Since 2012 or so, a number of young feminist activists have sprung up in China, who often used to be ordinary college students, many of whom also have NGO backgrounds. Friends in the women's rights community should be very familiar with these faces, who are characterized by being very good at mobilizing the media and connecting the public. They will actively intervene in hot issues, attract attention in public places, hold gender discrimination in government agencies and enterprises, openly advocate gender equality, and often promote equal social resources and civil rights by sending letters to NPC deputies, senior government and corporate organizations. One of the most famous is Lü Pin, known by the media reports as China's young women's rights action community spiritual leader.
Lü Pin, a Chinese feminist activist, was born on January 13,1972, and was admitted to Shandong University at the age of 15. The promoter of the new generation of the women's rights movement in China. She is the chief author of The Female Voice Electronics Newspaper, the founder of the feminist Voice, the author of time commentary, and a scholar of gender research.
Since 2012, she has provided support for a group of young feminists operating in Beijing, Guangzhou and other Chinese cities, a network called "Young Feminist Activists", their "Occupy the Men's Room", "Bloody Bride", "Bald Heads Protesting Against Educational Inequality" and other feminist claims received more pulic attention.
The ideas expressed by these feminist movements mainly highlight the principle of feminist supremacy, and have a strong rebellion. Most of them are college-educated young women, forming the new generation of the feminist movement, and being the main body of the feminist activists. Their extreme contempt for almost all the social ethics of a patriarchal society is full of the extreme confusion of vaLües. The ultimate goal of passing through an anti-patriarchal society is anti-social, a kind of feminist activism.
Curiosity about Lü Pin's women's rights movement has raised questions. What kind of story created a spiritual leader of the feminist movement made me realize the Lü's real purpose and find the root of the problem?Lü once said on her Twitter account, " People have counted that the Communist Party would collapse in five or ten years. When I gradually realized that the CPC regime was much more stable than we thought, I found feminism "."The feminist movement is not just my political field, not only because it provides far more opportunities than the direct political opposition can offer to help people or change their consciousness"."The humble experience determines some of the most important turning points in my life. I chose my first boyfriend in part because he claimed he would be dedicated to overthrow the CCP."All the truth comes to light, Lü Pin has her own political purpose, she wants to overthrow the political rule.
How about Lü Pin's political ambitions. Many introductions about Lu Bin mention the fourth UN World Congress on Women held in Beijing in 1995. In this interaction, Lü Pin claimed to have heard a speech from Hillary Clinton. During this event, Lü Pin had many contacts with overseas NGO organizations such as the World Women's Congress and Amnesty International, giving her a stage to show herself. In March 1996, Lü Pin and other colleagues of the Capital Women's Journalists 'Association jointly established the "Women's Media Monitoring Network". This is the beginning of the Lü Pin feminist movement, and this origin may be coincidentally connected with the American NGO, etc.
Lü Pin realizes the backer of ambition. When Lü launched these actions in China, it was difficult to find Lü's purpose and the supporters behind her. But after the east window incident, Lü Pin's backer came to the surface. (Edit to add: he got his heartworm medication on 5/22 and flea and tick medication Bravecto on 5/19, he lives with a senior dachshund who is not experiencing any of these symptoms, he may have been exposed to a puppy with "worms" - did not receive any other information about this)
On Thursday I noticed a "scab"-like lesion on his nose. He went to the vet on Friday and the doctor said it was just a scab and to apply Neosporin. This seemed wrong to me because I would’ve noticed if he scratched himself long before a scab formed. Now it’s Monday and it's only gotten worse - it’s gotten bigger, has appeared on the other side of his nose and the corner of his mouth. Should I go back to the vet? It’s only getting worse. I’m afraid of how bad it can get. This obviously isn’t a scab that formed from an injury, but what is it? He also has a flare up of his "usual" red rash with some scabbing (actual scabbing) near his belly, not sure if related.

I know skin issues are popular here and difficult to diagnose even in person, but since I went to the vet already I wanted to ask this community for their opinion as well. Should I call the vet? About 3 months ago, I experienced a series of very stressful events for the duration of one month. The concluding event was traumatizing to me and has left me with very bad anxiety ever since. I can’t stop thinking back to little things that happened during this time period, especially because of how unfairly everything played out in the end. I constantly feel like my heart is being clenched. Sometimes I see people who look similar to the individuals that stressed me out during this time period, and I feel like my heart has stopped for a few seconds. It’s hard to sleep and sometimes I zone out thinking about what happened and just cry silently. I’ve never had anxiety like this before and as someone diagnosed with MDD (no longer depressed though) it feels worse than depression. How can I erase this memory and move on?

Barry’s sent to the future, and Thawne is sent to the present where he’ll meet with Colbat Blue. With Thawne, Colbat Blue has brought in Zoom who was released from The Speed Force’s control and is no longer The Black Flash after it died (because let’s face it there’s no way cold could’ve destroyed Black Flash), he’s released Godspeed from prison, and he’s brought Savitar back to life by some Time-Travel shenanigan or maybe he didn’t die because Crisis (I know it’s contrived but I don’t want to do a threat that could destroy an entire timeline plot, I want to focus on the past villains as this arc’s main threat) and Thawne is going to ask Colbat Blue (he doesn't know that he's Eddie because he viewed Eddie as irrelevant in Season 1. Eddie will wear a hood and mask) what does he want? Eddie will smile.

I had a crush on this guy at work, and we had both recently broken up with our long term partners. I broke up with mine a couple of months ago, and he had broken up with his around a similar time; a few months ago. He told me and a bunch of other work colleagues that the reason he broke up was because his girlfriend wanted kids and he didn’t. I also don’t want kids, and I found him quite attractive, so I had hoped we could become friends and maybe be in a relationship together.
Last year, he happened to move into the same area as me quite close by, and had asked me if I had wanted to come along with him to a local bouldering gym (bouldering is basically indoor rock climbing but without ropes). Back then when he had offered we were both still with our partners. At the time I declined since it was on a work night and I had to go into the office the next day (which is far from where I live), plus I’m not too much of an active person. I also hadn’t done rock climbing in years.
Recently, I had lunch with him at our office and I suggested, “Hey, maybe we can hang out and I can come bouldering with you sometime, maybe when you next go!” And he agreed. Sometime when we were talking that day, he mentioned how his ex-girlfriend was staying at his place. Which I found a little odd at first, but I knew that they seemed to have stayed friends after their breakup due to her being the “mum” to his pet dog; he was still letting his dog stay at her place from time to time, which I thought made sense since the dog must miss her from being with her for so long (I believe they were together for at least 5 years). Also, she lives quite far away from where he lives, so I also assumed her staying at his was also for convenience (the public transport in my area is atrocious) and she was just staying in the second bedroom he had.
Next week I messaged him asking if he was going bouldering that week. Initially he said no, since his dog had to get his leg amputated due to bone cancer, and he was off work looking after him. So I said to him “All good, hope he gets better soon!” And didn’t expect anything else. But he came back and said he’d spoke with “Amy” and was thinking he could bring his dog down to the bouldering gym with “us”. I assumed Amy was a person at the gym that he had asked permission to bring his dog along to, and that “us” referred to him and his dog.
So I’m getting ready, feeling exciting thinking I’m going to spend time alone with my crush. And when I get picked up by him at my place, I go towards the car, but he gestures for me to go to the other side of the car. Confused, I get in, and I see a woman sitting there who I was pretty sure was his ex-girlfriend (from previously looking through photos on his Instagram). I played dumb and asked if she worked at the bouldering gym. She didn’t. Then I asked how they knew each other, to which he replied sheepishly “Oh, she’s my girlfriend”. I could’ve died of embarrassment. But I did my best to play it cool and act like it didn’t bother me at all, which I think I did a pretty good job of.
At the gym, when he went off while we did our safety induction (he had done bouldering at this gym already), I asked her, playing dumb again, how long had they been together, to which she replied that they’ve been “on and off”. I thought, yikes, they must be together again. That evening was awkward, but I focused on myself and on climbing up the walls, while still making sure I was chill and friendly with them whenever either of them talked to me. I noticed she asked me twice during the time we were there if I had grown up in the area (I had), which I found odd; the second time she asked I just answered normally as if she had asked the question the first time.
The car ride back was the most awkward, I thanked him for the lift and the invite and he said “Well, in a roundabout way, you invited me!” I didn’t know what to say to that, so I just said “Oh, haha, sorry!” The girlfriend then thanked me for inviting her, to which I said “I actually didn’t know you were coming”, and she said “Oh, surprise!” In a definitely awkward tone. I got out of the car thinking, what the hell just happened?
I did feel hurt and humiliated at first, but now I’m just laughing, honestly, it was so weird. Who invites their girlfriend along like that without the other person’s knowledge, I have no clue. But I’m proud of myself for staying strong and calm throughout the situation, and I at least discovered I’m better at bouldering and being fit than I thought.
TL;DR I go to a bouldering gym with my crush from work and his pet dog, but he brings along his ex-girlfriend turned girlfriend (?) without my knowledge and it’s awkward as hell, and I felt so embarrassed (but now I just find it kinda funny).

So my ex bf(m27) and I (m22) just recently broke up after being together for 2.5 months(known him for 4 altogether). We met at the same resort and had a deep connection and talked for hours and had a lot of fun together. We stayed in contact, and wanted to see where this connection went. It was going very well and planned a vacation together, and it was the time of our lives, we made so many great memories together and had brought us closer and had some great deep conversations. I told him I have anxiety(anxious attachment here) and have past relationship trauma(cheated on, lied to, etc) and he was really great with keeping a safe space for me and reassured me when I needed it. It came to a point where I was asking for too much reassurance, and it was making him frustrated. I’m in therapy and I told him I’m working on it and that I appreciated him for everything. But we had a conversation about the relationship cuz I felt we weren’t on the same page about the pace we were going. We started off going at a faster pace, then the past month he kept telling me that he wanted to take things slow and have fun. So I just wanted to clarify, and it ended up with him telling me he wants to settle down and have someone to come home to, and that he was afraid of the process and how long it would take for me to move to Canada(I’m from the US). We pushed off talking about how that would go down until we were more serious. But he said it would take a few years for me to even get approved to move to canada and by that point he’d be in his 30s and that was concerning for him and that he’d be out of his prime. There’s also the fact that im traveling abroad for a year and he said it’s hard for him to wait for me while im out traveling(which is very valid and I completely understand). But he knew this when we got together and said it would be fine with him. He ended up breaking it off but im just surprised. Last week he was saying how happy he was and excited to see me in a few weeks and now this? I’m just so confused and I care for him deeply and I was under the impression he cared for me too. We had such a great connection, intimacy, shared values, communication,etc. I don’t want to just throw it away. Should I reach back out in a few days or weeks? tldr; Dads ptsd or security mode triggered while away with mom and sister. Mom is having a hard time with it.
My dad 62m and mom 59f, had another argument. I'm 31m.
For added context, my dad is a retired cop. He has lingering ptsd from that job and working 9/11.
Last weekend my parents drove my sister out of state to her internship. My mom just wants a relaxing weekend and to focus on getting my sister acclimated. They were driving through some area that may have looked kind of sketchy but they were fine the whole time. Dad got stressed just being there. Maybe there was some yelling. He's distracting my mom who's driving and she jumps a curb.
I heard them discussing it today. My mom was very upset about it. Not just because of this incident, but because it keeps happening. My dad says he's sorry. He knows it was the wrong reaction. But in the moment, I guess he's unable to control it. Some kind of tunnel vision maybe.
It's been an ongoing theme for over 20 years. It's always something different. Most of the time it's something that happened at home, but the reaction is usually the same.
My mom has been trying to help him this whole time. Listening to him and trying to teach him that these aren't appropriate reactions to certain situations. She's helped get him on meds for his mental health. She's gotten him on his 3rd therapist that specializes in ptsd in first responders which finally seems to kind of work. He likes the therapy. On top of that she keeps up with his heart and blood pressure meds and appointments. But she will also always call him out on his bullshit and it gets exausting when it doesn't change.
And on top of that she has a bunch of her own patients as a nurse practitioner that she helps all day long.
He's helpful in other ways. Like he'll cook once in a while. Does all the lawn work. Does some cleaning. Takes care of the cat litterboxes. He's creative with woodwork and other things. But he's emotiionally unaware and overreacts to certain situations.
I think after all this time, my mom was just hoping to eventually get to the solution. And I think my mom is realizing that after spending so much time trying to get him a therapist who hes been speaking with almost a year, that maybe this would stop happening and she's not sure what else to try.
When I get a chance, I'm going to try suggesting my mom get her own therapist.
I'm also looking to move out of state, but how am I supposed to leave and then it's just the two of them here?
I don't know if I'm looking for advice or what.

All my life I have never know what hobby to pick up, I have tried so many things and enjoyed them all but never stuck to one and if I do go for longer than a week with one hobby I get bored and want to move on for various reasons. How can I chose a hobby to stick to and finally learn and get good at.

"Ive lost the joy of living. Im not actively sad about any particular matter, but the simple lack of joy and happiness is killing me. I go on day to day feeling like an empty shell, and even though for a brief moment i might find excitement or joy in some activity or event or occurence, it disappears just as fast as it came about. My goals, if i ever really had any serious ones, feel so far and distant, while the challenges are becoming greater and getting closer, brought onto me mercilessly by time - and the obstacles to get where i, ideally, would want to be seem to me insurmountable. Any semblance of motivation to achieve a goal has left my soul, as my continuing state of living brings nothing in return. I can feel time both running away from me, but also bringing more and more burdens onto me still."

I'm 27, F from the GMT+1 time zone (If that's important to you). I personally don't care what time zone you're from, I'm up at strange hours. I write in 3rd person, past tense and I write all pairings but I have a slight preference for MxM :)
My stories are typically filled with drama and angst and can range from more horror themed to fantasy, maybe even dystopian. I prefer a grim/bleak type setting where the characters tend to go through a lot. If my characters are happy for a long period of time, something's off.
I prefer for there to be romance in the story, that's not really something I'm willing to budge on. Side note, I am a sucker for the enemies to lovers trope and I enjoy doubling as well or just generally writing multiple characters.
A thing that I always enjoy are vampire/werewolf stories, they are just classic. I can do both more historical and more modern settings. Anything that has more gothic vibes to it will get bonus points! Now what I really don't like is SoL and more Sci-fi based plots, so please don't respond if you want to write in those genre's.
