stole the World Heavyweight Championship and it won’t be long till he takes back what’s his. Mark Henry says not only is he back and took out The Undertaker, he’s going to destroy Batista again like he has before and will have no issue taking out Edge too because he has the one thing he really wants an opportunity at, the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge says both men have nothing to do with him and can stay away from his World Heavyweight Championship. However, Teddy Long disagrees and tells Edge that Batista and Mark Henry both have a case so Edge will defend his title against both men at Judgment Day. Edge is furious, already feels like Teddy Long has an agenda against him and demands to be traded back to Raw but Long denies Edge his request. During the match, Batista and Henry are so focused on beating the hell out of each other that it costs them as Edge hits a Spear out of nowhere on Batista and pins him to retain his championship.)

(Shawn Michaels says he had John Cena beat at Backlash and if he wasn’t lucky, he’d be the WWE Champion. Michaels then challenges Cena to defend the WWE Championship against him one more time at Judgment Day. Cena accepts the challenge because he’s a fighting champion. Michaels says he doesn’t want this to be an ordinary match and tells Cena he wants it to a match he won his first WWE Championship at WrestleMania 12, an Iron Man Match! Cena says that’s fine because Shawn Michaels is about to find out he isn’t the only iron man in the WWE. Cena also proposes for it to be for a full hour which Michaels accepts. This is essentially the match they had on Raw in London in real life but with a different outcome. John Cena wins 6-5 to retain the WWE Championship in all time classic. After the match as Shawn Michaels gets up and receives a standing ovation from the fans, Randy Orton from out of nowhere hits him with an RKO, beats the hell out of The Showstopper in front of his wife to the point he bleeds and punts him in the skull. This writes Michaels off TV.)

Edge tries to convince Long to change the stipulation but Long isn’t having it and tells him he’s giving the fans what they want. Edge sneaks a chain into the match, smashes Batista over the head with it and escapes the cage to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.)
Falls Count Anywhere Match for the WWE Championship:
John Cena (c) vs Booker T w/Sharmell
(After being drafted to Raw, Booker T immediately sets his sights on becoming the WWE Champion. Booker T says Raw is a far fairer run place with Jonathan Coachman in charge compared to SmackDown with Teddy Long. Booker T basically kissing the ass of Coachman is why he grants him the opportunity and Coachman also announces it’ll be a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Cena says he’ll punch Booker T’s teeth down his throat while still proving he’s the top dog in the company while Booker T promises to win the 1 title that’s eluded him in his legendary career.)

My opinion on Chris Benoit:
(So, now we’re finally here in the timeline 😬. First of all I just want to say to those who may ask “why have you pushed a murderer?” In the timeline, I’m booking as if I’m in all these years. As a booker, how would I know in 2004 for example what’s going to unfold in 2007? That’s why Benoit is pushed. I’m not going to utterly bury him while he’s alive in the timeline. Now what I’m going to do here is bury him now the tragic events have unfolded. Chris Benoit in my opinion is one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time, I will never dispute that. I was a huge fan of his and when he won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 20, it was an unbelievable moment and the fact he celebrated with Eddie Guerrero topped it all off. However, what he did was unforgivable and anyone who has any conspiracy theories like he was framed, I’m sorry it’s just not true and the police investigated it properly. The facts are, Chris Benoit did murder his wife Nancy and his son Daniel. I don’t care about CTE or the fact he apparently had a year to live with an enlarged heart. As Paul Heyman said an interview once, f*ck him. The facts are that Chris Benoit murdered his wife, murdered his son and then proceeded to kill himself. The WWE will absolutely never put him in the Hall of Fame and that’s the correct decision because Benoit lost that respect when he did what he did. I personally hope he rots and this is the last he’ll ever be mentioned in this timeline. I want to lastly say to finish this off, my heart goes out to those affected by this tragedy back in 2007 and Rest in Peace to Nancy and Daniel Benoit ❤️.)

Henry says Kane will once again feel his wrath just like his brother The Undertaker and Batista have.)

(Bobby Lashley wins a Fatal 4-Way match against Booker T, Randy Orton and Mr.Kennedy in order to face John Cena at The Great American Bash. Lashley tells Cena that he respects his dedication and desire but when push comes to shove, he has no hesitation breaking him in half if it means he wins the WWE Championship. Cena says Lashley is an incredible athlete who’s unbelievably gifted but he’s going to show the whole world that Lashley’s time isn’t now the way a lot of people think it is. John Cena retains after delivering an FU from the top rope and both men shake hands after the match. When Cena’s alone in the ring, Randy Orton from out of nowhere delivers an RKO to Cena and holds up the WWE Championship as the show draws to a close.)

John Morrison says he’s the prince of parkour and CM Punk's ambition of being the ECW Champion again will be crushed by him for good. Punk promises to become and 2 time ECW champion while also ensuring Morrison has no teeth after the match. CM Punk wins to become a 2 time ECW Champion.)

(A one on one match that’s a long time in the making. Batista wins a #1 Contender’s Match against Kane and says this is a match he’s wanted for a while because he’s never fully gotten revenge on Mark Henry for putting him out of action which forced him to surrender the World Heavyweight Championship. Henry says he’s also been waiting for full revenge after Batista also cost him a year of his career when he came back and assaulted him. Both men brawl whenever they see each other in the build up. During the match when Henry’s on top… GONG! The lights come back on but Taker doesn’t appear. Henry then receives a Spinebuster from Batista and The Animal pins him to win the World Heavyweight Championship!)
WWE Championship:
John Cena (c) vs Randy Orton
(First time ever in a one on one capacity. Randy Orton says while Cena has been on top for the last few years, he’s always avoided facing him one on one and tells him the reason he does is because he knows The Legend Killer is better than him! Cena tells Orton to stop talking out of his ass and if he wants to fight him, he’s ready for the challenge and just like the others, Randy Orton will be on his list of guys he beat. Randy Orton cheats when the referee isn’t looking by hitting Cena with a low blow. Orton then delivers an RKO and pins John Cena to win the WWE Championship!)

Burke says he’s going to clean up ECW for Vince McMahon by getting the ECW Championship off him because Vince is right, Punk is a misfit who’ll never succeed in the WWE and is only the ECW champion through pure luck. Punk says not only is ECW the land of extreme but it’s also the land of misfits and it makes him and the ECW Championship the perfect marriage. Punk promises to not lose his title to a shameless ass kisser like Elijah Burke.)
World Heavyweight Championship:
Edge (c) vs Mark Henry vs Batista
(After winning the World Heavyweight Championship, Edge says once again he’s proved he’s not only the best wrestler in the company but he’s also the smartest as he watched The Undertaker take the ultimate beating before cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Batista interrupts and tells Edge that he might think he’s smart but the reality is, he’s nothing but a coward who stole the World Heavyweight Championship and it won’t be long till he takes back what’s his. Mark Henry says not only is he back and took out The Undertaker, he’s going to destroy Batista again like he has before and will have no issue taking out Edge too because he has the one thing he really wants an opportunity at, the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge says both men have nothing to do with him and can stay away from his World Heavyweight Championship. However, Teddy Long disagrees and tells Edge that Batista and Mark Henry both have a case so Edge will defend his title against both men at Judgment Day. Edge is furious, already feels like Teddy Long has an agenda against him and demands to be traded back to Raw but Long denies Edge his request. During the match, Batista and Henry are so focused on beating the hell out of each other that it costs them as Edge hits a Spear out of nowhere on Batista and pins him to retain his championship.)
60 Minute Iron Man Match for the WWE Championship:
John Cena (c) vs Shawn Michaels (6-5)
(Shawn Michaels says he had John Cena beat at Backlash and if he wasn’t lucky, he’d be the WWE Champion. Michaels then challenges Cena to defend the WWE Championship against him one more time at Judgment Day. Cena accepts the challenge because he’s a fighting champion. Michaels says he doesn’t want this to be an ordinary match and tells Cena he wants it to a match he won his first WWE Championship at WrestleMania 12, an Iron Man Match! Cena says that’s fine because Shawn Michaels is about to find out he isn’t the only iron man in the WWE. Cena also proposes for it to be for a full hour which Michaels accepts. This is essentially the match they had on Raw in London in real life but with a different outcome. John Cena wins 6-5 to retain the WWE Championship in all time classic. After the match as Shawn Michaels gets up and receives a standing ovation from the fans, Randy Orton from out of nowhere hits him with an RKO, beats the hell out of The Showstopper in front of his wife to the point he bleeds and punts him in the skull. This writes Michaels off TV.)

(Vince McMahon says he’s confident for sure that CM Punk’s days as ECW champion are rightfully numbered because he’ll be defending his title against the new draft pick… Chris Benoit! Benoit says Punk’s a talented wrestler but he’s no Chris Benoit, the greatest technical wrestler on the planet. Punk says he has a huge level of respect for what Benoit’s accomplished in his wrestling career but he sees this as a massive opportunity to prove doubters like Vince McMahon wrong and he’ll ensure he does in what’s no doubt his biggest challenge since winning the ECW Championship. CM Punk wins clean to retain.)
Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship:
Edge (c) vs Batista
(Batista says that weasel Edge being the World Champion makes him sick and promises he’ll destroy him and take back the title. Edge says Batista doesn’t deserve another chance at the World Championship but Theodore Long disagrees and says Batista’s two one on one rematches for the title never had a definitive finish so he announces Edge will face Batista at One Night Stand and the match will be… a Steel Cage Match! Edge tries to convince Long to change the stipulation but Long isn’t having it and tells him he’s giving the fans what they want. Edge sneaks a chain into the match, smashes Batista over the head with it and escapes the cage to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.)
Falls Count Anywhere Match for the WWE Championship:
John Cena (c) vs Booker T w/Sharmell
(After being drafted to Raw, Booker T immediately sets his sights on becoming the WWE Champion. Booker T says Raw is a far fairer run place with Jonathan Coachman in charge compared to SmackDown with Teddy Long. Booker T basically kissing the ass of Coachman is why he grants him the opportunity and Coachman also announces it’ll be a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Cena says he’ll punch Booker T’s teeth down his throat while still proving he’s the top dog in the company while Booker T promises to win the 1 title that’s eluded him in his legendary career.)

My opinion on Chris Benoit:
(So, now we’re finally here in the timeline 😬. First of all I just want to say to those who may ask “why have you pushed a murderer?” In the timeline, I’m booking as if I’m in all these years. As a booker, how would I know in 2004 for example what’s going to unfold in 2007? That’s why Benoit is pushed. I’m not going to utterly bury him while he’s alive in the timeline. Now what I’m going to do here is bury him now the tragic events have unfolded. Chris Benoit in my opinion is one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time, I will never dispute that. I was a huge fan of his and when he won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 20, it was an unbelievable moment and the fact he celebrated with Eddie Guerrero topped it all off. However, what he did was unforgivable and anyone who has any conspiracy theories like he was framed, I’m sorry it’s just not true and the police investigated it properly. The facts are, Chris Benoit did murder his wife Nancy and his son Daniel. I don’t care about CTE or the fact he apparently had a year to live with an enlarged heart. As Paul Heyman said an interview once, f*ck him. The facts are that Chris Benoit murdered his wife, murdered his son and then proceeded to kill himself. The WWE will absolutely never put him in the Hall of Fame and that’s the correct decision because Benoit lost that respect when he did what he did. I personally hope he rots and this is the last he’ll ever be mentioned in this timeline. I want to lastly say to finish this off, my heart goes out to those affected by this tragedy back in 2007 and Rest in Peace to Nancy and Daniel Benoit ❤️.)

During the match, there’s a referee bump and Batista is getting ready to finish this until The Great Khali appears and lays out The Animal! Edge capitalises when the referee regains consciousness and pins Batista to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.)

The newly named John Morrison who’s leaving Johnny Nitro behind tells Vince to not worry, he’ll take care of business for him which Vince gives him the vote of confidence. Punk says this time he’s ready for Morrison unlike at Night of Champions and will become a 2 time ECW Champion. Morrison says even prepared, he’s just too good for Punk. John Morrison cheats to retain the title after hitting Punk with brass knuckles when the referee isn’t looking.)

(Teddy Long announces that Mark Henry will defend his title against Kane at The Great American Bash because Kane had earned an opportunity to fight for the World Championship when Edge was champion. Kane says that he’s got unfinished business with Henry and revenge will be sweeter when he wins the World Heavyweight Championship. Henry says Kane will once again feel his wrath just like his brother The Undertaker and Batista have.)
WWE Championship:
John Cena (c) vs Bobby Lashley
(Bobby Lashley wins a Fatal 4-Way match against Booker T, Randy Orton and Mr.Kennedy in order to face John Cena at The Great American Bash. Lashley tells Cena that he respects his dedication and desire but when push comes to shove, he has no hesitation breaking him in half if it means he wins the WWE Championship. Cena says Lashley is an incredible athlete who’s unbelievably gifted but he’s going to show the whole world that Lashley’s time isn’t now the way a lot of people think it is. John Cena retains after delivering an FU from the top rope and both men shake hands after the match. When Cena’s alone in the ring, Randy Orton from out of nowhere delivers an RKO to Cena and holds up the WWE Championship as the show draws to a close.)

Punk promises to become and 2 time ECW champion while also ensuring Morrison has no teeth after the match. CM Punk wins to become a 2 time ECW Champion.)

Rey Mysterio wins the title and retires the Cruiserweight Championship on the SmackDown after SummerSlam.)

Booker T’s motives are simple, Triple H once made his life a living hell and he wants to get revenge he never truly got. Booker T promises to put Triple H back on the shelf and embarrass him on his return. Triple H wins in a 10 minute match and Booker T leaves the company after this match.)

(A one on one match that’s a long time in the making. Batista wins a #1 Contender’s Match against Kane and says this is a match he’s wanted for a while because he’s never fully gotten revenge on Mark Henry for putting him out of action which forced him to surrender the World Heavyweight Championship. Henry says he’s also been waiting for full revenge after Batista also cost him a year of his career when he came back and assaulted him. Both men brawl whenever they see each other in the build up. During the match when Henry’s on top… GONG! The lights come back on but Taker doesn’t appear. Henry then receives a Spinebuster from Batista and The Animal pins him to win the World Heavyweight Championship!)
WWE Championship:
John Cena (c) vs Randy Orton
(First time ever in a one on one capacity. Randy Orton says while Cena has been on top for the last few years, he’s always avoided facing him one on one and tells him the reason he does is because he knows The Legend Killer is better than him! Cena tells Orton to stop talking out of his ass and if he wants to fight him, he’s ready for the challenge and just like the others, Randy Orton will be on his list of guys he beat. Randy Orton cheats when the referee isn’t looking by hitting Cena with a low blow. Orton then delivers an RKO and pins John Cena to win the WWE Championship!)

Basically the title, I'm 20 AFAB and I take Lamotrigine 200mg daily. I'm diagnosed with CPTSD, BPD and depression. Some background, when I was 18 I reached a bmi of 15, I didn't have anorexia because I didn't want to be skinny, but I was severely depressed and couldn't cook for myself or even get out of bed. I didn't hate food tho, sometimes I would eat 3 bags of crisps in a row. I got much better since then, up until last april. I made a trip to my relatives house, and it honestly scarred me. Every bit of food they made was absolutely disgusting, and every day I was miserable. When I came back, I somehow ended up eating only sandwiches every day because I somehow couldn't bring myself to put more effort to cook, and at one point I started feeling embarrassed at the idea of cooking something else because I felt like I didn't really deserve it. Gradually I went from eating two sandwiches a day to eating just one, and now that I ran out of bread I seriously can't eat anymore. Every bit of food, even snacks, makes me feel very full after one bite, and now it honestly makes me throw up when I put any food in my mouth. It makes me severely sick, and I literally can't. And it's weird, because I didn't feel like that even at my lowest weight. I dont really think it's because of my relatives food, because I don't really think about it when that happens, I just seriously can't take it and I have to throw it up the moment it gets into my mouth. My stomach hurts all the time and all I can do is drink water. Any advice or explanation of this situation would be very much appreciated, it's the first time this happens and I'm really scared tbh.

I’m a central Long Islander who’s just looking for good vibes with someone down-to-Earth, and hopefully also located on Long Island. Someone I could share memes and watch movies with. Someone I could talk to for hours into the night and share music and memes with. Weebs and gamers are especially welcome. If you’re on the awkward or introverted side, it’s far more likely to endear you to me than turn me away. I deal with demanding people and responsibilities being dumped on me at home AND at work, and nothing would make me happier than to meet someone I can let my guard down and decompress and geek out with.
I got promoted to project manager at the testing lab I work at about a month ago, and have been working long hours to acquaint myself with the position and get comfortable. In addition, I teach weekly ESL classes to Spanish and Haitian Creole-speaking locals. I’ve had to financially support my mom (long story short: my father is a complete non-factor in my life) and manage our home for the past few years, which has locked me into “workaholic” mode. With the promotion/raise, Mom’s health improving, and less need to work long shifts now that I’ve got my shit together though, it looks like I may be free to start relaxing and enjoying myself. Free to “live” a little, so to speak. My ultimate goal, career-wise, is to break into financial or managerial accounting, but hopefully not be married to my work and have time to take things easy and enjoy the little things in life between work.
Just about anyone who knows me would describe me as calm, collected, blunt, and generally on top of things. I don’t mince words when I see that something is wrong, and I like to see issues resolved or at least communicated as quickly and thoroughly as possible. I have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor that a lot of people seem to find hilarious. For anyone who cares (I personally don’t), I’m a Libra and apparently an extreme ISTJ. (A buddy made me take a test) Outside of my work and personal responsibilities, though, I tend to be pretty relaxed and unconcerned about most things. A lot of stuff just isn’t worth losing sleep over, you know? That aside, I tend to appreciate the more quiet and simple things in life, so I tend not to get along with loud or materialistic people, or people who always need drama and noise in their lives.
Just a few things I like to indulge in, when I can:
- Going out for excursions and exploring Long Island (lately I’ve been interested in exploring new parks and restaurants)
- Learning about animals and watching animal/pet videos
- Reading/Literature (I’m on a hunt for rustic, realistic/historical fiction kind of novels like Pearl S. Buck’s “House of Earth” trilogy or more psychedelic or dark works like Haruki Murakami’s Kafka on the Shore or Ozamu Dazai’s No Longer Human.)
- Documentaries about history, social phenomena, true crime, and nature
- Studying foreign languages (I know 4) as well as learning about foreign countries’ history, culture, and recent/current goings-on
- Anime and manga. Thoroughly familiar with Naruto (not Boruto, though), Dragon Ball Z, Fullmetal Alchemist, One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, and Attack on Titan, but now I’m more interested in more experimental, dark, and lesser-known/standalone works like Samurai Champloo or Texhnolyze or Mushishi. My most recent readthrough was Holyland.
- Gaming, although I’m as casual as it gets. I only have a Switch at the moment, and mostly play Smash, Saint’s Row, Animal Crossing, Sifu,and Street Fighter, although I’m getting more and more interested in fighting games by the day. I’m hoping to get a PS4 sometime in the future. Also currently replaying Pokemon HeartGold and Black 2, so Pokemon nerds, feel free to hit me up!
- Putting together folders of cool images, backgrounds, aesthetics, and scenery.
